Because there's only one on the floor of the inn they stayed at, and they can't take too long, you know, they can only get so much sleep before they're off to saving themselves and the world again. So they share! Why not? Besides, it's warmer with Karlach.

Just imagine these two huge ass soldiers squeezing into the small tub, half of the water spilling on the floor as their weight pushes it out. Whole Highlands of bubbles surrounding them - they will definitely throw suds at each other, wheezing and splashing even more, then will make their silly hairstyles into even sillier ones. Karlach styling Johnny's mohawk into spikes, Johnny trying to straighten her hair out, but it escapes him and shrinks, so he ends up with his fingers in cute little curls, absolutely unruly.

Also, Karlach's tail just hanging out of the bathtub, because there's not enough space already. Dripping down on the floor and slapping Soap when he tries to ticklefight her or gets too nasty with her hair.

I don't think they end up washing properly. Also the owner of the inn is lucky if they don't shatter and break the tub when they eventually become horny (right after they decide to stop fucking around and actually help each other wash off the grime, scrub their backs, maybe also shave like they usually do) and try to have bathtub sex. There's no way that little thing can accomodate their burly bodies fucking.
