I often get questions on how to do a specific decorative edge - like the Scalloped edge - often achieved with a HUNG HEM. A hung hem is simply a segment that folds over itself and is attached - kind of like the hem of your pants. In CSM land this can be done on a Cuff Down or Toe Up sock. For clarity here is a comparison between the two. This is the SAME sock with the same design features but with different two approaches - the TOE UP version will be finished OFF MACHINE with a manual HUNG HEM while the CUFF DOWN is done on the machine.
