I saw your “two wolves” art after the latest manga chapter so I have an idea, but I still gotta ask- HOW ARE YOU COPING AFTER SEEING DAZAI SHOT UP LIKE THAT??? Do you think he’s dead dead, or that there’ll be a timey wimey rewind thing where he’ll come back? I desperately need him alive, but I also don’t want them to lose memories of this, ya know? Do you think this is all part of some great SKK plan (operation goodbye?👀) or is Dazai really just losing for the first (second, if you count Oda 🙈) time in his life?

To be honest, the very first post I saw about the new chapter was Nawy’s analysis of the bullet impacts in the wall, which quickly convinced me that Dazai was not actually shot in the head, so I haven’t been worried at all 😅

But even if the being-able-to-talk-after-getting-shot-in-the-head thing was just an oversight on Asagiri’s part, I still wouldn’t be convinced that he’s gonna stay dead, because people just don’t tend to die in this manga. Really the only major character that’s died so far is Oda, and that was in a flashback that served a narrative purpose. There’s not much narrative weight to Dazai dying at this point in the story, and in this manner. It doesn’t feed into his character arc, and the rest of the agency isn’t even there to be affected by it. To have it happen so far away from the rest of the main cast would be…weird.

…Plus since Dazai is a) Asagiri’s blorbo and b) a big draw for a lot of fans, it would be very bold to kill him off lol — so be it due to timetravel, skk shenanigans, or a secret third thing, I genuinely think he’s going to be fine!

All that said, even if this is all part of some grand overarching scheme, I remain convinced that Dazai was not expecting Chuuya to shoot him in the shoulder first, because that seemed like genuine outrage on Dazai’s part XD

#I do hope it’s not time travel because I want there to be consequences for everything that’s happened so far #but in certain circumstances I can see it being interesting — especially as a counter to Fukuchi #since time travel bullshit is his whole deal #side note but #I really hope that Dazai does fail at some point #in a non-lethal way #it just makes him less interesting as a character if he’s always right. I want the dude to grow as a person #because what was the point of his promise to Oda if he doesn’t CHANGE #…but in the meantime I will continue to write him as an intelligent dumbass who is making things up on the fly because he’s fun that way #power of fandom bayBEE I can interpret his character however I want #this especially applies to howl AU dazai who basically has no idea what’s happening for most of the plot lol #ask box #bsd #bsd dazai #bsd manga spoilers #bsd spoilers #senhart rambles

K, so as much as the rest of season 1 and the entirety of season 2 would suck with Cisco being dead, now that this thought is in my head, I can't stop thinking about how wild that would be if they literally killed him off for just that period of time, with the intention of bringing him back via Flashpoint and keeping him on for the rest of the show, but making the audience think he was gone for good for a whole entire season. That would've been CRAZY, yo.

#The Flash #Cisco Ramon #Barry Allen #obviously the whole thing with Dante would have to go out the window #because we didn't meet Dante until after Barry time traveled the first time #so there's no significance in killing him off if he hasn't even shown up yet #and because the big thing that Flashpoint changed about Cisco's life is now in fact Cisco being alive #so now instead of Barry returning from Flashpoint and finding Cisco depressed because his brother is dead #he's returning from Flashpoint and finding......Cisco? Alive???#and Cisco's probably his usual bubbly self and like that's a good thing but also #Barry is freaking the fuck out because CISCO'S BEEN DEAD FOR OVER A YEAR AND NOW HE'S BACK LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED #and obviously has no idea he was murdered in another timeline and also!! neither does anyone else!!#Barry has gone overnight from being on a team full of other people grieving for Cisco #to being the ONLY person with memories of learning that he was dead and all the shock that came with that #and the funeral and the supporting each other and the trying to grow around grief #and now it's all just gone but he's still affected by that death even though it's been undone now and NO ONE understands what he's feeling #and of course he's probably also really worried about losing him again #and since Dante's death was one of his big motivations in canon for not altering the timeline again after Flashpoint #(because causing that and irreversibly hurting Cisco was the biggest and worst consequence of altering the timeline)#in THIS version it's kind of the opposite #in canon he vowed not to change the past again because he saw the harm it could do to people in the present #but this time it's because he accidentally made his life in the present better by bringing Cisco back #and now he's terrified that if he changes another detail from the past Cisco will go back to being dead #and he can't risk letting that happen #it was hard enough going through that the first time #and he's just been through having to let Thawne re-kill his mom which led to Zoom re-killing his dad #and maybe getting Cisco back is a fluke in the universe and it wasn't supposed to happen #but if life will let him have this one bit of relief by gosh he's not gonna do anything to mess it up #(then of course Cisco's gonna piece it all together eventually when his powers finally kick in and hooooo boy is THAT gonna be a ride)

#yeah I don't think Wally is gonna be usable after Spurrier is done with him (unless someone intervenes)#like. you're giving him abilities that aren't just 'game shark' stuff like most speedsters #where they're still contained by the narrative #you are literally allowing him to choose not to follow the story. he no longer even has to play.#now they're either gonna have to remove that ability or keep explaining why he doesn't just do that all the time #because this isn't even like time travel where the reason speedsters don't use it all of the time for everything is there are possible #consequences so it becomes a 'break glass in case of emergency' power #like if the world is entirely fucked. the risk is outweighed by the benefit of unfucking the world.#with this it's just. Wally can do it whenever he wants with no apparent consequences and IS DOING IT #like yeah I'm sorry but this makes him broken in a way that's just kind of impossible to work with #Spurrier you had so much shit to work with why would you do this.

when i was 12 this was the coolest most mindblowing shit ever i was genuinely so obsessed with it I'd read it very day like the bible. I would die for a version of this with the post 3D world content over my country

#i hve vs super mario bros on my switch bc i wanted to chronologically play through the storied hero timeline and i couldnt find a rom #I think it has the same appeal as spid.erverse kinda except instead of multiple different people filling the same role as sp.iderman its #the same guy it's still mario but the changes come from things going differently at certain points in his life do you GET ME!!#LIKE!!!!!!!! MOST OF IT'S DETERMINED BY WHAT HAPPENS IN YOSHIS ISLAND AND THERES ALTERNATIVE PATHS IF HE WINS OR FAILS!!! GAME OVERS HAVE #CONSEQUENCES THAT BRANCH INTO THEIR OWN TIMELINES MARIO CAN END UP WITH DIFFERENT PARENTS ITS SO COOLLLLLL #and i love how each of the major branches has their own theme like “action hero” is the one with all the gameplay-focused #mainline titles “storied hero” is the one with all the M&L rpgs and more plot-heavier stuff and “blue collar hero” is this third one #with all the donkey kong titles and wackier/arcade titles WHERE i might add his design had a blue shirt and red overalls #and the tl builds off of those games into nsmb so i like to hc that he kept his early 80s design well into the later games <-autistic sorry #AND how thetimelines represent how their different backstories have influenced their personalities and thought processes a little like #what happened to mario in the blue collar branch like he either becomes EVILL!!!! and kidnaps donkey kong leading to dkjr or #divorces peach and has a self isolation arc after nsmb2 whats going on w him...#and i LOVE how all of them have a sort of common event where bowser invades the mushroom kingdom and in each timeline its #represented by a different variation of the original super mario bros game with action hero's event being represented by smb itself #which is fitting since thats the branch where mario and luigi ended up with their intended parents and everything went as planned #and i think a general theme here is that the more things go against intention the sillier it gets dont even get me STARTED on the time #travel shenanigans in bottom right which lead into the handheld remakes i love this so much its unreal #i do wish paper mario wasnt explained away as a dream but like thats its whole other world and art style and itd be difficult #to fit it into one of the major branches so i get why it was done. i probably wouldve just given it its own isolated bubble in the corner #at that rate i probably wouldve added so much more shit to the main tl im talking game&watch games i look at this and i see a pitch #for a full feature length autism production you understand

i know i said before that the show insisting that there’s this ideological divide between battling and catching pokemon was really dumb, but man i do think they had something with goh being so put off by battles. he’s an introverted guy who prefers isolation, and he’s never properly done a trainer battle, he’s got fresh new pokemon who didn’t fight much- and his new friend entered him in this big shot tournament, surrounded by thousands of people, without his knowledge or consent, and so he gets swept by someone with a lot more experience, and so he gets completely and utterly humiliated. you can clearly see how upset he is later on and i think it does make sense for him to resist battling where he can cause he’s afraid of that same humiliation. if he battled in a more private setting with someone on his level, i don’t think he’d have been so resistant after this. and it was interesting to see this part of him clash with scorbunny later on, who got more interested in battling but wasnt allowed to do it as much.

it’s too bad the writers forgot about that though lol

#im still a little annoyed raboots rebellion was just shrugged off as ‘’lol teen angst’’ when it obviously wasnt set up as such #cmon the evolution is prompted when goh resists training her #and then it looks clearly resentful and annoyed when ash fights the electric gym leader that one time #but ough no goh cant have done a bad thing with lasting consequences (on accident) so ha ha its just silly teen angst ig #i know im asking for a level of complexity pkmn doesnt really like to do but come onnnn #ftr im not trying to be like ‘’OUGHHH ash is a bad friend!!’’ either cause i can see where he was coming from #he wasnt like setting goh up to fail he just wanted to show his friend how cool battles were #and i wouldnt be shocked if after all his travels he’s just kinda forgotten what its like to be a beginner #plus hes not introverted and he doesnt really surround himself with people like that #if ash signed iris up for a random tournament behind her back in bw i think iris would like. be a tad annoyed at not being asked #but be SUPER hyped yknow? and i think thats what ash was working off of #idk like. there was something here where like some kids indirectly hurt each other on accident but they learn to grow past it #echoed voice #jn lb

i started writing a whole thing about mir and her mom and then i realized i accidentally gave the briadis family the perfect set up for a tragic family empire tv show

#her mom is a powerful merchant who wants to pass the business on to her kids #her oldest brother is being groomed for the job but he’s better at and prefers life as a ship captain #no matter how hard they try to bring him home!#her oldest sister wants the job TOO MUCH and tries to hard but it’s not good at it #and their mom kind of disdains her for it. lol #elaine is smart enough and good enough with people to do it but she’s too soft #and wants to burn the whole thing down bc they sold mir to the order and stopped her sending letters to her #mir’s younger siblings are enjoying traveling as part of a ships crew while they work their way up but i don’t think their mom #has high hopes for them.#ironically given mir’s personality she might have been good at it if she’d been trained!!#and their mom knows this and knew it before she sold mir to the order but she was never going to let a magianis have control of it #which brings me back to the thing that started this: mir’s mom genuinely thought it was best to sell her to the order bc she couldn’t #protect mir from the consequences of being magianis and thought being trained by the order was the best way to keep her safe #and that if they paid for her they would think of her as an investment (merchant brain logic that was also just her pacifiying herself into #thinking it was right. did she actually believe this?? would it have mattered?? well. who can say!)#they do all have names i just can’t off the top of my head remember ahdhdjsk #oc: mirren sero #i need a text post tag #when was the last time i wrote a wall of tags about her…i miss her #i should add. her mom thought it would keep mir safe but also it was a convenient way to get her out of the way. so

i was reading back on old stuff bc im feeling my sonic muses and miss them, found out that Rough still believes in Santa, Mephiles traveled with Charmy back in time to let him see dinosaurs and then bullied Espio in regards to Charmy, Mephiles hinted towards Belle that the time travel has consequences but she keeps doing it anyway, Cassia almost died and Speedy freaked out over it and Zazz yeeted Zor's bed out of the window while Zor was still in it, Vector adopted Belle and she's part of the team, the whole SSF thing with my friends

It’s Wednesday for me, so here is a short snippet from one of my WIPs as my offering for WIP Wednesday.

This is from Time Travel (Has Unexpected Consequences), one of the stories that I'm writing for @hashiramaweek2023.

Hashirama strides to the compound gates, puzzled by the commotion. The Senju get visitors all the time, clients of every caste, from merchants to nobles, and his shinobi are accustomed to it. Why such a fuss would be raised over just one single person, enough that a runner was sent to beg his presence… There's only one man who ever created that kind of response… and that man is dead. It doesn't stop his steps from quickening as he gets closer though, his heart beating faster as he looks for long black hair, but he finds nothing. Only a pale man, surrounded by a ring of gaping faces.
