I watched all of JJBA
Tumblr media
My thoughts on it, no major spoilers:
FIRST OF ALL: If I were to recommend it to someone, I would say watch the parts in the order of: 3, 1, 2 (although 2 is largely irrelevant), 4, 5, 6. By all logic, I should hate this anime. It goes almost completely against my taste in fiction.
Continued under cut
Watching this anime is like getting waterboarded, occasionally a genuinely good moment will come where I am allowed to take a breath, but before i even register it some bullshit happens and I am dunked back in.
However, while getting waterboarded, I’m in a desert, i see the fucking stardust crusaders in the back, this is the only water source so while i cant breathe i am glad to have access to it.
Then finally, a particular moment comes, and i start drinking all the water, until theres nothing left and i finally breathe, and that particular moment is when father Pucci appears on screen, an essay on why he’s the best character coming hopefully never.
Watching this is like being forced to bash my head against a wall at gunpoint, and then being happy that my blood made a cool pattern on the wall. None of the characters act like real people. Time and space does not exist. Inconsistencies are everywhere.
Set ups and no pay off. Pay offs withOUT setups?? The characters describe their every action so honestly you could watch this with forks in your eyes and still know whats happening, except you won’t know from the intense mindfuckery that takes place.
But overall I had a great time. Amazing soundtrack, loved the OPs, I love the char designs and I love art that isn’t afraid to be weird and unapologetic in its weirdness, it’s insanely creative and the humour can be great, some moments genuinely had me hyped and my eyes wide
I loved how in a lot of episodes it focuses more on the antags, making you root for them (though thats often cuz the protags are annoying-)
My fav part is absolutely Stone Ocean, it has the best protag and antag, best visuals, side characters that I actually gave a shit about unlike most side chars in the prev seasons. Still rooted for the antag though.
My fav Jojo is Jolyne, second is Giorno (but the version of him in my head anyway cuz he had an amazing set up but shitass payoff in my opinion)
Fav side chars are Rohan, Anasui, F.F., Ermes, Bucciarati was alright I guess, I like Trish’s design, Polnareff was entertaining.
Fav villain is hands down Father Pucci, he’s the reason I watched this entire thing, the character who apPEARS IN THE VERY FINAL FUCKING PAR- Dio close behind. Kira was fun as well.
Gonna read Steel Ball Run maybe, because I’m still in the fucking desert and i need water-

Can you write hcs for the jojos having a s/o thats like shinobu in demon slayer?
This one was fun ngl!! Shinobu has a fun personality to work with. I know Giorno breaks one of my rules but, I’ll make an exception for him.
I’m sorry for leaving Gappy out, I haven’t read part 8 yet 😔
JOJO’S WITH AN S/O WHO’S LIKE SHINOBU
———————————————————————
Tumblr media
JONATHAN
-He is purely your chaos control
-He has to take a bit to get used to your teasing, after a while he can tell when’s it’s comping and laughs it off with you
-He’s surprised to see your angry side at first, he didn’t know you hated vampires this much!
-He understands your hatred and helps you calm down if it’s needed! Be prepared for bear hugs
-A complete gentleman. He think your teasing is fun, I think this is a great pairing ngl
Tumblr media
JOSEPH
-Too much energy + too much energy
-Tease him and get teased right back. This is gonna be a constant thing and you will NOT win
-This isn’t just for the two of you. It’s both of you against Caesar, he gets absolutely no break
-He’s a little bit scared of you when you’re angry. You fight just a little too well for him not to be
-Be prepared to be a force of pure chaos together
Tumblr media
JOTARO
-Too much energy + no energy
-He is mildly annoyed by your teasing, but he’d be a liar if he said that he didn’t like it every now and again
-You seem to understand his emotions best out of anyone. Much to his appreciation
-Angry? He’s not one to calm you down, he doesn’t really seem phased by your angered state
-In reality is also scares him but only you really know that
Tumblr media
JOSUKE
-Too much energy + too much energy: electric boogaloo
-When teasing Josuke you either have a full tease competition or it just so happens to not be a good time and now he’s a lil pissy
-Just don’t tease him about his hair and all will be good!!
-Unlike most of the other JoJo’s, Josuke thinks that your angry side is kinda fun! Especially if he’s using it against Rohan
-Mischief shall insue
Tumblr media
GIORNO
-He is here for your chaos and is doing nothing about it
-Teasing doesn’t really get a reaction out of him, but he loves seeing what reaction it gets out of his friends
-Just like Jotaro he doesn’t really react to your angered state, one of the few not actually scared of it
-In fact, sometimes he really encourages the state and will egg it on depending on the situation
-Create chaos in the gang, do it he is gonna support you
Tumblr media
JOLYNE
-Most chaotic paring here
-You thought Joseph would be a tease back? Jolyne is him tenfold. You two tease each other at every opportunity
-It has gone on for entire days at some points
-Jolyne is only slightly scared of your angered state, and it’s only if it’s someway directed at her. Other then that she is egging you on during it
-You radiate pure chaos together, it’s amazing 20/10
Tumblr media
JOHNNY
-Too much energy + fairly normal energy?
-Johnny isn’t too found of your teasing, weather directed at him or someone else. It just kinda rubs him the wrong way
-He will admit though, it is kinda funny when you tease Gyro. His reactions are just priceless!
-Johnny is especially scared of your angered state, well he was at first. Now he’s just used to it and thinks it’s very helpful in fights
-Is kinda a chaos control but not like Jonathan levels

I wrote this instead of sleeping lmao. Who needs sleep when you can think about the Jojs

I had this conversation with my non jojo bestfriend today so I wanna talk abt this: do yall think stands are genetic for every average person or is only genetic with the Joestars? I mean like if someone in some average family had gotten a stand (randomly born with it, corpse part, arrow, devils hand etc) do you think their decendants would be born with stands too because of that or would it not affect them at all? I was thinking about this and originally I thought that it couldn't AT ALL be passed genetically but then like what about the Joestars because most of them developed stands when Dio got his stand (in Jonathan's body) due to their family connection or something. Except Jolyne i assume because she was not born at the time? However, Giorno wasn't alive at the time yet he was born with a stand it had just not fully awoken yet at first, perhaps it was because his mother was pregnant with him when Dio got the stand but at the same time im fairly sure she was with him afterwards? Since I'm only halfway though part 7 and I have not gotten up to 8 at all I cant fully say but from what I know every other character has been born with it randomly and it wasn't passed on by genetics, (Avdol, Polnareff, Kakyoin) was given to them by a stand arrow, (basically all of part 4 and 5 other than Josuke, Jotaro, Joseph and Giorno who are all Joestars that got their stands either from being a Joestar or their dad being Dio with Jonathan's body, ANOTHER JOESTAR) OR getting their stands from a corpse part/the devil's hand which i can't really have full say in because like I said I haven't finished part 7 (please no spoilers other than explaining anything i get wrong about them OR any new way to get stands in part 8 that i don't know) im genuinely curious and wanna know so if anyone wants to spend some time talking with me about this and telling me about anything I've missed and stuff im literally begging you because I love JoJo and I find it so interesting
Also sorry if this paragraph is confusing i was trying to get all my thoughts out to prove my point. I'm planning on going though and doing a full analysis once I finish reading JoJo however that may take a while because I like reading slow and I just thought that if someone who has already finished it and doesn't mind atleast summarising it would help me I'd get an answer to this question quicker 💀

JoJo´s bizarre adventure stone ocean´s ending and why pucci didn´t win
I first read the jojo series when i was in 10th grade, i was getting started on manga and even though i knew parts 1-6 and parts 7-8 were completely different timelines/universes i decided to read from parts 1 to 7 to accomodate to arakis drawing and writing style, but undoubtedly the ones i remember the most are parts 5 and 6, maybe because of their recent anime adaptations but i think it is more likeli because giorno and jolyne are my favorite JoJos overall, but what i was surprised about is that there is an astonishing amount of people the actually misunderstood how pucci´s made in heaven works and whink that he actually won at the end of part 6, there is even people that thought "irene"´s universe and steel ball run where the same universe, so i wil go through a brief explanation of what really happened on part´s 6 ending, obviusly, spoilers ahead.
pucci´s plan is to take the universe to an end and to a new beginning, he does have a real strong belief that fate does exist and his past talks with dio only strenghtened that belief, well what does have to do one thing with the other?, pucci ones to make this kind of "big bounce in the universe ending it and creating it again to bring it to the same point in order for souls to know their inevitable faith to accept true happiness.
but how does pucci plan to make this? after evolving his stan white snake into c-mooon and into made in heaven, it´s ability has become acceleration, sound simple right? well it is a bit more complicated than that he accelerates everything except living being on themselves, but they can still get affected by the environment, for instance, the accelerated environment will make a peoples eye liquids/tears to evaporate, and if they are hurt their wound will bleed what it would normally bleed but more quickly, these acceleration also applies to gravity making objexts fall quicker and with mor estrenght, by accelerating time he plans to make something similar to the"big bounce", but there is various catches:
- pucci is immune to any effect of the accelerated environment but can move extremely fast still (i dont say negative effects because of one of the following points)
-time stopping stands just as jotaro´s star platinum: the world have their time-freezing windows tremendously decreased thanks to the accelerated flow of time
-any person that pucci kills during the universe reset will have their souls trapped on a limbo until a new world withouth the effects of made in heaven is created, if pucci dies he stops existing, he does not come back with a matured soul, nor is replaced by a copy soul, he simply stops existing.
having these factors out of the way now comes the explanation of the ending, after pucci killed all of our main protagonist group except for emporio in his room stand and having reseted the universe with "fake souls" for all the main characters pucci  killed in the final confrontation of emporio with heavy weather, weather report´s stand, while a second universe reset is taking place, emporio kills pucci, wich removes him from existence, the reset is complete and emporio is the only person who remebers both resets, he appears on the side of a road in this new 3rd universe, and is found with new versions of the main cast, the new jolyne being called irene, but this is the souls of the jolyne who died, just having been brought back from the limbo during the secoind reset where pucci died,, the same for every main character who pucci killed, the twist being their souls have matured thanks to the events of part 6 and both resets, leqading to happier lifes to all of them, irene not being a jojo anymore, thus breaking the joestar curse, now being calle cujoh irene and getting along just fine with her father, unlike the og jolyne, anasui never killed anyone so wasnt sent to prison, hermes was not in prison either, and pucci having never existed in this new and final universe, means probaly weather lived a happy life withouth all the disgrace that he live din his past life.
this said i hope it clarifies a lot of misconceptions i see abour stone ocean and i hope you liked this brief explanation.

why pucci is an underrated villain
so basically, i love pucci and this is why
Tumblr media
(warning: spoilers for jojo’s bizarre adventure, stone ocean. also, this is a sort of continuation of my other post “why jolyne is an underrated jojo”, and while you don’t have to read that post to understand this one, you can check that out as well if you haven’t and want to.)
Enrico Pucci is a jojo villain who i think gets looked over as a character way too much. I don’t see much hate directed his way (in fact, i often see him being praised as an exception to the rest of part 6 by people who dislike the part- “I hate everyone in Stone Ocean except for Pucci” is basically a classification of Stone Ocean Dislikers™ to me). But, i feel like he does often get forgotten. I see him mentioned easily the least out of every jojo villain, and when he is, he’s always just there to be a simp; a DIO simp. His entire characterization in the fandom is just “I love Jesus and want to fuck DIO”, which gets on my nerves sometimes. (The Diopucci aspect is actually even sort of problematic, but I’ll get to that later). I think there’s a lot more to Pucci’s character than just “Christian who is also a loyal DIO follower”. Additionally, to my knowledge, not very many people have gone into depth about Pucci’s character and explained why they do like him.
So, here are some reasons why i think pucci is pretty great
first: his stand(s)
Pucci’s first stand, Whitesnake, has the ability to create illusions and take aspects of a person in the form of discs (usually he just takes stand and memory discs, but he can take other aspects of people as well, as we saw when he removed his eyesight).
Now, honestly, I love Whitesnake just from the concept alone. It can forcibly rip aspects from people in the form of discs? That’s cool as hell.
Tumblr media
rip jotaro
Whitesnake’s illusions are its second ability, albeit used less than the discs. It can put people into a dreamlike state while their bodies are slowly eaten away with acid, and can also be used to disguise Whitesnake, as demonstrated when Pucci disguised it as Weather Report to get close to Jolyne and the rest of the group.
Tumblr media
People have criticized the fact that Whitesnake doesn’t use the acid attack again after the first time he does it, and that it was an “araki forgot” moment that the ability was only used once. However, I think it makes sense that Pucci wouldn’t use this on Jolyne again. The acid is very slow, and easy to get out of if you’re aware of what’s going on, which Jolyne would be since she’s gone through it once before. The attack is kind of a one-time ability, and if it fails, it can’t really be used again with the same effectiveness.
I also really like Whitesnake’s design, and how you can infer more about Pucci’s character by paying attention to it.
Tumblr media
For example, Pucci is a priest and a supposedly devout Christian, but Whitesnake evokes much more of a “devil” feeling in its black, spiked outfit, constantly angry expression, and broken eyes that appear as though they’re melting, which is contradictory to what Pucci thinks of himself as- a kind, benevolent Christian who wants to redeem sinners and “achieve heaven” for the rest of the world.
A lot of people also like to assign stereotypes or generalizations related to very strong-believing Christians to Pucci, like:
“Pucci is homophobic because he is a Christian.”
“Pucci doesn’t believe in science because he is a Christian.”
“Pucci is heavily conservative because he is a Christian.”
But, if we’d take a look at Whitesnake, would those stereotypes be necessarily true? The patterns covering its body read “GΔCT”, or the letter symbols for DNA. Something like DNA symbols covering Pucci’s stand would imply that he does believe in science, which would also mean that he believes in things like evolution. This conflicts with the common view on Pucci in the fanbase, which makes me think not a lot of people have realized this.
It’s something that you wouldn’t catch if you hadn’t paid close attention to Whitesnake and understood what the symbols meant. So, I think that’s pretty cool.
There’s also what Whitesnake is named after, which is the English rock band formed in 1978 of the same name. I think Araki chose the band “Whitesnake” in particular because it fits with the stand’s aesthetic and abilities:
-White is a color associated with purity and goodness, but snakes are animals associated with death, poison, untrustworthiness, and evil. This effectively makes the name “Whitesnake” an oxymoron.
-Whitesnake’s acid attack could be considered like a snake’s venom. Additionally, it being able to create illusions fits with the “untrustworthy” feeling a snake evokes.
Whitesnake is probably in my top ten favorite stands in the entire series. It has a very cool ability, symbolizes its user well, has a good design, and was used in an interesting way.
Now onto Pucci’s second stand, C-Moon.
Tumblr media
C-Moon is what Pucci’s stand became after he fused with the Green Baby, a creature made out of DIO’s bone.
I won’t discuss much about its appearance, because I think it’s pretty straightforward- since it’s a fusion of Whitesnake and the Green Baby, it appears as a fusion of the two. What I do want to talk about is its ability, which is to:
a. shift gravity in a 3-kilometer (1.86 mile) radius around Pucci
and b. Turn everything it hits inside-out.
C-Moon’s ability is just cool as hell. I know that’s not a very intricate reason, but it counts. I loved the fight with C-Moon, and the things Jolyne had to come up with just to keep herself from dying in one hit.
I also thought it was interesting that C-Moon was a remote-control stand, unlike Pucci’s other stands. I like to think that the fact that it’s a remote-control stand that follows simple orders is related to the fact that it is partially made of the Green Baby, which is an entity separate from Pucci. Perhaps the Green Baby is C-Moon, in a way? It is a living being, after all. Maybe the Green Baby’s consciousness is in C-Moon, and it follows Pucci’s orders. After all, it and Pucci fused, but all Pucci himself seemed to gain from that was a change in hairstyle and weird eyelashes. Its consciousness should’ve logically went somewhere.
There’s also the song that C-Moon is named after, which is the Paul McCartney song of (you guessed it) the same name. I think the relation to the lyrics of the song and the stand is pretty straightforward.
“C moon, C moon, C moon is she C moon, C moon, C moon to me How come no one older than me Ever seems to understand The things I wanna do? It will be L7 And I'd never get to heaven If I filled my head with glue What's it all to you?”
The lyrics “I’d never get to heaven” is clearly relating to Pucci’s goal of achieving Heaven, and the fact that the next stand is named Made in Heaven. C-Moon is the transition stand in-between Whitesnake and MiH, so it probably represents the fact that Pucci is facing his greatest struggle yet to achieve heaven with Jolyne and the others trying to stop him, and that it would be “L7″ (which means lame) if he never got to heaven when he’s already gotten so far.
I really like C-Moon. It’s not my favorite stand, but it’s got a neat ability and the fight against it was one of the better fights in part 6, in my opinion. I just wish it was around for a little longer? It doesn’t exist for very long, but it definitely leaves an impression.
Then, there’s Pucci’s third and final stand: Made in Heaven.
Tumblr media
Made in Heaven is probably one of my favorite stands in JoJo. It is the culmination of all of Pucci and DIO’s work up until that point, and is just generally epic as fuck, honestly. Even if you don’t like part 6′s ending, you kinda have to admit that the concept of Made in Heaven as a stand is very cool.
Made in Heaven is a stand with the ability to accelerate time. This makes it the last of the series of stands with time-focused abilities held by villains- DIO with the ability to stop time, Kira with the ability to turn back time, Diavolo with the ability to erase time, and finally, Pucci with the ability to accelerate time.
It also comes with a few additional variables that Pucci can control. He can control what Made in Heaven accelerates specifically- this is how he accidentally ended up aging the baby we saw in the scene where he was taxed by his stand and was unable to fully control his powers, but in the final fight, he only accelerated inanimate objects, like the Earth and the sun, but kept living things such as humans unaffected.
Made in Heaven’s acceleration also slowly grows faster and faster as it goes on- days went from being an hour long to two minutes long to three seconds long, and then to the point where the Earth span so fast around the Sun that it appeared as a strip of light instead of a sphere.
Tumblr media
Finally, it stops when the Universe hits the “singularity point”, and resets into a new one.
Tumblr media
To be honest, when I was reading this, I was mostly thinking of how cool this will look when it gets animated. I’ve seen several fan animations online of the Made in Heaven arc, and if the anime looks even half as good as those, I’ll be happy.
There’s also Made in Heaven’s design, which is probably the most unique-looking out of all of the main villains’ stands. It appears with a humanoid look from its head to its waist, with it being intercepted by the front end of a horse. This evokes a centaur-ish feeling, with the main difference being it has the front end of a horse instead of the back end. There are also ropes attached to the horse’s head that the humanoid part holds on to, which evokes the feeling of someone riding a horse (Pucci horse girl confirmed?) It also glows and sparkles, and has the color palette of being white and gold with a couple other light colors for the accessories. This gives strong “heavenly” vibes, and makes it appear as though it really could have come from heaven itself. (It even sort of gives me “biblically accurate angel” vibes, in a way- specifically, maybe a cherubim. Although, that may be a stretch.)
There’s also Made in Heaven, the Queen song that the stand is named after. Ignoring the fact that Made in Heaven is a banger and a perfectly fitting song for a stand like this, the lyrics are also significant and connect to Pucci.
“I'm taking my ride with destiny Willing to play my part Living with painful memories Loving with all my heart”
This, when read with the context of JoJo’s, is clearly talking about Pucci. He’s playing his part in the Heaven Plan, and taking a ride with destiny (he believes that he is being helped by fate to achieve “heaven”). He also has many painful memories of his past- the tragedy with Weather Report and Perla, and the death of the person he worshipped and was friends with, DIO.
“When stormy weather comes around It was made in heaven When sunny skies break through behind the clouds I wish it could last forever, yeah Wish it could last forever, forever”
I think this could possibly be related to Weather Report’s ability. Pucci was killed by Emporio with Weather Report (the stand), and part six ended out with stormy weather.
Tumblr media
“Made in heaven I'm playing my role in history Looking to find my goal Taking in all this misery But giving it all my soul”
This seems like Pucci believing that his goal in life was to complete DIO’s original plan of attaining heaven. He’s gone through loads of misery in his life, but he pushes through and finally achieves his goal (before being killed, and having all of his work reversed and being erased from reality... but let’s not talk about that just yet.)
So... Made in Heaven is an absolutely terrifying stand. I love it.
Second: Pucci’s personality and relationships
When it comes to Pucci’s personality, people mostly just characterize him as being a heavily religious Christian who worships DIO (like I stated in the beginning). But, I feel like there’s a lot more to him than that.
Like, for example, can we acknowledge the fact that Pucci can be genuinely hilarious?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pucci gets mad at a prisoner for stealing his cross so he abruptly cuts from his casual conversation and slams her head on the table
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pucci doesn’t have a record player on him so he uses a random guy’s head to play Hallelujah
Tumblr media
Pucci is just... climbing the NASA poster on the wall... because he wants to, I guess. Thanks for the visualization, Pucci.
He’s mostly pretty calm and composed, but he has so many ridiculous, out of the blue moments where he just becomes chaotic as hell. I love it.
He also has some little character quirks that I found to be fun and charming. We can see that he’s conversational, and likes having innocent small talk with the prisoners (in his first scene, he has a serious discussion with a prisoner about heaven, but ends up derailing the conversation and talking about cherries instead and almost forgets his original point.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His method of calming himself down is, interestingly enough, counting prime numbers. We know he’s been doing it for a while, too, because he’s memorized them up to the thousands.
Tumblr media
I found it strange and random at first that counting prime numbers was something that Pucci did to calm himself down, but the more I thought about it, it actually ties into his philosophy. Pucci is a person who gets anxious and scared about all of the disorder in the world, so universal constants like prime numbers help him by reminding him that there is still order in the universe.
I also really like how, unlike villains like DIO and Diavolo, he doesn’t really start off as very overpowered. He’s strong, but not invincible, which makes him an attainable threat that Jolyne and company could take care of at first. However, as they failed to prevent him from progressing through his heaven plan, he slowly grows stronger and stronger, gaining more powerful stands and abilities until he becomes practically invincible with the stand Made in Heaven. (Can I mention that I just find it really cool how Pucci’s stand evolves over time? It makes for an interesting plot progression.)
There’s also a very important aspect of his character that I’ve been neglecting to talk about until now, and that’s his relationship with DIO.
Tumblr media
DIO and Pucci have a very interesting relationship with each other. They appear to be much closer with each other than any other DIO follower we see- they have several scenes where they have very personal interactions with each other, and it’s clear that Pucci cares about DIO very much.
We’ve seen before that DIO has a very different temperament towards his followers than he does his enemies. He appears very relaxed, calm, and polite towards most of his worshippers. It’s somewhat apparent that this is mostly a front to appeal to them, and he unleashes a much more chaotic, almost manic attitude in the final fight against Jotaro. But with Pucci, it seems like his down-to-earth attitude is much more genuine, and it seems as if he does really respect and like Pucci as a person and a friend.
Pucci is the only one who knew about DIO’s heaven plan, and helped to form it with him. He also knows a lot more about DIO than most of his other followers do- he knows where he sleeps, and is often invited to DIO’s home to have friendly chats and discuss casual topics with each other. They even have some banter with each other that normal friends would have.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love Pucci’s smirk at that line, lmao
They even have an honest conversation about how Pucci’s stand could easily take out DIO’s The World, and leave him standless. Pucci could betray DIO and get away with it very easily- DIO even demonstrates this by grabbing his hand and forcibly pulling it towards his face, revealing The World’s stand disc in his forehead. However, Pucci reassures DIO that betraying him is something that’s never even crossed his mind before, and DIO says this:
Tumblr media
The reason DIO brought up the thought of Pucci betraying him was because he was genuinely afraid of losing him. He says that Pucci is someone that he really likes not just because he’s a powerful stand user, but because he really just likes to hang out with him. This is probably the most vulnerable we see of DIO, and it’s incredibly interesting. It’s something that he doesn’t show very often, but Pucci brings out of him.
This has also led to a lot of people that ship Pucci and DIO with each other. It’s a big meme in the fanbase, and it’s easily the biggest jojo villain ship. And when you first look at it, it makes a lot of sense- they’re very close with each other, and there’s even a scene where they share a bed together. DIO is canonically bisexual and seduced many of his followers with the gender being irrelevant, and Pucci’s sexuality is ambiguous at best, since we don’t see him date or show attraction to anybody in the series.
But... here’s the thing. Pucci was actually a minor when DIO was around. He was fifteen years old when he and DIO first interacted.
Yeah... you see the problem here? I don’t really want to ship a hundred year old vampire and a teenager together. Although, I don’t really blame people who do ship them; there’s nothing to suggest that Pucci was a kid in this flashback, and I think most Diopucci shippers just genuinely aren’t aware of that. (also, i think it’s fine to headcanon that maybe pucci could’ve had a crush on DIO still or something like that, as long as it’s unrequited on DIO’s part).
So, I think I’m just going to stick to friendship between DIO and Pucci. I genuinely do like their friendship with each other, too. It’s very interesting, and I think it makes DIO a better villain in retrospect with the knowledge of his full plans for the world, and the fact that he did really care about someone despite how evil he is towards everyone else.
There’s also another character that Pucci has an important relationship with, and that’s his fraternal twin brother, Weather Report.
Tumblr media
Weather Report (his real name Domenico Pucci), while not getting very much screen time by himself, plays a very important role in Pucci’s life and the story. He starts off as someone hiding out in prison with no memories of who he is- not even his name. That’s how he got the nickname “Weather Report”, because everybody simply called him by his stand name. He was extremely quiet and mellow, and most people in the prison weren’t aware of his existence.
Then, he finally recovers his memory disc at the end of the Underworld fight, and has a... reaction to it.
Tumblr media
Suddenly, Weather’s personality changes drastically. He becomes a violent, impulsive person who constantly flaunts his abilities and attacks innocent people simply for annoying him. This freaks out even Anasui (who is creepy as hell in his own right).
Tumblr media
Rainbows appear in the sky- a subconscious effect caused by Weather’s powerful stand abilities being unlocked for the first time in years. This extension of his abilities is called Heavy Weather.
Also, uh... snails. Lots of snails.
Tumblr media
Now, this is important to Pucci, because he is the only one who understands Weather’s ability properly- he’s the one who removed Weather’s memory disc in the first place.
I’m going to discuss more about Pucci’s backstory in the next section, but him and Weather Report do serve as parallels to each other, and understanding Weather is important to understanding Pucci.
A thing that struck out to me about Weather’s stand is that it appears as a fluffy mass of clouds forming a humanoid.
Tumblr media
I want to point out the parallel between Weather Report (the stand) and Whitesnake. While Whitesnake appears as a devil, Weather Report appears almost like an angel as a white, cloud-like being.
Weather (the user) and Pucci’s designs are also sort of hypocritical to their actual characters. Looking at Weather Report, you would probably guess that he’s the evil one and Pucci is the good one.
Tumblr media
He literally appears with horns on his head, like a stereotypical demon. Meanwhile, Pucci is a priest- a person who claims to be a man of God.
Tumblr media
He has priest robes, and even a star on his forehead after fusing with the Green Baby. His design would tell you that he presents as a good, virtuous person, but his actual character is nothing like that. Meanwhile, Weather appears almost devil-like, but again- his actual character is nothing like that.
Weather is also the first one to call out Pucci’s hypocrisy and the evil that he’s doing without realizing.
Tumblr media
Weather even almost kills Pucci himself, before being interrupted by Jolyne and Hermes.
Weather’s stand is also the one to eventually defeat Pucci, after he accidentally inserts the stand disc into Emporio, which makes for a fitting stand to be the one to kill Pucci. I used to think it was kind of stupid that Emporio (an eleven year old child) was the one to eventually defeat the main villain, in the end. But then, I realized that it really wasn’t him doing it- he even states himself that the stand was acting on its own. It was really Weather doing the killing; Emporio was just the vector for it to be able to function.
There’s also the song Virtual Insanity by Jamiroquai, which most people just recognize as the song that Weather Report’s hat is referencing. however, I believe that this is also vaguely referencing Weather and Pucci’s relationship, as well.
“It's a wonder men can eat at all When things are big that should be small Who can tell what magic spells we'll be doing for us And I'm giving all my love to this world”
I think this is referring to Heavy Weather’s ability, and that humans are being turned into giant snails- things that are big, but should be small.
“And now that things are changing for the worse See, its a crazy world we're living in And I just can't see that half of us immersed in sin Is all we have to give these”
I think that the lyric “Half of us immersed in sin” is referring to Pucci. He and Weather are twins, and Pucci is the one “immersed in sin”. The word “sin” also has religious connotations, which would make the fact that the priest is the one immersed in sin extra hypocritical.
“And I'm thinking what a mess we're in Hard to know where to begin If I could slip the sickly ties that earthly man has made And now every mother, can choose the colour Of her child That's not nature's way”
I think that this is referring to Pucci and Weather’s backstory. The mother that experienced a stillbirth stole Weather Report instead, which isn’t “nature’s way”.
Now, here’s the thing. I get that Weather called Pucci “the worst kind of evil there is”, but honestly? I think Pucci is easily the least evil jojo villain, by far.
Most of the arguments I’ve seen against this is based off of misconceptions surrounding how Made in Heaven works, so I also want to talk about that in the next section. But first, I want to discuss Pucci’s backstory.
Third: Pucci’s backstory (and why he’s such a tragic character)
Pucci’s backstory does a very good job of explaining how he got his current beliefs about morality and the world today. Unfortunately, it has also sparked a lot of debate in the jojo fandom regarding a pretty sensitive topic- I want to touch on that in this section as well (It’s not really related to why Pucci is underrated, per se, but I still want to talk about it, as it’s been on my mind for a while.)
So, Pucci’s backstory begins with him and Weather report being born as fraternal twins. However, a mother who experienced a stillbirth stole Weather and replaced him with her dead baby, so she could still raise a child of her own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It skips to the time when Pucci is fifteen years old, and has his first encounter with DIO in church after it has closed. DIO explains how he has been searching for encounters to recruit people, and gives Pucci a Stand arrow before leaving.
A little while later, we see Pucci cleaning the church, and the mother who stole Weather Report comes up to him. She is crying, and confesses to Pucci that she stole the baby from a random family- without realizing that Pucci is a member of said family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pucci keeps this a secret for two months, up until his sister, Perla, and Weather Report start dating- without them realizing that they are brother and sister. Pucci, who is horrified at this, wants to tell them the truth, but if he did, he would be excommunicated from the church, as he would be revealing the confessions of a sinner. Trying to avoid hurting his sister, he tries to hire a shady man to force Perla and Weather Report to break up with each other.
Tumblr media
The man, after doing some research on Weather, discovers that the woman who stole him (which he assumes to be Weather’s biological mother) married a black man in 1972. He, as an extremely racist person that is associated with lots of members of the KKK (something that Pucci didn’t know about), hates interracial couples and calls the KKK to murder Weather. This causes Perla to kill herself out of grief, without realizing that Weather was still alive.
Tumblr media
After discovering Perla’s dead body, Pucci ends up being pierced with the stand arrow he’d kept in his pocket ever since it was given to him by DIO, and he unlocks his stand, consequentially also activating Weather’s stand.
Weather and Pucci eventually confront each other, which ends up with Pucci stealing Weather’s memory disc.
Tumblr media
This ends Pucci and Weather’s backstory.
Now, while a lot of the things that occur in it make me deeply uncomfortable, I do think this is a good backstory that perfectly explains Pucci and how he came to worship DIO and develop his belief system.
DIO appeared to Pucci as a strange, anomalous encounter. He stated that he was “allergic to sunlight”, gave him a seemingly random object, talked about some weird shit related to gravity, healed his twisted foot, and then left. I think ever since this encounter, Pucci’s subconscious then viewed DIO as his interpretation of God. When he was at the lowest point of his life, a vision of DIO came to him in his mind, and he felt the urge to meet him again. This is what caused Pucci and DIO’s bond to form, and how he became such a trusted confidant in DIO’s army.
It also explains Pucci’s motivations. The world in his ideal view of “heaven” is one where everybody is subconsciously aware of their fate at all times, as seen in the Pucciverse.
It makes perfect sense that he would view this as “heaven”. Fate has completely screwed him over, in more ways than one, and it was all completely unexpected to him. Everything about the tragedy of his backstory fell into place so meticulously, it’s only natural that Pucci would believe in destiny and think that it was up to fate for his sister to be killed that way. So, he came to believe that the best way to live life would be to be aware of your future at all times, and be completely prepared for everything that is to come your way.
However... this backstory also did something else- bring the subject of Pucci’s actual race into question. a lot of people have argued about it, and it’s become a very sensitive topic to discuss. (To be honest, even I’m kind of nervous to be talking about it, but here goes nothing.)
~~~~~ (this is sort of a tangent, so you can skip it if you like. I added tildes to where the tangent starts and then where it ends.)
So, in the vast majority of media such as the colored manga, all of Pucci’s figures, and in video games he’s featured in such as Eyes of Heaven and All Star Battle, Pucci is obviously being portrayed as dark-skinned. However, many people have pointed out that if Pucci was black, his backstory would be... very strange. There are two main things here:
1. If Pucci is black, then why would the rest of his family appear to be white? 2. If Pucci is black, why didn’t the KKK target him?
Now, a lot of people have come to the conclusion that Pucci isn’t black, with the reasoning for his obviously dark skin being that “he’s just tan”. However, I really do not think that is a valid explanation. You really can’t argue “just a tan” with Pucci; it’s very clear to me that he’s being portrayed as black here.
Tumblr media
 I don’t think it’s possible for a 100% white person to be as dark as Pucci is. Besides, we see Pucci as a newborn and a small child, and he still has the same skin color, which wouldn’t make sense if he was simply “tan”.
 You could also argue that since the colored manga, figures, video games, etc. weren’t made by Araki, you can’t use them as an example- but at the same time, don’t you think Araki would’ve said something by now if he had a problem with his character being universally portrayed this way? And, even in most of his own drawings and the black and white manga, Pucci is still clearly shaded darker than the other characters.
So instead, here’s an explanation for how Pucci can still be black and have his backstory make sense.
First off, he can be visibly dark, but have the rest of his family be white passing while not actually being fully white. Weather and Perla appearing lighter than Pucci can make sense when you consider there have been documents of children from interracial couples being different skin tones. His parents can also be nonwhite, but white passing, and Pucci is just the only one we see in his family who isn’t white passing due to genetics passed down from his grandparents or other family members. (Either that, or the dad could just not be the biological father. I mean, we have no evidence that isn’t the case.)
Second off, the reason why the KKK didn’t target Pucci- I think it’s important to note that it isn’t the entire KKK who knew about Pucci, it was just the one man he hired to break up Perla and Weather. It was never stated that the man was a member of the KKK, just that he was “friends” with a lot of them, so his racism could be different than simply hating everyone who isn’t white; he seemed much more concerned about the potential “race mixing” between Weather and Perla. Remember, he didn’t bother looking into Pucci’s family, so he could’ve just assumed that Perla is white, as she is white-passing (and was unaware that she is related to Pucci) and Weather isn’t. He could’ve ignored Pucci for this reason, as Pucci is not only single, he is a Christian and is actively paying him to break up what he perceived to be a mixed race couple. I’ve known people who are *incredibly* racist, but have a certain level of tolerance towards nonwhite people, as long as they don’t try to date someone of a different race than them. This is an absolutely disgusting belief regardless, but it would explain why the man ignored Pucci but went after Weather for dating Perla.
~~~~~
Okay, phew... I got that out of my system. But yeah, that’s why I think that Pucci can still logically be black in-universe. (well, mixed is more correct. Pucci is actually mixed, so he’s both black and white.)
Now, onto why Pucci is the least evil JoJo villain and how his character is so tragic to me.
Pucci, I think, is the only Jojo villain who genuinely wanted the best for humanity. His goal was to recreate the Universe into his ideal version of “Heaven”, where everybody is aware of their fate so they won’t have to suffer or try to resist as much. This being “heaven” makes a lot of sense to a person like Pucci. After all, it would’ve saved his family a lot of trouble. He wanted everyone in humanity to know their fate, so they wouldn’t have to suffer like he did. That’s a goal with inherently good intentions- the problem comes with that the heaven plan is a terrible idea born from one of the most evil people in Jojo, that Pucci has become misguided and corrupted by.
If Pucci had never met DIO, I believe that he could’ve been a genuinely good person. He started off as an innocent future priest who just wanted to serve God and help the rest of humanity. But, ever since he met DIO, he became a fanatic dedicated to serving him. Since then, his morals became twisted without him even realizing- he became willing to murder for DIO’s cause.
Tumblr media
His stand started off as something that could take away painful memories and destructive powers, as he first uses it to weaken Weather’s dangerous ability and take away his memories, to prevent him from hurting himself and Pucci (Weather became extremely vengeful and suicidal after the events of his backstory- you could argue that Pucci believed that he was doing Weather a service by removing his memories. He even put Weather in the prison with the hopes of potentially being able to “save” his brother later). But eventually, Whitesnake became something more twisted, as Pucci began using it to control people and deceive them.
So, what did Pucci end up doing, in the end? He killed/attempted to kill anyone who got in his way, manipulated several people, supported DIO (albeit due to heavy manipulation on DIO’s part since Pucci was a gullible kid), and reset the Universe.
Now, a lot of people have taken Pucci resetting the universe to meaning that he killed every organism and recreated them, but this is untrue. The Made in Heaven universal reset doesn’t directly harm any living beings- only the ones that Pucci directly killed weren’t able to move on to the new world. If the reset killed everyone, then Emporio wouldn’t have been able to move on from the old Universe, as he would’ve been reborn as a counterpart to himself with no memories of Pucci. it is also directly stated that “only the living can move on to the new world”. So... No, Pucci did not commit mass genocide.
Pucci still isn’t a good person by any means. However, when you compare his actions and motivations to the other villains, his crimes are honestly significantly less bad by comparison.
Dio: murdered countless people, was stated to be literally born evil, has committed rape and sexual assault several times, and wanted to rule the world for his own selfish gain.
Kars: Genocided his entire race over a disagreement.
Kira: murdered over 48 innocent women for sexual desire. So, his crimes double as murder and rape.
Diavolo: sold drugs to children, tried to murder his own daughter and burned down his entire hometown. He also killed his mother and the priest that adopted him.
I can’t really call Pucci “evil”. He’s not a good person by any means, but he’s not pure evil, really. He’s an individual who wanted the best for humanity, and thought he was doing the right thing. However, he was willing to lie, manipulate, and kill to achieve his goal, and became corrupted by other people much worse than him.
And that’s why I think Pucci is such a tragic character- his life was full of almost nothing but misery, and he ended up taking a very dark path towards evil. Then, he dies a brutal, horrible, painful death at the hands of his twin brother’s stand, and gets erased from reality entirely.
Tumblr media
Jesus Christ, you can see his eyes pop out of his face
You see my point, here? Wouldn’t it be miserable as hell to live a life like Pucci’s? It almost plays out like a Shakespearian tragedy (well, a very jojo-ified Shakespearian tragedy, but you get my point.)
Pucci is a person who I think really deserved better. Maybe he could’ve turned out a much different person than he ended up being. He had the potential to be a genuinely good person, but thanks to DIO and other circumstances that couldn’t have blame pinned onto anyone, he wasn’t.
That’s a big reason why I like him as a character, and why I find the portrayal of him in the fanbase to be so inaccurate. I feel like a lot of people hate him because of all of the people he killed, which I find to be a shame, because they ignore everything else about him. (All of the people he killed came back to life, too, anyways.) I’ve seen people who genuinely believe that Pucci deserved infinite death alongside Diavolo, which I really do not understand.
So, to sum it up: I really like Pucci. I love his personality, how he recontextualizes the events of Stardust Crusaders, his relationships with the other characters, his backstory, his stands, and the tragedy of his character. I really hope people begin to appreciate him more eventually.
people who say that david productions should skip animating part 6 are being stupid

Fuck it.
JoJo Actors AU headcanons:
-Half of the actors are fans of the series and most of them are starting to become fans of it.
-Jotaro’s actor is literally Daisuke Ono but muscled and 6’5.
-The Josephs and a lot of the part 2 cast are related to each other or to other actors, Part 2 Joseph is the son of Part 3 Joseph who is the son of Part 4 Joseph. The family resemblance is uncanny. Suzi Q is played by Joseph’s girlfriend. Lisa Lisa is Straizo’s sister, Old!Erina is played by Part 4 Joseph’s wife,Loggins and Messina are brothers, Smokey is Avdol’s younger brother,Kars is Yukako’s dad,and Stroheim is Suzi’s uncle.
-Phantom Blood took 2 weeks to finish, Battle Tendency took 3,Stardust Crusaders took 4 and a half months,Diamond is Unbreakable took 5 months, and Vento Aureo took 2 months.
-The scene of Danny burning was filmed but cut due to the cast members and staff voicing their discomfort about the scene. (“I didn’t want to see a dog jump out of a furnance like, melting and on fire. I think nobody else wanted to see it so it was cut from the final product.”-Dio)
-Jonathan,Speedwagon,and William are best buddies and often drink together in-between takes.
-Dio,Jonathan,Jotaro,Kakyoin,Kars,Trish,Tomoko,and Formaggio are fans of the series from the start and are Ecstatic about being actors in it. (“I swear when my mum told me that there were open auditions for the role of JoJo i KNEW i had to be a part of it, i think i squeed at like 4 in the morning. I wanted to play Jotaro cause i thought that was the part they were going to do first cause that’s the most popular part. If i wasn’t a JoJo i was like ‘then i’m going to be a Stand!’. And then when they announced they were doing it in order i’m like, ‘i’m going to be Jonathan’, and that’s how i got in the part.”-Jonathan) (“I‘m still waiting for JoJolion to end.”-Kakyoin) (“When they approached me about the project i was like ‘oh my god yes!’ and i’m just sitting there in my chair eating my soggy chips screaming inside.”-Dio)
-Speedwagon has appeared in all the filming sessions to gives moral support and acting tips.
-Jorge and Giorno played 12 year old Jonathan and Dio. Jorge wore a wig.
-Jonathan’s actor has a twitter and often posts about the series as well behind the scenes photos.
-Melone’s actor hated playing Melone for obvious reasons and said the only reason he played him was because his friend (Who plays Proscuitto) coaxed him into doing it.
-Josuke is also the Tom Holland of it, meaning he accidentally says spoilers.
-Jonathan and Erina married on set in-character during the filming of Part 4, they engaged during the filming of Part 2. Nobody told Josuke about it. (“When Josiah and Eleanor married on set and in character i was SO confused cause nobody didn’t tell me Anything about it and then i thought it was like a added scene as like uh, a flashback. Then when it was done Daisuke told me ‘yo they’re married now.’ and i’m like *mind blown motion*.”-Josuke)
-Diavolo is literally the sweetest person on set and apologises to The Bucci gang after every Doppio and Diavolo encounter.
-Part 2 Speedwagon is just regular Speedwagon but in old makeup, He was sad that he had to cut off nearly all his hair.
-La Squadra and the Bucci Gang are friends IRL because they keep seeing each other in each others work.
-Phantom Blood movie!Jonathan is played by Diavolo.
-Most of the british cast of Part 1-2 are actually british, except George who was american and Bluford who was irish.
-The movie and OVAs were not filmed by the company that did the official one. Worthy of note is that Star Platinum played OVA Jotaro and
-The scene that took the most takes was the Torture dance. Narancia got sea sick after filming it.
-Arnold,Danny,and Coco Jumbo are the only real animals on set. Polnareff!Coco Jumbo is a prop.
-Polnareff’s pillar hair is actually made up of hair extensions+his real hair. A lot of character’s hair are wigs. Kakyoin’s noodle is natural.
-The rock in Phantom Blood and Rolling Stones are the same prop.
-Every April fools, the cast are given ‘Duwang’ versions of their scripts. Only Dio was able to rehearse them with a straight face cause he was too into it (Duwang 1-3 were made by the writers).
-The Part 3 cast actually had to go to the desert AND Egypt for the filming of the Egypt arc. Jotaro and Polnareff got sunburned badly when they got to the town.
-Koichi played child Polnareff and Jolyne played child Jotaro.
-“GOOD EVENING JOEY JO-JO!” “(chuckles) i’m soRRY I CAN’T DO THIS! (Breaks into a laughing fit)”
-There’s a tradition that the actors and only the actors do after they finish a part, they go into the costume and prop room and steal and keep one item relating to the character they play.
-Stolen items: Luck and Pluck,Dio greenscreen head prop,Erina’s necklace,Speedwagon’s bowler hat,Zeppeli’s hat,Joseph’s clackers,Caesar’s headband,Lisa Lisa’s glasses,Smokey’s hat,Kar’s head scarf,Whammu’s earings,Esidisi’s brain prop,Suzi’s dress,All of Jotaro’s hats,Hermit Purple,Kakyoin’s scarf,Polnareff’s earrings,Avdol’s scarf,Emperor prop,DIO’s pants,Thoth prop,Oingo’s hat,Anubis prop,Vanilla Ice’s belt,Josuke’s pins,Echoes ACT 1 prop,Okuyasu’s uniform,Josuke’s console,Yukako’s uniform,Book Terunosuke,Sheer Hear Attack prop,Stray Cat prop,Dark Pink Boy manga prop,Surface prop,Frog prop,Diavolo’s contact lenses,Mista’s Revolver,Aerosmith prop,White Album helmet,Beach Boys prop,Purple Haze’s gloves,Coco Jumbo prop (Mr. President included),Stand Arrow,Frog phone,Bruno’s jacket,The piss teacup.

okay so i’ll refine this later (ie add sources and such) with my video essay/essay post whatever it ends up being but let me say this now i think the lover’s arc is like the foundation of the bond kakyoin and jotaro had and here is why
jotaro is a character KNOWN for his independence streak araki himself says jotaro is very much a lone wolf kinda character. he hates relying on others he hates not being able to cover all of his own bases he hates being vulnerable and not being in control
but in the lover’s arc, that’s exactly what happens. he isn’t in control and he can’t get back into control using his usual methods (ie attack the stressor until they tap out or die). jotaro has no plan and he’s scared, he is literally shaking in the anime and manga, and he’s so angry because he’s never been in this kind of position before
but then kakyoin takes the lead, kakyoin runs with joseph and eventually polnareff gets up on the uptake and follows, and the last thing kakyoin tells jotaro before turning the corner is just to basically distract steely dan -- make sure he doesnt cause joseph even more pain
and suddenly jotaro is able to swallow the humilation and fear and anger of the situation he’s in. why? because he trusts kakyoin. he trusts kakyoin to care of his grandfather. i could definitely be wrong, but i do not remember another instance in which jotaro trusted a loved one to someone else completely, with him not even being around to supervise in case something goes wrong (except for maybe jolyne’s mom with, well, jolyne, but he does give her the stand arrow piece to use if necessary which might undermine that trust depending on the interpretation). he’s able to relax and stop shaking because he knows joseph is in good hands. capable hands. hands that arent his, but reliable all the same.
and not only that, jotaro trusts kakyoin to save he himself as well. he knows steely dan is going to attack him, especially when the lovers gets kicked out of joseph and he’s free to go fucking ham on steely dan, he knows steely dan will do anything, no matter how slimy, to get out of the situation once it goes south, including and not limited to killing jotaro. but jotaro trusts kakyoin to save him should that happen -- and kakyoin does. hierophant is looped around the lovers the whole time and stops steely dan from stabbing jotaro/hurting the little girl. jotaro’s been saved by other people before/will be saved by other people, but he was just so confident in kakyoin’s ability. he never doubted for a second kakyoin’s ability to not only keep his loved ones safe, but keep he himself safe as well. jotaro, a character trademarked by his independence and aloofness, trusted and relied on kakyoin in this instance and kakyoin delivered. just. do you understand why this is so integral so their relationship and friendship
kakyoin is one of the only people jotaro could trust this way if not the ONLY person he ever trusted this way, and kakyoin, a character who appreciates being seen as useful and reliable, knows this and delivers and it jsut. man i jsut. they cared about each other so much. jotaro was willing to let go and put himself and joseph in kakyoin’s hands, and kakyoin was more than happy to catch him (metaphorically) and make sure that trust was justified. just. do you understnad now. do you understand
anyway lovers arc does more for jotakak than any other arc in the show despite them not even being near each other for the duration of it and it drives me fucking insane you guys

This is a WIP of a JJBA opening parody, the first opening Sono chi no Sadame to be exact. The characters are from my Rewrite AU fic called An Alternate Alien Fantasy Adventure: RWBY. Link to the fic: Deviantart FFN AO3
In this Rewrite AU, I plan on writing a different protagonist every new volume. To mimic the Jojo opening where the flash goes from Jolyne back to the beginning with Jonathan, here we have the comic flash of Volume 6 back to the beginning of Volume 1 (there may be more than 6 volumes though, not really sure). - Volume 6 protagonist: Weiss Schnee, who is now a human Grimm, a Vampyr. She has long outlived all of team RWBY, tortured by her thirst for blood and all that she has lost over all those years. Her Myrtenaster gives her the Ability to use Glyphs, which she can attach herself onto any surface, including the bizarre ability to travel between reflections on mirrors. Since she is a Grimm however (Grimm in this AU are allergic to all types of Dust except for Ice) she cannot use Myrtenaster most of the time. There are pills she takes to reduce the effects of the Grimm DNA. - Volume 5 protagonist: Krym Sunny Rose - daughter of Ruby Rose and Oscar Pines. Her color scheme I plan to have as both a combination of Ruby's red and Oscar's green, wearing a red scarf as a reference to Ruby's red hood. She has a little Robin Hood theme going on. Her weapon is a minigun crossbow hybrid. I'm honestly still brainstorming her Ability and her region in the story. But the main thing I have down right now is her meeting up with Roman's child, the archenemy of her mother Ruby Rose. - Volume 4 protagonist: Sun Wukong. He and Neptune are trying to win the annual Vacuo scorpion race. It's the race of the century, with lots of Deathstalker this time of year. - Volume 3 protagonist: Winter Schnee - here we see her charging at Adam Taurus, the main villain of the volume in Atlas. - Volume 2 protagonist: Jaune Arc, a young Mistralian boy who isn't the strongest Huntsman in the world. But he is rather skilled in strategies and combat tactics. His weapon Crocea Mors is an heirloom past down by the Arc bloodline. It is unique to the Arc blood, and only reacts and recognizes one with that specific set of DNA. Jaune quickly runs into a problem when he realizes that he can't for the life of him pull the sword out of the shield, thus cannot use the weapon's Ability. This volume, Jaune must find the resolve to defeat the main villain - Queen of Mistral, Cinder Fall. - Volume 1 protagonist: Ruby Rose. A young starry eyed Huntress who aims to catch Vale's biggest crime lord Roman Torchwick and bring his entire crime family down. She quickly learns that Roman is cold, calculating, and incredibly slippery. Roman possesses a secret weapon Ability that he claims make him invincible. Team RWBY must uncover this secret. Her weapon is Crescent Rose, and it gives her the Ability of great speed, allowing her to ride Crescent Rose around like some kind of motorcycle, even letting her go up walls if she travels fast enough.

I have some Jojo aus I’d really like to work on but I’m too busy or too lazy to do it so I’m just gonna dump them here (My English is terrible so please be nice asdfasdf)
Passione Dance Academy AU (Gionara) (All of them are two years older than they are in canon)
Note: I know nothing how dance academies work and I gotta learn before I write this but here’s what I got so far
Bruno and Abbacchio are teachers, Bruno teaches breakdance/hip hop and Abbacchio teaches ballet, they’re roommates, they’re not together as a couple yet but it’s mostly because Abba is a dumbass
Narancia lives with his uncle Formaggio (yes, uncle), they started to live together after Narancia’s mother died and his father neglected him, they don’t hate each other but Formaggio doesn’t really stay at home enough time to bond with Narancia, they also have like 5 cats
Fugo lives with Bruno and Abbacchio after his parents threw him away, but surprise! Fugo’s grandma is alive and well and she sends him cash for stuff he needs, she also visits him every now and then so his family won’t find out
Mista lives alone in a tiny apartment, he befriended the family of 6 mice that live in the air vent
Trish is the daughter of the headmaster Diavolo, they don’t really bond too much and mostly spends her time with her uncle Vinnegar
Giorno was adopted by Jonathan and Erina when he was 8 after Dio disappeared, he has a decent relationship with them and the rest of the Joestar but addresses Jonathan and Erina as his uncle and aunt rather and not as his parents (This will change as the story progresses)
Mista, Fugo, and Narancia study with Bruno while Giorno and Trish study with Abbacchio
I’m not really sure how the story would go because I want drama and romance and goofiness in it, I just know the three nerds saw Giorno and Trish in a performance made by the school, they don’t really talk to each other until one day after classes the three nerds see Trish throwing hands with a dumbass (she was winning) and they go help her to take him down, she’s still a bit shaken after it so they ask her if she wants company till her uncle comes and gets her, that’s how their friendship starts, she mostly visits him in their classroom because her classes finish first, she knew Bruno because he visits her ballet classes to see Abbachio so he lets her stay and see the class, but one day she has to stay late fo rehearse some things with her classmates so the three nerds go to her class instead, that’s when they meet Giorno (Fugo already knew him, he also knew Trish too but only from sight cause they used to attend the same school), Narancia already thought Giorno’s perfomance was good in that show the school had but seeing it closer he thought it was the most beautiful thing he could’ve seen, thus start Narancia’s crush on Giorno and the shenanigans of a bunch of friends who love to dance
Also, I might involve mafia things in here too but I’m not sure yet asdasdfa
Reimi survived Kira’s attack AU
Everything is the same AU except Reimi never died
She was attacked by Kira, yes, but she and Rohan managed to survive, she has ugly scars in her back but that’s only it
Arnold also survives but he dies of old age
They never got to see Kira’s face, after leaving the hospital they stayed in Morioh for a couple of years and so, she still was Rohan’s babysitter, also baby Rohan considered Reimi his hero
Reimi still was a nervous wreck after the attack, so her parents decided to move from Morioh, it made baby Rohan sad but she and Reimi became pen pals for a while until their lifestyles started to take away their time to write cards
Reimi’s will to survive and strength to continue with her life after the attack gave her a stand, I still don’t have a name for it but it works like the cursed alley of Morioh, if Reimi is standing in a closed space/hallway she can activate her stand and drag someone’s soul to wherever the cursed hallway sends them
She became a private investigator and helped to solve a lot of cases, she also became some sort of vigilante, saving people with her stand
Years later she got a card from Rohan, where he told her he was moving to Morioh and would like to catch up with her, Reimi is happy to hear about her old friend, but also worried, because of all the disappearances in Morioh, she believes it might be connected to the one who attacked her when she was younger, so she takes this as an excuse to not only visit Rohan but to find out the truth about all the disappearances
She appears a bit after Rohan is introduced, I don’t know, I just like the idea of Rohan having an actual person he cares about, she’s like a big sister figure to him and everyone is super confused, Rohan is supposed to hate everyone and everything, seeing him getting along with a nice and gentle woman is so weird and confusing. I also like the idea of Reimi being super disappointed on him for treating everyone in Morioh the way he does. Rohan also never uses Heaven’s door on Reimi, not only due to respect to her (and because it gives them time to sit down and talk) but because he believes she knows nothing about stands, Reimi also doesn’t know everyone else has stands but she eventually finds out before Rohan can even tell her lol, also everyone else in Morioh never tells her Rohan also has a stand
The arc with Cheap Trick happens like it does but Reimi helps Rohan, finally revealing her stand to him (Rohan: You had a stand this whole time?! | Koichi: Wait, you didn’t know? | Rohan: DID YOU TELL KOICHI FIRST AND NOT ME?! | Reimi: Actually uh, everyone else knows about it | Rohan: *BETRAYED GASP*) Reimi also reveals her true intention for coming back to Morioh, so she finally informs the gang about the things she had been investigating
Touhou AU
Everyone has cute puffy dresses, Idk I just wanna draw the Jojo characters with Touhou aesthetics and all that jazz
Giorno is helped by a small kid the same way he helped that gangster when he was younger AU  (All of them are seven years older than they are in canon) (I’m tempted to make it Gionara but I’m not really sure)
I’m not sure how it happens yet, but it happens, except Giorno is more present in that kid’s life and in the end he adopts the kid and everyone loves the small child *cries*
The entire Stone Ocean Story except Annasui is a woman and is actually nicer AU
Let’s call her Anne Sue to not make it too complicated
She ended up in jail after killing her ex-boyfriend, it was in self-defense but she panicked and ended up stabbing him more than she originally intended to, the jury ended up sending her to jail because of it
She and Jolyne don’t get along at first but after defeating their first enemy together they become friends, and as the story progresses they fall in love
She’s actually nicer and not creep like Annasui, she and F.F. become besties, Weather and her are like siblings, she also gets along with Hermes but there’s some rivalry between them after they both ended up in a tie after a competition of who can eat more chillis
She can be a bit bad tempered, especially when a situation becomes more and more stressful, but she’s usually good at keeping herself focused until whatever was going on is done
She likes to dismantle things too
She panics when she meets Jotaro and blurts out “Please let me marry your daughter!” Then regrets it because she never properly confessed to Jolyne before lmao
Jojo Macross AU (SheiTrish) (All of them are three years older than they are in canon)
I,,,,,,,,, Really love Macross Frontier,,,,,,
Trish is a famous Pop Star known across the entire universe, her stage name is “Mafia Queen” or something like that, her aesthetic changes a lot
Sheila E. is a pilot in training along Fugo, Mista and Narancia, they took the job to be in Trish’s concert so they can fly around and do some air acrobatics
Pericolo is Trish’s manager and he wants Trish to interact with more people her age in a normal way so he asks Sheila E. and the three nerds to hang out with Trish
Everything is a mess, not only the guys managed to embarrass themselves in front of Trish, they kinda made her uncomfortable, so Sheila (who hasn’t spoken too much from the beginning) ask Trish if she wanna go somewhere else without the nerds, Trish accepts and so they leave them behind
Sheila sends them a text later so they won’t worry (Also because she needs the job and doesn’t want Pericolo to think she kidnapped Trish)
The girls have fun and that's how the story starts
I still don’t have much on this one, except later in the story they find out Trish’s voice has the same power Ranka’s voice had and she ends up helping the pilots in order to defeat the [Enemy Alien space of turn]

Stands are weird and so are the users
fandom: jjba
summary:  In which Jotaro tries to bond with the Morioh boys by teaching them a thing or two about stands. And star platinum bonds with Crazy D a bit
Also on AO3
notes: This is my first time writing Jojo so sorry if it's a bit OOC. this is just fluff and rambles. beware a bit of language and a mention of Jotaro having PTSD (my forever headcanon)but enjoy!theres this small part with star and its based off a drawing by lintufriiki <3 the way they draw star platinum is amazing and i couldnt help but add that little bit
Star Platinum was a terrifying Stand. Josuke was well aware of this.
It wasn’t just the fact he could stop time. His punches were rapid fire, strong enough that when his fist connected to someone’s face, it sounded like a shotgun going off. According to the few details Josuke has managed to annoy out of Jotaro about his adventures in Egypt, (seriously, Jotaro was so tight lipped about it, what the hell even happened) he knew he had yet to see Star go all out.
Which was a bit scary if he thought about it, since everyone Jotaro faced (especially a certain serial killer with a hand fetish who shall not be named because he still had nightmares about it) always looked like mush whenever he was done with them.
So yes, Star Platinum was terrifying. Josuke was glad he was never on the receiving end of that power.
Don’t get him wrong, Crazy Diamond was great. He was just as strong, able to fix almost anything, and just an all around cool Stand. Josuke would be dead ten times over if his Stand wasn’t so great.
But with Crazy Diamond standing in front of Star Platinum, the difference was obvious.
Crazy D was taller than Josuke, and more built. He wasn’t as tall or wide as his older nephew (which…it was still bizarre to call Jotaro that), but Josuke doubted there were many people who would outgrow the 195cm man, who insisted he lost some muscle due to not getting into as many fights in the past 10 years to focus on getting his PhD. Josuke could only hope he would reach that height and that physique.
Star Platinum was the exception to those thoughts. Even with his feet firmly on the ground, Star was a few heads taller than Jotaro, much wider at the shoulders and much more muscular. One of his arms was the equivalent of Jotaro’s leg, and Josuke knew for a fact it could break bones easily. If Josuke and Jotaro went all out against each other, Josuke knew it would take him everything he had to take his nephew down.
And with Star Platinum grinning down at Crazy Diamond like he was a mouse caught in a lion's den, he was on edge, which seemed to transfer into his Stand as Crazy D glared at Star, body tense.
“He’s not going to attack.”
Jotaro’s deep rumble snapped him out of his unease, sparing a glance to his nephew (seriously that was weird). Jotaro continued speaking, only looking slightly annoyed.
“He may be a pretty violent Stand, but he’s always been reliable. He won’t attack unless you try to attack me first. And even then I doubt he’d seriously hurt you unless you seriously piss me off.”
“S-so uh,” it was Okuyasu this time who interrupted, looking a bit confused where he sat in his chair, rubbing the back of his neck. They were all at Josuke’s place, sitting in his kitchen. Tomoko was out at work, so they had the place to themselves for a while. “So…why did you ask us all to come here? I know I’m not really smart, but Koichi doesn’t know either so I thought I’d ask.”
Koichi nodded besides him., “Y-you said something about helping us controlling our Stands, right?”
Jotaro nodded, and as Josuke lowered his guard just a bit, Crazy Diamond relaxed as well.
“Yes. Do you remember what I told you when we first met, Josuke?”
“Besides that punch to the face?” Josuke answered, and when Jotaro continued to stare unimpressed, Josuke tried to remember what happened what felt like a lifetime ago. “Uh, something about Stands being energy?”
Josuke could see it was taking everything in Jotaro not to roll his eyes at him.
“Good grief. Close enough. I don’t know much about them myself, but I figured telling you what I know can help you guys understand. They’re a physical manifestation of your psychological energy.”
Okuyasu opened his mouth.
“Basically, if you have a strong will, you’ll have a strong stand.” Jotaro explained without missing a beat.
Okuyasu closed his mouth and continued listening.
“Stands can only be seen by other Stand users, and you all seem adept at calling forth and using your Stands already.”
“Yeah, I usually just have to either feel like I need to defend or that I want to kick someone’s ass and…” Josuke trailed off as he willed Crazy D to return to him, then made him reappear.
“Yes, but there’s one other thing I want you to be aware of,” Jotaro said, tipping his head so the brim of his hat covered his eyes. “You guys know that DIO stole the body of my great-great grandfather, Josuke’s great grandfather, before he acquired his Stand, right?” When silence was his answer, all eyes staring at him intently, Jotaro continued. They all knew Dio was a sore subject for him and always hung onto every word he said about his time in Egypt. “I believe the old lady he was with, Enya, used the bow and arrow on him to give him the power of a Stand. As a result, Joseph, Josuke and I all developed our own Stands.”
“Enya...that’s the old hag my big bro stole the bow and arrow from, right?” Okuyasu asked, an unreadable look in his eye. Jotaro simply nodded.
“Wait a minute,” Okuyasu continued. “If you guys got your Stands from DIO, how come Keicho had to shoot me with the bow and arrow so I could get mine?”
There was an uncomfortable pause, Jotaro and Josuke both hiding their eyes behind cap and hair respectively as they chose their words carefully. Koichi looked between them, slightly uncomfortable with where this conversation was heading.
Josuke had told Jotaro enough about Okuyasu’s past for him to understand why Okuyasu’s older brother, Keicho, had the bow and arrow in the first place. If Jotaro was one thing, it was blunt. He wasn’t good with delicate situations like this.
Luckily for him, Josuke seemed adept at dealing with his friend’s trauma.
“I think it’s just a Joestar thing, Oku.” Josuke turned, pulling his collar down so Okuyasu could get a glimpse of the star-shaped birthmark where the left side of his shoulder and neck met. Jotaro felt his own birthmark tingle in response and had to resist the urge to cover it with his hand. Joestar blood truly was strong.
Josuke continued his explanation, “It’s like how my old man got Hamon from his grandfather. Or like how Stand users attract other Stand users.”
“Mr. Jotaro, you have a daughter don’t you? Does she have a Stand?” Koichi asked politely.
Jotaro paused. Jolyne getting involved in the dangers of being a Stand user was something he never wanted. She was still a toddler, but she was able to see Star Platinum clearly. Despite the fact that Star absolutely adored her, even more so that she could actually see him, it still kept him up at night. “...She’s still a child so I’m not sure. My mother however, had a Stand. She was too weak to maintain it so we defeated DIO in order to save her life. That was also around the time Josuke got sick with a fever. She can also see Star Platinum and Hermit Purple, the old man’s Stand.”
Seeing Okuyasu was as confused as ever, Josuke tried to steer the conversation back to topic, “You don’t have to worry about it, Okuyasu. It’s just a Joestar thing.”
When Okuyasu nodded and fell silent once again, Jotaro continued. “I’ve met people who were born with their Stands, and as a result their bond with them was almost flawless. I figured if we use our Stands in something that wasn’t battle, we could see for ourselves the type of personality they have and bond with them as well.”
“What? But Crazy D and I get along great,” Josuke protested, watching as his Stand continued to warily eye Star Platinum, who seemed to have gotten bored standing there and was now floating around the room in what Josuke almost thought was curiosity.
“I don’t know Josuke, your bond with your Stand seems a bit different than Echoes and I.” Koichi said, summoning his smaller Stand. Echoes automatically floated up to Star Platinum, who was holding a pan and inspecting it with a close eye. “I haven’t had Echoes for long but I guess we’re pretty close.”
Okuyasu summoned The Hand, squinting as he watched his expressionless Stand for a bit. “Are you sure Stands have a sort of personality of their own? The Hand has never really done anything on his own. Then again I probably haven’t figured it out since I’m not really that smart.”
“Shut up, you’re plenty smart,” Josuke responded fluidly. Jotaro guessed he had to say that a lot. Josuke watched as his Stand followed Star Platinum around, both of them curiously floating around the kitchen, though Crazy D had to stay within Josuke’s range, which was shorter than Jotaro and Star Platinum’s. That was another thing Josuke was a bit jealous about.
“And besides,” Josuke continued, leaning his elbow on the table and holding his head up in his hand. “I’ve had Crazy Diamond since I was a kid. I never met another Stand user until recently. So I don’t really know how any of this is supposed to work.”
“You said you met people who had their Stands since they were born, Mr. Jotaro?” Koichi asked kindly. Jotaro nodded. “How was their relationship different?”
Jotaro seemed to think for a second, fiddling with the bill of his cap.
“I guess they were just...closer. Both user and Stand had their own personality but was able to think in tandem like all other Stand users. It was...more of a partnership than controlling another being.”
Jotaro tried his best to explain it. But it was difficult to describe what it’s like to walk into the hotel rooms he shared with the other Crusaders and see Polnareff use Silver Chariot’s rapier to cut up fruit and use it like a fruit shish kabob. Or to constantly have Kakyoin use Hierophant Green to get things from across the room, often almost tripping Jotaro. Or even Abdul giving Magician’s red scratches under its beak. They all used their Stands so casually and it made Jotaro feel out of place, having just acquired his and still learning how to use it. Even Joseph used Hermit Purple for the most mundane things, but Jotaro always chalked it up to him being Joseph.
Granted, Jotaro’s bond with Star Platinum might have been a bit different. He was no Stand expert, and even before he knew what Star was, his Stand was always eager to please, extremely protective of his user, and made his own personality clear. Then again, this could have been a simple reflection of Jotaro’s own will, as most things with Star Platinum were.
During the two months he traveled to kill DIO and save his mother’s life, he had very little time to fully experiment with his Stand. He managed to figure out a few things about Star almost immediately though: Star was curious, Star was strong and enthusiastic during battle , and Star would do anything to protect his beloved master. Star absolutely adored Jotaro, that much was clear once he learned what his Stand was and stopped being weary of it. After all, how would he save his mom if he didn’t know anything about his own Stand?
Their bond simply became more apparent during their fight with DIO. After all, Star learned to stop time for him. It was an ability he hated, and who could blame him? He went through hell with DIO, he lost the only friends he knew, and even to this day, ten years later, he still had nightmares about it. Post Traumatic Stress, the Speedwagon Doctors had diagnosed him with it, and the ability itself was just a reminder of how fucked up his bloodline really was. But in the midst of all that, he couldn’t find it in his heart to blame Star. His Stand did, after all, save his life with it. He did it to protect him, and Jotaro was all the more grateful for it.
It was after those two months, during the final years of high school going on to college to pursue his career in marine biology that their bond simply clicked. While not having to fight made them both a bit weaker (although, he figured the fact he had Star stop and restart his heart had something to do with it), it was like meeting Star once again for the first time. He summoned himself whenever he felt his user needed assistance, was always there for a quick and precise fix, and even when Jotaro was just lounging about, Star would materialize next to him, floating in the air next to him or settled in such a way that he could curiously watch what his master was doing and communicate his thoughts to Jotaro via their mental and spiritual link.
To voice these intimate thoughts was something Jotaro wasn’t good at, so he simply sighed out a soft “good grief” before looking at Josuke, who had his Stand the longest.
“It already seems Echoes has a personality of his own, modeled after how Koichi has grown.”
“Of course I have,” Echoes replied in his mechanical voice. Jotaro spared the smaller Stand a glance as Echoes gave him a look Jotaro could have sworn was an eye roll before going back to watching what the other three Stands were messing with. Jotaro paid them no mind.
“Has Crazy Diamond done anything of his own accord?” Jotaro asked the younger Jojo.
Josuke thought for a second, watching as Crazy Diamond and Star Platinum silently communicated with each other, curiously getting into everything and anything they could. “Not really I mean...I’ve had him since I was a kid? So sometimes I can feel what he’s feeling or thinking. Like there are times I get hurt and I know he wants to heal me, though I know it won’t work. Or there’s times he’s reacted faster than I could and blocked a punch or stopped me from doing something dumb. Sometimes I don’t know if the anger I feel at a person is my own or his. But other than that he doesn’t really do anything?”
Jotaro paused for a second, before suggesting, “I know you have a close relationship with your Stand, but I think you mostly associate him with either fighting or fixing things, and put up a sort of mental wall between you two. Try reaching in and feeling what he feels, see what he sees.”
Josuke locked eyes with Crazy Diamond, who turned away from Star Platinum in favor of seeing if his user needed anything. Everyone seemed to paused as Crazy Diamond floated just a bit closer to Josuke, keeping their eyes locked.
Josuke tried to reach into the edges of his mind. He wasn’t exactly sure how to do this but now that Jotaro brought it up, he wanted to try, he wanted his Stand to know Josuke cared, and that he wanted to know his thoughts as he knew his user’s.
Come on, Crazy D, let me in, I trust you, don’t you trust me too? I want to share everything with you, not just physical pain, but whatever goes through your soul or whatever.
It took a few seconds, before Josuke felt something like a curtain being lifted from his mind and heart. And suddenly, he was getting feedback that wasn’t his own. It was a strange feeling, like he was aware it wasn’t him, but he felt it anyway, enough that he knew it was there, but not enough that he knew it didn’t belong to him, but his Stand.
And suddenly he was overwhelmed with adoration, a fierce protectiveness, loyalty, pride.
So this is what Crazy Diamond felt for him. It was overwhelming, to say the least.
Suddenly, he felt a slight tug, a sensation, and he knew his Stand wanted to hug him, but was afraid to step out of line. Josuke couldn’t help the goofy smile that spread across his face.
“You. You’re helpless. You don’t need to ask, you big corn-ball. Come here.”
The moment the words were out of his mouth, Crazy Diamond scooped him up easily and, careful not to mess up his beloved hair, hugged his user gently, enough so Josuke could feel the affection of the hug but not enough to accidentally hurt him. Josuke never really touched Crazy Diamond, and was pleasantly surprised at how warm and solid he felt for a being of mental and spiritual energy. The looped feedback he was getting, both from his side and Crazy Diamond’s was weird too, super intense, but it felt good to know just how cherished he was by his Stand. He knew he could always count on Crazy Diamond.
“You’re great, Crazy D.”
Their moment was ruined, however, when the sound of one of his mother’s favorite mugs shattering rang through the air.
Crazy Diamond set him down, turning back to Star Platinum with an exasperated expression.
Slight annoyance, admiration, the need to impress.
Well, at least Josuke knew his Stand felt the same way about Star, that Josuke felt often about Jotaro.
Star was looking at Jotaro guiltily, Tomoko’s cup on the floor in pieces. He looked so apologetic Josuke couldn’t find it in himself to be upset even if Crazy D couldn’t fix it. Jotaro just sighed, glancing at his Stand tiredly. They seemed to mentally speak for a moment before Star Platinum relaxed slightly, looking at Crazy D pleadingly. If he didn’t know the kind of power Star had, Josuke would think this was a completely different Stand to the one that Otoishi was so afraid of. And of course Jotaro would comfort his Stand silently, ever stoic on the outside.
“S.H.I.T” Echoes swore, looking down at the fallen pieces. Crazy D made his way over, and with a quick swipe of his hand, the cup reassembled. When Star made a motion to pick it up, the other Stand quickly snatched it from the floor and put it on the counter.
“Ora?” Star said pleadingly.
“DORA!” Crazy Diamond shook his head with a stern cry of his own, as if telling a child no.
Josuke could have sworn Star was pouting, but held back his laugh in fear that he would get punched.
A silent battle seemed to go between the Stands before eventually Star Platinum accepted defeat with a huff. How much Crazy D looked up to Star as a mentor surprised Josuke a bit, but then again, didn’t he feel just a bit pressured to be as cool as Jotaro?
“Dammit. I want to read my Stand too! But I can’t figure out how to do it.” Okuyasu whined, watching as the Hand slumped it’s shoulders in defeat.
“Your next line is, ‘maybe I’m just too dumb for this shit.’”
“Maybe I’m just too dumb for this shit- woah! How do you do that, dude?”
Jotaro promptly choked on his spit, pulling his hat low in order to recompose himself. Josuke was a lot more like Joseph than he gave him credit for.
Josuke shrugged, ignoring Jotaro’s strange reaction. “You’re not exactly hard to read, bro. It doesn’t mean you’re dumb it just means I know you well, dude. Besides, Jotaro and I have had our Stands for a while, you just need more practice.”
Okuyasu beamed brightly, smiling widely. Jotaro hid his own smile behind his hat. They truly were good kids.
Suddenly, the hat on his head was swiped off, and before he turned to yell at whoever took it, though he knew who was the culprit, he paused, hesitating as he watched his Stand place it atop his head. Star posed, flexing his muscles at he let out a strong “ORA!” As annoyed as he wanted to be, the pure happiness and admiration Star felt was enough to keep the complaint from passing his lips.
Josuke, Okuyasu and Koichi all laughed, and Jotaro felt his lips twitch despite how hard he was fighting it.
“You should have seen your face! You were so angry!” Josuke said between gasps of laughter. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without your hat.”
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen you without your hair up.” Jotaro shot back, stiffening as he realized he might have crossed hot water again. He felt Star tense but it was short lived as Josuke laughed again.
“Yeah, it’s terrible when it isn’t in my totally kewl style.”
Jotaro exhaled the tension from his body, as Star went back to being a pest with Crazy Diamond and Echoes, obviously trying to get some sort of reaction out of The Hand.
“Jotaro-san,” Koichi spoke up. “Can you tell us another story about Egypt? If it isn’t too uncomfortable for you.”
“Yeah! We want to know what it was like! Were the Stand users as tough as the ones we faced?” Okuyasu added.
“Good grief,” Jotaro mumbled, these kids often made him feel older than he really was.
“Guys, I’m curious too, but don’t pressure him into talking. He’ll talk if he wants to. That sort of thing...is kind of delicate.” Josuke interrupted. A look flashed in his eyes, a look Jotaro knew too well, because both himself and Joseph shared it.
Maybe the Joestar bloodline was just cursed.
With a heavy sigh, Jotaro crossed his legs, trying to think of something that didn’t really trigger him, that would be easy to talk about. Maybe talking about it in a good light, remembering the fun with the others instead of replaying his fight with DIO over and over will help with the nightmares. Eventually, he settled for one.
“Did I tell you guys about the time I scared this guy so badly when we were playing poker he passed out? Or the time I beat the shit out of my best friend before we actually became friends? Or the time one of them licked a toilet?”
Right away, the three high schoolers fixed their attention on him and Jotaro couldn’t help but feel at ease. Stands weren’t all bad. After all, without Star Platinum, he wouldn’t have this moment.

Thoughts on the “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure” English dub. Episode twenty six.
here we are at the end of all things
I appreciate that Kars is naked in this opening narration
“you dummy that’s lava!”
I just gotta hand it to Joseph
and now Kars legit looks like a Stand
I shall call this Drive
too bad it lasts for like a minute, but we are treated to lovely golden haired Kars
“HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHAAAAUUUUUUUUGHHH!” “hmmm hmmm hmm. music to my ears”
in which Jojo predicted the Michael Jackson “I love this song” meme, one of my personal favorite memes
also Stroheim’s eye piece can do this analysis thing apparently
drink this in, this is the most we ever learn of the pillar people
but if I’m to be honest I don’t think we needed every detail of their existence fed to us, its just that I’m left wondering how they fuck they were even here to start with
“they knew no strife and lived in peace with one another. but then a man with great pride and ambition was born among them!” this is literally “everything changed when Kars attacked”
I like the implication that Kars raised children
so after this knee injury I’m surprised Joseph didn’t have a bum leg on top of being an amputee
I meant it when I said fandom needs to stop ignoring that he’s disabled
“I wonder how do you like the taste of your own medicine?” “AAAAAAAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHH” “hmmmm a very articulate reply!”
its a good thing Joseph didn’t drop the red stone, I mean he easily could have and then what?
oh my God they’re playing Sono Chi no Sadame!
KABLAMMO
“the Force its strong” with this one
TIME TO GIVE KARS A HAND
I mean if we didn’t see the same thing happen earlier with Wamuu I would call this silly
“how do you always know?” because
“I just got lucky, but thinking I outsmarted him will drive Kars nuts” I love you
I know it makes no sense that this would suck Kars into the vacuum of space and I don’t care, this was a big ending fitting a villain like him
JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
JO
“the air is freezing around me!” joke’s on you because there is no air in space!
be careful not to choke on your ambitions Kars!
“so ended Kars, last and greatest of the Pillar Men. his body turned hard as rock and he floated through space for the rest of time. never to return. he wished for death, but there was nothing out there to kill him. the spark of thought within him went dim and then silent.”
see you space cowboy
like the idea of drifting for eternity with no means of ending it and eventually just ceasing to think is scary, but its exactly what he deserved
oh yeah right Joseph is TOTALLY dead
I am eternally grateful that Araki never made me watch Joseph Joestar die
I always liked how Suzie Q just sashays into a funeral for her own husband who isn’t actually dead
also her earrings are Js how cute
again Joseph is lucky he found a woman of equal intelligence to his
with parents like them I’m impressed Holly turned out like she did
while Suzie nursed him back to health she fed him cherries on a fork that were still attached to their stems, you see what I mean?
“you never sent that telegram like I asked did you!” “ah...I don’t really know”
ah the hand thing, I’d like to think Joseph tried doing it to impress Josuke because it amused Jotaro when he was like five and baby Jolyne and Josuke was all “why is my father like this?”
“aaaah! Suzie Q what the hell!? you had one job woman! ONE JOB!”
“soon after Lisa Lisa, aka Elizabeth Joestar, told Jojo that she was his mother” a scene I really wish we got to see
BABY HOLLY
also at least Erina got to die a peaceful manner knowing her and Jonathan’s struggles were not in vain
“a lifelong bachelor, he left no family behind” and I personally wish he did, I would have loved to see generations of the Speedwagon name and also I just think he deserved a family of his own considering his devotion to Jonathan’s
I am happy that Smokey became a successful politician, but a black mayor in Georgia during Jim Crow would...not have happened
to be fair I shouldn’t nitpick the series for lapsing in realism on some things while saying a lack of accuracy on others isn’t important
oh my God I’m so sad that Stroheim died at the Battle of Stalingrad...except I’m not
but you see what I mean when I say he and Joseph weren’t really friends? like he did him a solid, but they weren’t close
“and so the years flowed by to a new generation” here it comes!
old man Joseph is voiced by Richard Epcar who was Batou in GITS, Ansem in KH, and Jigen in Lupin III
making Joseph hate Japanese people never made sense to me, outside of this and some moments at the start of SDC its never really addressed again so welcome to another “if Araki doesn’t care then why should I” thing
though if I have to explain it I see this as him being angry that Holly married Sadao and that resulted in her leaving the country and Sadao just wasn’t there for her and Jotaro anyway so Joseph transfers these emotions onto other people which isn’t justified, but again its barely a thing in the long run
Sadao kinda sucks and literally all we know about him is he’s a Japanese jazz musician
oh so after me writing all this Joseph literally says it for me, so my interpretation is actually canon. good.
“then again they make some rather nifty gadgets” so much for “I do like my walkman”
also we can add Sony to the list of real companies that are shown in Jojo along with Pepsi and 7Up, no change in spelling, no fake name, this is Sony
going through BT again was fun. its not perfect and still sits kinda low when I rank the arcs in the series, but its still got a lot in its favor. outside of issues with some voices I’d say this dub was strong. I’m taking back any bad thing I said about Ben Diskin when this dub first came out, he’s a great Joseph. and while SDC is also far from my favorite and I know only a few episodes of this dub have been released I am looking forward to covering it. hopefully soon we’ll have the rest of those episodes.
“a 100 year old chest like that? could be anything!” you have no idea
