Rory x reader - corn mazes
Could I please request a Rory (Doctor Who) x reader with this prompt “Have you ever been to a corn maze?” “Now that’s a dumb question I don’t like corn why would I go to a maze full of it?” “No that’s not… never mind…” from your Halloween prompt list with reader saying the first bit and last bit? Also maybe reader could be a timelord/timelady? - Anon💜
The doctor had asked you to help with something, and being best friends with the time lord in question you didn’t hesitate when you agreed.
Maybe that was your downfall.
You knew the doctor.
You knew the situations the doctors often got into.
Yet you still always agreed whenever you got the message to go somewhere or helped with something.
You were a lone traveller unlike him, so you also enjoyed meeting his companions, and that’s how you found yourself in your current situation.
Back in the past of earth, probably around 1980, looking for a specific weeping Angel with one of his companions Rory.
Hands on your hips, you stared at the massive cornfield in front of you before turning to face Rory with a grin on your face.
“Have you ever been to a corn maze?”
Rory turned around to face you, still keeping a wary gaze on everything around you both, holding a torch in his hands.
“Now that’s a dumb question I don’t like corn why would I go to a maze full of it?”
You blinked a few times as you stared at him.
How did he just say that with a straight face?
Was he messing with you?
Did he mean it?
You couldn’t tell, you opened your mouth to say something before pausing, with a sigh you spoke up.
“No that’s not… never mind…”
Padding towards the entrance of the corn maze you turned to look at him, holding your hand out for him and wiggling your fingers.
“Well now you have Rory, take my hand.”
He seemed a bit nervous and hesitant but he slowly grabbed your hand, holding it tightly as you both entered the seemingly endless rows of corn.
You kept an eye on in front of you while he watched behind you both, trying to be as quiet as possible.
If you could just spot the weeping angel before it spotted you everything would be fine, though things were never that simple.
“How can one field of corn be so eerie?” Rory whispered.
“It’s not… it’s the fact we know something is hiding in here… I bet if we weren’t hunting for a weeping angel that’s hunting us it wouldn’t be so scary…”
“Then why are we hunting it?!”
You glance at him briefly before going back to looking around as you walked.
“Because it’s better to find it first!”
Rory sighed, moving himself a little bit closer to you, not wanting to get separated from your side.
“You’re just as reckless and impulsive as the doctor…” he grumbled.
“That’s what happens when you’re friends with someone for hundreds of years.” You beam.
Rory rolls his eyes at you, grumbling under his breath about just wanted to have one evening which was nice and chilled out without having to do things like this.
You carried on quietly walking as he grumbled.
Rory glanced at you every now and then.
You were as reckless as the doctor sure, but at least you were more careful and seemed to plan things better than the doctor did

Notes: I know I’ve been a way for a while and I’m sorry, uni and stuff. But thanks to the amazing inthisformiambadwolf and their amazing Ten/Reader story called To Have and To Hold, and their other stories too (check them out guys like seriously, they are all perf), plus the current marathon I’ve been having has led to this. I’m hoping this will lead to either a series or be a trial run of a Doctor/OC fic I’ve been thinking of. We will see what happens. Also, I don’t have access to any Classic Who…so it’s all from 9 to 12. You also be married (aww.) Also, sorry its jumpy I’m working on a fic idea so its kinda put into this as well so practice run? Also some of them (like the Snowmen episode) I chopped a massive bit out because I was going off of memory and didn’t have the time/energy to fix it, but if this does become a series and I do use these scenes again, then I’ll just rewrite as I can. Also, sorry about the shit title, I kept changing it. Still not happy with it, might change it later.
Buy Me a Coffee
The Doctor’s Lines
You had been married the Doctor through nine regenerations and ten faces, so you’d think you’d know him like the back of your hand by now. But every now and again, he’d pull something new out to keep you on your feet. And with his tenth face, his stupid, big-eared, leather-jacket-wearing face, his love of puns also formed its way into the form of extremely cheesy pick-up lines.
The first instance of this was just before you met the lovely Rose for the first time. When travelling by 1837 to view Queen Victoria’s coronation ended up with the two of you on the run from a small group of rogue fish-like aliens. His hand in yours, pulling you along somewhere were the two of you could recalculate your position.
“Doctor, over here!” You call out, pulling him towards an empty shop at the end of the street. Closing the door behind you, you simultaneously release a sigh of relief. You take a few steps back as his hand leaves yours as the Doctor goes to investigate the shop. “Alright, what now? Clearly, they are scared and trapped here. Not an invasion, we just need to figure out how to communicate with the-”
“Hey love?” You spin around to see your husband sending you a cheeky grin. “You had me at cello.” He declares proudly, holding the neck of the said instrument. You try to hold back your smile.
“Not the time, dear.” You state softly as he puts the cello away. He pouts.
“I thought it was clever.” He looks over at you and you try not to laugh at the fully-grown man sending you puppy-dog eyes.
“It was very clever love, I’m very proud.” He perked up, grabbed your hand and started to plan what to do next.
~
After that, it was like the Doctor made it his personal mission to find the cheesiest and worst pick-up lines to use on you. His next body was more flirty, and loved to think he was smooth.
The two of you raced down the corridor, trying your best to avoid DALEK fire. The two of you wait in the corner, waiting for a clear path out. “You alright, Doctor?” You quietly ask as you keep a look out.
“Fine, fine.” He mutters. “Ready?” You hum in agreement. “Before we go, here, hold this.” He holds out an empty hand. You turn to look at him, his hand, then back up to his grinning face as he wiggles his eyebrows at you.
“You think you are so smooth.” You grab his hand anyway as he begins to pull you away.
“I think you’ll find that I am so smooth.” His face turns from saucy to pouty again. You quickly kiss his cheek before the two of you take off running once again.
“You are so lucky that I love you.”
~
During one of your more quieter days was when the bow-tie wearing Doctor retook up his hobby of bad pick-up lines. After attempting to fix the Doctor’s fiddling with the TARDIS, you were taking her on a test flight when you felt two arms wrap around your waist. He kisses the side of his head as he watches over what you were doing.
“I bet 20 credits that you’ll turn me down.” He whispers into your ear.
Without hesitating, you place 20 credits into his hand and work your way out of his grip, moving to check another part of the panel, fighting a smirk. When you look up, you snort at the look of disbelief still plastered on the Doctor’s face.
“You alright, dear?” You can see what just happened computing in his brain as you grin. Feeling slightly bad (not really) you saunter over and pull him down for a kiss by his suspenders, trying to wipe the look off of his face. “I love you Doctor.”
“I love you too.”
~
The big eared Doctor wasn’t impressed with you. After you had saved Captain Jack Harkness from certain death, the two of you got into a massive argument. You were still fuming over the stupidity of the fight and were too hot headed to apologise, demand an apology or try and talk out the situation. Knowing this Doctor the way you do meant you seriously doubted that you were going to get an apology, even though it was equally both your faults.
You turn onto your side and pull your blankets up to your chin as you curl up on yourself. You just wanted to sleep and tomorrow forget that today ever happened.
You hear someone shuffling along the corridor outside your door, causing you to retreat into your warm hideaway just as they gently knock on your door. Once. Twice. You hear a sigh before something is slipped underneath your door.
You try to ignore it, but curiosity eats away at you until your feet lead you to the door almost automatically. The fancy, thick paper has clearly the Doctor’s messy handwriting scrawled in the middle. You hesitate before seeing what he has to say.
‘If I had a star for every time you brightened my day, I’d have a galaxy in my hand.’
You wanted to stay mad as you bit your lip, he was a jerk after all. But as the blood rushes to your face, you release that in this generation, this was the apology you wanted. Or as good as you could get anyway.
You open the door to see his semi-sheepish face looking back at you. “Ready to go?” You look back down at the paper before nodding, leaving your room with your arm through his.
“You are a massive sap, you know that right?”
~
You rolled your eyes at the Doctor as he rushes around the TARDIS, trying to back her up to get the side of the Titanic out of her. “Why did you have her shields down anyway?”
“I was rebuilding her!”
“Doctor, the last time you were rebuilding her, you froze her Chameleon circuits!” When you don’t get a response you huff and move to move the TARDIS for him before putting up the shields once more. “Doctor, its like you are a white dwarf. Extremely hot, but not very bright.” You mutter to yourself. His saucy look returns as he wiggles his eyebrows at you.
“You think I’m sexy?” You raise an eyebrow.
“And overconfident.” You add sarcastically. “Go get changed, I want to go dancing on the Titanic.”
~
Today was just one of those days. The Doctor had just gotten his sight back, which was a relief, but he was already getting into trouble. After the situation was resolved with the Ice Warriors on Mars, you were helping the Doctor, Bill and Godsacre finish the message to be seen in the future when the Doctor looked over to you, excitement clearly plastered over his face. ‘Oh no,’ you thought as he walks over, ‘he’s got a bad one coming.’
“Do you live on Mars?” He asks as soon as he is close to you. “Cause you are out of this world! Ha!”
“Proud of that one?” You ask dryly.
“Extremely.”
“Good, glad one of us is.”
~
You look out for Donna as she searches for her perfect man now that everyone has been evacuated from the library’s computer. It had been a long day, not quite defeating the Vashta Nerada (you did need to be gone within the next twenty hours, but you weren’t going to be eaten so you were kinda in a stand still at the moment), losing River and briefly losing Donna drained all of your energy as you morn the loss of yet another innocent person in your life.
The Doctor could tell that you just wanted to sleep and forget today had happened, your body language was enough to alert him that you probably weren’t going to be wanting any amazing adventures any time soon. Still, he wanted to make you feel better as he came to stand next to you.
“There was nothing we could have done.” He offers. You hum. He’s right, River had knocked you out and chained you to the wall, you probably would still be there if Lux hadn’t walked past twenty minutes later. “We got her saved into the computer, we might be able to get her out one day.” You simply look at him.
“Doctor, I love you, but we both know she is stuck there for the rest of the CAL’s life.” He nods. “But she is alive.” Silence rings between the two of you before he grasps your hand.
“I have a library card, do you mind if I check you out?” He smirks for a second before looking down at you worried. “Sorry, I’ve been meaning to say that all day and I-” You cut him off, laughing lightly.
“They just keep getting worse.” You chuckle before laughing harder. The Doctor smiles. You were going to be okay.
“I was thinking somewhere relaxing for our next trip, less running and so on. Do you think Donna would like a spa day?” The Doctor offers as you look at the disappointed Super Temp returning to where you were standing.
“I think so. Have any spa in mind?”
“Thought maybe Midnight, the diamond planet?” You nod.
“Sounds like a plan.”
~
Clara, the Doctor and you landed in the middle of the snowy forest, you instantly start shivering. The Doctor starts rubbing Clara’s arms to warm her as she complains and he explains the heat loss filter would kick in soon.
“I wish we had actual clothes.” You offer as Clara walks off and he turns to give the same treatment to you.
“Do you know what this shirt is made of?” The Doctor offers, trying to hide his excited smile. You sigh, another one was coming up.
“Technically, you aren’t wearing a shirt.” You try to defuse the inevitable cringe-worthy, cheesy line that was going to come next. He pouts, ignoring Clara as she walks closer towards the hand in the snow. “Fine, what’s it made of?”
“Boyfriend material.” He declares proudly.
“We are married, you complete and utter dunce.” You state fondly as you give him a quick kiss.
“You look cold. Want to use me as a blanket?” He offers as you take a step back.
“Seriously, why are you like this?”
“Clara step away from it!” You both shout at the same time, the hand grabbing her ankle.
“Don’t look away from it, it’s a Weeping Angel.” You explain. “It looks like a statue, but isn’t a statue. Can you get out?”
“Only if I get out of my shoe.”
“You’re not wearing a shoe.” The Doctor reminds her.
“Good point.” She continues to struggle.
“Doctor, help Clara, I’ll keep an eye on the Angel.”
~
Donna was dying for a coffee and would not leave the TARDIS before she got it. Which was okay, meant you and the Doctor had some time together just walking the streets of London. It didn’t happen often, usually you were running around, saving lives and planets. It felt almost strange to be standing in a Starbucks waiting for your coffees.
You had gotten pretty good and noticing when another line was popping up, the Doctor’s eyes if not face would light up with excitement when he hears to thinks of a new tacky pick-up line. But you were certain that something as simple as coffee wouldn’t cause him to think of a new one.
Oh how wrong you were.
“Do you work at Starbucks?” He starts as you sigh, waiting for the end of this. “Because I like you a latte.”
“Where do you even find half of these? Do you have a book hidden somewhere or what?” You grab the coffees and walk out. “If you do, I’m going to burn it.”
“No you don’t!” He looks at you offended. “I thought you loved my pick-up lines.”
“Yeah, sure.” You roll your eyes.
“I love you.”
“Love you too. Where are we off to next?”
~
You were being marched down the corridor towards God knows where, looking around for the TARDIS, the Doctor, some kind of sign or signal that he was on his way to save you. “What are you looking for?” One of the guards demanded.
You pause. “You could say that I’m looking for my Mr. Right?” You offer right before a large chunk of the wall exploded, causing the six of you to fly against the opposite wall.
“Hi, I’m Mr. Right. I heard you were looking for me.” The northern accented Doctor makes his entrance as you make your way onto your feet.
“How long have you been sitting on that one?” You ask as he sonics your cuffs, releasing you from your chains.
“A while.” He admits. “Come on!” He pulls you away as you start to run towards the TARDIS and to safety.
~
You know you had done the right thing, Missy was both the Doctor’s and your friend, no matter what her previous regeneration’s actions had been. But going from adventure to adventure to being stuck in the University thanks to Nardole’s insistence that the TARDIS be more or less turned off.
The three of you were getting on each other’s nerves, thirty-five years of doing pretty much nothing. The Doctor was fine, he could teach. You on the other hand, as a married woman in the 1910, weren’t allowed to teach. Being in Wales didn’t help either.
Things were already getting tense, the Doctor couldn’t stand being in one place for too long and was becoming insufferable. The latest argument exploded over something minor said when you were found, yet again, trying to enter the TARDIS for something to do. The Doctor sided with Nardole, and after years of putting up with his attitude due to his boredom, you snapped.
In hindsight, there were better ways to deal with it, and you probably should have taken that path, but after been turned down from job after job due to your marriage, being told by both of the men that you couldn’t go see Missy because it was too dangerous even though they went in to see her almost daily and the Doctor not making an apparent effort to try and understand your frustrations at all, you couldn’t handle it. So, after a screaming match that would have woken up all of Cardiff if it wasn’t for the TARDIS’ covenant sound-proofing, you stormed out.
You had been walking around the town aimlessly, purchasing the few necessities you had run out of as you went to try and keep yourself busy as you worked off some steam. You had been walking for hours, the sun had gone down and you left at noon, before you finally made your way back to your shared apartment, where Nardole was pacing the living room and seemed to be a bit stressed.
“The Doctor and I have been looking for you.” He scolded lightly as sat down on the worn out couch. “After you didn’t come back after his next class, we both started to become worried. It’s not safe for you to be out on your own.”
“It’s Cardiff.” You rolled your eyes. “I was fine.”
“What about James Marks, eh? Could have run into another fellow like him.”
“The guy that exposed himself to a female with apparent intent to harm? Please, I’ve faced DALEKS, I can face a human criminal.” You looked over to him. “I get that you and the Doctor care, but you can’t assume I’m going to run off. I was trying to find something to do, the Doctor is an University professor and you are his valet. I have nothing. Can’t do anything, can’t help in anyway. Do you know how frustrating that is?” He thought for a second.
“Maybe we could open up a small business to keep you busy?” He offered. “That’d be nice, just something small to keep you occupied and make a little bit of extra money on the side.” You paused, trying to think of what you could do.
“I think that could work. Thank you Nardole.” You smiled over to him before you suddenly saw a small envelope on the table in front of you. “Who’s this?”
“Yours I think, the Doctor left it for you when he went out looking for you. I stayed here in case you came back.” Nardole sat next to you as you opened it to pull out the thick paper. Circular handwriting looks back at you as you read the Gallifrean.
‘I love you. And I was wrong. Your beauty makes the morning look like the dull glimmer of the moon.’
You smiled, cheeks reddening slightly as Nardole looked over your shoulder. “What’s it say, then?”
You paused, trying to think of what to say before you realised what it actually was. “An apology. It’s an apology.”
~
Your bow-tie wearing Doctor was out of the TARDIS, which was good. He had been stuck up there since the Ponds were taken by the Angels, which devastated you but the Doctor….the Doctor took it harder than you did.
The snow was something different, as it fell you had an eerie feeling that something was wrong. You were sure the Doctor did too, but he didn’t want to frighten or make you think that he was trying to find some alien mystery when there wasn’t one.
The Doctor wasn’t the same when the Ponds were taken, you made sure to go down and see Madame Vastra, Jenny and Strax at least once a week, at the very least to get an update of London and you’d give them and update of the Doctor. You then had something to tell him, to distract him, even if it didn’t work until Vastra called saying someone said that the one word used to describe their problem was pond. That got him on the case quick smart.
So, here you were. Strax was struggling with the memory worm, the Doctor was telling him off, the governess that had the issue and you were giggling at their antics. The Doctor looked over at you to shut up as Strax, yet again forgets the gauntlets, which caused you to raise an eyebrow and continue giggling. He rolled his eyes before grabbing your hand and turned to Clara.
“Don't come looking for us. Forget about us. You understand?” He warned her before pushing her into the carriage, retaking your hand once he stepped back.
“What about the snow? Shouldn't we be warning people?” Clara insisted, looking over to the two of you.
“Not my problem. Merry Christmas. Take her back where we found her.” He instructed Strax after brushing her off and started to lead you away, the both of you hearing Strax’s ‘sir, ma’am’ behind you before he takes off. You moved to link arms with the Doctor to stop him from dragging you off.
“Doctor, we both know that if it’s a human problem, then it’s your problem.” You gently stated, trying to hide a smirk as you realise that Clara was, indeed, following the both of you. “Humanity could be in danger, and normally you make it your responsibility to, ya know, save them.” He frowns.
“No, not this time.”
“I know you are upset, luv, but we need to keep doing what we do.” The glare alone was enough to stop the words in your mouth. “Okay, just know whatever you decide to do I’m supporting you all the way.” The two of you walked in silence for a bit as you watched the snow. “Snowmen, low telepathic field. Very alien.”
“Y/N.” He warned.
“Yes dear.” You placed your best poker face as the next sentence formed in your head. “I must be a snowflake, because I’ve fallen for you.” The Doctor’s face tightened as he tried to hide his smile.
“Really?”
“I miss the pick-up lines.” You confessed. “But I love you.” You stated firmly as he pulls down the ladder and offered you his hand to lead you into going first. He kisses your temple as you grasp the rails of the ladder.
“I love you too.”
~
Visiting Van Gogh was partially difficult. You had a bit of a past with depression, and seeing the great artist himself caused a whole lot of feelings you didn’t want to address to reappear. After rereturning to the gallery post seeing his reaction to his paintings in the 21st Century, you caught Amy crying in the TARDIS.
“Amy? Are you okay?” She wiped away her tears in an attempt to hide her reaction to your current adventure. “Oh, come here sweetheart.” You pulled her close in an attempt to console her, the both of you sat on the stairs in the control room. “What’s wrong, love?”
“After everything we did, what we showed him, why did he still do that?” You hummed, understanding her confusion.
“Depression….it’s like herpes.” She looked at you really weirdly. “Hear me out. You have your oral herpes, your cold sores, that go away with time. That’s some depression. Then you have herpes herpes, the bad kind that never goes away. You say ‘tomorrow, I’m going to do all these changes, I’m going to keep up to date with my meds and make my life a better place and I won’t have herpes because of these changes’. The next day, the herpes are gone. But the virus is still there. The symptoms, they come back and sometimes they come back with vengeance.” You paused to pass her a tissue as she dabs her eyes. “The same thing is with depression. In the case of Vincent, it’s a disease that never truly goes away, he might have felt better for a month or two but the disease came back. And it got worse. But he kept his paintings because he knew they would help people in the future, and he knew you’d go see them one day. And do you know what.” You pulled yourself away and smiled down at her. “I bet you that he thought of you and how ginger your kids would be until the day he died.” She laughed a little.
“Did we make him happy?”
“Yes, I think we did.” She nodded, pleased with that answer.
“I think I’m going to go to bed.” She said after a few minutes of quiet thinking. “Good night.”
“Good night Amy, we will see you in the morning.” You let her to go her room without any fuss, knowing that she would be fine and in the later stages of grieving in the next few days. Getting up, you walked over to the control panel and started to plot where you would ideally like to visit next, even though the Doctor and TARDIS probably had other ideas.
“Are you okay?” You looked over to see a very nervous-looking Doctor. “I noticed that…..at the gallery….you seemed to be struggling.” You smiled over at him as he came up to hold you tightly.
“I’m fine. Just had a few moments where I needed to readjust myself.” You push away at the hair covering his eyes. “Thank you for worrying.”
“Always.” He kisses you lightly. “You know, if a thousand painters worked for a thousand years, they could not create a work of art as beautiful as you.” You rolled your eyes, smiling softly.
“Do you know what? I’m just going to take that.”
~
Bill was having the time of her life out on the ice, viewing all the different things that 19th Century Britain had to offer. Meanwhile, you had lost the Doctor. You kept careful guard of your sonic screwdriver, the only valuable you had, as you wander the streets looking for him. People bombarded you with advertising, entertainment and pleading for spare change and assistance, to all you said no to. You knew the game, you weren’t losing anything.
It wasn’t until a Scottish voice behind you scared you out of your guarded state. “Hello, are you married?” You turned to see a grinning Doctor.
You hesitated. “Yes….?”
“I didn’t hear you say happily.” You let out an annoyed sigh as you slap his chest lightly.
“I’m married to you, you twat!” You exasperated.
“I know. Lucky you.” You shake your head before linking arms with him and walking off in an attempt to refind Bill.
~
The Child was beginning to freak you out. Super strong, able to communicate through phones and God knows what else, all of them was setting you off when you realised that you were in the Child’s room. Jumping through the hole in the wall provided by with Jack, you are tossed the banana the Doctor placed in place of his gun. “Don’t drop the banana!”
“I won’t!” You called back out as Jack and Rose asked why.
“Good source of potassium!” Doctor called back. “Hey, Y/N!”
“This better be important!” You moved up next to him. “What is it?”
“Are you a banana? Because I find you a-peeling!” He laughed at his joke as you punch his arm.
“Really not the time Doctor.”
~
Bill was home safe and you had just found out the Doctor had not, in fact, regained his sight after fighting the Space Zombies from Hell. You weren’t happy about the lying but you were helping him adjust to his new blind status, even though you weren’t impressed that he decided not to tell Bill.
It had been a fortnight after the incident, and you had come up with a system that allowed you to communicate where he needed to move to avoid danger or to look in the right direction without anyone knowing you were doing so, and taught him how to read braille, along with coming up with a system in the TARDIS so the Doctor could find whatever he needed whenever he needed it. He knew you were still not impressed, but you were both coping with the new changes.
“Hey Y/N!” You popped your head out of the kitchen and into the hallway at the sound of the Doctor’s voice, wiping your wet hands on a tea towel..
“Yeah?!”
“I need you in the library!” The rich, accented voice rung out.
“Hang on then!” You ditched the towel and half-jogged, half-walked to the library. “What is it?” You saw him hunched over the desk in the middle of the room.
“Can you come here please? I need you to read my palm, I’ve written something on there but I don’t know if its legible.” You sighed as you walked over and placed your head on his shoulder, looking over to see both of his palms empty.
“Doctor, there’s nothing there….”
“Ah yes, I didn’t expect you to see anything because love is blind.” You took a step back. “Y/N?”
“Okay, no, seriously, run because I am going to kill you.” He laughed at your reaction. “That was so bad it’s not even funny.”
“You love it.”
“Yeah, sure, keep telling yourself that buddy.” He stood up and you walked over to face him. “In front. Are you sure you are okay?”
“I’m fine. I’m always fine. I’m the Doctor.” He tried to reassure.
“I know. That’s why I worry.” He smiled down at you as you stood on your tiptoes and gave the tip of his nose a kiss. “We’ll be okay yeah.” He pulled you in for a hug.
“We will always be okay, I promise you that.”
~
After Vampire Fish in Venice, you needed a break. All you wanted was to watch a little bit of Netflix and relax with some junk food and maybe a nap between shows.
Rory was cool with that, he needed just a little bit to not so much process or accept, but just think over what had happened during the last 48 hours. Amy and the Doctor, on the other hand, wanted to keep going.
“An hour. Just an hour of watching Netflix, then we can go.” You pleaded. “Or you two go by yourself and do something, Rory and I don’t mind, do we Rory?”
“No, no, you lot go ahead. We are fine here.” He agreed as Amy pouted a little.
“It’s no fun if its just the two of us.” They all ignored the Doctor’s ‘hey!” in protest as they tried to figure it out. “If we watch one movie, can we go after that?”
“Sure!” Rory and you both state together.
“I have to choose.”
“Don’t care, Amy’s choice. Up to you.” You nodded as you directed the couple to the entertainment room. “Come along Doctor.” You called over your shoulder.
Forty minutes into some movie from the 22nd Century that Amy said looked interesting, the human couple were sound asleep, Amy draped over her fiancé as the Doctor sat behind you, playing with your hair as you watch the movie, staring at you as you do so.
“Alright there, dear?” You question.
“Are you Netflix? Because I could watch you for hours.”
“Hun, I love you, and I appreciate the attempt, but that’s very creepy.” You pat his arm lightly.
“I tried.”
“And I appreciate that.” You pull him in for a kiss. “Now shush, I wanna see the end of this movie.”
~
It had been five months since the Monks had taken over Earth, and the Doctor had nearly finished rehabilitating the men that were keeping you ‘captive’. With your small army nearly ready, you had to prepare a way to figure out if Bill was still Bill, or had given into the Monks reprograming.
“I think out of all the aliens we have encountered, the Monks are the worst.” You complain as the camera is taken away from the room after another recording was demanded from the two of you.
“Was your father an alien? Because there’s nothing else like you on Earth!” You looked over to the soldier who said that with a slightly raised eyebrow as the Doctor’s attack eyebrows furrowed together to form a lethal stare of death.
“Don’t you start too. I’ve never gotten it out of him.” You indicated to the Doctor.
“You’re married? He’s old enough to be your grandfather!” That angered the Doctor even more, and you knew you had to defuse the situation.
“It’s all about the experience, love.” You sent over a cheeky wink as you noticed the slight victory smirk accompanying the slight red tinge on the Doctor’s cheeks. The soldier laughs it off and moves on to complete his other duties. “You alright, love?”
“Am I too old for you?” He asked as he pulled you close. He was normally against the hugging, but never with you.
“Never! I love you always, regardless of your age, you know that.” You played with the few loose curls at the back of his head. “Can’t believe it wasn’t you who said that.”
“I was going to, someday. I had it saved away for another time.” You grinned.
“Ah well, I’m sure you have more.” You pulled away. He grinned, the red beginning to fade.
“You are out of this world you know.”
“I know. Thank you, I love you.”
“I love you too.”

Can you please write 13 with Dhawan!Master and Timelady/Lord! Reader. I’m kind of imagining the Master saying it about their wedding (they’re married but reader’s the doctor’s best friend and travels with her). Do whatever you want though! Thank you!
Lifetimes
Dhawan!Master X Reader
Summary: Back when you both lived on Gallifrey, you and The Master were married and had a child. Now, centuries later when it's all fallen apart, you finally address what had once been.
Warnings: Mention of child death
A/N: I loved writing this, and if anyone wants it I could try do a part 2, or something with the same storyline but set a little differently. Let me know what you think!
The Master was a person you tried very hard not to think about.
Most of the time that was really quite easy, travelling with The Doctor. She never liked to mention him, and that suited you just fine. Because you were with her, he only ever popped up every century or so but whenever he did it was like he always opened an old wound, letting the pain leak in and your anger leak out.
So every time you fought it.
You fought to forget him. You fought to forget your relationship. You fought to forget that once, many lifetimes ago, you two had been married.
The Doctor knew of this of course. She had been there on Gallifrey when you and him had tied the knot, when you and him had been filled with the hope that you'd spend the rest of your regenerations by eachother's side. That never happened, though. The Master changed during the time war, becoming cold and angry. You had too, to a certain extent. So much bloodshed and heartache lay between you two, and the distance had began to feel like acres. When The Doctor had decided to leave Gallifrey, you'd gone with her, desperate to escape your crumpled marriage and war torn planet.
You hadn't talked with him about it, not properly, in years. Your reluctance to try fix what had been broken, and his reluctance to change what he had become had resulted in centuries going by where you hadn't even properly acknowledged your past with him. You didn't talk about it and didn't think about it - neither did he.
That didn't mean that something didn't still remain between you two, though.
Every look you shared was laced with the question of how your lives could have been if you had stayed, or if he'd gone back to the man he once was. Each interlude you had with him was tinged with pain, and the loss of what could have been.
None more so than this time. You're on Gallifrey, for the first time in a millennia, and he's got you trapped in the matrix. Technically, he's done worse things to you, but as you stand in the grey abyss staring at his face, no Doctor in sight, you really wonder if he could ever do anything to you more painful than this. It's all stripped away in here, and you can feel emotions begin to well. There's no where to hide in this empty space, no where to run to and no way to stop the memories. He looks at you the same way he's always looked at you, eyes filled with pain, loss and love.
"I'm sorry I had to bring you here, but you need to know the truth."
"Why am I here?" You breathe.
"I need to show you what made me burn Gallifrey," He tells you, stepping closer. "I need to show you that our past does still mean something to me."
"What are you talking about?"
You know exactly what he's talking about, but what he's talking about is too painful to stare in the face.
"You know what I'm talking about."
"I'm am not discussing this right now, not here of all places."
"Over a thousand years has gone by and here we are back at the start. I'd say no better time or place to discuss it than now."
"I don't want to."
"You can't just keep pretending that it didn't happen, because guess what? It did!" He tells you angrily, grabbing your arm before you can back away. "We were married, Y/N, and we lived together and we loved eachother and we had a child together."
That does it. The mention of your daughter drops all of your fronts in an instant.
"Don't you dare mention her." You hiss back angrily.
"What?" He continues, watching you reach your breaking point and pressing your buttons harder, because Rassilon knows that it breaks him just as much as it does you. "Our little girl, Y/N? Our baby, with the blonde ringlets, and the most beautiful hazel eyes, who died in the time war when-"
"Shut up!" You scream at him, trying and failing to pull out of his grip, tears rolling down your cheeks.
Tears well in his eyes too as he gazes down at you shaking in his arms, watching as years of pent up sadness and grief falsh over your features.
"Why?" You gasp through your tears. "Why are you doing this now? It's been so many centuries, so many lives..."
"What I'm about to show you is going to change everything," He replies sadly, his grip on you loosening, and you let his hand cup your cheek. "I need you to know before I do this, that I love you, and I never ever stopped loving you. I need you to acknowledge what we once were."
"It hurts." You reply weakly. "You hurt."
"I know." He wipes a tear from your cheek. "I regret so much when it comes to you. Things could have been so different, but I ruined it and I don't hate you for leaving me like to you did."
"You don't?" You ask, surprised.
"I could never hate you. You meant so much to me, and I know you might not feel the same way anymore-"
"It's a lot easier to pretend," You say softly. "That we never happened and that I never loved you. And we can't fix any of this, you know? Not with one conversation and not while you've destroyed our planet."
"I know." Is all he reponds with. He's surprised that when he leans down, you allow him to press a delicate kiss to your lips. So soft and so unlike him - something you hadn't experienced for years and years. You'd missed it, you find.
"It hurts, Koschei." You say again.
"It does," He says sadly, and suddenly his fingers are reaching for your temples. "And darling, it's about to hurt a whole lot more."

Seduction and jealousy
13th Doctor x reader
You are wearing some rather suggestive clothes and The Doctor gets a little jealous when you grab the attention of a alien King.
💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕
"Uh, sorry Sir." You apologized and look up at the person you've bumped into, only to see it was the Alien lord of a planet The Doctor have decided to visit, claiming that it host the greatest alien parties.
"Oh, it's quite alright beautiful lady." The alien lord said in his smooth voice, his aqaumarine blue eyes sweeping over your body hungrily.
You blushed at that, standing akwardly and rubbing the side of the royal blue dress you are wearing. It had lace at the chest part that was cut rather low, giving a tiny bit of view of your breasts but not enough so it's too unproper for the occassion with a sapphire necklace and matching earings to fit with it.
"What's a lovely lash like you doing all alone here." He questioned, finally looking up at your (E/C) eyes.
"I-I'm not alone. I'm here with my friends." You said nervously. "I just got lost in the crowd."
He nodded but shrug it off, offering his pale hand to you. "I'm Lord Daegal. But you my dear can just call me Daegal."
You gently shook his hand. "Nice to meet you. I'm (Y/N)." You smiled shyly, yet uncomforably under his intese aqaumarine eyes that seems to be taking every detail of you in.
"May I have this dance beautiful lady?" He finally asked in his honey smooth voice, holding his arm out towards.
"But I have to go find my friends, I'm sure they are looking for me." You tried to decline his request.
"Your friends can wait. I'm sure they won't mind you having a little fun." He took a hold of your wrist.
"Fine. But just one dance." You gave in, trying not to seem rude, and especially not wanting to anger a Lord and risk you and the fam being hunted down by angry aliens.
A smirk plastered across his pale pink lips, dragging you to the floor as his people allow him some space in the middle of the beautifully decorated room to dance with you, resuming their dancing too around him.
The Doctor glare at the Lord, regretting that she had even suggested going to this planet in the first place.
"Stupid alien lords." The Doctor grumbels, her hold on her wine glass tightening.
"What was that Doc?" Yay asked from next to The Doctor.
"Nothing." The Doc said, not looking at Yaz, hoping she won't notice the lie.
"Are you jealous of Lord Daegal?!" Yaz amusedly asked, sparing you and the alien Lord a glance.
"NO! I…I'm not. She can dance with whomever she please." The Doctor mutter out, sparing a brief glance and you and the Lords way.
The Doctor clenses her fist when seeying Lord Daegal moving his pale hands too low for comfort on your sides while leaning down to whisper something in your ear as his lip graze just slightly against your earlobe that had made you tense up.
"Oh please Doctor. I've seen the way you've always looked at (Y/N). And also always glaring at anyone that seems to take interest in her." Yaz explained, smirking when seeying The Timelady's glare at the Lord.
"Are you going to get your girl or are you really gonna allow Lord Daegal to sweep her away from you forever." Yaz just had to use that, smirk growing even more as The Doctor got up, angrily marching over to you and the alien lord.
"Exuse me, but I'd really like her back." The Doctor had a firm grip on the Lord's arm that had tried to ghost even lower, hazel eyes glaring daggers into his aqaumarine eyes.
"D-doctor." You breated out in relief, taking her arm and stepping out of Lord Daegal's hold.
The Doctor spared you a glance, giving you a soft smile while pulling you away from him before she glance back at him, noticing the way he is intensly glaring at her and mouthing under his breath 'You'll regret this Doctor.'
The Doctor ignored him, keeping a firm grip around your hand while telling Yaz to go and fetch the others so they could leave before the alien lord start something, urgently dragging you towards The TARDIS with Yaz and the others joining them inside soon after.
"Thanks Doc, I was really getting uncomfortable with that Lord." You thanked her once The TARDIS took off.
The Doctor grinned."No problem. I'm just glad I stopped him from taking things further with you. That dress looks rather seductive." The Doctor bit her bottom lip making you blush at her words while Yaz groan in the background.
"Just kiss her already Doctor." Yaz yelled before following Graham and Ryan further away as you blushed even more.
"Maybe she's right." The Doctor said to herself under her breath, gently putting her arms around you're waist and pulling you closer, electing a gasp from you before The Doctor smashed her soft lips against yours.
You stood frozen in shock for a moment before slowly looping your arms around her neck and kiss her back with passion.
After a few moments The Doctor pulled away from you to allow you to catch your breath, holding you to her while giving you a fond smile.
"I didn't like Lord Daegal's hands all over you." She admitted in a whisper making you grin.
"Figured that much out at the way you were glaring at him and the deadly grip you had on his arm. You looked ready to throw him into a blackhole." You teased, kissing her cheeck as she chuckled.
"A blackhole you say? I'll keep that in mind next time anyone tries to flirt with you." She joked.
"Aww don't be jealous. I only have eyes for you." You mused, kissing the side of her mouth before pulling her in for a deeper kiss.
Yaz, Graham and Ryan groaned in the background.
"Okay lovebirds! Get a room!" Yaz said loudly before pulling Graham and Ryan away with her to go and watch a movie.
"Now that sounds like a fun idea." You said and pulled The Doctor's bow tie, trying to get her to follow.
The Doctor does so without hesitation, eagerly following. "Ah, yes, great idea indeed."
Needless to say, Yaz complained about the sounds she've heard but loved to use that as a way to tease you and The Doctor.
💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕💙💕
Had half a mind to draw my OC Lord Daegal but decided against it.
Sorry, know this sucks but damn I've lost some insperation, this day was rough but I'll try my best with the others again.
Might delete this if I come up with an other idea better than this, just kinda dissapointed with this one.

Old wounds never heal - 1/2
Anon Ask: “Hi, I am so sorry to hear abt. Ur cat sweetie. If Ur still looking 4 dat prompt U asked abt. last night might I suggest reader is a timelady/timelord who knew the doctor and the master back on Gallifrey. She somehow gets looped into the whole Kasavin mess and there's just ANGST. (You could change this if you want too, I hope you feel better)”
I’m kinda not happy with how I wrote this one, but I hope you enjoy, I have plans for the next one, might take me a while though. Thank you again for the ask!
A shrill ring throughout the Tardis, and everyone but the Doctor jumps.
"What is that?" Yaz, as always, is the first to question from the other side of the console.
"Better question Yaz, who is that?" The time lord stares at the phone on the console in hesitation. "No one's meant to know the number for the tardis." Her companions look between each other, and Ryan shrugs, before one of them decides to pipe up.
"Well pick it up then! Whoever it is, they might need our help. Does say it on the outside of your blue box anyway, Doc." Graham had a good point, but she was still cautious. She hadn't had a true call come through in god knows how long, so of course, the suspicion was natural as she brought the phone up to her ear.
"Hello?" There was a pause, and a thankful sigh on the other end of the line.
"Doctor, hello! Do you know how hard it is to find the number for this thing? Really need to work on that." Whoever you are, you're ranting down the phone about how bad her Tardis design must be to barely have a connection, let alone a working phone number. She doesn't appreciate it, but the ease at which you complain about her blue box feels largely familiar.
"Right, sorry, but who are you?" There was a light hint of offense in her tone, to which you couldn't help but smile. You knew you had the right number at least, no other time lord would get so defensive over you insulting their ship.
"An old friend, and we have a lot to discuss."
-
You'd landed in Australia, and, from the doctors explanations, it had seemed like quite a lot had gone down on your way here. Something about light beings and mi6, which to be fair, made your adventures look like a cozy night in with a cup of tea (which, let's be honest, most of them were).
Her companions were quite a lively bunch, too. Yaz, the plucky young police woman looking for adventure, and something more interesting than a mundane life. Ryan, arguably quieter than the rest, but not unsure of himself, and certainly not stupid. Then Graham, the oldest of the three, grandad to Ryan and the realist of the group, you could tell he wasn't as much one for the danger in this life.
Your introduction was brief, but it didn't take you long to get to know them with how welcoming they all seemed.
"I thought me and the master were the only ones left..." The doctor looked tired, haggard even, a very different face from the last time you'd seen the time lord, before the fall of Gallifrey. You both sat on the porch, away from the others, drinking something that was probably iced tea but definitely didn't taste like it.
"I guess you rubbed off on me too much...I followed your advice, in the end. Stole a tardis and ran off before all hell broke loose. I take it you know what happened after that?" She nodded. Your home planet was gone one moment, back the next, and neither of you knew what to think anymore. "But...doctor, there's something you should know..."
You didn't have the time, ironically, because 'O' had burst out the front door rattling off something about a code, and then the doctor was back in action, giving you a hand up. "We can continue this little chat later, yeah? It'll be nice to work with another time lord again."
"Likewise, Doctor."
-
The energy around the Doctor was not something you were used to anymore. Always on high, this little adventure was definitely something bigger than you'd all imagined.
Especially since she'd made you get all dressed up to infiltrate a party, bit extra in your opinion, but, you assumed, necessary.
'O' was the most interesting of the Doctors friends, that much you had noticed in the brief moments spent getting to know everyone.
"So...you're like her then?"
"Like who?"
"The doctor. You're a time lord aswell?"
"Yeah, basically." You shrugged. "Two hearts, all of my own, and a Tardis to boot... Why?" The mi6 agent seemed to be way more intrigued in your origins than you'd expected, but you guessed that's what came with having such an infatuation with the Doctor. He did own a whole shelf full of information about her, after all.
Although, you'd admit, the attention you'd gained from him wasn't exactly a bad thing.
"Sorry if that offended you...it's just, she said she was the last of her kind." You hadn't meant to come off as defensive with your question, but you did find your gaze drifting back to the other time lord at his words. It's never an easy life running from a past you can't change, even more so when you're by yourself.
"No, you didn't offend me, sorry, not used to people asking questions about me, that's all," you brushed it off calmly before carrying on, "I guess that's what she believed, and to be honest, I almost believed I was the last aswell,"
The agent was very attentive, listening to your every word, and you were really starting to understand the Doctors weird affinity for humans, "spent years trying to find her again, I'd almost given up... Maybe fate just has a funny way of bringing people together when they need them the most."
"Huh. That's a... nice way of looking at it."
-
This was...not what you were expecting. At all. Finding the Doctor was one thing, but finding the Master? Disguised as 'O'? That was...something else entirely, and suddenly, all of his previous questions were beginning to make sense.
"So this is what you do now? After everything!? What the hell happened between you two while I was gone!?" The Doctors got her sonic trained on the bomb, trying to slow it down atleast, and the Master's yelling in the background.
"Now, do you really think I would not make that sonic proof, Doctor!? Come on!"
"We...had a falling out! We can talk about it later, I dont know!" The Doctor's getting more wound up as the countdown doesn't stop. The Master tells you it's 'deadlock sealed, No parachutes on board'. This wasn't the same time lord you knew back on gallifrey at all, no, he was something else entirely, feeding off the chaos, and the wild look in his eyes only served to confirm it.
"Well this looks like quite the falling out to me!!" You argue back, settling once again into your old habit of calling her out after all these years.
Yaz is the only one of the Doctors companions to fire off a question despite the situation. This girl was starting to grow on you with her fiery attitude. Barton's gone, so this is definitely a death trap after all.
"Stick with me, Yaz, cos I control...everything. Even these guys." A snap of his fingers, and a spin. Dramatic, of course. That's his getaway ticket, and your cue to haul the Doctor out of the cockpit by her suit jacket, slamming the door shut behind you. The blast throws you both, and you know you're braced above her, but there's no time for embarrassment. Instead, you're glad to have atleast shielded her from the brunt of it.
However, now the plane's going down, and the Master just has to get the last word in.
"Everything you think you know... is a lie. Got you, finally." There's the split second after that last laugh, he's about to teleport, whisked away by his new 'friends', but you kick up from your position and practically leap over the Doctor to get to him in time.
You're not letting him go. Not now. Not without answers.
Your hand comes down on his arm.
You both faze out.
Checkmate.

Do you write for the master?? If so, I’d love a Dhawan!master fic, where he is just really reallysoft. I know it’s ooc, but I love the idea of him being soo soft on the reader, and vice versa.Bonus points if they’re both time lords and as mad as each other, but utterly and completely in love with one another? Just the Master, a man of power and destruction, being completely soft on his wife, who is also powerful, but melting and flirting with each other as if they’re not married, but they are!😍
Best wife a timelord could ask for | The Master
edit: so annon requested a few extra details for the story in a second ask, however i had already started writing this and didn't see the second part. i think i'm gonna make a seperate fanfic based on their second ask!!
The Master was known for many things, being crazy, his hatred the doctor and even his quirky personality.
However, one thing that ninety nine percent of people didn't know was that The Master had a kind, loving and soft side. The one percent that knew was really only one person.
A shy timelady, called Y/n. She was on her fourth regeneration and had known The Master since day one. Unforchantely, that also came with the misfortune of knowing The Doctor
It was safe to say that the two fell in lovebat first sight. They stuck with eachother through thick and thin, through every generation that the two had.
Their love for eachother never faded. He fell in love with her mischevious smjle, shy tendencies andd hidden devillish side. She fell in love with his confidence and craziness The two were a perfect pair, their love knew no limits.
"Honey! I'm home!" He chuckled at the phrase as he strolled into yiur shared tardis. "Welcome back, love. Did you destroy anything today" She giggled, running into his, now wide open, arms and olacing a sweet kiss on his cheek. "Of course! I trapped our good old pal in the Kasaavin realm" He grinned at you, genuine fondess in his eyes as you laughed and intertwined your fingers with this.
"That's my timelord" She whispered squeezing his hand as he bent down, kissing her sweetly on the ljps. "Your timelord and your timelord only" He smirked playfully, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. The genuine smile of happiness and content came back as he fell back onto the sofa, pulling Y/n down with him.
As the girl let out a small squeal of suprise, The Master chuckled, kissing her forehead and running his fingers through her soft hair. "Hey, Y/n?" "Yeah?" She replied, tilting your head as you looked up at him, her head lay on his shoulder
"I love you- so much" He muttered to you, a sigh of content leaving his mouth as he snuggled further into the couch. "I love you more" Y/n teased him playfully as a light pink dusted both of their cheeks. "No, trust me, you do not" He chuckled out, starting to style her hair. The girl just smiled, shaking her head as The Master gently braided her hair.
"You're the best wife a timelord could ask for"
a/n: soft dhawan!master is best master.i literally starred writing this as soon as it was requested, i love Sacha so much as The Master and the idea of him being soft for his timelord wife is so adorable.

Truth Serum - Twelfth Doctor x Reader
By: Ineffable-Timelady
You wake up feeling dizzier than you ever have. Your head is throbbing as though theres an entire stampede running around in there and stomping all over your brain. You haven't even opened your (e/c) eyes yet and you already know that once you do, you'll feel nauseated. You try to lift a hand to your head only for it to be in vain as you quickly realize that you're chained to a chair. Your eyes instantly fly open and you ignore the intense throbbing as you take in the room.
You've never been here before, that's for sure. It looks sort of like a dungeon, making your stomach churn in concern. The walls of the room are made from what looks to be old cement blocks with large cracks and moss growing on them. Each wall is bare and you notice the wall that you are facing has a wooden door attached to it.
Although you want to scream and cry for help, you choose instead to analyze your situation. First question, what happened? Second, where are you? Third, how will you escape? Somewhere in between each of those questions are some minor sub-questions that you are certain you'll ask, but for now those are the main three.
You think back to the last memory you have before appearing in this dark murky dungeon. The smell of mildew and petrichor reach your nose as you try to focus, and petrichor immediately makes you remember. You were leaving the TARDIS to go home for a bit, needing a break from the Doctor. You love him, of course (and of course he doesn't know that), but sometimes he would just be so rude without realizing and it pissed you off.
What happened after you left? Why cant you remember? Oh, theres those sub-questions! You choose to worry about those questions later as they just make you dizzier.
You take another look around the room, taking more in since your vision isn't as blurry. The walls are bare, as you concluded before, but there are some... blood stains? Definitely blood. And tally marks. Someone had been here before you for a long time. You realize that not only are your hands chained down to a chair, but so is your head and feet. Whoever kidnapped you really wants to make sure you comply.
You let out a huff and cast your eyes as far down as you could. You're in completely different clothes than anything you own, but at least there are clothes instead of being stark naked. There's a needle in your arm that looks sort of like an IV needle, but it isn't hooked up to anything.
You look up as you hear the door unlocking and suck in a breath. Whoever your captors are, they're standing right beyond that door. The door creaks as it opens and you mentally prepare yourself for some type of dangerous alien. Daleks? No, they would just exterminate you. Cybermen? Doubt it, but possible since they have hands... Your mind runs quickly to think of what could be on the other side of the door until the thing on the other side takes one step in.
You sit in shock for a moment when you see someone who looks human. He smirks at you and eyes you a bit before he opens his mouth to speak.
"Do please continue to compare me to other aliens. It's quite amusing to see just how wrong you are."
His voice is familiar. Everything about this man is familiar. He's blond with menacing blue eyes, has a small goatee, hes wearing a hoodie and some slacks and his aura just screams dangerous.... but its also comforting. You just stare at him for a moment before responding in a very raspy voice.
"You heard me?" You ask, your voice cracking a bit. The man just chuckles and walks over to you with a glass of water. He places the glass at your lips and only gives you a sip.
"I'm slightly psychic," is his only response. He pulls a chair from behind you up to where it's in front of you. "Do you recognize me?"
You bite your tongue and shake your head. How daft would it be to say 'no but your aura is familiar'?
"Think of your past prime ministers."
Your head fills with images of Harold Saxon and you freeze. He cant be here. He cant. He died. So why is this bastard sitting here right in front of you?
"Now you recognize me. So you know what I'm capable of." You nod to your best ability, not trusting your voice right now. The Master was someone that the Doctor warned you about. You dont remember much from the day of the 'tochlafane' due to some slight amnesia, but from what the Doctor told you, hes highly dangerous.
You suddenly feel some foreign substance enter your body and look down, seeing the Master attached something to the needle. It burns in your veins and feels like fire is dancing around. You quickly feel it fill your body until suddenly you feel completely numb.
"Let's start easy first," he stands and walks around you, pocketing his syringe. "What is your name?"
You want so bad to tell him to fuck off. You want to tell him it's none of his business. You want to say that he should already know if he kidnapped you.
But instead, you say, "(Y/N). (Y/N) (L/N)." You tense in shock and he just smirks at you.
"Truth serum. You'll tell me everything I ask of you," he sits in the dingy metal chair again, making it slide back slightly. "Do you travel with the Doctor?"
"Yes."
"Where did you two go last?"
"The planet Henthe in the year four thousand and twenty-three."
"Why do you travel with him?"
You bite down on your tongue, willing yourself not to answer. Your heart is racing hard as the truth serum is trying to force you to speak. Your whole body trembles but you stand your ground until you suddenly feel a distracting pain in your temple.
"He's amazing and I love the adventures. I love travelling with him and running into the face of danger. I love the beauty of everything he shows me. I love the exhilaration I get from running from dangerous creatures," you can't stop yourself now. Your heart is slowing back to normal now that you've answered and you couldn't be more grateful for that.
You watch a guard slip in the room. You choose not to ask what he's doing in here anyways, possibly hoping that he isn't bad like the Master.
"Interesting. What's the Doctor's weakness?"
"You know the Doctor. Sometimes I think he doesn't have a weakness. Other times-" You bite your tongue again and glare at the Master. Doctor, please save me. The Master grabs your arm again, roughly this time, as he searches his pocket for another syringe. He injects the flaming red liquid into you again, making you scream in pain.
This time, the flame coursing your veins was different. It burned hotter, brighter. You can't help but to scream, screwing your eyes shut tight. You clench your fists, your nails digging into your palms hard enough to draw blood but it doesn't register. To you, that pain would be much more preferable over the flame licking your entire body.
You let out shallow breaths when the burning pain dissipates and open your eyes. You see blood coming out of your right hand but ignore it to glare at the Master.
"If you want to go through that again, I have all the time in the world," the Master practicaly snarls, an annoyed look crossing over his face. "I wonder how much truth serum it takes to kill a human?" He chuckles. "Nevermind that. Does he love you? The Doctor, does he?"
"No. He's a Time Lord, like yourself. He cant love a human like me," you flinch at how quickly you answered. There's a lot more of the serum running through you so it shouldn't be much of a surprise.
"Does the little human have a crush on the big bad Time Lord?"
You bite down hard on your tongue. You cant answer that question. You dont want to.
"Remember I'll torture you if you do not answer me," the Master growls, an evil look crossing his features again.
You feel tears falling from your eyes and a sob wracks your body. "Yes. Yes I love him. I love the Doctor," you can't stop the sobs that escape you. You just want to be in the Doctor's embrace right now more than anything.
The Master laughs. He sounds amused and like he is belittling you. "He could never love you."
"I know," You whisper. The guard behind the Master suddenly walks over to us and places a hand on his shoulder.
"The Doctor has been spotted in Wessex," The guard states, his voice null of emotion.
"You stay here," The Master barks at you, leaving the room nonchalantly. The guard keeps his eye on the Master until hes out of sight and then smiles a bit at you, making you flinch. He gets down beside you and starts undoing your restraints.
"W-What-"
"Dont ask questions," The guard demands, making you shut up.
He continues to untie you and then tries to hug you but you push him away.
"Keep your hands off me. I appreciate you freeing me, but I cant trust someone who works for that asshole. Now either you tie me back up or you let me leave and tell me exactly where the Doctor was spotted," You look around the room now that you can move and see a knife in the back.
"I dont work for him-" the guard takes another step towards you and you run over to the knife and pick it up, pointing it towards him. "What are you doing?"
"Arming myself?" It comes out as a question although it shouldn't have.
"For wh- oh," he chuckles, "sorry sometimes I forget to take this thing off," He suddenly pulls off his face, making you jump back in fright until you see the stormy grey-blue eyes of the Doctor and his fluffy grey curls.
"Doctor? Hold on wait no, this cant be right. It cant be you. You tried to hug me. If that's another face mask thing it's not fooling me this time. A-And your voice. Totally different from my Doctor's."
"Its me," His voice now sounds exactly like himself... you feel tears come to your eyes as you hear his voice but you don't take a step forward. "If it helps, before we went to Henthe, we went to Agfrole, or planet of the weird frogs as you call it."
You drop the knife you armed yourself with and walk over to him warily. You wrap your arms around him immediately though once you inspected him a bit more. "My Doctor."
He awkwardly wraps his arms around you and snaps his fingers, making you grin when you see the gorgeous blue of the TARDIS in the corner of the room.
"How'd you do that?" You ask.
"I made her invisible," the Doctor explains simply, "now quick. Into the TARDIS."
You comply and practically run in, the Doctor following on your tail. He shuts the doors quickly and before long, he's launching the two of you somewhere else. You smile at the familiar sound of the TARDIS.
"Did you mean what you said?" The Doctor suddenly asks, looking up at you with curiosity in his ancient eyes.
"W-What?"
"You love me?"
You freeze and realize the serum is still in your system so you can't hold it back. "Yes. I do."
"And you think that just because I'm a Time Lord, I cant love you back?" He asks, head tilted a little.
"Well yeah. That's kind of obvious, right? You're like... immortal. I'm not. I live maybe ninety years and then I'm gone. I don't regenerate," you sigh. "Look. If you're just going to send me home because of my feelings, go ahead and do it. Don't make me spill my heart out to you."
He walks over to you, his eyebrows scrunched in confusion. "Send you home? Now why would I do a stupid thing like that?" You open your mouth to answer and he places a hand over your mouth, a small smile on his face. "That was rhetorical. Don't answer it." You nod and he places his hand down near your waist, causing you to blush. "I do have feelings for you, (Y/N). Has that not been obvious?"
"Sometimes I think you do. But other times I think I'm not important to you," you respond, looking down at your feet.
He tilts your face up to look up at him and he smiles at you. This smile you've never seen. It isn't cruel like you expected. It isn't sarcastic. It isn't because he is boasting about how incredibly intelligent he is. No, this is love. He leans in close, both hands on your waist now, but he stops half way. You feel his breath fan over your face and blush a little. You stand on your tiptoes and press your lips to his, your hands resting on the nape of his neck to pull him closer.
The kiss was like fire, but instead of the blaze you still feel in your veins, this is welcomed. It's like being at a bonfire with the people you care about the most. You taste the tea and jelly babies he had eaten recently against his lips. Your lips part and he slips his tongue in your mouth a little before pulling away.
"Do you want to know what I feel for you?" He asks quietly as he rests his forehead on yours.
"Please..." you whisper. He lets out a nervous chuckle and gives you a lopsided grin.
"Keep your mind open for me." He brings his warm fingers up to your temples and hovers over them for a moment before pressing them against your skin.
You close your eyes as you feel the raw emotions. Happiness, trust, enjoyment, worry, and pure unadulterated love. Love so strong that it nearly knocks you back.
You smile and remember something Vastra did when the Doctor first regenerated into this man in front of you. You hope that although you're a smaller species than the Silurians, maybe you can reflect your feelings into him as well while this link is formed.
You smile a little as you try to push your feelings to him and hear a slight change in his breathing. Is he feeling it? Does he know just how much you love him? His fingers leave your temple and you can no longer feel his presence in your mind. You open your eyes and see him looking at you in confusion.
"How did you do that?" He asks, looking directly into your eyes.
"Well um... when you first regenerated, you wouldn't sleep. Vastra asked you to put the image of perfect sleep into her head and she somehow reflected it onto you. I know I'm not anything special. I'm a boring old human. But I had to see if I could do it. I wanted you to know how much I love you too," you smile, taking his hand in yours. Your smile falters a little though, "was... was it okay for me to do that?"
"Of course. It just surprised me, love." Your heart flutters a little at the nickname and you smile. "Now, Paris! 1813. What do you say?"
"I say... allons-y!" You grin and wink, hearing him groan a little at that.

Prompt: After convincing you to return to the TARDIS with him, the Doctor is concerned you won’t love him anymore because of his age, or worse, you won’t find him attractive anymore – you set to prove him wrong.
Notes: Going to try and do a small fic every week and a big fic every two to three weeks to get back on track….but 12 has taken over my life so it might mostly be him. Soz not soz. Also, this is part two of a series….that I haven’t uploaded part one of yet because that’ll be the big fic. Never know, might have to do it in reverse and in completely the wrong order, just like how I picture the Doctor travels. Good luck making any sense of it.
Also, there is a bit of a mention of something I’m going to bring up in next week’s fic. I’m not going to explain or tag it now, but I will next fic and then change the tags next week so I don’t spoil anything….except I’m spoiling something now as I type so….yeah okay ignore me and just enjoy!
Buy Me a Coffee
Lines
How he had managed to convince you to return to the TARDIS was beyond you, but Madame Vastra had discreetly informed you that if anything did go wrong, you always had a home here. Grateful, you simply smiled and said that you hoped that you wouldn’t be moving in any time soon. She gave you a rare smile as she agreed before sending you on your way.
Leaving Clara in Glasgow as you rushed off to get coffee, you noticed that the Doctor was acting different, stranger. Almost anxious. He also tried to distract you from this by taking the scenic route to where he claimed the best coffee shop was in the galaxy. By scenic route, you mean small adventures where, yes, you almost died, but that’s the addiction that is travelling with the Doctor.
Finally, when you had a quiet moment, you moved out to the control room to find the Doctor quietly strumming at his guitar. “I didn’t know you played.” You offer as a greeting.
“Neither did I.” He smiles back. You look at him, the eyebrows were definitely compensating for the lack of eyebrows the Doctor had during the latter half of his previous regeneration. The hair seemed to be getting better with each regeneration since Ears, and the accent was new and different, which kind of excited you at the same time as tore at your heart as each time, you remembered Amelia Pond, the Girl Who Waited. And the eyes, wise and striking, they captivated you every time you saw them. And his face.
You would admit that it had been a long time since you had been around an older version of the Doctor, but you didn’t mind. You still thought him handsome.
“Couldn’t sleep?” His voice breaks you from your thoughts.
“No, still burning off the adrenaline I think.” You go to start fiddling with the controls, his eyes following you closely. “What about you?”
“I don’t need sleep.”
“We need exactly the same amount of sleep, you just choose to run yourself ragged.” He barely hums a retort. “Doctor, are you okay?” He looks over at you, confused. “You are acting really strangely.”
“Regeneration sickness.” He shrugs it off.
“No, you’ve passed that and you know it.” You raise an eyebrow at his deflection.
“Then it’s just this face then.” He starts to avoid looking at your face in a very non-discreet way.
“Doctor.” You state firmly. “I have known you for long enough to know when you are anxious, you give off the same energy. What’s wrong?” Silence rings between you. “All I ask is for you to be honest. Otherwise I’m gone, we agreed to that.” You pause, waiting for an answer before standing up. “I’ll leave you to it then.” You stand and go to return to your bedroom before he speaks up.
“I don’t like hugs.” You turn at him confused. “I’m not sure I even like holding hands. I’m new, I’m not sure yet.”
“I know you don’t like hugs, that’s why I haven’t hugged you yet?” Your statement comes out as a question.
“I want to hug you.” He seems to struggle for words.
“Then hug me.” You can’t seem to see why he was struggling.
“I can’t. It’ll hurt more when you leave.” Your brows knit together as you pull your lips in in confusion.
“Are you planning on leaving me somewhere again? Or kicking me out? Or lying to me, or hurting me?” He shakes his head as the guitar is put down. “Then why would I leave?”
“Look at me!” The anger in his voice seems to rupture out of nowhere, and his eyes seemed to be fuelled with fear and fury mashed together to form an extreme clash of emotions.
“I am looking at you.” You offer quietly. “You say look at me as if you are a monster when I just see a man.”
“An old man.” He argues back. “Why would you want to stay with me? I’m old and grouchy. That ruler from whatever thought I was your grandfather! How could you stay with someone, how could you even consider loving someone that everyone thinks is your grandfather?” You move up to hold his hand as he continues to rage, gripping tightly as he tries to pull away.
“I have been with you from the beginning,” you finally interrupt, “and I plan to be there at the end. I don’t care what other people think, I love you for you.”
“You won’t even wear your wedding ring.” He points out as if that is proof that he disgusts you.
“I don’t wear it because you left me stranded in Victorian London for five years. That’s a long time to stay stranded in one place.” You gently grab his other hand and start pulling at it to make him face you. “Doctor. No matter what you look like, you are still my Doctor.”
“I’m old.” He all but whines.
“I’m old too, the only difference is that I wear it better.” He grunts and raises an attack-eyebrow as he so proudly calls them. “Doctor, you could be with someone who changes faces with every regeneration. You are stuck with me, at least for the time being. Would you leave me for that?” He looks at you offended.
“Of course not!”
“Then why would I leave you because you have a few more lines on your face? Why would I leave you because after your last faces being so young you are now a bit more mature? Well, at least look it.” He lets out a quiet laugh. “I love you for you, I’m not leaving you for something so small. I have loved every single one of you, young and old, and that’s not going to change any time soon. You already had to fight to convince me to come back. Why are you worried now?” He opens his mouth to argue, so you pull him down and force him into a kiss; which, after a second of shock, he returns happily. “Proof enough?”
“I might need reminding in a hour or so.” You smack his arm lightly.
“Cheeky.” You kiss him again softly. “Five years, eleven months, three days and six hours.”
“Hmm?”
“Since I last kissed you, not including the last one.” He pulls you into a hug. “Thought you hated hugs.”
“Thought I told you I wouldn’t mind if it was with you.” He retorts, holding on tighter as if he was scared you’d fade away into nothingness.
“We should probably go get coffee and go back to Clara.”
“In a minute.” He pulls back. “I haven’t seen you in five years, six months and twelve days. We have a time machine, and all of time and space to reconnect.” He suddenly yawns.
“Mm. We have a time machine, and a giant bed that needs to be used before we can even consider all of time and space.” He sends you a smirk. “To sleep! Rassilon help me if this face is a pervert.”
“All of my faces are perverts, they were just better at hiding it.” You roll your eyes as he kisses you again, a little bit harder than before, as if he needed confirmation that you were still here. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too. Now, I need a new name for you. Lines or Scottish?”
“Don’t you even think about it.”
