#mp answers #i've been trying so hard not to be annoying to my bnha friends but if you will allow me to push this for this ask let me say 🙏#if you're afraid of the episode count for one piece the manga is a lot quicker read while being just as enjoyable because the art style is #an actual delight. its great its fantastic im absolutely in love with it #the series is soooo good and i know luffy can seem unappealing to people before they start but he's just SUCH a great character & continues #to be even now. the story is SO GOOD the characters are SO GOOD... theres so much lore and world building that its insane #if you read the manga we get 'cover stories' on what's going on with previous characters to see what theyre up to even though we moved on #from where we left them. a lot of these cover stories blend into the main story so well its just seamless #there's one where we get introduced to a character we dont see hundreds of episodes into the anime and they show up like; during the second #saga. the series is about traveling to other islands and every single arc has been tied to another in some way or form that shows up later #even if its sagas and sagas later- it still becomes relevant again!! it's a huge ongoing story and there isnt a single arc that feels like #it has no purpose (sans filler in the anime-but even then!! some filler arcs are really entertaining!)#it's emotional! its sad! its downright stupid and silly but GOD... you can feel the love that oda put into this series and his characters #and the emotions in the expressions and the messages the story gives off it just makes me UEUHGHHAHGHH!!!#it's all about the adventure and the romance of it all! its about the freedom it brings and bringing freedom to others!#its a series where treasure should be a focus given its pirates and the its a giant treasure hunt for the one piece and yet! and yet so man #of the characters treasures are things that are not coins and gems but people and promises and family and and #im going to EXPLODE i love one piece

the thing is even as my version of the ace attorney universe is heavily modified to fit the themes of the characters within it, idk if thats even the right choice for the place to put them in bcos its not quite working. but also sooo much of it plays on aa status quo that id have to entirely reinvent parts if i wanted to preserve that effect

FL wanted to kill off everyone which I HEAVILY DISAGREED WITH but other person in the group was just kinda rude?)#and I go HEY Killing all of the protags for shock value is Never a good idea No Body Likes That.#No Body Likes A Story Where The Good Guys Lose And Theres Nothing They Could Have Done About It #(okay well maybe SOME people do but personally it always felt so pessimistic and discouraging and quite frankly Lazy.)#and you know. no one was listening to me. they go Ok We Are Going To Kill Everyone and Your Character Is First #Because theyre likable and prepared which will make it twice as gut wrenching ^.^#and I go You Know What. journeys is one of the most disheartening pokeani arcs because you can tell they had a decent setup for it but also that they had no clue what they wanted to do and lost steam partway through

#tbh some of the decisions legit make me wonder if a lot of it was pushed by tpci and they had to make a ton of changes #like. idk if id go as far as saying they made them add ash at the last minute but i do think tpci was weird about his arc here #while im glad they did choose to conclude his character in JN i do feel like SM was a good stopping point for him #and like i wonder if the original plan was for goh to be the sole protagonist bc he feels more realized than ash does in this arc #obviously i dont think that was a plan for very long if it even was a plan at all bc ash is so important to the show #but like at the very least i think they were just confused and not sure how to handle ash #and this is purely speculation on my part dont take it as gospel but i wonder if theres like a ton of mandates around ash #that makes it a bit harder to write stories around him these days. like in OS he was allowed to be a fuckhead basically #but now that hes basically a second mascot for the entire franchise i imagine theres a lot of strings attached to him now #like thats the real reason he never ages or anything its a lot of corporate stuff.#and despite JN supposedly having more freedom than any other series they probably couldnt do too much with ash or something #idk if that really tracks well with SM tho ill have to check once im there #but idk maybe thats why he and pikachu both are weirdly characterized there #echoed voice

Aaaahhh I'm so glad!! I've had a lot of fun figuring out his design! As for his character and story there's a lot but gosh where to start...

So uh, I guess to begin w 'Autumn' is the nickname for is me and my friend Arin's (@/scarin-aaarin) Link OC one of them anyways ajdjdk. We just started calling him that cause his color palette is made of warm oranges, yellows and reds (autumn colors!) He's from the downfall timeline and a descendant of the Hero of Legend (on his moms side.) He and his parents live in Kakariko village during an era of peace in Hyrule. Their relation to the previous hero is,, treated as a bit of a close held and dirty secret. Most information about the Hero of Legend has been lost to time, no one knows where he was buried, how he died or even his name. It's just been passed through the family for generations that,, well I guess that they want to distance themselves from the Hero's title or legacy.

Link himself was a pretty quiet and anxious kid. He was born with incredibly strong raw magical ability he has difficulty controlling. He doesn't know it but its from the remnants of fae blood that run through his mom's bloodline. It often manifests in sparks of lighting and becomes,, more uncontrollable when he's upset. Basically his energy, good or bad, has to escape somehow and most often that's through electricity although he might be capable of more than he thinks. When he was younger there were a couple accidents, and he's just,, very afraid to hurt anyone. Because of this he keeps to himself a lot, often spending days up in his room and rarely venturing into town or even outside his parents house. He's just pretty self-isolated and socially awkward.

One day though there's an unnatural storm brewing above the kindom, Link's magic is going haywire and he can almost hear the wind calling his name. When he sees a flash of a blue figure seeming to jump out his window, he makes a split second decision to follow and his adventure begins ^^

Um yee! Rest of the story includes minish, magic, dark reflections and a long lost relative being ripped from the grave to try to give this lad his best chance. He has to learn to accept his family's past and control his power if he wants any chance at destroying an ancient evil instead of himself. It's more than Link bargained for and he's trying to decide whether it's really worth it for him to stick with it to supposedly save a kingdom and world he's never truly known.

(And always gotta ask, if any of this sounds interesting Arins been considering writing out the whole fic. They have so many drabbles saved up (I've read them and there's a lot of really thoughtful and powerful themes of family, community, self reflection and discovery going on that often have me in tears) but like,, they're trying to gauge if there's any interest to share the full story. I can try my best to answer questions n stuff but like Arins the mastermind behind this, I'm just along for the ride w sketches and stuff yknow ajskd All this to say if anyone who's read this far wants to see Autumn's whole story than please go support Arin too on the first couple chapters of their fic, "Family Branches."
