why do i want to reread the entire inheritance games trilogy and then reread the brothers hawthorne despite having literally just finished that book and not even liking the og trilogy all that much

For the briefest second I forgot that Top Gun Maverick stars Tom Cruise and not Tig Notaro which is a shame because the air force propaganda movie would have been much better if it had queer ladies in it

how everyone dressed up:

avery - miss americana

jameson - the heartbreak prince obv

xander - something 1989, i’m not sure

grayson - wouldn’t dress up entirely but would wear a tour shirt

nash - debut bc he’s an og swiftie (bedazzled cowboy hat)

libby - reputation, she’d wear that black sparkly cowboy hat nash got her in the final gambit

max - she’d have the red t shirt and the glasses

thea - reputation but more laid back

bex - folklore, she’d go as betty with the cardigan and everything

overall hcs:

jameson and xander make bets on the surprise songs (xander wins because he somehow calculated the exact songs she was gonna play)

max gets the 22 hat

bex SCREAMS the folklore set (not sing…screams)

jameson and avery are all lovey dovey during lover

nash and libby scream love story at each other (because they got engaged recently yk)

grayson slowly loosens up and is silently crying by anti hero

thea screeches “SHADE NEVER MADE ANYBODY LESS GAY”

avery gets a bunch of bracelets from little swifties

jameson is very serious when it comes to bracelet trading

max drilled everyone on all the chants on the way to the stadium

this combined like two of my favorite things so it was fun. @silly-little-gooses helped me with some of these <3

will be a little controversial here and say that if tgg has none of the og cast (just gray) i wont care as much as i wish i would

im sorry but i dont want to only read abt some new character and then every some often the character i read tig for makes an special appearance, this is averys game, helped by all of the hawthornes and they all have essencial places in the creation of the game

no hate to the new characters btw, im looking forward to reading them but it just wont hit as hard wt the og characters

Ok with the vault opening tomorrow here are my final predictions:

- Grayson is one of the pov characters, I think we all know this by now. He is the character most connected to this new book. He is the only one, besides Avery, named dropped in the synopsis and is apparently “amisdts” it all, plus the whole “if you've ever wondered what it's like falling in love with Grayson hawtorne” thing in the interview. So yeah I'd be surprised if gray WASNT one of the povs

-Phone girl is another pov, ik this is being debated right now and that we've all really been in our delulu era coming up with these headconons lol but I really think this is going to be her book. Mostly bc of ALL the calla lilys on the cover. she is the only character tied to those. Jlb said there was easter eggs on the cover and in tbh for tgg. Why else even include this mystery girl at all. Plus she would have her own reasons to play the game and she could give us the pov as a player

Now those are my willing to bet a Hawthorne sum of money on guesses

Now I have a few options for the third pov

1. Eve- she’s obv up to something evil and I feel like jlb really wants to give eve a redemption arc much to most of our disinterest

2. Slate - if eve is going to do some evil shit but jlb doesn’t want to give us her pov then she might give us slate pov and make him a player and have him be the tie to eve w/o making her a player

3. Another completely new character/ or a character introduced in tbh but as a player in tgg, idk just feel like it

I don’t think any of the characters from og tig will be pov characters here, Ik disappointing but idk it’s just my gut feeling

Now for two main side characters

1. Avery- I just can’t see her NOT in this book, it’s her game she’s going to be IN it

2. Jameson for the same reasons

other options:

Gigi and Sav- I feel like they will DEFINITELY have a part in this series I just don’t know how big, plus the whole potential love with slate and Gigi and the cliffhanger about eve and Sav (one of them could also be pov characters but I just don't see that happening rn)

Slate- if he isn’t a pov then I still think he’d be a player on eves part

Xander- PLSSSSSSSS

Now for the secret :

Idk man we could find out that Tobias Hawthorne is alive who tf knows

Maybe PG is a Rooney, maybe Alice Hawthorne already showed up, maybe the Hawthorne money is at stake, maybe we'll find out that “eve inows”

Its the wild card but I for sure know it will be the last card revealed

Now one last crack theory about grays role in the game:

Grayson might be a player in the game. If he is “amidst it all” he might actually end up IN the game. I thought maybe he was running the game at first or coaching but if anyone would be coaching it would be jameson and it says Avery is running the game. THEY are the gamemasters, so idk what Grayson “vital role” is but maybe he’ll be a Donatella Dragna, he’ll be there right alongside the players, maybe not a “player” but player adjacent idk it’s just a thought me and my friend had lol

The cooking show will be interesting. I wonder which one she’s ripping off. Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, and Rachel Ray are probably the most likely ones since they were big in the ‘90s (aka Meghan’s ideal decade). But Selena Gomez and Florence Pugh are popular among the youth with their down-to-earth/slightly chaotic shows. But Anthony Bourdain (RIP) and Stanley Tucci are popular in the wine mom/Goop crowd Meghan is going after.

I say Bourdain. After all, Anthony Bourdain was Meghan's self-admitted OG travel/foodie show muse from way back. A Martha or Ina rip-off would require far too much work and actual expertise (in her mind). Although she may begin like them, based in one location (Montecito/Casa Olive Garden/the "American Riviera"), imo she'd love ultimately to expand into a Bourdain-type international travel/foodie show. I think she thinks that an on-the-road travel/foodie show would be easy-peasy for her (eating, drinking, traveling, word-salading on camera), while the producers and crew do all the bts heavy lifting. Remember when Gwyneth and the disgraced Mario Batali did something similar, traveling through sunny Spain, eating tapas and drinking sherry all day and night? WCK's Jose Andres did the same type of show recently with his daughters. The Tig was Megs' discount attempt to materialize an offer for a similar gig.

Of course, the reality is that the success of Bourdain and his iconic shows - just like Martha's and Ina's - required intense work and decades of culinary expertise and experience, not to mention personal charisma to burn ...none of which Meghan has.

(PS: "Slightly chaotic" is a perfect description for Selena + Chef! I loved her early show with Iron Chef Alex Guarnaschelli (sp?), in which Selena showed up in the kitchen wearing a white pinafore dress lol. But she's authentic and eager to learn, bless her heart, and brings in a young viewership.)

as you may know the grandest game is releasing, so prior to that a site called novl has the 'hawthorne vault' (like in the og trilogy)

you have to 'break in' through the vault to reveal the povs, main characters etc. to do so you have to solve a puzzle on jennifer's insta and novl's too, and enter the answer in the vault's link.

the vault has 6 cards, which are flipped one by one, revealing the characters.

prior to the release of the brothers hawthorne the vault had quotes and chapter sneak peeks. this time it's characters

Hey, medieval simmer friends- any versions of the Tig tunic that you use a lot that other people don't seem to know about?

I'm making a version that's just got all the textures repositoried and I don't want to miss anyone's favourite.

Right now, I'm using Parsimonious' Fur, the OG Dark Project, LadyLochlane's Mercantilism and Peasantry, and some of Van and Hat's stuff in my game. I picked up some of Van's stuff I don't normally use, and some of illenlan's stuff, but I know there's gotta be something I'm forgetting.

‘Mayans M.C.’ To End With Season 5 At FX

Mayans M.C. will end with Season 5 on FX. FX boss John Landgraf revealed the move during the network’s TCA day on Thursday.

Created by Kurt Sutter and Elgin James, Mayans M.C.— a spin-off series of the network’s hit Sons of Anarchy— follows a motley crew of Latin men who found a family in the motorcycle club charter Santo Padre on the California and Mexico border. While the story is about the M.C., it also features powerful female characters that are bold and powerful in their own right.

Returning series stars include J.D. Pardo, Clayton Cardenas, Danny Pino, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Sarah Bolger, Emilio Rivera, Edward James Olmos, Frankie Loyal, Vincent Vargas, and Joseph Raymond Lucero.

The Season 4 finale saw the M.C. mourn the loss of their brother Coco (Richard Cabral) who was killed in battle earlier in the season. It was also a big episode for Sons of Anarchy fans with the return of Kim Coates as Tig where he shared a particularly emotional reunion with OG Marcus Alvarez (Rivera).

In another tie-in to SOA, Meth Mountain’s Isaac Packer’s (JR Bourne) reaper tattoo was finally explained in the episode. He is the younger brother of Les Packer (Robert Patrick), President of SAMCRO’s San Bernadino chapter who had been undergoing cancer treatment. Still alive and kicking, a return of Les would make total sense for Mayan M.C.‘s final season.

When the series returns, Santo Padre will have a new leader in EZ (Pardo) who orchestrated the ouster of El Padrino snatching the seat at the head of the table. Alvarez wanted to barter peace between SAMCRO and Santo Padre but EZ and his brothers want war. Hopefully, this sets up the ultimate Sons of Anarchy and Mayans M.C. crossover fans have ever seen.

I was around in those early days and I don't remember much about Meghan being active on Tumblr. But then again, it's been 6 years so it's very possible I don't remember that. It was assumed she was active here because a lot of those early blogs kept getting shut down and/or were doxxed but I think the general consensus was it was mainly Sussex Squad doing that work as internet warriors on Meghan's behalf after the engagement.

But what I do remember is a lot of heavy suspicion on the early Tumblr blogs - Skippy, Felix, JD, Plant, Charlatan Duchess, Harry Markle, so on - that Meghan was active in the DM comment sections. As the theory went, she had two or three accounts that posted a lot of similar stuff on all the pro-Meghan articles and wrote in very similar language / stylings that were also comparatively similar to the language and stylings used on the Working Actress blog and The Tig, so it was suspected it was her.

One of the phrases that kept coming up on these accounts that was also on The Working Actress is "rinse and repeat." There was even a username based on that phrase too, I believe. So any time that phrase/username popped up on the DM, it was assumed to be Meghan. There were other phrases but I can't remember those and unfortunately for us, a lot of those early blogs which chronicled this were shut down and the content lost.

Sassy is also an old-timer...it's possible she could remember more of this!
