Hey y'all, weird question time again! Is there anyway to word "I appreciate how unintimidating and unthreatening you are being" as a compliment that does not sound at all like an insult? One of my doctors is the absolute best at it, and I genuinely think it must be a skill he's deliberately cultivated, but I cannot figure out how to word it in a way that doesn't sound slightly insulting. Like, it's a good thing! A very good thing, especially in a doctor! But I cannot figure out how to word it in a way that conveys that

#the person behind the yarn #tj asks weird questions #I have PTSD. It's mostly under control for me and not usually an issue anymore #but I do have a few PTSD triggers I have been unable to get rid of that do occasionally cause problems at doctors visits #primarily that people touching my throat makes me very very tense #I have gotten better! I no longer automatically forcefully remove the hand from touching me #and I can make myself sit still and let doctors check my neck when needed #but I haaaate it and am very very tense the whole time #except with this doc. he is so unthreatening that the very first time I saw him he was able to check my neck without me tensing at all #and I didn't even register it as weird until I'd left his office #(most of the time they are checking for thyroid issues I think? or lymph nodes)#anyway I too have put effort into being able to be nonthreatening and unintimidating #because I used to work with toddlers and I didn't want them to ever hesitate to come to me for help #but all that seems very weird to say to a dude that I have thus far been unable to even ask where he buys his flannel shirts #because dang he has cool flannel shirts. the color combos are unlikely and I would like to buy them as well #but every time I try to word that question I am also like...yeah no that's a weird way to say it I will just not ask #it does not help that the stress of doctor visits tends to mean my word issues flare up lol

gave up on caring if my neighbors think i'm weird for sitting in my car for an hour instead of going inside my house. i can't go inside yet the car protects me from responsibilities 😭

#With the heatwave combined with being ill for like an entire week it seems I've lost like 16 days this month #where I basically did barely anything... grrr.... The passage of time... My Enemy...#Now that I can finally hold down food and stuff I'm feeling a little better mostly and my sickness has probably passed. But I still #feel weird a little bit like.. some lingering weakness or something. I think I'm just already having so many Problems at all times even in #my 'Normal' state that whenever I get sick or something my whole system is thrown off for a while lol #I'm supposed to be writing like 2000 words a day still ghbjhb... I've had multiple days of maybe 1000 - 1500. And a lot of days #where I write maybe 20 - 300. I've still been chipping away at the same single quest dialogue for all 20 something #days this month so.. AUGH.. Though that also counts the 16 days I did nearly nothing but be sick and overheated #I finally edited that whole big sims video I wanted to post!!! but now there's an issue with it ... T o T #My fault for still almost exclusively using windows movie maker in 2024 lol.. but HHHHhh.. It's like every once in a while randomly #a fully edited video will not be able to be exported. so evil for this to happen to my first sims build tour in a while. but alas..#ANYWAY... I have been slowly working on little things here and there.. in my little scraps of time.. Wishing to be fully productive at #some point. Maybe I can finally finish and post some things soon. like costume photos or sims videos and etc.#BUT HEY.. that solitaire thing is crazy to me.. I don't think I've ever finished a challenge in under 20 seconds #before. huzzah.. tripeaks squad.. OH.. and an image of #curly tail boye.............. he..... I took him to the vet for a check up and he seems surprisingly okay for a 16 year old. except he has #a mild thyroid issue or something so I'll have to give him medicine. But every time he goes in I'm always expecting them to be like #Sorry. Your Son Is Truly Doomed. or etc. so I'm always shocked when he's fine... a strange boy with many strange behaviors #so I can never tell if he's just Being Weird or if he's sick or soemthing ghjbjh #Also the bad thing about never ending summer heat is that when it IS finally cool for a few days. I don't want to do ANYTHING. It's like wh #n it's hot I feel too sick to do anything. And then when it's cooler I'm like 'OUU the first cool day in WEEKS.. i want to just relax and #fully ENJOY the coolness..'' So it's always constant warfare with my body like.. NO ..we cannot SLEEP. We must utilize this small patch #of Non Heatwave to finally be productive and finish things while we don't feel sick. But then it's like ''ohoho...to lay in the cold air of #the morning restfully.. i shall have a little nap with a blanket on for once.. perhaps.. tee hee'' Always at war with the Tired Sleepy #it seems. AAAANyway...... grr............ slowly finishing things. still usually missing my target writing goals..#Hopefully will have some actual art or costumes or something to post soon. Fumbling through the summer weather as usual lol

i think he's glad to be home! unfortunately his saliva/sweat/etc is still radioactive enough that we can't really cuddle him or let him free roam around the house for another 10ish days 😭 but we got him a bigass catio style enclosure with lots of perches and room for all his necessities/toys and set it up inside by the glass patio doors so he can watch birds all day and eek indignantly at us every time we walk in the room 🙃

#we can have physical contact with him for 10 minutes a day for the first week and then up to 20 minutes a day for the second #and then after those 14 days (counting from the initial injection date) we can return him to normal bunnycat life #we also have to keep all of his poop/litter in a sealed bucket for 90 days before the radiation levels decrease enough to throw out #otherwise you can get a huge fine from state waste management services apparently?#thankfully the place that did his procedure said we can bring it to them after these next 10 days and they'll take care of it #it's all kind of a logistical pain in the ass and not very ocd friendly but it's worth it to have a healthy happy bunnycat #his thyroid was just not responding to meds/the special thyroid sparing food so this was kind of the last resort #thank you for inquiring about the bunnylad! he appreciates you checking in #fashionablyfyrdraaca #asks

There are like a hundred reasons people are exhausted no matter what, and hypersomnia disorders (hi lol) are kind of the diagnosis when everything else is ruled out, but when i see people posting about being tired all the time, i always want to be like. there might be help for that you know......... you don't have to be resigned to this......... especially if you've tried changing your lifestyle to no avail, there might be an actual medical issue......... and you deserve to get help for that.........

thank you to the trans women who made that psa about hrt & thyroid issues <3 i wasn't the target audience but it made me realize that the symptoms i've been dealing with for the past 2 years are all signs of an underactive thyroid, which was confirmed by a blood test and which i'm now starting treatment for 😌

#anyway yeah if you gain a small child in weight with no explanation and have muscle aches and memory/concentration issues and constipation #and dry skin and are tired all the time and get fatigued with little effort you might wanna get your thyroid checked #i literally knew nothing about it before i saw that post

Realizing I can no longer make jokes about being unmedicated. Damn 😔

#I think the most shocking one is I have to start going to see a physical therapist #wasn’t expecting that #psychiatric? yes. gynecologist? yes. blood work? not super surprising #but PHYSICAL THERAPY? damn #I guess I wasn’t expecting having to get my thyroid levels checked either but gotta do that #also the birth control I got put on is like. the same stuff they give trans women for hrt I think lmao #I can’t take anything else because APPRENTLY I’m at a higher risk of stroke with it because of other health problems I have #so I’m being given essentially straight estrogen 😭😭😭😭#but anyways most of my problems are getting addressed in some way which is something #it’s all very overwhelming esp knowing I have like four other appointments in the span of a month #but #maybe it will amount to something and I won’t feel miserable all the time anymore lmfao #kaz rambles
