I wonder if this still technically counts as canon compliant cus its the same scene and dialogue and doesnt go against anything in the book because we dont get Loki's thoughts.

Anyways im having a fucking blast with Loki's narration.

I do love my kids, despite popular belief and some of my actions. Yes, I'm aware that forcing one of my daughters to marry a giant doesn't exactly scream 'Parent of the Year'. But it'll only be for a day at the latest. Then I'll be free and kill everyone—except my children and my wife.

"Welcome, Magnus Chase!" I grinned at the boy, "I hope you'll excuse me if I don't get up.".

"Gods." The boy muttered, looking at me with...

Was that pity in his eyes? I haven't seen that kind of feeling towards me in years. More pure hate and disdain is what I'm used to.

I chuckled, forgetting for a moment. "Oh no; no gods here! They never visit. They sealed us in and left us. It's just me and my lovely wife, Sigyn. Say hello, Sigyn."

Sigyn stayed silent, as usual. She looked up at the entourage but didn't show any emotion.

"Oh, that's right," I said bitterly. "Sigyn hasn't spoken in a thousand years—ever since the Aesir, in their infinite wisdom, butchered our sons and abandoned us here to suffer for eternity."

It was actually two thousand and sixteen years, ten months, and four days. But hey, who's counting?

"But where are my manners? This is a happy occasion! How are you, Thyrm, son of Thyrm, son of Thyrm, son of Thyrm?"

Happy for me, more like. I can't say the same for anyone else in this cave; most of them will be dead. Sigyn hasn't been truly happy for two thousand and sixteen years, ten months, and four days, and my daughters have already made their feelings well known about this.

The giant groom—nope, nope! I can't even say it, and if I have to ever again, I'm throwing myself on Heimdall's sword—the giant looked uncomfortable.

The discomfort might have been because it was his wedding day, which was understandable. I remember my wedding day with my first wife, Angrboda. Gods, I was so nervous I shapeshifted into a goat at the altar. It was so embarrassing!

Or the discomfort could have been because he was in my presence. Which is also understandable, considering my —mostly true— terrible reputation.

Either way, I was enjoying his discomfort. I'm really not liking the way he is looking at my daughter.

"H-hello, Loki. It—it's actually just three Thryms..."

I do not care, I thought.

"And I am ready to seal our alliance with a marriage".

And I have been ready to be done with it since you walked in. I also thought but decided to, for once, keep my mouth shut voluntarily.

Instead I said, "Yes, of course! You brought the Skofnung sword!"

[2024/05/06] Stormlord Thyrm (Original Tarnished)

This is the Tarnished of my 4th playthrough, which it had a pretty fun build I think (described underneath the drawing)

The entire build is based around using the Storm Blade ash of war. When you use it, you shoot a wind projectile forwards by swinging your sword. But, if your sword swing connects with an enemy, it will deal additional damage! The combined damage of the wind projectile and the sword swing will always be greater than the damage of a regular sword attack. On top of that, Storm Blade has a fixed attack time, regardless of what weapon class you put it on. This attack speed is faster than the one of a greatsword, meaning that you can attack faster by using Storm Blade on a greatsword, than by using the standard attacks of the greatsword (learned this on reddit of all places, leading to the creation of this build). You can boost this damage further with weapon buffs like Electrify Armament or Bloodflame Blade

In order to maximize our Storm Blade-ing, we need a lot of FP. This is why we'll hold the Sacrificial Axe in our off-hand and equip the Ancestral Spirit's Horn talisman, both of which restore a small amount of FP on killing an enemy. With both these combined, you regain so much FP from regular enemies that you'll practically never run out of FP in the overworld [note, this was written before the DLC came out, and I haven't taken this character into the dlc yet, but presumably the Blessed Blue Dew Talisman works better than the Ancestral Spirit's Horn]. For damage, using the Shard of Alexander [and the Enraged Divine Beast] talisman[s] works wonders

Then, to stick to the storm theme, I used the Flamberge, because it kinda looks like a lightning bolt (I know it's supposed to be flames, but if you squint hard enough it works), and you can use the Stormhawk Deenh spirit summon

Flashes of lightning danced in the sky of the holy realm of Asgard, and it's thunder seemed of particularly foul mood. Snapping, biting at the ears of the lay folk of Odin's sacred village.

"Come now, this is hardly appropriate behavior for a bride preparing to meet her bridegroom." Uttered a voice dripping with bemusement scarcely masked by any pretense.

"I might know Mjolnir's first target once I free it from those filthy monster's hands, brother." The Thunderer grumbled as handmaidens and sorcerer's in equal measure applied material for Thor's guise.

Loki looked down at his dress and firgure, "What brother, Lady Frigg?"

"I am in no mood."

"You are most certainly in a mood." Loki replied.

Thor simple swallowed the nothing in his mouth, desperately trying to wet his tongue, "This is magic enough, now...where in jotunheim is this beast's castle?" Picking up an axe he found in the armory.

"The domain of Icjarl Thyrm, Jarnvidr, my dear Lady Frigg." Loki teased.

500 years later.

Angrboda ran an oiled cloth across the beard of her axe, as she intermediately glanced back up to Loki and Sigyn, the two had been speaking for some time now and having the Odinspawn so close made her skin crawl.

The frozen realm, Jotunheim, more than 10 years now in ruins. The night the rainbow spear fell, millions lost in minutes, and billions followed as the years passed. She was there, in sight, Odin's fangs in the flesh, kinslayer.

"Does the svikari know anything useful or was this a waste of time." Angrboda asked as the goddess of victory finally stepped away from Loki.

"...."

"Of course." She strapped jarnbjorn to her belt, "Let's go then."

From the other side of the room, Knowhere's new regent spoke up, "You're leaving...already?"

"Yes, Loki, my friend's world hangs in the balance. We simply don't have time to lose." Sigyn said.

Loki shifted uncomfortably, "Maybe I could..." she didn't know how to finish.

The Frost Giantess scowled, "I have seen what you can do, Odinfang. Come, my Lady, our third is somewhere less..." she looked about the trappings of the old Collector, "Here."

Loki held still as moments passed, Sigyn slowly turning to take them somewhere else in the wider cosmos, "If...it's someone you're looking for, I might be able to help after all."

Sigyn looked to her Giantess companion, who grimaced but finally signed, "Very well."
