I was struck by inspiration the day before yesterday and began working on whatever this is. The idea is that characters from franchises that haven't seen the light in a hot minute watch Default Mii ascend to heaven. Lol.

The composition is based on The Ascension by John Singleton Copley, an oil painting from 1775. Hopefully God has a good sense of humor...

I want to finish this thing so bad but it takes so freaking long to do anything!! I have a hand tremor so I'm kinda getting scammed when I draw. I will never understand those people who can go from nothing to a full, finished piece in a day. If only!!

Girl spilllll, I wanna know what happened in ur dream

i dont rlly know how to explain it but it was like some kind of competition it was this like new game and it was like played on a 3ds. and u had to make your own character even though it was mostly like questions and stuff like that. it was supposed to have like a creepy vibe to it but i kinda skipped the story ig i dont remember it.

i finish this game and i win even if i didnt like finish first, and i stayed like sitting that room waiting for the other people to finish and it was like all people that i know from my school so i just kinda stayed there listening to them talk about the game and stuff.

Then it cuts and theres like a party for the people who won the game or something like that. and i dont remember it all too much but ben coccio was there for some reason and i was like eating food not giving a fuck at all. and then cal robertson showed up and he was like his younger self from after they did zero day. and he was like with two guys from that competition and i stopped eating my food i walked up to him and was like 'i won too' and i hugged him and he like couldnt give a fuck at all like he just ignored me totally

another cut im in my bedroom, just woke up i get ready to go out cause i apparently have to go to my cousins house. and i start walking to go there in like an unfinished 3d render of my street and as im walking i see this guys carrying an unconscious girl out and my first thought was 'oh he kidnapped her' so i looked down at my phone so he would not i hadnt seen anything if he knew i was there (?). when i was walking away scrolling pinterest i heard him like talking to the unconscious girl and he said her name was like Paula Dean so i called the police and i gave them all that info and this like tru crime montage starts with like very realistic videos which i assumed were shot by the kidnapper play and theres like a woman in the background 'The Paula Dean case yada yada' like it was a true crime podcast and the videos were like weirdly realistic like nothing looked off they looked like actual vidoes and it was rlly off putting.

And then after like 5 minutes of that i get to my cousins house and the dream turns into this weird like hybrid child of the sims and tomodachi life and i like mess around and stuff for a little bit and then i woke up

1. How is your writing going right now?

Right now, I feel like I'm in a funk. I'm able to write things if it's to help others, but when it comes to my own writing for myself, it's mostly... well, dead at the moment. I think it's from the recent family death that my writing's slowed down. I want to hope the unconscious grief can pass.

2. Give me a song that gives you vibes for your wip? (If too hard, just a song you've been listening to a lot lately. This is literally just me trying to get new music to listen to and your excuse to ramble about writing stuff.)

The Things You Mustn't Avert Your Gaze From and Hitorime no Tomodachi Ni, or in English, "My First Friend" for all my WIPs. Because they capture the soft feelings I try to write for in the first place, to illuminate the dark.

3. Do you have any headcanons for your wips that you can't/won't include for some reason? (If do, why?)

I... think I have a couple. And those are because of (1) lack of energy to write them, (2) they cover territory I have yet to experience in life, and (3) I'm honestly concerned I'd start crying if I write them because of how emotionally invested I get into writing in the first place for specific characters.

4. What's a scene/character/plot/thing you're excited to get to write in your wip?

When I do go back to S&S and CP and Naruto stuff? A lot of things post-Kannabi. Including Team Minato being kids. They deserve more time to have fun as kids.

For Fate/Passing Days stuff? Including some of the older memories I've had from playing the game, such as bonding with older Servants through Tumblr bond level stories again, or even when I Grailed specific Servants (looking at Shiki, Musashi, Skadi, Melt, and Astarte, especially). Even more character-driven, Bond 10 specific chapters when I have the energy for them.

5. Is there anything you have to make a specific pass in editing for?

By "pass", do you mean "excuse"/"look the other way"? Because if so, it's definitely repeating/filler words for me. I know I use a lot of "only," "sometimes," and the like in my first drafts, and when writing the first draft of a scene out from my head, I've been trying to forgive myself more in not having more detail-oriented words to get the thoughts out.

6. How many rounds of editing do you usually do?

1-2. Basically first one being while I write it or right after I finish the chapter. Second being if I allow myself to sleep on the doc and come back to it the next day. Or that second round is me actually reading the published version on AO3 to check for typos and the like.

7. Biggest challenge(s) with writing (in story or out of it)?

My main thing's really all out of writing for me: Just trying to find the right words to articulate what I see in my head. Because imagining any kind of scenes playing out like anime isn't always easy to write out. Fight scenes are the worst offender. Same thing with emotional stuff, at least to a smaller extent.

8. How do you utilize your non-writing writing time?

Reading manga/light novels, as well as rereading previous source material to keep the ideas fresh. I even make it a personal policy to take three books with me in my purse on my work days so I can read/refresh on my breaks.

9. How do you personally define a good or bad day of writing for yourself? / what does it take to feel like you've made decent progress?

A good day of writing for me is writing more than just a few words/sentences. A bad day would be if I'm unable to come up with anything and just sit there, staring at the same words and wondering how to continue.

10. Do you write in discrete units of time/schedule or is it just whenever you have time?

It's just when I have the time. Since I take the trolley to and back from work (which is about one hour and 20 min one way already), I've been trying to write more during those moments when I can.

11. What are your current wips? (+ short description if u want)

Civilian Pianist (CP) - Currently on idea hiatus, but wishing to go back.

The Sea and Stars (S&S) - Also on idea hiatus, because fight scenes.

Passing Days (Fate) - Ongoing, just slow updates (about once a month) due to energy and some things in FGO hitting worse than others. Some part of the fanbase is definitely a big factor. Had to let go of some friends and be civilly distant with others with how big and picky the fandom is. Can count on one-two hands the number of people I can share my ideas with without worrying about backlash or anything.

So, you're playing genshin impact and you've finished doing commissions: you say congratulations to your team and hear a hearty shout from all. Paimon, due to her and the genshin characters becoming self aware, suddenly becomes curious and asks you a question:

"What do you do when you're not playing Paimon and the others? Paimon is sure that we are your priority, but what keeps you occupied whilst we've gone to our respective places?" This question makes you think for a bit, since genshin impact is the main app fueling your entertainment.

I could only guess what you do in your free time apart from playing Genshin Impact, but having a Nintendo model meant that you could play Animal Crossing and Tomodachi Life to your hearts content. Of course, you're more than happy to explain to your self aware companions that they weren't the only ones needing attention - but they didn't seem to share your enthusiasm upon hearing this...

Hearing the confusion in their tones was enough to make you pull out the gadget and open up Animal Crossing. It was nice for some, the twins Lumine and Aether were more than delighted to see the simple aesthetics of the game, and Amber started dancing with her Baron Bunny upon seeing your cute villagers. The majority of them start to pout.

How could you! Just when they thought that they were everything to you, you suddenly show up with a village and and a flat full of stubborn Miis? Oh how rude! It's fine though, they'll just have to convince you that wishing, grinding and playing with your sweet characters is much more entertaining than being a servant to a bunch of bobble-heads.

3: Best game you’ve ever played? WEEEELLLL.......let me preface this with two things: one, i am a FAKE GAMER as in my laptop is not at all made for gaming, it’s piss poor, so a big chunk of games i’m interested in is because i watched a playthrough of them lol. i have a 3ds but only 3 games on it (animal crossing new leaf, tomodachi life, nintedogs & cats). second, i’m very bad at choosing favorites of things.....BUUUUT .....i choooooose, in no particular order, OFF, pigeonetics, elder scrolls oblivion, pathologic classic HD!! i’m more than likely forgetting a few though, so sorry about that

4: Worst game you’ve ever played? as i said above, cannot choose favorites, neither can i choose whatever the opposite of favorites is but...uhh, does lif even count as a game? like lif, the stupid little furry flash game i remember playing on some shady website. it was surprisingly very active with a BUNCH of people there but i kept dying like every 5 seconds....AWFUL

6: A game that’s changed you the most? WELL define Changed.....ummm aha first thing that comes to mind is OFF. it’s one of those things where you never knew you wanted something so fucking bad until you saw it--and it’s like that for me. i NEVER knew i loved that odd, surreal, colorful, “looks playful and simple in some parts but incredibly violent and unnerving in other parts” aesthetic til i played it. like aesthetically i love that game to BITS and something about it just stuck with me til the end of time.

later in life (meaning, past year or so) it changed me because it taught me a lesson about storytelling and creative endeavors. a very useful lesson. which is: things don’t really need to have a meaning. stories, art, music, writing, whatnot, while it CAN be deep and meaningful, while you CAN use it as a way to communicate with the world about all kinds of heartfelt things, it can also be...nothing, really.

once i, as usual, got ridiculously overwhelmingly sad about small things. specifically seeing other people around me come up with all kinds of deep and meaningful characters and stories, sometimes putting them into webcomics or writings of theirs, and they were all so well-thought out and detailed and what i envied most was people put a lot of themselves and their experiences into them, venting and coping through them, whilst also making these larger-than-life grandiose complex stories and worlds and so on and so forth.

it made me look at my own ideas and get mad/frustrated at how shallow they were. but then i remembered OFF and i felt better because Fun Fact, mortis ghost has a now-abandoned dA account and if you go through the comment section on his profile, he answers a lot of fan questions and he mentions several times that the game didn’t really have a “meaning”, it didn’t really have a “deeper story” or moral or anything, really. i’m paraphrasing this but i vividly remember him saying “i wanted to make a game, so i did”.

that made me feel a lot better because it made me realise that sometimes art--especially stories, in my case-- doesn’t NEED to be DEEP or have MEANING...sometimes it can just BE!!!! sometimes it really can just be all about AESTHETICS like who GIVES a shit if there’s a hidden meaning if you take the first letter of all of your characters’ names and put them backwards, sometimes all that matters is if they just VIBE with you y’know....

yume nikki is similar in this regard bc that game doesn’t have any story other than “collect egg” and yet it’s so impactful. that game doesn’t have a story or meaning it just IS........ :) GOD THATS SO LONG IM SORRY ABOUT THAT but yeah. funny violent ghostbusting baseball man is a game that changed me :)

7: A game you’ll never forget? OFF AGAIN LOL,,, it’s just so memorable because of how unique it is. visuals, soundtrack, story, everything is so memorable. unforgettable. oh god you can tell how much i love this damn game can’t you

8: Best soundtrack? yakuza 0, OFF, there is a picture (another game by mortis ghost, again composed by alias conrad coldwood who also composed OFF), pigeonetics (the entire soundtrack of which is here), jojo’s bizarre adventure all star battle and eyes of heaven, silent hill 2 & 3, undertale....probably forgetting more but all of these...earcandy

11: Hardest game you’ve played? i am a shitty gamer so this is Most games i’ve played lol!! but uhh..well you see. hardest game i remember playing as of recent is pathologic classic hd in which it’s...not only hard to understand what any character is saying at any given time lol but also, i don’t think it’s HARD it’s just...you need to focus. you REALLY need to fucking focus and pay attention in this game. so i wouldn’t say its HARD, but i’m only putting this here bc it’s in recent memory.

i say recent memory because the true answer is susceptible to “yeah, but now you’re older, it must not be so hard.” as in if i played it now i think i’d have a way easier time. but when i was around....10-12 years old i had several ps3 video game adaptations of animated movies and i had SUCH a fucking hard time with them. g-force, bolt and up in particular were fucking HARD. like genuinely, the hardest time i had EVER had in my live playing video games is tied to these three fucking games. g-force and bolt ESPECIALLY. one particular level in bolt took both me AND my sister around a year to fucking finish.

again, i was baby, so i bet i’d have a much easier time with them now that i’m 17. but for now, in my experience, bolt and g-force for the ps3 were harder than pathologic classic. i think icepick lodge should take a few notes for them for pathologic 2.

16: Character you’ve hated most? From what game? i can’t think of any character i like, HATE...with a burning passion.. there are a few i dislike or have a complicated relationship with though.. i’m not interested in the series anymore but ouma from drv3...i’ll admit that he is a bit fun sometimes, especially in the very early beginning he’s a likeable brat but as the game progresses he becomes more irritating than anything and i have an issue with him in regards to writing, despite the fact that i have never been awake in any english class ever lol. it’s too long to put in this already long post but i’ll keep it at that. if you like him, well, good for you for finding joy in something i couldn’t! but he just doesn’t do it for me.

AH I JUST REMEMBERED....MINE......FROM YAKUZA 3....maybe i’d change my mind if i watched a playthrough of y3 again, because i think you always absorb something better on your second watch (tho i honestly Dont have the energy to do that all over again, the yakuza games are too fucking long), but i really hate his writing. spoilers for y3 but, i think mine’s writing, alongside other things in the game, were super messy...and a big part of why i hate him is that not only is he one of those “could’ve had great potential but fell flat” sorta guys but also his love for daigo is seen as some fans as good gay rep and i?????/.............um....WELL let’s just say that, i think people nowadays will see any gay character ever in any circumstance and say it’s good gay rep just based off the fact that A Gay Character exists....he was Not, good gay rep imo....he was not, let alone, Good. .........

17: What game do you never tell people you play? can’t think of any games i wouldn’t tell people i play.. idk exactly what this question’s asking. does it mean what game you don’t tell ppl you play bc you’re embarrassed about it...? i’m not very embarrassed by any of them. the only thing that comes close, i guess, is uhh lioden and wolvden. i’ve only interacted with those communities a LITTLE TINY WEE BIT, yet of what i’ve seen it’s a goddamn dumpster fire and i’d never want to be associated with them lol

19: Which game do you think deserves a revival? i’m well aware it’ll never happen and that it’s more a wet dream than anything but...PT/silent hills..... on a more realistic/”could happen” note, PIGEONETICS!!!! SERIOUSLY, it’s an amazing game about amazing animals and it teaches genetics in a very simplified and efficient way!! genetics is SO hard for me to understand, i fucking hated studying it but this game really helped me understand how it works AND its super engaging and interesting!! 22: If you could immerse yourself in any game for one day, which game would it be? What would you do? immerse myself meaning go into their world...? huh....on one hand i’d like to go in the world of yakuza 0 to play in the arcades and do whore related activities but i’d also love to go into the world of animal crossing (and i’m pretty sure i’d be some sort of generic dromaeosaurid in that game!!) and shop, chat with villagers, do chores for them, go fishing, bug hunting, eat delicious fucking food like the apples mangos peaches cherries etc etc.....OH AND FOSSIL HUNTING THAT’S THE BEST PART!! though it would definetly be a little weird, to be a little dinosaur and finding a fossil of a...little dinosaur....i guess the non-sentient species went extinct and the dinosaur i am is some kind of, descendant of a sapient non-avian dinosaur that survived the k-pg extinction event...oh but who cares all i want is a cool little ambulocetus fossil or something. and some cherry pie :)

26: Handheld or console? my old ps3 just went kaput one day years ago so i haven’t used it in years so i can’t compare well... but i’d say handheld, because it lets me like DO stuff more...would love to get a console one day, a ps4 maybe but i’m kinda worried it’ll make me stay in one room all day wasting away my time when there’s other stuff i can do, y’know? but something handheld like my 3ds, on the other hand...i can do stuff with it. i can take it to my room and play it between breaks i take as i clean the room and fold my clothes, i can watch something on the tv and play the game during ad breaks, i can take it outside too if it has charge to last me a while! so....handheld i guess

HMMM....well, if i were to play a game with a shitty story but really good and fun gameplay i’d probably continue playing it for the gameplay. but if i played a game with shitty gameplay but an interesting story, there is a chance i’d play it more for the sake of the story but also i might just quite and see the rest of the story on youtube or something. i’m more likely to go through a boring story for fun gameplay than go through boring gameplay for an interesting story, so i guess gameplay is more important to me....that is, WHEN i actually own and play a game as opposed to when i just watch someone play a game because i don’t own the game but wanna know abt the story lol

30: A game that hasn’t been localized in your country that you think should be localized? i have no idea how video game localization really works....but i assume localizing a game in india would mean something like, removing content according to cultural norm and also somehow translating it into the 22 official languages..? or just two or three language if it’s tied to a particular state, which seems way more doable. i honestly have no idea? i’ve never interacted w the indian gaming community that much to be honest, all i know of it is of the video games i’ve seen sold in some game stores and a few whispers about like solid snake or whoever from my school’s cafeteria....the most popular games here, to my knowledge, are those very streamable games like fortnite and PUBG and your call of duties and whatnot. those generic shooters. and even then, that honestly isn’t the “indian” gaming community bc this country is so FUCKHUGE, it’s just tamil nadu. one state.

soooo, according to what little i know of gaming interests in where i live, i don’t think any of the games i like should be localized here bc i don’t really think there’s an audience for it as far as i can tell :( maybe animal crossing? it’s a fun little games for all ages and i think it has a chance of becoming popular here, so maybe that is worth a shot! but i can’t think of any other game that i like that really has an audience here (other than Me lol)

Hiya! What's your favourite game?

This is… A difficult question…

A lot of game series that are my favorites are ones I’ve never actually played, plus I’m absolutely horrible when it comes to actually finishing games (see FE Awakening, which I started almost three years ago now…?). So? Picking a favorite game is actually really hard for me?

The ones I’ve played most are probably Hyrule Warriors and Tomodachi Life…? Hours invested in them are super high. Love Live! School Idol Festival has a lot of item and enjoyment put into it too, so I can’t just discount that either… Plus I’ve been playing Cookie Run a lot recently so! I really don’t know! I’m just really indecisive when it comes to all these things…

But games I like in general include the ones I named above! I also like Final Fantasy but I haven’t played many of them, Fire Emblem (obviously), Danganronpa,  I’ve been liking Ace Attorney lately, any idol rhythm game is cool, rhythm games in general are cool and… I don’t know? In general I like everything, really;; I know that’s not really a proper answer but it’s the best I’ve got;;

Pokemon Direct (6.6.2017) thoughts

What’s up, guys? Elemeno here…uh…

This is actually just a personal thingy. No need to do introductions. Well...it’s on tumblr. But hey…this might be posted on Wattpad after 3 months.

But hey…I’ll just pretend like it’s the good old Sun and Moon days wherein I had a reaction for every video or teaser than Pokemon released for their upcoming games.

So…yeah…I was an hour late, so I wasn’t able to watch Pokemon Direct. I saw bunch of posts like: “POKEMON ULTRA SUN AND ULTRA MOON”

And I was like…HELLO?!

Welp…no Pokemon Stars. No Diamond and Pearl remakes.

I don’t even why people are really predicting Pokemon Stars. I know that was already being talked about earlier this year, but I don’t think it’s ever been confirmed to be an actual game. It’s just like Pokemon Z all over again. (Although, I do admit that I was one of those people who kinda wanted a Pokemon Z.)

As for me, I was hoping for the remakes for Diamond and Pearl. It has been 10 years since its release (for North America), so maybe it was time to do a remake. That’d be kinda dope af…as the kids these days would say.

And Diamond and Pearl would always hold a special place in my heart. Sure, I never really tell anyone that Generation 4 was my favorite (it really isn’t, but it was still cool). However, it was Gen 4 that really got me more into the Pokemon games. Sure…I’ve gotten the chance to play older games, but DP, specifically Pokemon Pearl, was the very first Pokemon game wherein I had my own physical and legit copy of the game. I felt like I was really getting into the games, especially for someone who considers herself to have been a fan since 1999. Yes…it was because of the anime. I didn’t have a Game Boy, Game Boy Color or even a Game Boy Advance. Back then, I only dreamed of having the games.

ANYWAY…enough of the backstory no one was really asking for.

Let’s now talk about what were mentioned in Pokemon Direct.

The major part of that announcement was not the second games for Alola, but rather, it focused on Pokken Tournament DX for the Nintendo Switch.

Oh cool.

I’ve always wanted to play Pokken. Back in its original release, I was jealous of the people who had a Wii U.

I plan on buying my own Switch in the future. I’m kinda hoping that I would get one my birthday or for Christmas, but that seems farfetched.

Pokken Tournament DX looks cool. You could play with anyone anywhere. That’s fun.

Also, we’re gonna have Pokemon Gold and Silver on the Virtual Console…again…kinda dope.

So now…let’s focus on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

Let’s feel the Ultra hype!

Eh…not that hyped myself. But hey, I wasn’t super hyped when Sun and Moon was first revealed. The hype came in when I saw the trailers.

So far, we were only given a title reveal and a focus on what looks to be new forms of Solgaleo and Lunala…or maybe new forms of Necrozma. All we know is that there is a fusion between Nebby and Necrozma.

Yes. Nebby Necrozma. Nebcrozma?

Fusion…fusion…where have we heard this before?

Oh right.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.

Although I found the designs of the Nebby Necrozma to be really cool, I was kinda disappointed because they’ve done the fusion thing for the cover legendaries with the third member of the trio.

But hey…it’s gonna be an alternate timeline, not a continuation.

I’m still looking forward to the game, though. We’ll probably get more hyped once more trailers come out.

Okay…as the title implies, there may be more focus on the Ultra Beasts. If you think about it, Ultra Beasts were a major part in the main storyline of Pokemon Sun and Moon, but it wasn’t until the postgame when we had to deal with them (other than the Nihilego we encountered back in the Aether Foundation). So…maybe the upcoming games will now have the Nebby story, the Ultra Beast story, and of course, the Necrozma story all in the main storyline.

Hopefully, that would make the main storyline longer because Sun and Moon was short. It’d be nice if it took me a week to finish a Pokemon game, not one weekend.

Will we have even more Ultra Beasts? I think so.

Will we have more Alolan Forms? I’m gonna say yes.

Putting it here now…I’m predicting Alolan Jigglypuff. Y’all with me on Alolan Jigglypuff?

I need to stop.

Okay…maybe there will be more Alolan forms of Pokemon from the other generations, not just Gen 1.

Maybe we won’t be getting the Mega Flygon that we wanted, but we could get Alolan Flygon.

Or you know…Alolan Pikachu.

Or…Alolan Togepi.

Or…Alolan Dialga and Palkia.

Okay…what.

So we’ll just have to wait for more info. For now, it’s all about predicting for fun.

And now the next question comes in, will I be getting Ultra Sun or Ultra Moon?

Back in Black 2 and White 2, I chose to play Pokemon Black 2 since I first played Pokemon Black. I did that for consistency since Pokemon Black 2 follows the timeline of Pokemon Black.

However, it’s gonna be an alternate timeline.

Maybe I’ll get Pokemon Ultra Sun just to shake things up…and so that I don’t have to struggle on looking for pink outfits around Festival Plaza.

But for now…

Me: U for Ultra Sun or U for Ultra Moon.

Also me: How about U get a job first?

YUP.

I can’t wait until I’m finally free to play all the new videos games I want. I have a few games lined up to play. The game that I really want to play is Fire Emblem Echoes. I know…I know…it’s out already, but I still haven’t bought the game.

I am also considering on buying Miitopia. I loved leading Miis to having a happy life in Tomodachi Life, so I feel that I’ll enjoy leading Miis engage in war against evil.

Fun.

GAH. I’m also planning on buying stuff from the Nintendo e-shop really soon.

Pokemon Bank (so that I don’t have to wait for my brother who only comes home once a year), Fire Emblem Fates Conquest and Revelations, and some virtual console games (Red and Blue; Gold and Silver).

I’m also planning on buying a new 3DS so that I can have a better playing experience. Maybe I could finally use my Pikachu amiibo.

Idk. What would be more affordable? A new 3DS, or a new SD card and an NFC reader?

I don’t even know if our local game store sells NFC readers….huh…

Welp…RIP my savings unless I manage to get a job.

As for now, allow me to focus on the things I need to focus on. These will be my rewards for doing a good job. Okay…rewards, birthday gift and Christmas gift. That’s kinda a lengthy and pricey list.

For now, let’s just all play Magikarp Jump. At least it’s free and loads with fun! YAY!

Games I played in January~June 2018

· Until Dawn (PS4) All of the fun clichés of teen horror films rolled into one. I’d say it’s worth a playthrough, but I wish it were easier to replay different chapters. There are too many unskippable cutscenes and puzzles to bother trying to save more characters.

· Atelier Rorona Plus (VITA) I guess I enjoyed it? Working toward goals and successfully achieving them was quite satisfying. But ultimately it’s not a story-heavy game, which is what I tend to look for in JRPGS. I especially wish the game gave you more substantial endings with all the different characters. I worried the main character might be annoying, but she’s actually adorable. However, I did NOT like Astrid... sexual harassment much? Plus, the homunculus thing was beyond morally questionable.

· LittleBigPlanet (VITA) Enjoyable game, could be longer. I guess the main feature of this title is letting players create their own levels- which is cool, but not something I’m particularly interested in.

· Mom Hid My Game (IOS) Just a fun little game that makes me laugh. I love these short point-and-click vignette-style games :)

· Snipperclips (SWITCH) This game is meant to be played co-op but I played the entire thing on my own lol. I guess I find communicating with other people more difficult than the actual puzzles. But it’s a really good game that you should play, co-op or not!

· Normal Lost Phone (IOS) A great way to spend an afternoon. It’s a very intriguing story, and I also liked how bits of new information were revealed the more I played. Will definitely play the sequel someday.

· Splatoon2 (SWITCH) I had such a love-hate relationship with this game, but I’m over it now. I played it nonstop for several months, and it hasn’t been good for my mental health. I can’t wait for cloud saving to become available, because then I’ll be able to delete the game from my Switch without worrying about losing progress.

· The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (3DS) This wasn’t really my type of a game, but I can still recognize that it’s a masterpiece, and I’m glad I pushed myself to finish it. The game is lighthearted at times, and the fact that there’s a guy in the woods who steals your stuff without any explanation was especially hilarious to me. I just couldn’t get used to only being able to attack in four directions, and I didn’t like how you don’t get back the items you used when you die, even though you have to restart from the dungeon entrance. Also, I wish the game would let me save more often… I mean come on.

· Danganronpa 2 (VITA) Okay, I have a LOT to say about this game. Basically, I had the exact opposite experience from when I played the first Danganronpa title. I was really invested throughout that game, but was ultimately left disappointed because of the sudden, outlandish ending. This game, however, was NOT enjoyable for the most part. I was just impatiently waiting for the story to move along, and the mini-games they added to the trials are unnecessary at best and aggravating at worst. Plus, some of the characters really got on my nerves. There is so much casual sexual harassment in this game, but the writers try to get away with it by a) having the female characters volunteer this kind of behavior (never mind the fact that these actions are super out of character) and b) making the main character a bystander instead of an active participant (even though in my eyes he’s still complicit, since he never tries to stop the other male characters from making lewd, inappropriate comments about the female characters) However, the final chapter and the ending were just amazing. Like… mind-blowingly so. But still, I’d recommend playing the first game yourself and just watching a let’s play of the second game, because the majority of the second game is such a chore.

· Super Mario Odyssey (Switch) If I had to use one word to describe this game, it would be ‘delightful’. It’s just brimming with pleasant surprises, with moons to collect and colorful characters to meet around every corner. I also appreciated the sheer variety when it came to the different kingdoms, all of which I found too beautiful to play in handheld mode. I’m taking a break after seeing the ending, but I intend to dive back in someday to collect even more moons :D

· Tomodachi Life (3DS) Tagline: when fandoms collide. Step 1. Make miis of your friends, celebrities, fictional characters, whomever. Step 2. Force them into one apartment complex. Step 3. Watch as chaos and hilarity ensue. I almost lost it when the twelfth doctor had a dream where someone told him I was an alien. He was so flabbergasted!

· Pokemon Go (IOS) Shockingly, this is my first time playing Pokemon Go. I thought I’d check it out because of the upcoming Let’s Go Pikachu & Eevee features. So far, it’s been an enjoyable excuse to go outside, although as a noob gyms and raids can be annoying.

· Donkey Kong Country Returns (3DS) This is a game I played for a while, but decided to retire. I simply wasn’t having a good time. While I found Rayman Origins to be challenging but fun, this game is only about the challenge. It just wasn’t for me :/
