Adam- guy who says he HATES touch but desperately craves it and melts and malfunctions when given affection but he will NOT let u know that

Jonah- he fucking loves physical affection,, he’s a big cuddler so watch out!

Evelin- a lil nervous when asking for physical touch but likes it quite a lot me thinks, esp simpler things like hand holding or resting her head on ur shoulder

Sarah- she’s SOOOO touch starved but she’s not edgy abt it like Adam is, she’s def more open to it even if it catches her a bit off guard at first

Cesar- GUY WHO LOVES AFFECTION!!!!!! IT IS 1000% HIS LOVE LANGUAGE!!! He will literally just plop down on mark no words said and boom cuddling ensues (platonic ofc)

Mark- he also loves affection but he’s not gonna ask for it, when cesar just falls on top of him he’s not gonna say anything he just lets it happen, he also definitely likes to be held/given hugs esp when he’s upset/anxious/paranoid

Ruth- definitely a hugger as a way of greeting ppl, but like those really tight ones where it feels like u just broke all of ur bones,,, she also does the thing where she’s just really aggressive w ppl for no reason like she’ll laugh and hit ur back and u feel like ur spine is reshaped

Thatcher- this guy has not been touched in like 20 years what the fuck even is physical touch, Ruth was the last person he ever hugged.

adam - hes a "passenger princess" simply because every time he gets behind a fucking steering wheel, the car becomes a goddamn death machine. its not that he can't drive, he just has no sense of self-preservation and drives like a lunatic. jonah let him drive the van ONE TIME. never again. never. again. only in emergencies, which is why jonah tries to make sure that emergencies never happen-

jonah - Pokémon card collector. like. religiously. he's got them in cases, he's got them graded, PRESERVED. he's got an entire corner of his room dedicated to his cards. he'd die if anyone touched them like. he's got the cards he plays with and the cards he saves.

sarah - regularly quotes/references veggietales much to everyone else's confusion and annoyance. "esther from veggietales made me realize I was a lesbian." "SARAH WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT-" yeah. veggietales girlie.

evelin - she's a theater kid.

mark - he very much praises using good language and "not using the lord's name in vain" with other people and will yell at others for cursing. BUT HE HAS THE WORST FUCKING MOUTH OH MY GOD- over the littlest things too. he stubs his toe ever so slightly and you hear just a SLEW of swears from halfway across the house at top fuckign volume.

thatcher - got the nose piercing because dave dared him to. he cried.

dave - he wears the sunglasses all the time simply because it became a joke between him thatcher and ruth. they never saw him without them on and it became their mission to take them off. think that one scene in the gravity falls short where dipper tries to see stan's tattoo and thinks he's gonna get him in the shower but stan is in there, fully clothed and just goes "ur never gonna see it, kid." Thats Dave with the sunglasses. he just does it bc its funny.

gabriel- acts, carries himself, and talks like Jeff Goldblum.

So, as far as we know, Adam's whole family is dead. And I'm going to assume he probably was on a run for at least few months, considering his and Jonah's wanted posters.

(I have no idea how they work, but to get one you obviously have to a)be recognizable enough and b)get connected to the crime you commit. Also, their bounty is way too high to be the first one. You don’t get 100k$ for your head overnight.)

But back to the topic. My question is:

Where did he live before?

Like, he existed as a person for at least two years, considering that he met Sarah in 2007 and the most recent time we see (and where he appears) is winter break of 2009 (which means, per Wikipedia, it's somewhere in second half of December 2009 Edit: I've been corrected that in Vol.4 we see January 2009 as date of events. Or was it?). He didn't know (or at least wasn't fully aware) he was an alternate, just like anyone around him. So he needed a place to sleep, eat and do other human stuff. He also was never mentioned to be adopted or gain any new family.

And where do kids without families live?

Orphanages.

I think we can almost certainly assume that it's where he lived. He had to be legally registered somewhere to be able to go to school, and (correct me if I'm wrong) I don't think he could do that living on streets.

And do you know who used to often run orphanages or work in them (at least I heard so)?

Nuns.

Day 1, 4:12 am

I woke up to rumbling from inside the house. I didn’t think much of it until I came to my senses. The loud yet low sound seemed to stop when I sat up in my bed, like as if it had heard or seen me. I wasn’t sure what it was at first. But it terrified me. I was too scared to open the door and see. Sitting on my bed, I waited for something to happen, but it was all quiet. The silence was deafening. It filled my ears with a ringing echo. Like as if the world had completely stopped, and there was no such thing as sound.

5:29 am

I tried to return to my sleep, but it was pointless. My eyes were wide open, and I peered at the door every waking moment. The sight of it burnt into my eyes, and I could still see it when I shut them. I flinched a bit when I could hear something scratch against the wall behind me. I was petrified. Something was out there. Luring outside my room. I didn’t know what to do.

7:47 am

There are scratching on the walls. It’s trying to get in. Whatever, or whoever it is. My skin is as cold as winter, yet sweat still runs from my face. I don’t know what’s happening.

9:33 am

There is knocking on the door. And it is strungling to get in as the lock on the door resists it. I can hear Cesar’s voice outside, desperately trying to make me let it in. It’s not him. It can’t be. I don’t want to know.

Day 2, 11:54 pm

It won’t stop. It will never stop. No matter how much I pray, it will never go away. A voice I once found trust and devotion in, now only fills my soul with terror. I feel like I’m losing my grip on reality.

Day 3, 1:06 am

Everything hurts. But I cannot care about how starved and dehydrated I am. My sight is glued stuck to the door. There are scratching inside the walls. Voices outside my room. And knocking on the door. Please make it stop already. If there is a god out there. Make it stop. Please.

5:21 am

I do not know what to believe in anymore. I’ve lost all of my faith. I keep dialing 911. Yet no one has come to help me. I don’t want to know. I do not want to open the door. I don’t want to see what’s on the other side, but it has been days.

6:59 am

I’m trembling in fear. The voices are getting louder and more demanding. I can’t take this anymore. God won’t answer my prayers. And society won’t answer my call for help.

9:42 pm

I tried one last time. But they won’t come. It’s hopeless. No one is coming to help me. No one. I can still hear the distorted voice of my friend outside my door. I can’t stand another second of this. I have completely lost myself. My eyes are wide open.

OHHHHH BOY OK itll be my basic hcs for them but they apply to fe so yeah just take that

Adam - guy who will never say that he enjoys physical touch but guy who craves it so much. my god. it makes him feel human. just to fiddle with someone else's hands, with his own hands, sit a bit closer to his friends, lean on em bc he's so fucking tall. that kind of shit. he'll never ask for it or talk about it up front, but it brings him odd comfort he can't describe.

Evelin - she's a very huggy and touchy friend. hugs are her go-to greeting and parting gesture with everyone, she likes to do everyone's hair and such. yeah.

Jonah - he's pretty normal about it. he likes to put his arm around people and give em big hugs when he sees them but he doesn't have to. pretty average opinion about it.

Sarah - if there is anyone in the cast who hates being touched (to me at least) it's her. she's not a hugger. she's not one to wrap her arm around anyone. she's even iffy on things like handshakes. she's very much a 'give me my space' type girl. which is so valid of her. only in very RARE cases do these walls break.

Mark - complete opposite of his sister. bear hugger. he was a very tactile person so touching/holding things and people were a big thing for him. 90% of the time he was the one holding Sarah as a baby because he liked having that weight in his arms. yeah touchy guy very sweet.

Cesar - more like Jonah. he's alright with physical touch. could take it or leave it. he's chill about it.

Dave - where do you think Mark gets the bear hugger aspect from? guy who gives BIG OL DAD HUGS, ruffles your hair, puts his hand on your shoulder and says 'good job, champ!' yeah you get it

Thatcher - touch starved and wont do anything about it. he's never the first to intiate a hug or handshake unless he has to. thank god his friends give him attention without him asking because he wouldn't get shit otherwise-

Ruth - like a really sweet aunt who pinches your cheeks every time you see her and hugs you a million times and holds you by the face. yeah.

Alternate x reader toothache hcs

(I know it sounds weird, but I get a lot of bad toothaches, so it's nice to have some comfort)

They could tell that you felt off today

You kept your mouth more shut, and in a awkward position

At some point, would probably just put there hand in your mouth and ask "which one?", while you scream at them for having there hand in your mouth

There are two ways for this to go:

~ GORE WARNING ~

One: you tell them which one is hurting, and they straight rip it out of your mouth right then and there, with there hand

And then comfort you, with you now having to deal with MORE then just a toothache

~ GORE WARNING END ~

Or they don't rip your tooth right out of your mouth, and try to actually help with your pain (instead of try to just get rid of it)

Ether way, by the end of the day your toothache is gone, let's just hope, it's the one where it goes away naturally

The fact that original Adam is (probably) dead, and not the one we know doesn't mean that the one we do know isn't a real Adam. In interview with Wendigoon, Alex mentioned that taking someone's form affects alternates in some way, including gaining their memories. So, consider.

If you were someone in every sense but literal. You were called by their name, looked like them, sounded like them, remembered everything that they experienced, and was them, for years, after being nobody. Wouldn't you be this someone? Or identify as them?

Maybe Adam was dead for years, but he also tried to kill himself when he learned this.
