you can headcanon whatever you want, I can’t stop you and I will always support people in doing their thing, but I think that the headcanon that Finnick’s Annie’s mentor has done actual damage to the perception of the pairing. and I think this because when I have spoken to people about odesta (sometimes it bubbles out of me and I can’t control it) more than one person has been squicked out because they think that Finnick is her mentor canonically, and it turns them off the pairing. the headcanon is so prolific that some casual fans actually think it’s canon, and they are (rightfully imo) freaked out by the implications of it.

and yes I am taking this Far too seriously, in my defense a) I’m stoned and b) I’m weird, but at the same time it is kind of sad, because to me odesta has always been a very meaningful pairing because of the message it sends and the representation it provides. and as a mentally ill person, I understand why someone like me would be made uncomfortable by the idea of her caretaker also having been her mentor and responsible for her life, and then see that as sapping the romance out of it, and it just. to me it is a shame, because as a kid I latched onto their story due to the representation there, and I’m like man. what if there’s people who are missing out on feeling seen simply because of a headcanon that took off. that would be so sad

but again. do what you will. I cannot stop you. I will continue to indulge in my haterisms in my corner and write what I wish to see in the world

Hot take but instead of CGI, anime should go back to more retro style animation, like we should totally bring back bold, dynamic animation and imitation cel-shading and bold outlines and rich details and unique designs because that’s what the modern anime scene needs more of and I just know that retro style animation would look absolutely amazing with modern technology

I've gone through my blog and I never thought I would say this, but...

I miss how I was a year ago. Even though it was right before my state exam, my nerves basically shot from worrying and stressing all the time, and yet... I was happier compared to now. Back then I had only recently discovered Stray Kids and my hyperfixation had run strong, providing me with the chance to escape reality through Bae and the stories I had created for him.

Now I sit here once again, before a big exam, only much more mentally tired. I want to feel that same joy I felt when I saw 5-STAR for the first time, kpop still being completely new to me. I want to be active here, chatting with the few of you who aren't shy enough to hide away. I want to write for Bae again.

People still tend to lump JK Rowling in with the category of ~problematic artists~ and I need everyone to understand that is not the problem with her. She is not comparable to anyone who wrote a piece of fiction you hate, or someone who made rude comments in 2015 and has since learned better.

She is far more like Elon Musk. She is a radicalized person with an extreme amount of social and financial power, and for YEARS she has been using that power to try to influence her government into hurting vulnerable people, on purpose. And she has succeeded. THAT is the problem with her, and THAT is why spending money on her books is so dangerous, not because her books aged badly.

Critiquing her work is fine, of course (I personally was never a fan so I really don’t care) but you NEED to understand that fiction is not the main issue here. And I truly think acting like she’s the same as the rest of any giant list of ~problematic creators of the week~ waters down how dangerous she is.
