Me: *drawing Zephaniah, my Triceraton hybrid OC, so he can have a mega art post like Isa did while listening to his playlist*
Mama’s Boy by Dominic Fike: *plays the most iconic part*
Me: *suddenly sees a whole animatic where Zeph slams on a memory scanner and broadcasts his memories, showing the entire Triceraton Race and the Federation how much of a narcissistic, controlling father Zanramon was*
Man, I love angst so much

(I don't think Gruell, the other All Stars, and that one mailman Triceraton will get any votes, but it would be a surprise if they do. I will question why anyone would like Gruell since he's a a**hole, though)

TMayNT Day 24: Favorite Turtle-Adversary Dynamic
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I kinda like how the Turtles refuse to take the Triceratons seriously. While them mocking their enemies isn't really new to the franchise, the fact that even in more serious mediums like the Mirage comics and the 2k3 show, the Turtles decide that the best way to deal with these giant, dino-men from outerspace is to verbally lay into them.

Made to Watch
Title: Made to Watch       Day: Febuwhump 2023, Day 7: Made to Watch   Fandom:  TMNT 2003 Word Count:  3486   Author: aquietwritingcorner/realitybreakgirl Rating: T   Characters: Donatello, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo     Warning:  Torture (Triceraton Mind-Probe)   Summary:  Zanramon still had friends and he still has a grudge against the turtles. So when he gets the chance to extract revenge on them and on Earth, he has no problem re-using the mind probe to get both the information and the revenge he wants.   Notes:  I feel like I could turn this concept into something bigger, but since I don’t have that kind of time, please have this instead. ff.net || AO3

Made to Watch
None of them had ever expected to find themselves back in the clutches of the Triceratons, thrown as prisoners before them once again, but here they were. They were on their knees, in front of the throne, with their hands cuffed in front of them. Their weapons were gone, and guards were standing behind them, ready if they tried anything.
“Any idea what we’re doin’ here?” Raph asked, keeping his voice low. The guards didn’t seem too concerned with the conversation, but it was better to be safe than sorry.
“As far as I knew, the Triceratons were our allies,” Leo said, keeping his voice just as low.
“Maybe the power changed again,” Mikey suggested. “I haven’t see Traximus or anyone else we know.”
Leo grimaced. “I hope not. If the power’s changed again, then we have no idea who has us here.”
“Yeah but…” Raph looked around. “Have ya noticed that things look a little… run down?”
“Now that you mention it, yeah, they do,” Mikey said.
“What about you Don—Don?” Leo’s tone caught the attention of the other two, and all of them turned to look at Don.
He was sitting, as they were, on his knees, his hands bound in front of him with the blue glowing cuffs, and with a breathing device. However, he was stiff, his breathing carefully controlled, and he was looking around, not with his usual curiosity, but with an almost panicked look.
“Don?” Leo tried again, giving his shoulder a little bump.
“What?” Don said, looking at his brother as if he had been startled by him. Leo’s eyes narrowed in concern as he saw the momentary rise in panic in his eyes before Don locked it away.
“We… were saying that this place looks a little run down,” Leo said. “Don, are you—”
“It looks like Zanramon’s throne room,” Don said, interrupting Leo. Leo glanced back at Raph and Mikey, but Don didn’t give them a chance to say anything. “It does look run down, though. Or… no, that’s not it. Or not all of it.” Don looked around the room, as if seeing it clearly for the first time. “It’s almost like it was constructed from something already run down.”
“How astute of you to notice.”
The guards stiffened to attention. The turtles stiffened, too, but more out of surprise. Coming through a back hallway hidden behind a faded tapestry, Zanramon emerged. He looked much less pristine than he once did, and a little thinner, but it was clearly him.
“Surprised to see me?” he all but snarled as he took a seat on the somewhat shoddy looking throne. “Governments don’t change in a night, you know. I have people still loyal to me.”
“Yer supposed to be locked up!” Raph said, accusingly. “What the shell are you doing out!”
“Like I said,” Zanramon said. “I still have people loyal to me.”
“They broke you out,” Mikey stated.
“And then tried to put you back in power,” Leo added.
“Correct,” Zanramon said. “I will have my throne back. I will conquer worlds again. But,” he leaned back and steepled his fingers. “I do have a little… personal… business to take care of first. Namely, all of you.” He leaned forward. “I’m going to start my new conquest with your pathetic little planet. Even just a couple of Tribases should be enough to take it on.”
“The people of Earth will resist,” Leo said firmly. “They’re not going to just give in.”
“Oh, I’m sure. They showed some impressive fighting spirit last time. But this time, I’m not going in blind,” Zanramon said.
“What, gonna pull on all the intel you collected last time?” Raph growled out. “Send out some spies? Hack systems? Newsflash, you overgrown gecko, you lost all of that. You ain’t got the resources for that or an invasion.”
“Oh, I know,” Zanramon said, a wicked grin forming on his face. “But we don’t have to rely on memories and outdated data. Not when there’s a much larger knowledge base here.”
His eyes tracked over to Donatello, and Raph’s gaze followed his, growling when he realized that Zanramon had his brother in his sights.
He wasn’t the only one who noticed. Mikey scoffed, putting on some bravado. “Pssh, like we’d tell you anything!”
Zanramon’s grin grew, if that was possible, his eyes staying locked on Don. “You won’t have a choice. Isn’t that right, terrapin?”
Donatello had gone rigid, pale, his breathing picking up. There was a light tremble in his hands, but he fought for control.
“You…” his voice gave out, and he swallowed, trying again. “It didn’t work last time. What makes you think it would work again?” His voice was supposed to be brave, confident. Instead it came out shaky and sacred.
Zanramon outright grinned. “I’m so glad you asked. You see, after that little mishap last time, I had the data from the mind probe looked at. Oh, not the memories, but from what happened.” He grinned at Don’s stunned look. “What? Didn’t think I’d still have pull from prison? What fools you are. The mind probe has been reconfigured. You shouldn’t be able to pull off the same stunt that you did last time.”
“Don?” Leo looked at Donatello, worry growing in his voice. “Don, what’s he talking about?”
“Oh, you didn’t tell them?” Zanramon said. “Then allow me.”
He gestured, and a Triceraton came forward, holding a device that looked like a helmet. Don’s breath hitched.
“This is the mind probe,” Zanramon said. “It’s designed to pull all the information from a being’s mind, giving us access to that being’s entire memories. It’s an effective way to get what we need. It does have the unfortunate side effect of normally leaving the victim essentially brain-dead, but that’s really not my concern.”
His gaze turned hard. “The last time we met, I used one of these on your brother to get information about the Fugitoid. Somehow, he managed to resist. Called out pathetically for someone.” Zanramon gave his sharp-toothed grin. “Why don’t we see if he can do it again? With this modified helmet and being far away from your pathetic planet, I doubt his Master Splinter will be able to aide him again.”
Zanramon gave a gesture, and the guards seized Donatello. His brothers cried out in alarm, and Don started fighting back, surprising his brothers with his ferocity. Don seldom went all out in a fight, usually keeping himself very much in control of the strength of his strikes and of his focus. Now, however, he was fighting as if he was unhindered by any of his usual control.
Don threw his weight to the side unexpectedly and lashed out with his feet. The sudden movement was enough to dislodge one guard’s grip, and the shift was enough to over-balance the other. Don took full advantage, lashing up and out, knocking one guard off of the raised platform they were on, before he turned on the other. The other guards turned their attention to Donatello, and his brothers used that moment to launch their own attacks, kicking and over-balancing as many of the guards as they could.  For just a few moments it seemed like they might be able to make a break for it.
However, luck was not with them, and their resistance only lasted about a minute, until one of the guards pressed the shock button for their cuffs.
The effect was almost immediate, sending the brothers and any unfortunate Triceraton who happened to be touching them a jolt of energy. Donatello, whether out of desperation or a resistance built up from accidently shocks of his own, fought on after his brothers had collapsed, but even he couldn’t last against it for long. When he went down, the shock finally ended.
Panting, Don tried to pull himself back together, but almost before he knew it, a guard was grabbing him up, sitting him in front of Zanramon. He struggled, but his struggles were weak. He turned his attention to his brothers, seeing their wide, scared eyes, and couldn’t stop his own with filling with terror.
Zanramon snarled at them. “Watch as your brother gets his mind torn apart!”
That was all the warning Don got before the mind probe was pushed onto his head, blocking his vision and then turned on.
“Don!”
“Donnie!”
“Donatello!”
His brothers watched in horror as electricity sprang from helmet, crackling, powerful—and as Donatello screamed. They watched as he cried out, as he writhed, clearly in agony. Memories from him flashed up on the screen, forcefully pulled from his mind, even as he struggled.
Raph yelled for Donnie, roared out curses against Zanramon, fought against his guard to the point that he had to be pinned to the floor. Mikey called out for his brother, squirming and fighting and doing his best to get out of the grip of his guards and to Don. Leo struggled too, fighting, calling for Don—at least until he heard Donatello say something.
“M-Master! Father!”
Leo suddenly stilled, realizing that he could feel Don’s spirit reaching out for help. He snapped his head over to Raph and Mikey. “Guys! Reach out with your minds. Like Splinter taught us!”
To their credit, Mikey and Raph caught on right away, and almost immediately their struggles stopped as they concentrated on reaching their brother mentally. Leo could feel as Raph and Mikey reached out, the same as him, reaching for Donatello. For a moment, just a moment, their minds met, and they wrapped their presences over Don’s mind.
And then a shock ripped through Leo, through the others, throwing them out of the meditative state. Leo tried holding on the longest, but he felt the moment the connection broke, leaving him reeling as the mental cries of his brother as they were pulled away from him echoed his physical cries, and the machine on Don’s head continued down its torturous path.
He looked up from where he lay panting on the floor, eyes locked on Don who was still writhing and screaming. Leo desperately reached out for him, could hear his brother’s renewed struggles to get to Don and then--
The machine abruptly turned off, and Donatello fell bonelessly to the floor, helmeted head thumping hard against it.
“Don!”
His call was joined by his brother’s, but Donatello didn’t do so much as twitch.
“Look at that,” Zanramon said smugly. “It looks as if this time, it finished the job.” He turned his back on the turtles. “Take them away. Send that,” he gestured towards Donatello, “with them. We’ll keep them in reserve, just in case I need more information.”
Raph growled as a Triceraton approached Don, pulling the helmet off of his head, and then picking him up. Don didn’t respond to any of it, his eyes half open, but clearly not seeing. The guards goaded the rest of them to their feet, taking them to a holding cell. None of the turtles resisted, only wanting the chance to get their hands on Donatello.
The guards, who obviously weren’t fond of the turtles, bullied and pushed them as they walked, pushing them into the cell. The remaining guard threw Donatello at them without a care as to what happened to him. Leo and Mikey immediately went to catch him, even as Raph charged at the door. He wasn’t fast enough, though, and the door slammed shut.
“Leo?” Mikey’s voice was shaky. “Is… is he…?”
Raph spun around, making a beeline to Don’s side. Don was laying half on the floor, the rest of him in Leo’s lap as his brother cradled their fallen brother.
“He’s… alive,” Leo said, feeling a pulse. “But…”
“You heard what they said,” Raph said. “Is… did that… Or is he still there? Did we get to him in time?”
Leo shook his head again. “I don’t know. I truly don’t know. But I know that no matter what, we’re going to take care of him.” He rubbed his hand over Don’s shell. “You hear that, Donnie? We’re going to take care of you.”
Don didn’t respond, just laid there with unfocused, unseeing eyes.
Don slipped in and out of whatever little awareness he had. The first time his eyes closed, his brothers had very nearly panicked, until they realized he was just sleeping. They also discovered that he seemed to draw comfort from one of them being in contact with him, as his breathing rate picked up when they weren’t touching him, and calmed when he was with one of them. That he knew they were there was, at least a little comfort.
Leo tried mediating once, to see if he could find a way to reach Donatello.
“It’s just… empty,” Leo said. “I can’t tell if he’s hiding deeply or if…”
The brothers huddled more around Donatello after that, even as they tried to figure a way out of their situation.
When the rocking of their cell began, and the sound of weapons being fired was heard, none of the brothers had any idea if it was a good thing or a bad thing. Perhaps this base was attacking Earth. Perhaps it was being attacked. They honestly didn’t know.
Don stirred a bit at the shaking, and Mikey, who was taking a turn with him, curled around him some more.
“Shh, Don, it’s alright,” Mikey said, pulling Don into his arms more. “It’s gonna be alright.”
“Someone’s coming,” Raph said. “I can hear ‘em.”
“Mikey, stay with Don. Pull further back. Raph, you and I, opposite sides of the door. Be ready to move. Try to swipe the key to our cuffs. I’ll try to get a weapon.”
Raph and Mikey nodded, Mikey scooting back towards the back of cell with Don, and Raph flanking the door with Leo. As soon as the door opened, they moved, only to stop short when they recognized the Triceraton that stepped inside.
“Traximus?”
“Raphael?”
The Triceraton swept his eyes over them, seemingly surprised to see the turtles there. “What are you doing here?” he asked them.
“Zanramon captured us,” Leo said. “He’s imprisoned us. He…” he glanced back at Don. “He hurt Donatello.”
Traximus nodded. “I see,” he said. He pressed a small box on his uniform. “There are prisoners. One is seriously injured. Send a medical team.” He waited for the confirmation, then turned his attention back towards the turtles. “We’ve been tracking Zanramon for months since he escaped. We didn’t expect to find him here, but we shouldn’t be surprised. He was always a sore loser.” He stepped in further and knelt next to Don. “What did he do to Donatello?”
Donatello shifted a little, and Mikey rubbed his shell. “He called it a mind probe,” Mikey said, his arms still encircling Don as he held his brother to him. “Except he said it was, like, a supped-up version of it.”
Traximus frowned. “That is alarming. The mind probe is known to kill its victims or leave them with nothing. We’ll have Donatello looked at right away.”
“Thank you,” Leo said sincerely.
“We appreciate it,” Raph said as he knelt down next to Mikey and Don, putting his hand on Don’s head.
“Of course,” Traximus said.
It didn’t take long for the Triceraton medical team to arrive. They moved quickly, checking over each of them and loading Don onto a stretcher. The only problem came when they tried to move Don out alone, and he grew agitated. He only calmed when one of his brothers was nearby again.
Things moved fast from there. All of the brothers were put in the same area in the sickbay of Traximus’s ship. Doctors worked feverishly over Donatello, taking comparative scans of the other turtle’s brains. They were encouraged by the fact that Don seemed to recognize his brothers and responded positively to them. The brothers were encouraged to stay near him and to make their presence known. Zanramon’s reclaimed Tribase had been about a week away from Earth, which gave them at least that much time to spend focused on Don and his recovery even if Don slept for a lot of it.
“Man, you wouldn’t believe some of the cool stuff they’ve got on this ship, Don. You’d be going nuts over the engine room!”
“Their workout rooms ain’t no joke either. They’ve got a settin’ that’ll let ya change the gravity of room so you can practice like yer on other planets.”
“I’ve been reading some of the Triceraton literature they’ve translated. Man, Don, I think you’d really like some of these stories.”
Don’s eyes blinked slowly as he listened to his brother’s conversations. They finally seemed to settle on Leo, and he took a breath in. “Hey guys,” he said softly.
Immediately, their attention all turned to him.
“Donnie!”
“Don!”
His brothers rushed towards him, crowding the bed, even as Don blinked at them. He smiled though, and held up a hand, which Mikey immediately took.
“How do you feel, bro?” Mikey asked.
Don was slow to respond. “…hazy,” he said after a moment. “Everything seems to take longer to process.” He frowned. “I don’t like it.”
“It’s okay, Donnie,” Raph said. “The doc seems to think you’ll heal up. It’ll just take time.”
Don blinked at him. “I still don’t like it.”
“That’s not a surprise,” Leo said, grinning.
Don looked at them all, frowning, his eye ridges drawing together as if he were trying to remember something. His brothers waited patiently. “It… it was the mind probe, wasn’t it?” he finally said. “It… It was in my mind. It—It took everything and it—”
Donatello’s readings started to move, his heart rate climbing and his breathing becoming more rapid. Leo put a comforting hand on Don’s shell.
“Whoa, easy there, Donnie. It’s okay. Your safe now,” he said.
“It was the mind probe, though, bro,” Raph said, his voice gentle. “But the docs think you’ll recover.”
“Something about our brains being made of elastic or something,” Mikey put in.
That seemed to throw Don off of his train of thought as he shot Mikey a confused look. “…brain elasticity?” he said after a moment.
“Yeah,” Mikey said with a grin. “That’s what I said. Elastic brains.”
“Goofball,” Raph said, giving Mikey a light slap on the head.
“What he means,” Leo said, “is that the doctors said that our brains seem to be able to recover from things better than a lot of other species.”
Don hummed thoughtfully, then looked at Leo, and frowned. He glanced at all of his brothers. “I remember you,” he said quietly.
All of their smiles faltered a little, Mikey being the first to put back on a smile, even if it was a little strained. “I’d hope so, bro,” he said.
Don shook his head, then stopped with a wince. “Not like that. I mean… back there. When it was happening. I remember…” he paused, trying to think. “I remember you surrounding me. Or trying to, at least. Like how father helped me before. But different. But you were there, at least for a moment. I think… I think that’s why I didn’t give up.”
“Give up?” Leo asked, surprised. “You don’t mean…” he looked at his brothers. “Donnie, you weren’t about to…”
Don looked at them with a tired, fleeting smile. “I didn’t think I had the strength to keep fighting,” he said simply.
“That ain’t true,” Raph said. “You’ve done this twice now. I think that make you the strongest one of us.”
“I second that,” Leo said.
“Same here!” Mikey agreed.
“I wonder what they did with all of my memories,” Don said with a yawn.
“We’ll ask Traximus about it,” Leo said. “But in the meantime, we’re glad you’re back with us, Donnie.”
Don smiled and held out his other hand, giving Raph the chance to take hold, so that all three of his brothers had him in some way. “I’m glad you were there to help me.”
Leo smiled at him and gave his hand a squeeze. “We always will be. That’s what brothers do. Now rest. We’ll be home in just a couple of days.”
“We ain’t going anywhere, bro.” Raph said.
“No matter how much we all want Raph to,” Mikey teased.
Don let out a light chuckle but let his eyes slip closed. The other brothers huddled close around the bed, pulling up chairs or sleeping beside the bed, none of them willing to leave his side. They had been forced to watch him go through a torture that should have killed him. Now they would willing watch at his side as he recovered.
As Leo had said, that’s what brothers did.

i'd mentioned wanting to remove the whole "whited out eye" aspect on the turtles when their masks are on AND with the triceratons in general, so here's some experimenting with the latter!
i did a bit of poking around and found the designers for the OG jurassic park movie modeled rexie's eyes off eagle eyes (same for the sick triceratops). funnily enough: eagle and owl eyes have a very similar color range to triceraton skin (pale yellows, rich oranges and browns, and sharp reds).
for traximus and zanramon i did some loose screen-shot redraws, so i was less distracted with posing and more focused on eyes/coloring. similar with nyxram, but her redraws are from the endure comic. also removed her tattoo since i haven't redesigned it just yet. might change her iris color a smidge, too, but we'll see.
i'm quite happy with this first go! there's a bit of learning to do with the iris/pupil ratio and overall eye-shape, but i'm having fun.

Day 20: Hate
(Small draft of one of the Triceraton chapters)
Zanramon almost felt terrified. He looked it. That wasn't anger he saw. That was pure unadulterated hate. With his son's nose horn filed down and the two epoccipitals on his frill growing out and curving apart, he looked more like his mother aside from the skin color that was shades away from his own.

Review: Rise of the turtles, part 2 (TMNT 2012)
Here we go again, I know it’s been a while. Originally, I meant to get this review out during the quarantine last March but I never got to it. I got the first season on DVD during March and I thought of just watching the episodes from DVD instead of finding them online. During June I got myself a problem however: My TV broke (or more precisely: speakers broke) so I couldn’t really watch anything with any kind of audio. Now that I have my new beautiful TV, I thought nothing would be more suitable for my first watch than some TMNT.
With that, I decided to take a notepad, sit on my sofa and watch the second episode.

Continuing the last episode, Turtles realize who ever took April and her father, may have some answers to what happened to them 15 years ago so they end up interrogating Snake, the man who was driving the van. While they find out the “people” doing these kidnappings are called “The Kraang” and that they have been kidnapping scientists from the city, they don’t find out why. Snake himself doesn’t know the answer, he tells the turtles where they can find the Kraang but manages to get away from them later on. While he is listening in Leo and Raph trick him into believing they are going to use his van to drive in as they are attempting to save April and her father – which is not actually way they plan to use his van. The turtles return to the lair to gear up for their mission. Raph has a tender moment with his pet turtle while Mikey pops up and ends up being chased by Raph with spoon. While Leo is having doubts whether their plan will be a success or not, Splinter then encourages Leo by telling about his past, of how Splinter – as a man lost everything due to a feud with a former friend, Oroku Saki. While Splinter may have lost his family and his name, but he eventually gained a lot of things, like his sons. Leo not completely sure about things, he is positive they will make it through the mission somehow
In the Kraang headquarters April makes a hilarious attempt on escaping and failing at it, while Snake and the Kraang guards outside are waiting for the turtles to arrive. Turtles are on their way alright, using the van as a distraction while they themselves use a different way of transport. When the turtles have found their way inside the building, it turns out it is not something you’d see every day as the place is filled with alien robots. After a while they manage to find April and her dad, however once the turtles are about to get them out, the Kraang appeared and took both humans away. Turtles chase after them but a newly mutated Snake (later named Snakeweed by Mikey) shows up and turtles find themselves yet another battle. This leaves Donnie to save April before she’s taken away by the Kraang. While Donnie manages to save April, her father isn’t quite as lucky as he is still at the clutches of the Kraang.
In the end rest of the turtles manage to take care of Snakeweed – even though not permanently. April moves in with her aunt and is determined to get her father back somehow, the turtles (or mainly Donnie) offer their help in the matter and thus gain their first human ally. So, all is well – or as well as it can be at the moment.
Or is it?
As turtles find out, one of their shuriken ends up in the news, while turtles think it’s cool, Splinter tells them to be more careful from now on as they are mainly meant to say hidden for their own good. And he is right about that as we find out someone very sinister is seeing this very same news broadcast in Japan and plans on visiting an old friend…
What I liked about the episode:
+ Over all this was a very good episode, it had a solid plot, good pacing and great action scenes. Even that one where April tries put up a fight. I found that scene very comical and entertaining. However, my favorite fight scene had to be the one where the turtles face off newly mutated Snakeweed.
+ Speaking off Snakeweed, I’m glad we saw what his mutation process looked like. As far as I can remember I don’t think we have seen mutation scenes in previous shows, so I haven’t really payed the process much attention until now. From what I could tell the whole process was painful and it had horror-esque feel to it, so that’s a plus.
+ I know I didn’t give April much of praise on my first review and it is no secret I hate her with burning passion, but in this episode, I found myself kind of liking her character. She wasn’t someone I would go nuts over, but her personality showed off nicely. Nothing of her personality came off as forced and I liked her interactions with Donnie even though I do not ship Apritello in this version.
+ I really liked the ending, it wrapped out the episode nicely but also brought up a new threat in Shredder while not giving away too much when it comes to his appearance. This helps to keep his character as sinister as he should be.
What I didn’t like:
Honestly, I don’t think there was a thing I didn’t enjoy about this episode, and that’s a first. My only complaint doesn’t have to do with the episode itself but the way the episode was put on DVD. I’m perfectly aware this episode was meant to be one parter, but it in some releases it was presented as a two parter. I remember seeing this one as parts 1 and 2 myself when it aired in my country. I would have liked if the DVD did the same, but oh well, at least I got to watch the whole thing as it was intended.
…I don’t have lot to say about the dub Finland eventually got, simply because I don’t remember much about it. What I do remember I did enjoy Shredder’s Finnish voice. He was voiced by Jarmo Mäkinen, who voiced Valtor from Winx Club as well as Savanti Romero and Zanramon for the third season of TMNT 2003. While he didn’t have deep voice like Kevin Michael Richardson but that didn’t stop him from sounding menacing. I think Mäkinen is similar Markus Bäckman who voices Splinter in a way they sound great as villains. What I like about Mäkinen is that he is able to portray his villains (and I’m mainly talking about his interpretation of Prime leader Zanramon in the season 3 of TMNT 2003) as chill one moment and threatening the next. So, I would say he was a good pick for Shredder. Now I only wish I could have a good memory of him voicing Shredder.
And now, some screen shots!

Turtles seeing the mutagen cannister. I really love their expressions here.
Tumblr media
Raph about to do some interrogation....
Tumblr media
...In a form of mutation roulette. One of my favorite scenes in the episode. I like the glowing effect they did with the ooze here.
Tumblr media
Kraang base.
Tumblr media
“What? I can be the only one who’s hungry.” - I can relate.
Tumblr media
Everyone here: Mikey, weren’t you supposed to do something?

Tumblr media
“Were you talking to your pet turtle? That is so adorable.”
Tumblr media
Leo having some doubts. Luckily Splinter has a story to tell.
Tumblr media
Last battle between Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki. I swear from this angle young Oroku Saki does remind me of Hamato Yoshi from 2003 series.
Tumblr media
Tang-Shen with their baby daughter Miwa, during the battle.
Tumblr media
Oroku Saki starting the fire...
Tumblr media
...Which kills Tang-Shen (at least it seemed so before season two that is.)
Tumblr media
April knows her rights alright..
Tumblr media
But because the Kraang don’t care about their rights she comes up with a plan...
Tumblr media
...Buuut it doesn’t look like it’s working.
Tumblr media
“Well I guess we can just sit here..” - I must say I like coloring of their cell.
Tumblr media
Snake and some Kraangdroids waiting for turtles’ arrival.
Tumblr media
Snake mutation.
Tumblr media
Turtles climbing the wall.
Tumblr media
And they made it in. I really like they gave each turtle different eye color in this version but during action scenes they still have white eyes like in the comics.
Tumblr media
Argument between Donnie and Raph.
Tumblr media
Some alien robots.
Tumblr media
...But now they are toast.
Tumblr media
It’s a brain thing!
Tumblr media
And now it’s biting Mikey!
Tumblr media
This is what happens when you pause an episode at a random moment. Mikey looks cute though.
Tumblr media
You heard him Raph, we are going that way.
Tumblr media
Donnie manages to find April’s cell.
Tumblr media
Action with Mikey.
Tumblr media
Donnie picking the lock.
Tumblr media
“Hey, do you think it’s easy to pick a lock with these hands?”
Tumblr media
Not so fast...
Tumblr media
...Because these guys are here.
Tumblr media
And with them, more trouble arrives.
Tumblr media
Like newly mutated Snakeweed for example.
Tumblr media
April being taken away by the Kraang.
Tumblr media
Leo figuring out the plan to get rid of Snakeweed.
Tumblr media
...While Donnie is trying to save April.
Tumblr media
And now it’s April’s turn to hang in there.
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Leo in action.
Tumblr media
Snakeweed electrocuted.
Tumblr media
Turtles have gained themselves some new enemies.
Tumblr media
It’s Kraangy! ...Wait, that doesn’t happen until season 2... or 3... can’t remember.
Tumblr media
Turtles promise to help April find her father.
Tumblr media
Maybe it’s just me but I find April’s pupils creepy looking. They make her eyes look souless... at least to me.
Tumblr media
I swear Donnie has the cutest design ever.
Tumblr media
Leo talking to Splinter inside the dojo.
Tumblr media
Watching the news.
Tumblr media
Okay, who dropped this?
Tumblr media
Yay, they made it on the news!
Tumblr media
So what’s the worst thing can happen?
Tumblr media
Well there’s always this omnious person.
Tumblr media
Ending still.
Okay I admit, I may have over do it with the screen shots but they are my favorite thing about these reviews, that and getting to watch some TMNT.
So, what’s next? For now, I’m going for the third episode of TMNT 2003. Hopefully it doesn’t take as long as this post. We can always hope, right?
