(I don't think Gruell, the other All Stars, and that one mailman Triceraton will get any votes, but it would be a surprise if they do. I will question why anyone would like Gruell since he's a a**hole, though)

Could you write a scenario for 2012! Commander Mozar with a mutant darling?
Some time ago, you said that you wanted to add more horror to your stories. Well, I hope this idea is horrific enough for you. It takes place in Annihilation: Earth! Part 2 of the 2012 TMNT show. But things happen differently in this different timeline. The turtles fail like in the show, but Fugitoid never shows up to save them, causing all four of them to be consumed by the black hole. But the worst thing is that the triceratons, specifically Mozar, decided to spare the reader, a mutant, by capturing and locking them in their ship. Why exactly? Humans were all over the planet, but a mutant is special. They could serve as an exotic souvenir from the planet they just annihilated. It is a desperate situation for the reader and there is no hope of escape. They saw Splinter getting stabbed in the back, all their friends dying, the planet getting destroyed and now they're just a prize/pet for an alien commander.
Sure! I watched both episodes to know what to write for this :) Here you go!
Survivor Syndrome
Yandere! Captain Mozar with Mutant! Darling Story
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Kidnapping, Isolation, Mind break implied (Darling), Mass death, Manipulation, Dark themes, Darling has Survivor's Guilt, Dehumanization (Technically), Darling is a pet, Forced companionship/relationship.
Tumblr media
You swore if your heart beat any harder you'd die of a heart attack. Your breathing was rapid as you look around your surroundings. You were in a cell... cuffed like an animal.
Perhaps you really were just an animal... you've been one since becoming a mutant.
The memories kept echoing in your mind. The black hole, Splinter dying, being kidnapped. You grit your teeth...
Everyone's dead... not just Splinter... far as you know everyone is.
Everyone except you.
Now look at you. Stuck in a cage like some exotic animal. It didn't matter what you looked like as a mutant... The Triceratons would still deem you unique. They didn't want to let you die like the rest.
Perhaps the fate of your companions was... better than this?
You aren't sure.
"Do you still cower in your cage, creature?" A deep voice greets you, heavy footsteps standing in front of your cell. "Pardon... Mutant is the term, no?"
Captain Mozar....
You hesitantly look up, eyes catching the blue eye of the commanding Triceraton. You grit your teeth and not answer. The captain merely chuckles softly.
"You really are interesting... Hard to believe something like you was once human." Mozar hums, looking at you as you press yourself against your cell with a smile.
"I wish I was still human! That way my fate would've been like the others!" You cry, Mozar tilting his head at your sudden defiance.
"Hm... your anger is understandable." Mozar comments, leaning down to get a better look at you. "But we have plans for you... Good plans."
The Triceraton chuckles, watching as you growl at him. You were such a strange creature... unique to Earth and now the only one of your kind. Oddly enough... He felt a bit drawn to you.
"I want nothing to do with your plans. Can't you just... Toss me out the airlock?" You ask, Mozar looking unimpressed at the suggestion.
"No. Where's the fun in that?" Mozar chuckles, tapping on the cell. "You have no choice but to stay here, pet."
"... What did you just call me?" You ask, staring up at the towering alien while he watches you with intrigue.
"Well, why do you think I decided to keep you?" Mozar grins under his metal plate. "A mutant like you is exotic... a pet... you'll grow used to your new role."
You push yourself away from the cell door cage when Mozar pulls out something from behind him. You make it out to be a chain... a leash. You really were just an animal now...
A pet for Captain Mozar to enjoy.
"Best you don't fight." Mozar warns, opening the cell door. "Besides... What else do you have to fight for, Earthling?"
You feel yourself yanked out by Mozar, cold metal clamping around your neck. You pull against the leash but ultimately end up choking yourself instead. So instead... you try to stay compliant.
"There's nothing for you... except for me." The Triceraton taunts, pulling you closer by the leash so he can stare you down. "I'm all you have now, aren't I? I'm your new master... your everything."
"What if I don't comply?" You hiss, Mozar harshly pulling the leash to choke you.
"Then you'll break." Mozar threats, chuckling as you pull at your new restraints. "I either gain your obedience now... or I break you to gain it later."
The Triceraton then walks you around the room, an attempt to get you used to the leash and your new role. It felt nice to be out of the cage... but you felt yourself crumbling. His words really got to you...
All because they were indeed true.
"What's it going to be?" Mozar hums, turning back to watch you. "Will you listen to me..."
He then yanks the chain down, making you collapse harshly to your knees with a whine.
"Or will I have to break you? Your choice, pet."

damn your tricerotons are huge!
Yep! I really like the idea of the Triceratons being absolute giants!
Most Triceratons are about 10 to 12 feet tall, however many of the higher ranking Triceratons are even taller(for example, Mozar is almost 14 feet tall). Only the strongest, toughest, and biggest Triceratons command power, so the higher up the Triceraton, the more of the above are present.
They’re not quite as colossal as the Rise Triceratons, but they’re taller than the 2012 and Mirage/03 ones. Here’s a little diagram to show the height comparison:

a light himbo-squad 'lore dump' of sorts as promised. once again for context, this is post-triceraton rebellion; a small squad of rebellion soldiers who traximus had nyxram hand-pick shortly after the rebellion succeeded. plus short tidbits on those two. because i can.
traximus
serving as a commanding officer again, as well as one of the head members of the new council
not 'officially' part of the squad, but since he works closely with nyxram he's often in proximity to them
what started as a hesitant and uncertain partnership with nyxram during the rebellion has grown into a close friendship*; they find they can understand each other in ways their peers cannot
often uses council work and other new-republic work to distract himself from unprocessed, gladiator-related trauma; currently pushing to have the arena destroyed
nyxram
has self-assigned herself as traximus's on/off bodyguard, given he was the head of the rebellion and the current political climate is tense and vulnerable; additionally training him on the down-low, so he's better able to defend himself should he need to and she's not present
also serving as a temporary head of the new council; she hates every second of it
does not officially have a commanding title in the triceraton army, but is no longer serving the prime leader/throne as an assassin; her squad still refers to her as 'commander', however
after learning what happened to don during the invasion of earth, she and traximus personally saw that mozar was removed as a commanding officer and was apprehended to face the new council for his participation in the matter
grax
civilian pre-rebellion; was one of the first triceratons recruited by traximus after he returned from the battle nexus
now an ensign officer; leads the squad in nyxram's absence
was the slowest of the four to warm up to nyxram and often tried to 'drive her off', but as soon as he came around he is undoubtedly the most loyal to her
sharp-shooter archetype; a fire-arms expert who enjoys improving his arsenal as much as he enjoys improving his aim
in a very healthy/committed relationship with his spouse: xi; she's deaf, and they can both fluently speak a triceraton version of sign language
the team's hot-head, albeit you can tell a chunk of it is also just his sense of humor
i said there was one (1) functioning adult among them, and it's grax
ceron
a civilian who joined the rebellion; involved in the 'mining' or 'molding' of various pieces of homeworld, as well as maintaining the structural upkeep of the floating chunks of planet
barbarian-class archetype; relies more on melee and brute-strength in battle than guns or other tools and is the biggest on the squad in terms of mass; powerful, thick lad
tends to be monosyllabic like nyxram, but comes off friendlier; his stature is intimidating but you'll quickly learn he's a big softie
he and grax often have a stupid shooter/brawler competitiveness going on where they consistently 'disapprove of' each other's methods
in similar fashion to raph, he's usually the most vigilant on the battlefield as far as watching everyone's backs and making sure those less suited for a fight (zuron and ranzar) are safe
two of his three horns and a half of a hand have been damaged or lost in various mining/molding accidents, but he wears prosthetics; zuron has enhanced them slightly
ranzar
squad pilot; a civilian who joined the rebellion, previously a 'driver' for small-time crooks messing with the triceraton elites
missing a large chunk of his frill and has some facial/upper-body scarring due to a crash he was in during his teenage years; the accident never discouraged him from driving/piloting, and he can be a bit of an adrenaline junkie
easy-going and highly charismatic personality; enjoys picking non-fights with grax and arguing with him for the sake of arguing; tries to do this with ceron, but ceron just stares at him
despite that he was the fastest to warm up to nyxram, it's clear that he's sometimes still pretty scared of her due to her past, reputation, and skill-set
has developed a big-brother/little-brother relationship with zuron since they spend a lot of time together both on the ship and working around it; zuron laments that he should be used to ranzar's driving by now but he's just not
zuron
squad engineer and part-time medic; was likely serving his first 'year' as an engineer when he got word of the rebellion and joined; worked undercover best he could in the docking bays and helped ia set the explosives during the turtles' escape in-series
youngest member of the squad with minimal experience handling weapons or being in a fight; spends most of his time either on the main ship or in whatever shuttle ranzar is piloting; will stick to ceron like glue when he feels like he's in danger
highly friendly, very curious and eager to learn about pretty much anything you put in front of him; similar to don in this capacity but is much more extroverted and out-going than he is
is probably the least aware of nyxram's past line of work, since most of his rebellion time was spent undercover in the docking bay, but is also the least afraid to ask her about it should the need or desire arise
has a big-brother/little-brother relationship with ranzar but, unknown to ranzar, zuron did have an older sibling at one point who he lost to an illness; zuron enjoys being taught engineering tricks he didn't know (ranzar has "unofficial" workarounds to several problems) and finds a sense of familiarity in ranzar's easy-going vibe in comparison to the rest of the squad's more professional or serious energies
---*---
*traximus and nyxram are not a romantic nor intimate ship; i write trax as gay, and nyx's relationship with... relationships is complicated

~While I finish some commissions I leave you with a sketch of a little Mikey from my AU where he was raised by the Triceratons. He fought from a very young age on the battlefield. He is the adopted son of Commander Mozar. He raised him as one of the bloodiest and deadliest warriors in the arena. Here his name is ZOG. Mozar instilled in him his hatred of the Kraang and he just wants to finish them off. His personality changes when he fights or when he panics and becomes a lethal weapon.😶‍🌫️~❤️‍🔥

I wrote this lovely little scene from tmwt for funsies under the cut.
Triceratons Are Shitty to Teenage Turtle Wizards in Bows
Don's head felt fuzzy and unfocused. She took a deep breath in, aches shooting across her body as she slowly regained consciousness. They blinked for a moment, waiting for their vision to clear before jerkily lifting their head up.
Right into the scowling face of a Triceraton guard.
Don held the edge of the bench she was sitting on and reeled back, spotting two more guards on either side of her.
At the movement, one of them pointed a large blaster at her. “Stay still, terrapin.”
They flinched, then stilled, gripping the bench harder. They tried their best to look around, but didn’t find anything noteworthy. It was a simple room with a bench on either side and a door out to the rest of the place. As they were jostled, they concluded that they were in some sort of vehicle, perhaps the spacecraft that the triceratons had been trying to take April into?
Wait, where was April? Did she end up getting away?
Donnie tensed more, growing more concerned as her thoughts swirled. Where were they taking her? What did they even want with her?
she noticed that her robe had been removed, and her wand was gone.
The one across from them shifted, reaching for them, and shoving a box with a clear tube into their hands. “Put this oxygen converter into your mouth.”
After a moment of hesitation, and more worry, she did as she was told. Then there was a hiss and she tasted the change in the room's atmosphere. The guards all took off their masks and set them aside. She put the box of the converter into her belt.
After a few more silent minutes full of building anxiety, the ship stopped, jerking slightly, then settling.
Before it finished docking, the triceratons were standing, one grabbing Don's arm and pulling them up. They led them out of the room, though the ship and into a large docking bay. It was bustling with triceratons, ships coming and going, and large containers for shipments. They moved through an exit and down a wide hall, twisting and turning deeper into the ship.
When they came across the throne room, Don realized this was the mothership.
The doors were opened and  before Don was led inside, glowing pale blue cuffs were placed on their wrists, bounding them together. She entered the room one step in front of the two guards that remained with her. One of them had her robe in one hand, and her wand tucked into his belt. The other still had a blaster trained on the turtle.
Well this was not an ideal situation.
Donnie looked around the room, noticing the statues lining the aisle, portraying triceratons in battle, noble warriors and great leaders immortalized in stone. The pedestals they were raised on were draped in thick velvet and gold accents. The end of the room had a staircase, stopping halfway up it with another flattened platform before rising to a lavish throne. Behind that was an entire curved wall that showed the outside of the ship, looking over the earth in the triangular prism prison. Other tri-bases hovered around the mothership in formation as small fighters and cargo ships drifted about.
Zan-ramon was sitting on the throne, his eyes locked on the turtle as they were led up to the mid-way platform. Beside him was Commander Mozar.
They stopped, and Zan-Ramon stood, descending the staircase to meet them.
“All hail Prime Leader Zan-Ramon.” one of the guards announced and both of Don’s guards put a hand to their chest, bowing. When Donnie didn’t follow, one of them growled. “Kneel before our great leader.”
He whipped his tail around and stuck the back of one of Donnie’s thighs and the turtle cried out, falling to her knees. Their calf stung from the strike.
Zan-Ramon regarded her for a moment before pointing at her “You!”
Donnie looked around nervously before looking back up at him. “Me?”
“Finally, I can make you pay for your past crimes.” Zan-Ramon clenched his fists, stepping closer. “Helping the fugitoid escape, abusing my royal personage by holding me hostage, disgracing our honored warriors, the Triceraton All-Stars, and- and…” he raised his hand as his anger and voice grew in volume. He pointed at Donnie again, shouting “YOU STOLE MY PERSONAL SPACE CRUISER!”
The last line almost got a laugh out of donnie for how childishly it cracked, like he was throwing a fit. Donnie suppressed it and instead asked. “Did I do all that? Hm,” they smiled and shrugged. “I always was an overachiever.”
“SILENCE!” Zan-Ramon snapped and Donnie flinched. “Tell me where the fugitoid is and I may make your end a little less painful. Tell me, WHERE IS THAT ROBOT?!”
Donnie huffed. “I. Don’t. Know!”
“You defy me?” he growled, putting his hands on his hips. The warning in his tone was evident, and it wasn’t like Don was in much of a position to resist.
“No!” Donnie backtracked. “The truth is the fugitoid isn't on earth anymore. He’s gone, LONG gone!”
“No more lies!” Zan-Ramon closed the distance between them and grabbed Donnie harshly by the shoulder and lifted her up, eliciting a startled cry from the turtle. His other hand moved to hold the collar of Donnie’s shirt and bring them closer to his snout, sharp teeth, and rank-smelling breath. “We know the fugitoid is here,” He lifted Donnie higher, shaking her, and Donnie clenched her teeth to hold back another squeak. “Tell us where he is or perish!”
Donnie tried to grip his arm where it held her clothes, but was met by Zan-Ramons claws digging into her shoulders, drawing blood. She cried out again, kicking her legs. “I don’t know! He left! I swear he left!”
Zan-Ramon growled and threw them roughly, and Donnie bounced, landing on their side with a groan. They pushed themselves back to their knees, and one of the guards reached for them. She scooted back, fear settling into her stomach. These guys didn’t believe her, and she had no way of convincing them.
The guard grabbed her, pulling her to her feet and holding her there as Zan-Ramon glared at her for a moment, fuming.
“Call the Earth Leaders again.” he ordered and Mozar did just so, the screen on the wall changing to a view of the UN conference room.
Donnie’s heart dropped. It was a video call. If she ended up in it, she’d be revealed to all of the word leaders. It would put her, her brothers, and possibly magic out into the world.
And all of that would be on her, for not watching her back in enemy territory.
“Do you see?” Zan-Ramon addressed the call. “I have proof of your lies!”
He motioned for the guard who dragged a struggling donnie toward their leader. Donnies defiance was fruitless as Zan-Ramon once again grabbed them and lifted them up near his shoulder, facing the camera.
“We captured this terrapin creature on your planet.” Zan-Ramon spoke, and Donnie had grown completely stiff. “A creature I last encountered on the far side of the galaxy,” Donnie turned to see him glaring at her again “assisting the fugitives escape from the triceraton authorities.” Donnie struggled some more before Zan-Ramon pushed her forward, as if to prove his point, pressing Donnie against the camera screen. She groaned again, kicking her feet as he pulled her back. She could feel the way her arms began to tremble, the fear of the ramifications of this sinking into her bones. She looked from the camera, to Zan-Ramon, then back at the camera again almost desperately.
And as he started his next demand, he reeled Don back before tossing them aside. They couldn’t help the quiet scream that fell from their throat as they flew, slamming shoulder first into the hard ground and too close to the stairs for comfort. Pain shot through their torso from the impact and they bit down on their lip.
She laid there for a moment, not attempting to move. Maybe if they stayed still, the guards would think they were unconscious or dead and leave them alone.
“Is it dead?” One of them kicked her in the head as Zan-Ramon finished his phone call/screaming fit in the background. She shouted, drawing her shoulders and knees up to protect herself better.
“Not yet.” the other said. He reached down and wrapped his hand around her ankle, lifting her up upside down. She squirmed, trying to kick his hand loose.
“Let me go!” She demanded, trying to reach up to pry herself loose, but the second guard looped a finger through her cuffs and pulled her back down. Zan-Ramon watched the two guards dangle her for a second before ascending the stairs and sitting back on his throne.
“Where is the fugitoid?” the first guard asked again.
“I don’t- ah!” they felt the point of the second’s claws scratch into the skin on the back of their wrist. “-know! I don’t know!”
They dropped her abruptly and she saw stars as her head collided with the floor. She tried to catch her breath, but the second one picked her back up, this time by her arm, his nails piercing and drawing another cry from her.
“Put me down!” She thrashed, but his tightening hold and deepening claws ceased her movements. They felt almost frantic. No one was listening. She was telling the truth and no one was listening. They just kept throwing her around, cutting her skin, and demanding she give them a different answer. As if to accentuate her worries, the second guard lifted her chin, cutting along her jawline as she squirmed.
She saw that the first guard had her robe and wand still, tucked loosely in his belt. The second only had a blaster on one side, and a taser on the other.
She stretched her foot out, catching the taser between her toes before jamming it into the armpit of her captor. He screeched, dropping her, and she rolled, switching the device into her hands before shoving it into the hip of the first soldier. He had the same reaction, and she reached out, grabbing her wand.
The stretch sent a bolt of pain through both shoulders, and she dropped the stick. It rolled away, and when she went for it again, the second guard had recovered enough to grab her ankle, yanking. She fell to the ground, and tried to kick him, reaching with her bound hands toward the stick. It rocked a bit, before rolling to a stop just out of reach.
The first guard got back up, setting his foot on her back, covering the shell almost completely and digging more nails into the soft tissue between her carapace and plastron, poking holes in her shirt. She shouted and squirmed, still reaching for her salvation as tears formed in her eyes.
With trembling breath she spoke “accio wand.”
It twitched, attempting to roll toward her before another triceraton foot stepped on it, stopping it in its path. She looked up to see Zan-Ramons second-in-command towering over her.
She gasped, then felt a shifting fabric on her neck.
One of the tails of her bow had come unraveled and rested wrinkled over her shoulder. The other remained tied, but flopped against the back of her head with little support from its twin.
She took a deep breath through her nose as her wand was picked up and secured to the waistband of Mozar. The two guards were dismissed and they took Don’s robe with them. Why hadn’t she tried to hit it? It was stocked full of explosive potions and whatnot.
Mozar leaned down and grabbed Donnie’s wrists, lifting them above her head and once again lifting her off the ground. He did it so abruptly that Donnie’s shoulders pulsed with pain and drew another cry from her throat.
Pulling on their restraints, Donnie raised their voice. “Listen you pea-brained gecko, how many times do I have to tell you? The fugitoid is NOT. ON. EARTH.”
He growled, pulling her closer, before setting her on the ground. “Our brains may be small, terrapin scum,” he pulled, dragging her up the rest of the stairs to the higher platform with Zan-Ramon, who was watching her carefully. “But our tracking equipment does not lie.” He shoved her forward, pointing at the screen. “The fugitoids teleportation trail leads directly to your planet.”
Donnie watched the show on the screen of the trail leading to her home, and took a deep breath, trying to calm her voice. “He was on Earth, but he’s not there anymore!”
Zan-Ramon clasped his hands together in front of his snout thoughtfully for a silent moment, before slamming his hands on the arms of his throne, making Don flinch. “Then where is he?”
“I-” Donnie took a few fast breaths. Honeycutt was her friend, and the most she resolved to tell them was that he wasn’t there. She needed to find the line between protecting Earth and defending her friend. “I can’t tell you that!”
That made Zan-Ramon visibly angry. “Can’t, or won’t?!” His words were sharp and Donnies shoulders drew up defensively as she lowered her head. She huffed, glaring at the ground, and turned around, away from him.
“Very well,” Zan-Ramons voice was chillingly calm. “We have other methods of making you talk.” he motioned for Mozar, who grabbed Donnie and turned her around, forcing her back to her knees. His hand remained on Donnie’s shoulder, keeping her pinned.
He pulled a box off the small table beside his throne, opening it gingerly and pulling out an object before replacing the box.
Then he turned to Donnie, revealing what was in his hand.
A stick.
No…
Not a stick…
A wand???
The dinos have magic?
Oh god, the dinos have magic…
Donnie’s breathing quickened as she stilled completely save for the rise and fall of her chest. Her limbs felt heavy with dread as Zan-Ramon held the wand up, observing it for a moment with a smile.
Then he pointed it at her and she swore her heart stopped in terror for a moment.
“Last chance, terrapin. Tell me where the fugitoid is or you will face the wrath of my curse.”
No, no no no! This is bad. Donnie bit down on her bottom lip and clenched her eyes closed, shaking her head. That was the best defiance she could muster with the gut-wrenching horror that had come over her.
“Very well.”
There was a moment of silence.
“Crucio!”
Roaring filled her ears and fire lit up her body. It felt like every muscle, every vein was being ripped apart all at once, unceasing, indescribable pain. She thought briefly that she might be screaming, but she couldn’t hear it. She writhed, her nerves buzzing and twisting in knots.
It hurt so much, it all hurt. She wanted to go home. She wanted to go back to her brothers.
It was too much, and her spirit seemed to shift, slightly disconnected from her body as it tried to eliminate the threat of pain. It came constantly, without the capability of growing used to it.
She wanted her family.
She felt Leo, somewhere, closeby. His spirit seemed close enough to touch. She wanted him to hug her, to comfort her.
And so she reached for her, their spirits colliding desperately as Donnie screamed Leo’s name in desperation.
The response was immediate.
“Don?”
Then screaming that was not her own, and, faintly, her twin's voice yelling Leo’s name, trying to figure out what was going on, and the feeling of hot tears rolling down her face.
She couldn’t focus on Leo anymore, curling in on herself in an attempt to make it stop oh, please make it stop. The agony went on for hours, days, maybe even years.
Then, just as it had started, it stopped, and Donnie gasped, falling limply to the ground as her whole body tingled for a moment. She kept her eyes closed, imagining she was in bed, in the Room of Requirement, with all her brothers curled protectively around her.
She pressed her face into the cool ground, feeling herself shake with involuntary sobs. She pulled her arms and legs against her plastron, curling into a fetal position. She was aware of the shift in weight at the back of her head, showing the rest of her bow had come undone. She didn’t exactly have the ability to fix it and prayed that her mask would stay as it was and not fall off her face.
“Now,” Zan-Ramon’s voice pierced through her now aching head, making her whole body stiffen in response. She tried to curl up tighter. “Do you have anything you’d like to say?”
Donnie whined. She hated this, being helpless, being weak. She couldn’t go through that again, she couldn’t. But she couldn’t lead them to the professor. He was her friend.
She had to hold on, to wait until they grew bored and left her alone. But until then, she was at their mercy.
Mozar approached her, and grabbed her forearm, adding scratches to the collection of bleeding marks across her body. He lifted her up, holding her a foot off the ground. She opened her eyes slightly to see his neutral stare.
“The Prime Leader asked you a question.” He stated. “Comply or face the consequences.”
Donnie shook in his hold, her breathing picking up again as Zan-Ramon raised his wand.
“Wait-” Donnie whispered.
Both Dinosaurs stopped, raising non-existent eyebrows.
“I don’t know where he went, I just know he left with the Utrom.” Donnie felt her chest hurt at the information she was giving them, and tensed at their anticipated reactions.
But they only seemed to be confused.
“The Utrom?” Zan-Ramon glared. “I’ve never heard of such a thing.”
“Well, obviously it must be lying,” Mozar huffed. “Trying to save its pathetic shell with an excuse.”
Donnie was half relieved, thankful that they didn’t know about the Utrom. They did tend to be more secretive than other races, mainly due to their technology. The other half of her was terrified that they were insistent on getting something useful out of Donnie. What was worse was she had been telling the truth! She had no idea where Honeycutt was, just who he was with.
Donnie frantically searched for an answer, something that would ward them away from Earth. If they thought she was lying, they’d tear the Earth apart piece by piece, no doubting they had the technology. Something that would confirm that the professor was gone with no doubt.
“Can’t you-” Donnie took a deep breath, looking up at Zan-Ramon when he turned to the turtle. “Can’t you just scan for his positronic energy signature or something?”
Both triceratons looked at them for a moment before bursting out into laughter, Mozar slightly shaking Donnie as he bent at the waist. It was a mocking laugh, as if Donnie had suggested something incredibly stupid or ignorant.
Zan-Ramon composed himself, then looked at Donnie. “What kind of fools do you take us for?” when he flung his arm out dramatically, Donnie couldn’t help but flinch. “Positronic energy signatures are as common as space dust.”
Donnie shook her head. “Not on Earth! Our technology isn’t advanced enough!”
“What?!” Zan-Ramons eyes flashed with anger as he turned to Mozar. “Why was I not informed of this?!”
“Well, naturally, we just assumed-” Mozar began to defend himself but was interrupted by his angry leader.
“We Triceratons assume nothing but VICTORY!” he pointed at the screen. “Initiate positronic energy scan, NOW!”
Mozar growled, dropping Donnie to the floor on shaky legs that quickly gave out under her. He then saluted. “Yes, Prime Leader!”
He moved to the control panel typing something in and the screen switched to show the earth being scanned painfully slowly, not yet detecting a single bit of the signatures it was looking for.
Zan-Ramon watched it drag down the screen slowly, impatiently tapping his foot. Once the scan got halfway through, he became irritated. Mozar interceded. “We've scanned half the planet, sir. Not one positronic energy signature.” Zan-Ramon clenched his fists. “Maybe the terrapin was telling the truth-”
“No!” Zan-Ramon burst. “The fugitoid must be here, he HAS to be here!” He turned on Donnie. “What have you done you useless creature?”
Donnie flinched and tried to scoot back, but she was too stiff and fatigued. Zan-Ramon seized her one final time by the shoulder and the next thing she knew she felt weightless.
Then pain, this time centralized in her shell as she slammed into one of the bases to a statue, falling to the ground with no air left in her lungs. She gasped, only capable of taking small breaths. Her head spun, her headache worsening. She remained on the ground, lying on her side, pulling her knees up and her bound arms closer to her plastron.
It took a second to even out her breathing, but even then, she trembled uncontrollably, keeping her tired eyes on the two dinos across the room as they fussed over their issues, seemingly ignoring her.
She refused to close her eyes, not while they could still decide she was necessary to their endeavor, not while they could grab her again and throw her like a ragdoll.
No, she refused to just cede and allow that to happen.
But she was so tired, and everything hurt. Not like with the curse, but a prominent, pulsing ache spreading through her whole body. Her mask felt wet, as silent, cooling tears trailed over her nose.
She heard the doors to the throne room open, and though she couldn’t make out what they were saying, she heard voices. Some of them were familiar, others were not. She was aware that they started passive, but quickly turned aggressive and she tensed, wanting the capability of hiding in her shell like her non-mutated counterparts.
Then she saw flashes of green, red, and orange. Bursts of light and shouting flooded her senses, and then her vision was blocked.
“Don!” She looked up at Leo from where she laid. She looked worried as she set her hand on Don’s shoulder. “Can you hear me?”
Don smiled as best as she could, and Leo moved his hand to wipe her tears.
“Jeez, what did they do to you?” she asked quietly.
Leo was there, and so were Mikey and Raph, if the angry shouts were any indication. Her brothers had come for her.
The smile was genuine, and so was the relaxation that spread through her aching body as she allowed her heavy eyelids to shut.
“Wait, Don!” Leo’s voice raised a pitch. “Please, you gotta stay awake, we gotta get you out of here.”
The pleas fell through her ears without registering before she slipped deeper into a comfortable unconscious state. A state where, even for a moment, she could escape the pain and the fear and the weakness, and allow herself to know she was safe with her family.
~~~
Raph ran his hand up and down Don’s carapace, tapping her wand against his leg with his free hand. The two had a blanket around them as he held her against his shoulder on the spaceship ride back to Earth. He had made sure to check the various scratches on her arms and legs to make sure that none of them would bleed out in the short trip home.
For now, she was out like a light, held still by her twin as Mikey and Leo drove the ship they’d stolen (once again, the prime leader's personal space cruiser).
Don stirred, groaning a bit, and Raph set the wand in his waistband and stopped rubbing her shell, instead holding her more firmly. He lifted his other hand to hold her cheek. She was a little too warm, and it concerned him. He hoped none of her cuts were getting infected. He also felt the wetness of her mask, and pulled it down to her neck. He stroked his thumb over her puffy red eyes, frowning.
Those Dinos were lucky that Leo had needed him to carry Don, or else they’d all be missing their horns.
Don was one of the most gentle people he knew (though where her family and friends were concerned, she would still defend them to the end of her days). She didn't deserve the cuts littering her body, or whatever happened that got Leo so freaked out before. Hell, she didn't deserve to be kidnapped by psychotic giant dinos in the first place. She had only been trying to help April.
When Donnie shifted again, Raph opted to try to wake her up. He was told not to let her sleep long, since she was possibly concussed. He rubbed her shoulder, softly at first. “Hey, Don.”
Donnie hummed, and turned her head to bury her snout in Raphs collarbone.
Raph, patted her shoulder. “Don, come on. I need you to wake up.”
Somewhat jerkily, Don shook her head.
Raph pushed her back and was given a small grumble. “Sit up for me.”
Donnie rubbed her eyes, shifting so she was sitting back against the back of the bench.
“We’re back in New York, guys.” Leo called out. “How’s it going back there?”
“She’s up!” Raph called back, and checked his and Don's seat belts so that they didn’t go flying from Mikey’s spaceship landing skills. He turned back to Don. “How’re you feeling?”
She blinked slowly and looked at him, her pupils were different sizes but her breathing seemed regular, and when he checked, her heart rate was normal.
“You really gave us a scare when you blacked out, Don.” Raph placed his arms around Don’s shoulders
Don leaned her head against his shoulder and sighed.
Raph let her, but kept a careful eye on her to make sure she didn’t fall asleep. “Are you okay?”
Don closed her eyes and physically relaxed a bit, nodding again.
Raph knew she was lying.
And the next few days events wouldn’t help any.
Kind of a “what if?” question but I’m curious to know, how do you think Dani would’ve been like if she was with the Turtles, April, and Casey on there space adventure. What kind of arc would she go through, her dynamic with some of the alien characters, etc.
Tumblr media
I've had this what if idea in my mind when I started rewatching the space arc a while back, so here's what I think Dani's role would be like (so far)...
Like everyone, Dani would be very upset about losing everyone (especially Slash) and the destruction of Earth. She's in shock, maybe disbelief, when the ship time travels six months back, which means that she, the Turtles, April, and Casey have another chance to save the planet, along with their friends and family.
Her spacesuit is very similar to April's, but green. She has a space sword that is also the same color.
I think she would be with Raph and Casey when they arrive at Varanon in Beyond the Known Universe.
In The Moon of Thalos 3, Dani remembers her time with Newtralizer when she meets Mona and Sal Commander. Despite her bad experience with him, she agrees with Raph on his plan to team up with them. However, she stays with the group until the three arrive. She is a big Ramona shipper at the end!
During the Riddle of the Ancient Aeons episode, Dani gets angry at Leo, the two get in an argument which includes her accusing him of "not trusting her", just as he didn't trust Slash. She does apologize to him in the end.
Like Leo, Dani would go to the Holo room to speak to a simulator(Slash).
She does stay with April and Casey on the ship during some episodes because she's human. (the beginning of Journey to the Center of Mikey's Mind and War for Dimension X for example)
In the Evil of Dregg, while she is surprised that Mona and Sal Commander betrayed everyone, Dani was willing to give them a second chance, just as the Turtles did for her and Slash. (She's glad to be friends with Mona who is another girl that wields swords. There would be quite a few interactions between the two during that episode)
In The Ever Burning Fire, Dani and Raph watch an egg hatch into a baby alien turtle, later named Chompy Picasso. She stays with April and Casey to watch the baby while the Turtles try to get the piece of the Black Hole Generator.
In Earth's Last Stand, Dani defends the Fugitoid after he confesses. ("You gave me a chance, why can't you do the same for him?") She gets angry when Leo does a suicidal attack, but is relieved that he is alive. Later, Dani pleads to Fugitoid, asking him to come to Earth with them, but he refuses and ejects the group. Dani helps her past self fight the Triceraton soldiers while the Turtles fight Mozar. When Fugitoid takes the Black Hole Generator and sacrifices his life, Dani mourns for him deeply. Although past Dani doesn't understand what happened, she comforts her. (sort of like the scene in Multiverse of Madness with the two Wandas) After the past Turtles, April, Casey, and Dani leave with past Fugitoid, Dani finally reunites with Slash (who was also confused) and hugs him, teary eyed. She and Raph tell him that there's many stories to tell later. The ending with them walking home would be the same as the chapter in Tales of Dani (with Slash seeing Hob's shadow and remembering the night of his fight with him).
That's all I have for now.
I know I’ve had this feeling that Dan Green may have voiced Commander Mozar in my 💚🐢 series. But could I have gained enough voice detecting experience to hear Sammy voicing Zog too?
Triceratons and Federation “agreeing” to a ceasefire within seconds while whispering behind their hands to attack the other guy as soon as they have what they want as if they’re not on a screen where literally everyone can see them.
And Leonardo’s still like “crap what do.” Probably at least in part because he knows if he calls their bluff they might attack, so he has to keep stalling without doing that.
Beyond the bay part 16, What Lurks?
Summary - Leonardo assesses Mikey’s physical and mental state.
Content warnings: Medical exams, medical assessments
Everything was wrong. Wrong and so very dark. Mikey felt as if the clouds had fallen from the sky and come to settle in his mind; yet, despite the mental lag that weighed on him like lead, his body felt impossibly light, almost drifting. He had to find them; he had to find his team! But he felt like he was suffocating, like there was hundred pound weight bearing down on his chest. There was… something that he was wading through. Something that shifted and rippled and flowed around him like a cool, moving blanket.
He had to find his team. He had to get back to the mission! He had to find that mutagen and he had to find his way! And… he had to wake up…
“Ow…?” Mikey opened one eye, and then the other as he was suddenly and acutely aware of strong fingers digging into his muscles. His head was throbbing with a steady thump thump thump.
“Mike.” Donnie’s voice was breathless and urgent, but nonetheless gentle as he momentarily paused his massage in favor of more important exams.
“Ah— again with the light?” Mikey whined and raised a hand to cover his eyes as Donnie shined his flashlight in them.
Donnie returned to the painful massage. “Do you know your name?”
“Mikey…”
“Do you know where you are? Do you know what happened?” The more questions Donnie asked, the more pressing his voice became. When Mikey didn't respond, Donnie repeated himself louder and clearer.
Mikey could only sputter. He knew he should know those answers, but when he reached out to grab them, they slipped through his fingers like sand. His eyes grew wider, and he shook his head. Why couldn’t he remember?
Leonardo was there too; Mikey didn't notice him until the red eared slider moved directly in front of him and waved a hand. The motion made Mikey focus on him, though at the time there seemed to be more than one of the blue-clad ninja, like Mikey was seeing double.
Leonardo, as opposed to Donnie’s bombardment, only asked a single question. “Can you tell me who is best turtle?”
Mikey’s face wrinkled in his concentration, and then split in a grin. Now that he could remember! “Trick question, it’s me! I’m a triple threat: brains, brawns, and a dazzling personality.”
Leonardo couldn’t have smiled wider if he tried. Now that Mikey could focus better on the room around him, which slowly came back to him as the infirmary, he finally located the source of the thumping that he had thought was just in his head. He saw Donatello hanging in the background, the young mutant looking blatantly bored, like he’d rather be doing anything else at that moment. He was bouncing a tiny, purple ball against the wall, catching it, and then bouncing it again in a steady rhythm. Unlike the other turtles, he didn't seem to notice nor care that Mikey was awake; his only acknowledgement was to Mikey’s self-declaration of being best turtle.
“Well that is too bad, because I am a quadruple threat.” Donatello bounced the ball one last time, then caught it as he made his way over to the group. “Strong, funny, amusing, and hilarious.”
“Aren’t three of those just synonyms?” Donnie questioned without looking up from Mikey’s tensed muscles.
“You.” Donatello said. “I do not like you.”
“But I like the confidence!” Leonardo declared, and held out his hand to Mikey. “High three!”
Mikey was all too glad to meet the inviting gesture— that is, until his hand seemed to faze through Leonardo. Mikey frowned, and then he tried again with the same result. He missed? If Leonardo noticed Mikey’s confusion, he didn’t show any reaction to it. Instead, he grabbed Donatello’s ball, much to the grievance of his twin, and tossed it up in the air a few times.
“D’ya wanna play catch?” Leonardo offered, his smile slight and soft. He grabbed the ball between his thumb and pointer finger, showing the tiny rubber toy off to Mikey. “Might help you concentrate~”
Having something to do with his hands did help. Mikey nodded eagerly and held out the arm that wasn’t currently being assaulted by Donnie’s therapeutic rubbing. Leonardo swung his arm back and forth a few time, allowing Mikey the chance to focus before Leonardo tossed the ball with a careful swing. Mikey’s eyes followed the ball as it glided smoothly through the air, and he raised his hand to catch it. It slipped right through his hands.
Mikey blinked. His eyes pinched together as they searched and eventually found the ball on the floor rolling away from him. He missed? Again? Now he had a tight pain in his chest, one that refused to go away. A ball of discomfort and anxiety and fear that grew bigger and bigger, trying to force itself up his throat to choke him.
“Are you playing tricks?” He didn't know why his voice sounded the way it did, like a child who hadn’t yet found the confidence to speak up.
Donnie frowned at the weakness of the voice, gently cupping Mikey’s head in a hand to tilt him back and examine his throat. Mikey gave a low churr of disapproval, but didn't resist.
“No tricks!” Leonardo said, and he held up his hands as a show of surrender. He held that stance for a few seconds more before gathering the ball from where it had fallen and placing it back into Mikey’s hand. “Okay, now you pass it to me.”
Donnie backed away from Mikey to let him have space while the younger box turtle stuck out his tongue and tried his best to focus on Leonardo’s shifting figure. It was like a filter had been laid over Mikey’s vision. A filter that made Leonardo seem as if he were in constant, blurred motion and made his voice like something at the end of a cavern.
“Whenever you’re ready.” Came the echo of Leonardo’s voice, so distant and lost to Mikey’s ears. The tunnel was so dark, and the sewage was up to his knees and uncomfortably warm. He breathed, but it burned so he did it as little as possible. For the republic, he had to keep moving. Mutagen was fuel, mutagen was life, and there was mutagen in this dark place. He just had to get back to Commander Mozar and find it. Mozar would know what to do. He was hand-picked by the prime leader himself!
There was someone calling his name. His commander? No, someone more familiar, more like a brother. Zog? No… no that wasn’t it either.
“Leon…?” There was a slick, cool hand pressed over Mikey’s forehead.
“Hey, bud.” Leonardo said, and he was smiling; Donnie’s face was turned into a tight frown. “You zoned out for a sec. All good?”
“Head hurts…” Mikey swatted Leonardo away and tried to sit up.
“Hey hey hey hey!” Leonardo didn't let Mikey get very far, “Easy. You need to lay now.”
“No… no we need to find him!”
Leonardo cocked his head. “Find who?”
“I… him!” Was all Mikey could offer, “He’s scared and alone.”
“Where is he?”
“I… I don’t know!” Mikey knew he should know but he didn't, and in retaliation against his own mind he began to repeatedly strike himself right between his eyes. Donnie intervened before he could hit himself more than twice, forcing Mikey to lower his arm but only making the box turtle more frustrated.
“Mikey, take it easy.” Donnie tried, but Mikey didn't seem to care about doctor's orders. He started to try and resist Donnie’s efforts to keep him still. “Little help here?”
Leonardo was hesitant to lay a hand on the thrashing Mikey, but when he finally found a hold, he pressed down firmly on the older turtle. His attempt to restrain the mutant wasn’t very effective, and when Mikey was able to stand, Leonardo pulled back and simply let Mikey leave while Donnie kept trying to stop him.
“Ge’ off!” Mikey shook his shoulders trying to dislodge his brother.
“Mikey, what—?” Donnie was unrelenting.
“GET OFF!”
Mikey got as far as the doorway before he was picked up around the middle and carried back inside by Raphael, holding the shinobi like he was nothing more than a child throwing a tantrum. He laid Mikey back down on the bed and Donnie skirted around the snapping turtles shell, grabbing Mikey’s arm to keep him still while Mikey tried to shake the grabbing hands off of him.
“Mikey, if you don't stay down I’m gonna have to strap you down.” Donnie said with a voice even and placid.
“What happened?” Raphael’s lips pulled into a frown, his hand going down to feel Mikey’s forehead.
“I don’t know, he just freaked out.” Donnie said calmly. He ran his hand across Mikey’s cheek and made soft, shushing noises intended to sooth. “How is Yoshi?”
“Yeah, he uh… he’s fine.” Raphael said absently, his head nodding along with his words, “Just hate to think how long he was alone for…”
“Mikey, do you know where dad went?” Donnie asked softly; Mikey seemed calmer now, no longer resisting his bedrest, but his teeth were still bared to show his discontent. Donnie sighed. “Guessed not.”
Raphael laid a hand on Donnie’s shoulder and prompted the box turtle to look up at him. “He can’t have gone far. Maybe he just wanted to explore a bit.”
“He wouldn’t just leave your father here alone.” Donnie sighed, shaking his head.
“You’re probably right.” Raphael admitted. “Your Leo’s probably going crazy.”
Donnie closed his eyes and, ever so slowly, leaned his head back as he sucked a deep breath through his nostrils. Then he lowered his head and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to nurse a growing migraine.
“I’ll go talk with him. Can you sit here with Mikey?”
“Of course.” Raphael said with a patient nod, sitting beside the bed and resting a hand over Mikey’s plastron.
Donnie left the two younger turtles in charge of his brother while he left the room in search of the oldest. He first found Michelangelo and Raph in the exercise room; the massive box turtle practically had steam rising off of his muscles from the heat of his body, slick with sweat and eyes focused determinedly on the ceiling above him as he worked his reps. Michelangelo wasn’t exercising, but he seemed to be having a good time hanging onto the bar while Raph lifted it so he could dangle and swing like a monkey. Donnie felt his migraine only worsen as he slumped against the doorframe, rubbing his eyes with enough force to make stars dance in his vision.
Raph had been in that same spot since they had made the discovery of their fathers absence several hours before, and Donnie could practically smell the frustration and understand it too, because he felt the exact same way. He needed to go and find his father before something awful happened, but he couldn’t leave with a clear conscience with Mikey in the state he was in. When it came to the choice of which was more important to him…
Donnie shook his head. Mikey would always come first. He and his brothers had agreed on that when they were little, and that agreement would live as long as they did. Splinter was strong and Splinter was capable, and right now Mikey needed them more. All of them.That didn't make the worry for his dad any less burning.
“You gonna say something?” Raph’s voice rumbled, “Or just stand there starin’?”
Donnie laughed, but it was a half-hearted and weak laugh. He shook his head and didn't bother to answer the question verbally. He simply walked into the room to stand over Raph; the middle child didn't pause his reps, not even for his brother.
“How’s Mike?” Was Raph’s next question.
Donnie almost naturally reached out an arm so that Michelangelo could climb onto him, and Michelangelo was more than happy to do just that. He swung on his friends arm with happily, monkey-like giggles while the other brothers retained composure and hardly reacted to the childish games.
“Awake.” Donnie said, “Confused. Raphael and the other Leonardo are with him now.”
“Good.” Raph kept pumping, eyes focused.
Donnie sighed. He carefully picked Michelangelo off of his arm, one of his hands enough to completely engulf the box turtle's plastron, and placed him on the ground. He stepped over the smaller mutant and grabbed Raph’s bar, yanking it pointedly from Raph and replacing it on its shelf. Raph’s eyes sharpened, snapping to Donnie and ready to give him hell before he saw the icy, cobra look in Donnie’s eyes. Instead of yelling, or saying anything, Raph simply sat up and shouldered his way past Donnie. They didn't need to exchange words for Donnie to know where Raph was headed.
Donnie shook his head once more before grabbing Michelangelo, who had his arms up asking to be held. He carried Michelangelo the rest of the way back to the infirmary; Raph was there, kneeling on the ground beside the bed and holding Mikey’s hand in his. He was talking slow and soft words to his youngest brother, words Donnie couldn’t make out, but the intent was there. Donnie plopped Michelangelo down on the floor and turned back around, leaving the rest of his family and continuing his search for Leo.
He found his eldest brother in the zen room; the room itself wasn't very well-maintained, once teal paint peeling off the walls and plants that were either overgrown and swallowing the walls of the room or dead at the root. The dead ones were the fault of none— being so low in the sewer, access to any sort of sunlight was a scare rarity that growing such plants were always difficult. For the rest of the plants, it was sheer neglect that led them to grow as immensely overpowering as they had, seeking any glint of light to sustain them. Leo sat in a lotus position in front of a green pool, just as neglected and forgotten as the plants, though it seemed to be from natural deterioration and not any contamination from the sewage around them.
“Hello Donatello.” Leo said without bothering to open his eyes or drop his position. “How is Michelangelo?”
“He’s okay.” Donnie sat beside his brother; his long legs weren’t built for the lotus position, so he just sprawled out and got comfortable. He had the feeling he was going to be here for a while. “Are you?”
Leo took his time to consider the question, rolling potential words around on his tongue before he settled for something that felt right. “I am dealing, considering. If Michelangelo is well, then we should think about going after father. Is that why you’re here?”
“Yeah.” Donnie nodded, “Everyone’s sitting in with Mike to keep him company.”
Leo nodded slowly and finally opened sapphire eyes. “Then perhaps just us two should go. Let Raphael and our friends stay here with Mikey. We can move faster on our own.”
Donnie couldn’t help but agree with that, but there was still a twinge of doubt that refused to be ignored. “These aren’t our sewers, Leo. We should bring at least one of the Hamato’s to lead the way.”
Leo considered. “Alright. We’ll take the other Leonardo then. Perhaps his sense of direction is as good as mine.”
Leo’s sense of direction had always been advance, far more than his brothers. You could place him in the heart of a maze and within minutes he would be able to find his way back out again. He knew he would be able to navigate these sewers even with what little knowledge he had of them, but Donnie’s anxiety was never something to ignore. Leo took a final, sharp breath before standing, inclining his head ever so slightly toward his brother.
“Let’s go now. No time to waste.”
“But— but Leo, we can’t take both me and Hamato Leo, we need a medic here in case Mikey has another fit.” Donnie reasoned.
“Fine, then we’ll take the other Donnie.” Leo decided promptly, waving for his brother to follow. Donnie obeyed.
“What about other Raph? It might help to have some extra muscle if we find ourselves in a pinch.”
“Uh.” Leo looked down at his bicep and, just for good measure, he flexed to make the muscles more defined.
“You know what I meant.” Donnie’s eyes rolled, but he pursued the issue no further. There was very little time to do so even if he wanted, because already they were entering the med bay.
Mikey had his eyes closed, lips pulled down in a tight frown as he stretched his head back as far as his neck allowed. Despite the position, Donnie knew he wasn’t asleep; he knew his brother too well to assume such things. All eyes turned to them as the two entered, and both older Splinterson’s could feel the shift in energies tingling their skin.
“What’s up?” Leo asked.
Donnie’s instinct was to immediately go to Mikey, doing a quick check of his vitals and finding them as steady as they had been when he left. Donatello seemed to be the only one of the turtles who wasn’t entirely on edge, taking the time to yawn and stretch before pulling out his phone and pulling up an article. He held his phone out where the older brothers could see that it was a current article posted just hours before, the headline bold enough to catch anyone's attention.
Secret of the Sewers: The End of an Era
At the United Nations building, all of the world leaders were in a panic over Zanramon's threats. His latest warning, as well as the decrease in their time limit had them all pulling their hair out. As all the leaders were yelling and shouting out ideas, a lone man in a business suit and shades stepped forward. Adjusting his black tie, he walked into the center of the room, all of the leaders quieting as he did.
"Ladies and gentlemen, now is not the time to devolve into primitive hysterics." he insisted. "My name is Agent John Bishop. I am a member of the Earth Protection Force."
"And what exactly has your 'Protection Force' done to combat this alien threat?" The French representative demanded.
"We are doing everything we can to maintain peace in the city." Bishop reassured. "I have my best field operatives on the case, even as we speak."
"And what of these strange creatures?" the United States President questioned. "These… 'Gamarons'?"
Before Bishop had a chance to answer, the large video screen that dominated the room suddenly crackled to life, displaying the face of a livid Prime Leader Zanramon. All of the World Leaders gasped in fright, but Agent Bishop remained unfazed. He faced the screen, adjusting his glasses.
"Prime Leader." he greeted. "I'm assuming your forces have yet to locate your targets."
"I have not." Zanramon replied. "And your time is running out. So I suggest you hand them over, before I reduce your planet to stardust!"
Suddenly, something struck Zanramon on the side of the head, knocking him to the side. The camera suddenly tilted sideways, the feed cutting off. Everyone stared at the screen in confusion, but Bishop merely smirked.
"About time." he let out.
...
Zanramon slowly picked himself up off the ground, looking down at what had struck him. His eyes widened when he saw it was a familiar metal fan.
"They're here!" He let out. "Find them!"
A group of troops nodded as they spread out to search the area. While Zanramon's back was turned, a large figure darted past, taking the tessen back before disappearing into the shadows of the room. The soldiers continued looking around for any trace of their assailants, but found nothing. Suddenly a shadowy figure darted behind them and struck one of them in the back of the head, knocking him out. Said figure then grabbed the downed soldier by the ankles, dragging him into the darkness.
"Did you hear something?" One of the soldiers questioned.
"I think so." another soldier replied.
Both soldiers were then forced to head-butt one another, knocking each other out before they too were dragged into the darkness. Only two more soldiers remained, and having lost track of their compatriots, they were beginning to feel on edge. Commander Mozar observed the scene, letting out a growl.
"Prime Leader, we need reinforcements." he insisted. "We can't afford to let these creatures win."
"Very well." Zanramon relented before activating his comms. "All additional forces to the communications chamber! Repeat, all additional forces to the communications chamber!"
...
Having heard the call, most of the Triceratons in the lower levels were making their way towards the communications chamber. After a few minutes, the sound of footsteps died down and the hallways emptied. This was when a large manhole cover slid away, allowing Traximus to climb out. He glanced down the hallway, checking for stragglers before turning back to the hole.
"All clear." he announced.
Once given the go ahead, Lisa, Monza Ram, and the rest of the Resistance fighters climbed out of the sewer. They kept close to the wall, moving on Traximus' signal towards the armory.
"No doubt there will still be guards on duty." Monza Ram whispered. "Be ready."
Lisa merely primed her laser gun, putting herself on one side of the door as Traximus took the other. After exchanging nods, Traximus opened the door to reveal a group of about seven Triceratons scattered throughout the room. The two quickly entered the room and started shooting at them, taking them out. About three fell before the remaining four began to return fire, forcing Lisa and Traximus to take cover. The four soldiers fired upon them relentlessly, not giving them even the slightest opening.
"Rakkan hell!" Lisa cursed.
That's when Monza Ram and the All-Stars entered, returning fire of their own. They wasted no time shooting down three of the four remaining Triceratons with relative ease. The last Triceraton looked at his opponents, as well as Traximus and Mona Lisa, then promptly dropped his weapon and raised his hands. Traximus snorted.
"A wise decision." he commented.
Mona Lisa kept her gun trained on the guy as Monza Ram moved across the armory. He approached a small crate off in the corner, lifting the lid to reveal a palm scanner.
"This is how we get in." he announced, turning back towards the captive soldier. "Open the way for us."
The Triceraton nodded before placing his hand on the scanner, opening the door. As the door opened up, Lisa ushered the captive Triceraton towards a closet where the rest of the guards were being put. He willingly stepped inside as the door was shut, locking with a pneumatic hiss.
"How many will be down there?" Lisa questioned Monza Ram.
"At least four." he answered. "One to man, three to guard."
"We take the guards first." Trax deduced. "Then we focus on the one manning the cannon."
"Once we disable the men, how do we stop the cannon?" Lisa asked.
One of the all-stars smashed open a box, pulling out a collection of Triceraton detonators.
"We destroy it." he answered.
Lisa nodded as the group went out.
...
Back with the turtles and their friends, they continued to move in the shadows to avoid detection by the Triceratons. This was difficult with Hisako just barely there and being carried by Leatherhead. Thankfully, the crocodile was excellent at playing the part of the silent hunter. He kept Hisako close as he skulked in the darkness, staying out of the reach of their alien pursuers. Splinter and Murakami stayed close to one another, the former aiding the latter in remaining unseen. Casey stuck close to the ground, a stolen shock staff in his hands as he waited for an unfortunate victim to cross his path.
About that time, reinforcements arrived, pouring into the room. Mozar gave silent orders, having them fan out and scan the room. The new soldiers watched each other's backs, making sneak attacks nearly impossible.
"That's a lot of Triceratons." Raph hissed.
"We're gonna have to move fast to take them down." Leo responded.
"Keep it stealthy my brothers." Mikey told them. "We got th-"
Suddenly, a laser blast struck the ceiling where he was hanging. It started him, causing to let go of his holding with a yelp. He fell down into the open, right into the middle of a bunch of waiting Triceratons.
"Uh… hey everyone." Mikey waved sheepishly.
The Triceratons aimed their weapons at the turtle as the others leapt out of their hiding places to fight the Triceratons head on. Donny swung his staff at a Triceratons face, causing him to stumble back. Raph jammed his sai into the barrel of another's gun, wrenching it from his grip before freeing his weapon and kicking the Triceraton aside. Leo sliced a Triceratons gun barrel clean off as Mikey ran up, leapt off Leo's shell, and kicked the Triceraton right in the face, knocking him to the ground.
"Yeah, Goongala!" Casey cheered, jamming his shock staff into the gut of a Triceraton before twirling it around and hitting another. "Time for the hunters to become the hunted!"
"You heard him, Leatherhead." Hisako grinned, holding onto the croc's back with one arm and drawing her tessen with the other. "Let's show these things whose boss!"
Leatherhead barreled out and proceeded to slash and maim every Triceraton in sight. Hisako's tessen went out in an arc, striking any attempted snipers hiding in the shadows.
"Woo!" she cried out. "Even running on fumes, I still kick shell!"
"Way to go, sis!" Raph cried out, elbowing a Triceraton in the face.
Splinter meanwhile, was holding his own against the Triceratons quite well. Striking the alien warrior at key nerve points caused them to go stiff as boards, falling over like dominoes. Murakami was having similar results, dodging and weaving the loud, hulking beasts with ease.
"If only the Yakuza had been this loud and gangly." Murakami quipped. "Perhaps the true Foot Clan would have managed to wipe them out."
"If only!" Splinter called back.
As the fight continued, Mozar and Zanramon observed the fight with a mixture of contempt and anger.
"How are these off worlders defeating the best soldiers in the Triceraton army?!" Zanramon demanded.
"The Gamarons and the humanoid have proven valiant warriors in the past." Mozar reminded.
"They are pathetic, worthless scum of the universe!" Zanramon shrieked. "I want them destroyed in the next cycle, or you'll join them on the execution block!"
"Y-yes sir!" Mozar replied.
Grabbing a gun for himself, he ran into the fray.
...
Back with Traximus and his team, they were enduring an incredibly tense elevator ride down to the Decimator Cannon. Lisa glanced over at Monza-Ram and the rest of the All-Stars, clearly conflicted about how she felt about them. She gripped her weapon, as if contemplating whether or not to use it. Finally, the elevator stopped, opening up to the control center for the Decimator Cannon.
"We need to move fast." Monza-Ram informed the group. "Even with the off worlder's distraction, it will not be long before our efforts are noticed."
"Just tell us where to plant the charges." Lisa replied coldly.
"Right." Monza-Ram replied, focusing up. "Follow me."
The group followed him, planting the charges wherever Monza-Ram directed them. Thankfully, the job was a quick one.
"Charges planted." Traximus reported. "How are things on your end, April O'Neil?"
"All charges are linked up to the set-up down here." April reported over a comm link. "I'll be ready to detonate on your signal."
"Good, then it is time we leave this place." Traximus declared.
The team quickly made their way towards the elevator. As they tried to make their escape, the doors opened, revealing a squad of Triceratons.
"Seems the Commander was right." One spoke up. "The off worlders were a distraction."
"Take them all." another ordered. "We'll make them all squeal."
The Triceratons opened fire, causing the team to scatter. One of the All Stars managed to tackle Lisa out of the way, but she just shoved him off.
"I don't need your help!" She insisted, opening fire on the Triceratons.
Blaster fire zipped back and forth, pinning the team down and not giving them very much options. Laser fire was traded between both groups, neither getting lucky enough to hit the other. Traximus was becoming increasingly frustrated by this turn of events, and part of him feared that one stray shot would set of the bombs prematurely. He ducked out from his position and fired off a few shots, actually hitting one of the Triceratons before ducking back.
"We need to make for the elevator!" he shouted.
"Well there are a dozen enemy Triceratons between us and it!" Mona Lisa snapped, peeking out and letting off a shot before retracting once more.
"We need a way to clear our path!" Monza-Ram proposed.
Two All Stars both popped up, letting loose a volley of fire at the enemy to try and do just that. The Triceratons moved towards the corners of the entrance, allowing a small opening for the team to escape. Mona Lisa went for it first, alerting the enemy to their ploy.
"They're making a break for it!" One shouted.
"Not for long." another retorted.
He leveled his gun with Lisa, firing a shot. Monza-Ram saw the blast and moved on instinct. He was struck in the stomach by the blast, crying out in pain as he fell.
"Monza-Ram!" One of the All-Star's shouted.
Lisa turned to the downed Triceraton in shock. Her surprise at his actions allowed the Triceratons to surround them, their guns aimed at her and the downed Monza-Ram.
"All of you will surrender, or these two will be the first to die!" One of the enemy Triceratons swore.
Lisa sneered at the Triceraton, then her eyes glanced down at Monza-Ram. Despite her earlier confliction, she found herself pained by his condition. She looked over at Traximus, reluctant acceptance in her eyes.
"Do it." she said quietly.
Begrudgingly, Traximus tossed down his weapon and raised his hands in surrender. Lisa did the same as the Triceratons took them prisoner. The other All-stars followed suit as the enemy Triceraton opened a communication line.
"Commander Mozar, this is Trooper Zog." he reported. "We've captured the rebel leader and his forces. What are your orders?"
"Bring them to Prime Leader Zanramon." Mozar ordered. "He will decide their fate along with the Gamarons."
...
Back with the fight, despite the increased number of Triceratons, the fight was starting to go in favor of the good guys. Raph leapt into the air and brought his foot down on top of a Triceraton's head, knocking him out. Leo did a handstand, split kicking a pair of Triceratons before flipping back onto his feet. Mikey leapt onto the back of one and pulled on its horns, causing it to thrash around trying to get the turtle off. Casey was doing the same thing, and the two quickly made their Triceratons bash into one another, hopping off at the last second before sharing a high five.
Donny dodged around several blaster shots before extending one of his blades and stabbing it into the Triceratons blaster. He then wrenched it out of the Triceratons hands before smacking it across the face. Splinter ran towards a Triceraton and leapt into the air, kicking it in the chest and knocking it into a wall. Splinter then threw his walking stick at another oncoming Triceraton, disorienting it so he could come up and strike it in the head, knocking it out.
Murakami stood in the middle of a group of four Triceratons, effortlessly dodging and weaving to avoid their blows. One tried to punch him and he grabbed the arm, flipping the alien dino over his shoulder and into another. The other two were easily dealt with via a well times double kick counter. Leatherhead was tearing into one Triceraton after another, Hisako on his shoulders. Her strength was back, so she flipped off of him, throwing her tessen in wide arcs. They disarmed several of the soldiers, leaving them easy pickings for her crocodile boyfriend.
"Nice to have you back in action, sis." Raph replied, punching out a Triceraton.
"Good to be back." She replied, getting her tessen back. "I hate being laid up like that."
The two then returned to the fray, knocking out a few more Triceratons along the way. Still watching all of this, Zanramon's already limited patience was coming to an end.
"My finest warriors… beaten by these offworlder… ingrates!" He exclaimed. "How is this possible?!"
"It matters not." Mozar assured him. "This fight is ours."
Zanramon turned to see Traximus and his team being lead into the room cuffed up. The turtles and Hisako froze, Casey, Splinter, and Murakami all doing the same.
"Lisa!" Raph cried out before turning to Mozar. "You even think about hurting her, and heads are gonna roll!"
"That depends on you, Gamaron." Zanramon replied. "Stand down now, or your comrades suffer the consequences."
The soldiers holding their allies prisoner all aimed their weapons, making it quite clear what those consequences would be. Raph glared intensely at the Triceraton Prime Leader, wanting nothing better than to take him out. Reluctantly though, he dropped his sai. Everyone else dropped their weapons as well, even Master Splinter and Casey. Zanramon grinned.
"Take them all, and prepare another camera." He ordered. "I'll execute all of these miserable creatures as an example to all who cross the Triceraton Republic!"
"But sir," Mozar spoke up. "What about a right to trial?"
Zanramon turned on Mozar, grabbing him by the front of his uniform.
"Are you questioning my orders?" He snarled.
"N-no sir." Mozar replied. "I just… want to see these creatures face true justice."
"I decree that they are to be executed." Zanramon snapped. "THAT is true justice! They, and all of their traitorous, rebel filth will be destroyed! Now do as I say, or join them!"
"... yes, sir." Mozar relented.
He gestured to the men, who grabbed the turtles and their allies, cuffing them and leading them off.
...
Sometime later, all of them were lead into the throne room, getting dropped to their knees in a long row. Monza-Ram's stomach wound had been given a temporary patch, Zanramon determined to make him live to see his proper execution. Traximus looked up at Mozar, just watching all this take place.
"Why are you just standing there?" Traximus questioned. "You know this isn't right."
"I have my duties Traximus." Mozar told him. "I cannot disobey the Prime Leader."
"You know that he has corrupted our once great republic." Traximus insisted, struggling to his feet before he was forced back down by guards.
"I do what I must." Mozar replied. "Just like all those years ago."
"All those years..." Leo repeated, remembering what Traximus had told them back when they first met. "You. You're the one who sold him out!"
"My duty is to the republic, and whoever may be in command of it." Mozar told him.
"And how long until that republic goes against everything you believe in?" Leo challenged. "Will you still blindly follow orders?"
"Silence, Gamaron!" One of the guards snapped, hitting Leo on the back of the head with his gun.
"Leo!" Raph let out.
"Sis, can't you Dark Phoenix us out of here?" Mikey questioned.
"I'm physically better, but my mental powers are running on fumes." Hisako replied. "I could barely levitate a paperclip."
"Terrific." Donny dreaded. "And the cameras will be rolling any minute now."
"Making this the… second worst capture we've ever had." Mikey commented.
"Not a consolation Mikey." Raph replied.
"Do not lose hope, my children." Splinter told them. "Not all is lost."
"I hope you're right Sensei," Donny replied. "I hope you're right."
Back at the U.N., world leaders were all still talking amongst themselves, Agent Bishop trying to maintain order. Unfortunately, everyone was starting to lose patience as more time passed and the Triceraton ships remained in the sky.
Everyone," He spoke up. "Everyone, just calm down."
"You told us that you had your best agents on this case!" The Japanese Ambassador exclaimed, slamming his palm on the table.
"And they are, I assure you." Bishop confirmed. "We just need to be patient."
"This Zanramon's time limit has nearly reached its end!" The German ambassador pointed out. "If this situation is allowed to escalate-!"
That's when the screen began flickering once more. Zanramon graced the screen with a sinister grin on his face.
"Creatures of this backwater planet, I have great news for everyone."
He stepped out of the camera, showing off all of the captives lined up, ready for execution. Everyone in the U.N gasped, terrified mutters and shocked whispers of disbelief flitted through the Ambassadors. Bishop's gaze remained unreadable, but his eyes narrowed and his fists clenched.
"The Gamaron fugitives who have eluded me in the past have finally been captured." He declared, the camera panning to show everyone. "More than that, I have captured the rebel scum that has plagued my system for far too long! Now, I will finally rid myself of this pestilence, and have given your planet the honor of witnessing Triceraton justice."
The guards behind each prisoner readied their weapons, guns aimed right at their heads. All of the turtles flinched, Hisako beginning to tear up. Traximus, however, remained bold. He didn't flinch at the gun to his head, just staring at the Prime Leader with a proud look on his face.
"You truly believe you have beaten us?" Traximus questioned.
"You stand to be executed for crimes against the Triceraton Republic." Zanramon replied. "You and all your allies have been captured."
"Not all of them." Traximus corrected. "Now O'Neil!"
From her spot down in the Rebel headquarters, April slammed her hand on the fire button, setting off the charges in the Decimator Cannon. The charges went off, blowing the cannon and starting a chain reaction that began spreading through the entire Triceraton Home world.
"Whoa, guess we should have known blowing up a planet destroying weapon would have devastating effects." April realized.
She ditched her post, running for the exit as everything began to shake.
From the throne room, massive earthquakes began shaking everything and everyone inside. The Hamato Siblings took advantage of the chaos to get to their feet, jumping over their bindings so their hands were in front of them. They then spun around and kicked the guards holding them in the stomach. The guards doubled over, allowing them to dispatch them with ease. Donny managed to grab some keys off one of the guards, allowing him to free himself, and the others.
"The Decimator Cannon must have been linked to the power center of the entire Home world!" He rationalized. "This entire place is coming down on top of us!"
"We gotta get out of here!" Mikey yelled.
Upon hearing this, Mozar immediately grabbed his comm.
"All units, get to your escape crafts!" He ordered. "Repeat, get to your escape crafts!"
Everyone began scrambling to escape, rebels and loyalists alike. One rather violent quake shook the room, dropping a piece of the ceiling. Mozar saw it was aimed at the Prime Leader and reacted on instinct, shoving him out of the way. The resulting rubble fell on top of Mozar, trapping him underneath. He cried out in pain as Zanramon got to his feet.
"Prime Leader..." Mozar wheezed. "Help me..."
Zanramon just ignored Mozar's pleas and bolted. However, his cries did not go unheard. Traximus looked over, seeing his former friend trapped. He paused running, intercepting Leatherhead.
"Leatherhead, I beg you to help me." he requested, pointing over at Mozar.
"Why should I?" Leatherhead asked. "He sought... to hurt us. To hurt Oracle."
"He was my friend." Traximus begged. "And no one deserves to be left to die."
Leatherhead softly growled in response, knowing that he had a point.
"Very well." Leatherhead relented.
The two then got to work, clearing the debris and helping Mozar to his feet. Mozar looked at them both in shock.
"Why…?" he questioned. "Why would you-?"
"No time for sappy explanations!" Mikey shouted. "We gotta get off this hunk of rock!"
"Anyone thought of exactly how?" Raph asked.
"The prime leader's personal hanger is the closest." Mozar answered. "It may be your only chance!"
"Then let's book!" Leo called out.
...
Zanramon ran to his personal cruiser, rushing into the pilot's seat. He was just preparing the launch sequence when he heard the sound of a laser gun being powered on. He then felt the barrel of said gun against the back of his head.
"I wouldn't if I were you." April warned. "I'm just itching to pull this trigger."
Zanramon slowly turned around and saw her standing there, wielding a large laser gun and aiming it right at him.
"Do you honestly believe you intimidate me?" Zanramon asked.
April shot the ground just centimeters from his foot. He stepped back on instinct as she leveled it with his head again.
"Next one will be higher." she warned.
Zanramon relented and held his hands up. April just smirked as the others came running onto the ship. Casey went wide-eyed when he saw the scene before him.
"April..." he let out. "Did you-?"
"Pick your jaw up off the ground, Casey." April told him. "We need to get out of here."
"You got it." Casey replied. "Anyone know how to fly this thing?"
"I can." Traximus spoke up.
He went to the controls, resuming the powering sequence before pulling the ship out of the Triceraton Home world. He then hit the throttle, causing them to jet out at breakneck speed just as the explosions got more and more violent. The cruiser joined an entire armada of other escape vehicles as the entire Home world exploded in the air. Everyone looked out the windows and watched the Home world reduced to dust floating in space.
"Well..." Raph let out. "That happened."
About that time, the cruiser's communications array started squawking, the various scattered ships trying to get in contact with the Prime Leader.
"Mozar, tell them to take this ship." Zanramon ordered. "I want these… these… insolent creatures destroyed."
Mozar's good eye narrowed and he walked towards the communication array. Leo went wide-eyed, moving to intercept. However, Hisako put up and arm, stopping him as Mozar activated communications.
"This is commander Mozar to all ships…" Mozar spoke up. "The Prime Leader is no more."
...
The personal cruiser landed on another one of the Triceraton land masses surrounding earth.
"So, now what?" Mikey asked.
"I have already put in a call to the army on board." Mozar explained. "Once they heard of Zanramon's cowardly act, they turned against him in an instant."
The former prime leader let out a snarl, struggling in the grip of two All Stars.
"They'll make sure he faces justice for his crimes." Mozar promised. "All his crimes."
The doors to the cruiser opened and a platoon of soldiers met them there. They marched towards Zanramon and took him into custody. A few more came and started tending to Monza-Ram, the patch starting to wear out. With their enemy gone and their friend getting the medical care he needed, it was time to discuss some serious matters.
"So what's gonna happen to the Triceratons now?" Leo asked.
"They will need a new leader." Murakami spoke up. "Without proper leadership, there is little chance of rebuilding their Republic."
"The blind one speaks true." Traximus agreed before turning to Mozar. "Who will they turn to?"
"You." Mozar told him. "There is none I can think of possessing more honor and integrity than you, should you accept."
Traximus was stunned by the suggestion.
"You should take it." Monza-Ram spoke up. "I will happily accept you as Prime Leader."
"As will we all." One of the All-Stars declared.
"You got our vote." Mikey chimed in.
"Mine as well." Lisa spoke up.
Traximus admittedly was surprised by all the support he was receiving. Eventually, he straightened up, meeting their eye.
"While I am honored by the nomination, I believe it is time for the true republic to return." he declared. "I will rebuild the council, so no single Triceraton will ever sit on the throne of our people again."
"I will aid you in this." Mozar promised. "If you will allow."
"It would be an honor to work by your side once more, old friend." Traximus allowed.
Mozar smiled at the prospect.
"Thank you, my friend." Mozar replied.
"But what about the turtles and their allies?" Mona Lisa questioned.
"Us?" Leo questioned. "We go home and face the music."
"Yeah, so much for our days of being New York's dirty little secret."
"I am sorry your lives have been altered so much because of our world's meddling." Traximus apologized. "I wish we could make it up to you."
"Perhaps they could stay as citizens of the Triceraton Republic." Mozar suggested. "They'd be welcomed as heroes for freeing us from Zanramon's tyranny."
"We are humbled by your offer, but we must decline." Splinter said with a bow. "Our home is on Earth, and we are its protectors."
"Then perhaps you could use a protector of your own." Lisa spoke up.
"You… you wanna stay?" Raph asked in surprise.
"There is nothing for me here but bad memories and sorrow." Lisa replied before taking his hand. "On your planet, I see hope, and a chance for a new life with someone I care for deeply."
Raph smiled at the idea as Mikey leaned in close.
"She's talking about you." Mikey joked, causing Raph to shove him back.
"Life ain't easy in the big apple, and it's gonna get harder after this fiasco." Raph warned her.
"I don't want easy." she told him. "Where's the fun in that?"
"And that there is why I like you." Raph remarked.
The two embraced affectionately as Leo turned to Traximus.
"Thanks for trying to help us." Leo told him. "Good luck rebuilding your home."
"We will do what we can." Traximus replied. "It is all any of us can do."
...
The personal cruiser, now vacant of all that were not destined for earth, returned to New York City. By this point, all of the ships were pulling out of the atmosphere, taking off into space. The occupants inside were understandably nervous, though Casey was just happy to pull the atmosphere converter out of his mouth.
"Glad to be rid of this thing." Casey commented.
April pulled hers out as well, as did Leatherhead, Splinter, and Murakami.
"So, what now?" April asked.
"Hopefully, we can stash this thing at Galactic Enterprises, then get below ground." Donnie answered.
"I fear it will not be so simple." Lisa reported from the driver's seat. "Incoming vessel."
They looked out and saw a fighter jet coming in close, getting in behind them. Mikey's eyes went wide.
"They're gonna shoot us!" he shouted. "Brace yourselves guys!"
As if on cue, the jet fired two missiles at the cruiser. They made contact, not doing too much damage, but did make the ship rock a little.
"Shields at 40%!" Lisa announced. "Though primitive, your technology is quite dangerous!"
"We need to ditch this ship, fast!" Donny declared.
"Central Park!" Murakami suggested. "We can lose our pursuers in the woods!"
"Good plan!" Raph agreed. "Hurry!"
"I do not know what this 'Central park' is that you speak of!" Lisa informed him.
"That large green patch right there!" Leo clarified, pointing through the windshield. "Go! Before-!"
More missiles hit, killing the shields.
"Shields are down!" Lisa cried out. "Brace for impact!"
Leatherhead grabbed Hisako, curling around her protectively. Casey did the same with April, and Splinter took hold of the turtles. Murakami clung to the wall as the ship took a nosedive into central park, skidding through the picnic area before coming to a stop. Inside, everyone was flat on the ground, unaware of the soldiers closing in on the wreck.
