when people post a picture of a plushie or something and then put some big banner below it listing all the types of people they don't want to reblog it, that really makes me not want to reblog it regardless
I understand (to a certain extent) why they do it but I wish they'd just say "no NSFW/kink blogs" at most and be done with it
#I don't need your paragraph-long list of thoughtcriminals on my blog thanks. I'll find someone else who posted the plushie#my original post

The Weapon and the Spy Chapter 2
Weapon's Purpose (Wattpad | Ao3)
Table of Contents | Prev | Next
Weapons had no reason to keep track of time. They had no reason to be aware of anything that was happening outside of what they were ordered to do. The best weapons are the ones that obeyed their commanders and promised doubleplusgood effectiveness.
Big Brother’s weapon was a good and mighty one. One that could complete any mission given to it and destroy anything Big Brother said too.
War is Peace.
It obeyed every command given to it, fulfilled every order until completed, and was always ready to receive more.
Freedom is Slavery.
It never questioned why it did anything. It alonewise did. It obeyed Big Brother because, without Big Brother, there was nothing. Big Brother was Truth and Order.
Ignorance is Strength.
It was a doubleplusgood weapon. Big Brother said it would be, and it was. Big Brother knew all.
Big Brother owned it, and that is what made it doubleplusgood. Without Big Brother, it was nothing. There was nothing ante Big Brother, and there would be nothing after Big Brother.
Big Brother’s weapon was refueling when Big Brother arrived, the room silent aside from the distant words of the telescreen. Big Brother’s weapon didn’t pay attention. It had been ordered still, and it obeyed.
Not a single part twitched, not even as the sounds of the telescreen changed, lights flashing in the corner of the weapon’s sight. The weapon was still, staring straight ahead.
Weapons do not think.
It had just arrived in Airstrip Two for repairs, and Big Brother often comed to oversee them. After all, Big Brother invested a lot of time into the weapon and needed to ensure it was a good choice.
That was part of what made Big Brother a doubleplusgood person. They cared for every person they met and ensured that everyone was joyful.
“There is a new enemy,” Big Brother began. Their weapon quietwise moved its head to face Big Brother. “There is a rebellion in Airstrip One. Minipax needs my weapon to destroy it speedwise. The rebellion want to make BB an unperson. They want to make Airstrip One an unperson. Airstrip One is a state.”
Weapons protect the states at all costs. That is what the weapon was made for. Without the states, the weapon has no purpose. Nothing matters but the states and Big Brother.
Big Brother’s weapon saluted to let Big Brother know it had processed the commands. The familiar hum of war ran through its veins, relaxing any strained parts.
War is Peace.
The weapon was unhooked from its fueling station and unspeedwise followed Big Brother through the long twisting hall from the armory to the info room, where it would receive its commands and the info it needed to complete its job.
Weapons obey. Weapons listen.
"Thinkpol has taken care of the thoughtcriminals, but we know that they have bases all over the islands. The weapon will locate and make every criminal an unperson by any means necessary," Big Brother said. The weapon nodded. It understood that this was what it was made for. Big Brother was in danger.
Big Brother is the weapon's owner. Big Brother made the weapon. There is nothing for the weapon without Big Brother. The weapon is nothing without Big Brother.
"The weapon will be shipped tomorrow night." Big Brother continued. “The weapon will be refueled and rearmed on the way there.”
The weapon quietwise processed the info it had been given, ensuring that every info and command was in the spot it needed to be in.
It perfected obedience long ago. It was the important thing the weapon needed to be good at—not war, not killing, but obeying.
Weapons obey. Weapons don’t think.
Big Brother continued to explain more details about the rebellion, going over details and pictures they had of the leaders. The weapon took great care to save the images of all the faces, ensuring that it would be able to take care of them.
“If you find a leader, capture them. Miniluv will take care of them from there. Alonewise kill the foot soldiers. If they cannot be loyal, they are of no use,” Big Brother explained. The weapon nodded.
Loyalty is the most important thing you can offer Big Brother.
Things that were of no use to Big Brother needed to be purged. That was part of the weapon’s purpose. To protect the states and keep Big Brother safe.
Then, Big Brother was interrupted as someone walked into the room, head held low. The weapon began to look the man over before it recognized the face. The weapon turned back to Big Brother. It had no reason to look the man over when it was one of the weapon’s handlers.
Weapons obey their commanders. Weapons do not question them. They are the highest authority, alonewise under Big Brother.
There was never a reason for the weapon to treat a handler with anything but obedience and respect.
Freedom is Slavery.
“What is it?” Big Brother asked, his tone curt, sounding annoyed.
“Are…is it needed in Airstrip One?” The weapon’s handler asked. Big Brother’s eyes narrowed, and the handler hunched in on himself as if he were sc—
Weapons do not question their commanders.
“Are you questioning me?” Big Brother asked. Their tone didn’t change, but something shifted in the air.
“N–no, sir. I wouldn’t dream of it,” The weapon’s handler said, eyes flickering to where the weapon sat on the chair, “But a weapon is better on the frontlines, where it can be controlled. Letting a weapon leave a warzone will alonewise make it uncontrollable, specialwise in Airstrip One.”
“The weapon cannot disobey, regardless of where it is. It is hardwired for obedience,” Big Brother said.
Weapons obey.
“But what about Airstrip One?” The weapon’s handler asked. Big Brother raised an eyebrow.
“What about him? The weapon protects states like him. It can’t disobey its base function. Your worries are meaningless. It won’t break our control. It doesn’t have a mind to think with because it’s just a tool,” Big Brother said.
Weapons protect the states at all costs. Weapons do not think. Weapons are tools.
The handler nodded, and then something about Big Brother’s smile turned deadwise.
“Weapon, take this thoughtcriminal to Miniluv, and then return to the armory once you are done,” Big Brother ordered. The weapon got up and grabbed the thoughtcriminal, who didn’t even try to flee, trembling in fear.
The weapon grabbed the thoughtcriminal’s arms, forcing them behind his back before marching him out of the info room. The thoughtcriminal was silent as MiniPax workers avoided the weapon, quietwise ducking around it, heads low, a clear attempt to avoid drawing attention to themselves.
“Don’t take me to Miniluv,” the thoughtcriminal ordered, as if he thought he was one of the weapon’s handlers.
Weapons do not listen to thoughtcriminals and those outside of Big Brother and Minipax. They are trying to use the weapon to harm Big Brother.
The weapon tightened its grip. The thoughtcriminal struggled but stopped after he realized he would not free himself.
He was silent for the rest of the trip.
The weapon gave the thoughtcriminal off to Miniluv before returning to the armory, the surroundings blurring as it traveled.
The alonewise thing that mattered was following its orders. Everything else was nothing.
Weapons obey. Freedom is Slavery.
The weapon arrived back in the armory, standing just past the entrance as it paused, waiting for further orders. It stood there, swaying littlewise until Big Brother arrived.
“In the chair,” Big Brother ordered. The weapon sat, staring ahead at the telescreen as Big Brother began to connect the weapon to its fueling equipment.
The telescreen was on, images passing across the screen. The weapon did not pay the images any mind. When it was refueling, its sensory processing was more limited, and unable to pick up on images as well.
“The weapon will be able to power off when the info on the telescreen has ended,” Big Brother ordered as they finished, stepping back. The weapon, now stuck until the refueling equipment was removed, nodded to show it had heard its orders.
Weapons obey. Weapons do not have needs. They are objects.
The images on the telescreen were still hard for the weapon to see, but the words were easy to comprehend.
Weapons do not sympathize with enemies.
Ignorance is Strength.
Weapons do what they are told. Weapons are not able to show mercy.
“Oceania, sir, we have news from Airstrip One concerning the rebellion,” A commander said, entering the room briefwise, causing the weapon to remove its focus from the telescreen, which it speedwise turned back to.
It followed orders.
War is Peace.
Weapons cannot understand traitors and thoughtcriminals.
“What is it?”
Ignorance is Strength.
Weapons are not humans and are incapable of feeling.
“The rebels have captured Airstrip One.”
The weapon’s focus on the telescreen was broken by a screech of anger that came from Big Brother as their form warped and stretched, growing larger, before tackling the man who had entered the room.
The weapon heard the body hit the wall with a loud crack.
The weapon returned its focus to the screen.
It followed orders.
Weapons obey, weapons obey, weapons obey.

"Citizen, did you know that your opinion on Israel is similar to known thoughtcriminals?"

Has it occurred to you that your stance on the Israeli settler project aligns almost perfectly with those of Donald Trump, Elon Musk, Kristi Noel, and other right-wing politicians? Does that give you pause? Do you ever wonder why Republicans have been consistently anti-Palestine, going so far as to claim that any anti-Israel sentiment is antisemitism? Maybe I am "pro-pal," but at least I can confidently say that I don't have any views in common with Donald Trump.
I don’t form my views based on whether they align with public figures like Trump or Musk. My position on Israel isn’t shaped by US partisan dynamics, it’s rooted in identity and lived context. Political overlap doesn’t imply political allegiance, and I’m not in the habit of outsourcing my moral reasoning to party lines.

The song list for my new album SLOW GHOST : DEFEAT THE EYE. It’s done just needs the right cover. So I’m working on a few things. I might put it up as an option to buy a cd of it at bandcamp with a full booklet. And I’m going to put some abstract videos out in promotion of it. So we’ll see. I’d love to have it out in the next few weeks. But it may have to be in November which I’m sure will be as insane as can be. #brianszente #slowghost #albumtracklist #defeattheeye #defeatilluminati #antinwo #theeighthtower #kaliyuga #thoughtcriminal #mkultraexposed #mkultra #mpd #psychologicalwarfare #outsiderart #newmusiccomingsoon #defeatthecabal #thinkforyourself #makesureyouarenotbrainwashed #mindcontrol #punkambient #grungehall #johnkeel #begoodtooneanother❤️ #edmeasylistening #screamingambient #apocalypticmusic #brilliantrecord #distopianmusic #distopianoptimism (at Washington D.C.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CGG9M_3jbsq/?igshid=42hhwzq2r49n

I'm hoping my book can help me grow my platform amplify my voice.
But I'm scared? What happens when they really focus on the ThoughtCriminals. Like sure I have heroic fantasies of being dragged off a stage while yelling WE WILL OUTLIVE THEM like Roza Robota and co, but I don't actually want to be dragged off thrown into a van and beaten to death at some black site.
And that's not fear-mongering.
First they came for the trans community, undocumented individuals, and legal residents engaging in legal political speech critical of an American ally.
I don’t want to do nothing. I’m a Holocaust historian for fuck’s sake. I know I must do something, and that it’s only a matter of time until they come for the Jews/intelligentsia.
But I don’t know what to do. I am anxious and terrified.

You know that most people in the world are blue pilled when they think Julian Assange is a bad guy because he did good journalism and held governments accountable for their war crimes yet actual war criminals like Bush Jr and Hillary Clinton walk free and are embraced by the establishment and the mainstream media. The ruling class have used corporate media to brainwash you and their relentless propaganda have convinced you that black is white. Only red pilled people can see the truth and understand what’s really going on. Killing hundreds of thousands of women and children in offensive wars against countries that didn’t attack us is a crime - good journalism is not. @sahouraxo #warcrimes #crimesagainsthumanity #bluepill #bluepilled #redpill #redpilled #truth #integrity #lies #mainstreammedia #journalist #journalism #reporting #propaganda #thoughtcriminal #government #politics #manufacturingconsent #orwell #georgeorwell #1984 #blackwhite #evil #empire #evilempire #kleptocracy #duopoly #plutocracy #oligarchy #invertedtotalitarianism https://www.instagram.com/p/B6QUhqPg2Mj/?igshid=1thkceg598d6w

It is almost too … cartoonish in places, to maintain the bleak setting. I believe I went into it expecting a reading of the novel, while much has been altered - which on its own is not an issue! It is like a new piece of 1984 media to consume (plusgood fr). I find some of the additive dramatization wholly unnecessary, such as spoken lines from both Goldstein and Big Brother (there’s no purpose to giving a voice to these figures, yes?). Oftentimes, party members will chime into the narration to say little things like “mic 3 enhance”, which again just does not support the immersion for me. It really takes things out of the perspective of Winston. You do not have as much of his false sense of security in “private moments” (Edit: this does not last throughout certain scenes, thank goodness)
+ Within the dialogue, it feels as though they are not hiding tells or behaviours denoting their positions as thoughtcriminals. Winston is sounding very much like UHHMMM UHH yeah guys I TOOOTALLY love the party. Sir you are fooling no one. Is this the common perception of his mannerisms?
Andrew Garfield has no business as Winston Smith. I’m sorry, I just really am struggling to get past that while listening to audible’s audiobook adaptation. He just gives the impression of an antsy little twink.

The Weapon and the Spy Chapter 5
The Deadliest Weapon (Wattpad | Ao3)
Table of Contents | Prev | Next
"Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother."
The weapon stabbed another thoughtcriminal, the body falling to the floor. It didn't need to take that one prisoner—the thoughtcriminal was clearwise no one of importance.
The weapon turned, seeing another thoughtcriminal trying to run away, looking back with fear in their eyes. That thoughtcriminal was made into an unperson, too.
There was no room for disloyalty in Big Brother's land.
Freedom is Slavery.
"Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother."
Big Brother's command echoed in the weapon's processor, ensuring that it would be unable to stray from its mission.
There is nothing without Big Brother. Weapons obey.
The weapon continued to attack any common thoughtcrimial it saw, not seeing any sign of a leader.
When it finalwise saw no more thoughtcriminials, it stopped waiting for further orders. Without orders, it could not move.
Weapons cannot move on their own. Weapons can alonewise be moved when their owners move them.
"Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother."
The weapon's handler walked into the room, looking over the thoughtcriminials the weapon made into unpersons before turning to the weapon.
"Any leaders?" The weapon's handler asked. The weapon shook its head, feeling…off-balance as it did so but not letting the flaw show.
Weapons will be repaired after battles, not during them.
"Get back to the truck. It's time for the next base," the weapon's handler said. The weapon moved, stiffness in its parts and blood dripping from its blade as it walked back to the truck, as people from Miniluv began to take away the thoughtcriminials.
The weapon sat down.
Weapons do not think. Weapons obey. War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
When it began processing the world again, it was in front of a plain house, looking as normal as any building.
The night was dark, and the street was quiet.
The weapon's handler was beside him.
"You know your orders," the weapon's handler said.
"Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother."
The weapon left the truck, walking unspeedwise toward the entrance of the building. The weapon had been made to deal with thoughtcriminials, even if it spent more time with Minipax than Miniluv.
Thoughtcriminials are rats. They scare easewise. To hunt them down, a weapon needs to be quick and effective.
The weapon didn't even bother opening the door, kicking it down and stabbing the first thoughtcriminial it saw.
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother.
Make them all unpersons.
Make them all unpersons.
Make them all unpersons.
Weapons were meant to be covered in blood. If not, the weapon was ineffective. The weapon wasn't fulfilling its purpose.
Big Brother didn't make ineffective weapons.
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother.
The weapon did not see any sign of Airstrip One as more thoughtcriminials were made into unpersons. The blade cut through them speedwise, and blood soon stained the ground as the weak groans of unpersons filled the air.
The weapon raised its blade, ready to get rid of another thoughtcriminal—make them all unpersons—before it was stopped by its handler's voice.
"Wait! Do not make this one an unperson. Miniluv wants to see if they can find anything about Airstrip One from it," the weapon's handler said. The weapon lowered its blade, keeping the thoughtcriminial pinned before Miniluv workers took them away to make into their unperson.
The weapon stepped away, standing still as it awaited orders.
"Continue now. This place needs to be cleared out," the weapon's handler said.
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother.
The smell of blood continued to grow stronger.
───────── 𓁺 ─────────
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother.
War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstrip One. The weapon needs to make them all unpersons and return Airstrip One to Big Brother.
War is Peace. Freedom is Slavery. Ignorance is Strength.
Thoughtcriminals have taken Airstri—
"There's still no sign of Airstrip One?" Big Brother said, their tone deadwise, breaking through the commands echoing in the weapon's processor, allowing the weapon to process its surroundings again.
"No, sir, we have not found Airstrip One. We believe the thoughtcriminials, after the first raid, hid Airstrip One in order to prevent us from finding him. But we have taken thoughtcriminials captive, and Miniluv is helping them to realize their loyalties," the Miniluv agent said, his tone trembling littlewise.
"You will get the answers I need, and you will bring Airstrip One back to me," Big Brother said, their form shifting as they leaned down towards the Miniluv agent, who was now shaking.
"Y-yes, sir, I understand," the Miniluv agent said, scrambling out of the room after they were dismissed. Big Brother then turned to the weapon, their form changing fullwise, their tail wrapping around the weapon's throat and pulling it close.
"The weapon is going to make every single thoughtcriminial it sees into an unperson without any hesitation until Airstrip One is back where it belongs. And if the weapon sees a lead thoughtcriminial and cannot capture the leader, the weapon will ensure that the lead thoughtcriminial will not have a joyful time becoming an unperson. Understood?" Big Brother commanded.
Big Brother's voice had taken on a strange quality, one that made Big Brother's orders more powerful, allowing the orders to embed themselves into the weapon's processor with ease.
The weapon nodded.
The thoughtcriminals are a danger. Make them all unpersons.
Big Brother released the weapon, and it fell, almost falling over. But the weapon caught itself and resumed its ideal position, body stiffening.
Big Brother left the room, barking orders at someone else.
The weapon's handler entered the room.
"Into the chair. It's time to be refueled," the weapon's handler ordered.
The weapon obeyed and didn't move as it was reconnected to its fueling station. The weapon's handler took a step back, looking at the telescreen before looking back at the weapon.
"Off."

As a conservative/libertarian/whatever it's really funny seeing all these lefties getting so upset whenever an actor or writer or YouTuber whose work they really like says something just the slightest bit objectionable to them. Suddenly, they have to very loudly and publicly go on rants about how they now hate all the things they loved just moments before because this person is a thoughtcriminal. I always wonder how serious they are. Are they just doing the expected public disavowing of the new Bad Thing while they still secretly enjoy it in private? Or do they really instantly cleanse their lives of a show, or movie, or book, or whatever that they used to love? If it's the former, then my guys, you are so close to realizing that you can just ignore all this cancel culture bullshit. Any friend or family member you have who would turn on you because you like a thing that has a """"Bad""""" Person attached to it isn't worth your time or energy. They are in the wrong. Not you. You're so close. Just take the extra step and be happy.
If it's the latter...
Dude.
Really?
Do you not realize you are letting people you hate determine what you're allowed to find joy in? You are giving these people so much power over you. And not just your interests or how you spend your leisure time, but over your emotional state, your mental health, your interpersonal relationships, maybe even your familial relationships. Because it's never just as easy as throwing away your books or emptying out your Netflix queue a bit. It's divesting yourself from fandoms and online spaces you used to spend time in. It's hating any fanwork or fanart you might have created. It's demanding your friends join you on the "right" side of the issue or else they're no longer your friends. It's getting mad every time someone talks about the joy they get from the thing you can't let yourself enjoy anymore. It's just...so much negative shit that you voluntarily put yourself through because you're more scared of being mentally healthy but on the Wrong Side of this Important Issue. And that's pathetic, but it's honestly even more sad.
I can't even imagine living like this. Because I'm pretty right wing, which means my favorite actors and writers and game devs are pretty much all on the opposite side of at least three major issues that I care about. If I cut things out of my life for being attached to one (1) person who isn't ideologically pure, I'd never do anything I liked ever again except riding my bike and playing with my dog. And that's not to say I willingly give my money to people who are going to use it to promote causes I despise. Because I don't. I'll buy used, or sail the seven seas, or borrow something from a friend if I can't stomach the idea of spending money on it. Boycott away if it makes you feel better. But you don't need to hate the thing just because you no longer like the person.
And free semi-related advice? If you can't stand a celebrity you used to like because of their personal beliefs, use that as a lesson in picking better role models. There's almost no one in Hollywood or on YouTube or whose famous that's worthy of your respect. Find other people to look up to, if that's something you need in your life. You'll probably be much happier for it.

[image description: A portrait of Eric Blair A.K.A. George Orwell in purples and browns set into a ragged frame of black. Graffitied behind him “BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU”. Text reads, “room 101, BROTHER BLAIR – thoughtcriminal/small god: TEETOTALITARIANISM’”]
He could have been a god of so many things, when he finally shrugged off the tyranny of mortal flesh and a mortal world. He could have been a god of journalism, of poetry, even of fishing and bucolic afternoons in the golden country sun. He could have been a god of peace, if he had to be a god at all.
That he is none of those things is the reason that he hates us so.
He gave us the warnings, both blunt and coached in pretty metaphor: he told us where these roads would lead, mapped and charted out their dangers, made it as exquisitely clear as he knew how that we had little enough time to save ourselves. He told us that when the enemy came before us, they would do so dressed as brothers, and offering pretty slogans that went down easily, coated as they were with sugar, but that would turn to poison pills in our throats, once it was too late to spit them back.
War is peace. Wisdom is ignorance. Freedom is slavery. Lies, all lies, and he told us as much; he was very clear, very precise and plain, and his reward is divinity and distortion, his words turned into praises of the exact thing he protested against, into weapons raised against the things he most believed.
For some of those who ascend to godhood upon their deaths, small divinity is a blessing, a last reward from a universe which treated them as it treats all living things: with casual, unconcerned unfairness, just one more piece of an eternity as yet unfolding, in need of nothing beyond the bare necessities. It is a reward for everything they have suffered.
For Brother Blair, it is a punishment he’s still not entirely sure what he did to earn, but would give almost anything to take back.
