learning abt friendship decay and "not reaching out to your friends for months at a time unprompted is not neurotypical behaviour" has me feeling a certain way

#experiencing some BIG FEELINGS OVER THIS REVELATION #listen i have never ever been bothered abt not seeing someone in a while or making time to talk to them bc in my mind its like not thst muc #time has passed. i mean it with every fibre of my being that when im like 'oh its ok even though we havent talked in a while and have our #own things going on it doesnt mean we're not friends anymore since we left things on a good note 8 months ago' i sincerely believe that #and for the longest time i just thought everybody makes peace with it at some point and not automatically assuming the other person doesnt #wanna talk to me anymore or smth. my longest lasting friendships are with ppl who work the same way i just thouhght that was normal #whatever organ everybody has that makes them reach out to their friends and plan hang outs i probably dont have it #i was already hesitant to ask out Alex bc i spend almost every waking hour doing smth that isnt talking to ppl unless they happen to be in #the vicinity. and at first it was bc i planned on making sure i had everything set up so i dont get stressed out and do it one at a time #but then i find out theres a friendship decay mechanic? and after dating and marrying someone you lose -10 friendship points for every #day u dont talk to them?? actually ive probably been losing friendship points this whole time without knowing bc of this?????#and i notice a lot of my own habits are also reflected in how i play bc ive been avoiding getting close to pierre and marnie since its more #of a professional relationship. like i know theyre npcs but im approaching it the way i would in real life its fucking nuts #i think its a little relieving im playing /as/ a character than myself bc as im playing im just making up little interactions in my head #than approaching things the way i would myself so it takes a bit of the stress off trying to put myself in there as a spectator. but well #being in a relationship demands a certain amount of energy even more so when theyre things that already take up energy on its own #like making time to talk to your partner and make sure they know theyre loved. i dont always have energy to put all my mental focus into it #and this is true for real life so im not really bothered by not dating anyone. but when its a game and i want my character to be with someo #and i know its fully optional and i know i could just apply the same logic to this i dont /want/ to. sometimes i want to experience #the same things other people do at least to a certain degree without the same emotional andmental stakes #no offense krobus #yapping #stardew #stardew valley #puppy plays sdv #sdv #this game has me by the ankles man

SHL women thought of the day: au in which liu qianqiao ends up in tianchuang rather than in ghost valley. she’s hiding, trying to get as far away from yu qiufeng as possible, and what’s a better way to get away from jianghu sects than to go to jinzhou? and zzs would absolutely notice someone else using siji disguise techniques, and i think she’d be a perfect tianchuang recruit: already skilled in something, absolutely no one will notice if she disappears, basically wants to disappear anyway. she wouldn’t give a shit about jin-wang but that’s okay, she doesn’t have to. what she needs now is a different life to slip into and tianchuang provides that for her very comprehensively.

i am going to kill myself my ass has not been understanding a single fucking word of this book i have to write a final essay on in 4 days . sent the most pathetic email in the world abt it to my teacher too i dont think ill be able to look her in the eye

#i had a stress nightmare about it last night and thinkng abt it made me so nauseous that i sat in the bathroom for 2 hours today #genuinely these past 3 months have been one of the worst school experiences of my life #i thouhght this spring was goingg to beit man i coped with my seasonal depression better than ive donein recent years and have all A's #but i think this string of finals is actually going to haunt me #heliichats

finished watching warrior nun and i think. i have thouhghts in my head

i liked season one. i thought ava was a super annoying protagonist at first, especially her internal monologue ws agonizing, but i liked the way she was forced to grow and mature and did it at her own pace. the OCS was a cool idea that wasn't fleshed out very well but i liked where they were going. also in season one the show played a lot with moral grey areas, touched on sensitive topics regarding christianity, the catholic church and it's intersection and drama with people of the sciences, and became quite critical of both the church and the science. i really liked the tendency towards agnosticism how the truth about god and the afterlife stayed a mystery in this season.

in the s1 finale ava confronts angel adriel and they have this long interesting discussion about the catholic church and how it abuses and controls people by withholding scientific evidence of the existence of god and the afterlife because it gives them the power to claim to speak through god and i was like ohmygod. wow this is so cool omg. what's gonna happen now

and then season two is just uhhhhh catholic church propaganda

the plot twist at the end of season one was awful. it felt like a plot twist just for the sake of it. basically the twist is that actually the catholic church is innocent and the bad guy in this is some playboy satan from the underground. why would vincent betray them for this cheap satan knockoff? they barely touch on his motives. cheap satan knockoff is the WORST. maybe the worst villain i've ever seen. he is just cartoonishly pure evil and completely overpowered. and then the best part is he starts like the worst religious campaign of all time and the entire world starts praising his as their no.1 daddy. the pope gets grilled on national tv and now five nuns have to save the whole world all by themselves the end

i'm just so disappointed, i thought season one was very promising. but the way the worldbuilding was advanced in season 2 just fucked it up for me and i don't know if that can be fixed. the finale wasn't completely terrible so maybe if there's a season 3 it won't be so bad. but for now i'm just mad

well at least we get gay nuns

not sure how i feel about the writing style kinda like it kinda wish it was a bit more cohesive

at first i thouhght it was just because the character was very young and that the language would mature with her and in some ways it has but not as much as i thought

i am enjoying the book so far regardless of that <3
