Pls do Saja Boys x Popstar!Reader. The popstar could be a Sabrina Carpenter type! Thank you!
You got it my friend 😘 I’ve been simping HARD for the Saja boys ever since the trailers and movie came out.
Saja Boys x F!Reader; otherwise called reader is nervous at all the attention from a group of hot guys.
I tried to make it as ambiguous as possible as to what the reader looks like, the only thing that’s set is that the reader has at least hair on their head 😅
Summary: Coming back from your world tour, you expect to rest for a bit before going back to performing. What you didn't expect was gaining the attention of five super attractive men that just can't seem to leave you alone.
Word Count: 2.8k
A/N: I might make a continuation of this with some nsfw bits for each member, let me know if that’s something y’all would be interested in

Getting back to your home from your tours has always been a highlight that you treasure, especially from how exhausting performing is. Still, there is nothing that you would change about your life. Currently, you just got home and cleaned yourself up and decided that going for a walk would be nice. The city is beautiful and getting some fresh air would do you some good.
That's how you now find yourself roaming the street in the market section of the city as you people watch. Occasionally, watching some of the birds as they're flying. One bird grabs your attention from the others though in the way it seems to be watching with... purpose, eventually landing on a sign that is nearby where you were standing.
Normally it wouldn't really be something that you pay attention to, despite you liking birds, but something about this particular bird just gets your attention.
The bird must have thought the same as it stays on the sign despite you getting closer.
"Well, you have some interesting patterns, don't you little guy?" You say to yourself as the bird just watched you, something flickers in your peripheral, but before you can turn to see it, the bird lets out a chirp bringing your attention back to it.
“Hm? Guess you don’t like being ignored, understandable, you’re a very handsome bird,” you smile at the bird before turning to leave, slightly waving to it as you continue to walk around, oblivious to the eyes that follow your form as you leave.
Some time passes before you decide to go back to your home, using the time to listen to some of the songs on your next album to feel out if they're up to your standards.
Days pass with you enjoying your short break and taking the time to slowly get back into your routine of dancing and singing practice. You had just finished your latest practice session when you decide to go back to town to get some groceries, maybe try out that new recipe you've been meaning to indulge in. You’re walking in the direction of the store you most frequent when you see the same bird, a smile coming across your face as you slightly wave to it again.
“Hello my little friend! Didn’t think I’d ever see you again,” you smile until a cough sounds from behind you.
You quickly turn face going red at being caught talking to a bird of all things, before it lands on an incredibly handsome stranger who has a small smile on his face. One that also shows he definitely saw you talking to a bird.
“You always talk to birds, or did I just get lucky to see it?” He says with a small smirk on his face.
“I- uh, no not,” you clear your throat trying to will the heat from your face to die down, “I try not to make it a habit,” you stammer out eventually calming down enough to meet his gaze.
His very handsome gaze that is, the heat slowly returns to your face while your eyes dart around.
You eventually get your bearings, clearing out your throat as you look at him eyes quickly flicking across him, really getting a look at him before finally retorting.
“Do you always watch girls when you’re out or did I just get lucky?” A small smile unintentionally making its way to your face before you quickly choke it down with an eyebrow raise, seeing a near drop dead gorgeous man definitely isn’t something you’ll complain about, but still a man is a man no matter how hot.
The stranger just lets out a low chuckle before stepping a little closer to you, eyeing the bird before it flies off to seemingly nowhere.
“Not really, only the pretty ones,” he says, hands in his pockets of his jeans while he looks you up and down. Before you get the chance to stammer out a reply, four other equally just as gorgeous men come around to him before one of them, the one with a shirt that is clearly hanging on for dear life, claps him on the shoulder.
“Yo, Jinu, we’re waiting for you man- woah,” the man who you would definitely say could call you any time looks at you with a look of recognition, one that you try to shake your head as fast as you can without looking insane.
“So you have a name! Love that for you, sorry for being weird- you guys have fun with whatever you were doing!” You quickly make your way out of there with a hand covering your face to shield it from their eyes as you could practically feel steam coming off it.
The one who recognized you still has wide eyes as he realizes that yeah you are that one definitely famous singer and oh my gosh he can't believe that you ran into them. He quickly clues in the other men who are just confused at both of your reactions, the news making Jinu smile as he starts to think maybe he was right to send his little bird to watch you.
“Oh my gosh I looked like an idiot, a complete moron in front of five hot guys. Ugh girl you need to get your shit together,” you mutter to yourself as you continue walking towards a clearing where some people are talking about a boy group performing there.
You pull your sunglasses on and pull up your jacket a bit to avoid being recognized as you stand in front of a gathering crowd as some music starts. To your shock and horror, the same men that you’d bumped into are performing and singing.
“Oh my gosh I’m so dead, I have to die of embarrassment now, no I need to leave the country,” your muttering is interrupted as you make eye contact with who you now know as Jinu as he winks at you, your face erupting into heat as you pull the strings of your jacket to cover your face. Meanwhile the women and men behind you scream as they think it’s for them.
The action causes the Saja Boys to smile wider as they notice you hiding your face. They continue with their song, you still listening and your shoulders unintentionally bouncing up and down to the music. They notice with glee, their song ending as they send out finger hearts to the crowd watching your reaction as you try to look anywhere but their faces.
They finish their song, officially making their debut as they seemingly disappear into thin air. This gives you the chance to finally go to the store and get all the things you need for your dinner. You're heading back to your home when you hear someone call out to you, you are turning with fear that it's a crazy fan. Instead, you hesitantly turn around to see that it is instead the five hot guys with handsome smiles on their faces. Maybe the fan would have been better, you think as your grip tightens on the groceries in your hands.
The one with long pink hair in the shape of a heart is the first one to greet you as he waves with a large grin on his face.
"You saw our show, right? Did you enjoy it? My name is Romance,” He smiles at you, the action has you lowering your shoulders a bit at his smile. He's pretty friendly, still devastatingly attractive though.
"Uh, yeah I did! It was really good, you were really good!"
You smile back a bit shy, eyes darting between the five men as their eyes zero in on you. The action causing you to get a bit bashful at the cropped shirt that leaves your stomach and cleavage slightly exposed. The men barely try their best to avoid being obvious at their shameless staring, but let their eyes wander a bit.
Jinu is the next one to speak, offering a hand as he speaks.
"Did you now? You need any help with those groceries; we'd be more than happy to help you~" He purrs out, a wolfish grin taking over his face as your face heats up at the look he gives you. Curse you for your dry spell, just looking at these guys is enough to bring some heat to you.
"No! No I'm- I'm fine really and I don't want to stop you guys from whatever you're up to," you let out as the one with mint hair has no shame in smirking at your bashfulness as you make eye contact with him. Who you later learn is Mystery, silently makes his way around you as you slightly back away from the hungry looks they give you. Your back hits his chest as you look up, you making a surprised sound to see him. He has a slight smile on his face at the look of shock on your own.
"We're not too busy, especially not when we could help a gorgeous woman out~" The one with the ill-fitting shirt says tilting himself down a bit to stare directly into your eyes, as he smirks at your nervous expression.
"No really! I wouldn't want to impose," you let out with a small laugh making your way into the direction of your house. They let you back away looking at you with a gaze that screams they would eat you up if given the chance.
A week passes by from the interaction you had, the memory playing in your head like a broken record. The memory is still playing during your practice in your dance studio as you hear voices passing by. You're in the middle of a break as your backup dancers are casually speaking to each other while you leave the room to grab more water and a sports drink. You're at the vending machine when you can physically feel eyes on you, you turn your head a bit to see the most muscular member of their group behind you.
He looks you up and down before letting a coy smile make its way to his face as he leans against the wall across the vending machine. You whip your head around, face getting heated up as you can feel it creeping to your ears.
"So, how's practice going for you?" You hear his deep voice close to you as you turn around a bit and see him now down to your ear, you let out a sound that could be comparable to unholy as you realize just how close he was. Immediately, you start stammering as you try to put some distance between you.
"It's- um, you're so close, it's going," you clear your throat as he just smirks at you, "It's um good; it's going good we were just going on our break for the next hour, rest a bit y'know? Hehe how's uh how's your practice going? What's your name by the way, never uh never got it..."
God, you have been out of the game for so long, can you speak to even one person normally?
He raises his eyebrows, not really expecting you to give a response, but gives a small smile, "names Abby, guess we never really introduced ourselves, huh?"
Your shoulders lower themselves at his response, a small smile gracing your features as you finally make eye contact.
"No, you really didn't, so new group, right? Your performance was really good, really catchy too!"
You smile at him before reaching to grab your drink from the machine, having forgotten about it, but Abby beats you to it, reaching down and grabbing the drink before holding it out to you. You grab it, but he holds it a bit tighter before letting go, his hand brushing yours.
"Well, if you get bored during your break feel free to come watch us practice in room four, I'm sure the guys would love to see you," Abby waves at you as he leaves.
You're left at the vending machine, heart thundering at the brief contact as you watch his back leave before he turns the corner to go back to their dance studio. You are so about to make a mistake going to see them, is all that you think as you're returning to your own room.
After getting back to your room, your dancers and you disperse to do your own thing for the next hour. With some thinking, you decide fuck it and head down to where Abby said they were practicing. You can hear music playing as you look through the door and see them taking a break and make eye contact with Abby who smiles before going to the door to let you in.
"So, you decided to join us?” Abby leans on the door covering your body form view as the other guys in the room wonder who he’s talking to.
“Yeah, figured why not not everyday you can watch a hot new group in their element,” you chirp out before realizing what you said.
“Sorry not hot! I mean you are hot, but I didn’t mean that hot I meant hot as in really popular!” You wince at Abby holding in his laugh as he leads you into the room.
As you enter the room, all their eyes fall on you and your hit with the feeling that you’ve walked into the lions den.
“Welcome princess, didn’t realize we’d have a guest or else I’d have cleaned up,” Jinu says as he looks your form up and down. He’s wearing a loose shirt and grey sweatpants that does nothing to hide his physique.
The other guys in the room all have looks of hunger at your outfit, still breathing heavily from their practice. The one with lilac hair covering his eyes is the second to approach you as he offers you some water.
“Figure you’d want water, I’m Mystery,” he quietly says before going to sit on the floor one leg propped out as he continues to catch his breath.
You’re holding the water to your chest when Abby leads you to where the speaker is, now turned off since they’re taking a momentary break. They sneak glances at you while you sit a little awkwardly just listening to them chat.
Eventually, Jinu calls them back to practice. They start with Soda Pop, as they dance your shoulders bop along to the music while they pour their attention to you making your face flush from the looks they give you.
"Cause I need you to need me," Jinu points at you and smirks, you look away before turning your attention back.
"I'm empty, you feed me," Romance licks him lips while looking you up and down.
"So refreshing," Abby winks at you while pulling his shirt a bit to expose his chest.
"My little Soda Pop," Baby turns towards you and gives you a sultry look before continuing with the dance.
They dance through the chorus while their attention remains on your form, you feel slightly exposed and flush a bit at all their gazes. They finish their dance, and you clap for them, "nice! You guys are good!"
Abby is the first one to approach you, leaning down breathing heavily as he cages you between his arms.
"Any notes you could give us, any suggestions," He asks lowly, voice slightly raspy. You swallow the spit in your mouth as you hold eye contact with him, stammering a bit.
Romance is the next to approach you going to your right side and leaning down a bit to your ear.
"Any pointers you could give us? Any moves you could show us?" He breathes in your ear, his hair tickling the side of your face. You start to breathe a bit heavier at the attention they give you, you lick your lips as they feel impossibly dry.
The action only grabs Abby's attention. He leans in closer so close he was only a hair away from your mouth and lets out a breath as he smirks.
"You nervous?"
You silently nod, leaning back the slightest bit as your back hits the mirrored wall of the studio leaving you trapped between the two men.
"Use your words, princess," Romance chides you from your right as your eyes dart to him. Breath leaving you at his words and your face heats before you stutter out a yes.
Abby takes some mercy on you and eases up on the barely there space and backs away leaving you to Romance as he gets a drink.
These boys are going to kill you.
Romance soon leaves the teasing as he goes off to get his own drink and talk with the other guys, you finally are able to grab a full breath, and your face finally calms down.
You bid goodbye to the boys as you go back to your own studio, mind reeling at the attention and proximity of the boys. These men are much too attractive to be doing this to you.
God help you, your heart can hardly take this.

Saja Boy Love Languages
Tumblr media
Oh lookie there just so happens to be 5 of them, how convenient.
Jinu - Quality time
This boy absolutely loves to seek you out for impromptu dates, especially more intimate and secluded ones. Long walks after dark, dinner in an empty restaurant, playing card games in bed. He wants to feel like he’s really getting to savor his time with you, absorbing your presence without any interruptions. He’s a sucker for good conversation, whether it’s the two of you just bouncing off each other with banter or having a deep conversation when you should be sleeping or him just listening to you ramble on and on while he memorizes every feature on your face. He’s utterly fascinated with all of your behaviors and soon will be able to read your demeanor like a book, knowing exactly what you need when you need. He gets antsy when he goes to long without having seeing you and will forcibly pull you away from anything if he’s desperate enough, craving another moment with just the two of you.
Abby - Acts of Service
Despite being kind of a massive douchebag, he really enjoys feeling like a true gentleman for you. First of all, absolutely any opportunity where he can show off his strength and build is a win in his book. He’ll hold your shopping bags for you, block people from bumping into you in crowds, reach things off of tall shelves. Oh, your feet are tired from standing? Well, you are being hoisted up into his arms, no questions asked. His manners game is also off the charts, even though he does it all with the most cocky smirk you’ve ever seen. He holds doors open for you, keeps you on the inside of the sidewalk, mindlessly adjusts your hair and accessories so you always look perfect. And he loves when you dote on him for doing all these little things, drinks up every thank you and cheek kiss. Sometimes you swear he’s randomly buying you your favorite snacks just to see you swoon over his chivalry and giving you his shirt when it’s not even that cold just to show off his abs to you…again.
Romance - Gift Giving/Receiving
How do we feel about ‘Roman’ as an alternative name for him?
Turns out being a massive Popstar has its financial perks and he has very few things he wants to spend his money on besides you. You might open your closet to find luxurious outfits that were totally not there before or find massive bouquets on your doorstep, all his doing. He’s very nonchalant about all of it too, only relaxedly admitting to it when you’re in the midst of having a crisis over where how this 22karat gold bracelet appeared on your wrist. As time goes on, he gets better at distinguishing your taste and making his gifts more appealing to you specifically, like a special edition of your favorite book or a pair of shoes you’ve been wanting all your life. He would literally go to hell and back if it means he could spoil you just a little more, nothing is ‘too much’ for his love. He also adores any and all gifts you give him, from a framed photo of the two of you that you printed out and decorated to literally a hair tie you let him borrow once that never leaves his pocket now.
Baby - Words of Affirmation
What can he say? He’s a lyricist at heart. Honestly, he’s going to be quite cool and apathetic most of the time, but when he gets going he really knows how to really lay it on thick. This might be sickeningly clever nicknames or passing compliments that set your heart on fire. It could also be the absolute most passionate, provocative monologue sensually whispered in your ear at this worst time possible. He loves to torture you with his knack for words. He’ll leave you Shakespearean-level love poems on sticky notes that you keep and cherish forever. And then he’ll mischievously deny ever leaving the note in the first place. He’ll randomly look up at you with glittering eyes and tell you all the ways he holds you dear, how finds you more precious than the universe itself, how he considers you to be a valuable blessing upon his life and he mourns the days before he knew you and dreads every future minute he can’t be beside you. Then he’ll very casually ask what you want for dinner. Good luck with all that whiplash. Don’t worry, even though he might not show it, you drive him just as wild with even the smallest things. You called him cute once and he plays the moment on repeat in his head. Boy is just as down bad as you are, but a lot better at hiding it.
Mystery - Physical Touch
He’s also quite good at keeping himself in check most of the time. In public, he won’t do much besides stand close to you, making sure your shoulders are brushing. He gives little frowns to anyone who tries to come as close to you, hovering over you like a guard dog. If you’re lucky and he’s feeling particularly clingy, he may hold your hand. But this absolutely pales in comparison to how he acts in private: he is feral for your touch. He wraps himself around you and nuzzles into your skin, labored breathing like you’re his only lifeline at this moment. You have to remind him to calm down. His limbs are squeezing yours, nails grazing and groping. You swear to god you hear sniffs, is he smelling you? He’ll press sloppy kisses over every inch of you, whimpering while he leaves wet patches, teeth just barely nicking your flesh. Sometimes he doesn’t realize how rough he’s being with his affection, he really just likes to feel like he’s consuming you, like you’re melting into him so you can never leave again. And if you do have to leave briefly in the middle of a cuddle session, even just for the restroom or to get a drink of water, he follows and has his hands gripping your clothes until he can tug you back to your bed or couch.

Match Found (18+)
Tumblr media
Summary: You didn’t think tonight would end with your brother’s best friend telling you how much he wants to fuck you… but here you are. Thighs shaking. Heart pounding. Fingers soaked. And it’s not even midnight yet.
Or alternatively where one needy night you end up on an anonymous sexting app only to realise this stranger yet familiar person you're sexting is actually your brother's best friend, kim mingyu.
Pairing: Mingyu x female reader
Setting: Sexting app
Word Count: ~ 3k
Themes: Sexting, slow-burn, depraved, intensely erotic, forbidden (brother's best friend)
Warnings: Explicit sexual content, masturbation, voice kink, dirty talk, mutual pining, brother’s best friend dynamic, fantasizing, edging
_______________________________________________________
It starts off harmless. A new app, an anonymous chat. You weren’t even trying to get off tonight — not really.
You just wanted to feel wanted.
You sign up with the name petal.crush, something vague and romantic to offset your restlessness. It’s just a sexting app — no profile photos, no bios, no identifying anything. Just usernames and raw, unfiltered chat.
The tagline was catchy: “No faces. Just fantasies.”
You match within seconds.
Matched with: lowtone.sin
Your screen lights up with the first message before you can even type.
> lowtone.sin:
You clicked first. So you’re either impatient or a little reckless.
Which one is it?
You bite your lip, already smiling at the confidence behind his tone. Typing back feels like slipping into something dangerous.
> petal.crush:
Maybe both.
You planning to do something about it?
> lowtone.sin:
That depends
Are you here for sweet words and flirting?
Or are you here to get ruined?
Your thighs instinctively press together.
> petal.crush:
Ruin me. Slowly.
There’s a long pause. You stare at the screen, anticipation crawling up your spine.
Then finally—
> lowtone.sin:
Good girl.
Let’s start with something easy.
What would I hear if I called you right now?
Would you sound sweet and shy?
Or would you already be wet and waiting?
You suck in a breath.
There’s no point pretending. No coyness left in you tonight. This man — whoever he is — has the kind of tone that makes your stomach clench and your mind submit. You press the mic icon before you can talk yourself out of it.
> petal.crush \[voice note – 0:12]
“I’m not touching myself yet. But I’m aching for it. My panties are soaked. Just from reading your messages”
The response comes fast.
> lowtone.sin:
You’ve got a filthy little mouth for someone who hasn’t even been told to touch yet.
Bet you squirm when someone takes control of you, don’t you?
That tight, needy body of yours probably begs for it.
You whimper — aloud — and type with trembling fingers.
> petal.crush:
You’re right.
I love being told exactly what to do.
I want to be teased, edged, used.
> lowtone.sin:
Fuck.
Get your hand between your thighs. Now.
Over your panties. I want your fingers soaked before I even let you move them.
You obey.
The fabric sticks to you immediately. You slide two fingers up and down the drenched cotton and exhale into the dark.
Your phone buzzes again.
> lowtone.sin:
I want to hear how wet you are.
Show me.
You record again, a soft gasp escaping your lips as you press a little harder.
> petal.crush \[voice note – 0:16]
“I’m dripping. The fabric’s so wet it’s clinging to me. I want to slide them off and touch my bare pussy for you.”
> lowtone.sin:
Not yet
Good things come to desperate girls
Tell me — how often do you touch yourself thinking about strangers?
You bite your lip.
> petal.crush:
Not streangers
Someone specific.
> lowtone.sin:
Oh?
Lucky bastard.
What’s he like?
Your throat goes dry.
Because he’s you. You’ve fantasized about him. That voice — it’s too perfect, too polished. The way he calls you good girl feels familiar in a way that’s wrong and addictive.
You shake it off.
> petal.crush:
Tall. Broad.Big hands. Sharp jaw.Smiles like sin.Looks like he could ruin me in one night and leave me wanting more.
There’s a pause. Then a photo notification.
Image\[jpg.1]
You tap on it, breath catching in your throat.
It’s a hand — his hand — wrapped around a thick cock. His grip is firm, the tip flushed red and glistening. You can see the base of his abs, tight and flexed, veins running across his forearm. It’s cropped — no face, no hints — but god, it’s pretty.
> lowtone.sin:
What do you think?
> petal.crush:
I think I want it down my throat.
> lowtone.sin:
You say things like that and expect me to keep my composure?
> petal.crush:
No.
I want to hear you lose it.
Another voice note comes in. His voice is deeper now — rough, frayed around the edges.
> lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:28]
“Fuck. If you were here right now, I’d have you on your knees. I’d hold your jaw, make you look up at me while I slide my cock across your tongue. I bet your eyes would water so pretty when I push deep.”
You moan. Loud. Hand slipping inside your panties at last, slick fingers circling your clit in dizzy little swirls. Your legs tremble.
> petal.crush:
I can’t wait. Please.
Tell me what to do. I’ll be so fucking good.
> lowtone.sin:
Take off your panties.
Lie back.
Spread your legs and take a photo for me.
I want to see the mess you made just from my voice
You obey.
You slide them off and grab your phone with one shaky hand, angling the camera down — flushed thighs, glistening lips, your fingers posed teasingly just above where you ache most.
Image\[jpg.2]
You hit send. Instantly.
> lowtone.sin:
Jesus
Look at that cunt.
Bet it’s tight as hell.
You fuck yourself slow or fast?
> petal.crush:
Depends how desperate I am.
> lowtone.sin:
And how desperate are you tonight, baby?
> petal.crush:
I’m so wet I could come without touching.
But I want you to drag it out. Make it painful.
There’s a moment of silence. Then:
> lowtone.sin:
…Fuck.
This is going to sound crazy.
But your voice?
Your photos.
You’re too fucking familiar.
Your chest goes still.
That tone. That rasp. That deep little breath before he speaks.
Your heart lurches.
No.
It can’t be.
You type, hands shaking:
> petal.crush:
Say something. Just one word.
I need to be sure.
He doesn’t text.
He sends a voice note.
> lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:06]
“Y/N.”
Your stomach drops.
It is him.
That voice, you know it. You’ve heard it a hundred times.
Because Mingyu — your brother Seungcheol’s best friend — has been in your house more times than you can count.
And now, he’s here. Holding his cock. Telling you how good your pussy looks.
Your fingers are still between your legs.
And you’re still soaked.
Your heart is pounding.
You’re sitting in your dark bedroom, soaked fingers trembling between your thighs, staring at your screen like it’s a weapon pointed directly at your chest.
Mingyu.
Your brother’s best friend.
The voice you’ve moaned to in secret.
The man whose towel dropped in front of you two summers ago, whose gaze lingered a beat too long when you walked into the kitchen in your smallest sleep shorts. The man who walked in on you changing and looked—just looked—but didn’t leave for three entire seconds.
Your mouth goes dry.
You wait for him to say something else. Anything.
lowtone.sin:
Say it.
I know you know it’s me.
I want to hear it.
You type slowly, every nerve ending alive.
petal.crush:
Mingyu.
I knew it the second you said my name.
You sound exactly how I imagined when I used to fuck myself to the thought of you.
A pause.
Then—
lowtone.sin:
Holy fuck.
You used to what?
petal.crush:
You have any idea how hard it was living in the same house and pretending I wasn’t soaking through my panties every time you smiled at me?
lowtone.sin:
Tell me.
Everything.
You pause, pulse pounding.
And then you type like you’re possessed.
petal.crush:
The shorts?
I wore those on purpose. I knew they barely covered my ass.
Every time I bent over to grab something, I made sure you were in the room.
Once, I even “accidentally” spilled water on my chest so I could walk past you in a wet tank top.
And that day you walked in on me changing?
I left the door unlocked.
His reply comes fast.
lowtone.sin:
You fucking minx.
I had to jerk off in your goddamn bathroom after that.
I saw your tits. I saw your thighs.
And the way you looked at me—like you wanted me to stay?
petal.crush:
I did want you to stay.
I wanted you to push me against the mirror and fuck me stupid.
Right there. With Seungcheol downstairs.
Another voice note.
You brace yourself before you tap it.
lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:34]
“I swear to God, Y/N. If I had known you wanted it even half as bad as I did, I wouldn’t have lasted another day pretending. Every time you moaned in your sleep when I stayed over, I nearly lost my mind. I wanted to sneak into your room and make you finish what you started.”
Your whole body jolts.
petal.crush:
I used to fake moan just loud enough for you to hear when I knew you were sleeping in the next room.
I imagined you sneaking in and putting your hand over my mouth while you fucked me into the mattress.
lowtone.sin:
Jesus fuck.
I used to picture you riding my thigh on the couch while Seungcheol played video games right next to us.
Just your pretty little cunt grinding against me, biting your lip so you wouldn’t make a sound.
You moan—out loud—and grab your phone, hand back between your legs.
You don’t even bother hiding it this time.
petal.crush \[voice note – 0:23]
“I’m touching myself again. I can’t stop. I’m picturing your hand over my mouth, your cock buried in me, and your voice in my ear telling me I’m your filthy little secret.”
lowtone.sin:
You are my filthy little secret.
Mine.
No one else gets to hear you like this.
No one else gets to see what I’m seeing.
Another picture arrives.
Image\[jpg.3]
He’s naked now, lying back, abs tight, one hand gripping his cock. He’s glistening with pre-cum, thick and flushed, the kind of cock you want to sink your teeth into.
You whimper.
lowtone.sin:
Let me see you again. All of you.
You slide your shirt off. Fingers trembling, you spread your legs wider and take the shot — body flushed, thighs slick, clit swollen and needy.
Image\[jpg.4]
You don’t even hesitate before sending it.
lowtone.sin:
I want to fuck you against every surface in your house.
Against the washing machine while it rumbles.
On your brother’s bed while he’s in the shower.
On the goddamn kitchen counter while you beg me not to stop.
petal.crush:
I used to imagine you standing behind me while I washed dishes.
Sliding your hand down the front of my shorts and telling me to keep doing chores while you made me come.
lowtone.sin:
I fantasized about making you gag on my cock while Seungcheol watched a movie in the next room.
You’d cry on it. I’d fuck your throat until you begged me to come inside.
And I’d pull out, grip your jaw, and say: “Open.”
You rub yourself harder now, two fingers circling your clit while you picture everything he’s saying.
petal.crush \[voice note – 0:28]
“I’d do it. I’d drop to my knees for you so fast. I’d swallow you down and let you use my mouth. I want it so fucking bad. Please—talk me through it. Tell me what to do.”
lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:32]
“Slide two fingers in. Slow. Stretch that tight pussy out while I stroke my cock and imagine it’s your sweet cunt clenching around me. Keep rubbing that clit. But don’t come. Not until I tell you.”
You moan brokenly and do as he says.
Fingers curling deep.
Your walls flutter.
You need him so badly it hurts.
lowtone.sin:
How many times have you come to the thought of me?
petal.crush:
I lost count months ago.
lowtone.sin:
What was your favorite fantasy?
You hesitate… then type.
petal.crush:
You bend me over the bathroom sink after a swim.
Your trunks are still wet.
I’m dripping all over the tile.
You grab my throat. You fuck me so hard I can’t even look at myself in the mirror.
And when I come, you keep going.
Until I’m shaking. Ruined. Begging.
He moans — this time in a voice note — and the sound is enough to send you right to the edge.
lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:24]
“You’re going to be the death of me. You want to be fucked that dirty, babygirl? You want to cry from how good it feels? I’ll give you every filthy fantasy you’ve ever had. Just say the word.”
You hit record with shaking fingers.
petal.crush \[voice note – 0:19]
“Please. Make me come. I’m right there. I want to scream your name. Let me be yours. Just say it, Mingyu.”
lowtone.sin:
Come.
Now.
Be my good girl and make a mess for me.
You explode.
White-hot pleasure tears through your core, every nerve singing. You cry out his name, legs twitching, soaked fingers buried in your pussy as you ride the orgasm out.
You’re a mess.
You can barely breathe.
And then—
A voice note. Raspy. Guttural.
lowtone.sin \[voice note – 0:14]
“Fucking hell. I’m coming—fuck—Y/N, I’m coming thinking about that tight pussy and your filthy mouth saying my name.”
You both go quiet for a minute.
Breathless.
Spent.
But buzzing.
You’re still panting.
Your fingers are sticky with your own slick. Your body’s boneless. Your skin feels too hot, your breath too shallow. The little hum of your phone is the only sound in the room, and you’re suddenly very aware of how quiet it is.
And how loud the truth is.
You just came for Mingyu.
And he just came for you.
Your brother’s best friend. The one you’re not supposed to want.
But God — you want him so bad your bones ache.
The screen glows.
lowtone.sin:
…Still alive?
petal.crush:
Barely.
I think you melted my brain.
lowtone.sin:
Good.
That was the goal.
You sounded so fucking pretty when you begged for it.
I replayed your voice note three times before I came.
Your cheeks flush with warmth that runs straight to your core.
petal.crush:
My legs are shaking.
Like… actually.
You wrecked me through a screen.
lowtone.sin:
Bet you’re all messy and flushed and glowing right now.
Wish I was there to see it.
Would kiss every inch of you. Clean you up with my tongue.
Your breath stutters.
petal.crush:
You’re gonna make me start all over again.
lowtone.sin:
Oh?
You that greedy for me already?
petal.crush:
I’ve been greedy for you since I was nineteen.
Since you walked out of the shower that one time shirtless and dripping and smiled like nothing was wrong while I nearly came just from looking at your waistline.
lowtone.sin:
Holy fuck.
I remember that day.
You wouldn’t meet my eyes.
You were wearing that little white top… no bra.
I had to jerk off in Seungcheol’s bathroom after dinner.
petal.crush:
I knew it.
I remember hearing the water run again and thinking, please let him be thinking about me.
lowtone.sin:
I always was.
Every time I came over, you were the only thing on my mind.
And every time I smiled, every joke I cracked — it was me trying to keep it together.
Pretending I didn’t want to drag you into your room and fuck you until you screamed.
petal.crush:
You don’t have to pretend anymore.
A beat passes.
Then:
lowtone.sin:
I want to ruin you, Y/N.
For real.
I want to see how that pretty mouth looks moaning my name.
I want to taste how sweet you are when you’re trembling under me.
I want to hold your wrists down and fuck you until you're mine.
Your chest squeezes. It’s still hot and filthy between you, but now there’s something else curling underneath it — something heavy and sweet and real.
lowtone.sin:
Remember that party last year?
When you wore that backless dress?
petal.crush:
Yeah. You kept refilling my drink.
lowtone.sin:
Because I couldn’t stop staring.
I wanted to drag you into the guest bathroom and eat you out against the door.
You were laughing, dancing like you didn’t know what you were doing to me.
petal.crush:
I knew.
I bent over on purpose.
Just so I could feel your eyes on my ass.
I wanted to know if you’d finally break.
lowtone.sin:
I almost did.
I had to go home early and jerk off to the image of your bare back and heels.
Imagining how you'd sound if I fucked you in them.
You’re flushed again. Dizzy with need. The ache is back, deeper than before.
petal.crush:
You’re making me wet again.
lowtone.sin:
Good.
Want you wet every time I speak.
Want you to fall asleep with my voice in your head and my name between your legs.
You record another voice note, throat thick with need.
petal.crush \[voice note – 0:18]
“You’re already in my head, Mingyu. I’m aching for you. Touching myself again. Can’t stop thinking about how you’d feel inside me.”
lowtone.sin:
Fuck.
You’re gonna kill me.
You’re perfect. You’re mine.
There’s a moment of pause. His next message is slower, quieter.
lowtone.sin:
We’re not going back after this, are we?
You stare at that sentence, heart pounding. You type slowly, surely.
petal.crush:
I don’t want to.
I don’t want to pretend I don’t want you anymore.
I want this. You.
Even if it’s wrong.
lowtone.sin:
Then it’s us.
No more secrets.
No more pretending.
petal.crush:
You gonna come see me?
lowtone.sin:
You better leave the door unlocked.
Because I’m coming over tomorrow night.
And I’m not leaving until I’ve had your legs around my shoulders and my name in your throat.
Your whole body tingles.
petal.crush:
You sure you can handle me?
lowtone.sin:
Baby, I’ve been waiting for this for years.
I’m gonna make sure you never forget the first night we stop pretending.
And just like that, you're already aching for round two.
Even if it hasn't even begun yet.

Author's note: This idea has been in my head for a while now so I had to let it out. I originally planned to write a sexting smut that felt more authentic to the story, as this is set on a sexting app, I wanted to include all the elements to it like actual images(just as one does in smaus), audios of them moaning or whimpering yk, short video clips and all but I realised I'd get reported if I did that so I had to keep it limited to words. Hope y'all liked it still. This format was a new one and I struggled a bit with it but still enjoyed working on it nonetheless.

featuring: jinu, abby, baby, mystery, romance
[ minors don’t interact; by choosing to interact with this content, you have consented to viewing something n-fw despite the warnings. ]
Tumblr media
jinu loves having you ride him.
he’ll flash you a cocky grin while settling himself back in bed with both hands placed beneath his head. your hips would tremble with need for him while making your descent down the shaft of his cock.
and once jinu was fully sheathed within you, it would take a herculean effort to hold back the need to cum inside of you, gritting his teeth while biting back his moans with a smirk.
“c’mon baby, is that all you got?”
despite your whimpers, a look of determination would be seen within your gaze as you braced yourself on his broad chest, thrusting your hips sloppily against his as it takes you a few tries to gain your momentum-
but once you were able to set a decent pace, jinu knew that he was a goner, unable to last even a full minute with you bouncing up and down his cock so passionately. his eyes would meet your gaze, large hands gripping at your bouncing tits while playing with your hardened nipples. each time you would come down on him, you could feel his hard cock brush against your swollen clit as the hedonistic sensation was enough to tip you over the edge.
and when you finally spilled yourself on his cock, jinu couldn’t help but meet your lips in a searing kiss, swallowing the rest of your moans as he pumped you full of his seed.
Tumblr media
abby is addicted to folding you in a mating press, tossing both of your legs over his broad shoulders as he continuously fucks his cock into you.
the demon basks in the way he’s able to make your eyes roll into the back of your head all while muttering nasty things within your ear.
look at you, droolin’ on m’cock like a needy slut.
bet you can’t even think straight, eh?
fuck look at how pretty you are.
look at how your pretty pussy clenches around me, wanting to milk me dry.
his filthy words were doing things to your body, making sweet goosebumps erupt all across your body as abby used you as his personal fucktoy, slamming into your entrance over and over again that it made you lose your mind just seconds later.
your release hits you like a freight train, with your walls clenching around abby’s thick cock, your juices spilling down his shaft when he lets out a groan of your name.
“fuck, did you just squirt on me?”
by now, the mortification you felt was palpable, the embarrassment flowing through your very veins when abby lets out a deep chuckle. steadying your legs on his shoulders once more, he slams his cock back into you, the squelching sounds of your walls taking him in echoes throughout the room as he fucks you once more, making you cry out to him when he whispers hotly in your ear-
“you’re such a good girl f’me. how about i make you squirt three more times and we’ll call it a night?”
Tumblr media
baby lives to see your ass bouncing on his cock, with his hands gripping at your waist as he keeps you in the reverse cowgirl position.
you brace your hands over his legs, feeling baby lay back as he simply watches you struggling to take in his thick cock. each time to bring your hips down on him, you felt yourself approaching your high-
yet you were too weak to go on.
your arms were hurting from how much you had to steady yourself on top of his legs, which made you whimper with need for him.
“babe… baby… i need help… i need you…!”
despite being unable to see him, you could feel him sitting up. he presses a lingering kiss against your temples, wrapping an arm around your naked chest, “was it too much for you? does my girl need help? how cute.”
with those final words, baby grants your wishes the moment he pistons his hips upwards, fucking himself into you as he made sure he was buried to the hilt each time he returns inside of your heat. you were let a drooling mess when baby finally takes over, unable to focus on anything that wasn’t his cock as you succumbed to the pleasure he was giving you.
Tumblr media
mystery loves having you laying on your side, with a leg tossed over his shoulder as he drills his cock into you.
this position was a particular favorite of mystery since he could see the way your tits bounced in tune with his every thrust. his hands would worship every dip and curve of your body while his lips would place lingering kisses against your ankles.
the sounds that escapes from your parted lips were nothing short of music to his ears, and he could feel his cock growing each time he thrusts back into you. the silky feel of your walls and how he manages to hit your g-spot from this angle would ultimately lead to your undoing-
with you spilling yourself on his cock as you allowed a demon to bring you to the gates of heaven.
Tumblr media
romance (being a true romantic at heart) would be the one who enjoys fucking you in the missionary position.
there was something achingly intimate about being able to watch your every expression as he slides himself into you-
basking in your soft mewls while interlocking his fingertips together with yours each time he thrusts his cock in and out of you.
just being able to press himself oh so close to you, becoming a tangle of limbs as romance wasn’t sure where you began and he ended-
it was during moments like these that romance felt almost human again.
with a growl of your name, romance would proceed to wrap your legs around his waist, bracing himself against the bed as he sped up his movements, wanting to hear more and more of your moans and keens that echo throughout the night-
feeding his need to completely taint you with his desires as he had no intention of ever stopping.

first off all GURL YOUR WRITING IS LITERALLY TOP TIER I CANNOT WITH IT—
and second, i saw you had your requests open and while i’ve never done this before i really, really would love it if you could write a poly!wolfstar with reader coming from a pretty similar family background as sirius and gets triggered by loud noises and remus is in a bad headspace because it’s just a few days before full moon and he accidently yells at her and reader just shuts down and tries to brush it off because she thinks she’s being dramatic and tries to act unruffled but sirius sees through it and overall just hurt/comfort, pretty please? ILY
Awe thank you lovely! For both the sweetness and the request <3
cw: migraine, reader panics because of shouting/aggression
poly!wolfstar x fem!reader ♡ 1.4k words
Remus has told you to leave him alone more than once. You know that you should, that you really ought to make yourself scarce because these moods before the full moon almost never yield good things. The issue is that you care about Remus more than consequences, and as a result you’re not very good at doing what you should.
“Hey,” you say gently, when he passes you by on his way back to his desk with another cup of tea. “That’s too much caffeine, lovely. You’ll make your headache worse.”
“It’ll be fine,” Remus grunts. He continues on his way, and, despite Sirius’ look, despite knowing better yourself, you give chase.
“You’ll regret it if you have another,” you reason, following him to his work-cluttered desk, which has been shoved temporarily into the darkest corner of your bedroom. “I know some caffeine helps, but too much—”
“I know how it works.” Remus’ voice is low. Low, but not thin. He doesn’t look at you as he sits down. “I need it, alright?”
You take a breath. Yes, you can see how you explaining Remus’ own migraines to him might not be well received. But it’s not easy to watch your boyfriend act against his own self-interest.
Remus has described the feelings leading up to a full moon to you before. He said it feels like something sizzling under his skin, or crackling. It’s not entirely pleasant, but it gives him more energy than he ever has otherwise. Makes him restless, productive, lively. Eventually, though, that energy builds into something he can barely tolerate—that’s when the migraines usually start. Remus gets irritable, his joints ache, it’s like his body is trying to hold something no human can, waiting for the full moon and the chance for Remus’ not-human body to expel it all.
When you think about how much energy he’s storing, that electric sizzle under his skin, caffeine hardly seems necessary. Until you take into account that Remus has hardly slept for the past three nights. Then you wonder if perhaps his brain can no longer keep up with the tireless dynamism of the rest of him.
“Maybe you should rest for a while instead,” you try.
“I have work to do.”
“It’ll still be there after a nap.”
“And I suppose I may as well just wait until after the full, then, yeah?”
“I mean, maybe.” You pick up on Remus’ sarcasm, but you don’t disagree. “You can’t be expected to just power through when you’re having such a hard time.”
“Really?” There’s bite in your boyfriend’s voice now. Enough that you retract the hand you were about to set on his shoulder. “I can’t be expected to? That’s exactly what’s expected of me. I don’t just get a week off every month.”
You push out a frustrated breath. “I know, and that’s not fair—”
“None of this is fair.” Remus turns in his seat, glowering with such virulence it shocks you despite the argument you’d thought you were prepared for. “There aren’t allowances made for lycanthropy. If I told my boss that I need a lighter workload and he made the connection, he could report me to the ministry. I can’t afford to complain about how my head hurts or indulge in naps and breaks when everyone else keeps working.”
His voice rises, and he’s suddenly taller than you, looking down on you. He stood up. Your ears are ringing.
“If everyone else is able to handle their workload during the full, I have to, too. Do you understand that?”
You find you can’t speak. There’s a horrible ache sitting in the base of your throat which won’t let anything out. You nod.
“Do you?” Remus seems exasperated. Baffled by your naïveté. “I don’t want to be told that I shouldn’t be working. I don’t want to be told that I can’t have caffeine to get through it, because I know what I have to do, and that’s not something you can understand. Alright?”
“Alright,” you choke out.
“Do you get that?”
“Yes.”
“Remus,” says another voice. You don’t turn, but you don’t need to; Sirius always follows the sound of shouting. It’s habit for him. “That’s enough, love.”
“I was done,” Remus snaps.
Sirius’ hand wraps around your elbow. His fingers feel cool, or maybe you’re only hot. You feel very, very hot.
“Hey,” he prompts softly. Now you look at him. Sirius’ expression is all tenderness, and it feels like whiplash. “You okay?”
You dismiss the question with a shake of your head. Your ears are still ringing. “Yeah.”
You look back to Remus. You can’t help it. You want to fix, and to leave, and to dissolve. But Remus is the epicenter of everything, and you feel as though taking your eyes off him even temporarily is a danger.
“Let’s be done squabbling for now,” Sirius says, his voice unnaturally light. “We’ve all said our piece, yeah?” He gives your arm a gentle tug, and you take a step back. You’d been nearly right up against Remus, you realize. Frozen to the spot where you’d gone to rest your hand on his shoulder. Sirius runs his thumb over your skin before asking again, “Are you okay?”
Tears invade your eyes without warning. Your face burns, and you feel it screw up in an attempt to keep them from falling. “Yeah,” you say unsteadily. “I’m just—so—sorry.”
Two things happen seemingly at once: your voice fractures, and Sirius crushes you to him.
Remus exhales. You hear the creak of his chair taking his weight again. “Shit.”
“Shh, I know,” Sirius murmurs, petting your head while your tears spill over to wet his jumper—Remus’ jumper, which smells like both of them and probably also you. “I know, baby, it’s okay. You’re safe here.”
“I’m sorry,” Remus says. His voice sounds muffled, as though he’s speaking into his hands.
“No, it’s—I’m sorry.” You sniff, trying to wipe under your eyes. Sirius keeps you held to his front. “It’s not your fault.”
“It is my fault.”
“I believe I said we were done with the squabbling.” Sirius kisses your head firmly. “What do you need, sweetness? Some quiet? Time to breathe?”
“I’m okay. Really, I’m fine.” You give Sirius a grateful squeeze before letting him go. He lets you, but watches you concernedly as you swipe a knuckle underneath your eyes. The ringing in your ears has faded to near nothing, aftershocks trembling through your fingers in its wake.  “I’m fine. I just—needed a second. Sorry.”
Sirius makes a quiet sound. “Stop that. You don’t have to be sorry.”
Remus nods his agreement. His head is in his hands, you can see now, but he lifts it up to look you in the eyes. “I shouldn’t have raised my voice at you.”
You shake your head. “You were right. I was insensitive. And I don’t know why I reacted like that, I’m just being dramatic.”
“Oi,” Sirius cuts in sternly, though half as stern as he’d usually be even to tease you. “I’m dramatic. Get your own personality.”
That gets your lips to twitch a little. You watch as Remus sends him one of his fond, exasperated looks.
“You weren’t being dramatic,” Remus says to you. “I shouted at you. However angry I was, that’s not alright. I’m sorry I scared you.”
“You didn’t scare me.” Your eyes are beginning to burn again. You try to blink through it. “It was just—it was—”
“I understand,” he says, softly. His expression is still taut with pain, but some of the harsher lines have melted away. “I’m sorry anyway. Do you want to come here?”
Sirius hums satisfiedly when you go sit across Remus’ lap and wrap your arms around his shoulders. He draws his hand up and down your back slowly, with enough pressure to ease away any lingering tension coiled around your spine. You breathe out. Sirius doesn’t hold out long before he’s there too, curled around the two of you and squeezing heartily.
“You two aren’t allowed to fight,” he mutters, kissing your head and Remus’ in turn. “In order for me to be petty and vain, I need you to be the sensible ones, understand? This is a delicate ecosystem.”
“I don’t know,” you hum. “I think Remus should get breaks some way or another around the full moon. Can’t you take a sensible shift once a month?”
Sirius lets out a sigh like the weight of the world is on his shoulders, but you hear the gentle sound of him pressing another kiss to Remus’ head. “Suppose so. Only once a month, though.”

Home Court Advantage
Paige x Azzi
Word count: 2.5k
Warnings: fluff, sexual content 18+
a/n: I couldn’t get this future reunion out of my head so here it is. Here’s to hoping summer workouts finish up so our girls can be reunited. Please remember these are fictional stories inspired by real life people.
———
The sun was setting low over the Dallas skyline, painting the city in soft gold and peach hues. Paige stood at her apartment window, her arms crossed as she watched the light slip down behind the buildings. The air was still warm from the day’s heat, but she felt a cold jitter in her chest—the good kind. The nervous kind.
Azzi was landing in less than an hour.
Paige hadn’t seen her in person since that night two weeks ago at the Mystics game. The night they’d tangled themselves up in each other until all the space that had stretched between them for too long finally disappeared. Since then, they’d been counting down every day, every practice, every FaceTime call, and every sleepy “I miss you” text.
Now, it was down to minutes.
Paige didn’t even notice she was pacing until her socked feet were nearly burning from the friction of the hardwood floor. She looked down and laughed at herself. “Get it together,” she muttered, tugging a hand through her messy bun. Then, just as she reached for her phone to check the time again, it buzzed.
Azzi: landed, in the uber now 💗
Paige’s heart stuttered.
———
The knock on the door was soft.
Paige flung it open before the second knock could land. There she was. Azzi, in black joggers, white sneakers, and a navy UConn hoodie three sizes too big, probably Paige’s. Her curls were piled on top of her head in a lazy bun. She looked tired—but radiant.
They stood there, just looking at each other, both suddenly still.
Then Azzi dropped her duffel and launched herself forward. Paige caught her mid-jump, arms wrapping around her waist, holding her like something precious.
“You’re here,” Paige breathed into Azzi’s shoulder.
“I’m here,” Azzi whispered back, her voice shaky with emotion. “And I’m not going anywhere.”
Paige pulled back just enough to kiss her. It started soft—like a homecoming—but quickly deepened, months of distance collapsing into a single, desperate breath. Paige’s hands found Azzi’s face, her waist, her hips. Azzi tugged at the hem of Paige’s tank top like she wanted to crawl under her skin and stay there.
Eventually, they pulled apart just long enough to stumble inside, laughing breathlessly.
———
Later, after pizza boxes had been tossed and the sun had disappeared completely, the two lay curled up on Paige’s oversized sectional, limbs tangled, a soft throw blanket half-draped over them.
Azzi was nestled between Paige’s legs, her back resting against her chest, their fingers loosely intertwined. The TV played some old rom-com on mute, but neither was watching.
“You know,” Azzi murmured, tilting her head to look up at her, “I thought being apart would get easier.”
Paige’s fingers paused mid-stroke through Azzi’s curls. “Did it?”
“Nope,” Azzi said, turning fully in her arms. “It sucked every day.”
Paige smiled, brushing her nose against Azzi’s. “I feel like I kept it together for like, the first three days. And then I turned into a clingy mess.”
“Same.” Azzi traced patterns on Paige’s forearm. “I missed everything about you. Your smell. Your dumb TikToks. The way you complain about oatmeal like it’s a personal betrayal.”
“Oatmeal is dry paste pretending to be food.”
Azzi laughed. “There she is.”
There was a pause, filled with the quiet hum of the city outside.
Then Paige leaned in and kissed her slowly. Less fire, more gravity. Azzi melted into it with a sigh.
“You’re really staying?” Paige asked softly.
“I’m really staying,” Azzi confirmed, brushing a thumb across her jaw. “Workouts are here now, and I’m with you. No more two-week stretches. No more FaceTimes before bed instead of the real thing.”
Paige leaned back just enough to study her. “Good. Because I wasn’t kidding about needing you here. Like… actually needing you.”
Azzi pressed her forehead to Paige’s. “You have me. For real. I’m yours, remember?”
Paige nodded, and then grinned. “Good. Because I bought you something.”
Azzi’s eyes narrowed suspiciously. “Is it another jersey?”
Paige jumped up and disappeared into the bedroom. When she returned, she was holding something behind her back.
“Okay, don’t laugh,” she said.
“I’m already laughing.”
Paige pulled out a hanger. On it was a Wings jersey, custom stitched, with the name “Azzi” on the back and a tiny heart embroidered inside the number five.
Azzi’s face split into a grin. “You didn’t.”
“I did,” Paige said proudly. “Because if you’re gonna wear someone’s name, it’s gonna be your own. Right next to mine.”
Azzi took it from her hands like it was fragile. “This is… actually perfect.”
She stood and slowly pulled the jersey over her hoodie, letting it hang oversized off one shoulder. “How do I look?”
“Like you’re mine,” Paige said without hesitation.
Azzi walked over and straddled Paige’s lap, arms wrapping around her neck. “Damn right.”
Azzi’s mouth found Paige’s again, but this time there was no teasing, no restraint—just heat. She shifted in Paige’s lap, hips brushing, and Paige let out a quiet groan as her hands settled at Azzi’s waist, gripping tightly.
“You feel so good,” Paige murmured against her lips, tugging the jersey up just enough to get her hands under it.
Azzi leaned back slightly and peeled it off, tossing it to the couch beside them. She was still wearing the hoodie underneath, but even that felt like too much.
“Take it off,” Paige whispered, hands already sliding beneath the hem. Azzi didn’t need to be asked twice—she reached behind her neck, pulled it off in one motion, and let it fall to the floor. Underneath, she wore a sports bra that Paige immediately tugged upward.
“God, I missed you,” Paige said as her hands slid up Azzi’s back, pulling her in. She buried her face in Azzi’s neck, kissing the spot just below her ear, feeling the way Azzi shivered in her arms.
“I missed this,” Azzi whispered. “Missed you touching me like this. Like I’m the only thing in the world.”
“You are,” Paige said honestly, her hands sliding over the curve of Azzi’s back, thumbs brushing beneath the band of the sports bra before finally pulling it over her head and letting it drop between them. She leaned back just a little to take her in.
Azzi was breathing hard, her eyes dark with want. “Are you gonna keep staring at me or…?”
“Don’t rush me,” Paige grinned. “You’re too pretty not to look at.”
Azzi blushed—then grabbed Paige by the front of her tank top and pulled her forward until their lips crashed together again. Paige moaned, her hands roaming over warm skin, tracing the lines she’d missed for too long. Her thumbs brushed over Azzi’s nipples, and she felt the sharp inhale her girlfriend took in response.
Paige broke the kiss just long enough to murmur, “Bed. Now.”
Azzi stood, taking Paige’s hand and pulling her with her down the short hallway into the bedroom. The second the door shut behind them, Paige turned her and pressed her gently up against the wall.
She kissed down Azzi’s collarbone, down her chest, taking her time. She sucked gently at the skin just above her breast, leaving the kind of mark that wouldn’t be visible in a jersey—but Paige would know it was there.
Azzi gasped as Paige dropped to her knees, fingers trailing down the waistband of her joggers. She looked up, waiting.
Azzi nodded, breathless. “Please.”
Paige tugged the joggers and underwear down in one motion, letting them pool at Azzi’s ankles before pressing a kiss to her hipbone, then the inside of her thigh.
“Paige,” Azzi breathed, threading her fingers through Paige’s hair. “I need—”
“I got you, baby.”
“You’re so wet for me already,” Paige whispered, voice rough against Azzi’s skin.
Azzi nodded, breathless. “I’ve been like this since the airport.”
Paige grinned and kissed Azzi’s belly button, then the soft skin just beneath it. “That right?”
Paige leaned down further and kissed her center softly, then again, slower. She felt Azzi’s legs tremble as her hands found the back of Paige’s head, holding her close. Paige licked long, teasing strokes until Azzi was squirming, then focused her tongue on exactly where she knew Azzi needed it.
“Oh my God—yes—” Azzi gasped, head falling back against the wall.
Paige reached up with one hand to grip her waist, the other sliding between Azzi’s thighs to help her stay steady. She loved how responsive Azzi was—how every moan, every shake, every soft plea was like a song only Paige got to hear.
When Azzi’s legs started to give out, Paige stood and caught her, lifting her easily and carrying her to the bed. She laid her down gently, kissing her along the way.
Azzi pulled her in by the shirt. “Now you,” she whispered.
Paige stripped off her tank top and shorts, climbing over Azzi with a hunger that had been simmering for weeks.
Their bodies found a rhythm immediately—hands tangled in hair, mouths never far apart. Paige pressed herself against Azzi, their bare skin brushing, and both of them gasped.
“I love you,” Azzi said into her shoulder, clutching her tight.
Paige kissed her neck, her cheek, her lips. “I love you too.”
Azzi’s lips were parted, her chest rising and falling fast, but she didn’t look away either. The air between them was charged—thick with all the tension that had been building for weeks.
“God, I missed you,” Paige murmured as she leaned down to kiss her again, slow and deep.
Her hands roamed Azzi’s body—over soft curves and strong muscle, committing every detail to memory like she hadn’t already done it a hundred times. She kissed her way down Azzi’s neck, sucking gently at the spot just below her jaw until she felt Azzi twitch beneath her.
Paige’s hand slid down between Azzi’s legs, brushing over her center—wet and aching. Azzi inhaled sharply, her hips jerking forward at the contact.
“Paige,” Azzi said, a whine already lacing her voice. “Please.”
Paige loved when she begged. Not because she liked control—but because it meant Azzi trusted her with that vulnerability. Trusted her to take care of her, to give her what she needed.
She kissed down Azzi’s stomach, then lower, settling between her thighs. Azzi opened for her without hesitation, spreading her legs wide across the sheets.
Paige brushed her mouth over her again—just once, light as a feather—and watched as Azzi’s back arched, a low moan slipping from her lips.
Then she licked her properly—slow, deliberate, pressing her tongue against Azzi’s folds and sliding through her soaked heat.
“Fuck—” Azzi gasped, fingers threading tightly into Paige’s hair.
Paige groaned at the taste, anchoring her hands on Azzi’s hips as she started to move her tongue with purpose. She licked in slow, deep strokes, circling her clit every few passes, drawing out a string of high, broken moans.
Azzi was already close—Paige could feel it in the way her thighs trembled, the way her hips rolled up to meet her mouth. But Paige wasn’t ready to let her fall just yet.
She slowed, pulling back slightly. Azzi whimpered, hips chasing the contact.
“Not yet,” Paige said, voice low. “Wanna make this last.”
She slid two fingers inside her, feeling Azzi’s walls clench tight around them as she pumped slowly. At the same time, she leaned back in, flicking her tongue over her clit in fast, steady strokes.
“Paige—oh my God—” Azzi cried out, hands gripping the sheets now.
“That’s it,” Paige murmured against her. “Let go, baby. I got you.”
Azzi came hard, her thighs clamping around Paige’s head, her whole body shaking as the orgasm tore through her. Paige didn’t stop—slowed just enough to let her ride it out, kissing her through every wave of it until Azzi collapsed against the bed, boneless and gasping.
Paige pressed a final kiss to her inner thigh, then crawled back up her body, resting on her elbows so their faces were just inches apart.
“You okay?” she whispered.
Azzi nodded, dazed. “You just wiped me off the face of the earth.”
Paige chuckled and kissed her softly. “Not done yet.”
She reached down, grabbing Azzi’s thigh and guiding it around her own hip, pressing their bodies together—wetness meeting wetness, skin on skin.
Azzi’s eyes fluttered open, and Paige could see the fire starting to return.
“Ride me,” Paige said.
Azzi didn’t need to be asked twice. She flipped them over smoothly, straddling Paige with practiced ease, her thighs already slick and shining in the low light. Paige looked up at her in awe—completely bare, flushed, glowing.
“God, you’re unreal,” she whispered.
Azzi leaned down to kiss her, slow and sensual, before reaching between them to guide their centers together. She rocked her hips forward, and they both gasped at the contact—slick heat grinding against slick heat, everything desperate and perfect.
Azzi started to move, slow at first, hips rolling in lazy, wet circles that made Paige’s eyes fall shut. Paige grabbed her thighs, then her waist, holding her tighter with every stroke. The friction was everything—soft and intense and burning in the best way.
“Az—fuck,” Paige gasped, her nails digging into Azzi’s hips.
“I want you to come with me,” Azzi said, voice trembling.
“I’m so close,” Paige panted, lifting her hips to meet every thrust. “So close, baby.”
Azzi leaned forward and buried her face in Paige’s neck, moaning as their rhythm turned frantic. Every inch of their skin was slick, bodies grinding together fast and deep until the pleasure overtook them both.
Paige cried out as her climax hit, her back arching off the bed, pulling Azzi down with her. Azzi followed a beat later, clutching Paige’s shoulders, body writhing in her arms as she came again—louder this time.
They stayed like that for a long moment—clinging to each other, breath shaky and hearts pounding.
Azzi finally collapsed onto Paige’s chest, and Paige wrapped her arms around her tightly, pressing soft kisses to her temple.
Neither said anything at first. They didn’t need to.
They lay tangled up together, skin still warm, the room quiet except for their synced-up breathing.
Azzi’s body trembled beneath her, and Paige slowed everything down—her hands, her kisses, the way she held her. She wanted Azzi to feel safe in every second of it, not just wanted.
Their breathing was still heavy, but the urgency had settled into something quieter—deeper. Paige traced a slow circle along Azzi’s waist as they lay tangled in the sheets, bare skin warm against bare skin.
Azzi’s eyes fluttered open. “Hi,” she whispered.
Paige smiled and pressed a kiss to her temple. “Hi.”
Neither of them moved for a long moment. Azzi was curled into her side, one leg thrown over Paige’s, her cheek resting just above her heart. The soft rhythm of their breathing filled the quiet room like a lullaby.
Paige reached for the edge of the blanket and pulled it up over them, letting it cocoon their bodies in warmth. Azzi hummed softly, already drifting.
“You okay?” Paige asked, her voice low and tender.
Azzi nodded without opening her eyes. “More than okay.”
Paige kissed her forehead and let her own eyes close. There was no rush now, no countdown ticking down until one of them had to leave. No airport goodbyes or awkward time zones. Just this—soft skin, shared breath, the steady beat of a heart she knew better than her own.
For the first time in a long time, Paige didn’t feel like something was missing.
Azzi was here. She was home.

The thing about Aragorn is that he's actually a really stock fantasy character, but he's usually done as an angsty teenager. The rejection of the heroic destiny and overcoming that is usually an expression of adolescent or young adult anxiety, or a narratively performative rejection of authority to demonstrate one's worthiness. It's a story about coming into the world from a place of powerlessness to a place of immense responsibility. It's a coming of age story.
Aragorn isn't a teenager. Hell he's not even middle-aged by typical human standards, he is old enough to have watched every single human in his life grow old and die. And he grapples everyday with having lived through that side of immortality and knowing that if he doesn't condemn the elf he loves to a mortal death, that she will one day experience that about him. Aragorn isn't even moving from a position of not having responsibility to a position of responsibility, he's out there as a Ranger getting. shit. done. This guy charges all nine ring wraiths with a torch and a mundane blade because that is his godsdamn job description.
Aragorn isn't a kid growing up. He's the veteran World War I officer coming back for World War II.
There's no lesson to be learned in that. There's no moral about accepting responsibility even, he already did that in his role as a Ranger. Even as he rejected the kingship, he never rejected responsibility, he just did it in the way he thought he was best suited to and he was damn good at it. His story is just that of a person who has earned their rest a thousand times over, who is still serving his community anyway, being tasked with enduring a whole new set of trials. Not because he needs to learn something from it, not really. Had Sauron not been coming back and corrupted Denethor, it would have been a fine call to make.
Honestly, even his decision to love with Arwen isn't even really narratively aligned with it. Him taking the crown is an act of selflessness, but asking an elf to love him is incredibly selfish. His decision to seek in the time he has is in a way polar opposite to his decision pick up the burden of leadership. It's not part of his grand narrative lesson, it's just a guy figuring out shit about his personal life even as the world falls apart.
But that's the thing, the world did fall apart. The great war came back, and so it's back onto the front lines for Aragorn. He volunteers, because the kids need him.
Which I think is what makes his story so incredibly moving, and is the source of the something that so many of his analogues in other stories lack. The world and its story isn't built around teaching him a lesson. He's just ... a guy in it. An amazing one, who is desperately needed, but the conflict isn't for him. The world isn't ending so an audience can experience grappling with responsibility vicariously.
It's just talking saying that this is what a great person looks like. The world has those.
And because he doesn't have to hit specific beats of growth, he's allowed to just be a complex and well developed person when he enters the story. So we get this good person, a great person, and he's incredibly fleshed out. So he doesn't just end up being an archetype of greatness, he ends up being a person who is great. But he's also not a character you're supposed to identify with, that's not the purpose of his humanity, those would be the hobbits. Lord of the Rings doesn't say you're supposed to aspire to be Aragorn who becomes a king, it says you're supposed to aspire to be the poor bastards in over their heads who get to go home.
What it says about Aragorn is that when shit gets rough, when things are at their worst? There will be people who are equal to it. That when everything is lost and the best you have left is a suicidal delaying action, there will be someone who can make you believe that it's all worth it.
It's not always true. The young lads all come home in this story too, and that's certainly not what happened for Tolkien. But it's a dream about what should be.
And it's a beautiful dream.
after a lifetime of hearing about aragorn but not reading the books or watching the movies, genuinely nothing could have prepared me for his actual introduction. the hobbits picked this man out of a dumpster. he is a textbook softspoken angst prince and he is covered in dirt and he probably smells so bad. he’s the coolest man alive and is so casual about it. his number one skill is Knowing Where They Are and his number two skill is Having A Horrible Destiny That Torments Him. tolkien got it in one i’m afraid aragorn son of arathorn you are the guy of all time

[ SERIES MASTERLIST ] // [ MAIN MASTERLIST ]
Tumblr media
You like to think of yourself as a reasonable person. You make okay decisions, even though it takes you a few weeks and a thousand debriefs. You can’t buy something off the rack without going through 10-year-old posts on Reddit, and you certainly are very keen with people you let into your life – given your two to three friends.
The point is, while you may be a bit of a klutz, you take your adult life kind of seriously, and especially your relationships.
You were so sure that what happened back at the motel with Jungkook when you were stranded was going to be this whole… one-time-thing. That you both were just horny, stuck in a weird situation, just heat-of-the-moment lapse in judgment, and afterwards he would tell you to forget about it. And if he did, you’d accept it. It might crush you a little bit inside, but you know you’ll be fine to keep going on with your life even though that might have been the best orgasm you’ve had since forever and you’d like to experience it again.
What surprised you the most wasn’t that it happened. It was how you felt the next morning.
There was no regret.
When you opened your eyes – bleary and barely awake because of the little hours you got in – Jungkook wasn’t in bed. He was coming back through the door with a bag of pastries and coffee from what you assumed was the local bakery. He told you everything was handled, his car and your stuff, and you could take your time getting ready. You’d head back once you were set.
You fell asleep again on the ride home. Jungkook walked you to your apartment and bid you a kind smile when you said goodbye.
And nothing happened after. No awkward texts. No slow fade. And you were just so ready for the worst thing to happen. Like him suddenly going MIA on you or something…
But now it’s the day after, and you’re together again in his car after he texted you to ride with him on the way home after work – cramped up in the driver’s seat with you on his lap.
Frantically making out.
“Oh,” you let out a soft moan, carding your fingers through Jungkook’s hair, not even caring about how you’re messing up his hairdo.
A needy, impatient sort of heat builds between you two. His mouth is on yours, hands exploring like he couldn’t decide where to start. Another moan slips out from you he cups the swell of your ass through your trousers, and a rush of frustration bubbles up in your chest.
God, why didn’t you wear a skirt?
“You smell good,” Jungkook murmurs into your neck, kissing a slow trail up to your jaw before groaning as you rock against him, grinding against the growing bulge pressing up through his slacks.
“Y-yeah?” you mumble, tugging at his tie and popping open the first three buttons of his shirt. Your fingers graze his chest, warm and solid and stupidly inviting.
“This is the scent you wore back at the party.” He untucks your blouse from your waistband, his warm hands sending shivers down your spine when they travel across the span of your back.
Yeah. And also the scent you exclusively use for special, big occasions. Because in the true broke girl tradition, there’s always that unreasonably priced perfume you keep in your vanity while you spritz the hell out of the cheap one. You’ve only used it a total of ten times ever since you bought it a month ago, the eleventh time being now… which is just a regular day in the office.
But being in Jungkook’s lap and making out with him in his car is not regular day in the office. So maybe you lucked out on spraying that expensive perfume – totally because it was just there on your vanity, by the way – and not because you were expecting something to happen today.
Totally.
“Uh, yeah,” you shift on his lap. “It was on sale.”
Which is probably information he did not need and a total bald-faced lie.
He hums, kisses dropping down to your sternum, hands getting heavier under your clothes. You take his face in your hands again to press your mouth on him, your moan getting swallowed by his eager reciprocity, both in the movement of his tongue inside your mouth and his erection that’s making you wet your panties as you rock your hips against him.
Jungkook’s fingers trace the cups of your bra. “Can I?” He asks, mouth agape. You don’t even know what he meant, you just nod. A second later and he’s squeezing your breasts in his palms.
“S-so you wanted to drive me home for this?” you arch your brow at him playfully, grinding against his lap and relishing in the warmth of his hands on your chest. God, you wish he’d do something about your bra soon.
Jungkook chuckles, nipping your jaw. “No. I wanted to ask you to come over to my place to have dinner.”
As if that triggered your intestines, your stomach suddenly growls – quite loudly in the confined space of his car and around the quiet parking lot of the building.
Jungkook freezes, staring at you.
You shut your eyes close in embarrassment, groaning. “Ugh, sorry. I haven’t eaten at all today and you mentioning dinner is making me remember that.”
“Oh…”
Jungkook reluctantly watches you as you carefully leave his lap, completely halting your previous activity. He grips your hand as he helps you transfer to the passenger’s seat, looking at you as you put your hair up and tuck your shirt.
He adjusts uncomfortably in his seat, clearing his throat. You can’t help but eye the very obvious outline of his dick in his pants, and it’s very huge, alright, making you grin.
“I hope that’s not gonna be a problem.”
Jungkook takes in the mischief in your eyes and scoffs playfully, shaking his head as he starts the ignition to drive.
Tumblr media
You spend about thirty minutes in the shower – which is definitely not at all your usual routine – but it did the job. You smell like raspberries now, and the outfit you pulled on afterwards looks casual enough for Jungkook not to suspect what’s going on underneath. Just an oversized shirt and pajama pants. Innocent. Normal.
But you have on a lacy pair of white thong… just in case something does happen tonight. At least you’re the least bit prepared…
When you look at your phone, it’s already 10:15pm, and Jungkook told you to be over at his place at 10:20. You check yourself in the mirror one last time and head straight to the kitchen where you grab the plastic container of a batch of choco-chip cookies you baked the second he dropped you off earlier.
You’ve perfected the recipe now, you’re sure of it.
But just as you make a beeline for your door, a sudden warmth gushes between your thighs.
An all too familiar feeling by now.
Oh no.
You dash to the bathroom, tug your pajama pants down, slide off your panties and – yep. There it is. A bright red stain against the flimsy white fabric that went right through the pants.
“Goddamn it,” you mutter, frowning. Of all the nights to get your period, of course it had to be this one.
You had showered. Prepped. Put on the g-string. And you were this close to maybe – possibly – having sex with Jungkook. You hadn’t said anything about it, not outright, but come on. That impulsive make-out session in the car earlier? The way he kept adjusting himself? The tension practically humming between you?
Yeah, something was definitely going to happen.
Well, probably not anymore.
Grumbling, you toss your pants into the laundry and rummage through your cabinet for a pad. You move like you’re trudging through emotional mud, begrudgingly pulling on a clean pair of a less sexier granny panties and fresh bottoms.
So much for that.
It’s not like you had any of this figured out anyway. No “so, what happened” talk, no conversations about the night at the motel or whatever is… happening now. And now your uterus has decided to sabotage you. Amazing.
Still, cookies in hand and spirits only mildly deflated, you head out of your apartment and make your way to Jungkook’s porch.
He opens the door on the second buzz, greeting you with a grin that makes your stomach flip. Even more so when you realize he’s wearing sweatpants. Grey sweatpants. Ugh. This man.
“Hi.”
“Hey, come in,” Jungkook says, eyeing the plastic in your hand. “What’s that?”
“Cookies.” you bring it up to your chest. “I made them real quick so it’s not a lot. But I can assure you it’s better now and you definitely won’t get food poison.”
He chuckles, leading the way to his living area. “You say that as if I got food poisoning the first time.”
“Maybe you did and you just didn’t tell me.”
He shakes his head, still smiling. “You know you didn’t have to bring something, right?”
“Uh-huh.,” you mutter, following him in, “but since you’re making dinner, I thought I could take care of dessert.”
The moment the words leave your mouth, your face scrunch up.
Jungkook pauses just long enough to glance back at you, amused, before shaking his head again with another soft laugh.
What? What did he think you meant by that? Geez…
Tumblr media
Comfortable silence settles between you, the soft clinking of wine glasses and the distant narration of some random BBC documentary filling the space. You teased Jungkook again about his massive TV – said the faces look so big that it’s just kind of funny – but really, it’s kind of cute the way his ears flush red when he gets shy talking about his stuff.
You talk. About work, mostly. Jungkook’s been pulling longer shifts, taking on more than usual. You tell him about your days have been the same lately, just mindless repetition. He compliments the cookies you brought, and after a bit of coaxing, admits the first batch you made for him weeks ago were kind of bad. You laugh and pretend to be offended.
It was nice.
Somehow, you talk about everything and nothing. Not once either of you mentioned the motel. Not the kiss in the parking lot. Not even a vague nod to the tension that’s been following you around like a ghost.
And maybe that’s the problem.
It feels like Jungkook’s waiting for you to jump the gun first. But how the hell are you supposed to do that? How do you casually bring up the fact that he kissed you like he meant it? How exactly are you going to talk about the night you shared a kiss with the man you think you’ve liked for so many weeks now? How are you going to talk about how he made you orgasm to sleep because it was the best you've ever had since and it was so much better than the scenarios you’ve made up in your head? And god, those scenarios didn’t even live up to the very real thing.
You want to bring it up. God, you need to. Not because you’re hopeful that this night would lead to something – but because you just need to know if he would want to do that again sometime.
But something in you is scared that Jungkook will suddenly speak up and tell you the night was a mistake and you both should get over it.
But you also know that kiss in the parking lot must’ve meant something. The way you just jumped at each other like you weren't in a public space and Jungkook not minding one bit must’ve meant that he wanted it too.
That maybe, just like you, he can’t help but notice the thick tension up in the air as you sit on the couch so close to each other, his familiar scent overwhelming your senses, and the way he looks so cozy in his white shirt and… grey sweatpants. Ugh. You swear you weren’t going to pay any attention to it as soon as he opened that door, but how could you not when he just looks way too effortlessly good and you know exactly what it's hiding–
“You want some more?”
Your thoughts are cut short when Jungkook suddenly speaks, looking at your wine glass.
“Uh…” you glance at the clock. “No, I should probably get going. It’s almost 11. I have work tomorrow– we have work tomorrow,” you chuckle awkwardly, glancing at the wall clock across the room.
Just like that, you go back to your shell again, overwhelmed by your anxiety and fear of rejection.
But for a brief second, Jungkook looks disappointed by your response, although he’s quick to wipe that off with a smile.
“Okay. I’ll walk you out.”
Okay. Well maybe you didn’t really want him to say that at all.
Hiding your disappointment this time, you stand up from the seat and let Jungkook talk you into leaving the wine glasses on the coffee table as opposed to bringing it to the kitchen yourself, as Jungkook insisted he’ll take care of it once you leave.
Jungkook’s hand lingers on your lower back as you stand by his door, ready to say goodbye.
“Thanks for the dinner.” you say quietly.
“You’re welcome,” Jungkook smiles. “We can do this again sometime.”
“Sure. Why not?”
“Alright. See you tomorrow, then?”
You halt your steps, lips curling into a half-smile. “That flatters me.”
Jungkook leans on the doorframe, crossing his arms across his chest. “I was hoping so.”
You bite back a grin, nod, turning to leave. But…
“__—”
“Jungkook—”
Your head snaps quickly to his direction, and you both stare at each other in surprise. Jungkook’s gaze melts into a soft look.
“You first.”
“No, you first.”
“___,” he says with a chuckle, coaxing.
You take a deep breath, bracing yourself.
Just take the chance, something in your head tells you.
And you took the bait.
“This is going to sound incredibly stupid,” you start, voice low and hesitant. “but what happened back at the motel — I’m not sure if we’re allowed to talk about that again — but we kind of kissed this afternoon and I… I don’t know what that meant. I guess what I’m trying to say is… I wanna do it again sometime. If you’re willing,” you voice wavers, trying to look into his eyes but the weight of your words crawl deep in your skin it makes you scared to even make eye contact. “But if you’re not, then that’s totally fine. We can forget it happened.”
Silence stretched for a beat too long. Panic starts to rise in your chest – until Jungkook steps forward.
“If I’m willing?” He echoes, blinking like he’s not sure he heard you right.
You nod, wary. “Y-yeah…?”
He steps closer, and your breath catches.
“Do you know how much I’ve thought about you since then?” He takes a tentative touch to your hips, and when you don’t say a thing or make a move to pry him off, Jungkook takes a hold of you to pull you closer, making you gasp quietly. “Everytime I close my eyes, all I can think about is how I’ve held these hips as I licked you, kissed you, and touched you. I’ve never been one to give in to my wants as easy as the way you made me when we walked back to my car this afternoon because all I wanted to do was to have a taste of you again, even though I would’ve liked for us to talk first. That means I can’t have enough,” Jungkook studies your face as he leans down, gaze so full of want, but there’s a certain control under his hold. It makes your breath hitch.
“And you want to know if I’m willing?” Jungkook tacks on, lifting his hand to caress your cheek, gaze dropping from your eyes to your lips. You anticipate his next words, but when he presses you closer – that’s when you feel it. The hard-on he’s sporting under the grey sweatpants you’ve been fantasizing about ever since you walked in on his apartment.
“Oh…” you gasp, reaching for his shoulder as you feel your knees slightly buckling.
Then, Jungkook chuckles, amused. But it’s dark and rich, and his boner is still very much pressing to your stomach.
In the heat of the moment, you stand on your tippy toes and kiss Jungkook.
He seems to be surprised at it first, but his arms slowly make their way around you to hold you as you tighten yours around his neck, letting out a soft moan when his tongue prods in.
You stumble inside, Jungkook walking you back inside his apartment all the while not breaking the kiss, and the next thing you know, he’s kicking off the door shut, hands travelling down to your legs to carry you across his apartment.
You yelp at the sudden way your feet get lifted off the ground, but Jungkook carries you with a certain grace as if you’re nothing but paperweight – hot tongue swirling around your mouth like kissing you was a lifeline.
He lays you down gently on the couch, trailing kisses along your jaw. When you grab at the hem of his shirt, he sits back to quickly rid himself off the material.
You bite on your bottom lip as soon as you see what’s on display. Wide chest, narrow waist, toned abdomen, and sculpted arms with ink. You would’ve liked to admire it more but Jungkook quickly goes back to kissing you after taking off his shirt, hands roaming all over your body as if he can’t quite decide where to put it at all. Then, he kneels in between your spread legs, slowly settling himself down on the floorboards. You watch with half-lidded eyes as his lips leave trail kisses down your neck to your sternum, until his hands slide your top off your stomach, kissing the exposed skin.
Your hands settle on his soft locks, where you admire the way he moves down your body, huge hands splayed on your skin, making you ache in between your legs.
Your eyes blow out as you remember exactly what’s in between your legs.
Fuck.
Before Jungkook can kiss you there, you grab at his shoulders. “Jungkook,”
He looks up quickly, fringe going in different directions, biceps unconsciously flexing at your touch. “Hm?”
Even though it pains you, you tell him, “We can’t tonight…”
“Ah, that’s alright,” He looks up at you in genuine concern. “You’re not feeling okay tonight?”
You shake your head. “No… that’s not it,” You make a face, feeling annoyed all over again. God. Hot sex was on the table. And your period just ruined it. “I got my period. My cycle usually starts at the end of the month.”
Jungkook nods in realization, squeezing your hips in understanding.
“Sorry, then. Should I get you something? I think I may have ice cream in the fridge.” He raises a brow, eyes drifting off to his kitchen.
You take his cheek, grabbing his jaw gently to make him look at you.
“Actually… I was thinking we don’t have to stop.”
His eyes may have lightened up, and Jungkook takes your wrist to press a kiss to the side of your hand.
“Yeah, I don’t really mind as long as you’re comfortable with it. We’ll put on a towel— okay, I can see on your face that’s not what you meant.”
“No…? I was thinking I’ll give you a blowjob instead.”
“Ah…” Jungkook nods again. “Are you sure? Don’t you have cramps?”
You chuckle. “Not yet. It’ll kick in on the second day,” You nudge him with your foot. “Come on up here.”
“You’re sure? We don’t need to do anything, baby,”
Baby. God. That nickname had always been so generic but there’s something about the way it rolls off Jungkook's tongue.
“I’m sure.”
Jungkook gives you one of his million dollar smiles and kisses his way back up until your lips meet again.
“Can I?” You nod when Jungkook tugs at your shirt. With your permission, he slides your top off, hissing at the sight of your bra-cladded chest.
He goes down to lick your nipple through the material, and you grab his hair when you feel him give you a slightly harsh nip. He licks it again, as if offering some sort of silent apology.
When he pulls the cups down, that’s when you push him to the side making him fall to the couch, and you take that time to kneel down this time in between his spread legs.
“Put this on your knees first.” Jungkook hands you the throw pillow on the couch. You take them and fluff them under your knees, and when you finish doing that, you attend to Jungkook’s very taunting grey sweatpants, tugging it off him. He helps you slide the pants off together with his boxers – and you have to fight the urge to take it slow when his hard cock springs free.
You’ve seen it before, have held it – but those moments felt so brief that they almost didn’t feel real. So when you see it up-close, so girthy and standing tall against his abdomen with the angry red tip slightly leaking, your breath gets caught up in your throat.
“Fuck,” Jungkook lets out a low groan when you begin teasing kisses to his thighs.
His gorgeous, thick thighs.
God… you wonder how it would tense up with your feet resting on them as you bounce up and down on his huge cock.
But you watch the way they clench when your lips get nearer to where he aches; watch as they tense under your touch when you place your hands there. And you watch Jungkook – most especially – as he looks down at you with hooded eyes, dark with want, his chest heaving under the tension.
“Is this what you want?” You ask, blinking at him meekly. His mouth opens to speak, but you don’t let him say another word as you let a glob of saliva fall down to the crown of his cock. You adjust your position in between his thighs, getting more comfortable but also pushing your ass out as you wrap your hand around the base.
Jungkook hisses when you twist your hand, gingerly spreading the wetness of your saliva around him. He lets his back fall to the back of the couch with a light thud, and you smirk when you see his abs clench.
“You’re killing me here, __. Don’t tease.”
You give him a non-committal hum. You meant to tease, but touching him like this feels like all your thoughts have suddenly gone to mush, and you’re left with only want – the want to pleasure him, to get him to let out those little huffs and grunts like when you two kissed…
You languidly move your hand around his shaft, humming at the way his tip oozes out more wetness which makes it easier for you to stroke him. You can’t help but watch in fascination as he seems to continue to grow around you. So hard and veiny… almost needy, the way he breathes heavily above you.
“Baby, fuck… you’re so pretty, god—” Jungkook’s words get cut off when you lean down to close your lips around the head, sucking at the softer tip before you take more of his length. “F-fuck…” Jungkook rasps, fingers gathering your hair in a makeshift ponytail when you start bobbing your head up and down.
He feels big. Warm. But you smile to yourself when Jungkook shifts on the couch at the sensation. It felt good to have him squirming like that beneath your touch, to have him keening like this.
Gripping the base, you twist your fingers around the remaining length you couldn’t put in your mouth, jacking him off. From there, you start picking up your pace until Jungkook’s a panting mess. You’ve never pegged him as the type to be so… vocal. But it felt good, and at this point, you just want to see him let go of himself, even as he grips your hair tighter by every second that passes. It didn’t hurt enough to be uncomfortable, the force was just right – and it felt like he’s holding on to every muscle of his to not use too much force on your head by the way you can feel his other hand hovering over your hair.
“Ah, __… baby, shit. Yeah, you’re taking my cock so well– shit…”
You pump him faster, and every now and then, you would suck at the tip gingerly, kiss the veins around his rock hard dick, roam with your tongue, and test the waters and massage his balls. Soft groans escape past his lips, hips arching off the couch.
“Shit— baby, fuck,”
You hum, pleased with that. Your tongue teases the underside of his cock with every downstroke, just to hear him swear. You lick off the glistening juice off the head, lick around the ridge, and tighten your grip around the base, sinking your mouth up and down faster.
“God, your mouth is–aghh– Jesus fuck baby I’m gonna–”
You slurp noisily around his cock as you try to take him deeper – and at one point you actually feel him hitting the back of your throat but you were careful enough to adjust your angle and continue to suck him up and down. Jungkook’s gasps increase in speed and pitch, and you can feel him trying to get you off him when he tries to pull your face away from his lap.
“Baby, you gotta–”
But you don’t even let him finish that thought when you grip his thigh with your other hand, sucking his head that gets him keening again.
“Shit, shit, shit __ I’m going to– f-fuuuck,”
Jungkook shoots his hot cum in your mouth, and you didn’t really expect it to be so… much. The first wave felt heavy, but as his thighs spasm, his dick continues to squirt some more, and you open your mouth to catch them all.
“Fuck.”
You pull back with a wet pop, opening your eyes to meet Jungkook’s stare. Your fingers are still around his length when you lick around your lips, noting the way his eyes darken at the sight of you in front of him like this – kneeling in between his legs and licking his cum.
His chest heaves up and down, and he looks like he was about to say something when you suddenly slack your jaw to present your mouth to him – your mouth that’s now painted white with his cum. He watches you carefully as you close your eyes and swallow.
“Jesus.”
“Didn’t know you were religious like that.” you say as soon as everything’s gone in your mouth, giving him a cheeky smile. It’s a bit salty, not terrible, though you kind of expected that.
When you look at Jungkook, his mouth opens and closes like fish in water. You beat him to it when you rise, crawling up on his chest to press your lips to his.
You realize he might be one of those guys who didn't like it very much when their partners kissed them on the mouth right after giving them a blowjob – but Jungkook only slides his arm around your waist, deepening the kiss, dipping his tongue in your mouth until you’re settled on his lap again.
“You’re a fucking dream.” Jungkook says before kissing you again.
You giggle in his mouth, pushing him away slightly. His eyebrows knit in confusion, but he doesn't really look like he’s processing anything.
“You know I realized something about you,” you plant a sweet kiss on the side of his lips. “You don’t cuss at all, but you do it a lot during sex.”
Jungkook’s expression contorts into a frown, as if that was news to him. “Do I?”
You chuckle. “Yeah.”
“I didn’t know that–” then as if cutting off his own thoughts, he dives in for a kiss again. He pulls away for a second, caressing your cheek and thumbing your jaw before staring at you. “God, you’re gorgeous. Pretty girl.”
“Thanks.”
“I think my brain’s broken right now. I don’t have coherent thoughts.”
That makes you laugh. You pat his chest and notice the way Jungkook reluctantly lets you get off his lap, watching with hooded eyes as you rise to your feet.
“Well, I’ll have to get going. It’s—” you glance at the wall clock. “almost 12.”
Jungkook takes your wrist, and you have to be very brave to not look at his lap because he still hasn’t pulled up his pants yet and his dick is still very much on display. And you weren’t really kidding about having to go because you do have an early day tomorrow.
“Do you really have to go?”
You pout. “I have to.”
He sighs as if that disappointed him. “Okay… let me walk you out.”
Jungkook – finally – pulls his pants up, brushing his fingers through his hair as he rises to his feet. He doesn’t bother putting on his shirt, though, and you don’t comment on it, figuring he’d stay inside anyway.
But when you see him slipping into his slides to follow you out, you press a hand lightly to his bare abdomen and laugh. “Hey, it’s literally, like five steps away. Go back inside.”
He pauses, brows furrowing in slight confusion before glancing down at himself. “Let me just grab my shirt, then—”
That makes you giggle. “Brain still broken?”
“I think so…” he trails off then looks at you. “Hey, come here,” he doesn’t wait for you to do so though, just reaches for you to pull you by the waist, pressing you close to him. He leans down and gives you a slow kiss. You could actually feel air being taken away from you when he pulls away, his smile as gentle as the hand that rubs your back. “Thank you, and good night. See you tomorrow?”
You nod, feeling your cheeks flush.
“Okay. Night. And see you tomorrow.”
With a small wave, you turn toward your apartment, not daring to glance back as you head to the door. But you can feel his gaze on you, watching as you slip inside.
It felt like Jungkook wanted you to stay longer…
But the ache in between your thighs was starting to get uncomfortable, and honestly, you really needed to change your pad.
Because the wetness there? Yeah, it definitely wasn’t just your period.
Tumblr media
“So… is my laptop dying or…?”
“For the third time; no, your laptop is not dying,” Jungkook gives you a playful shake of his head. “It’s just laggy because you watch a lot of porn on it and you turned off your antivirus for some reason.”
You gasp. A dramatic one.
You give Jungkook a scandalous look before sitting down on the couch with him, peeking over what he’s doing on your device. Frankly, you don’t like it when people touch your things – especially your gadgets – because you had a lot of private stuff in them. But thirty minutes ago, your laptop randomly shut down while you had been doing some excel spreadsheets. In a weird coincidence, Jungkook called you the same time it happened. So you told him about it, and he offered to swing by and take a look. He was a tech guy, after all… and anyway, getting it fixed at some shop would have been expensive.
“I don’t watch porn!” you protest, glaring at him.
Jungkook just blinks at you, looking unconvinced. Then he shrugs. “Okay.”
“And what do you mean antivirus? I don’t even know I have one,” you mumble, placing the bowl of freshly cut watermelon on the coffee table. You fold your legs underneath you and inch closer to see what he’s actually doing. He’s been at it for a few minutes now, but all you see are lines of text and windows you can’t even pretend to understand.
“Yes, you do. And you did turn it off,” he says, gesturing at the screen. It’s full of stuff that might as well be in a foreign language. “These are malware. See this? Classic spyware script. You probably clicked on one of those fake play buttons with a hot singles ad or something.”
You give him a baleful look. He snorts.
“You’re not funny. And I watch porn on twitter like a normal person– okay sometimes maybe I do watch on shady websites but why do you even know that? And why are you interested in my porn.”
“You watch porn on twitter?”
“Mostly, yeah.”
“Hm. Interesting,” he nods and turns to the screen again. “Well, I wanna know what you like.”
You almost fall off the sofa. “Like you want me to give you a list of porn accounts?”
Jungkook actually laughs at that. “What? No. I mean, I'm interested in the porn you like.”
Oh.
“Uhm, I don’t particularly like anything,” you say, although maybe you immediately think of those videos where the woman is on the guy’s lap and he fingers her hard in front of the camera – but other than that, not really. You aren’t some freakazoid about porn. Most of the time, you were fine getting off with pure imagination. “I don’t like BDSM though, I think.”
Jungkook nods, but his eyes are not really on you and instead focused on your laptop as he does things. “Hmm.”
Your head snaps in his direction. “What do you mean, hmm?”
Jungkook meets your stare. “What?”
You study his face, narrowing your eyes. But he just looks at you in confusion, although there’s a little smile tugging at his lips. You drop it anyway, reaching for the watermelon cuts on the coffee table and start eating them as you watch whatever magic Jungkook is doing on your device.
“Anyway, I pirate a lot of movies so there’s that.” You thought that would be helpful to share. Those sites do have a lot of those pop-up ads, and you’d really rather endure that than have some big fuckass streaming corporation steal from you every month.
“I know, I’m just teasing about the porn websites,” Jungkook chuckles when you glare at him. “I could share my streaming accounts with you. I think I have everything.”
Your eyes light up almost instantly, but then you manage to catch yourself.
“Uh, no, you don’t really need to do that…”
He hums, goes back to your laptop. You don’t think about it too much when you pick up a watermelon and hover it over his mouth. Jungkook doesn’t hesitate to eat it off your finger, and you don’t  expect the way he sucks the juices off, tongue swirling around your digit while looking into your eyes. It feels like the whole moment took a minute, but in reality it was really only a few seconds, and Jungkook’s back to doing his thing on your laptop.
Oh.
Oh… okay. Well.
You feel the blood rush to your cheeks as you drop your hand to your side, absentmindedly eating your watermelon bites.
Ugh. When will your period end?! Given, it’s only really day two, and you probably have two or three more days to go but ugh…
Your thoughts are interrupted when Jungkook suddenly speaks, rising to his feet.
“All done. I installed a better antivirus, and I logged in my streaming accounts so you don’t get malware again. Also turned off some useless background programs because you had too many running– and I recovered your excel file,” he says, and you give him a grateful smile as you take your laptop and bring it to your chest like it’s your baby. Jungkook chuckles at the sight. “I have to go to the toilet, though. Want to order in and watch something when I’m back?”
“Yeah, sure! Toilet’s over there,” you point to the far right direction of the apartment and watch Jungkook disappear into view to enter the bathroom.
You’re hacking away on your laptop when a phone starts buzzing on the coffee table.
Jungkook’s phone.
You hesitate. You don’t want to knock on the bathroom door just to hand it to him, but you don’t feel right ignoring it either.
The buzzing stops, and you feel relieved for all of one second when it suddenly starts again.
You lean slightly over – not really reaching, just peeking – to see who it is. What if it’s work? What if it’s important? You could tell him about it when he comes back…
The screen lights up with a name: Dad.
You gasp. Just a little.
The bathroom door creaks open behind you and you straighten up like you weren’t doing anything. Jungkook walks out, toweling his hands on his jeans.
“Oh, hey, someone's calling you.”
He gives you a curious look before he crosses the room. You try not to watch too closely as he picks up his phone, but you see it; the way his brows knit together, the way his stance and tone shift when he looks back at you.
“I need to take this real quick” He gestures to the phone. You nod.
He walks far enough that you can’t really make out the conversation, but when you take a peek to look at him, he looks so serious. You’ve only ever seen serious Jungkook when he was at work.
A few seconds later, he returns – apologetic eyes, hand rubbing the back of his neck.
“Hey, I got called into work just now. I’m sorry we can’t have dinner tonight.”
Oh, so you were right! It was a work thing. Still… you wonder why his dad was the one calling.
“No, it’s fine! It must be super important,” you say quickly. “Maybe we can have dinner tomorrow instead?” You say, smiling up at him brightly.
Jungkook breaks into a smile. Then, out of nowhere, he steps closer and leans down to press a kiss to your lips.
You’ve been doing a lot of that lately. Kissing, that is. Just this morning, he drove you to work and you made out before he even started the engine. Then later. After parking, his hands wandered a little too much before you swatted him off, gently reminding him that your breasts were feeling tender from your period.
“I’ll see you tomorrow.”
Then just like that, Jungkook makes his way out of the apartment, and you don’t even know that you’ve been smiling like crazy until the black screen of your laptop catches your silly expression.
Tumblr media
You miss Jungkook.
Okay— well. It’s just been two days, really. Well, more like today is day two. So it’s actually just been a full day. But there were no texts yesterday, and there were certainly no calls either. You haven’t seen him come out of his apartment, and you hate that you’re starting to worry.
You were debating whether to send him a message or not when suddenly, your doorbell rings. You weren’t expecting any visitors, especially not today when it was still so early in the morning and you have to go to work soon! But maybe it was your landlord, complaining about something again…
You groan at that, snatching your bag from the counter, planning to head straight to work after dealing with whoever it is. You slide your shoes on, ready for that condescending landlord tone only to freeze when you open the door.
“Jungkook,” you gasp, acting like you’ve just seen a ghost. And he seems to think so as well, cocking his head to the side at the unusual greeting. “You’re here.” you blurt out.
“Yeah, I went back to my place last night but only for awhile. We launched a system yesterday and something broke in production. QA didn’t catch it, so now we had to roll it—” as if he thought he was sparing you with some boring talk, he cuts himself off and smiles at you instead. “I had to work overtime. I’m sorry I missed dinner last night.”
“Eh, don’t worry. It’s not that serious. I know you're extra busy these days. Anyway, are you on the way to work?” Jungkook nods. “We should go together, then.”
“I was just going to say that.”
You step out of your apartment, and Jungkook waits for you to lock up before you both walk side by side down the stairs. You don’t know why but somehow, having seen him today and walking with him to his car where you’re gonna be riding in together to go to work was giving you a sense of contentment that you missed yesterday. Okay, so maybe this was a thing that was starting to grow on you. And maybe being with Jungkook genuinely makes you feel happy – giddy, for the most part. But it felt silly to have missed him when it was only really a day…
But you didn’t really want to dwell on that. It wasn’t Jungkook’s obligation to drive you to work everyday, and you certainly aren’t entitled to his undivided attention when you know exactly just how hectic his work schedule is. You couldn’t ask him to make time for you, even though you would like that.
“Oh!” Jungkook startles beside you when you suddenly halt. You look at him, wide-eyed. “Jungkook, it’s September first today!”
Jungkook checks his phone, brows furrowed. “Yes…?”
You eye him incredulously. “It’s your birthday!”
At first, the words didn’t seem to register, but Jungkook slowly nods. “Ah yeah, it’s my birthday today.”
“Why do you sound so unexcited?” You pout.
He chuckles, stepping closer to brush away a stray of hair you hadn’t even noticed had fallen across your face.
“Baby, it’s just another day.”
You feeze at the word. It’s the first time he called you that outside of you two… fooling around. It slips naturally from his mouth in that situation, but hearing it in this very non-sexual context was kind of throwing you off-balance – because this moment wasn’t supposed to feel intimate. Not like that, anyway.
Looking away, you say, “Still. You should do something to celebrate. Oh! I think… oh…” your eyes widen at the thought of throwing him a mini-party tonight. Obviously, Jungkook doesn't make a big deal of his birthdays, based on his response. But you thought about baking him a cake. And cookies! He liked the cookies you made last time! And you were practicing cakes these days so maybe it’d be nice to make him a small one. You turn to him with hopeful eyes. “Are you free tonight?”
Jungkook hesitates, but he smiles down at you. “Yeah, I’m free tonight. Why?”
You grin. “You’ll have to come to my place to find out! Oh, it’s gonna be fun. Ugh, I wish we can invite Jimin…”
Tumblr media
You’re honestly proud of yourself for not breaking down when the piping tip you bought turns out to be the wrong one. The blue icing on your apron now looks like abstract art, and there’s enough sugar on your kitchen floor to summon an army of rants.
You just wanted the cake to be perfect. The cookies already were – but the cake, maybe not so much. And it was fine! It tasted fine! But the decorating sucked and at this point you just kind of wish Jungkook would look past the awkward lettering and appreciate the effort behind all these.
You didn’t have much time. He texted you after work that he couldn’t drive you home. He had to stay late, which actually worked out because it gave you the extra time you needed to prepare.
Although for the record, this wasn’t even a real surprise. You just made baked goods. And you cooked some food. And by cook you scratched off the chicken shop’s label and put it in the microwave to heat it up by the time you finished cleaning up your place since Jungkook was gonna be here by 11pm.
Which is why, at 10:40, you rush to the shower.
When you’re done, you step in front of the mirror to check yourself out. You’ve rummaged through your closet and found an old lingerie you don’t remember ever putting on. You remember it as one of those “feel-good” purchases awhile ago.
It’s nothing special, really. Just your usual black lace two-piece. The bra’s light and sheer, made of floral lace with thin straps that sat neatly on your shoulders. There are little pink bows too on them, which kind of made it cute. It didn’t offer much coverage, what with your nipples poking through the fabric – but that seemed to be the point. Meanwhile the panties are just as bold; crotchless, cut daringly open in the center, but softened by the same delicate lace. The set originally had garter straps and thigh-high stockings, but you thought that would be an overkill so you opted out of it.
You cover it up with a casual white dress, spritzing on the La Belle perfume Jungkook always seems to like a little too much.
There, everything’s done. Your period’s gone too, obviously, (day four, thank god) almost as if it knew not to ruin this night for you.
When you head out of your bedroom, you pick your phone up from the kitchen counter to dial Jungkook’s phone.
He usually answers on the first or second ring, but this time, he doesn’t. Wasn’t unusual or anything, given how busy he is… but you do frown when the ringing ends and there’s nothing that comes next but his voicemail.
Your frown deepens. You shift from one foot to the other, glancing at the clock. It’s past eleven now. Fifteen minutes past, to be exact.
Jungkook’s not usually late to things.
You sigh, trudging to one of the chairs in the dining area where you prepared the food and cake for him. You also bought wine and lit up a candle.
You stare at your phone for a solid minute before you pick it up again, deciding to send Jungkook a text.
You [11:16pm]: hey!! are you running late :>
You chose to add the emoticon in the end so the text doesn’t feel too mysterious or broody or serious. Really, you aren’t mad, maybe a little upset now – but maybe Jungkook’s just in the middle of something… what was that again? Someone breaking in production, whatever that meant…
But the clock turns 11:25, and there is still no sign of Jungkook on your phone – and even more so on your door.
You [11:25pm]: are you busy? sorry if im bothering you!
Then on second thought, you added:
You [11:26pm]: oh no pls dont tell me you forgot.. 🙁
Maybe he did forget. You hadn’t reminded him of it when you talked earlier. Did you have to? He said he was free tonight, so you kind of assumed…
You sigh again.
The chicken was turning cold and so was the other food on the table.
You pick up a cookie to nibble on it, thinking of why Jungkook would forget. Or why he wouldn’t text you back or return your call.
At eleven thirty, you stand up from your seat, suddenly feeling so… so silly. Silly about the food. Silly about the cake. Silly about your dress. And most especially, you feel silly about the lingerie that’s hidden underneath.
How silly. To plan all these in expectation of what… Jungkook’s company?
But it was his birthday. And you wanted to throw him a party, thought it would mean something to him, even though it’s not that much. But you did go through a lot of trouble to put this all out… but he also didn’t ask you either. So really, you have no right to feel upset over him not making good on his promise.
Wait, did he promise anything though? No, he didn’t. Not really. He just said he was free tonight. No promises. Maybe his schedule changed again and he needed to work overtime.
You start putting away the food in the fridge, not even having the energy to eat something for dinner. You go back to your room, stripping yourself off and changing into some comfortable pajamas before throwing yourself on the bed.
Still no texts.
It’s 11:42pm when it comes.
You hate how fast your body reaches for your phone to see who it was, lighting up when you see Jungkook (Unit 446) on the caller ID, even more so when you answer it.
“Hey, I got your texts. I’m so sorry, __—”
“It’s fine!” you nibble on your bottom lip as you try to contain your excitement. “Are you coming soon?”
“I– no, ba—” you flinch involuntarily when you hear him cut himself off. You were so sure he was going to call you baby, but he corrected himself quickly. “You remember the thing I mentioned this morning? The rollback didn’t go as planned. I’m working overtime tonight again so I can’t really go…”
“Oh…”
“Did you plan something? It’s just my birthday, __. Maybe we can go somewhere tomorrow?” Jungkook chuckles on the other end of the line, and for the first time it didn’t make you feel giddy or whatever.
You pick on the bed sheet before answering. “Uh, no. It’s not anything big, actually. I just made you some cookies. And ordered some food. But anyway I just ate dinner first because you took so long,” the lie rolls off your tongue easier than you expected. His laugh made you feel shitty. You know he didn’t mean anything by it – but it just made you feel so… so unimportant.
And suddenly, you want to downplay the whole thing. Because clearly, he thinks it’s no big deal.
“Hey, are you upset?” His tone shifts — gentler now.
“Ah, no. Sorry. I’m so tired and sleepy,” you fake a yawn and snuggle on the bed. “Maybe we can talk tomorrow when you’re here?”
Tomorrow is now your least favorite word. You’ve heard it too many times from him lately.
Jungkook doesn’t say anything for a few seconds.
Then you hear him sigh.
“I’m sorry again, I swear I’ll make it up to you.”
“No need to!” you tell him, making sure to say that as cheerfully as possible. Jungkook doesn’t need to. It’s not like you were dating or something for you to be upset over him bailing on you. “Really, it’s fine. Hey, I’m really, really sleepy now. Good night?”
“Okay, sorry. Sleep well, __. Tomorrow, okay?”
You hum, not sure if you believe that. Maybe tomorrow he’s going to have to do overtime again. Maybe tomorrow he won’t be here again.
Whatever.
It wasn’t a big deal.
You end the call, but before you can drop your phone onto the nightstand, you type out one last message.
You [11:45pm]: happy birthday!
Tumblr media
You didn’t get much sleep last night. Not like your body clock has ever been particularly reliable,
This morning, you didn’t really think that much about it when you put the cake in a container and dropped it off at Jungkook’s door on your way down the stairs. You figured you could’ve eaten it, but you made it for him and anyway… it was his birthday and you still think he deserves a cake. He didn’t exactly seem like he was celebrating last night.
You took the bus to work. Nothing unusual, nothing exciting. Just another day dragging your limbs through the same monotonous rhythm. Your brain feels like it’s moving on autopilot by the time you tap your company ID at the building entrance and wait in line for the elevator.
Slipping inside, you wedge yourself into a spare corner, arms crossed as the lift fills and empties floor by floor. Eventually, it’s just you and one other woman left. She steps out when the elevator dings, cradling her phone against her shoulder as she barks something stressed into the line.
Instinctively, you lean forward and press the hold button, stepping onto the side when you take notice of someone going in, only to realize it was Jungkook.
It’s funny, really. Somehow, he only ever seems to appear when he’s the last person you’re ready to see.
“Oh– good morning, Mr. Jeon,” you say, dipping your head in a polite little nod. The words sound awkward even to your own ears, stiff. You’ve never had to think about how to interact with him in the workplace.
Judging by the slight flicker on Jungkook’s face, he thinks it sounds weird too. But he recovers quickly, offering a faint smile as he steps in.
You return his smile, just as polite, and inch a little further to the side – so far that your back nearly presses to the elevator wall, creating an unnecessary gap between you.
The silence is noticeable. Tense, but it’s civil at least. You glance at the floor numbers blinking overhead, half-hoping this ride doesn’t last long.
Then Jungkook shifts in your periphery.
“Hey, about last night—”
The elevator dings.
It’s your floor.
You step out quickly, almost too quickly, heart tapping a little faster than it should.
You don’t look back.
Tumblr media
You didn’t expect to get a text from Jungkook that night.
Jungkook (Unit 446) [9:37pm]: Do you wanna drive home together?
You made a mental note to give him a reply but it’s thirty minutes later that you remembered about it.
You [10:11pm]: hey sorry I just got home
Jungkook (Unit 446) [10:14pm]: Okay Jungkook (Unit 446) [10:14pm]: Please come over tonight? I’m cooking
You [10:16pm]: i'm not sure if I can You [10:17pm]: i’ll try to. I brought home some work :/
He doesn’t give a reply after that.
And maybe that – weirdly – made you irritated. He’d texted first, and he’d asked you over. You gave a soft no, not even a hard one, and he didn’t even try again? Just left it like that?
You sigh and close the lid of your laptop. For once, you hadn’t lied about being busy with work. It was just a few reports you figured you could finish now to make tomorrow lighter and easier. It was nothing really urgent.
But you do feel sort of guilty about it.
Your door buzzes, and you have second thoughts whether or not you ordered dinner.
When you open the door, it felt like deja vu.
“Jungkook.” you say, blinking.
“Are you still working?” He’s in his work clothes, though the sleeves of his button-up are slightly rolled now. It looks like he just got home not long ago.
You glance at the laptop on the coffee table. “No, I just finished…”
“Okay, then I have a question,” Jungkook steps inside, and you unconsciously take a step back at that, looking at him curiously. He watches you carefully. “Are we okay?”
Caught off guard, you stammer when you say, “I– yeah! Sure, why wouldn’t we be?”
He doesn’t say anything for a beat, then, “You seemed a little off this morning. I thought maybe it was about last night.”
You try to wave it off, suddenly nervous about Jungkook being so straight-forward. Usually, men were so emotionally stunted as you are and never faced their problems head-on.
“No, I mean, it’s fine. You were probably so busy. It wasn’t a big deal.”
“But it did kind of matter.”
You exhale, shifting uncomfortably. “Okay, maybe I was a little upset. But it’s not like I’m mad mad.”
“I figured,” Jungkook says, voice soft. “And I get it if you don’t want to hang out tonight, but I still wanted to try. I know I’ve flaked twice now, but I meant what I said, about making it up to you.”
You shift your weight from one foot to the other. “With food?”
He smiles faintly. “With food. Amongst other things.”
That earns a chuckle from you. You’re not over it – unfortunately – but something about the way he’s standing there, almost cautious, makes it hard to keep your walls all the way up.
“So,” he asks gently. “Will you come?”
Taking a deep breath, you unintentionally look down at your socks.
“Only if there’s wine…” you say softly.
Jungkook’s smile spreads. “There’s wine.”
You sigh and start toeing your slippers off. “If it’s terrible, I’m leaving in five minutes.”
“I can live with that.”
Tumblr media
Inside Jungkook’s place, the lights are unusually dim, the apartment warm with the scent of garlic and something buttery. A jazz record plays at the far corner, and you only noticed then that Jungkook owned a vinyl player – which you kind of didn’t expect – you sort of pegged him as the type to not have time to listen to music.
Meanwhile, he goes straight to the kitchen counter, where you watch him by the stove, plating food like a professional. You realized he had been cooking, and that’s why his tie was a little loose and his hair kind of a muss.
You don’t really know what to say, so you try to break the silence with, “Uhm, wow.”
Jungkook glances at you, mouth lifting at the corner. “I try sometimes.”
The obvious faux humility makes you laugh. You know exactly that he knows you’re impressed by the whole thing.
And you haven’t even eaten his food yet.
Walking in slowly to the dining area, your eyes skim over the table where there are real wine glasses, cloth napkins, and a lit candle.
“So what’s the occasion?” You ask, sitting on the chair, watching Jungkook as he heads towards your direction, bringing in the food he was preparing. You smile up at him. “Guilt?”
He chuckles under his breath, and you’re almost glad that the joke lands.
“Maybe. Also I figured you deserve a proper dinner, made by me. Since someone went out of their way to make me one.”
You hum. “Can’t believe you stood me up on your own birthday.”
He brings the plates over and sits across from you. “I cooked,” he says. “Try it before you decide if I’m forgiven.”
You eye the food, a little surprise at how he mustered up a risotto with seared scallops, and of course perfectly plated. Like he’s just so good at everything he does… wait, did Jungkook go to culinary school? You’re starting to think that.
“You know how to make risotto?”
“I know how to do a lot of things,” he meets her gaze.
Yeah, you know that was a hundred percent true…
You take a bite, careful not to let any expression slip while Jungkook watches closely, not really digging in on his own plate.
And as expected, the risotto’s annoyingly good. You didn’t doubt it from Jungkook, though. Being good at cooking was just one of the many qualities that made him so… so whatever.
“Okay, fine. I’m mildly impressed,” you comment, sipping on the wine to hide the small smile tugging at your mouth. Your very expression contradicts your words, and you know Jungkook can see through you.
He leans back in his chair, obviously satisfied. “Mildly?”
“You still missed your birthday dinner. That knocks off some points.”
He gives you a small smile. “I really didn’t expect it to be a birthday dinner, baby.”
You shrug off the nickname by having more bites of the risotto. You wonder if Jungkook was being deliberate when he said that, or if it was just going to be a thing between you now.
“You didn’t ask… and well, I was going to surprise you.” Now you pout at the memories of last night again. “There was chicken.”
Jungkook looks at you in surprise. “You cooked?”
You eye him. “Yeah, I scratched the tapes off the takeout boxes and put it in the microwave.” Jungkook laughs, the crinkles on the sides of his eyes showing. It makes you smile to see him like that. “Well,” you say eventually, “you’ve redeemed yourself a little.”
Jungkook leans in again, riding along, “Only a little?”
“We’ll see if there’s dessert.”
Jungkook smirks, and you both continue to eat.
After awhile, he glances at you. “You’re not mad,” he says, as if treading softly. “But… you were disappointed, right?”
You shake your head. “No. I just—” You see Jungkook raising a brow. “I just thought it’d be nice. I don’t want to make a big deal about it, it was your birthday! Now I feel bad ‘cause it’s like I’m making this all about me.” you chuckle at the realization.
You look at Jungkook when you realize he’s not really laughing with you.
You flinch a little when his hand reaches out to yours. His thumb caresses your knuckles as he tells you softly, “Hey, I know it would’ve been nice. I’m really sorry I missed it.”
“It’s fine…” it’s a good thing Jungkook lets go immediately.
But you find yourself wanting to share with him that you baked him a cake too. About the lingerie… but that felt stupid now. Wait, did he even get the cake you left at his porch this morning?
As if he read your mind, Jungkook suddenly rises up from his chair.
“Wait a second,” he walks past you, disappearing into the kitchen. He opens the fridge and comes back into view with a single slice of cake.
Your cake. The one you made for him.
You stare. “Is that—?”
“You left it outside my door this morning,” he says, placing it on the table. You blink up at him, mouth slightly open. “I thought I’d save it, you know? In case you ever stopped pretending you didn’t care.”
It felt a little pointed, but with the smile on his face you’re not really sure.
“You really don’t play fair.”
“Not trying to.” he says simply with a small smile before sitting again.
“So. Is this your apology routine? Fancy dinner, smooth jazz, and then hoping I forget you bailed?”
He smiles into his own glass of wine. “If I wanted you to forget, I wouldn’t have brought out the cake.”
You raise a brow. “You brought that out to make a point.”
“I did.”
“You’re kind of smug about it.”
“I’m good at making points,” he says, “Especially when someone keeps insisting nothing’s wrong.”
You frown, somehow not really liking the confirmation that he does think you’re making a big deal about this.
“I said I was fine.”
“You keep saying that,” his voice is quieter now, but a little edged. “But you’ve been smiling like it’s your job since you got here. And I know it’s not real.”
You recoil at that, not expecting to be called out. The sudden shift of the atmosphere is palpable as you lean back on the couch.
“What do you want me to say?” you let out a humorless chuckle. “That I was upset? You hurt my feelings?”
Jungkook’s expression changes, but his voice doesn’t falter. “I wanna know how you feel.”
You look away. “Do you want me to admit that maybe I cared more than I should?”
“I didn’t say that.”
“But you mean it.”
He leans forward, "I mean,” he starts, “that it wasn’t nothing. You made me dinner. You planned something for me. That’s not small. And I want you to know that I want to apologize when I make these mistakes.”
You don’t really think it through when you say, “It’s not like we’re together, Jungkook.”
That makes him pause. You can’t find it in you to take it back, because… it was true, right? The whole thing felt like… like you were a couple in a fight. And you aren’t.
“Still not an excuse.” he says after awhile.
You let out a breath, almost a laugh, frustrated. You wish Jungkook hadn’t brought it up, and you wish you aren’t reacting the way you are right now.
“You know, you didn’t seem bothered about it when we talked on the phone.”
“Because I thought you were okay.”
“Well, surprise,” you flash him a tight smile. “Turns out I’m not as chill as I thought.”
His voice lowers. “I never thought you were chill.” You can’t help but glance at him sharply. “I thought you were trying really hard to seem like you didn’t care, because maybe you thought I might not care back.”
That lands harder than it should, and you feel your throat tighten.
“I should go,” you stand up, not wanting to have any more of this conversation. You wish Jungkook would just drop it. You told him, you were upset – but he’s making a big deal about it.
Jungkook stands up too, stepping closer to you. His height looms over you, but his presence feels calm and collected.
“You could,” he says in that deep voice. “But you won’t.”
You take in a sharp breath when he presses until you can feel the heat of his body. You’re confused about the sudden turn of events, but there’s something about Jungkook right now, his voice dropping low, his gaze… almost as if…
“Oh?” you decide to challenge him, not wanting to waver.
“You stayed. And now you’re standing this close,” he says, gaze dropping to your mouth. “Looking like you want me to make you forget why you were upset in the first place.”
You swallow, suddenly feeling heated in that other way.
“A-and if I do?”
One hand brushes past your hip, and you stand there grounded, unconsciously holding your breath.
“Then you let me.”
You kiss him first – not really sure why and how it happened – but you do, on instinct. Wrapping your arms around his neck and pressing your lips to his. It’s fast, and there’s frustration from you bubbling under, heat blooming behind your ribs like a fuse finally lit.
Jungkook kisses you back harder though, catching you on time – always catching you on time – walking you backwards into the living room where he lays you down on the couch, hovering over you.
His voice is rough against your skin when he breaks away to whisper, “Are you still upset?”
Your hands grip his shirt. “I would be if you don’t continue kissing me.”
That makes him smile, murmuring, “You’re a brat.”
“Do you like it?”
He inhales a sharp breath against your jaw, nipping. “I really do.”
In an instant, his hands were around your waist, your back pressed against the back of the sofa. Your breath hitches when his mouth drops to your ear, making your knees weaken slightly.
“Do you– do you kiss everyone you disappoint like this?” you mutter, hands sliding under his shirt where you feel his abs clench.
“No,” he says, lips peppering kisses down your neck, voice low. It sends shivers down your spine and makes your thighs clench together. “Just the ones who microwave chicken for me.”
It earns a chuckle from you – sharp, breathless – and tug the collar of his shirt, starting to undo his buttons until sculpted chest is revealed. You’re about to pull the material off him when Jungkook catches your wrist.
“Still upset?” he asks.
You click your tongue. “Maybe.”
He grins. “Good.”
He kisses you again. Slow this time, like he knows you’d let him now. And you do. Your fingers dig into his shoulder as he deepens it, tongue brushing yours in a way that makes your head fog over. He tastes like wine and smugness… but you find you like it. Jungkook moves in such a way that screams he knows exactly what he’s doing.
His shirt is off in a second, leaving him in his slacks and belt, mouth moving lower over your throat, your collarbone, until they reach your cleavage made easily accessible with the neckline of your camisole. You arch into the touch without much thinking, and when Jungkook whispers against the peak of your nipple if he could take your shirt off, you nod.
“Sorry, this isn’t my proudest bra ever,” you tell him, fingers slipping through his hair.
Jungkook chuckles. “I’m gonna take it off, anyway.”
He lifts you up effortlessly, squeezing your ass as you yelp but helping you wrap your legs around his waist. Before you can say anything, he shuts up with a searing hot kiss, and you let him carry you to the bedroom with ginger steps, like he’d done it a hundred times before in his head. God, you hope he did just like you do.
You don’t know how exactly it happened but your bra is off the moment he lowers you down on the bed, tugging the cups off your chest and letting his hand take reign on one boob while he licks the other one with his hot tongue, swirling it around your nipple that makes you gasp and shift on the bed.
“Oh, Jungkook…”
Crawling over you, you meet his heavy gaze as he asks, “Are you sure about this?”
If the heat in between your thighs is any more indication of how sure you are, he can check. But you tug him down by the waistband of his slacks to tell him, “I’ve been sure.”
“Just checking, because once we start…” he murmurs, gaze dropping on your lips. As if he can’t help it, he closes his mouth around yours. Then his hand slides down, feathery touch causing goosebumps all over your skin. It stops on your inner thigh where you take a sharp breath because he was so close to where you wanted him to be.
“I want you now,” you say, a bit irritated.
He chuckles, dark. Low. He retracts his hand and smirks when you give him a glare.
“I wanna take my time with you, sweetheart. Don’t rush me.”
To prove his point, he kisses you again – hot and passionate, but also aguishly slow like he’s savoring every brush of your tongue and he has all the time in the world for it.
You’re flushed beneath him, breathless as his hands wander all over your body. He nips the skin of your neck, obviously teasing, leaving goosebumps on his trail. When his hand cups the heat in between your legs, your hips unconsciously buck, your grip on his shoulders tightening at the contact.
“I should’ve come to dinner,” he murmurs, kissing the corner of your mouth.
“Y-yeah,” you manage, “you should’ve.”
“I can’t believe I missed this yesterday.”
You gasp when his thumb presses on your mound, feeling like you’ve been electrocuted by the touch. Jungkook seems to take note of your oversensitivity, as he watches you with your mouth hanging slightly open.
“Don’t worry, baby. I plan to make it up to you real good,” he leans back for a second to tug the waistband of your pants, and you don’t hesitate to lift yourself up a little to help him slide it off your legs together with your panties. You bite your bottom lip as you observe him watching the way the material clings to your pussy at the slickness. A smirk tugs at his lips. “I guess I’ve made you wait too long, didn’t I?”
Your reply dissolves into a sharp inhale as he puts two of his fingers in his mouth and wedges them in between your folds, leaning down to plant a kiss on your parted mouth. His fingers move inside you, curling in slow rhythm, his thumb teasing just enough to keep your hips lifting off the bed.
“You’re so soaked, and I haven’t even touched you properly yet,” he slowly slides them out, smirking when you whimper at the loss of contact. He inserts them again, this time taking on a steady pace. His fingers make you feel so full, just like they did back at the motel – and you wouldn’t dare lie to yourself and say you haven’t been looking forward to this again. By the way you can’t keep the soft moans escaping past your lips, Jungkook must’ve known too.
Slick sounds bounce off the wall, and you try to keep it to a minimum by minimizing your moans and pressing the back of your hand to your mouth but Jungkook catches your wrist quickly, as if he knew what you were about to do.
“No, baby, let me hear you,” he says, pinning your hand up against the headboard. “I want to know how much you want this, how much you like my fingers fitting right in your pussy,” he looks down, then unexpectedly, he brings his soaked digits up to your face. Your cheeks flush in embarrassment when you see how wet they are with your juices, whimpering when he inserts them in his mouth with no second thoughts, licking them obscenely. You whimper when he shuts his eyes close, looking intoxicated.
“Shit,” he hisses, “Tastes just as good as I remember it.”
“J-jungkook,” you whine, wanting him to do something already.
“I know,” he smirks, a little smug. “Should I go faster? Is that what you like?”
“Please…” you cry out, holding on to his wrist.
He chuckles darkly and just as when you were about to say something else again, he curls the same fingers in you, but this time he plunges them in and out at a faster pace. At that, you don’t hold back the moans you’ve been keeping trapped in your throat.
Legs tensing, Jungkook continues to fuck you with his fingers, moving like an expert; determined to make you fall apart – and you’re nothing but soft cries, heated, fingers tightening around his wrist as your orgasm creeps up your toes to your spine.
“F-fuck…” you sigh when Jungkook dives in your chest again, nipping and sucking at the flesh you were sure he was going to leave marks. “Feels so good, Koo…”
He hums against your skin, curling his fingers and digging in deep that your thighs shake uncontrollably. But Jungkook’s hold on your hip is firm, not enough to hurt, but enough to keep you from thrashing underneath him at the overwhelming pleasure.
“Yeah? You’re making such a mess on my hand, baby,” he husks out.
“S-sorry.”
He chuckles. “You’re beautiful,” He breaks away from your tits to stare at you. Moving away some of the hair that has gotten on your face, he says, “Are you close?”
“Yes, god, yes. Please, I’m so close…”
You can feel yourself about to reach your climax, so you move your hand to seek relief to your clit. But Jungkook catches you off-guard when he moves further down your body. You let out a lewd moan when he licks along your slit, sucking in your folds – your juices making a wet, spongy sound as he slurps. When he closes his mouth around your clit, you cry out and grab his hair quite harshly.
But Jungkook only hums against your pussy, the vibration only making you drip more. He ravishes your nub with his tongue, quick and steady, and so are his fingers in and out of your pussy.
“Oh my god,” you moan, body convulsing at your impending orgasm, shutting your eyes close and focusing on the way his tongue tugs at your clit. “Kook, I’m coming, fuck, I’m gonna cum—”
He pulls off with a smack only to tell you “in my mouth” before going back to business again. You listen to his small grunts, his hums, and until then, you feel your body spasming when the coil at your stomach breaks.
Jungkook puts his hand on your lower stomach, pressing you down as you wriggle underneath him, thighs shaking at your orgasm. He licks until you’re pulling his head out of your mound. He takes his fingers out of your spongy walls, spreading your wetness instead around your folds, as if calming you down from your high.
“Good, baby, good…” he murmurs, gripping your thighs to steady you. Then he leans down and presses kisses over them.
You let your back relax on the mattress, shutting your eyes close and catching your breath.
You hear a drawer pull open, and when you finally open your eyes, you see Jungkook with a condom pinched in between his fingers.
“I’m not done with you yet,” Jungkook skates his fingers through his hair, and you suddenly got the urge to jump him right then and there when you saw the sheer wetness on his jaw, his sculpted chest and the abdominal muscles that sit perfectly on his stomach, his tattoo sleeve – he looked like an absolute dream then, but you knew you were in for a ride when your eyes cast a look at the erection inside his slacks. Jungkook makes quick work of unbuckling his leather belt, and the way the metal clink with each other scratches a part of your brain that screams want, want, want and maybe Jungkook caught on, because he follows your gaze to the belt, clicking his tongue when he throws the leather away somewhere on the floor.
“Next time, sweet girl,” he says, sounding like he meant it. You can feel your cheeks heating under his gaze and the implication of his words, chest pounding as he unbuttons and unzips his pants together with his boxers.
“I…” You watch in quiet fascination when his rock hard dick slaps against his lower abdomen, biting your lip at the sight. It was just as long and girthy as you remember it.
He hums. “You want to play next time, we’ll do that. But eyes up here first,” Jungkook instructs, and you do look at him when he says so, feeling your legs clamping together at his slightly commanding tone. He tugs your legs to pull you closer to the edge of the bed, and so you lift off the mattress slightly and rest your elbows against the soft sheets. Jungkook smiles at you as he kneels between your spread legs, “You look beautiful like this, baby. Do you know how much I’ve been wanting to do this?” he asks as he rips open the condom, pinching the tip and putting it over his cock in quick succession.
“I’ve been waiting for you…” you say, not really sure what you mean, touching his chest because you can. He’s so warm and so big, and your pussy aches at the thought of him finally entering you.
It felt greedy, to want to cum again when you just did not even a full minute ago.
“I know,” he strokes his cock for good measure, and you let out a soft gasp when he hikes your leg over his hip, nudging your other leg to the side. He inserts a finger in your pussy, hissing at your wetness. “Fuck, you are soaked, baby…”
“Put it in,” You whine, chest heaving up and down as you watch Jungkook with half-lidded eyes. His hand wraps around his dick, strokes it for a moment before gripping near the tip and bringing it closer to your aching heat.
You moan when the first inch of his cock goes in, mouth gaping at the intrusion. Jungkook’s eyebrows knit as he adjusts your leg higher on his hip, pushing deeper.
“Look at me,” he instructs, “You can take it, right, baby? You’re so wet, so pretty…”
“I– yes, yes– shit,” you let out a shaky breath, “you’re s-so big, fuck,”
“You’re taking it so well,” he murmurs, voice low and dripping with honey. He gives a gentle, almost subtle thrust that almost knocks you out of the bed.
“Yes, yes, fuck… give it to me, Kook, I want you so bad…”
“Yeah? I’m gonna move in a sec, angel, play with your tits for me.”
You nod your head and do as told, letting your hands wander all over your body before fondling your breasts, moaning instantly at the pleasure.
“Tell me if it hurts,” is what he says before he slips an arm beneath your waist, holding you up, a shudder escaping past his lips when he slowly pushes more past your tight walls. You choke out a moan, a broken sob coming out of it when he finally bottoms out inside of you.
“Ah…”
He hisses, fingers digging at your waist as he withdraws from your heat and only the tip of his cock is in you, the scene with it sitting on your soaked pussy enough to send him into an overdrive.
“You’re so fucking tight holy fuck,” he seethes, forcefully snapping his hips back into you and finally picking up a pace that makes you whimper and cry out pathetic little moans, mind becoming fuzzy at the thrusts of his cock in your entrance.
Your walls clench at the glide of his cock against you, feeling him falter at the little stunt. But you can’t help it. Your body is on fire as Jungkook lets out a guttural groan, pulling you flush against his cock until the thin hairs around the base of his dick are tickling your skin. Your elbow shake as it loses balance, but Jungkook is quick to catch you just on time, leaning down to hover over your body, but it only makes the angle of his fuck deeper, and maybe he meant to do that too.
Your hands are quick to wrap around his shoulders as you feel the tip of his cock prodding against your cervix like he’s going all out, your hips jumping as he rams back inside.
He repeats the movement like a graceful dancer, thrusts deep and purposeful, pulling out wailing sounds from you you begin to worry if the neighbors could hear. He tucks his head against your neck and presses a kiss on the junction between your neck and shoulder, rocking his hips into you, pistoning into your squelching heat. His body is so close, so warm, sweaty skin gliding against yours.
“Fuck, fucking hell, baby – fuck, you feel so good,” Jungkook growls, finding your mouth and kissing you again. His hips snaps back into you once again, and you both swallow each other’s moans at the contact, letting your bodies rock to the sound of your fucking. His hand is on your chest immediately, squeezing everywhere until it settles on pinching your nipple between his fingers.
“Jungkook– ah, baby— fuckkkkk,” You shudder, feeling your pussy quiver at every snap and every withdrawal, and when he brings his hand to your clit and rubs it in quick circles, you screw your eyes shut, feeling that familiar wave again for the second time that night.
“Jungkook–”
“You’re gonna be a good girl and come for me, sweet girl?” Jungkook rasps out, sweaty forehead coming into view as he jackhammers into your pussy with ease, welcomed by your never-ending slick. You never thought you’d see Jungkook like that, fucking like a crazed caveman, looking like he can’t get enough but also straining himself a bit to not hurt you – because of course he wouldn’t.
“Fuck me harder, Kook, I need it– need you to… need you to—”
“Yeah?” he rocks harder, faster just like you said, and you can honestly start to feel the slight pain on your chest as they bounce at the speed, your hand flying to grab at your chest.
“I’m so close,” you cry out, unconsciously reaching for him and feeling like you’re on edge. Jungkook takes your hand and encloses it around his, thrusting into you once again before whispering against your skin to let go.
As if that was a magic phrase, you feel something inside you snap.
“Good girl, I knew you’d come for me, you always do,” Jungkook slurs. You could feel your cum dribbling out of your pussy, creaming his cock, but Jungkook continues ramming himself past your clenched lips and into your spasming hole, grunting against your skin, mouth leaving random, open-mouthed kisses.
He drills on, and his cock still feels so achingly hard, seemingly not anywhere near completion yet. You’re nearly mush beneath him from your current release, but you push through it as you press your hands to his chest, forceful enough to send him tumbling a little. He’s caught off-guard by that, and you take that to your advantage as you maneuver yourself to push him completely on his back, his cock sliding out of you.
He bounces off the mattress a little, looking at you curiously as you straddle his waist. Your sensitive pussy shudders at the cold of the AC in his room, and you feel like your bones have been liquefied, but you don’t let that deter you from taking ahold of his still, indeed, hard cock and sitting on it.
Jungkook inhales a sharp breath as he watches you bounce on his cock, the head disappearing and appearing in your entrance, like a show he would want to replay over and over again. And you’re determined, stretching your body and leaning back to rest your palms on his thighs for support as you take his dick, switching to a back and forth motion.
“Oh, Jungkook, god – oh my god,” and although it was supposed to be for him – for him to cum – you can honestly feel yourself about to snap again, especially when Jungkook reaches forward to rub your tit, caressing your tattoo underneath with that hungry look in his eyes, and settling on your hips like he’s enjoying the little show you’re putting up for him.
“That’s it baby, bounce on my cock – you’re doing so we…ll,” he encourages, but there’s a slight break to his tone at the end. “Shit, keep going – fuck. I’m so fucking close– you look so good,”
You swallow the saliva trapped in your throat to pick up your pace, feeling lightheaded at the overwhelming feeling of his cock prodding against your cervix everytime you go forth. His dick brushes past your clit everytime you move, and you throw your head back when you feel him starting to thrust upward.
“Are you close again, baby?” Jungkook asks, gripping your hips tight as he meets your ministration. You bite your lip at the question, only whimpering when Jungkook bucks his hips harshly. “Cum for me a third time, pretty girl. Cum with me.”
“Jungkook, I can’t, I’m so sensitive. I–”
“You can, angel. And you will.”
You mewl when Jungkook reaches for your pussy with his other hand, quickly finding your clit to rub against it again, and that pushes you to the edge quickly – orgasm snapping on an instant just like that.
Jungkook’s hips stutter, breath caught in between a curse and your name, like the sound of you undid him completely. It was a sound that you heard three days ago when he came in your mouth.
“Fucking hell,” he hisses, hips faltering at his orgasm. “Shit…”
You drop your body unceremoniously onto him, the exhaustion hitting you all at once.
Wrapping his hands around your body very gently, you feel Jungkook kissing the side of your head, making you shut your eyes close.
“Jesus.” you blurt out, whole body spent.
“Didn’t know you were religious like that…” He says with a chuckle, caressing your hair mindlessly.
You snap your head quickly to look at him at the familiar words, narrowing your eyes. Jungkook only presses a kiss to your shoulder as if that was some sort of apology, and you let it go with a playful shake of your head.
“Do you still feel bad about missing dinner?” You ask with a smile on your face.
He let out a low laugh, and the vibration through his chest feels warm against your skin.
“I’m working on making it up to you.”
“Does it really involve making me cum three times in a single night?” you arch your brow. “I think you’re overcompensating.”
Jungkoo gives you a nonchalant shrug. “Maybe.”
And before you can say anything, he flips you over and kisses you again, which makes you giggle into his mouth.

Paige x Azzi
WC: 1.7K
AN: the anon who gave me this idea. I love you. This one's for you freaky frogs!! I call this smut with some plot!! Enjoy 🥰(I just finished writing this from like a month ago…)
————————————————————————————
Azzi loved the gym. It was her safe space to go to when she needed to quiet her mind.
Or her feelings for a certain blonde teammate, who’s also her best friend.
Azzi knew she liked Paige when she was fifteen during USA basketball. She knew she liked Paige when she quarantined at her house before her first year at Uconn and made stupid recruitment videos. She knew she liked Paige on her eighteenth birthday, which was also her recruitment announcement day, when she chose Uconn. She knew she really liked Paige when CD gave them their rooming assignments and Paige was one of her roommates.
So it was safe to say Azzi spent a lot of time in the gym.
Azzi usually spent her time in the gym alone but Caroline tagged along with her this time. Things were going well as they always do when Azzi’s in the gym. Today was a leg day for her and she was doing some leg presses when Caroline walked over to her.
“Az, you know how much I love you, right?” Caroline started.
Azzi scoffed lightly, continuing her set. “Yeah, Care. You good?”
Caroline nodded. “No, yeah, I’m great. I just, you know, as your best friend I wanna see you… happy is all. You know, not living in the gym.”
Azzi paused. “I don’t live in the– Caroline, what are you getting at?”
“I just think you should… tell Paige how you feel. I mean, hear me out, it’s super obvi she feels the same way and I just- I love you, I really do, but I hate when you make me come with you so you can avoid Paige. Which, by the way, is practically impossible because y’all are roommates.” Caroline said, finishing her ramble.
Azzi just blinked at her. How could she think that she’s deliberately avoiding Paige. She lives with her. It would be crazy to avoid her because she likes her. Right?
“I’m gonna go now. Backs of my legs are sore, y’know.” Azzi stated, standing up to grab her stuff.
“Az, you know I didn’t mean it like that–” Caroline began.
Azzi shook her head as she walked towards the door. “No, no, it’s good. I’ll uh, see you later.”
With that, Azzi left the gym and started walking to her apartment.
Her mind was moving at a million miles per second thinking about what Caroline had said.
Was Carol right? Does Paige like me? Was it obvious she felt the same way? Did everyone see it but me? There’s no way she could like me? I know I kinda disappear at the gym but it’s not necessarily to avoid her. Right?
Azzi was so in her head the entire walk home she didn’t even realize she was standing at her front door, or that her legs were actually burning.
Azzi stepped inside, the door clicking shut behind her. She didn’t even realize how sore she actually was until she leaned against the wall to kick her shoes off.
“Hey,” Paige said from the couch, her voice light and familiar in a way that made Azzi’s chest ache. “How was the gym?”
Azzi nodded, stretching her arms up over her head. “Good. It was leg day though, so I’m sore as shit right now.”
Paige grinned, standing up to walk over. “Aw, poor you.”
Azzi rolled her eyes, but she didn’t miss how Paige looked at her as she walked over.
“You want a massage?” Paige offered, sliding her phone into her pocket. “I mean, I’m not pro like the trainers, but I’m like top two.”
Azzi raised her eyebrows. “Oh yeah, and who told you that? They’re for sure lying to you.”
“Kk,” Paige said without missing a beat, smirking.
Azzi let out a small laugh and walked over to the couch and dramatically flopped down onto it. “Y’know what, sure Paige. I could probably use it anyways.”
“Aight, cool. Just lay there on your stomach and I’ll be back. Imma grab some lotion.” Paige said, before disappearing down the hallway.
Azzi adjusted herself on the couch, flipping onto her stomach. Her sports bra dug uncomfortably into her back as she tried to relax.
When Paige returned, she looked down at her for a second. “You can take your bra off if you want. It might be in the way.”
Azzi didn’t hesitate. “Good call,” she mumbled, sitting up to pull it over her head and letting it drop onto the floor beside her.
Paige tried to ignore the quick flutter in her chest as she straddled the edge of the couch and squeezed some lotion into her hands. She started gently, working on Azzi’s upper back and shoulders, the silence between them comfortable but humming with something unspoken.
“Lower,” Azzi murmured after a few minutes. “My glutes and thighs are worse. Please.”
Paige moved down without a second thought, beginning to knead her way over Azzi’s thighs.
But Azzi felt the hesitation.
“Paige,” she said, her voice low, “I know you’re probably trying to be respectful or whatever, but I really need you to like, be… harder. I’m sore as shit right now, so please actually touch my ass for once.”
There was a beat of silence. Then Paige let out a surprised laugh.
“Okay then,” she said, smiling wide, “whatever you want princess.”
Azzi chuckled, cheek smushed against the couch pillow. “Thank you.”
Paige leaned in again, her fingers finding the tense muscles in Azzi’s butt. She tried her best to keep her mind focused, but the moment was starting to feel... charged. Intimate.
After a minute, Azzi peeked over her shoulder. “You’re gonna have a hard time getting in there with my shorts on.”
Paige blinked. “You want me to...?”
Azzi nodded once. “Yeah. Just take ‘em off. It’ll help.”
Paige hesitated, then gently tugged the waistband of Azzi’s shorts down, revealing a tiny black thong that made her brain short circuit.
“Fuck, Az,” she whispered without thinking.
Azzi’s cheeks flushed. “Just, keep going.”
The massage continued—genuine, professional if you will—but with every minute that passed, the air between them thickened. Paige’s fingers brushed higher on Azzi’s thigh, and Azzi made a small, unguarded sound—soft, pleased.
Paige froze.
Azzi turned her head slightly. “Don’t stop,” she said, quiet and honest. “Please, P.”
Paige swallowed, fingers still resting gently against her skin. “Az...”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t think I can pretend this is just a massage anymore.”
Azzi pushed herself up slightly, just enough to meet Paige’s eyes.
“Then don’t.”
Paige nodded slowly, understanding the weight of what Azzi was saying to her. With that, she inched her hand higher on Azzi’s inner thigh, close enough to her core where she could feel the wetness that had gathered there.
“Shit, Az. All this, from a massage?” Paige muttered, tracing small circles between Azzi’s thighs, lightly brushing against her center.
Azzi turned her head, “Paige, I’d so rather you fuck me than sit here and tease me.”
Paige chuckled softly at how needy Azzi was being and nodded, leaning forward near Azzi’s ear. “I gotchu, princess.”
With that, Paige moved her fingers to rub small circles on Azzi’s clit through her soaked panties. Azzi shuddered at the touch. Her body relaxing deeper into the couch.
Paige sped up her circles and Azzi moved her hips back onto Paige’s hand. Silently begging for more.
Azzi’s hips rocked gently against Paige’s hand, her breath shaky, head buried in the couch pillow. Paige’s fingers moved expertly, slow but deliberate, slipping beneath the thin fabric of her thong, finally touching her directly.
Azzi let out a shaky moan, barely loud but so full.
Paige stilled. Not because she wanted to stop—but because something in her chest tugged so hard it almost hurt.
She didn’t want this to just be some tension-breaking hookup. She didn’t want to look at Azzi tomorrow and pretend it never happened. She didn’t want this to stay unspoken.
Paige leaned down, her lips brushing against the curve of Azzi’s shoulder. “Az…”
Azzi turned her head, her eyes heavy but open, searching.
“I—” Paige hesitated. “I don’t want this to be just… this. I don’t want to fuck you unless you know it means something to me.”
Azzi blinked. Her breath caught—not from Paige’s fingers, but from her words.
She shifted, turning over onto her back beneath Paige’s weight, the flush still high on her cheeks, but her expression soft.
“I’ve been in love with you since I was fifteen,” she said quietly. “Since USA basketball. Since that stupid recruitment video. Since you let me sleep in your bed when I got homesick.”
Paige’s lips parted, stunned still.
“I didn’t tell you,” Azzi continued, “because I thought you didn’t feel it too. That you just… wanted to be close. Not like that.”
Paige let out a breathless laugh, her forehead pressing to Azzi’s. “Azzi. You’ve been the only thing I’ve wanted since before I even knew what the hell I was feeling.”
Azzi smiled softly, cupping Paige’s face with lotion-slick fingers. “Yeah?”
“Yeah,” Paige whispered, kissing her slowly—no teasing, no smirk, just gentle. Real. Like the years they danced around this had built up to this one moment.
Azzi pulled her closer, whispering against her lips, “Then show me. But not just because I asked.”
Paige shook her head, her voice a breath, “No, baby. Because I’ve been waiting years to.”
She kissed down Azzi’s jaw, her collarbone, tracing every place she’d always wanted to touch but never let herself. Her hands moved with purpose now—not teasing anymore, not careful. Loving. Claiming.
Azzi’s legs fell open easily for her, but her hands found Paige’s again, lacing their fingers together. “This is the part where you call me your good girl, by the way,” she whispered, breathless. “Just in case you forgot.”
Paige smirked, heart racing. “Never.”
Then she leaned down, fingers still working inside her, lips brushing Azzi’s ear.
“You’re my good girl,” she whispered. “My favorite. My best friend. My person. You always have been.”
Azzi moaned again, louder this time, arching into her, chasing more—of Paige, of this. Of everything they’d been holding in.
And when she came— gasping Paige’s name messily—it wasn’t just pleasure she felt. It was safety between them. It was theirs.
She laid there after, flushed and fucked out, while Paige curled beside her on the couch, brushing hair from her face, pressing soft kisses to her temple.
“I love you,” Paige said simply, like it had always been true.
Azzi turned to her, smiling sleepily. “I know. I love you too.”
And just like that, years of silence turned into the softest sound in the world.

I want to share my white noise solution in case anyone falls into the same niche as me.
I've always liked having a fan/white noise to sleep to in order to block out other sounds, but lately have found my white noise machine has a secret frequency that I can hear sometimes that might be causing me some brain fog issues???
So to remedy this I thought getting something that makes noise with water might be a good idea. But all the indoor ones are really quiet, and it's hard to tell from online listings if people are just putting a mic up close or etc.
(Note, my solution is more about muffling than being loud enough to fully override)
So here's my set up:
I got a tabletop fountain that is meant to simulate rain. While I don't necessarily recommend this one, it's what I have and so what everything I say is going to be based around: [Amazon link]
The 'calming cloud by mindsight'
The first thing to know is that yes! These things are way too quiet. Out of the box, the sound of it was easily overwhelmed by someone in the other room using an electric toothbrush.
So basically I got heavy duty aluminum foil (if you're sensitive to sound I recommend using some kind of hearing protection for this because it genuinely hurt so much) and used a bowl to get the foil in a circular shape. You want the excess to come upwards to block out the sides, because it Will have considerable splash from this. Use a toothpick to put some holes in it, you don't need that many.
Do not use any splash pad, stick that foil right in there and set up the sides to fit inside. For the gaps, I just took a piece of foil and taped it to the top to further block the water from splashing out.
This is considerably louder! Not as loud as a fan, but it's enough to keep sounds from inside my house from driving me insane. Note that the pitch of the water is a little high. You would need a different kind of material to get it lower, probably harder to work with etc. I have tried glass and it is not very loud.
The sound is surprisingly repetitive for something physical like this, so some troublesome holes I blocked off if they were a little too incessant. Holding onto the splash pad is good for this so you can silence any you don't like.
You will need to refill the water as it will evaporate over time. You may even wish to clean the foil eventually or replace it. The one I have will automatically shut off after 3 hours also.
If you use this, please do not put chemicals into the water. I'm not that positive, but this stuff might be something you end up inhaling, so I really feel it's best to just clean it sometimes
Also, yes it is ugly. I find that putting a lampshade over it doesn't impact the sound much.
A lot of cons which is why it's a niche, but the pro is that it does indeed help with the brain fog thing I was experiencing! So maybe someone else could benefit too.
“if you’re sensitive to sounds when sleeping, just use earplugs!” i cannot stress enough that the sensory feeling of having my ears fully blocked AND now being able to hear my own heartbeat and breathing and every other sound that’s happening inside my own body is a million times worse than whatever ambient noise may be keeping me awake

THE INTERVIEWER ASKS about what Carlos enjoys doing outside of motorsports, and the answer is rehearsed.
Carlos Sainz is a man of many hobbies. Racing, of course, dominates his life—he had been born in a legacy of burnt asphalt, it only made sense for him to bleed checkered. He’s a man who enjoys sports: padel with friends on week-ends when their hectic calendars allowed it, he could appreciate a boxing match here and there as a spectator, liked surfing when the weather was right and the waves were kind, and, later in life, he would take up golf. Outside of all movements, Carlos found comfort in good music, the kind with low, rumbling rhythm and gravelly guitar chords he would hum under his breath as a kid. He liked old movies too, the ones with seductive charm and grainy black-and-white frames that felt like diving into a memory.
Yet, amidst all the various things he enjoyed, Carlos Sainz had never been much of a reader.
It’s not that he didn’t like reading—he could get around it—but he just never had the time. As a child, karting consumed him too much to think about anything else. There were a few stray books, Percy Jackson maybe, when all of his classmates were raving about them. But he never learned to let himself get lost in pages. He never had the stillness for it—not with the life he grew up in. The erratic rhythm of racing didn’t leave space for leisurely afternoons, thin paper slipping between fingers, and other worlds unfolding in quiet.
Except once a year.
There was a place, tucked away like a whispered secret in the south of Spain, where time didn’t tick the same. There, the sun kissed his skin with soft acknowledgment. The air smelled faintly of vanilla and light florals. And there, he read.
But he doesn’t like to think about it. So when the interviewer asks about books, Carlos only shrugs and says he’s not much of a reader.
Then he moves on.
LA HERRADURA, PROVINCE OF GRANADA, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN. SUMMER BREAK OF 2016.
La Herradura is a small town, as per Carlos’ standards, tucked along Spain’s Costa Tropical. His orange-tiled home set in Madrid, with its silent halls, had started to feel like a weight pressed against his lungs since February of last year. A place too close to memories, but too far from the heart, or something like that—metaphors weren’t really his strong suit. Returning for his second Formula One summer break would’ve swallowed him whole, which is why he chose this town, where nobody would think to look.
Five thousand people at most, strolling in the narrow streets folded between whitewashed buildings, with a beach that always seemed to hum in the distance. Here, he thought, he might be able to breathe again.
And yet, it’s only his second day, and someone spilt coffee all over his shirt.
You hadn’t meant to. You were just reaching for a packet of sugar near the café counter, as your waiter had forgotten to bring any. In no way had you expected the man beside you to whip around, so when he did, it became a mess of startled movement, clumsy apologies, and dark espresso blooming across his white cotton shirt like the birth of a bruise over his heart. You both spoke at once, tripping over sentences. Your voice tangled in the air until, mid-flurry, his hand caught your wrist gently.
“You’re alright, I promise,” the stranger had laughed. It rumbled through his chest and for a second, even the waves lapping outside the beachside café seemed to roar in jealousy.
He was beautiful in the way people rarely are, terribly so, all in sharp edges and sunburnt youth, sculpted by speed itself, with cheekbones etched by the wind, and jaw clenched from habit. Then, as anyone might have thought he could come off as severe, there were his eyes: soft in their curves, chestnut brown, flickering with curiosity and warmth. It was the kind of moment that would’ve made you roll your eyes if you were ever to write it—too convenient. Still, your heart lifted when he smiled, washing over you like carbonation fizzing to the top of a soda bottle you would have turned upside down.
“I’m still really sorry,” you apologized. “I wasn’t paying attention and—”
“Neither was I,” he cuts you off, and the exasperated smile that escaped you made his smile grow. Carlos found it charming.
“Let me at least buy you another one,” you offered. “It’ll make me feel less like a disaster.”
By principle, he should’ve declined. He had more than enough money to buy his own coffee, and his parents hadn’t raised him to let a pretty woman cover the bill. But there was something in the teasing in your voice he couldn’t place, a color twinkling in your eyes he craved to name, a story he didn’t want to end yet. So he said yes.
He ends up back at your table, settling into a wildly uncomfortable straw chair on the terrace, and you talk, voices clashing pleasantly over the aroma of salt and espresso. Carlos comes to the realization you don’t seem to know of him—or his last name, or his face—outside of the little world you built out of spilled coffee when you ask, casually, what he does for a living. He panics. Says he works as a chauffeur, because he likes the way your hand rests naturally on his forearm, unbothered, and he’s not ready to see the awkward change his upbringing might lead to.
To steer the conversation away from the sudden heat blooming under his collar, he nods toward your open laptop and the notebook darkened by messy scrawling next to it. “And… you write?” he asks.
Your cheeks go warm, and Carlos—absurdly—wants to bottle the shade and carry it around with him. “I attempt to,” you mumble, hastily flipping the notebook closed. “Haven’t written anything good in a hot minute.”
A year, two months, and thirty-two days, if we’re being precise. Your debut novel had made quiet waves, gotten a litany of praise. Critics called it raw, authentic, the kind of story that lingers between ribs. One reviewer went as far as to say it felt like the words spilled right from your lips onto theirs. There was irony in it, because you didn’t feel like anything spilled anymore. You had been staring at your blank document and blinking cursor, crafting slowly wilting outlines for months now. All ideas withered the second you touched them.
People called you a romance writer now. But how were you supposed to write about love when your last relationship left you with scars so soft they rotted sweet, like overripe fruit? What good was a writer who couldn’t write?
“Writer’s block?” the beautiful stranger asks, bringing you back from your own mind.
You nod. “Exactly. My agent’s on my ass about getting something new on paper, and I just… can’t. I thought coming here might help. Change of scenery, all that.”
He leans in, half-grin across his lips, almost conspiratorial. His hair brushes your cheek right where the shadow kisses your cheek. There is some poetry to that, and it’s so precise and cinematic that you want to laugh, that you want to lean further in and grasp its intricacies. “What do you write?” he inquires, and his voice is similar to dusk: low and warm. “Maybe I could help.”
That makes you smile, and a chuckle tumbles out of you. “Romance,” you say. “Technically, it’s women’s fiction, but they always shelve it under romance.”
“So you make a living out of people… falling in love?” His eyebrows lift as he says it. You nod, though the motion is braced. You know what people think of the genre, especially men: the subtle scoff and the condescension disguised as charm. You’re already preparing to pull the plug on the conversation, right with the slow building fantasy of it all, before it goes sour. But instead, he says, “I thought it would be easy, writing about love.”
The laugh that bursts out of you is entirely involuntary. You throw your head back from it, startled by the naivety of it, and the sheer audacity that he might really mean it.
“Love is far from being easy, tesoro.”
Sunlight catches your hair as you say it, and Carlos is possessed by the sound of the waves crashing onto shore as he asks, boldly and oddly earnest, if you can visit the town together. “As inspiration for your book, and another payback for the coffee,” he justifies.
Truth be told, he disagreed with you. For Carlos, there was nothing as easy as love: he fell in love with karting before he could spell the word ambition, let the scent of gas and gravel tarnish and scorch his lungs black, until the motion of getting into his seat became automatic. He loved the cockpit, the spare parts, the silence behind the helmet. He loved his country, with its sun-warmed streets, the music folded into each inflection of the language. Tradition etched into gestures that he carries with him when he drives. He had loved multiple women until his heart gave out under the effort.
Carlos loved with a ferocity you could only hold in the wild, boundless beginnings of adulthood, when the world still seemed so wide and endless, beckoning you to seek for its borders, and fell with just as much force.
Love wasn’t something complicated, or a puzzle to figure out. Cars were, so were strategies. But love? Love came as naturally as breathing, so easy to give yourself in.
And when you say yes, a knowing smile tugging at the corner of your lips, just this side of daring, Carlos thinks he might be falling for you just as easily.
You walk through the streets slowly, without a plan or destination, just the rhythm of two people perfectly content to orbit one another. La Herradura doesn’t offer much unless you’ve planned ahead: no grand museum or crowded monuments, instead overflowing in small alleys, bougainvillea spilling down balconies, salt-sticky air curling around your wrists like ribbons.
Neither of you minds. Carlos is more than happy stopping by overpriced ice cream stalls, pointing out absurd flavor just to see you wrinkle your nose. He tells you the worst one-liners he’s ever heard, mostly from his mother’s soap operas she used to watch while folding laundry, and bask in the teenage feeling burgeoning in his chest at the mere idea of them making you laugh.
He pays for dinner without a second thought. It’s the tourist spot next to the café where you first met, and the food is nothing special, but your snarky comment as the waiter brings the wine makes him feel like he’s won something. The sun’s set by the time you finish, but the last of its glow still lingers on the skin of the sea, similar to yours, and Carlos is surprised by how easily the parallel draws in his mind. A bonfire crackles by the beach, a testimony of late June and the traditions he loves, flames and music and voices all blending into a single glowing memory.
Like all good romantics, you’re drawn to it like a moth. Carlos slips your shoes off your feet before you can protest and holds them in one hand, his other brushing lightly against your back to guide you toward the shore. You sink into the sand, slow and aimless.
“Tell me about your first book,” he says. And you tell him how the story came to you all at once, like it had been simmering into a carafe and poured out in the cold glass of a single summer, with no real plans or outline. You say you didn’t think anyone would care for it. Carlos disagrees, this time openly, saying he would’ve read it even if no one else had.
You laugh, because you believe him, and that is such a ridiculous notion to hold for someone you just met.
You stroll along the shore for what could be like hours or mere minutes—time often loses its shape when the moment is right. Somewhere between the fifth song from the beach guitar and the taste of the wine still on your tongue, Carlos brushes a loose strand of hair behind your ear. The look you give him, like the sky is collapsing on itself, you’re sure you could have written about it this time around.
And maybe the sky really is collapsing. Maybe this night doesn’t exist in the real world at all, maybe it’s just a dream stitched together by the help of seafoam. Because when he says, “Come back with me,” as if he’s asking for a secret and not demanding, you don’t even think about it.
You go. Hand in hand, shoes forgotten, sand clinging to your ankles. The streets are in deep slumber, and his rental smells like sea and freshly washed cotton, and the moment the door closes behind you, it’s as if the world exhales and fades out of reality.
Carlos kisses you like he’s known you across lifetimes, like he’s loved you before and lost you, and this is his only chance to get it right. He touches you like he’s never going to see you again, because deep down he’s not sure he will. His hands are rough, his mouth devout. The pads of his fingers leave heat wherever they pass—marks not visible but undeniably there. You welcome them with parted lips, quiet sighs, nails digging crescents into his shoulder blades.
He doesn’t let you breathe for too long. Every exhale is an invitation he answers with his lips, his hips, his hands. It’s all consuming and fierce, because Carlos doesn’t know how to be anything else but hungry. Burning at the edges but still asking for more, dangerously close to spinning out but never losing control. He gives you everything because he doesn’t know how to love halfway. Because that’s Carlos: he only knows how to take, and take, and take, but only in exchange of all of himself.
You lie tangled in the sheets afterwards, skin kissed warm and hearts pounding in synchrony. A breeze floats through the open window, carrying with it the fresh air of a summer night. In the mellow silence, he studies you.
The flush of your cheeks could be called rose, but that’s too cliché. It’s something deeper, warmer—carnelian, maybe? He wasn’t the best with words. Or was it the color of joy? Or the exact hue of summer slipping beneath the ocean, the kind that never really leaves the sky? He commits it all to memory as sleep takes you both, you pressed to his chest no matter the heat.
And when he wakes up, you’re gone. In your place is a note, scribbled in your messy handwriting. “I have a plane to catch, didn’t want to wake you so early in the morning. Thank you for everything.” And beneath that, almost like an afterthought, a softer, neater line: “You’re nothing like I expected.”
He traces the paper with his hand for too long, heart thrumming somewhere in his throat. Yet, Carlos still gets up. He showers, and dresses, and for the first time in years, he walks into a bookstore.
The woman at the register smiles when she sees the title he picked. “It’s a good one,” she says, and Carlos nods with pride as if the compliment was directed to him.
He reads it in pieces over the rest of the summer break, trying not to read it too fast in order to ration memories. To let your ghost linger a little while longer.
And somewhere in the sky, a few hours before your layover, you finally open your laptop. For the first time in forever, your fingers don’t stall on the keyboard. The words come gently, naturally, and you type them out with the same carefulness.
They’re not about him, not yet, but Carlos lingers in every line, like the unmistakable smell of sun once it has set.
“You don’t read?” his new girlfriend asks, somewhere over the Mediterranean.
The plane ride home to Monaco is a long one when you’re flying from Abu Dhabi, and Carlos had barely said a word since the takeoff. It’s December, and even at cruising altitude, Carlos can feel the temperature shift. He hates the cold—it bites instead of kisses. Give him heat, always. Give him sticky skin, the faint hum of the fan overhead and someone's breath mixing with his in the dark.
His mind travels to his personal Eden, where summer seemed to loop for years on end. The sound of cicadas, the coast so washed it looked half-dreamt. It’s only when his girlfriend calls his name again that he blinks, startled back to the present.
Right, reading. She’s referring to the interview.
“I never have the time,” Carlos answers mechanically, punctuated with a tense chuckle.
She hums, unconvinced, and starts rummaging through her bag. “I could lend you one of mine, just to try. This one’s a beach read,” she says, oblivious to how his chest seems to tighten at her words. “My favorite author. I’ve read everything she’s written. Her stories are always kind of… sad, but really beautiful.”
Carlos wants to protest, say that he’s too tired and beach reads aren’t his thing. If he were to read, he’d want something heavier: a brick of historical nonfiction, or a complex murder mystery. He opens his mouth with an excuse at the ready, but the words die in his throat the second he sees the cover.
It’s a painted memory of soft edges and impressionist strokes, displaying a warm-toned terrace café with straw chairs, dappled in afternoon light. Carlos knows this place, not because of the building or how the awning folds over itself, but because of you.
You’re sitting at one of the tables. Well, it’s not exactly you, more someone like you. A woman rendered in delicate brushstrokes, a sundress flowing to her knees, holding a book just high enough to shadow her face. Still, her likeness is uncanny. And where the café’s name should be, in looping white script, is the title: Every Summer’s End. Beneath it, your name.
Carlos forgets how to breathe.
“You said you vacationed there, right?” his girlfriend inquires, unaware of the rupture. She flips the book around to show him the back. “La Herradura? That’s where it’s set. So funny, it made me think about you when I bought it.”
He takes the book when she offers it, thumb grazing the glossy spine. It’s heavy, like truth, and he forces a slow nod of acknowledgement.
Funny.
LA HERRADURA, PROVINCE OF GRANADA, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN. SUMMER BREAK OF 2017.
Carlos doesn’t believe in fate. He never has, not in the grand scheme of things. He’s not enough of a romantic, in the historical sense, too much of his father’s son, to do so. What he believed in was repetition, in giving until there’s nothing left and your body breaks before your mind. Fate had never helped him score points, efforts did. And licking open wounds caused by those efforts like an injured dog in hope of miracle recovery is what led him to La Herradura for a second time.
He couldn’t admit out loud that it wasn’t the town he came back for. It was the feeling.
The café hasn’t changed much. The layout is different from last year, the chairs rearranged and the menus reprinted in a more minimalist aesthetic. The cushions are a new shade of sun-bleached coral, he notices, but the air still carries the same warm hum of sea salt and citrus.
Carlos doesn’t look when he turns after ordering. A sharp movement, and his cup tips forward in a graceless arc, splashing a deep brown bloom across your pale beach cover-up. “Joder— shit, I’m so sorry—” he stammers and grabs a napkin with the frantic energy of someone half-present in his own body.
“We’ve got to stop meeting like this, tesoro.”
It’s not immediate. It crawls leisurely over his skin, laps at the snowglobe of his memories. Your mouth curves into a smirk he’s sure he’s shaken a few times in his mind. You laugh, his nickname on your tongue, and it clicks all at once. You were the feeling he missed.
You, on the contrary, don’t believe in coincidences. You believe in the invisible threads that tie together with quiet purpose. That everything, no matter how painful or messy, is part of some intricate, meaningful design in a bigger story. You’d be lying if you even thought that some hidden fragments of you hadn’t been hoping, all along, to see him again, wondering if the right set of conditions would pull him back where you left off.
No screams leave your lips, or curses at the temperature of the drink. You were never one for dramatics. You beam at him, damp fabric clinging to your swimsuit. “I think you owe me a clean shirt, this time around,” you say, and Carlos huffs out a disbelieving laugh.
He insists on buying you another coffee, and puts the sugar in it before you can think about telling him to. This time, you sit on the opposite side of the terrace, shaded by a new umbrella but caught in the same orbit.
The rest of the day folds over itself like a well-read book, the ones with the crack in the spine and the wavy pages from hair dripping of pool water. You walk again: down the coast, over the pebbled sidewalk, past shuttered shops and sleepy balconies. When you pass by the same tourist restaurant where you had dinner last year, you both decide to dine somewhere else.
Later, when the sun sinks and the bonfire sparks to life again, a feeling of continuation sneaks upon you both. You walk barefoot in the sand, again, letting your fingers thread through his, again. Unlike last time, Carlos asks about your new book with a carefulness similar to the one of a child. You admit that it’s finished, that people loved it, but you don’t tell him he inspired you. Not yet.
When you get back to his place, again, Carlos kisses you the exact same way, the brush of his mouth against yours too familiar for something that happened just once because he still remembers every second of it. He touches you like he’s still memorizing you, like you’re something he’s still trying to make sense of.
You fall asleep with your limbs tangled in linen and this time, when he wakes up, you don’t disappear. You’re still here when he wakes up, curled into his side with sunlight slipping through your hair. There were no planes to catch this time, you had made sure of it. However, Carlos is a man of habit, a creature of rhythm and ritual. So he gets up. Dresses.
The bookstore is only a short walk from his place. It’s barely open when he arrives, and yet, he finds it immediately: on the middle shelf, front-facing, your name bold and bright against the soft watercolors of the cover.
By the time he returns, the apartment smells of quiet mornings and coffee. You’re sitting on a stool at his kitchen island, legs folded up, his white cotton shirt swallowing your body. The seagulls heard through the windows are alive and singing but your hair is still mussed with sleep and bleary-eyed. Still, Carlos had the sensation to have walked upon something sacred.
Until you froze as your gaze dropped. “Wait,” you say, voice hoarse, “You— You bought it?”
Carlos turns the book around, displaying the familiar name stamped across the bottom with boyish pride. “First thing in the morning,” he grins.
You groan, tucking your face in your hands, even as your cheeks grow blotchy and warm with color. He’d spent half the night thinking of words to name it: he liked carnelian, but coral was as gorgeous. Cardinal stuck. Cardinal, bright, bleeding. It reveled on his tongue like you did.
It looked like the morning sun was in love with you.
Carlos smiles again, slower this time, fondness finger painting his features like a Monet’s. “I really liked your first book. I thought I’d check out the new one after yesterday.”
“You read my debut?” you gaped.
He hums. “Last summer, after you left.”
You just stare at him with wide eyes in wonder, adoration sprinkled like stars in the sky of your pupils. Your heart is louder than your thoughts, skipping similar to a stone over water. You feel seen. In that quiet, piercing way only readers could ever make you feel. And of all people, for it to be him.
Your voice falters as you admit, finally out loud, “Okay, well. In this one, I mean—just a little—some parts might’ve been…” You gesture vaguely, tugging at the hem of the shirt you borrowed. “Inspired by what happened last year.”
Carlos’ smile softens into a molten thing. If your emotions transpired through your eyes, his overcame you in the soft curve of his mouth, seemingly waiting for each one of your words to trigger something in him. He crosses the space to you in the beating of a heart and, as if it was an everyday thing, presses a kiss to your forehead. “I’m honored to be your muse, preciosa.”
You laugh, and it bubbles out of your chest bright and alive. Carlos could compare it to the shaking of a cold soda bottle on a hot day, but he’d be afraid of sounding somewhat ridiculous. You wrap your arms around him without thinking, face tucked in his shoulder. He still smells like the beach, like intimacy.
“Well,” you murmur, “you’ll probably end up inspiring another one this summer.”
He pulls back just enough to look at you, thumb brushing under your skin. “Then I’ll help you through the process again,” Carlos assures, his voice laced with poetry. “I’ll give you a thousand stories worth writing about.”
And it’s such a you and him thing to say that you feel your chest bloom open.
Outside, the world is just beginning to stir. The sunlight is thickening, birds singing as if to beckon the beginnings of July closer and closer. Inside, in this little kitchen scented with espresso and sunscreen, you know in your bones that won’t be the last time you wake up here.
This isn’t fate. This isn’t coincidence. It’s what’s left of the sand after it trickled down the hourglass, somehow, the two of you begin again.
The book was shelved under Romance.
Carlos hesitated in front of the section. His gaze trailed over the display of cartoon covers and pastel spines until his eyes settled on it.
Turquoise and dark sienna, a palette so at odds with its neighbors that it looked like it was meant to misfit. The title curled across the spine in delicate letters tangling into one another with the intimacy of intertwined lovers. Carlos felt like he intruded on something that he had no right to look at. Maybe that was the case.
He handed back the copy his girlfriend had so kindly lended him. Her copy, with loopy, highlighter-bright annotations and neatly color-coded tabs with tiny hearts next to her favorite quotes. It didn’t feel like you at all. Not when you were all in cracked spines and sand-stuck pages, yellowed out by the sun. Your notes, when your mind raced slow enough to make them, were scrawled hastily in the corners of receipts and napkins tucked before the backcover, legible only in candlelight, sometimes not even to yourself.
When they landed in Monaco, Carlos didn’t go home. He went to the airport bookstore, the scent of sterile bleach and teary goodbyes clinging to the air. He needed a clean slate: something that didn’t belong to her, but not something that belonged to you either. Just something that let him read the book like it was a book, and not a wound he’s been carrying around like a splinter.
As he takes the novel in his hands, the rough pads of his fingers shake around the paperback. A book could never be a person, Carlos reminds himself. Still, disappointment swelled in his chest like rising tide when the cover didn’t give under his touch the way your skin used to. It held firm, cold.
He glanced around instinctively. The bookstore was mostly empty, and he waited for the clerk to turn her back on him before tucking one, two, three, four under his arm. He was absurdly careful. As if they could bruise, he mocks himself.
With the carefulness of a lover, Carlos placed them at the very front of the shelf titled Women’s Fiction.
LA HERRADURA, PROVINCE OF GRANADA, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN. SUMMER BREAK OF 2018-19
You found each other again, summers after summers, until it became another beloved tradition, a ritual engraved in the gravelly skin of La Herradura, like initials in driftwood, softened by sun and salt but never erased.
Every late June, you’d return to your meeting place: the beachfront café that had once been the backdrop to spilled coffee and first laughter. Same time, same order— there was comfort in that, in repetition, the predictability of you and him.
As the sun dipped low below the sea, you’d slip back into his hunchback rental, skin warm with the fingerprints of daylight and your limbs heavy with knowing exactly where the night was going. You wore his shirt like silk and let him read you like scripture under the low hum of the fan.
Mornings belonged to books and windows cracked open. Carlos always woke before you, force of habit, and he’d pad down to the tiny bookstore with sand still crusted to his ankles and pick up the novel you’d published the summer before. Always one summer behind, and always eager to catch up in the only place he actually could.
He had learned to notice the parallels, to draw the metaphors by himself, no matter how clumsy. A sunset that had once dripped like marmalade over your bare shoulders found itself in Chapter Twelve. The stray kitten that had curled up in his lap one morning during breakfast became a symbol of grief in your prose. He watched your stories unfold and realized he was there: tucked between allegories and half-truths, tucked in the margins.
The days melted into each other with the same syrupy pace as the tide. For someone whose life was clipped in interviews and lap times, Carlos learned what it was like to breathe again, to fill his lungs until they stretched open without ache. His fingers, used to clenching around the wheel or curling into fists from tension, learned to soften. To touch with intention, not urgency.
He slept through the night, and he let silence settle without needing to break it.
In your shared Eden, nothing touched you. Not the headlines, not the passing of time. Even the reality that loomed past the end of those three weeks seemed to be kept at bay. There was only the breeze, the sea, and the soft, looping miracle of finding each other again.
LA HERRADURA, PROVINCE OF GRANADA, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN. SUMMER BREAK OF 2020.
Someone had to bite the apple first, and this time the sinner had brown hair.
This time, Carlos landed in La Herradura with red flashing in his mind, tensing the deepest parts of his bone, flashing behind his eyes when he tried to sleep. The familiar rumble of the engine still echoed inside of him as he crossed the beachfront café, the one where it always begins. This time, his body didn’t relax.
The switch hadn’t been sudden, not really. The idea of Ferrari had haunted him long before the contract had been signed. The discussions, the promises, and the restructuring of his future in motorsports; it had consumed him in the months separating one summer from the next, had bent his life in directions he’d sworn to never take for granted.
When he found you again, sitting below the striped awning with your sunglasses pushed up into your hair, your drink sweating under the Andalusian sun, he smiled. Yet, it didn’t fully reach his eyes.
You noticed it. Of course, you did.
Carlos remembers what you said, in a faraway place in which cradled the beginnings of the two of you. You said that love is far from being easy, and back then he’d disagreed without a second thought. There was nothing as easy as love. He was twenty-two then: all heart and bleeding devotion, untouched by the weight of what it meant to choose. But today he was twenty-six: it felt older, he had traded cotton shirts for linen button-ups, and learned to appreciate the taste of stronger alcohol.
And no matter how soft the sand, the hourglass kept running.
This time, Carlos planned things. Planned. The word itself was foreign to your time together. He made reservations at upscale local restaurants with white linens and dizzyingly long wine lists. He drove winding cliffs to bring you to coastal vineyards, places with photo ops and curated beauty. He booked you both scuba diving lessons with a man who introduced himself as Diego and called you lovebirds. He filled the time until it overflowed, as if silence was a sin he couldn’t afford anymore.
This wasn’t how La Herradura worked. You never planned here. You lived here.
Now, he drove too fast, kissed you like the end was always lurking around the corner. The only time he’d breathe and settle down was at night, when he held your body flush against him. His hands tugged you impossibly closer, like he was made of marble and trying to carve you out of him.
Still, you didn’t ask. The problem didn’t reside here, in your sacred, familiar garden. It lived in whatever came before and after, so you didn’t think you had a right to. You didn’t belong there.
Next year, things would have to change. Carlos would have to change. His body, his name, his entire presence all had to be shaped into one thing, focused and sharp. The Carlos you had couldn’t split himself between two places, love and legacy.
Hard-working. Focused. Determined. That’s what Carlos is, down to his core. He’d never been a romantic.
And yet, you curled into him that night, limbs loose from wine and heat, hair spilling over his bare chest like ribbons. The fan circled overhead. Outside, the waves licked the sand in soft intervals, time dissolving once again in white noise. Carlos stared at the ceiling, his hand draped low on your spine, fingers memorizing.
He keeps telling himself that it was always meant to be temporary. Time stopping for anyone or anything was a silly notion enfolded in the delusions of early adulthood. You were a substance he had to get out of his system, and those summer breaks spent in this secluded paradise had him indulging more than he felt the need to.
You were always meant to be temporary, he tries to convince himself as he holds your sleeping figure close to his chest.
For the very first time, and in a desperate attempt to grasp the last seconds you could ever share, he whispers in your ear for the very first time, “I love you, preciosa.”
He would hold on to his name on the back of the vermilion suit, on his ivory number somewhere on the bar of his cerise car. It wasn’t the cardinal flush of your cheeks, but it was as close as he was going to get in a long time— if not forever.
Carlos would hold onto that too. Until he could draw another parallel, find another adjective.
Love is far from being easy, he finally agrees.
Nostalgia is a traitorous substance, an opiate of the heart: indulge in it too much and you become addicted. Carlos had learned, early one, to stray away from it. There was no room for looking back when you lived life ten seconds at a time. However, melancholy— melancholy he never quite managed to unlearn. And nostalgia, no matter how hard he tried to keep it at bay, always found a way back in.
Both brewed now, unbearably sweet, in the pages of Every Summer’s End.
Carlos sat crooked on his bed, spine aching and sheet twisted at his hips. The only sound was the rustle of paper and the quiet shift of his breath whenever a sentence carved too deeply.
When his girlfriend told him it was set in La Herradura, Carlos’ heart had dropped straight to the floor. He was scared of what he’d find between the lines. Terrified of you, not in flesh and skin but in ink and metaphors. More precisely, Carlos was afraid of finding out if you had grown to hate the memory of him, if you had walked the same streets, swam under the same starry sky, but the landscape curled into you like spoiled wine, if you had spat on his name while he held yours tenderly behind his teeth. It was a selfish fear, but real nonetheless.
Then he started reading. That’s when he realized the truth: the book wasn’t about him, like it had been so many times before.
This time, the novel was about you.
The lines blend together until they form black-and-white frames in Carlos’ mind. Adriana—your heroine—had lost the love of her life. The how was ambiguous— sometimes, you hint at the cruel but tender hands of death. Sometimes, you allude to another woman, on another coast, somewhere colder. Carlos read and reread each implication like scripture, combed through context like scripture.
But the novel was never about the man. No matter what you may imply, it all comes down to the same thing: the mourning of what was. Grief, in its purest shade, and the rebuilding that came.
He recognized every place Adriana visited, and Carlos felt it like bruising under his skin to the point of nausea. The worst wasn’t even the familiarity, but knowing you had been there too: walked those same steps without him, cried without him, healed without him. And survived.
Because that’s what the story was really about: surviving through the healing process. Life isn’t restricted to loss. It might shape and change what you are, but it doesn’t erase you. It doesn’t vanish, but simply loosens its grips. The places you once loved don’t reject you; they remember you and help you puzzle yourself back together. In the library near your rental, in the San Juan bonfire on the beach. You are still there, somewhere, no matter what happened.
Eventually, you learn to love again.
Adriana meets someone at a beachfront café. A stranger, simple and warm. He doesn’t spill his coffee on her. He tells her he’s a local, works in a bar not far from here. He’s different from her past lover, and that’s good, because he reminds her that love isn’t always followed by silence.
The tear that hung on Carlos’ eyelashes finally fell down. Gravity had decided to be merciful, just this once.
LA HERRADURA, PROVINCE OF GRANADA, ANDALUSIA, SPAIN. SUMMER BREAK OF 2021.
Carlos wouldn’t know what happened at that time or place. He wasn’t there.
However, you would. But you didn’t like to recall it, so you wrote about it instead.
Then, you moved on.
By the time Carlos had turned the last page, the sun had started its gentle ascent, spilling gold through the half-closed curtains of his bedroom. The warmth of the light filled the emptiness that came after savoring a book, heavy with everything that had been lived on the page.
The sleepless night had passed in an ever present ache. He deciphered your every allegory, holding your tone close to his chest. He had read you in every line with your rhythm, the sentences that curved like the lines of your body. Your prose was yielding, bruised. It felt like another night beside you, your hands toying with his hair, whispering sweet nothings in his ear. When the final word passed under his gaze, it felt like he was leaving you all over again.
But now he was done reading, and you were almost gone.
Almost. Because there it was, not in capitalized letters or bolded words, but on the final page, similar to the unearthing of a secret.
Although I may not be yours this time around, I could never be another’s.
He could recall a conversation you once had on the balcony of his rental. “I hate dedications at the beginning of books,” you’d muttered with a sigh. Carlos was sunbathing next to you, opening an eye to look at your figure hunched over your keyboard. “It doesn’t make sense to me. The person you dedicate it to doesn’t know what you’re giving them yet.” He’d hummed with a laugh, and you had continued. “Maybe it’s ridiculous, but I would much prefer it to be at the end, so that they understand the meaning of all of it.”
“Would you ever dedicate it to me?” Carlos had asked teasingly.
You’d arched a brow at him, rolling your eyes to the sky with nothing but tenderness. “If I did, I wouldn’t say your name, tesoro. Much too obvious.”
He hadn't thought much of it at the time, only amused when he looked for the dedications in your books and found them right before the backcover.
Except that now, the last of your presence hung on the last page and the two lines that made it, and Carlos knew in the deepest, most egoistic parts of himself, that it was meant for him to understand. That was probably the cruelest part: the story had ended, so had the numerous summers, and he wasn’t sure either of you were still the people who loved and burned under the Andalusian sun. Time passed, it was something Carlos had made peace with.
Yet, the dedication said maybe.
The most rational part of him told him to let it go. He should protect what little healing you and him may have found, to not dig up something that already fed the soil. But the thing about Carlos Sainz is that he had never been at letting go of the things that made him feel alive. Because you had a part of him in you, just like every car he had ever stepped foot in possessed a part of his soul, just like every race track could beat to the rhythm of his heart. Because Carlos Sainz doesn’t know how to give halfway.
He doesn’t know what he’s doing until he’s done, but a ticket to La Herradura for the end of the next month of June is blinking at him on his phone screen.
He had no plans, no speeches, and didn't mean to prepare any. The only desire inhabiting him was the one to be there, in that place, basking in the possibility of it.
Maybe Carlos won’t see you, maybe he will. If he does, you’d talk. He’d offer you your usual coffee, if you still took it that way, and he’d tell the entire truth. He’d see where it leads, if he’d take back that part of him you held or he’d let it stay with you.
Some summers, just like love stories, never end.
They just get rewritten, again and again and again.

“AT THE SAME DAMN TIME.”, chap one, chapt two, chap three.
synopsis; After a messy, short-lived situationship with Stack—reckless, flirtatious, and all the wrong kinds of possessive—you swear you’re done with hood boys who can’t keep up. But when you drop something off at his mother’s store and find both Stack and his older twin brother Smoke inside, something shifts.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Don’t let me walk out this house lookin’ basic.”
You sat in Sevyn’s bathroom, your legs crossed under you while she dipped into edge control and eyed her parts in the mirror. A pile of synthetic hair bundles sat between y’all like some kind of offering. You’d been braiding each other’s hair for years, but today? It felt different. Intentional. A little…competitive.
Because Smoke and Stack were gonna be at that party. And like Sevyn said earlier—this had to be bitch-you-lost-me loud. Your hair was already halfway done—soft, loose boho knotless braids with curly ends that framed your face like silk. Sevyn’s would match. You told everyone it was so y’all could be twins for the summer.
By the time y’all were finished, the sun was getting low, casting that golden hour light on your skin as you both stood in the mirror, checking your angles. Sevyn wore a lime green swimsuit with clear heels. You chose the cherry-red bikini—the one Mary would’ve killed to fit the way you did. You tied a mesh skirt around your waist, hoop earrings in, clear gloss shined up, gold anklet catching the light.
“You look like a damn problem,” Sevyn said, snapping a photo. “Good,” you smirked. “I wanna ruin somebody’s night.”
•several hours later,
The bass from the backyard speakers was deep enough to vibrate through your chest. The crowd was thick—bodies half-drunk, glittering in oil and chlorine. You and Sevyn walked in side-by-side, braids swinging, skin glowing, confidence high.
Y’all mingled with a few people you knew from high school, laughed over plastic cups, and dipped your feet in the pool before finally slipping in waist-deep. The water was warm from the sun, and for a moment—you almost forgot about the real reason you were here. Until you saw him.
Smoke.
Fresh cut, black tee stuck to his chest, chain resting against his collarbone. He wasn’t in the pool, just standing to the side with a drink in his hand, cigar tucked behind his ear, eyes locked on you like you were the only thing worth watching.
But then—him.
Stack.
Leaning back in one of the patio chairs, shirtless, glistening, laughing with his head tilted back. And sitting next to him? Mary. Long-legged. Bikini too small. Hair damp from the pool. And she was giggling like she’d never heard a joke that funny in her life. Your smile dropped. Your stomach twisted. Ugly and mean. You didn’t even notice the way your lips pushed into a pout until Sevyn whispered, “Bitch, relax.”
You inhaled once. Smoothed your expression. Then let a slow smirk spread across your face. “Nah,” you said, wading toward the steps. “I’m good.” You walked up to Smoke, water still dripping from your thighs, mesh skirt clinging to your curves. His eyes followed the drops. Then rose—slow and hooded—to meet yours. “You always watch this hard, or is it just me?”He didn’t flinch. Didn’t even blink. “It’s you,” he said simply.
You stepped closer, real close. Chin tilted up. The music slowed into something bass-heavy and slick, and suddenly you didn’t care who was watching. “And what you gon’ do about it?” Smoke set his drink down. Palmed the back of your waist, warm and confident, drawing you into him with quiet heat. “Come here,” he said low.
And you did.
The kiss hit different. Slow. Warm. Wet. His lips moved like he already knew how you tasted. Like he was just confirming what he imagined. Your fingers gripped the front of his shirt, lips parting, and he kissed you again, deeper—his hand sliding down to the small of your back like he’d claimed it.
You didn’t know how long it lasted. But you knew when it ended. Because suddenly, a voice snapped from behind you.“Man, what the fuck?!” You pulled back, blinking. Stack was standing there, arms wide, face twisted up. Mary was beside him, eyes darting from you to Smoke to Stack like she couldn’t believe what was happening. “What is your problem?” she snapped at Stack.
“Why do you care if she’s over there with Smoke?!” “Because!” he barked, hands dropping. “Because it’s her! You don’t get it.”People had turned by now. Faces watching. Eyes wide. Mary threw her hands up. “No, you don’t get it! You been flirting with me, making me think—!” “Man, I don’t owe you nothin’,” Stack spat.
And right there, in front of everyone, they were yelling. Mary’s voice sharp, Stack’s louder. Your name came up once—“You was just tryna get back at her!”—but you stopped listening. Your stomach was tight. Your face hot. Smoke’s arm was still around your waist, but the moment had died. Sevyn found you quick. “We gotta go,” she whispered, already tugging your hand. “They just killed the whole damn mood.”
You nodded numbly. Turned to leave.
But before you did—you looked at Smoke. Reached in your purse. Pulled out a pen and slid it across his hand. Your number. “For when the mess dies down,” you said. You didn’t say it was to get back at Stack. You didn’t say you actually liked that kiss. You just walked off. Braids swinging Heart racing. And Smoke?
Smoke watched you go.

It all started with a smoothie that went wrong. And not even in the normal ways a smoothie could go wrong.
It had been a good smoothie. Honestly one of the better ones she’d had. A nice mix of flavors with the added satisfaction of the fortune that brought everything together to create it.
Someone had left a pomegranate in her locker. No idea why. She checked around to see if it belonged to anyone. Maybe someone put it in her locker by mistake? Or if it was a gift, she at least wanted to know so she could thank them.
Sadly, no one knew. And no one else wanted it. Regardless, it felt a little sad to just leave it there. Not to mention wasteful. And Marinette hated wasting food. She was sure she could make something out of the fruit! Macarons? Tarts? Molasses?
She was still debating the options when she happened upon an outdoor fruit stand. Which was rather unusual but not completely uncommon. And the nice man seemed to have some good stock to choose from, even if they weren’t in season yet. So she walked away with a fresh pear.
How lucky to get a pomegranate AND a pear? She was a little surprised to get them. Weren’t they supposed to be fall fruits? How were they even this fresh and ripe? It was still summer, after all.
Regardless, she took them home planning to make something out of them…only to forget about them for a couple of days until an all-nighter and a particularly rushed morning left her needing to make something quick for the go and she figured a smoothie would be good enough. Especially since she needed to eat them before they went bad. So chopped up and into the blender they went.
Which in retrospect, probably wasn’t the best idea.
In her defense, Marinette was very busy. Very busy and on an increasingly tight schedule. She had exams coming up, a report to right, and a commission she needed to complete, and a mock up she needed to start for her project—which was going to be evaluated by an outside panel of judges in an official setting, which she was completely unprepared for as it was. And if she thought she was unprepared for that, there was no way she was prepared for…this!
This being two unnatural but still very handsome men in her living room arguing with each other over which of them got to take her home. Which would sound very flattering and maybe enticing under most normal circumstances if the “Home“ in this case didn’t refer to places that weren’t even on earth. And that she had only vaguely heard of in stories that she was pretty sure weren’t real.
Or at least she HAD been sure before today. Will wonders ever cease?
Or maybe she was hallucinating?
“She ate the fruit of the Land of the Dead.” The blond one insisted, his voice rich and sending shivers down her spine in a rather intense and interesting way she hadn’t known could be a thing before. “That puts her under my jurisdiction.”
“I would disagree. She ate the fruit of the Wilds and thus is bound to my claim.” The blue—yes, blue haired man countered with a smile that would make her melt if not for the teeth. The unusual and sharp teeth.
Both of these men were otherworldly beings summoned apparently by her smoothie.
Both were also ridiculously hot.
And she absolutely did NOT have time for this!
“Look,” she interrupted their stare-off, bringing both gazes to her. “I’m late enough as it is. If you two could break and enter some other time, that would be wonderful.”
They both stared at her. And yes, she should be more concerned about these two (incredibly handsome) strangers in her apartment, but she was going to be late if she didn’t leave now and run—literally run to her first class as fast as possible.
She slipped on her shoes and grabbed her bags.
“Thanks! Don’t steal my stuff—you probably can’t use it anyway. Bye!” She called as she left.
The door shut behind her, leaving the two men behind in silence and a now empty apartment.
“Did she just leave us?” Asked His Majesty Thanos, God of Death, Judge of Souls, and the current Ruler of the Underworld.
“So it would seem.” Replied The Erlking, Lord of the Wilds, King of Fae, and current Ruler of Underhill.
The two sized each other up while considering their position and options. It would be difficult to continue the argument without the subject present. Though it was quite off-putting that she would simply leave when they were in the midst of such an important battle to determine her future.
At this point, it appeared there was little more to do but wait. That was fine.
They were nothing if not patient after all…
Somehow, some way, a human managed to acquire both a pomegranate from the underworld and fruit from the realm of the Fae, then made a smoothie out of them. Now, Hades and the Fae are in a fierce argument regarding who the human belongs to.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀HE SAYS MY ATTITUDE OUT OF CONTROL ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀TELL ME WHAT TO DO, MR GENERAL
✦ the first time you called him “oppa,” he flinched. not because he didn’t like it— oh he did, too much— but it hit him like bricks just how young you sounded when you said it. how wrong it should feel. it never stopped you, though. and he’d never ask you to.
✦ he didn’t act on his feelings at first. he’s well aware of just how much older he is, how often people talk. but you’re a persistent little thing: always coming to him for advice, always calling late at night, always so damn sweet when you look up at him and say his name like he’s your whole world. so eventually, inevitably, he gives in.
✦ the power imbalance isn't lost on him. he pays for everything. teaches you things he’s learned over the years. set boundaries you’re too passive to set for yourself. cheol justifies it as protection— but there's a part of him that likes it. the dependency. the trust. how you lean on him, need him.
✦ cheol spoils you in ways that blur the line between boyfriend and provider. gas tanks full, appointments paid for, new clothes ‘just because’. he’ll never say it out loud, but it’s like his way of staking his claim, you know? taking care of you in a way no one else could compete.
✦ he’s incredibly protective. doesn’t like you staying out late without him, gets irritated if you mention a guy friend your age. he tells himself it’s cause he knows better, knows what boys that young are after. but it’s jealousy. he hates the damn word, but it is. the fear you’ll wake up one day and want someone you can relate to a little more.
✦ he’ll often pull you into his lap when he’s sitting down. he has a tendency to after arguments too. his voice low, hands firm on your waist, tone shifting to tender in a single breath. it’s his way of grounding. a reminder that he’s the one who adores you, and still the one in charge.
✦ “you don’t know what you want yet,” he’d tell you more than once. especially when you try to push his buttons, act older, test his limits. it’s part concern, part arrogance. sometimes he thinks you’re not ready for a ‘real’ relationship— but he’s not strong enough to stay away.
✦ cheol calls you “baby” more than your name. at times it’s “kid,” like when he’s annoyed. other times it’s “good girl,” when you’ve done something that makes him feel pride. there’s a tenderness in it, but also a sense of ownership. like you belong to him in every sense.
✦ it took some time before you actually slept together. there’d been no end of cheol going down on you, making you cry with just his hands. but he never asked for anything in return; always shaking his head when you’d offer. cheol didn’t want to rush, wanted to ease you into it. and you found out why the first time he pulled down his pants. he’s huge. rightfully worried about hurting you. it took about a week of foreplay before he had the courage.
✦ cheol’s usually careful during sex: obsessively so. gentle, slow, constantly checking in. but there’s an underlying tension simmering under his skin. that part of him he suppresses, that wants to utterly ruin you. to make sure no one else will ever measure up. he bites it back— most of the time.
✦ once you called him “daddy,” just as a joke. but with how he went still next to you, his pupils swallowed with black— you knew you had that over him. cheol had promptly plucked you up with two big hands on your waist, tossing you to the nearest couch, hands already unbuckling his belt. he’d lost himself in a way you only rarely get to see. but you try to rile it out of him.
✦ the guilt creeps in during quiet moments. when you’re asleep beside him, curled up peacefully, and he realises just how small you look. remembers the gaps between your worlds. he wonders what your parents really think. what his members bite their tongues about. but cheol doesn’t stop. not when his own advice to himself would be that he probably should. because you sleeping soundly next to him, warm and safe, is all that he gives two shits about.
✦ you told him you love him first. he had hesitated: not because he doesn’t feel it— you’ve got no idea how deeply he does— but because it’s like he’s holding something fragile in his hands. and if he says it back, there’s no undoing it. no going back. but he does anyway. “i love you too, my girl.” and he knows then that there’s nothing he wouldn’t do for you.

Note
why am I lowkey wanting a Leila yn oneshot. Like I know there’s an age gap and Leila doesn’t see yn that way…but also leila
Trigger warning: age gap, little dark and predatory (!!!!) behaviour, don't read it if it makes you uncomfortable.
Not sure how I feel about it, kinda guilty, but whatever.. I had fun writing this little concept. also, kudos if we turned this into a putellas!r
Tumblr media
..
Leila glanced up at Y/n, a faint smirk on her lips. They were sharing a room.
There was some kind of mix-up that had happened when the staff was organising who was going to room up with whom. Not that Leila cared much.
The girl in front of her had recently turned twenty. She was young. She let her emotions drive her. She got nervous when she noticed she was being watched. She squeaked when she got embarrassed, like a little mouse.
Leila liked that.
It was her first senior call-up. She was only here because one of the defenders got injured two weeks ago, and the federation had to act fast, call someone up.
So why not Y/n? Barcelona's little star. Alexia's protégé. The U21 standout defender :)
Now, standing under the dim lights of their shared room, Leila wasn't sure it had been a good call. The kid (Leila had to bite back the word) looked like she might fall apart if someone so much as breathed too hard in her direction.,
Defenders were supposed to be the walls of the team. They were supposed to be unshakable. Tough. Right?
And yet, Leila knew Alexia would kill her if she let anything happen to the girl she talked so proudly of. Destroy Alexia's little golden girl? Nah...
All of that should have been enough to put an end to whatever weird thing Leila was feeling. But then Y/n looked at her again, like she was nervous, intimidated, and something else.
And suddenly, Leila wanted to kiss her right here, right now.
She wanted to turn that little scared face into something different.
But of course, Alexia couldn't know about it.
Leila would set the trap in front of Y/n, carefully, and if she was a good little rabbit…She would jump right in.

“but please shut up” — ln4
summary: from the SINGLE PARENT UNIVERSE and based on THIS request, I present to you 2k words about the moment Yn first said the three words to Lando, and then told him to shut up (or something like that). (I am reposting this because I didn’t like the first version, so... yeah. no more yn now)
──────────────────
You and Lando had been dating for no longer than six months when the words finally slipped out of your mouth.
It was a Saturday morning. A sunny one, to be precise. One of those rare occasions that normally meant peeling Olivia away from the TV and getting her ready for a picnic at the park, or for riding a bike, or for doing just any activity that allowed you to soak the sun as much as possible.
On that particular Saturday morning, though, the clear sky wasn’t the only rare thing happening in London.
For starters, you weren’t at your place, but at Lando’s apartment. Something that had never happened before. Not in the morning, at least. Not as a result of spending the night there.
Then, of course, because you weren’t at your own place, there was also the fact that Olivia wasn’t there, with you. Instead, your sister had taken her to Bristol so she could spend a fun weekend with her cousins. And so you and Lando could have some time alone.
So, yeah, of course—things were different that morning.
And yes, maybe you could have sensed that something else would happen, something you didn’t see coming because it also normally never happened.
But you didn’t.
All you did was wake up wrapped in Lando’s arms, kiss him good morning, and drag yourself out of bed. On your way across the bedroom, you grabbed one of his hoodies and put it on. Warm, oversized, and smelling like him. Exactly how you liked it.
Once you made it to the kitchen, the space opened into sunlight and sleek surfaces. Fancy. Clean. Organized. Looking not even one bit like the messy tiny home you owned. With no crayons forgotten on the table, no mermaids and unicorns in the mugs and cups and plates, no colorful drawings stuck to the fridge. And yet just as comfortable and cozy in its own Lando Norris’ way.
It made you smile, for some reason. A smile that you kept on your face while trying to decide what to make for breakfast, and that only grew bigger when Lando finally joined you in, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder while you cracked four eggs into a small bowl.
“Hmm,” he murmured, his morning voice sending chills down through your spine. “You look really nice in my kitchen… Wearing my clothes… Smelling like me…”
You tilted your head slightly, leaning into his curls as he kissed your neck and just settled there, keeping up with your movements—with the whisking of the eggs and the soft clink of the fork echoing in that quiet morning.
You could tell Lando was happy with that setting, with spending the morning together after also having spent the night together. Something you couldn’t really do very often, considering you still weren’t ready to add him into Olivia’s routine like that. Not without making sure—making fully, fully sure—that this wasn’t just a temporary thing for him. That he was staying in for good, and that he was actually willing to have a role not just in your life, but also in your daughter’s life.
Which, to be honest, was becoming more and more easy to see as time went by.
Like when he stepped away to grab the milk from the fridge and very casually asked, “Talked to Liv yet?”
“Not yet,” you said, then waited until he had splashed a bit of the milk into the small bowl to keep going. “Told my sister I’d give them a call after breakfast.”
You sprinkled in a pinch of salt and went back to whisking, meanwhile Lando got himself busy by grabbing a pan and dropping a knob of butter into it.
“I hope she’s having fun,” he said, distracted as he switched on the hob and placed the pan above the humming heat. “Y’know, I was thinking about what it’d be like to take her to the beach.”
You paused.
You paused and stared at the bowl. Right in front of you.
And Lando laughed.
And the butter sizzled gently.
And then the smell of it filled the space.
Warm. Comforting.
“Sandcastle chaos, for sure,” he added.
Still chuckling.
Still nonchalant.
As if mentioning he had been thinking about your daughter and about how it would be to spend time with her didn’t bring this funny feeling to your chest. As if it wasn’t a big deal. As if it was normal.
You swallowed.
To be fair, when it came to Lando, it actually wasn’t weird. Because he did that a lot—dropping how much he cared in the most subtle, random ways. In the little things.
But this morning, for some reason, it seemed to happen more than usual.
He did it again, for instance, as you were sitting around the small table and having breakfast. As he was telling you about these new clothes he had bought online. Casually, randomly. Just by asking, “Purple’s her favourite, right?”
To which you furrowed her brows and mumbled a simple, “huh?”
“Liv’s.” He scraped the fork against his plate, gathering the scrambled eggs, and shrugged. “I saw these really cute tiny trainers that made me think of her.” He scooped up the food and shoved it inside his mouth. But he didn’t stop, he just chewed as he talked, muffling the words. “They were… Mmph… Puh’pul… Yeah?… Puh’pul’s her fav’rite… Innit?”
“I—Yeah. Purple’s her favourite color, yeah.”
He smiled, swallowed and nodded, all proud of himself.
“I knew it.” He took a sip of coffee, then focused on the beans still left on his plate. “Didn’t get them though…” He shoved the fork back into his mouth. Words mumbled as he chewed again. “Didn’know’er size, so… Oh!” He swallowed and shuffled on his seat. “Shit.” He coughed, choking a little around the food that had gone down his throat. “Um… Just remembered… Did I tell you about this… About this new idea we had for the next collection? I didn’t, did I?”
“Um… I don’t think so, no…”
“Right. Yeah. So, listen to this…”
And so he rambled about something else.
And you listened.
Trying to absorb as much as possible. Trying to understand. Trying to make sense.
But then, as you were putting the dishes in the sink and talking about the next few weekends and how busy his schedule would be, he did it again.
He brought her up again.
“I’ll try to come home as much as I can,” he said, “but y’know, if you ever want to come to a race one day, I’d love to have you there. Not just you, but Liv, too. Like, not now, of course, but later, when you’re ready. I’d like that.”
And like a cherry on top, while you had your hands submerged in warm soapy water, he asked, “Hey, is it weird if I frame that little drawing Liv made the other day?”
You stopped.
And blinked at the plate you had in your hands.
“The one she said was for good luck?” Lando added, pacing in the kitchen. Not in a nervous way, but in that very particular excited version of him. Full of caffeine. Hair sticking up in three different directions. Hands moving along with his words. Babbling.
Always babbling.
“Or maybe not frame it but put it on the fridge or… I don’t know… Something. Just… Somewhere I can always see it… Y’know? Would that be weird?”
You blinked again.
“Because I won’t if it’s weird… Don’t want to make it weird…”
“Lando…” you mumbled, eyes still fixed on the dish in your hand.
“I mean I don’t know what the protocol is here… I know you said you wanted to take things slow when it comes to her, and I totally get it… I mean you know way better than I do, so I trust your judgment… It’s just that she’s so great, y’know? And that drawing is so cute. It’s been back and forth with me for weeks now, but I wanted to check with you because I—”
“For the love of God!” You dropped the sponge and the plate and turned around, water dripping from your fingers as you glared at him. “Lando, I swear I love you so much, but can you just please shut the fuck up for a moment?”
Lando stopped.
No. Lando froze.
Mid-step.
Not even looking at you.
Just.. Hand reaching into the cabinet. Eyes fixed ahead. Blinking to the clean tableware.
And you didn’t even notice, so you just sighed. Loudly. Dropping your shoulders. Grabbing a tea towel to wipe your hands. And then trying again.
“Sorry. I don’t mean like, shut the fuck up, but just… Y’know, give me a minute to think? You’re like… Nonstop right now! Just going on and on and on about Livie and it’s just—”
“What did you just say?”
You looked at him.
He was still facing away, still frozen on the spot.
“That you’re going on and on about—”
“No. Not that.” He dropped his arms to his sides and turned towards you. “Before.”
You frowned, searching inside your head for whatever you could’ve said that made him look like that right now—pale, shocked, terrified. On the verge of freaking out.
“I don’t know. What did I—”
“Love me,” Lando murmured. “You said you love me.”
“What?”
“You said,” —he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, as if gathering the strength to say the words— “Lando I love you so much but can you please shut the fuck up.”
“Oh.”
“That’s what you said. You said you love me.”
“Shit. Lan…”
You stepped forward.
And he stepped backward.
“Nuh-uh.” He raised one finger, pointing it at you. “Nope. Stay there.”
Your lips tugged up.
“Babe… C’mon.”
“You love me.”
“Mhmm…”
Lando dropped his arm.
Then opened his mouth, then closed it again.
And then he looked away, dropping his posture like he had just been punched in the stomach.
“Holy shit,” he said. “I didn’t—I wasn’t—wow. Wow. Ok. Okay. Yeah. That’s—That’s just… Ok. I mean, did you—You really meant that?”
At that, you laughed.
“Lando…” You dropped the tea towel on the counter and took a step forward, a tiny one. Just to make sure you could. That he wouldn’t run off. “Baby. Just breathe, okay?”
“I am breathing.”
“You’re also sweating.”
“I’m not—” He raised one hand, touching the back of his neck. And then he shook his head. “Maybe, who cares. That’s not the point.”
“Right… Then what’s the point?” you tried, softly this time. Stepping just a bit closer.
“That you love me.”
“Okay.” Standing in front of him, you placed your hands on his chest and nodded. “So? You’ll get used to it.”
Lando snorted and looked at you, his own hands instantly finding your waist. Almost involuntarily. As if they belonged there. As if it was the only natural reaction when having you so close to him.
“You’re just… You think this is funny?”
“A little, yeah.”
“I’m freaking out here.”
“I know. I know you would. That’s why I’ve been holding myself from saying it out loud.”
He pulled you closer, and yet also flinched. Chin and head jerking back slightly while he made sure your body was as close as possible to his. “Why would you ever do that?”
“Why?!” You laughed and slid your hands up his chest, then up his shoulders and neck, until you were able to link your fingers through the short curls on the back of his head. “Did you see your reaction just now?”
“So? Just because I’m weird and freak out like this sometimes doesn’t mean that I… Y’know… That I don’t… I mean I just…”
“I know.” You nodded and launched yourself forward, kissing his cheek before landing back on your feet. “I know you do, babe. So whenever you’re ready. That’s okay.”
He sighed and leaned down, pressing his forehead against yours.
“Bloody hell I do. But now I’m gonna wait until you least expect it. Freak the hell out of you, too.”
You laughed and arched forward, barely lifting off your heels as you reached for a kiss.
Lando reacted quickly, closing his eyes and kissing you back.
And then, around his lips, you murmured, “Bring it on, babe. I dare you.”
