it takes a while for you two to get together, just because niko wants to think things through and be sure he’s making the right decision, as well as him being naturally apprehensive about this whole dating thing.

when you do eventually start going out, keep in mind you're probably his first real anything, so-

niko needs to take it slow for the first month or so because he needs time to adjust and get used to being in a relationship.

when he gets comfortable around you, niko starts to talk a lot more.

niko starts to talk about his interests more-soccer, stem stuff (idc i'll die by my hc that he's a stem boy), etc. and niko's really happy that you're genuinely interested in what he has to say :)

and as your relationship progresses, niko becomes more inclined to share his inner thoughts.

“this song is so bad, i hate it and how it's everywhere,” like, babe that sucks, but what do you want me to do, take it off the radio myself? 😭

ngl though, niko’s not much of a mall person. he'd just follow you around like a little puppy LOL, but he doesn't mind too much because it's for you.

communication is important to niko!!!!! he wants someone that he can have real conversation about the things that matter to him, so he rly makes an effort to have that kind of connection with you.

niko's naturally funny but he isn't aware that he is lol.

but when he does try, i feel like his humor comes in the form of sarcasm and dry wit. likes poking fun at you here and there with a lighthearted jab.

niko’s naturally closed off emotionally (male aquarius 😒) but i, personally, think he’d really try and push himself to be more open with you, especially if you expressed for him to do so </3

he'd be really appreciative of someone patient and understanding of the fact that he doesn't open up easily, though.

but eventually, you become the person closest to him- niko confides in you a lot, which he’s grateful for because he usually holds everything in.

not one for pda or other lovey-dovey things in public, other than the occasional holding of hands but behind closed doors, niko’s so soft around you, it’s like he’s a completely different person.

also, i feel like niko’s real handsy with you, i get the vibe he’s super touch starved 😭

although it does take him a while to get used to physical affection, once he has, niko cannot get enough. he’s always touching you when he has no real reason to.

(and because you're his first relationship, i feel like it’s just natural that niko’s going to be kind of clingy towards you.)

“you okay, ikki?” you ask as niko suddenly wraps his arms around your waist from behind, resting his chin on your shoulder.

niko likes when you sit on his lap when he’s on his computer. you can have your arms wrapped around his neck, your head resting in the crook of his neck, or you could just be on your phone or whatever, it doesn’t matter, niko just likes you near him.

you guys don’t really talk to each other when you do this, aside from niko occasionally checking up on you and asking if you need anything from him.

but other than that, you guys just enjoy each other's touch in silence. it’s one of his favorite things to do with you.

however, if you start kissing him in the middle of whatever he’s doing and keep it up for long enough, niko will drop everything to make out with you right then and there (also one of his favorite things to do with you).

speaking of kissing- you kiss niko first.

niko would try to plan your guys first kiss out because he wants everything to be perfect.

but, he ends up taking forever to execute it because he keeps overthinking and you can only wait so long before kissing him, so you take matters into your own hands.

his kisses are sloppy and juvenile at the beginning, but he’s smart and learns quickly what you do and don’t like.

Also, I am famous for being bad at knowing/guessing what the fandom as a whole is doing, so I could easily claim that people often misunderstand a ship in a certain way when actually people almost never misunderstand it that way?

I do not think Finduilas was being ‘flighty’/whatever with her crush on Túrin. Her pulling away from Gwindor, who has a very personality right now and who she thought was dead, is totally understandable. (Though I do quite like Gwindor/Finduilas! And I do think the bits of the fandom that like Gwindor/Finduilas and Túrin/Finduilas usually get it right.)

I find wholeheartedly fluffy Jon/Martin... confusing. Mostly because ‘wholeheartedly fluffy’ and ‘effortlessly healthy’ just do not go with any TMA ship? if you have your driver’s license, how would you describe the process of getting it?

i do have my drivers license! this is based off of usa drivers license stuff though, btw! (the only other country that i know the process of getting your driver’s license is taiwan, so.)

so the most important thing to note before anything is that each state has different requirements for getting your driver’s license. going along with that, your age matters when trying to get your driver’s license as well.

in general, what you do is get your learner’s permit and then get your driver’s license. that’s the most basic gist of it, but you can also go to your state’s dmv and they list the entire process out for you for realsies

requirements vary from state to state, so:

for getting your learner’s permit

depending on the state, if you are under sixteen (age will vary from state to state, this is not a standard, but 16 is common, i think), you’ll need to go to driver’s ed, which is basically driving school. i took an online version bc i had a special circumstance, which was 24 straight hours of lecture lmao

if you’re over sixteen or whatever age your state requires, you might be able to jump straight into getting your learner’s permit.

to get your learner’s permit, you’ll need

to take a vision test, just to make sure you’re capable of seeing on the road (for example, i have glasses, so my license says that i need to be wearing glasses when i’m driving)

to take a written exam. it’s multiple choice, not actually written but more electronic like on a screen and u choose ur answers, but the multiple choice exam is basically testing your knowledge on the rules and laws of the road (i.e. speed limits, what to do with school buses, what road signs mean, etc.)

and once you have your learner’s permit, once again depending on your age and the state, you might have to keep your learner’s permit for six months (just to get you comfortable with driving). during that time, you might be required to drive a certain amount of hours and log them. 

when you have your learner’s permit, you must have someone who is over 21 (actually, the age might be different or they might need to have had their license for a certain amount of years) when you are driving. you cannot drive alone.

anyways yeah then after u finish whatever u gotta do with ur learners permit, u can get ur driver’s license.

for getting your driver’s license

sooo for this part, you’ll need to take a driving test. the requirements will differ from state to state, but in general there are like, two parts to the test

one: an actual on the road test, the evaluator gives you instructions on where to go, when to turn, etc. 

this part is fine, just be chill, make sure you put on your seatbelt, you’ll ace this by this point.

two: a maneuver thing? idk how to describe it but it basically tests your parallel parking skills i think?? in some states they do the five cone test (u can google this) or they actually just have u parallel park?

an important note to take is that the test isn’t a “must have a perfect score” test, it’s a “as long as u end up with over x amount of points, u pass”, like a pass or fail kinda thing. like if ur doing the five cone test and u think ur gnna hit the cones, u can back up and restart. u take a hit but if u nail it when u kinda of “reset” u still pass.

then once u pass the driving test u just need to take a picture, provide identification stuff, technical process stuff

and then ur all good to go!

Can’t Explain Love

You know what I still don’t get?

Just... just when Edwin says science has the answers for everything and Merlin’s like ‘It can’t explain love’.

Like, what. the. fuck. was the point of that whole bit if it wasn’t saying Merlin’s in love??? Like??? What???

Like for one thing, MERLIN, MATE, WTF?! For a second thing, Merlin says Science is knowledge, Edwin says it has answers for everything, Merlin’s like ‘uh, cant explain love m8′, Edwin’s like ‘oh, ur in love???’ and Merlin fucking smiles and says no.

What the ever living fuck am I actually supposed to take away from that sequence??? Other than Merlin is a fucking bumbling idiot who’s just revealed he’s in fucking love, but then dispelled the suspicion by insinuating he meant that science can’t explain feelings and emotions. (Which just makes matters worse Merlin, IT MAKES MATTERS WORSE).

IM GONNA GO FUCKING INSANE WITH THIS. LOOK AT HIM. ^^^

Edwin asks a simple question, so so simple. Merlin just needs to say no with a straight fucking face, LIKE ANYONE WHO ISN’T FUCKING IN LOVE.

But, he, doesn’t, do, that. No, instead he smiles as he says no, he looks away and when he looks back, he’s still smiling.

It’s not the smiling so much as the looking away, which is very bashful. To me, in this setting, the looking away is very much an act of denial and lying. He looks away because he is fucking lying, the smile tells us that much, looking away proves it. 

Like, this is only episode fucking 6, so like, for real, I have questions, Merlin.

Ok, I don’t, because we all know he loves Arthur but at the same time... like how fucking quickly did he fall? For realsies and propers, legitly, how fast did poor Merlin fall for Arthur?

I mean, I’m gonna take a quick trip back to episode 4 and definitely say that’s the episode which proves that Arthur is in love with Merlin. Buut, what about Merlin? When did he fall?

Looking at the evidence, I have concluded that fuck knows when Merlin fell but he was deffo in love by episode 4 and that’s just the truth ok??? Ok???

Seems like even when I try not to, I gotta mention episode 4 BECAUSE HOLY FUCK IS THAT EPISODE THE GOLDMINE TO END ALL GOLDMINES!!

Anyhow, what was my point here? I don’t think there was one... just that Merlin’s very very fucking in love and episode 6 is clearly the true beginning to denying that fact.
