Chapter 3
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
Sorry, this took so long to get out! I've gotten busy! My job actually just promoted me and I got my nose pierced.
His lungs were screaming as he ran. Flying was one hell of a risk considering that he didn’t want to rush through the potion in his system. He only had one of each and, even if it was faster, he couldn’t risk it. Tommy needed to get somewhere, anywhere, he could hide and act like he didn’t have a living thing in his stomach. Nausea was swelling up his throat as he ran but Tommy was well aware he wouldn’t actually purge his stomach or anything similar.
The teen could feel the snow under his feet, he could feel the cold sapping through his entire body as he rushed from the city towards a cabin set deep in the snowy tundra. Making a journey completely unprepared was dumb regardless of everything, but doing it into a snow-covered land was even more ignorant but that wasn’t what Tommy cared for.
All he needed to do was run until his head was clear and he reached his destination! Techno was far enough away to be hard to locate which was a good thing, but the worst thing was that he was rough to reach in a bad situation.
Tommy panted as he gave a very sheepish whine, his nausea was getting worse from the combination of stimuli. His feet hurt, his stomach hurt, his lungs hurt, Fuck. Everything hurts! He figured it wasn’t a good sign, considering his ungodly pain tolerance. He just needed to get to that shack in the middle of the forest.
The middle of this fucking huge snow-ridden forest!
He got so caught up in his head, the thoughts of his discomfort and the uneasy pit in his torso, Tommy didn’t know how to feel when, out of nowhere, a heavyweight collided with his back. A squawk left his throat as he tumbled forward, wings flaring in response. He fell into the snow as the thing on his back buried its teeth into the fluff of his cape.
The creature behind him was warm and heavy, a growl building from its throat. He felt fear wash through him for a moment before the weight shifted enough he was able to unclasp the lock around his neck and roll away from the cape. He mourned the loss of its warmth but he was quick to pull a sword from his inventory, ready and completely prepared to shed blood to protect himself.
Tommy’s eyes landed on a medium animal, it was mostly gray and white with a small amount of tan dressing its mussel. The animal’s eyes were narrowed, a red glint resinating in the black of its pupils as his eyes drifted down. A nice deep blue collar sat around its neck as the dog growled once more.
“Liz?” He found himself whispering. The canine’s ears perked up at the word as it left his lips, her eyes shifting from a glare to a gaze of recognition as her tail began to wag away and a small bark left her mussel. She bounded forward, acting like a puppy that hadn’t seen their mother in years.
Despite the cold digging into his body and his knees, Tommy didn’t hesitate to chirp as he opened his arms and eagerly embraced the dog. He smiled as Liz seemed to relish in his contact, barking loudly as she was pet and he scratched behind her ears. Her warmth was welcomed with how freezing his limbs felt from the surroundings.
A pressure hit the side of his stomach, clearly some kind of swing or hit from the man inside Tommy held in a groan as he continued to embrace the animal. It didn’t take a genius to guess what the reason behind the attack was. Dream probably was still angry and confused about the situation going on outside, plus he also had a reason to show his discontent with the teen. A sharp whistle interrupted his situation as Liz’s ears shot up. She jumped off of him, quickly turning to face the source of the sound. Tommy recognized the pitch and knew who had made the high call.
His eyes drifted upwards, a familiar mask slipping into view as he noticed the hulking figure stepping closer. Red eyes slid through the holes in the skull, showing the person behind it. A nice watermelon pink draped over his brother’s shoulders, the braid of hair resting over his right shoulder. Techno was still wearing his signature white dress shirt and black slacks. The jabot around his neck was still ruffled and ironed in the way it always was with the green emerald pendent still just above his clavicle. His red cloak, just like the one normally draped across his own shoulders, still holding the bloody shade of crimson and the white fluff of his collar hugging his neck and meshing well with the golden clasp. His tail swished out to the side, peaking out from under the draping fabric as it slipped through the snow.
“Tommy.”
The piglin’s voice seemed surprised and confused but, ultimately, it was guarded. The blonde wasn’t going to judge him. His brother deserved to feel skceptical and unsure about his presence considering their past relationship and how the avian had treated his older brother. He had betrayed his flock, Techno’s sounder had betrayed him and that was considered unforgivable for a brute. He didn’t deserve any forgiveness or anything of that related sort but he still cared for his brother and the hybrid deserved to be aware of what he was doing.
“Hey… It’s... It’s nice to see you Technoblade.” He told his older brother, the look of hesitance steeling as the brute lifted his crossbow. Tommy lifted his hands, trying to show he meant no harm. Liz glanced back and forth between the two of them, the confusion visible in her little face. She seemed drawn to the tension between the two of them, tempted to join her human and grow defensive but also desiring to go love and cuddle with the boy she hadn’t seen in about a year.
“Why are you here, Theseus.” The tone in his voice as it passed by his brother’s tusks left no room for argument or even an attempt to lie through his teeth. Tommy simply sighed as he looked up, he got up, picked up his sword, and put it in his inventory, before holding his hands up with a small anxious smile.
“I know as of right now, it looks like I just need help. I do, but that's not the main reason I’m here.” He told him as he looked up at his older brother. Tommy could feel his nerves flooding his body and causing a slight tremble in his lip as he fought the instinctual desire to cling to his flock and beg forgiveness. He was bound to eventually but, he couldn’t give in until he was completely sure that everything was understood. Techno had a look in his eyes, one that said he was curious and unsure of what he wanted or even needed to know.
The small tilt of his brother’s head was enough to tell him to keep going, so he listened.
“Dream.. It involves Dream. Since you already paid back what you owed to him, and I promise I’m not here to cause trouble! I figured you were the only person I could go to about this…” He explained kind of periodically. He also brought his hands close, despite the desire to talk with his hands he made sure to keep them in sight and where they wouldn’t be seen as a threat or anywhere near that.
“And what makes you think I’d help you with anything involving that homeless prick.” The brute specified as he looked at his little brother. The older hybrid looked angered as he went ahead and moved forward to do something, what that was Tommy had no idea but he wasn’t gonna just take it.
He could feel his nerves spiking as he gave an anxious noise before speaking once more. “I trapped him!” He said quickly.
Techno seemed to pause at his admission. The piglin paused as he blinked a little, clearly confused and it showed. “Heh?” The man exclaimed as he looked down towards the dog near his side. Liz simply looked back at him, being the same as she ever was, just a confused little dog who seemed happy to be around two of her favorite people. His older brother gave a sigh before he simply lifted up his crossbow and reached a hand out.
“We can talk about this at my cabin. You’ve got no shoes on, Theseus.” Tommy found himself blinking at that, he felt confused but he looked down and, just like Techno said, he’d forgotten his shoes in his rush to get someone else. The hybrid let out a chirp, his gaze drifting back up as he watched his older brother.
promise.
The brute chuffed in response and the avian’s instincts took that as confirmation that they would be talking this out. Techno didn’t hesitate to pick up the cape in the snow, holding it out towards the blonde without a second thought.
Tommy took it after just a second as he made sure to adjust how he stood and tried to keep his feet close to eachother. Liz didn’t hesitate to move forwards and wind her way between his legs and forcing them to have a more reasonable distance.
He began to fall in step behind the brute, watching his brother’s back as the cape over his shoulder’s moved in motion with his body and his tail. If the avian was honest, he wanted to just cling to his older brother due to how badly his instincts screamed. Tommy straight up had someone he wanted to hide from inside of his fucking body. His mind was pissed at him for being so chill about having his abuser inside of his stomach, his instincts were also torn, still feeding off the imprint he’d formed throughout exile.
No one knew about it.
Not Techno. Not Dream. Not even Phil.
<em>Not a single person was going to know.</em>
He brought his hands to his chest, fighting with his flock desire to hold onto Techno.
They’d been walking for about five minutes before the piglin gave a sigh, sounding exasperated as they both came to a stop. “Come here, kid.” Techno said without much room for argument. Tommy felt confused, looking at his older brother as he stepped closer.
The moment Tommy was within arm’s length, his older brother pushed his crossbow into his inventory before his arms moved and…
Scooped him up.
A startled chirp left the avian as he was picked up. He was not used to being treated like a small child, considering he hadn’t really been around his older brother. Tommy was very used to being treated as younger than he was, it was the reason he held such a defensive response when being called a child or something similar. Despite how much he wanted to yell and hit as he was picked up, he didn’t have the energy.
“Put me down, Techno..” He whispered as he was held. Liz looked up at him, tail wagged faster as she perked up. it almost seemed as if the canine thought they were playing around. His brother simply shook his head as he spoke.
“You’re walking barefoot in the snow. I should have done this sooner. Calm down, Theseus.”
Tommy couldn’t argue with that.
____
Dream could feel everything around him shift. The walls against his back and knees were warm, in an uncomfortable way, and slick. It stuck to him every time he had to move his body. The hybrid couldn’t believe where he was sitting right now, a part of him was preening at the probabilities and possibilities this could open up for kinds of torture and manipulation. The other half was screaming at how unnatural this was!
He held back the desire to scream and yell until he got Tommy to submit. He wanted out of the teenager! He didn’t want to be stuck in some stupid bird’s stomach or even close to this environment. The sound of his own heart pounding in his ears was drowned out by the teen’s heart among the sounds of his stomach and the wooshing of his every breath.
His surroundings were moving without breath, clearly Tommy was being active with the amount of acids that pooled around his hips. “When I get out of here, I’m gonna fucking kill you!” He barked out, his ears twitching as acid dripped down from the fundus above him. Dream moved his hands to the sides, pushing them into the rugae in order to ground himself.
He shifted his weight, moving onto his lower back as he braced himself with one leg. The sheep hybrid was panting as he reared back a leg, quick to try and kick the wall in front of him. It didn’t come to fruition as he was thrown around, hearing a grunt come from above. A smirk spread across Dream’s face, a sick satisfaction growing in his gut at the teen’s pain.
“Suck it.” He muttered to himself.
____
Tommy could still feel Dream kicking and pushing around inside his abdomen. It was causing more nausea to grow, more than he’d like to admit, but the good thing was that he was at least close to having this all taken care of. He knew the pots were still working in his system, able to feel it under his skin, but he had a feeling it wouldn’t be lasting much longer.
The arms that were wrapped around his body were nice. Techno hadn’t held Tommy on his back, which should have been expected, instead literally holding him in a bridal carry. It wasn’t uncomfortable.
Not in the slightest.
The brute was warm in comparison to the freezing cold of the snowing biome around them. Piglin’s were naturally warmer than humans because they lived in the nether, so it made sense for hybrids to have a higher temperature as well. Tommy wasn’t going to complain regardless.
Once they got to the cabin, he felt tired. So much had been going on today, a mix of mental and physical stress that really caused him to feel this exhausted. He had a feeling he’d be sent home tomorrow. No matter how mad his older brother got, Techno was not the monster everyone assumed he was. The hybrid wouldn’t force him out into the snow without shoes or proper clothes.
“Technoblade?” Tommy mumbled, looking up at his brother. Liv had rushed to the porch, eagerly waiting outside the door as her tail thumped loudly against the wood boards below her. His brother hummed, the sound rumbling in his chest as he showed his attention.
“Why?” He asked as his brother set him down. He watched as the boar pushed his hand into his pocket, pulling out a key with a swift motion.
“Let’s talk inside.” He said simply. Tommy found his eyes drifting up towards the mask. He locked his gaze with the man as he gave a small sigh. He probably should get inside before the hybrid changed his mind.
As the door closed and the lights were switched on, Liz barked as she ran towards where the other dogs were curled up. A handful of the ones Techno had left were all over the living room. He couldn’t help but smile as he took a step towards them before a hand was placed on his shoulder, leading him towards the kitchen instead.
His nerves were screaming as he stepped towards the area. His stomach shifted with his nerves, the organ squeezing around the small form that sat inside. He couldn’t help but hug his abdomen, feeling self-conscious of the lump that sat under his shirt. It was pretty impalpable, the smallest of bumps settled just under his rib cage where his stomach sat. He gave a wince, feeling bloated despite the fact he was well aware he wasn’t.
Tommy stepped towards the counter, instinctively plopping himself onto the cold tile. It had been a pretty common occurrence back when the avian had been living with his older brother. Their dad had explained it as a desire to be in high places, something all bird hybrids were wired to enjoy. The teen found it strange, it wasn’t like sitting here made much of a difference for height but he liked it. Though… this did get him thinking.
“Where’s Phil?” He asked, keeping his arms around his belly in order to feel a sense of privacy. He couldn’t help feeling exposed since he was well aware Techno was far more perspective than others on the server.
The brute seemed to sigh at the question, it was almost as if Tommy wasn’t the first to ask it. Techno simply walked towards the oven, placing a pot on the burner and turning it on. The blonde watched his older brother get out some cocoa, milk, and sugar before beginning to combine them in the pot. “Dad is on vacation. He’s had enough of the cold.”
That… actually made sense. The only reason his brother enjoyed the Arctic was because it helped him regulate his hibernation and keep a proper internal clock. It was weird to think such a cold environment would help a nether hybrid live an easier life. Either way, Tommy was glad Techno had a way to live comfortably. His brother deserved it after… everything.
“Either way, we’re not going to ignore what you said in the forest.” The older man said simply as he began to stir the concoction he’d started to make. Tommy knew it wasn’t going to be avoided but he didn’t know how to word it. It would be pretty weird to just blurt what he did out loud but, he didn’t see any other options. It was gonna have to be told sooner or later.
“I don’t know how to say it Tech, it’s… weird.” Tommy found himself mumbling as he looked towards his feet, kicking them slightly. He didn’t know how to continue, but Tehno’s next action surprised him. A hand settled on his knee, giving him a reassuring squeeze before a mug was pushed into his hands, warming the frostbitten fingers. The avian took notice of the blood pooling around his nail beds, which explained why his hands were hurting. Tommy knew he had a bad habit of ripping them from his fingers, it used to be nail-biting in Logshire and it had developed into something worse.
“That’s okay, I’ll listen regardless.” The piglin said as he took Tommy’s free hand and began to look over his fingers. The blonde was well aware his brother wasn’t happy with what he saw, but he also knew Techno would’t judge him for the bad habit.
He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath as he let his eyes shift from the mug to the red ones in front of him. He was unsure how his brother would answer but… he no longer had any excuses to avoid the topic.
“I ate Dream.”

Spiderweb
Here I come with another fic :D (A bit short tho)
Hope you enjoy :]
tw: Safe/soft vore, fearplay, fear of dying, death mention
"It's not my fault, you know!?" said a fly hybrid as he flew really fast with his friend. “Yeah, yeah, shut up and keep flying! The stupid bird is about to catch up with us! I don't want to end up being bird food!” said the other.
They were both hovering around the forest they were in, trying to lose sight of the bird that was chasing them.
"Is it still behind us?!" “Yeah, it looks like it's not going to get tired anytime soon! We have to find a place to take shelter!” he answers back, flying faster.
The black-haired man let out a sigh. "I don't think I'm going to make it… My wings hurt…" The other looks at him with concern. “What nonsense are you talking about Sapnap?! Of course you're going to make it! I'm not going to let you die, much less at the hands of a stupid bird!"
Dream quickly approaches his friend and grabs his arm, dragging him along at the same speed. He quickly scanned the surroundings as they flew, his eyes fixing on a hole.
"There! There we can hide from the bird and you can rest your wings!” Sapnap nods as Dream continues to drag him. They quickly head into the hole, when Sapnap's eyes widen in fear. "Wait! Dream stop!” Dream was going to ask him what was wrong, when his eyes also widened in fear and he tried to brake suddenly.
Both hybrids collided with a spider web. “S-Shit…! How could I not see it?!” he yelled trying to get away from it, but it was impossible. The black-haired man next to him sighed deeply.
"Now we are going to die..." Dream looked at him sadly. "Nonono... We'll get out of this Sap-" "No Dream... Not this time..." he interrupted him. He went to try to convince him when a ‘loud’ laugh echoed around them.
“Well, well, well, what do we have here…?” said a voice. Dream and Sapnap looked up, both wide-eyed in terror. "Apparently two small snacks got trapped on my web, huh?"
The voice continued, which turned out to be the voice of a spider hybrid. "Let us go!" Dream yelled at him, being a hybrid, they might have a chance to make it out alive. Or so he thought until the spider spoke again.
"And why should I? You two look really delicious.” He responds with a smirk as he reaches for Sapnap, pulling him out of the web. The raven only squirms in the grip of the larger hybrid.
“Sapnap! Let him go!" Dream yelled, watching helplessly from the web. The spider just looked at him with a smirk, putting the hybrid in his hold, inside his mouth, closing it with an audible click of his teeth.
It wasn't long before the spider swallowed, sending the hybrid down his throat. “SAPNAP!” Dream watched in horror as the bulge, which was Sapnap, made its way down the larger hybrid's throat until it disappeared below the collarbone.
He licked his lips, now looking at the green fly, pulling him out of the web and bringing him closer to his lips. Dream squirmed as hard as he could, but that didn't stop the spider from shoving him into his mouth.
Immediately the tongue began to lick him,covering him in saliva. Dream tried to move away from the muscle in vain. Soon the spider got tired and pushed him to the back of his mouth,swallowing him without any effort.
Dream wriggled his way down until he entered a more open space. He looked around for a moment though he could barely see, someone hugging him from behind. Sapnap.
"Sapnap..." he said softly, looking at the Raven and hugging him back. "I’m sorry..." They both sat up, leaning against the spider’s stomach wall, as Sapnap let out a sob.
He wasn't the type of person who would show his feelings like that, but they were about to die so he really didn't care at that moment.
Meanwhile, the spider just rolled his eyes, they were crying for nothing. They would soon find out about it. So he closed his eyes and with a hand over them, he fell asleep.

I don't post art too often but here I go!! :D
Based on a fic idea I've had for the longest time; "Dream is an emotion-based sizeshifter who shifts larger when angry/scared and smaller when exhilarated/content but keeps that part a secret. Punz is the only one who knows, only one who can see Dreams face, only one who's keen on making Dream feel loved and content."
So basically shameless Drunz content but left somewhat vague! Inspired by the lovely artists that bless my everyday Tumblr feed! 💜
Tumblr media
For anyone who likes audio w these, this is about what Dream can hear: https://youtu.be/kRwVQCDVwp0 (best with headphones)
(am NOT a human artist sksksksk can you tell yet??? The stomachs so much fun tho, up there with the most fun things to draw!)

〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
"George! Sapnap! Come over here." A blond shouted from outside their small makeshift home, two brunettes peeked outsidr gasping once they saw; a rabbit was laying beside the borrower with a weirdly large sharp object. "YO, YOU HUNTED WITHOUT US!?" Sapnap whined as he ran next to the blond. "Unfair dude." Dream laughed at his antics and motioned over for the two boys to help him prepare to cook it.
"How'd you stab it with this." George gestured to the item used to impale the poor animal, "It's probably quite heavy." Dream chuckled and responded quite quickly, "I used it to make a trap." George accepted the reason and continued to help the other borrowers drag the rabbit to their cooking area. The fire was controlled and calm. It danced across the circle it was built around; the item that once stabbed the rabbit was long gone and thrown aside.
Dream and Sapnap were tending to the fire whilst George grabbed the rabbits fur and placed it in their home for his crafts, Dream sighed in content as he looked at the perfectly cooked rabbit. Sapnap stood beside him, splashing the fire below; making it die down. George walked over, placing down a bucket of water.
Sapnap reached out his hand to grab a peice of the rabbit meat, "Sapnap wash your hands first!" George demanded pointing at the pail. Sapnap groaned and knelt down to wash his dirt covered hand, dirt and grime were washed away in the swirling clear liquid; his doused hand flicked away droplets of water on the ground. Dream laughed as the next thing he saw was the black-haired male lunged towards the cooked rabbit.
George chuckled at the way Dream's shoulders shook as he laughed, The two other borrowers walked over to grab a share of the rabbit for themselves aswell. The three males chatted around; having fun as they slowly consumed the rabbit.
It was now early night when they finished cleaning up the remains of the mammal and headed inside their small home, they made use of what they could it was fairly furnished and the boys were delighted that they atleast had their own sleeping quarters. They made their way's into their seperate room's.
George instantly wobbled over to his bed and flopped down, slowly drooping his eyes as he was enveloped into the duvets; Sapnap was simply laying on his bed unable to sleep whilst Dream was preparing the items he needed for the berry hunt with Sapnap the following morning.
***
"Sapnap!" Dream pounded at the brunette's door. Faint snores were heard from behind the door; Groaning, Dream went over to the kitchen area to prepare breakfast for the two sleeping boys. It wasn't much, but he was able to prepare some mushroom soup with fresh orange juice.
Sapnap stumbled into the room obviously still tired, "Finally you're awake." Dream acknowledged as he handed the shorter a bowl of mushroom stew and a cup of orange juice. "Just give me a bit, and we can go berry hunting." Sapnap yawned as he slurped up his meal. "Dude, I've been waiting for so long. It's also quite a long walk. You better not make me carry you."; Sapnap huffed and wordlessly walked to his room to change. Dream grabbed his backpack and axe, heading over to the door, leaning beside it.
Dream hummed to himself; tapping lightly at the wall he was leaning on, patiently waiting for the brunette to finish getting ready. Sapnap exited his room; sword in hand. "Let's get going, dude." Dream gestured for Sapnap to follow him, and they made their way to the edge of the forest.
"Dream, you brought the bag, right?" The brunette asked the taller, "Yea, it's with me."; Sapnap nodded, pleased with the reply as they trekked across the towering forest. Light conversations were made to pass by the time, followed by some light jokes. Sapnap whined in complaint as his legs felt the weight of having to walk for so long. "We're close, Sap."
Suddenly, booming footsteps rang around the borrower's eardrums; hiding for safety as two humans walked over to the area, Sapnap was about to speak, but Dream slapped a hand on the brunette's mouth. The humans above them; unbeknownst to the borrowers hiding under a rocky area, started blabbering.
"Hey man, did you hear the government is hosting a contest for borrowers to have an equal living in this world." One of the snobby males spoke, "Ugh- the mayor's daughter feels sympathy for those pests," the other retorted. "But hey? I heard if you entered a borrower and they won, you'd get a cash prize!", "Can you believe how much people are paying to get a strong and live borrower now?"
The two humans walked away laughing, Sapnap noticed the blond's hand still attached to his mouth. The brunette licked the others hand, receiving a scolding. "Dude!? Ew." Dream shook his hand in an attempt to shake away the bits of saliva. "Cmon, they're gone. Let's get the berries and dip."; the shorter announced as he ran over to the berry bushes.
Dream took a simple risk and climbed on top of a shrub to reach the grapes, whilst Sapnap collected barberries. The two silently did their task until Sapnap broke the silence, "Uhm Dream?"; the blond hummed in acknowledgment yet continued to collect grapes. "Earlier, the human's said there's a competition for us borrowers to have an equal living?".
"Yea? What about it." Dream now switched his attention fully to the brunette, Sapnap continued."I was wondering if we should join?"; Dream furrowed his eyebrows. "Sapnap," a sigh came out of the blond's throat. "That's too risky. We can't possibly know what happens if we lose. And it's likely gonna be a public competition, too many people in one area, anything can happen..." Dream reasoned.
"I was just thinking since- since it's kinda getting tiring fighting for survival..." Sapnap replied with a downcast tone. The taller came down the shrub he was previously on and walked over to the brunette, "Don't worry, Sap, We'll be fine,".
"I promise."
They finished collecting the berries soon enough and trudged across the forest oncemore to reach their home. "Dude, I loath being so small! These barberries are so heavy!" "Yea, I'm with you there. Grapes aren't lighter." They chuckled and brushed off the weight of the berries and continued their walk home. Sapnap noticed the shift in the blond's stance as he actively turned his gaze, cautiously watching the area.
"You okay, man?" Dream's head snapped to look at the brunette walking beside him, "Yea- yea... Just being cautious." Sapnap snickered, "Loosen up, dude. we haven't seen humans go this far in the forest for a while." The taller nodded. "Okay- okay, I might be a bit too on edge."
***
Once they reached their home, they were instantly tackled by George, "You guys took so long! I was starting to get worried!" George blurted out. "Aww! So Gogy does care about us!" Sapnap sneered. Dream wheezed as his two friends continued their antics. "Anyways, George, I got your fav; grape's~", George pounced up and rummaged through the bags the two males brought back, releasing a victory noise once he got ahold of the berry.
"Anyways, it's getting late. We should get these inside." Sapnap and Dream agreed, dragging the bags inside. And then played a chaotic peaceful dinner. George and Sapnap were rambling about something while Dream sat quietly in thought.
"I'm gonna head to bed." Sapnap and George looked at each other questionably yet shrugged and let the taller sleep.
Dream sighed, sitting on his bed, his head ached with how many horrible outcomes spiraled. He gently layed down; his eyes fell closed as he drifted off to a dreamless sleep.
***
A shriek made Dream jump up from his bed; axe in hand, the dirty blond sprinted out. Sapnap was screaming in panic as George was nowhere in sight. Suddenly, a horrendously hoarse laugh made Dream realize what was happening. "LET HIM GO YOU PRICK!"
A human.
More specifically, a human hunter who is currently holding George in a fist. George squirmed in the man's grip as the man reached down to grab Sapnap. "SAP!" Dream screamed. Before he could do anything else, he was grabbed aswell and they were all stuffed into the man's bag. They all could faintly hear the hunter above them speak, "You guys can put up a fight, I'm gonna be rich with yall."
"Oh, prime- this can't be real." Sapnap panicked, George stirred quietly, panic clear in his face. "Calm down- we'll be fine." Dream reassured the two other males. "We'll be fine, don't worry." Sapnap scoffed but said nothing else. Arguing wouldn't help their situation. They felt the man start walking as the bag they were in lightly bounced.
The trio held each other close, keeping each other calm and collected it felt it were hours in the dark bag. Sapnap and George fell asleep a while ago, Dream stayed awake, call in paranoia, yet there was a weird unknown feeling crawling around his neck. The blond knew the 'easiest' way to get out of their current situation, but he had to find other more reasonable options.
Dream nervously sat there in silence, muffled voices taunting him from outside, humans, they were probably at a village. The two brunette's stirred in their slumber. Suddenly, the bag swayed dangerously, and they were all dumped into a wood seeming table.
White filled their vision, blinding them as the light shifted. Dream was the first to adjust to the shift and could now hear the conversation of the two humans above him. "I'd like to enter these three in the contest." The hunter who caught them spoke as the woman on the other side hummed and they continued the conversation while Dream ran over to Sapnap and George who held their head in pain from making contact with the table so roughly.
With labored breath's Dream grit his teeth and stood up to stare at the hunter, "What are you planning to do to us?!" The woman behind them chuckled, "You got a fiesty one ay?" The blond knitted his brow in anger as the hunter laughed. "Yeah, I have a feeling I'll be rich and these pest's can put up a fight, dying is definitely not on their to-do list,"
The borrower trio looked up the two humans in worry, "Anyways, I'll be heading home, I'll definitely see you at the competition." Then the tinies were violently shoved back into the pouch. Dream radiated pure hatred as he pulled his hair. Suddenly, Sapnap spoke out of breath. "Dream-" Green eyes snapped towards the two brunettes; Sapnap shook as he lifted George's head. "He's bleeding."
Dream shook as he put pressure onto George's head with a cloth; which was doused in blood. He swallowed the spit that collected in his mouth and turned to look at the other brunette who was soundlessly sleeping.

Dream hadn't got a wink of sleep. He stayed up tending to George, and the lack of air circulation wasn't helping. Sweat had pooled at their foreheads, and Dream felt sickeningly sticky and wet. Sapnap was beginning to wake up and uncomfortably shifted around. Sapnap stomach growled loudly, and he whined. "Dude, is he even gonna feed us? How does he expect us to fight in that contest if we're starving-"
"Surely he will, or at least let's hope."
George had gotten significantly better and woke up a while ago yet immediately fell back asleep due to his weak state. Sapnap and Dream chatted in attempt to dismiss the overwhelming heat inside the damp, hot, bag. They heard shuffling noises from outside and the bag was opened, as light seeped through the opening a hand emerged and grabbed all three of them, placing them in a cage.
"I'm gonna have to feed you guys, ugh-" He tossed a loaf of bread into the cage, locking it before turning to go to a different room. "Uhm atleast there's food?" Dream hesitantly said. Sapnap was inspecting the plain bread while Dream inspected the contents of the cage. The blond scrunched his nose when he saw a water bowl in the cage yet shrugged and walk over to it.
Dream took some of the water and dabbed it across the wound on George's forehead. The brunette groaned as the blond let him down to rest. Sapnap appeared behind Dream, handing him a chunk of the bread. "Here, man, you need to eat as well." Dream gratefully took the chunk and sighed as he slumped. Sapnap was seen huddling up beside Dream, holding a soft cloth he found lying around.
Dream sighed as he started giving into his instincts and slept alongside the two other males.
***
Sapnap groaned as he woke up seeing Dream punching the walls on one side of the cage, "Dream?" The blond had beads of sweat dripping down his face as he stared at Sapnap, "Sapnap! You okay?" Dream worriedly asked. "Yea- yea, I'm fine. What are you doing, tho?"
"I'm uhm-" Dream sputtered for a second, "Training, just in case." Sapnap nodded, not wanting to push further. George was in the corner shallow breaths, leaving his lips. Sapnap's gazed back at the blond who was now doing push ups, Sapnap was genuinely surprised by the blond—seeing him work out was quite almost a rare sight to see considering he would wake up extremely early to exercise on his own.
Sapnap was quite baffled that the blond would be embarrassed of working out, but his efforts definitely showed. Suddenly, the hunter came back, holding what seemed to be a piece of cooked meat in hand. "I got you guys beef. It should be good for protein." Dream shot multiple glares at the hunter; which was dismissed. The hunter placed a cup of water and the cooked beef into the cage, leaving right after.
Dream stared at the plastic cup filled with water, he sighed, noticing the cup was placed at the corner of the cage. He then headed towards George, shaking him. "George, wake up. You need to eat something." The shorter groaned as his eyes peeled open, adjusting to the light. "Is that- beef? Where'd we get beef?"
"Just eat cmon, same goes for you Sap." Sapnap nodded as he struggled trying to pry a piece of meat. successfully, he handed one over to George. At the other end of the cage, Dream was cupping his hands and drinking some of the water, even splashing a bit in his face. Then he walked over, ripping some beef for himself. The wound on George's head was quite healed, which was great.
***
Chattering.
Human's.
Loud.
Everything was so loud...
The cage was swinging back and fourth violently, a cloth covering the cage as the three were being taken to the competition grounds. They were huddling up together, holding each other in a protective and comforting hold. Dream was getting worried, millions of thoughts, possibilities of what could be heading for them made him hold a calculated and focused gazed, yet one stood out all the rest.
Protect George, Protect Sapnap.
The cage finally stopped swinging as they seemed to be placed on a table.cThey were silent, and then a booming voice spoke. "Welcome to the first Borrower Bonanza! This competition will determine if these borrowers-" The cover from the cage was removed as the three borrowers saw other borrowers like them locked in cages aswell, "-are going to have an equal chance of living with us as a society."
Cheers erupted, making some of the other borrower's wince and cover their ears. Sapnap and Dream were scanning the other borrowers in the cages, and George was staring at the announcer. Dream glanced over seeing a borrower, black hair, short frame, decent build. Dream eye'd him, watching him like falcon.
"Dream- dude, relax. We should focus on ourselves. We just need to win, and we're home free..."

Tank
I had an idea like last minute before bed and stayed up way, wayyyy to late to get it all down. Anyway, enjoy!
Dream had been kicked out of his colony
He knew he could be a bit of a prick sometimes, and sometimes he got too lost in the moment and went overboard, but he couldn't help it!
His higher thought would go on the back burner, and he'd just be in the moment.
He knew he deserved to be kicked out, though. It was his fault the kid was dead, after all.
He'd just been teasing the teenager a little bit, and maybe he went to far, kept at it for too many weeks
But one day the kid had just ran off
Next he knew, they were getting news that the teen had been snatched up by one of the humans living in the apartment complex, and that the colony had to move.
Not Dream, though. He was forced to stay, because it was his fault the kid had run off, and his death was on Dream's hands.
The colony didn't want a murderer in their midst, even if it was an unintentional one
Dream could survive just fine on his own, of course, but the loneliness was drowning him in a cesspit of regret and loathing and the longing for any sort of company.
He just wished that he had somebody to talk to.
°°°°°°
So when Tommy hears his human, Wilbur, shout out, 'gotcha,' and a small, terrified scream, you know he's running in the bean's direction
He's not afraid of Wilbur hurting the other borrower
But he doesn't want the new guy to have a heart attack
When he gets to the kitchen, he tells Wilbur to let him say hello
But when he sees who the human's holding, his body shuts down
It's Dream, the man who tormented him for months
The bastard had made Tommy want to die, and eventually the teen had run off and been caught by Wilbur, who was pretty good, for a human
Tommy freaks, and Dream is both terrified of the bean and amazed that Tommy's still alive
But Tommy tells Wilbur that, 'that's the guy that–that messed with my head, I don't, keep him away! Lock him up or something"
So Wilbur puts Dream in a terrarium
Where Tommy convinces Wilbur that Dream's an absolute bastard and would kill them both if he had the chance
So Wilbur grows contemptful of Dream and hates him for what Tommy told him he did
So he kinda sorta neglects the other borrower
So Dream is a little more than starved, and definitely stuck in the tank
And he grows much weaker than he was
It doesn't take long for a borrower to grow weak from starvation
Less than the human standard of three weeks, but more than the mouse standard of two days
About a week, probably
Wilbur still puts food in the tank for him, of course
But sometimes he's away for trips
One such trip he can't bring Tommy with him (he usually does, cause he doesn’t want to leave the teen alone with Dream)
So he leaves him at his apartment
He forgets to leave enough food in the tank for Dream though, in the rush to leave
And his trip will take about two weeks
Sometimes Tommy will come by to gloat and just talk to Dream during this span of time
And he does notice that Dream seems to be getting thinner and weaker
But he doesn't think much of it until the day that he finds Dream slumped on the ground of the tank, against the glass wall, breathing weakly
He asks what's wrong, because despite his hate for the man, he isn't cruel, doesn't want to actually hurt him
So Dream avoids the question by telling the teen that he's sorry for what he did to him
That he didn't mean to go so far, but sometimes he just lost himself in the actions and forgot basic decency, that it was entirely Dream's fault and he doesn't want the teen to think any of it was his own fault
And Tommy asks him why now, why apologize now, you could've done that weeks ago
And Dream tells Tommy that he's going to die, that he only has two, maybe one day left.
And Tommy freaks out, really looking at the man closely
The other borrower is stick thin, and his clothes are so baggy on him they look like they might fall off at any moment
Tommy demands to know what's going on, so Dream wearily tells the teen that he was starving to death. That the human (Wilbur) hadn't left him anything to eat like he usually would before he left on his long trip
With a horrifying realization, Tommy understood
That was five days ago. Dream hadn't eaten in five days. That was practically a death sentence for a borrower, because once you went past that half week mark, you would probably be too weak to scavenge for food.
That's why they lived in colonies, as double insurance to stay alive and could provide help if someone needed it.
He tries to get the older borrower to say anything else, but he had evidently passed out
Panicking, Tommy scaled down the table, across the living room into the kitchen, and up the counter to a spread of non-perishables like crackers that Wilbur left out for him
Grabs one, and makes his way all the way back to the tank. It doesn't take him long to climb into the tank, the lid is open and his hook line makes it easy
He drops down inside, pulling in his hook with him and runs his way over to Dream
He can't let the other borrower die
He just can't, especially when the man’s supposed last words wore an apology to Tommy
Tommy tries to get Dream to eat the cracker chunks he brought, but the man is practically unresponsive
It takes a thin cracker-water mash (he'd had the water in a tiny flask he carried in his bag, some tinfoil mad a bowl) to bring motion to Dream, who's eyes flicker open to land on Tommy, then the cracker-water
He turns his head away, telling Tommy not to bother
But the teen convinces Dream to eat more of it until Dream turns away again, this time telling Tommy that he'll get really sick if he eats anything more
Tommy doesn't like it, cause Dream hardly ate anything, but acquiesces nonetheless
For the rest of the week, until Wilbur comes back, Tommy brings Dream food several times a day
Dream gets better, during this time, but he's still way too thin under his clothes and still can't walk very far
When Wilbur gets back Tommy tells him to let Dream go
He has realized that what he had been doing to Dream (by proxy of Wilbur) was wrong, and that he can't do that to the man anymore
Wilbur, meanwhile, feels awful about forgetting to leave Dream any food before he left and nearly killing him
He does as Tommy says, and lets Dream down next to a wall exit
Dream stumbles through it, and while both borrower and bean are worried about the state of the other borrower when he left, the obvious desire to get away from both of them was plain in Dream’s voice and posture
It's not even four days later that Tommy finds Dream collapsed in one of the many walkways inside of the walls, looking worse than he did when he was let go
He tries to wake the older borrower up, but nothing he does works
Dream looks thin again, too which scares Tommy
Taglist that I forgor:
He drags to taller man out to Wilbur, who immediately tries to wake Dream up as well, no dice
They make a thin broth for the comatose borrower, and Tommy carefully pours a little bit into Dream's mouth (presently aware of what Dream had told him was 'refeeding syndrome,' during the week that Tommy had been bringing him food (a human term) hoping to rejuvenate the man a little
It doesn't, but Wilbur tells him to give Dream a little more in about fifteen minutes, and, "how fast are your metabolism, Tommy?"
Tommy doesn't know, but after about an hour Dream rouses a little bit
He freaks, at first, seeing Tommy and, more importantly, Wilbur again
But they both explain what happened.
Tommy tells Dream that he can't leave until he's back to one hundred percent again, so he won't die, and Wilbur agrees
"You're not—" Dream winces uncertainly, baring his teeth in a fearful grimace. "You're not going to stick me back in the tank, a—are you?"
They don't, and they let Dream recover all of his strength after several months
They bond over that time, and Tommy forgives Dream
Dream loses the majority of his fear of Wilbur, too, along the way, and they grow to be good acquaintances
If Dream ever starts to go to far with anything he says or does, a heavy word or a parting hand from a human—Wilbur—will easily snap Dream back into reality
While the older borrower is a bit reclusive, he hangs out quite a lot with Tommy and, to a lesser extent, Wilbur (even though the human still scares him sometimes).
He was very social, after all, before he got kicked out of his colony

um, how did Tommy meet ranboo in the epic au? Also how is the leaf/growth kingdom going v the decay/mold kingdom? What’s going on with ranboo?
ok, i was gonna just answer this with a normal answer, but here’s a story instead cause I really like how they met and wanted to start up the lore!! So I hope you like it!
tw: fear of death ig
Tommy was tired. He was tired of his shitty dad, his broken kingdom, and his horrible status as their practically bastard prince. He hated it all. He needed an escape, if just for a day. Somewhere where people didn’t freeze when they saw him, refusing to even look at him for fear of potentially angering a member of their royal family. Somewhere away from all the noise and obligation and far, far away from the kingdom he’d grown to hate that he’ll someday be forced to lead.
In retrospect, the Bogs may not have been the best option.
He trudged through the thick mud, tripping up on roots almost every other step, feet plastered with clay and weighing him down with every step. He panted and wiped the sweat from his brows, adrenaline the only thing keeping him from feeling the cold air around him. Yeah, definitely not the best option.
At first he’d been glad to get out of the harsh sun that seemed to shine fucking constantly in his forest, but past the border of the Bogs, there was nothing. Seriously, literally fucking nothing. He’d seen this area from afar before, known that this land was filled with nothing but rot and darkness, but fucking lord he didn’t think it would be this bad. Maybe there was a reason this place was illegal to enter.
Other than it’s, y’know, horrifying murderous residents.
That was the only real reason Tommy had thought it would be a bad idea to come here. No sun? Fine. Lots of mud? Sure, he can handle that. Terrifying creatures of rot that have been at odds with his own species for practically as long as he’s been alive and who his kingdom had fought one of the most brutal wars either side have ever fought with? Eh, best 2 out of 3.
In reality, that…really didn’t seem to be a problem. He hadn’t seen a boggin the entire time he’s been here. Hell, he hadn’t seen any sign that this section of the first was even lived in. At first he was afraid that meant an ambush could be coming, but at this point he’d take a potential kidnapping if it meant he’d get off his feet for a minute.
He wasn’t entirely sure how long he dragged himself through the mud, it had to have been the majority of the day at that point, but he eventually found a big enough log that led out of the mud and near to a tree with a decent sized hole in it. He could have cried in relief.
He hauled himself onto it, having to relent to crawling since he could no longer stand. He made his was across and collapsed into the hollowed out trunk, limbs shaking from exhaustion. He was…so fucking tired. He was sure that the second he stopped shaking, his adrenaline would wear off and the chill of the forest would return, and he wasn’t sure if he wanted to pass out before or after then. God, would he have the strength to get back up if he passed out? How long has it been since he saw the sun, since he had any energy?
After only a few minutes, he’d been left practically paralyzed. He couldn’t lift his limbs and his eyelids were growing heavier by the second. He was helpless. He…he would die there, and no one would ever know what happened. Maybe the boggins would be kind enough to bury his body, though he doubted it. He’d just be another leafman lost in this dull, dead part of the forest, just like his m-
He was snapped out of his thoughts as he felt a gust of air on his face, growling steadily heavier until it was strong enough to push back the petals on his head. He heard strong, loud wing beats, and through his barely opened eyes he could see a giant bird (bigger than any bird he saw back at home, anyway) landing on the log he used to get to the tree. Was he about to be eaten? God, why couldn’t he have passed out before he was mauled by a bird?
Instead, though, he saw a blurry figure hastily leap off the bird and run up to him. He couldn’t make out many details, but they were…dull. They matched their surroundings almost perfectly, muted tones of brown in their clothes and purple in their skin. The only off bit was their jacket, which seemed to be made of two contrasting fur tones, black on one side and white on the other.
“Oh shit, oh my god,” He heard them mumble as they moved closer, kneeling to the ground next to Tommy, taking him in their arms. They were…big. That was the next bit Tommy realized. Not huge, but noticeably a lot bigger than him, or anyone he’d met. Maybe only by a head or two, but even their hands were the size of Tommy’s chest. And even being so close to him now, Tommy’s vision had blurred enough that he couldn’t make out much of the rest of them. The stranger felt around under his chin and around his wrist, pressing down as their breathing started to grown frantic. “Oh god, ok, ok…” they said, trying to calm themselves down before tapping Tommy’s face. “I need a sign you’re still alive, if you can hear me at all. Can you give me a sign?”
Tommy was never usually one to take orders, but this seemed kind of important. Fuck stranger danger, this person was his only hope and he didn’t want to die here. He hated his dad, he hated his kingdom, he hated his future, but he didn’t hate his life. He had things to do, he had to grow and learn and be better. He had to practice magic to keep the forest balanced and safe, he was supposed to learn hand-to-hand combat with Techno, he was supposed to hang out with Tubbo tomorrow and help him with his shop, he couldn’t die.
He tried his best to muster any movement at all, anything to show his good samaritan that he was alive and needed help, that he wasn’t just a corpse to be left behind, but nothing. Not a twitch, a wink, nothing. The stranger above him sat patiently waiting for a sign that Tommy couldn’t give them, and he wasn’t sure how patient this person was. He wasn’t sure when they would give up and leave him to die. This couldn’t be happening. He had the chance to live, but his stupid fucking body couldn’t move without energy, and the sun was well hidden by the fucking bog trees. “oh god, you can’t be dead…” he heard the stranger whisper, voice quivering like they were about to cry as the arms around him started to shake.
Oh, like fucking hell he was dead.
Somehow, miraculously, he tapped into something as he barely managed to twitch a finger against the ground of the rotting tree. He heard the stranger gasp as a small vine pushed out of the ground, one that would have been imperceptible in his home forest but seemed to almost glow in its current dim brown surroundings. “Was…was that you…?” the stranger asked quietly, almost disbelievingly as the grip around Tommy grew slightly tighter. The vine wrapped itself around their ankle. ‘I’m alive. Help me, I’m alive.’ Tommy thought desperately.
Maybe through dumb luck, or telepathy (probably not but hey Tommy lived in a world of magic, he couldn’t be sure ), or a rare act of kindness from the universe, the stranger hooked their arms under Tommy and carried him out of the tree.
“Enderchest!! Over here, girl!” He heard yelled as the wing beats grew louder again. The blurry figure of the bird from earlier came closer and Tommy felt himself be set on the bird’s back as the stranger sat behind him, hoisting his body against him with one arm and grabbing a rope around the bird’s head with the other, flicking it as the bird took off into the sky. The petals on Tommy’s head subconsciously moved to shield his head from the harsh wind as the bird flew up, seemingly knowing exactly where to go. Tommy wasn’t exactly sure what was going on, only seeing the world in a blur of greys blacks and browns until suddenly he saw a blinding light. He felt warm, he felt heat hit his skin and almost immediately started feeling better. The harsh wind slowed as the bird picked a branch to land on above the treetops, still in direct sunlight. Tommy felt himself get lifted and leaned up against the trunk of the tree they were on as the stranger went back to the bird for a second, leaving Tommy to finally have the strength to open his eyes again.
Looking around, he was very high up. There were very few other other branches in the bog trees that could see the light. He felt the tree behind him and tried to put his weight on it so he could stand, but stumbled when his hand didn’t meet the solid wood he was expecting. He turned to see that the entryway was made of strings of wood beads that his hazy vision had mistaken to be part of the rest of the tree, and the inside was hallowed out and seemed oddly cozy and lived in.
“You ok?” He heard, and he quickly whipped around to see the stranger taking something from a small pouch sewn into the saddle of their bird, which Tommy now recognized as a Raven. He was a bit more concerned with the stranger, though.
As they walked back up to him, Tommy finally took notice of the sharp points on their arms, legs, and shoulders. He finally noticed the pointed ears, pointed teeth, almost disproportionate limbs, muted skin and frankly absurd amount of furs and bone jewelry.
He’d been rescued by a boggin.
‘Of course they’re a boggin’, he realized, ‘i’m in boggin territory, if anything would find me it’d be a fuckin boggin.’ Why were they being nice? Was it to make a false sense of security? They’d seemed so genuine when they first found him, but why would they actually want to help him? They’re enemies, boggins murder leafmen for fun, they’re crazy and dangerous, that’s why the Bogs were off limits-
Tommy froze as they came closer and kneeled in front of him, holding out a small canteen and smiling gently, if not somewhat awkwardly. Tommy hesitantly reached out and took it, undoing the cap and smelling it. Water, even still somehow cold and fresh. He momentarily forgot that he was in the presence of the enemy as he greedily drank it down, almost crying from relief as he felt himself grow stronger again but refusing to waste any of his hydration on things as useless as tears. The stranger sat smiling until Tommy hesitantly handed it back. “…thank you.” He mumbled, and the stranger nodded as they walked it back to their bird. “I have more if you want another?” “I’m good, thanks.” Tommy said, trying to remember any lessons Techno had taught him on manners and what he called “basic civil decency.” No one could say Tommy wasn’t raised to be polite (not to say he was, but he was certainly raised to be).
They seemed to be at kind of a standstill, Tommy refusing to start any sort of conversation for fear of potentially insulting someone that could definitely kill him if they wanted, and the stranger just kind of mindlessly fiddling with the straps on their bird to make it seem like they were doing something. Great. God, Tommy hated silence. Apparently, the stranger did, too.
“I’m glad you’re not dead.” They said, still not looking back at Tommy. “…why?” He couldn’t help but ask, immediately regretting it as the stranger turned to stare at him with a look of shock and confusion. “what??” they asked, and Tommy shrunk back on himself. “It’s just…y’know..you know what I am, right? I- I’m not…” “A boggin?” They finished, coming closer again. “Yeah, obviously. You’re from the bright side.” “The bright side?” The boggin nodded. “That’s what we call your side of the forest. You’re a leafman, right? I’ve never met one of you before, or gone to the bright side. And I’m guessing you’d never been to our side, either.” Tommy sighed. “How could you tell?” “I found you on the ground caked in mud. There’s a reason we all either live in the trees or underground; the forest floor here is a deathtrap. You’re lucky you didn’t run into a bobcat or something. Actually, i’m not sure if they’d even be interested in you since you’re a plant and they’re carnivores, so…” they continued on prattling as Tommy made the connection. Ah, so that’s why the forest looked so uninhabited and no one saw him. Everyone just knew to stay off the ground.
“So how did you find me?” Tommy interrupted, and Ranboo laughed. “Dude, everything here is either brown, black, or dead. You stick out like a sore thumb, I could see the green in your leaves from a mile in the air.” Tommy chuckled at that. That must’ve been quite the sight to see; a bright colored random leafman trudging through a dead forest. He might as well have had a giant glowing sign that said ‘I don’t belong here come and kill me!’ The stranger’s face brightened as Tommy laughed, and they took a few more steps towards Tommy before stopping. Tommy looked up at them. They seemed…nervous. Scared? He wasn’t sure, but what the hell, they hadn’t tried to kill him yet. Tommy smiled back at them and scooted over on the branch, patting the spot next to him. The stranger grinned and sat next to him, both of them just sitting in comfortable silence for a minute.
“You know…I was kinda scared to go and help you, as awful as that sounds.” They sighed, and, wow, did that catch Tommy’s attention. “What? Why??” “Cause…I don’t know, I didn’t know if you were hurt or just stopping to rest, and I didn’t want to mess with you if you were ok, cause…” they shrugged, looking away. “But I saw you stop moving entirely and realized you were in trouble, even if I could get hurt I couldn’t leave you to die.” Tommy was only more confused. “‘Cause??’ Cause why?” “Cause you’re a leafman! I mean, you guys kill our kind for no reason. We’re practically mortal enemies!” Tommy paused. He looked the stranger dead in the eyes and saw them shrink back slightly.
Oh, they were being serious. They were actually, genuinely scared of him.
It was quiet for all of two more seconds before Tommy began laughing hysterically, the sudden noise making the stranger flinch back. “Oh..oh my god, man, you’ve gotta be shitting me, that’s…” Tommy laughed, wiping stray tears from his eyes. “You’ll never believe this, but I was thinking the same thing.” He said as he saw their eyes widen. “I came to up here and I thought you might try and push me off the tree cause you’re just homicidal or something, i don’t know.” “Me?? Do I look homicidal?” They asked, a smile tugging at their lips. Tommy grinned. “I don’t know! Do I?” “I mean, I guess not really. You’re not the horror story I was told, you’re too scrawny for that.” Tommy fake scoffed in offense. “Well, I’ll have you know that you aren’t quite the bloodthirsty monster I was told about either.” “This not-so bloodthirsty monster has a name, y’know.” They smirked.
”Noooo,” Tommy drawled out sarcastically. “I thought that names were just a leafmen thing.” He finished before smiling and sticking a hand out. “Tommy. Sorry I didn’t introduce myself earlier, as you’ve probably realized by now, manners aren’t really my thing. That, and I thought I was going to fucking die so it wasn’t really the first thing on my mind.” His hopefully-new-friend chuckled, grabbing it and shaking gently, given that Tommy’s whole hand could fit in their palm twice over. “Ranboo. I’m glad I got to meet you before you succumbed to your lack of sunlight or…whatever happened to you, you’re fun. I don’t..uh….I don’t have many friends.”
“Well, then, I guess that just means I don’t have competition in becoming your best friend.” Tommy said with a tone of finality, standing and reaching a hand down to the boggin, who took it, wide eyes staring up at Tommy. “You mean it?” they said, the hope eminent in their voice. “I wouldn’t have said it if I didn’t, bossman. Plus, I, uh…don’t have many friends myself.” “Ah, I couldn’t possibly see why, you’re just so charming.” Ranboo responded sarcastically, and Tommy could barely pretend to be offended past the smile plastered on his face. Finally, someone who understood his sense on humor. “Bitch, I will have you know that I am an absolute pleasure t-“ Ranboo interrupted him by pulling him into a hug, one Tommy had no problem reciprocating. Eventually, they pulled away, eyes glassy with what Tommy hoped were tears of joy. He kinda wanted to make a joke about it, but he was ninety percent sure he looked the same, so he really wasn’t one to talk. “Thanks, that..that means a lot to me. But you probably wanna go home.” Ranboo finished as he called over his raven, who perched closer and leaned down so Ranboo could get on.
Tommy sighed. “Yeah, my dads probably already got a search party or six out looking for me, but I’ll be fine. Besides, I can’t leave without knowing where to see you again! You think you can meet me at the north bog border sundown tomorrow?” Ranboo smiled, sharp teeth on full display but no longer threatening. “Sounds perfect.” They said, holding a hand out to Tommy as they helped him climb on the bird. “So, tell me about the bright side? I only get glimpses of sun when I come up to my nook here.” Ranboo jerked his head to the beaded entrance of the tree. “I’ve always wanted to go over there, but I’m a little afraid of getting attacked. I wanna know everything.” “Oh, buckle in, my friend,” Tommy said, laughing and gripping the rope in front of him, “it’s a long way back home and I have a lot to complain about-“
~~~
“…So you have to make sure to be on your absolute best behavior. Stay right by my side, don’t-“ “‘Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do.’ Right, got it, old man.” Tommy replied to his father in a mocking sarcastic voice. Phil glared at him before looking back up to Techno, who nodded without even looking back. They’d done this whole charade plenty of times; Tommy ignored his dad and Techno was left to make sure he didnt hurt himself. Honestly, Phil used him as more of a babysitter than the actual trained guard he was. Tommy actually felt a little bad for him.
They continued their way through the bogs on a higher path through the underground tunnels since apparently Phil knew the “don’t walk on the forest ground” rules. Lucky bitch. Unluckily for Tommy, they were there on some official royal business shit. Something about knowing how to handle “those freaks” (as his father had put it) once he became king.
“I mean it, Tommy. This is important. We want to keep our people safe from these creatures, but they need to see that fucking with us is a bad idea. If they think we’re weak, we’ll all be killed. All these monsters want is the death of our world, do you want that?” Tommy sighed. Jeez, could his father be any more dramatic? Every word out of his mouth was harder and harder to believe by the day now that he knew Ranboo. The two of them hung out constantly, usually at the treetop nook since it was concealed well, and Ranboo was nothing like what his dad had said. And Ranboo assured Tommy that he was nothing like he had been taught, either. Still, though, Tommy had to keep up his mask. “No, I don’t want that.” He mumbled, facing down. “But maybe calling them ‘creatures’ and ‘monsters’ in their own turf isn’t the greatest idea, either.”
“Ah, so that’s what you call us behind our backs, then, is it?” He heard a voice call out from the opened area of the tunnel in front of him. He saw his father stiffen and his face harden, the same expression he wore for every meeting and decision he made. Tommy was pushed back by Techno, who used himself as a shield between him and the newcomer.
They were clearly a boggin, tall yet slightly shorter than Ranboo, but the small spikes Ranboo had were nothing compared to the quills that lined their limbs. Their skin, what little they could see of it under a scaly cloak made of snake skin and the leather armor under it, was a desaturated grey-ish green. Their face was covered in a similar armor-like plate on the lower half with bones sewn into it in a curve reminiscent of a smile, and the cloak had a hood that fell over his head; the head of the snake with the jaw still intact, lining the top of his head and their collarbone with dagger like fangs. Above the mask, Tommy could see the remnants of a massive scar that gashed through the left side of their face down through the right, though it clearly continued behind the mask. This, this was their king. This was the guy his dad and Techno had warned him about, this was the bloodthirsty ruler of the Bogs. This was Dream.
They looked absolutely horrifying, but surprised Tommy when their eyes quirked up in what had to be a smile and they simply bowed to his father. “King Philza, your majesty.” Which immediately struck him as odd, but he assumed it was a royalty thing. He went to return the gesture and bow, but was elbowed harshly in the chest by his father. Phil glared at him momentarily before turning back to Dream. “…let’s just get this over with.” He said before walking past him and into the open area.
“…Techno! You seem to be doing well!” Dream said awkwardly as Techno went to follow Phil past the boggin. “And you still look decrepit. That scar still giving you a hard time, or does it look any better under that mask?” “Well sorry that not all of us grow back when they’re cut down.” Dream replied coldly. Techno simply shrugged and motioned for Tommy to walk past as well.
“Ah, you’re new! What’s your name?” Dream asked, and Tommy stopped. He…honestly felt bad. This guy was trying to be a good host, and his dad and Techno were being dicks to him. Godammit they were in his house! Weren’t there, like, hospitality rules or some shit? If someone walked into his home talking like that, Phil would have kicked them out before they even got in! Fucking hypocrite. Couldn’t they at least try to be a little nicer than normal? “I’m-“ “None of your concern, boggin.” Techno interrupted, coming back to grab Tommy by the wrist and drag him away. Oh, fuck this, Tommy had had enough.
He pulled away harshly from Techno’s hand and held it out to Dream. “I’m Tommy, the prince, Phil’s son. It’s a pleasure to meet you, sir.” Tommy watched Dream’s eyes widen in shock, but he felt eyes burning into the back of his head. He glanced back and, oh god, if looks could kill, Tommy would be a dead man. Phil looked absolutely murderous, and even slightly horrified at Tommy’s normal display of courtesy. Honest to god, it was just a handshake! What’s the worst that could-
It was only then that he remembered one crucial detail about the royal boggin family: just as the royal leafmen could control the life in the forest, the boggins could control death, and with that, rot. Any simple contact could kill anything, and more importantly for this particular matter, him.
Ok, maybe Tommy fucked up a little.
But to his surprise, Dream gingerly took his hand and shook it (he ignored how he heard Techno’s breath catch), eyes bright with joy. “Please, no need for the formalities, just call me Dream, kid.” He said, letting go of Tommy’s hand, and he couldn’t help but smile that Dream seemed to like him. “Let me guess, here on royal bullshit? Gotta learn how to negotiate and stuff?” Tommy nodded, “It’ll be my job someday, better learn how to get good at it now.” “Well, I like the confidence! How old even are you?” “Uh, I just turned 17.” “No way! I have a younger sibling that’s your age! I’ve only been in power for about a decade, so they’ve still got some time before they’re crowned since i’m not an old bat just yet,” Dream paused only briefly and Tommy fought the urge to laugh out loud at Phil’s offended gasp, “but you should totally meet them! Hold on, I’ll run and grab him!”
Dream held a finger up as he ran to a different section of the tunnels, and Tommy could only hope that he’d be back soon since Phil was glaring daggers at him and Techo’s head was just in his hands. Yeah, this would be a fun talk when he got home. Thankfully, Dream stepped into the room only slightly panting from his apparent sprint through his tunnels, the figure behind him shrouded in darkness from the section of the tunnel Dream had come from.
“Alrighty, King Philza, Tommy…” his eyes stalled at Techno, “bitch,” he continued before Techno had any time to interrupt, “I’d like you all to meet my little brother and our prince…”
The figure stepped into the light and Tommy made eye contact with them, freezing immediately, recognizing them. How could he not, they had been hanging out together in secret for months! They were his best friend! They were barely out of the tunnel before they froze as well, eyes locked onto Tommy, clearly recognizing him, as well.
Oh shit.
“…Ranboo!”
Not a move was made as they both tried to process what they were seeing. Ranboo had never told him they were a prince! To be fair though, Tommy hadn’t brought it up much, either. He hadn’t wanted Ranboo to treat him differently since he was royalty, but they probably felt the same way.
They were fucked, weren’t they?
The Prince And The Gardener
Word Count: 1,430
TW's: I actually don't think there are any. Is just fluff.
Characters: C!Dream, C!George
Summary: Dream is a fairy just trying to do his job in the royal courtyard. George is a prince looking for a place to hide from his royal escort.
A steely gaze bore holes in Dream’s back. He’d done his best to ignore the feeling of being watched. He had far more important matters to tend to. As his fingers slid across the velvety surface, the yellow-brown pigment of the petal gradually brightened to a light pink hue. The wilted stem was pulled straight by invisible strings. His hands lingered there until the leaves had entirely unfurled themselves, prepared to catch the rays of the sun once more.
He hovered above it a bit longer before moving onto the next.
“What are you doing?”
The voice startled him stiff. He’d been hoping that it was a fellow palace staff member who had decided to take their break in the courtyard and opted to watch him. They weren’t usually allowed in there but you wouldn’t find Dream running to the king and queen to tattle on them. However, nobody who worked in the castle had an accent like that. Silky and refined, the product of being raised in an environment with more highborns than commoners.
This was royalty.
Royalty didn’t talk to servants unless they wanted something and Dream could only imagine what it was they desired of him. He drew in a deep breath before turning around. He dipped into a low bow the instant he recognized the prince.
“Reviving the flowers, your highness. The drought’s done a number on them,” he explained, doing his best to avoid the hardened blue eyes trained on his ever flutter. The prince watched him with a bored expression. His fingers idly slid across one of the many rings on his fingers, draped across the bench like he owned the place…probably because he did.
“You revive them all individually? There’s thousands of them.”
Don’t sound ungrateful, don’t sound ungrateful, don’t sound ungrateful-
“I haven’t anything else better to do,” Dream replied, flashing the most respectful smile he could muster. The prince didn’t reply at all. He just continued on frowning. By the looks of the indents burrowed deep in his skin, that’s all he ever did.
Dream hadn’t been dismissed from the conversation but decided it wouldn’t hurt to continue on working. He split his attention between the young royal and a particularly fried flower.
“My father doesn’t care much for magic,” the prince remarked. A flicker of something unreadable flashed in his eyes. “He doesn’t care much for anything.”
Dream may not have understood what emotion was gracing those regal features but he could recognize the wistfulness in his voice. He knew the sound all too well. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his lips.
“We fairies are tethered to some element of nature at birth,” Dream began, skillfully avoiding the prince’s gaze. “There are plenty of respectable ones for men. Fire, ice, water, wind. Flora? Not so much. My father was ashamed of my magic. He thought if anyone found out his son was a flora fairy then he’d never live it down. So I was never allowed to use it.”
The prince sat up a bit straighter.
“But you’re using it now. Doesn’t that upset him?”
“Oh I’m sure he’s turning in his grave,” Dream chuckled mirthlessly. “But at the end of the day, magic is a part of me. It’s not my job to convince him to accept that.”
A silence fell over the pair. Fear jolted through Dream’s body. He’d entirely forgotten who he was speaking to! This wasn’t just a friend who needed a bit of emotional support. This was literal royalty.
“What’s your name?” the prince asked.
Dream swallowed hard around the lump in his throat.
“Dream, your highness,” he replied honestly, blatantly ignoring the little voice in the back of his head telling him to lie.
“Dream. How long have you worked here, Dream?”
Stay focused. Stay calm.
“About five months, your highness.”
Prince George rolled his eyes.
“We’re alone out here so you can drop the ‘your highness’,” he snapped.
Was this some kind of test?
“It could be considered treason for someone to not acknowledge the crown,” the fairy stated carefully. He wiped the remnants of magic from his fingers on his pants.
“And just what do you think disobeying a direct order from a prince would classify as?”
Dream winced at the sharp tone. Point taken. Point taken, indeed. The prince let out a heavy sigh, collapsing onto the bench.
“You have no idea how bored I am! Ever since the last attempt on my life, I’m not allowed anywhere without an escort. Had to ditch him just to get here.”
Restriction on the castle had grown noticeably tighter ever since the last assassin posed as castle staff to get close to the royal family. Everyone was practically on lockdown. Dream didn’t used to be the only gardener out there and yet, there he was. All alone. That’s only because he was hardly even considered a person, let alone a threat.
“I can’t imagine how difficult that is for you, your-er-George.”
“No, you really can’t. All you’ve got to worry about is your silly flowers, he muttered, tapping one of the blossoms with the toe of his boot.
Silly flow-
Oh, Dream should have let that pretentious brat have it right then and there. Sure, princely duties were probably difficult to shoulder but this was hard labor. Should he fail to meet expectations, they’d have his head. It took him ages to build up enough magic just to get a flower to sprout, let alone bring one back from the brink of death. And he did it several times a day.
He wished the worst thing he had to hide from was someone with his best interests in mind.
But, he didn’t say any of that. Instead, plastered a smile on his face.
“I guess you’re right,” Dream said.
“Of course I am,” George snarked.
‘Of course I am’ Dream’s thoughts echoed. He hated this guy. There were plenty of other places to hide in the castle. With every passing second, he was further tempted to point the prince in the direction of them.
“You talk a lot for a fairy,” George continued.
“Met a lot? We’re usually pretty hard to find out in the wild,” Dream said, doing his best to keep the chatter tame and uninteresting in hopes the prince would simply grow bored.
“You’d be the first I’ve seen out of a cage.”
It wasn’t really his words that caused Dream’s hands to falter as much as it was the casual manner in which he said them.
“I’m honored,” Dream deadpanned.
“You should be,” George replied, folding his hands behind his head.
Dream didn’t know whether to be relieved at the fact the prince didn’t pick up on the disrespectful, sardonic venom dripping from his voice or to be disappointed that the prince had actually taken it as a compliment to further his ego.
“For the record, I can’t say I’ve ever met a prince outside the castle before. Or in the courtyard.”
George’s mouth pulled into a wry line.
“Can’t say I’m surprised. My father is the only one allowed outside and he’d never be caught dead in the courtyard.”
Dream sighed.
“Shame. Might be nice for people to actually admire these flowers, royalty or otherwise.”
The prince’s crystal eyes cracked open. He shifted ever so slightly.
“I suppose I could come out here more often,” George murmured.
Dream hovered a little higher. A wild grin spread across his face before he even had a chance to try and hide it. Maybe this guy was a brat but he was still the only person even semi-willing to talk to Dream. The thought of him actually coming back was impossibly exciting.
“Really?” the fairy beamed.
A light pink hue painted the prince’s cheeks. He shut his eyes and the color vanished as abruptly as it had materialized. He shrugged.
“I guess. But if my babysitter finds me, he might just kill us both.”
Dream turned emerald eyes to the sky, slowly coming down to land on the edge of the garden bed.
“He’d have to catch me first.”
“You think you can outrun him?” George demanded. Dream couldn’t help but feel a bit offended at just how ridiculous the prince made the idea sound.
Dream pulled his leg to a bend, resting his chin on his knee.
“I think I just need to outrun you.”
George scoffed, the corners of his lips twitching upwards in what may possibly be the closest thing to a smile that he was capable of producing.
“You’re stupid.”
The fairy only laughed.
These aren't the best moments in his life (Surfer Dream pt 5)
I'm finally posting a fic again woooo :D
hero you go with a new part for surfer Dream au :)
Enjoy :]
TW: Safe/soft vore, unaware prey, fearplay, injury (mentioned)
It's been about 6 months since Dream went into a coma. Karl visited him three or four times a week, since he missed him very much and was very worried about him.
One of those days, Dream finally woke up from his coma, which pleased Karl and clearly Sapnap and Quackity. They were really relieved that he was able to wake up from the coma.
Due to health and safety reasons, Dream had to be hospitalized for another two months, which was fine with Karl as he was quite concerned about his roommate's condition.
During that time, Dream slowly began to be able to speak normally. It took him quite a while to do so, but with the effort, he was able to speak again without stuttering. In the end, he was allowed to leave the hospital, back home with Karl.
//
Dream walked out the door, heading towards the port. “Dream! Where are you going??" Karl asked as he quickly approached his friend. Dream let out a long breath, looking at him with a pout.
"Come on... I'm just going for a walk, you don't have to worry so much about me..." "Dream... You've been in a coma for six months, almost seven, plus two months of rehabilitation" He replied seriously while crossing his arms.
Dream let out another slightly annoyed sigh. “Karl, come on, I can't be locked up all the time. I'm just going to take a walk for three hours and come back, okay? Nothing bad will happen to me…”
Karl looked at Dream for a few seconds before sighing in defeat. "Okay, but if you haven't come back in three hours, I'm going to ask Sapnap and Quackity to find you and you won't come out for two weeks."
Dream thought about it for a moment before nodding. “Okay, deal. See you in three hours." he said before turning around and continuing on his way towards the port. Once there, he got on a small boat and headed out for a few miles into the ocean.
//
An hour passed and it seemed to Dream that he had gone far enough, so he stopped the boat. Not even five minutes passed when the sea began to move a little more violently.
‘Okay, maybe I should have listened to Karl…’ Dream stumbled backwards as a wave crashed into the boat. The sea was getting even more dangerous by seconds.
Much larger waves began to appear and crash against the boat. Dream tried to hold on to something but then, an unbelievably huge wave hit the boat, causing him to slip, hit his head on the ground and knock him unconscious.
Although before falling unconscious he could kinda see something light blue and gold, his sight eventually turning completely black.
//
Punz had only thought of taking a long swim by the sea, what he did not expect was to find a small boat being hit and pushed by the waves. With a sigh he approached the surface, sticking his head above the waves, watching the boat for a moment.
He narrowed his eyes, leaning a little closer, wanting to take a closer look. His eyes widened as they took in the only person in it.
The person was unconscious, which worried him a lot since the boy could die because of the state the sea was in.
Letting out another sigh, he picked up the boy in his hands and slowly introduced him into his mouth,swallowing him slowly and gently, since he didn't want to hurt him, or at least, less than what would have happened to him before he arrived.
Once he was sure the human was in his storage, he dove back in, swimming for the nearest shoreline.
Before he could move too far, a blue shark hybrid and a killer whale hybrid stopped him off, the shark grabbing him by the neck. “Where the fuck is Dream?! What the hell have you done to him!?” he said in a furious voice, baring his sharp teeth at her in a snarl.
Punz got nervous, who was Dream? Was he talking about the human he had found a few seconds ago? The shark grew impatient at his lack of response, tightening its grip on his neck a little more.
"Well?! Are you going to answer me!?" The other mer stepped in, trying to calm him down. "Sapnap please, calm down, you won't get anything like this..." Sapnap looked at his partner for a moment before letting out a sigh and letting go of Punz's neck. "Okay... Now, talk"
Punz looked at him a little bit nervous. “Uh.. That Dream.., has dirty blond hair and is wearing a green shirt...? Uh, if it's him... I found him unconscious so I decided to store him to keep him safe...”
Sapnap sighed at that. "Okay... I can tell you're not lying, but I don't trust you, understand?" he told him in a serious tone.
Punz nodded, flinching as a hand landed on his shoulder. “Calm down kid, he's just a little upset, it's alright, okay? Spend some time with us and you will see that he gets used to you.” Punz nodded again. "And what about you..?"
The orca gave a small giggle. "Me? don't worry about me, I do trust you, usually whale shark hybrids are really honest, besides you looked too nervous to lie, I think you're not good at that." "I guess..." The orca pulled him a little closer while drawing Sapnap's attention.
“Why don't we talk a bit on the way and get to know each other a bit?” He commented looking at both of them. Sapnap just shrugged, not really caring for the idea.
"Okay then, my name is Quackity and this is my fiancé, Sapnap." He says pointing at the shark. “My name is Punz…”
I finished the first chapter the night before this was posted. I'm busy all day today so I can't really take time to post it so I opted to schedule it the night before.
This is a gift for @cyncerity and I do plan to write a few more chapters. It's my own play on their trapped Wilbur au so I hope you enjoy it. I'm calling this Of Starlings and Confines but the tag will just be #Starling AU since it's a little bit of a long title.
Chapter 1 | Chapter 2
Also if anyone wants @'d when new chapters come out. Repost it so I know.
The soft cardigan that draped over his shoulders was enough to tell Tommy he was safe. He had barely managed to make this from Friend’s wool before everything went to hell. It was going to go lay it on the grave he’d made for the ghost but he couldn’t bring himself to do away with it. After all, he didn’t have a chance to see him. Wilbur and Niki had taken the sheep before he even found the sheep’s reborn body.
On top of this the cape techno had left with him had been turned into a cover for his wings. The avian hybrid knew full well that, if given the chance, Dream would try to cut them off in a heartbeat. He brushed his blond from his eyes, narrowly missing the scar that adorned his forehead. His tail swished as he quietly fettled with his khakis and ruined green bandana that was tied around a belt loop.
The 16-year-old knew he shouldn’t be doing this, let alone when Dream was on the loose, but he had to check on Boo and Tubbo. They may not be on the best terms as of right now but he had to know they were safe from that fucker’s greed. He wasn’t going to let anyone else get hurt from the stupid obsession. The dreamon wasn’t going to be allowed to do any more harm to any of them. He stepped from his dirt shack, running his hands through his messy curls before he let his wings spread. The wind blew through each feather, allowing his instincts to sing at the long-abandoned desire for 5 years. He hadn’t brought himself to return to the sky despite how much Philza had begged him.
Flying had sadly become a trigger for his PTSD. He hated it considering flying was once a desired release. Dream had taken it from him by clipping his flight feathers and threatening to remove his wings altogether if he attempted to fly once they grew back. It was an endless cycle of having them retired before he even got to use new flight feathers. Honestly, he wasn’t even sure he could still fly after all this time.
Ignoring his inner dialogue, the blonde let his wings beat almost to the rhythm of a heart before he fluttered into the air. It wasn’t graceful like his dad had once described his flight pattern and instinct, but the sensation of wind and the air brushing under and over feathers was peaceful. He could feel the cape over his shoulders getting in the way of his wings despite being decently pinned. He felt glad he’d done that so at least instead of trapping air or interrupting his flight they instead rested in between his shoulder blades and fell, following the space, past his scapulars.
Each stroke of his pinions brought him closer to his destination and the duo’s home. He knew the husbands would probably be against seeing him, considering Boo didn’t act anything like Ranboo did. Tubbo refused to let him around them since he didn’t want his platonic lover's ghost to disappear. Tommy just needed to make sure they were safe and warn them about the risk Dream opposed to them getting back at him.
No matter how mad he get at that smiling blob of a fucking person he refused to take it out on anyone but him or not at all. Puffy’s therapy had taught him enough to grow healthy coping mechanisms but.. Well of course this had to ruin his weekly visits upon escaping since Puffy couldn’t handle having her son released. The ewe had mixed feelings after he caused Techno to be dragged into Pogtoupia’s beef which led to her youngest child’s death.
Tommy hated going into the rabbit hole of his own thoughts but at least it distracted him from the fear bubbling in his stomach. The nagging fear that bubbled in his abdomen, flooded forward and gave a sensation of nausea that shot through every fiber of his being. He did his best to hide it deep down just like he did with most things. This wasn’t something he could hope or wish away like some of his feelings.
As he got closer, the distant sounds of shouting and seemingly an argument reached his space. Being this high in the air he really shouldn’t be able to hear it but, if they were this loud, something had to be wrong. He broke into a hover, letting his wings slow down into a glide as he made his way down to them. It was hard to get down quickly without just dropping his weight so this was the next best option.
Once his sneakers reached the brush, grass and moss being crushed under his weight, the teen stepped forward. It was rather refreshing to hear Toby even if he wasn’t in a good mood. The ghostly echo that seemed to speak in response wasn’t very surprising considering the connection Boo had still attached to his spouse. Nothing could kill the bond they both had, Tommy wished he could have experienced the same thing even after exile.
“We can’t just let that bastard have our son! Goddamnit Ranboo!” His goat friend yelled out, Tommy could see how Boo kept stepping in front of Tubbo as he yelled towards if not behind the ghost. He sighed moving forward and into view of the couple. He wasn’t surprised as the fellow hybrid looked over the enderman’s shoulder and towards him. The half-blind teen simply glared in his direction before the insatiable happened.
“Tommy! The homeless Teletubby stole Michael!” Tommy could feel his blood run cold at this. He’d been too late to stop that fuckers actions and the choice to take it out on others who no longer had a part in this. He felt a snarl press against his lips and cross his face as he turned.
“Which way did he go.” He found himself mumbling.
“There is no-” Boo began but Tommy refused to let him finish.
“Where the fuck did he take your son!” The blonde shouted, watching as Tubbo’s eyes lit up for a moment, only a moment, as his hand pointed towards the east. Tommy didn’t even take a second to consider his options before he let his wings open and brought himself up above the trees, propelling himself in that direction. No matter how long the two of them planned to hate or dislike him, he refused to let Michael be a victim.
He knew Boo would be mad but he didn’t care. Tommy needed to keep Michael safe when Ranboo would be eager to see him if, no, once he was back from the afterlife. He was quick to rush, his dark wings weren’t well adjusted for hiding in the dark unlike his brother’s. Wilbur’s wings had white slats that had some dark brown or black shading. He thought they were beautiful in comparison to his black primaries and bright red flight feathers. His own wingspan of 7 feet seemed to dwarf his size but it really wasn’t. In comparison to his body, when spread out, they looked proper and reminded him of Phil’s crow-based wings. He wasn’t actually aware of the bird his were based on. He knew the immortal knew but he’d never really gotten to bring it up.
He watched the ground, much like a hawk searching for a rabbit or something along those lines. Unlike a hawk, he was well aware of what he needed to find, not a victim to instincts and a need for food, unlike the well-known predator. Tommy refused to let himself be swallowed up by stupid nature, he wasn’t going to lose himself to it.
He was unaware of how long it took for him to take notice of pink and white. Without another hesitation he dropped, landing roughly and accidentally causing the small child to scare. The moment the three-year-old’s white eyes landed on his form, the small snort that left him as crying started caused his heart to lurch in panic. He couldn’t believe Dream would consider harming this angel.
“Hey, Big Mike.” Tommy whispered as his arms wrapped around the child’s body, his wings moving to hug him as well. He refused to let him go as the pigling squirmed to be held higher. He tucked the child on his hip, listening as he muttered something in enderspeak. He wasn’t proficient in the language, unable to learn more after Ranboo’s passing.
“Scared. Taken. Green. Blob.” It honestly made no sense to him but he knew what Micheal meant by the green blob. He could feel a growl forming in his throat as he carefully juggled the toddler's body. His hands held him protectively as he moved the cape, uncliping it as he used it to slightly swaddle him. He knew the small boar would like the texture considering he remembered how Techno used to wrap him in one of his own capes.
Tommy heard something, his slightly pointed ears swiveling as he glanced around. His grip grew more possessive and protective as he looked for the cause. He had this sneaking feeling it was going to be who he thought it was. Dream had no reason to back up or leave. The avian had no armor or weapons on him and he was sure that he would at least need to survive long enough to get Micheal to Tubbo.
He shook as he glared before his sharp eyes took notice of the small white form on the floor. He wasn’t used to seeing Dream’s blob form. He knew the dreamon was well versed in transformation magic but… this was different. The asshole never entered this form unless he was around George or Sapnap. Tommy lifted him up, with some hesitancy, before hastily dropping him into his pocket and making his way towards the small piglin’s home. He had to get him home before he could take care of this.
His interest was peaked and, if Tommy was honest, having a chance to take the dreamon back to prison for once and for all, was too important to give up.
Wyrm Problem 2
So now we have a viper disguised as a simple garden snake among our protagonists, how will they get along?
Tw: vore mention, injury, harsh language
If he was being honest, Wilbur hated being a Kaiju. But it was either be a Kaiju and stand a chance, or be “human” and get eaten. But that’s the thing: Wilbur technically wasn’t both. He was a hybrid, an unfortunate result of humans trying to understand creatures they couldn’t comprehend. Another thing Wilbur hated was that as a Kaiju he only had his arms to move himself foreward, his legs were his long slithering tail. He had no eyelids so he couldn’t blink (that was irritating at first but he got used to it), he had a massive appetite, and he was just all around out of place. His scales were the wrong color for a forest Viper, so hunting was impossible as a Kaiju.
The only thing he could do was drink and roam around, other Kaiju ignored him because he had a trick up his fangs: venom that would leave them on a 5 hour long drug trip. So it wasn’t all too bad he guessed. He approached the river and sniffed the air, his tongue flickering the catch the scents around him. He picked up a human and a sprinter, huh, odd? They’re never alone, alone is a death sentence. Even for someone like him, had not he found out about his hybrid qualities.
But then he heard it, a squawk. He froze, instantly going into defense mode and camouflaging himself. He watched around carefully, there! In the bushes! How did he not se that before? The human got on his mount and ran. Shit, he scared him. Wilbur normally tried to be human when he meets other humans or Kaizen. But looks like today wasn’t the case exactly as he took off after the human.
That was earlier today. Wilbur felt uneasy around the two rougher men, but Tommy seemed to be the least threatening out of them all. Keyword “seemed,” since he was out by himself without any hints of fear.
Skipping ahead to current time, Wilbur felt uneasy. He normally did when people stared at his unfortunate mutations, but he was getting extra irked out by the Piglin named “Techno.” Wilbur didn’t like how he was being burnt holes into his skin by the pig. The ride to their home was silent, aside from an occasional cough, sneeze, or chittering from the birds they rode.
Dream was mainly focused with Tommy but was constantly glaring with suspicion at Wilbur whenever he got the chance. Wilbur knew he wasn’t a fool, he looked like he was the brains of the trio, he looked like a cold and calculating huntsman, thinking about every move 4 steps ahead. There was no way he could lie to the human, but it was better than the piglin.
Techno was obviously the brute strength of the trio, a well fed and well trained adult piglin was a dangerous one, and Techno reeked of bloodthirsty behavior (mainly because he actually smelled like blood). The piglin had a blank face but Wilbur knew he was skeptical. Kaizen knew the smell of a Kaiju from a mile away, he would only fool him with a sob story of escaping nearly being eaten. Plus the dead stare of blood red eyes glaring with the sharpness of Hygoras teeth were enough to make him unnerved.
“Hello, ground to Wilbur?” Dream said loudly, snapping Wilbur out of his thoughts. Right, he was human, he can blink, and so he did.
“Hm? Yeah! Sorry, just thinking…” Wilbur said, and mentally face palmed. “Just thinking” was what you said in a city, not to a band of huntsmen. That’s what you said if you wanted to become a snakeskin backpack. Or a piece of Kaiju bait since he didn’t have scales at the moment…
He got off the sprinter and followed the three inside the tree, holy shit there were a lot of stairs. Humans are pretty primitive so it made sense somewhat. He took a deep breath and followed them up the stairs of the hollowed out grand oak, marveling at the woodwork. At least they had some downtime to make an unfortunate home nicer.
“You like the woodwork? Me and Techno spent weeks working on it.” Tommy said proudly, trying to break the silence. The piglin only grunted in agreement. “I’ll show you around when we get up to the branches. Hope you’re not allergic to cats or Moth-hounds.”
The teenager looked so giddy, compared to his brothers who were on edge. Even though Wilbur was mildly injured (a burn on his chest and stomach, a deep gash on his right forearm from an accident) they still didn’t trust him.
It’s your eyes and ears, they don’t trust unnatural things. Wilbur thought. Maybe if I lie and say it’s a mutation they’ll believe it. Well, maybe not, it’s kinda hard to lie about literal snake eyes.
They got to the top of the stairwell and Wilbur was amazed by the craftmanship of the tree base. He was sure this wasn’t here a few days ago when he passed by here. Clever humans.
“So, what were you doing all the way out by the river?” Techno asked, mainly glaring at Tommy but asking both the question.
“Well I was out getting supplies when I heard something massive, so I hung back to wait for it-“
“It was a giant fucking snake! The thing wanted to eat me I’m sure of it!” Tommy interrupted.
Ouch, Wilbur thought, slightly flinching. He then realized he flinched and looked to see if anyone noticed, thank the moons there’s not a mind reader in here.
“That might’ve been a viper. They live in the desert though how did one get all the way out here?” Techno said,
“Maybe it realized there was more food?” Wilbur asked because living in a canyon is not very filling. He thought bitterly, remembering all the times desert wildlife nearly claimed his life.
“Then we got a huge problem on our hands.” Dream said. “And you, you were supposed to wait here for us!” Dream scolded Tommy.
“But you might not have known about the viper,” Wilbur pointed out. Techno shot him a look and Wilbur gave a tiny “meep” before quieting down.
“Well how do you know about it when you never went down to the river?” Dream questioned.
“Again, I heard something massive slithering through the undergrowth, but that’s not all. You see this body wrap?” Wilbur pointed to the linen wrapping on his stomach that had faint blood. “There’s something going on out there, the Kaiju are acting weird.”
“What kinda weird?” Techno inquired.
“A few weeks ago I was tracking a group of Platebacks, you know, the ones that like to smoke weed? Well 3 days ago they started acting aggressive and attacked each other-“
“Why were you following Kaiju?” Dream asked, reaching for his sword.
“Relax, Platebacks are vegetarian and have no reason to attack humans or Kaizen.” Wilbur said hurriedly.
“He’s right, I’ve encountered a migration before and they just kinda politely ignored me.” Techno said with a shrug.
“Exactly my point! First they were chill and passive, then as if overnight they were like rabid giant animals.” Wilbur said. “And that’s not all, multiple Kaiju are beginning to act like this that normally have nothing against tiny sentients like me and you.”
“So, are we in danger?” Tommy asked nervously.
“I’m afraid so, the forest is no longer safe, something is making the Kaiju aggressive. Worst of all, there’s one out there that has been actively hunting and eating humans and Kaizen. A minotyr.”
Silence, everyone knew how dangerous a minotyr was. They had the ability to shatter the strongest of bones with one hit, and were impossible to put under. You had to be fast and flexible to survive a pissed off minotyr.
“Well where are we gonna go? I’m not leaving if I don’t know where to go.” Dream crossed his arms.
“We could go to the Diamond Summit range, Skullora are peaceful and willingly help mountain travelers.” Techno suggested. Dream was about to argue,
“Well it’s getting late, we should rest and come up with a plan later.” Tommy said, getting up and walking to his room. Dream sighed, he was exhausted even if his mask hid his face. Techno didn’t show any sign of anything other than that stern militia look.
“Where’s the stray gonna sleep?” Dream said, pointing to Wilbur
“Stray?!” Wilbur echoed, offended.
“He’ll sleep on the couch, I’ll lock the weaponry” Techno said. Wilbur didn’t fully understand their problem with him, why were they so unnecessarily mean? He was “human,” but did they know he was a Kaiju secretly?
“Alright then, I’ll go ahead and sleep on the couch I guess,” Wilbur said in defeat, he wasn’t tired but a nap wouldn’t hurt, right?
“Then it’s settled, tomorrow we make a plan to get out of the forest.” Dream said, walking off. Wilbur was about to go to the couch, but when Dream’s door could be heard opening and slamming shut, he felt a burly hand grab his shoulder.
“Look, I know something’s up with you, and I’ll give you a pass since you clearly are with injury, but just know, this is my family, this is my house. Try anything, and I’ll have your disembodied head mounted next to my sword.” Techno warned, his shoulder spines bristling. “Anyways, get some rest.” Techno said casually, as if he didn’t just threaten to rip Wilbur’s head off 10 seconds ago.
Wilbur clutched his heart, okay, so he was under suspicion by only Dream. Good to know. He didn’t sleep for the whole night, uncomfortable in the presence of danger.
(And that’s where we end Chapter 2! I have made the decision to take a month long break, partially because Owl House is ending and I know there will be lots of spoilers I won’t be able to avoid, but the main reason is because I have started my “Magnum Opus,” if you will, a sort of fictional autobiography. That will release on my birthday! Well, close to it… so that’s why aim taking April off. The hope is so I can focus all of my energy to write this piece I have been thinking about nonstop, so that’s also why it was difficult to complete this chapter. Thank you for reading, see you in late April! Enjoy these funny fillers below, lol)
