The Other Haft AU (Splinter 2012 Backstory)

So, this is technically a 2012 x 2018 TMNT crossover, but instead of falling into each other's universes. Instead, they share a world.

Yoshi Hamato(2012 Splinter) has a younger brother, Lou Hamato (2018 Splinter), Yoshi loved Lou but his little brother was a little rebellious. He was constantly trying to explore the world and won't just accept his life. Lucky for Yoshi, his best friend Saki was able to help him wrangle Lou.

The three of them were a set as children, if you saw one the others were likely close behind.

Then Lou leaves the Hamato Clan. Yoshi and Saki had been out when it happened. It had been tense when they left but they didn't expect for Lou to have been kicked out.

Saki wanted to go search for Lou but Yoshi managed to convince him to stay. Of course Yoshi was sad his brother was gone but he was sure he would be happier without a clan breathing down his neck.

Years go by Yoshi meets Tang Sheng, gets married and has his first child. Lou's name is never spoken and Yoshi never looks for him. He his affraid that he won't find anything.

Meanwhile Saki has been silently stewing in his frustration, he is constantly worried about Lou and angry that Yoshi wouldn't let him look for their brother.

Yeah... That went well, now Splinter is all alone. His family is dead and he is pretty sure Saki straight up lost his mind. So he dose what any sane person would do and moves to Newyork to find his baby brother.

We all know what happens next, four baby turtles, some green stuff, a rat and two aliens.

Soon after the turtles turn one, Splinter goes on a supplies run. He finds a old magazine under some Kleenex. On the front there is a picture of Lou wearing a sparkly jump suit and the caption '3rd anniversary of Lou Jitsu's disappearance'.

His baby brother had been gone for at least 3 years and he hadn't knowen. Splinter feels like an abosultet failure, for not protecting his brother and fuck he went out of his way to stop Saki from protecting Lou.

TMNT The Other Haft AU, Lou vs The Hidden City

Last time on TMNT,

Yoshi (2012 Splinter) convinces Saki (2012 Shredder) to not go look for Lou (Rise Splinter) after he gets kicked out of the Hamato clan.

Action Hero Lou Jitsu got dragged down to the battle Nexus by Big Mama to become the new champion.

So I am kind of stealing someone else's AU, so thanks to the wonderful @camthecatchameleon for the Battle Nexus AU.

Draxum owes a debt to Big Mama and gets tossed into the Nexus. Of Course, big Mama puts Draxum and Lou against each other. Draxum has more rights than most participants but not by much.

Draxum is 'if you can beat me in a fight' Sexual. When they meet Draxum only as a few more weeks left in the Nexus before he is free, in those weeks he in Lou fall in love. It takes a while, them debating over humanity, sharing tragic backstories and Draxum giving exposition on the hidden City but yeah they are hella gay.

Draxum refuses to levea Lou behind in the hell known as the Battle Nexus. After he is released he instantly goes to the library to look for legal loopholes to make Lou a citizen. The solution: Marrgie. Now he just needs to get Lou alone for long enough for them to swear the oaths.

So he voluntary re-enters the Nexus. Big Mama is over joyed since 'The Baron' had been one of her biggest money makers and his fights with Lou had always drawn the most attention. So she markets this fight to hell and back.

Lou is concerned when he hears that he will be fighting Draxum again because yes the goat did promise to break him out but Lou didn't think he would follow through in any capacity.

During the figth Draxum tells Lou the plan and Lou agrees because he would do anything to get out of here and Draxum is pretty chill once you get past the whole 'I will murder humanity' bit. (Plus, Lou finds him very attractive).

See this is a magic marriage the it dose kinda Magically Bond them which is visible.

The crowd goes silent before some yells

"NEW POWER COUPLE"

Cheers, applause and demands for a proper wedding. Big Mama is pissed but #BaronJitsu is trending the Hidden Internet so there isn't much she can do.

Years go by and Draxum and Lou relise that they actually are in Love, so that's fun.

"I would like Children" Says Draxum in the middle of a movie.

Lou is supirsed but on bored so bip bap bop

TURTLES

The 'series' would take place in the hidden city and their main goal is taking down Big Mama. The dads didn't want the kids to be involved but they couldn't stop them.

Big Mama is killed in the climactic battle for the nexus by Lou who takes over the Battle Nexus. It's now a massive tournament and much safer. It still illegal but more moral. People win money, they can opt into death matches and they can choose their opponent.

Notes:

Draxum and Lou are good dads, they are all very close with there boys and will protect them.

Big Mama is dead, got killed by Lou in the final show down.

Meat Sweats, Repo Mantis, Hypno and the rest exist but are just Big Mama's yokai goons.

During the Series the turtles befriend the extremely angry foot recruit and have a few encounters with the foot clan.

The Turtles are aware that they have human family top side and Apriel did look into the Hamatos for them but when she read that they all died, well the boys were better off dreaming.

The boys don't have the best control over their mystic abilities, but they all unlocked them.

The Actual Plot of TMNT The Other Haft AU

I will assume you've read most of the back story so here is where the Crossing Starts

2012 Casey Jones get kidnapped by 2018 Cassandra and is forced to join the Mystic foot.

Topside Turtles search for Casey and start finding hints of the Hidden City

Shredder accidentally finds the hidden city meets up with Lou

Cue uncle Saki and him having to lie about what he has been doing for the past few years.

Shredder meets Draxum and is like “Hey, it’s a human tradition that if you are marrying into a family you have to beat someone up to prove yourself” and Draxum with zero clues about humans and few morals is like “Sounds legit”.

Draxum fights splinter and given that Draxum has magic he wins but before Drax can kill Splinter the topside turtles get to close. So, Shredder says he approves and Draxum thinks he did a good thing but didn’t tell Lou since Shredder said not too.

Meanwhile Casey is getting lots of Ninja training form Cass and has been forcibly added to the mystic foot. Lieutenant actually really likes the kid and decides Casey needs magic powers. Now Casey has green fire that can burn him and he has zero clue on how to control it.

The topside turtles finally find their way into the hidden city and are so confused.

They all get separated due to shenanigans. Donnie gets found by 2018 Raph. Mikey gets found by the courts. Leo is surviving solo. Raphael gets adopted by Warren and Hypno.

Lou finds out about what has been happening the past few years and says, “I knew Saki couldn’t manage his emotions that well!” While Lou and Draxum are trying to figure out the next move Donatello starts learning violence and also becomes the team medic.

The courts are hella confused about this turtle since he has the same name, General personality and colors as one of their most wanted but whatever. Mikey becomes a court warrior and really wants to go home.

Leo has been looking for his brothers with no luck, but he has figured out that there is another group of ninja turtles suspiciously similar to his family.

Raphael is getting angry management training for Hypno while looking for his brothers.

April and Splinter come down to the hidden city since the boys have been gone for two days.

Anyway, the Mystic foot launch an attack on a museum to get a piece of the dark armor.

So Mikey gets sent to check it out by the courts, Leo happens to be in the area, Raphael catch’s it on TV and Donatello comes with the Rise Gang.

Everyone is really angry and confused about Casey’s betrayal but then they meet Cassandra and understand something weird is going on here.

Raphael gets angry and starts yelling at a Casey which causes their minimal control over there fire to fall apart.

The rise gang manages to get everyone out but the museum gets burned down.

They re-group at Lou’s grand hotel and have a small family reunion. Of course, there is lots of confusion about the name situation so form now on the 2012 gang are the full names while 2018 are the nicknames.

The Topsider turtles ask about Cassandra and they get the info that she has been a part of the foot as long as they have known her, and she can kick major ass.

Meanwhile Lieutenant and Brute ask Shredder to join the mystic foot and of course he says yes. Shredder is surprised to see Casey but after being briefed he finds this hilarious.

Cass, Casey and Shred Head get a similar dynamic to Cass and Draxum in Rise. Shredder dose a thing and becomes the new leader of the foot; Casey goes along with this because he has nothing better to do and Cass thinks she can better protect her brother at the top.

Shred dose kinda care about the kids, he is concerned over Casey's inabbity to control his magic. He knows how bad burns hurt and ends up helping Casey care for his new burn scares.

Cass has started to question the foot's teachings because of what Lieutenant did to Casey (Giving him a power that hurts him, and he can't control)

The Aprils become besties and Splinter aplogize for not protecting Lou. Lou doesn't blame him and welcomes his rat brother into the family, as long as he doesn't start perching traditional Hamamoto BS because Lou is doing fine.

Then Splinter recognizes Draxum and is terrified and confused. Draxum tries to make it up to him my giving Shredder a cane that can turn into an assortment of different weapons. Splinter accepts it because it is a meaningful gift and it's super cool.

Draxum tells the group about Shredder lying to him to use him to kill Splinter. Lou is pissed at Shredder and then have a falling out soon after.

For a while it's just a cycle of foot steal some dark armor while the turtle try and stop them.

Casey has been gaining more control over his powers and the dark armor is nearly complete.

The final piece is the helmet which is in Splinter's possession. They device a complex security plan, a massive vault located in the middle of Draxum's Mansion. Magically secured, you need to be a Hamato to enter, then a password, then have another Hamato enter a different password and then you can get the Helmet.

Shredder calls Kuri down to the hidden city.

A foot team consisting of Casey 'Zero-Fire Control' Jones, Cassandra 'Zero-Hobbies' Jones, Shredder 'Zero-Sanity', Kuri 'Zero-Chill' + Brute and Lieutenant.

Cassandra and Casey launch a front on assault bringing out Donnie, Leonardo, Ralpheal, Splinter, Draxum and Michelangelo.

Donatello and Mikey are looking for other Foot Cells and find Brute and Lieutenant.

Meanwhile Shredder finds Lou.

Lieutenant and Brute use a BS mugifin to capture Mikey and Donatello to threaten Lou into giving up the passwords.

"You and me aren't so different, we would both give up the world for our family but the big difference it that I am willing to use that to my advantage."

"What do you think releasing that demon will do?"

"Make a world where we can all be happy, no Hamato rules, no difference between Yokai and humans, no warring clans. We will all be a family, like it should have been."

Casey and Cassandra get captured while the rest escape.

Casey happily explains what the foot has been doing and exactly how he got into this situation.

Long Story short Shredder is planning to use the dark amour to make a new world.

How did Casey get here? Got kidnaped by Cassandra, drowned by Lieutenant in a magic river to given him a magic and trained to be a foot ninja.

So Splinter summons the ancestors who are like “you see, magic powers” and everyone is concerned since magic powers has been going horribly for Casey. Splinter insists they follow the ancestors. So this brings into question, who counts as a Hamato ?Of course Splinter and Lou + the turtles but what about Draxum? Apparently, Shredder still counted since he could enter the vault? And Casey’s magic won’t work if he was just human.

In short, the Hamato clan is The Aprils, The Turtles, Lou, Shredder, Splinter, Draxum, that girl Shredder had with him and Casey.

The people lacking magic are just Splinter and his turtle sons because 2012 April has her Kraang Powers, Lou unlocked his in the final fight angist Big Mama, Draxum always had magic, The Hidden City Turtled were born with it.

Donatello can heal people and make force fields.

Micghangelo is the flash

Leonardo can phase through objects.

Ralpheal can summon weapons.

Splinter can teleport to other magical Hamatos. and teleport people with him.

The turtles now have cool magic markings as well.

Cue boss music as the turtles start fighting Dark Armour Shredder

Everyone gets cool moments. Raphael doses some cool magic combos with all his weapons. Mikey runs circles shred head; Donnie uses his force fields as platforms for his brothers to parkour on. Leonardo phases threw shredder to get behind him.

Mess with the flaw, Saki gets thrown out and now they have a much bigger problem.

Lou being a crime lord is amazing. I feel like Yoshi would try to convince Jimmie’s bad while the shredder would just love it. He’s proud of his crime lord little brother.

At the end of the day the turtles expect that as far as CrimeLords go Lou is one of the fairest ones, so the turtles accept it.

It takes Splinter a lot longer to accept Lou's carrier's path, but he gets there eventually. Though it takes multiple screaming matches, a couple of fist fights and a lot of therapy.

Many would like to know how the Hidden City turtles met April or Cassandra. However, I want to know how Leo met Hueso in your AU.

I'll start with our dear April since she has less backstory. She meets the turtles the day she meets Mayhem. By that I mean she gets poofed into Draxum's lab. Mayhem didn't mean to but the human had grabbed them, and they had been heading to Draxum's to 'spy' (Watch the family Drama). She recognizes Lou and proves herself in a fight against Big Mama's henchman while they are trying to return her topside. This happens when she is around 10.

Now for the Caseys, these poor babies. In this AU Cassandra is older by 1 1/2. It might not be that much time all things considered but she took her big sister role VERY SERIOUSLY.

In this AU there are kinda two foot clans, the normal foot lead by Shredder/Saki and the Mystic Foot lead by Lieutenant and Brute. They fled to the Hidden city after the Clan was destroyed and rebuild there, far from any pesty Hamatos. Brute and Lieutenant find out about the Dark Armour and start to plot but haven't done much yet.

Neither of the Spilnters know about the Dark Armour because the Dark Armour was keep a secret expect for the elders who would monitor to make sure no one started to rebuild it.

So how did Cassandra end up with the foot? At a young age 3-Year-Old Casey and 5-Year-Old Cassandra found a wayward portal to the hidden city. It was their favorite place to explore! Their parents didn't care where they were so nothing stopped them form spending days at a time there. After a year Brute finds Cassey, he mistakes her for a lost child. Casandra gets Casey to hide and he watches as the Brute takes her away.

He never returns to the Hidden City after that. When he is older he doubts he even had an older sister, their are no pictures of her and the Hidden City seemed so unreal. Even by his standards. He is sure it's just old Trauma merging with old Trauma, that's why the guy had a foot face.

During the series Cassandra is low-key looking for Casey because she was indoctrinated into believing the foot was good and wants her brother to be happy and badass with her. She tells Lieutenant and Brute who both are like 'shit' and help her look but after seeing how intertwined Casey is with the normal Foot they realize they can't pull him out without risking exposure. So they lie and say they can't find him, since if Cass realizes her baby brother is fighting the foot with a hockey stick she will probably destroy haft the city in the name of 'protecting' him.

Now Senior Hueso, tbh he would probably still run Run Of The Mill but with illusions magic to make it look normal, unless you are a regular. Most of the customers are people who believe that Humans, Yokai and Mutant can all live togther. Lou loves it since he doesn't get too many weird looks and Draxum tolerates it. They go there for family dinners regularly so Senior Hueso knows them well. He meet them when they were 5 and is pretty much their petty wine uncle. Draxum has added extra mystic security since he is hella paranoid about humans. Hueso also knew young Casey and Cass, he would give them free pizza and nearly adopted them.

If I may ask, what are the ages of all the turtles? Like compared to each other. Are the Topside Turtles older then Hidden City Raph? Maybe the same age as him? Are they the same age as the Disaster Twins? Kinda curious about that.

so, this is where I admit something very important, I didn't watch 2012 TMNT and haven't finished Rise. So, ages might be kind of off from the series. But here is my best bets, the crossover stuff starts happening near the end of the TMNT 2012.

2012 Splinter/Yoshi - Early 40s

2012 Shredder/Saki - Early 40s

2018 Lou Jitsu - Late 30s (He is 5 years younger than Yoshi)

Baron Draxum - Late 3000s (Yokai age weird)

For your Other Haft Au, how is the relationship between Saki and Lou? Because for some odd reason, I think the two of them are much closer than Saki and Yoshi.

Like a big brother and little brother dynamic. And since Saki is often the one that reels Lou in, I feel like Lou rants about how strict the clan is to Saki. With Saki at the time agreeing but not leaving the clan, until Lou left/got kicked out and he went insane after he found out about his origins.

I feel like he had a small flashback to when Lou was angry and ranting at how the clan is being ran, and wishing that he could be free. Saki begins to delusion and think that Lou is justifying his reasons to kill the clan after he found out that he’s from the foot. This, uses Lou, Tang Shen, and his origins as his motivations to kill Splinter.

You are so right. Saki and Lou's personality's line up a lot more. Yoshi and Lou are close but if they weren't brothers, they wouldn't be friends.

When Yoshi tries to reel Lou in it normally involves a lecture, which doesn't typically work. Meanwhile Saki would try a much softer a approach where they just chat... Or Saki just picks up Lou and throws him over his shoulder. Yes, Lou rants to Saki a lot mainly about how stupid it is for them to give up living to try and prevent some stupid demon that probably doesn't exist. They would make plans to move to America, Saki wanted to become a writer while Lou wanted to be a movie star, but they would never follow through.

After Lou got kicked out Saki bottled up his emotions and stuck with the clan. He wanted to be there if Lou returned. His anger towards with Yoshi only grew over the years, he hated him for telling Saki to stay, for not visibly grieving, and for never talking about Lou. He doesn't feel like he belongs with the Clan but he doesn't want to leave Yoshi, even though he hates him.

Then he finds out about the Foot Clan. When he starts to rebuild it he tries to make it a place where Lou could be happy. He dreams of Lou returning and joining the Foot followed by Yoshi, it would be like the days when they were kids.

Saki snaps when he finds out about Lou's disappearance. He blames himself for not protecting but he also puts plenty of blame on Yoshi for never caring to check up on his brother. At least Saki kept an eye on him in the news and would watch his movies.

"You don't deserve to be happy." - Saki, about to murder Yoshi

That summarizes Saki and Yoshi's new dynamic.

The reason Shredder hates the turtle so much is because "Oh you care about some stupid teenage turtles BUT NOT YOUR BROTHER"

He also honestly believes he is doing a better job raising Karai then Splinter could.

He is still incredibly angary at Splinter.

The Other Haft AU is living free rent in my head and I love it. You make me laugh several minutes with the memes. You make me imagine possible scenes from this AU and I have a lot of fun. Honestly, I just want to see Splinter getting to know Draxum and think how the hell his little brother wanted to marry the crazy goat. How April met her turtle brothers in this world and how Cass can be Casey's little sister. In addition to how the Ninpo will be added to our Topside Turtles and react that all this time there was a world with people like them under the sewers. A moment of silence for the dudes. Part of me like to think of the Hidden city turtles as younger than the Topside Turtles and that they met only because they went to visit April to go to the park or something like that while the Topside hunted crazy mutants.

I am happy that you like my brain child!

Splinter cannot fathom how this couple happened, he know Draxum cares deeply for Lou and loves their turtle children but the goat scares him.

The Aprils are cousins, their moms had a falling out when they were young. Their Grandmother was also named April so that's why they share a name.

Now I’m curious to see the dynamic between the Hidden City family and the Topside family, after seeing your memes.

I find it funny and interesting that the Hidden city turtles like to hang out with the B-Team more. Plus the fact that the Topside turtles are mad/jealous and saddened at the fact that they could have found the Hidden City if they kept looking. I’m really excited to know what their adventures in the hidden city is like.

I wonder if this also before or after the Hidden City fam have dealt with Big Mama. Since the hidden city has different ages, then it would be like this in the start of the 2012 series:

(Long names: Topside; Nicknames: Hidden City)

Leonardo, Rapheal, Donatello, and Michelangelo would be 15; while Raph would be 13, Donnie and Leon would be 12, and Mickey would be 11.

They all consider each other cousin but there are some notable dynamics.

2018 Donnie has kinda pushed 2012 Donatello out of his pacifist ways because making weapons is super fun.

2018 Mikey gets along surprisingly well with 2012 Rapheal, they sometimes go tagging just the two of them.

2012 Leonardo cannot stand 2018 Leo, like he loves his little cousin, but they need a buffer between them or there will be a fight.

2012 Michelangelo loves ridding around 2018Raph, most of 2018 Raph's brothers had outgrown the habit so it's nice to have a monkey on his back again.

The reason the Hidden City Turtles prefer the B-Team because

2012 Leonardo has trouble with the lack of structure in the Jitsu Draxum household and can get pretty bossy. He tries to lecture the younger Turtles when they don't act how he expects Hamatos to act.

2012 Rapheal is normally okay, but he argues for no real reason and gets worse when 2012Leonardo is around. He also tries to be the leader when 2012 Leonardo isn't around.

2012 Mikey fits perfectly in and is a great friend. He is the closest in age and never talks down to the Hidden City TMNT.

2012 Donnie is responsible but can be convinced to abandon his brain cells.

The Topside turtles already defeated Big Mama before the Cross Over starts. Lou and Draxum now run the Battle Nexus.

I just want to know how Raphael ended up being adopted by Warren and Hypno. They became his gay uncles or what happened?

They found him knocked out in an alley on their way home.

In this AU Warren and Hypno both used to work for Big Mama before switching sides and helping the turtles. Now they live in a small apartment in the middle of DraxJitsu Terroirty and run a TV Channel.

They are hella confused about Rapheal and bring the kid back to their apartment to help him. After talking to Rapheal they are pretty sure the kid must have one hell of a concussion since he seems really confused about everything.

Rapheal just plays along since he is getting lots of information, free food and room. Hypno teachs Rapheal how the hidden city works and pretty much adopts the boy.

Rapheal is there for a week and in that time he gets a part time job at Warren Studios and gets on a few episodes on a few shows.

Like Meat Sweats Kitchen, he just tells Meat Sweats about Michealangloes cooking habbits and acts as a thrid jugde.

He appears on Repo Mantis's scrap show where they build a skate ramp. Rpaheal tests the ramp and helps Repo build.

He gets to go on Warren's talk show where they just make fun of people for 2hours.

Unfortunately none of the hidden city turtles saw the board cast but the rest of the hidden city dose. Rapheal becomes a bit of a celebrity.

Here is what I think the dynamic of the Hidden city family is like: The Addams family. Now you know they’ll get into some goofy hijinks and get with Draxum and his low morality and Lou’s thrill seeking drive, it’s going to be chaotic

The Hjinks in this family, oh dear.

Draxum lacks morals and can be kind of clueless so leads to some incidents.

This Donnie is also an alchemist since he has daddy Draxum to teach him.

Leo is still a major Daddy's Boy and regularly helps Lou with the Nexus.

Mikey is a well-known street artist, he is very poplour on Hidden-Tik tok (Which is owned by Lou)

Ralph is a vigilantly, he just likes helping people.

Lou is a over dramatic crime lord who loves his family. He runs the New Battle Nexus which has a lot more verity in its Battles and offers rewards for the champions.

The Hidden City turtles are kinda celebrities. Lou is the only human, Draxum invents machines to help improve the lives of Yokai kind and there children are following in there foot steps.

The only people who don’t like them is the courts, they already hated Draxum for not fitting into the Perfect Court Warrior Narrative. They don’t like Lou for being a crime lord but they hate him for being a human. The turtles are just a cherry on the hateful Sunday.

This is just a random thought, but since Tigerclaw and Lou have the same VA, would it feel weird for Saki and Yoshi hearing Tigerclaw’s voice when meeting

Yep, it is.

Saki dose okay with it most days but near Lou's disappearance or his birthday Tiger Claw knows to stay away at risk of being yelled at. Yoshi doesn't fight Tiger Claw often but he does notice, so he has the turtles fight him while Splinter fights everyone else. The turtles can guess this has something to do with there mysterious uncle who Splinter refuses to mention and Shredder won't shut up about.
