Hello all! This will be my first ever fic I have posted aaa! I'm so sorry if it turns out to be bad, but nevertheless, I hope at least some of you enjoy! \\(≧◡≦)//

As noon falled, so too, did Hu Tao's spirit. She had been sitting here for what felt like hours, awaiting for the red headed antler girl to pay her that very well deserved attention.

It all started when Xingqiu had showed Yanfei this new book series that the Yae Publishing House had published after what felt like year's, and the two of them have been excited ever since to read it together, however, Chongyun had to 'borrow' him well before they could make it to the library. Hu Tao didn't think much of it at first, I mean, how could she? It wasn't normal for Yanfei to sit down and read for an entire day. Did she even eat or drink, possibly take a bathroom break!? Hoo boy, these were answers only the Director knew.

"Yan-Yan~! I'm so bored.. can't you read this later? I've been waiting for you all-"

"Shh, it's getting interesting!" Hummed Yanfei in excitement, making 'ooo'ing noises when she continued.

Okay, NOW Hu Tao HAD to do something, anything! But what could it be? She already tried nagging her, annoying her, and even tugging at her, but none of those worked even the slightest to get her out of this headspace! Think, Hu Tao, think.. what is something you haven't tried yet? Something that might tickle her fancy.. wait, eureka, smart thinking! Was all she thought to herself, her once pouting face replaced with a large grin filled with childish mischief.

This expression, alone, finally caught Yanfei's attention, "Did you like this page too? I think the fact that Sir Sparkingt-huh? T-Tao-Tao, what're you..?" She question, eye's now filling with fear as she slid away from her in her seat. "So now you pay attention to me, hm? I was feeling a little lonely and sad, so what better than for us to have a good laugh?" She closed the gap between them, her finger's itching to find their first spot, the silliness alone was making Yanfei's usually blank expression change into a childish smile, raising her hands up to attempt and keep a distance between them.

"I-I'm finished with the book, I finished, j-just.. plehe-please don't!" Whimpered the red head, a long awe escaping Hu Tao's smugged lips, "Why should I? You only stopped because I've decided to.. what was the game called? Hm.. it starts with T, I just forgot the rest of the words! Mind helping me figure it out, Yan-Yan?" Chorused the brunette, before latching her right hand against her hip, rubbing into the plush area whilst her other hand went to catch her right hand, placing it over her head.

"H-Huhu Tahao! Why're yoho- hmhmhm! Why're you d-doing.. thihi- this?" She attempted to hold back her giggles, the soft kneading from Hu Tao's fingertips only exceeding, her fingertips digging gently into her back, her thumb rubbing into the divet of her hip, making Yanfei's left hand reach down and grab at her wrist, "W-Wait! No, thihihi- gahmhmhmhm! T-this is embarrassing!" Flushed the red head, her movements becoming slightly more frantic from such soft movement's. Man, didn't Hu Tao want to do this forever now.

"Are you sure? There's literally no one here, you chose this spot for a reason, my beloved. I could just eat you up for how adorable you are! You know what? I might do just that!" She leaned over and nibbled at her neck, acting like she was eating her whilst making 'nom nom nom' noises, "GAH! Nohohoho! Hu Taha-AHH!" She shrieked, shocking the both of them. All Hu Tao did was bring the hand that once held her right arm up and rub at her antle- oh. Oh. Now she understood.

"Oh no, did I just find my little giggle bug's tickl-tickl-ticklish spot?" Teased the other, both hands going up to rub at the area. Before she could, however, Yanfei took this opportunity to spider at her underarms, making her squeak and quickly lower her arm's to protect herself. Once Hu Tao did just that, Yanfei booked it, she ran out the place and went to hide. "Ohohoh, NOW you want to play, hm? Well then, let's play!"

And just like that, Hu Tao went out to find her Rudolph. She looked behind each place thoroughly, behind each nook and cranny, until she had saw her trying to sneak out of Liyue Harbor. Oh she wasn't going to escape this time! Quickly, the brunette pursued after her.

After a long game of cat and mouse, Hu Tao was victorious, he arm's wrapped around her girlfriend's waist, as they both fell into the grass, glaze lillies and silk flowers cuddling against the two girl's. They laughed at their silliness before squealing, high pitched laughter poured out Yanfei once again. The brunette had nuzzled her nose into the underside of Yanfei's antler, whilst her hands squeezed at the sides of her tummy, "BWAH!? H-HAHAH! Huhu- HU TAHAO! WAHAHAIT, wahahait! Ohohohoh gohohohosh noho! Hehehelp me!" Yanfei reached out, before whining as the german shepherds near the harbor went over and lapped at her neck and tummy, making her curl up, "COHOHOME ON!" She threw her head back, Hu Tao smiling, "How cute, they think you're sweet!" She chuckled, Yanfei shaking her head once again, "Okahahay, yohou win, juhuhust hehelp mehehehehe! They tihihickle!" She hugged Hu Tao's arm, her aweing, "Okay okay, c'mon pups! Cut it out!" She petted the two, making them bark out happily before running back to their positions.

"So, anything you'd like to say, hm?" Hu Tao smuggly looked at her, laughing when she lightly whacked her arm, "Okay I get it." She smiled, before humming as Yanfei mumbled against her shoulder, "What was that?" She asked, rubbing her back as the two cuddled in the grass, the sun beaming comfortably against the two, "I said I love you, and.. I wouldn't mind thay happening again." She said, nuzzling her face into her neck to hide her blush. "I had fun too, love you." She kissed her head, before the two dozed off, forgetting what they were playing about before as they took this opportunity to relax.

Drabble Event Day 5

(The story is set in the Chasm, while the characters are stuck there)

"Please... anything but that!" Itto begger while backing away from a group of five people with a mischievous look in their eyes. Maybe bragging with about being invincible hadn't been his smartest choice.

He blinked for a second, and the people approaching him were suddenly four. Then, before he could even process his thoughts, Xiao plunged on him and took him down, pinning his legs under his knees in the process. Maybe calling Xiao 'little guy' right in front of him hadn't been his smartest move either.

"Come on guys, that's not cool... you can't do this!!" He whined, only earning a chuckle in response. "Well, it wouldn't be nice in most cases," said Yanfei seriously "but since you claim to be invincible I don't see a problem with this." She concluded with a smile, although she shivered at the thought of how many times she had been on the receiving end, trying desperately to get away from Hu Tao's clutches.

"I swear on the Archons... don't you daaaaahahahaha nohohohoho thahahat's meheheahahahan!!" Itto didn't even try to hold in his boisterous laughter when all his friends targeted him, going for all his weak spots. "What happened to your invincibility, huh?" Yelan asked with a smirk while dragging her nails under the Oni's arms, switching between going painfully slow to scribbling faster to keep him on his toes.

Aether and Shinobu weren't saying anything, they were just smiling and poking and squeezing their friend's tummy and sides, dipping a finger in his belly button every once in a while just to make him jump a bit. "Ihihihi knohohohow Ihihi sahahahahaihid thahahat buhuhut-" the red-eyed guy didn't manage to say anything more, being too busy laughing from all those sneaky hands attacking him at once.

Yanfei was laughing along with the Oni, while sitting on his thighs and squeezing his knees, going from the left to the right one and sometimes getting both at the same time to see his legs twitch and kick the air reflexively. "Oh Archons, you're so ticklish... I'm sorry but I don't think you're that invincible. Your statement will be considered false due to lack of evidence." She teased, making him blush, although she couldn't see it since she wasn't facing him.

"Tch, serves you right..." Xiao scoffed while dragging his fingers all over the Oni's ears, neck and even collarbone and shoulders, noticing how every spot made him laugh. Although he was keeping his grumpy demeanor, both he and Itto knew he was enjoying himself just as much as the others, because first, he was smirking, subtly but still smirking, and his face was slightly red, indicating that he was a bit flustered.

The Yaksha noticed Shinobu calling him, and then pointing at the top of her head while glancing at Itto. He understood the message and started scratching softly and massaging the base of Itto's horns. The roaring laughing that the simple gesture elicited was so loud that everyone thought that it would cause a collapse.

"SHIHIHINOHOBUHUHU YOHOHOU TRAHAHAIHITOHOR" The white-haired guy yelled at top of his lungs. She was the only one among the group who knew about his ultimate weakness, so he knew she had told Xiao about it somehow. "I don't know what you're talking about, boss... and you don't seem in the position to make false accusations, or accusations at all." She said while looking at him knowingly, letting him understand that she was indeed behind that.

They went on for ten minutes, everyone amazed by Itto's stamina, but eventually the Oni reached his limit and tapped out. "OHOHOKAHAH OHOKAHAHAHAHAY PLEHEHEAHASE NOHOHO MOHOHOHOREHEHEHE" He pleaded while his laughter was getting hiccupy, and everyone stopped right after.

The tall guy remained down panting and recovering from the brutal attack. "Cohompadrehe..." He said looking at the Traveler "How could yohou betray mehehe like that..? Tehelling everyone my weahahakness..?"

"Don't act like you didn't enjoy it!" Aether exclaimed adding another poke to his abs, but he was blushing like crazy because he knew how much Itto liked getting revenge from a tickle attack.

After finding a corner to light up a fire, the Oni sat down and yawned, drained from all those shenanigans, and the others realized how tired they were as well. They all lied down and fell asleep, one after the other, and strangely enough, the white-haired guy was the last to close his eyes.

He looked around himself, observing everyone sleeping peacefully, knowing that the day after they'd wake up well rested and with a positive attitude, that was going to get them out of there.

Maybe provoking his friends into a tickle fight to distract them from that gloomy place for at least a couple of hours had been his smartest move.

Parties were never Chongyun’s thing. Crowded people plus the number of spicy hot chips made his yang energy go absolutely bonkers, he wasn't sure what got him into this situation, shuffling out of people’s way in Xinyan’s house as loud music boomed from the overhead speakers.

He blamed Xingqiu for this. To be frank, when is it not Xingqiu’s idea. The two were like the stereotypical extrovert and introvert duo, where the extrovert practically drags the other out of his warm cocoon in his room to socialize. What’s so fun about socializing anyway. You spend all your energy talking to people who probably won’t remember your name by the end of the night, and you have to figure out ways to keep the conversation going. Chongyun wished talking to people was as easy as talking with Xingqiu.

Xingqiu made talking easy. He doesn’t care if Chongyun stayed quiet, the boy could probably talk someone’s ear off if no one stopped him. There was always something Xingqiu was talking about, whether it be a paper Xingqiu was writing for school, or one of his father’s new trades from the Feiyun Commerce Guild. Chongyun loved the way Xingiu talked, it wasn’t overwhelming or forced, it sometimes feel like Xingqiu was telling a story, even if the story was as boring as trading silk or stock.

“I see you hiding, Yunyun.” Xingqiu came up to Chongyun’s side, handing him a plastic cup with some colorless liquid in it. “It’s not vodka, calm your yang. It’s water, I swear, I even put in some mint in it to help with the overheating.”

Chongyun smiled as he grabbed the cup, carefully tilting it as the liquid touched his lips, the cool sensation confirmed Xingqiu’s words with it actually being water. The water and the mint helped with the heat, and Chongyun no longer feels like he is the sun reincarnated, but the more pressing matter is how close Xingqiu is to him. 

From years of being best friends, being close physically is really no big deal, but to Chongyun it is a bigger deal than it should be. See, Chongyun has had this gigantic crush on his best friend since, well since he could really remember. He thought every best friend felt like that until he was talking to Xiangling, and she jumped up and squealed, shaking Chongyun’s shoulder like he was some sort of pinata. That was when he realized his feelings for Xingqiu most definitely were more than platonic.

Unfortunate for him, Xingqiu has always been popular and the most oblivious person Chongyun has ever known. There will be times Chongyun most definitely flirted with him (he did not, he told a joke and expected Xingqiu to take it as a flirt) but Xingqiu didn’t seem to catch on, and Chongyun is convinced everyone at school is also in love with Xingqiu, cause who wouldn’t be?

“So, spill it.”

“Hm?”

“You got that thinking look again, I’ve known you long enough to know you have a thinking look. Even though you rarely think.” Xingqiu teased, poking Chongyun’s temple. “So spill it, let me in on the tea.”

“There is no tea.”

“Oh bull! You can’t fool me! I’m your best friend! Now spill before I force it out of you.”

“I told you! There is nothing to spill! I am not hiding anything!”

“Your face is red, and its the different red from when you’re overheating and you drank my water so you most definitely are NOT overheating, so must be blushing. Oh my god, is there a new girl? Is it Xiangling? Or Yanfei? I feel like you like those scholar-type people.”

Well, he got one thing right. Chongyun does like scholar-type people.

Chongyun playfully turned his head aside, pouting his lips which elicited a big whine from Xingqiu, who proceeded to tackle him by the waist with tickles, causing Chongyun to double over in laughter, trying to pry Xingqiu’s hands off of his ticklish spots.

“Count down in a minute!”

“A Qiu, stop! It tickles!” Chongyun giggled, both of them now on the floor with Xingqiu straddled on top of him with legs on either side of Chongyun’s hips, his hands frantically working their way on Chongyun’s ticklish waist.

“Tell me what you were thinking! Is it a girl? If it is I can just ask her number for you!”

“It’s not a girl!”

“Is it a boy? Or someone else? I mean I’m not discriminating anyone, you know I’m bi anyway!”

“A Qiu!”

“30 seconds folks!” Xinyan yelled from behind, the group had gathered around the balcony, Yanfei hooked up on FaceTime with Yoimiya who seems to be having a fantastic fireworks show going on back in Inazuma. 

“Just tell me!”

“It’s nothing!”

“If it’s nothing then why are you blushing!”

“Maybe it’s cause you’re so close to me!”

Chongyun was right. The two of them were incredibly close, their faces only inches apart and Chongyun could smell the faint scent of alcohol in Xingqiu’s breath (Chef Mao was there to supervise, so it was alright). Chongyun swore Xingqiu’s eyes had spirals or some sort of hypnosis magic in it, cause he could feel like he was drowning in his amber eyes. 

“10 seconds!’

His navy hair was brushing against Chongyun’s own forehead, it tickled.

“9 seconds!”

One of Xingqiu’s hands were on his waist, the other on the ground supporting his own body above Chongyun’s.

“8 seconds!”

Chongyun could count how many eyelashes Xingqiu has from his angle. He has a lot, but the point was they were very close.

“7 seconds!”

“I-I think you’re overheating Chongyun, do you want uh, a water?” Chongyun nodded but neither of them moved a muscle.

“6!”

“W-we are really close aren’t we.” Chongyun only seem to be able to nod.

“5!”

“Your lips are really dry, you should use chapstick more often.”

“4!”

Chongyun licked his lips, Xingqiu was right, they were very dry.

“3!”

“Can I kiss you?”

“2!”

“What?”

“1!” 

Before Chongyun could process his reply, Xingqiu’s lips were already on his. Neither of them moved, and Chongyun could only suck in a large breath. It’s really happening. His lips were soft, pressing against his own dry ones. Chongyun has dreamt of this exact moment more than he’d like to admit, and he is just surprised it is actually happening right now. Chongyun could smell the faint scent of books on him, probably from his clothes being stored wardrobe with his books. 

There weren’t much movement, it was the awkward teen kiss you could imagine in all those movies and teen fiction. There weren’t sparkles or butterflies, no electricity running through his body liked how Xingqiu told him (Xingqiu was practically a walking audiobook). Just his top lip safely secured between Xingqiu’s. Their noses were touching, and Chongyun was about to go into overheat from the heat radiating off Xingqiu.

They pulled away, panting slightly from the lack of breathing that just happened. 

“Why did you do that?” Chongyun asked, still panting slightly.

“I’ve been wanting to do that. And you were there so I just-”

“I’m glad you did it. I liked it.” Chongyun blushed. “We should do it again sometime.”

“Happy new year Yunyun.”

“Happy new year to you too, A Qiu.”

Silly Churl, Giggle Girl

Hello!! This is my celebration fic for hitting 70+ followers here! I honestly did not expect to be growing so quickly, and I'm so glad I have gotten to know so many of you! I hope this fic tickles your fancy, enjoy! <3

Potential Warnings: Just Hu Tao creeping Yanfei out + some gruesome mentions

"But Yan-chan! What if it did happen? Ehehe~" Hu Tao snickered, a devil like grin plastered on her face as she watched her girlfriend physically shiver and gag, "Hu Tao, stop it, you know I don't like that!" She rolled her eye's fondly, she didn't mind that badly, but it was a little bothersome.

Hu Tao only laughed and wrapped her hands around the red head's torso, "Yan-Yan, you know it won't happen." She said, planting a gentle kiss onto her cheek, before smirking, "Hypothetically tho-" "Okay okay, ew, no, I don't want to think of it!" She said, letting out a small frustrated whine.

This all started when Yanfei and Hu Tao were listening to a horror story, more preferably known as Hu Tao's favourite, Yanfei, on the other hand, despised it. After they had left, she had to make sure everything was locked up and secure, and Hu Tao jumping at her from behind the door didn't help out either.

"Fuahahah! That was so funny! You should've seen your own face Yan-Yan!" She chortled out in angelic laughter. Yanfei had to admit, she enjoyed seeing her so happy, but what she didn't enjoy was being grossed out by the mentions of worms eating her own brain inside out, and that it only just begun. The image was already making her way more pale then she was before, and the thought out noises they'd make as they squirmed around?! Yuck!

"C'mon Yanfei! Cheer up, I'm just messing around!" She shook her arm as she watched the red head stuff her face into her book, "I don't care." She mumbled out, cheeks puffed out like a hamster.

Hu Tao made a feint sigh, "Please? I'm sorryyy!" She dragged, pouting her lip out at her. Yanfei just shook her head, "No, you'll tell me something more disgusting!" She complained.

And there was her mistake.

"Did you just say no, to me?" She said, hands wrapping around her waist, fingertips drumming patiently on her hip's, watching as she flinched and dropped her book from the contact, "T-Tao!?" "Yes, dear?" She smiled, chin on her shoulder as she then blew into her ear, Yanfei's ear's fluttering as they flicked away like an annoyed cat.

"Hu Tao-!" She stiffled a giggle that was ready to burst out her throat as Hu Tao's nails kept daring to tap along her hip's, slightly moving up to fan at her side's. "You're such a silly girl~" She whispered into her ear, enjoying how it twitched in response, her head tilting to try and avoid those daring tripwires from springing to life.

"You see, Yan-Yan, I don't think you're in any situation to talk, hm?~" She whispered playfully, snickering as she heard and visibly saw her shiver and whine, amused at the sight of a dancing waist trying to keep itself as still as possible, but that little giggle that came out doomed her forever.

"Uh oh~" Was all she cooed before kneading at the side's of her lawyering girlfriend, watching as she melted into her touch, "Hu-Hu Ta-AHAHO!" She shrieked, kicking a leg out in an attempt to get those tingly sensation's away from the tickly sensation's.

"Awh, look at you! Way too adorable to even try and stand up anymore! A kitchi-kitchi-koo!~ I gotcha! A ticki-tickle!"

Ughh, those teases were sending cold tingles all the way down her spine and neck, unable to help the unearthy shriek that escaped her lungs.

"Ohohoh, does that tickle your fancy? Ehe, see what I did there? Oh right, you're too busy giggling up a storm!"

"HUHU TAHAHAO! IHIT REALLY T-TIHIHICKLES THERE!"

"Oh? Did I find a wiggly tiggly spot?~" She chortled, watching as she had scribbled and massaged Yanfei's ear's, enjoying how soft and fluffy they were, but the best thing was how they made her smile ever so widely, it was adorable yet amusing.

Perhaps now Yanfei might forgive her?

She first finds out when her hand brushes against ur side while y’all are cuddling

you let out a little muffled laugh and squirm a bit, hoping she doesn’t notice.

She starts prodding at the spot, as well as a few other places, and at each poke, you laughed and squirmed around a bit more.

Until it got to the point where it was a whole tickle war!

Summary: Zhongli is trying to work, but Childe’s feeling rather attention-seeking.

Zhongli took a brief moment to adjust himself, his back was aching from sitting down for so long. He looked over at the stack of papers next to him and sighed. He wouldn’t have to work overtime, but there was still quite a bit to do in the next hour of work that he had. 

He took a deep breath and grabbed one of the papers, setting it in front of him before dipping his quill in ink, writing down the necessary things on the lines. He set it off to the side when he was done, pulling the next sheet off the pile and dipping his pen in ink once more. He repeated this process for a little while longer, getting into a rhythm before the door burst open.

He jumped, nearly messing up the paper he was working on as he looked to the door, expecting to see Hu Tao, only for a taller, redheaded man to be standing in the doorway, leaning against the frame.

Zhongli blinked once and went immediately back to his work, completely ignoring him. He whined.

“Zhongli! Don’t ignore me!”

“Then don’t come barging into my office during work hours, Childe,” Zhongli said simply, scribbling something down and then sliding the paper off to the side, grabbing a new one. He was making swift progress, he’d be done soon. But Childe could easily throw a wrench in his plans. 

“Whatcha working on? Looks boring,” Childe teased, leaning on Zhongli’s shoulder. Zhongli sighed, adjusting to the new weight and continuing on as Childe picked up a paper, reading it.

“Ohh, it’s legal stuff, huh? Now I know it’s boring.”

“Some of it is paperwork for clients, but yes, there are some legal fees and such in there as well,” Zhongli said flatly, taking the paper from Childe and signing it. Childe hummed.

He wrapped his arm around Zhongli’s shoulder and cupped his cheek, pressing a delicate kiss below Zhongli’s ear. Zhongli didn’t stop working, though his heart did briefly skip a beat. Childe peppered him with more kisses, along his jaw and his neck, finally managing to distract Zhongli.

“I have thirty more minutes left of work, can you wait?”

“Mmm, no~”

Childe waited for Zhongli to set aside the paper he was working on before gently holding his chin, tilting his head towards him before giving him a soft kiss. Zhongli closed his eyes for a moment then pulled away, taking the next paper and writing on it. Childe whined.

“Zhongli,” He said, brushing aside some of his hair, kissing his temple. Zhongli sighed, setting the paper he was working on onto the finished pile.

“You’re too clingy, stop it.”

Childe pulled his head away, frowning. “You’ve wounded me, Zhongli.”

Zhongli said nothing, though he felt a bit bad. He only had a few more papers left, then he would head home with Childe and give him the attention he wanted. But right now he needed to finish. Childe stayed next to Zhongli, holding onto him as he watched him work.

“Mr. Zhongli, are you almost finished? I’m hungry, and I have plans with Yanfei!” Hu Tao called, opening the door to his office, noticing Childe. She chuckled, putting a hand to her lips. “Looks like you have plans too~”

Zhongli sighed, scribbling one last thing down before finishing his last paper, setting it on the pile. “You’ll need to go through them tomorrow, but they should all be ready.”

Hu Tao nodded, giggling mischievously before trotting off. Zhongli stood, Childe letting go of him and instead reaching for his hand, smiling softly. “Ready to go?”

Zhongli returned the smile and held Childe’s hand, walking out of the funeral parlor and leading Childe back to their now shared residence, opening the door and letting Childe in, shutting it behind him. Childe flopped on the bed, chuckling before looking over at Zhongli, who stood at the edge of the bed with his arms crossed, a small frown on his face.

“What’s wrong, Zhongli?”

“I could barely get any work done with you clinging to me. You’re like a child,” Zhongli said, stepping closer to the bed. He got on, leaning over Childe as his frown faded to a small grin.

“I think I need to show you what happens when you hinder my paperwork.”

Childe raised an eyebrow, then smirked. He reached up and cupped Zhongli’s cheeks.

“Oh? What happens?” 

Zhongli hummed. “This.”

Childe shrieked suddenly when Zhongli dug his hands under his arms, making him immediately pull his hands back to protect himself, rolling around underneath Zhongli.

“OHoho Archons! Nohohoho! Zhongli, plehehease! Not this!” Childe immediately yelled out, his laughter already likely causing a noise complaint. Zhongli said nothing in response to Childe’s pleas, lightly scratching his fingers in the hollows of Childe’s armpits, Childe throwing his head back and cackling as he kicked his legs.

“Maybe this will make you think twice before disturbing my work.”

“I’m sohohohorry! Plehehease, just not thehehehere!” Childe howled, squeezing his eyes shut as the ticklish sensations overwhelmed him, despite Zhongli only having tickled him for barely a minute.

Zhongli chuckled, deciding to spare Childe just a bit of mercy as he moved his hands down from his underarms to his ribs, wiggling his fingers against them delicately. He made sure to get between every single one, from his uppermost ribs to his lower ones, then back up again just for Childe to shriek in anticipation.

“Zhohohohongli! Wahahahait-!”

“Why should I wait, Childe? You couldn’t seem to wait for me to finish my work,” Zhongli teased, humming as he skittered his fingers across Childe’s tummy. Childe grabbed onto his wrists, squirming as he whined through his laughter.

“Plehehehease! I sahahahaid I was sorry!”

Zhongli nodded, slipping a hand under Childe’s shirt and scribbling on his bare tummy, making Childe howl. “You did say you were sorry, though I still think you haven’t learned your lesson.”

Childe squealed when Zhongli squeezed his hips, arching his back before wiggling frantically, trying to shake off Zhongli’s devious hands. Zhongli held a soft grin on his face as he worked meticulously, digging into Childe’s hipbone in a way that had him reeling.

“I’m sohohohorry! Plehehease, I wohohohon’t do it again! Zhongliii!” Childe yelled, trying to pull Zhongli’s hands away from his hips as he wailed. Zhongli kept kneading his hips, though he was slowing down a little bit as Childe wheezed beneath him, red in the face.

Zhongli finally decided that Childe had had enough and pulled his hands away, patting Childe’s tummy before laying down next to him at his side. He watched as Childe’s chest heaved up and down as he caught his breath, the bright pink on his cheeks slowly disappearing as he composed himself.

“Y-You could’ve just said ‘don’t do that again’!” Childe eventually whined, and Zhongli shrugged.

“That was more fun, and I think I got the message across better than words ever could.”

Childe pouted and lightly shoved Zhongli, making him chuckle before he brushed aside some of Childe’s bright hair, smiling. Childe leaned his cheek into Zhongli’s hand, and Zhongli hummed, pulling Childe in for a quick kiss.

“Oh so now you want kisses!” Childe exclaimed, making Zhongli burst into a fit of amused laughter. Childe laughed with him, soon pulling him in for another kiss as the two of them continued to giggle. Now was definitely a better time for kisses.

Discussing neck tickles with @ticklystuff is making me thinking about characters that would have ticklish necks 🥺

Ayato and his tiny little spot on the back of his neck that is open between his hair and his suit, like come on you’re just asking to be poked there 👀

Zhongli would totally melt from neck tickles because like WHO DARES TOUCH ME THERE 😈 (it’s Childe ofc)

If you catch Yelan without her coat on and slide a finger down the back of her neck she will definitely turn around in surprise with a huge blush across her face 😏 She isn’t sensitive at all. Nope not at all, and don’t even think about asking Yanfei.

Shinobu’s worst spot is definitely her neck, but good luck getting her. Only successful person has been Itto during a tickle fight. Managing to pin her down definitely requires his strength. He would lightly spider her neck with his long nails causing her to squeak and giggle 🥰

The thought of actually walking into Mondstadt proper and braving its bustling crowds nearly knocks you over where you stand. Paimon agrees to visit the winery first in the hopes that Diluc will be both there, and willing to give you a place to curl up and hide from the world for a bit.

You think about Childe. Yanfei. Everyone you’ve made promises to that you’ve failed to keep so far. They can wait a little longer. At least until the fog in your head lifts for good, instead of coming and going and leaving you worse off than either extreme would. You’re so scrambled you don’t even know where to begin. And you haven’t even cried yet, though it’s all you want to do whenever you put thought towards what’s going to happen now.

If Diluc isn’t at his winery, and you have to go into the city, and even one person comes up to you to ask you for a favor…

“Are you thinking sad thoughts again?” Paimon butts in. Her soft hair rubs up against your cheek, from the piggyback ride you’re giving her. It’s ticklish, but it’s something to focus on instead of your numb feet.

“No,” you say. “Not sure they’re sad. Just confusing. We’re almost there.”

“…If they get sad, you have to say something,” Paimon says, squeezing her arms around your middle. “You don’t like talking about yourself that much, but you’re always saying how it’s good to say what’s on your mind and if there’s anything wrong just go to you…”

“I’m a little bit of a hypocrite,” you admit. “I’ll try.” To try. To try. To try.

“You better,” she mutters, a hint of mutiny seeping into her voice. “Or you’re gonna get the worst, ugliest, meanest nickname.”

Oh, no, not the nicknames. You might die of insult.

“Even worse than Venti’s?” you confirm.

“Even worse,” she promises.

“What ever will I do without you keeping me in check?” you wonder, not even really joking at this point. Which is sad. That’s definitely sad and a reason for you to feel bad about yourself. “Get nice nicknames from nice people?”

Paimon swats you on the shoulder. “No! You can’t get nicknames from anyone else!”

“Fine, fine,” you acquiesce, rolling your eyes. “I’m looking forward to what you come up with.”

Paimon makes a small hmph noise and settles down more comfortably against you, relaxing for the rest of the trip towards Mondstadt.

Diluc greets you at the entrance of the winery, having seen you far down the road. You’re not sure what expression he makes, if any, as he takes you in. You try not to look at him.

“Go wash up,” he says, prying Paimon off you and smacking you on the back in the direction of the guest bathroom. “I’ll save my questions for after you don’t look like… that.”

You stumble, foot snagging over the edge of an area rug. Your quick reflexes prevent you from smashing nose-first into the ground, but you pay for it in a burning, sharp pain in both of your wrists where you’d caught yourself. You haven’t quite learned to roll into falls yet, too used to being sure on your feet to ever bother.

You shake your wrists out and give Diluc a nasty look (he’s carrying Paimon into the guest room already, grumbling about it but betraying his kindness through action), slipping into the bathroom when you’re reasonably sure Paimon has been tucked in.

Diluc is nowhere to be seen when you emerge. You run your fingers through your long hair, their path intercepted by the occasional tangle that you couldn’t comb out with your hands. It’s nice to be clean for once. Scrubbing yourself off in a river or pond just isn’t the same.

You catch a maid by the elbow in passing, muttering a hurried, “Where’s Diluc?” She points up the stairs. You nod.

Checking in on Paimon takes priority though; you drop your gear off on the floor next to the bed Diluc set her down on, take a moment to sweep her hair away from her face and make sure the blankets are snug on her. Paimon always says she loves traveling, but she’s far from immune to the weariness that sets in after too long on the road.

You feel it yourself, too. You’re not sure how much sleep you would need to feel normal again.

You clomp up the stairs toward Diluc’s study just to be annoying. He looks up at you briefly when you enter and collapse into the plush armchair in the corner of the room, but soon goes back to his work.

“What are you up to?” you ask, looking away from him again as soon as it’s polite to do so.

“Inventory.”

“Miss me?” you wonder.

“Not really.”

“Oh. Guess I’m out of here then,” you say, rising from your chair and making for the door.

His exhausted sigh stops you in your tracks. Your hand hovers just above the doorknob. It’s not like you hadn’t been expecting this.

“Stop fucking around and sit down. You look like you’re going to die,” he says. You sit. “Were you involved in the fall of the Jade Palace?”

“News travels fast,” you observe, crossing your legs and reclining into the back of the chair. “Yeah, kinda, but it wasn’t my fault.”

“The Fatui,” Diluc concludes, rustling something around on his desk.

“Yeah. None of it ended how I thought it was going to.” Best to rip off the bandage now. “I also met Althaeoides.”

“Did you?” Diluc asks measuredly.

“She doesn’t want to go with me. Basically spat in my face,” you say, voice growing hoarse as it becomes harder to speak. And there’s the Abyss on top of that. Their princess. And Dainsleif, who isn’t your story to tell. And the Herald. And… and… and… “I told her to come home so we could leave and… sorry. I need a moment.”

You stand abruptly, eyes glued to the door and not Diluc who’d stood at the exact same moment as you.

“I have to go. I’ll be back later,” you say, eyes wide and voice cracking.

The frantic urge to run wells up inside of you, clawing at your insides until it feels like there’s a fire burning behind your eyes. You throw the door open and sprint into the hallway.

You’ll be back. Your gear still lies on the guest bedroom floor and Paimon isn’t with you so this isn’t permanent, you’re not running away, you just need a break. A break. That’s all it is.
