Wise

So, since reading The Infernal devices trilogy, I have always had a deep love of Jem Carstairs' character. I particularly loved how calm he remained in heated situations, even despite his own life issues. Not to mention how wise he was beyond his years, which to me is a beautiful quality. More than ever, his character taught me valuable lessons in life and gave me inspiration. I did aspire to being as calm and wise as he was.

I think I still get a little shock when someone calls me wise or smart. Those are two very important qualities for me personally. Despite hardships throughout my own life, I can safely say I'm proud of how far I've come.

I don't think 'being smart' means getting things right all the time or never making mistakes. It's more so about learning from those mistakes and growing as a person, not comparing yourself to others (as hard as that is sometimes).

I honestly think self reflection on progress is a great way to show how far 'You' have come.
