The Fender Telecaster (1949) was the first mass-produced electric guitar; the Fender Stratocaster (1954) is among the world's most iconic electric guitars and the Fender Precision Bass (1951) set the standard for electric bass guitars. Obwohl meine finanzielle Lage aktuell sehr angespannt ist, habe ich ausnahmsweise trotzdem diese Platte gekauft. In meiner kommenden Ausgabe des Rock 'n' Roll Flashback möchte ich anlässlich seines 90. Geburtstags ausführlich an die britische Produzentenlegende #JoMeek erinnern. Da ich jedoch nur wenige von ihm produzierte Singles besitze (darunter einige Titel der Tornados, sowie Singles von John Leydon, Screaming Lord Sutch und natürlich Heinz) kam mir diese Compilation LP sehr gelegen.
