The judge casts him an odd glance, but Erk decidely ignores it. He doesn't care how he's percieved in this farce of a courtroom, he just wants to get this over and done with.

"Unless you're lying about even having a friend in the first place." Erk glances over at the defendant for a mere brief moment, taking note of how nervous he looked. Was that simply a matter of being put on edge by being on trial or was that his default state? If it was his default state, then Erk couldn't see him having the courage to even make a single friend, let alone accept a random box of tea from said "friend" without inspecting it throughly beforehand.

"What's your "friend's" name? Would it be possible to have her testify?" Erk asks, tapping his foot idly against the ground as he multitasked between the world's most uninteresting session of court and the much more interesting book in his hand, "After all, if she's the one who brought you the bag with the herbs, then she might know something you don't. I suggest calling her in at once, if that is alright with the defense."

Oh ok. I get now why a lot of people didn't vibe with the ending.

All and all: excellent manga, overall very good final act, too rushed final 2-3 chapters but weak and honestly mediocre epilogue, which makes the high of the ending kind of leave a bitter taste. I think Noda had a good steed and suddenly he had to finish and had to rush all. So the ending in the sense of the final arc was good but the ending proper (final couple chapters) + epilogue......... Not so much

the way that it has to be is NOT a sol song because its about a robot accepting their imminent obsolescence. and i personally dont think that sol 'changed my subclass to avoid going down' bufo wld ever stop fighting to prevent a sad ending, no matter how obviously pointless. to me. however .

Tbh I find it a bit exasperating that most posts about how it would be bad to make some species extinct is because other species rely on it. Actually even if there was a weird useless little bug that idk ate detritus that blows in on the wind and then dies in a salt lake where nothing organic breaks it down it would also be bad if it went extinct 👍

number one thing I dislike about my job is that when one person makes a mistake (that can't be easily fixed) it becomes Everyone's problem even the people who have nothing to do with it. specifically it's always the team who takes our work after we're done with it like. if THEY make a mistake the higher ups come to US and are like okay how can we prevent this in the future ? UMM. girl idk maybe talk to them about it ?? why are we now being given extra tasks to ensure they are doing THEIR work correctly ? they should be paying more attention especially since this shit happens MONTHLY !!!!

just read a review of the lego movie from 2014 and it is genuinely a horrible piece of literature and through perusing the comments underneath the review, I have gained an intense dislike of the reviewer. it's not even that I liked the lego movie and he didn't it's just that a lot of the stuff he says is factually incorrect, really stupid-sounding, or he doesn't provide any real reason, and in the comments, he reacts to even the friendliest and politest constructive criticism as if it's a personal attack on him.

Not to be a killjoy (though it is what I do best) but the unsafe and rough handling of a baby Pygmy hippo in a pretty substandard Thai zoo being meme-ed into something funny and cute really shows just how much groupthink plays into public perception of animal welfare.

Moo Deng shows avoidance, threat displays and stress around her keepers that are constantly man-handling her, blasting her with a hose and harassing her. The enclosure is mostly concrete, which is horrible for her soft feet. There looks to be some substrate but there doesn’t seem to be any areas for wallowing or deep water wading.

There’s also very easy access of this hippo to the public with no places to hide. I’d love if someone could shed more light on the enclosures but from what I’ve seen it’s not great.

Also the free contact and forcing into tubs that the keepers do is only going to create an avoidant and potentially aggressive and dangerous Pygmy hippo.

But the public happily overlook that because she’s cute. It’s a similar attitude with seals too.

Stop rewarding bad husbandry with clout. Baby animals deserve agency and respect and to grow up without getting harassed and feeling the need to defend themselves constantly.

hey um cogdis spoilers under the cut but i have a question

what's the damage scaling supposed to be on fobbyiyg... i know he has 50k health and i looked up some of his resistances but um... i dont think the battle is... working

because it seems to be breaking on and off for me lol...

i got a text glitch that made it seem like i was dealing like 25k damage with beam omega and i was trying to figure out what was going on until i realized that it was 2 hits on like, the same line of text, overlaying

and uh, then mayhem shotgun dealt 3k damage.

so i. i dont know whats going on actually.

also my first try he did like nothing and then suddenly did about all of his moves at once. he's being normal his second try. also i stopped dealing 3k damage by now. so i think there actually was a bug. help lol

So, um.

I may be starting to get a weeeee bit annoyed with people on the r/Hermitcraft subreddit.

Like, when I made the meme that is still getting an insane amount of notes (holy crap thank you so much I am super flattered), it was understandable that people didn't know what it was in reference to. I went, "ah, probably should have linked Cleo's vid!" and lived and learned, you know?

But Cleo's video has been out for a week. It's only twenty minutes long, and the moment when they and Grian meet up is five minutes into the video.

And like. Grian seems to really want people to see his friends' videos? Like when Gem's snail arrived, he deliberately left that plot thread dangling to be answered in Gem's video. The guy has made an eight hour video showing off the other Hermits' bases. I also highly suspect that one reason Grian is one of the last people to upload collab videos he's in is because his higher subscriber count means his video will automatically racket up to the top of the recommended page, and he wants his friends' videos to get a head start on him.

So the fact that there's this significant amount of Grian fans who won't even watch five minutes of someone else's video to get an answer that Grian left hanging is ... it's just super disappointing, ngl.

And just. Don't even get me started on that "continuity error" comment. I actually had a pretty long response to that on reddit. TL;DR: it's not a continuity error because there's perfect continuity as long as you watch Cleo's video.

Grian does not have to fill in the gaps, that's not his responsibility, nor should it be. The point of a series like Hermitcraft is that you get multiple perspectives. If you're upset that one perspective doesn't show everything, then you shouldn't be watching SMPs.
