"It's you, it's really you! Oh finally! Finally!" Turning you paused as a blue and yellow boy stared at you, his glowing orange eyes peering into yours.

The Day of Unity had just occurred and your head was spinning from the pain of it. You knew what was coming from your time with Belos and yet you never could have prepared for it. As you looked at this kid confused trying to decide if he's real or not you suddenly hissed. Grabbing your wrist, your entire arm burned from your magic being drained out of you moments ago. Standing in your tattered uniform left ruined after the scuffle you were in with the abomitons you took deep breaths trying to steady your vision and rapidly beating heart.

You were a mess from helping the rebels but otherwise you were alive. Alive and grateful. Belos hadn't won, your friends were safe, you hoped. Gasping for air, your coven mask makes it difficult to breathe. You just hoped this awful pain would go away soon. Everything burned, it still felt like you were on fire, like you were still being killed off.

Feeling your coven mask get tossed to the side revealing your face you find your able to breath better. You reach up confused touching your face.

"Better?" They ask you. The star boy was several feet away which means magic must have been used to throw the mask but you didn't see him summon a spell circle. Heaving in air not questioning it as you regained your full consciousness you looked around confused. You hadn't been here moments ago. How did you get here? Where was here?

Your head was spinning and you couldn't gain your bearings. But this star child... they helped you. Why?

"... Hello?" You respond softly staring up at the floating child. He beams at you and lands on the ground, the bells on his shoes jangling as he quickly walks over.

"Stay away from them! NO WEH!" As the child flicked his hand King was sent tumbling backwards. Vision cleared but still in immense pain from the after effects of the draining spell you hold your arm out for King, reaching for him.

"King...?" Getting up to go after him and make sure he's okay you stumble for a few steps before you fall to your knees again. Your breathing was uneven as your hands kept you upright, your vision was swimming again but you had to check on King. On the other kids. On your friends and family. You had to make sure everyone was okay. They had to be okay.

Wheezing as you try to push yourself up again you close your eyes unable to do it.

The blue and yellow child suddenly grabs your arm stopping you from trying. You look down at where his hand was touching you before you grabbed at your forehead trying not to scream. Everything was burning. It all burned.

"New friend! New friend!" He cries out and you cover your ears as they begin to ring. His voice makes your skull thrum and you groan uncomfortable.

"Please..." You beg but you're not even sure what you're asking for. You reach out for King but you're not even sure if you're reaching the right way. Nothing makes sense.

"You're going to be my new Baba!" The kid states happy. "Belos promised and he broke his other pinkie swear so this one he has to keep!" Baba? Belos? Pinkie swear? What was this kid talking about?

"... Baba...?" You ask squinting your eyes confused. They nod before pulling on your arm. About to protest you pause as the pain goes away with their touch. They have a smile on their face as they pull you to your feet and hug you around your waist. Weakly you smile back before instinctually your hand comes up to play with their white and fluffy hair.

"Mmmmhmmm! You're going to be my Baba! You're going to take care of me like you take care of everyone else, but only me?" He states and you simply pat the child's back still processing what was happening.

Eyes glossing over you keep playing with Collectors hair nodding at his suggestion. Baba? His baba? You'd like to be his Baba you think. As all other thoughts fade away except your love for the being infront of you, you get a hazy smile. Collector, your child's name was the Collector. Briefly you can hear King and the kids calling for you but your focus was on the your child who was hugging you tightly.

"I love you my Star child..." You mumble as a tear escapes your eye.

"I love you too Baba!!!"

i laid out my thoughts below - this list includes all of the characters i write for as organised alphabetically

note : these are only my headcanons so feel free to interpret otherwise or let me know your thoughts on the topic - i’d love to hear them!

[i’m also polyamorous so please don’t take this as an attack on poly people - this is just what vibe i get from each character]

Adrian Graye Vernworth

would be neutral ; would be alright with casual non-monogamy on your part and his, but probably wouldn’t be the happiest about having any metamours or thirds in your relationship - but could be convinced.

Alador Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; i feel like alador is probably monogamous but would be fine with you having other relationships - just don’t expect to have a shared third with him, he’s committed to you not someone else.

Amity Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; this would probably be a case of you being part of a triad with her and luz, so expect to have her as a metamour at least - she’d probably be okay with you branching out beyond that but prefers a closed poly relationship over anything else.

Boscha

wouldn’t be okay with having an open relationship ; is probably fine with a closed unit and having a metamour or two (though she probably wouldn’t play nice with them), but prefers monogamy for the most part - would only consider a poly dynamic if she really liked you.

Collector

would be perfectly fine with a polyamorous partner ; doesn’t expect you to be 100% romantically committed to them and doesn’t mind having any metamours so long as they can get along (and play with them) - just let them know what you want and they’ll accommodate you.

Darius Deamonne

neutral on the topic ; darius seems like someone who would be comfortable in a monogamous or polyamorous dynamic, so having a poly partner wouldn’t be much of an issue for him so long as everyone cleans up after themselves that is - 50/50 whether he’d have any other partners, though.

Edalyn Clawthorne

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; you’d probably end up being metamours with raine anyway if you’re with eda as they’re kind of a package deal, so she’d be more than up for dating a poly person.

Edric Blight

would be fine with a polyamorous partner ; it would take an adjustment period for him to get used to the dynamic, but ed would definitely branch out himself and have other relationships and casual flings of his own volition - may not reach out to his metamours, it depends on whether they’d ever actually meet in person.

Emira Blight

would accept a polyamorous partner ; em may very well have a slight polyamorous-lean to her and would comfortably settle into a closed triad dynamic, but would also accept a complete open relationship if that was what you wanted (though would probably only have one serious relationship outside of yours) - would probably make an effort with metamours to make things easier for you.

Hunter

confused but mostly supportive ; hunter grew up completely isolated from relationship things, so he probably wouldn’t give polyamory much thought until it was actively brought up - and even then, he’d likely be okay with you branching out but likely wouldn’t do very much himself (not just because he’s hopeless when it comes to flirting)

Lilith Clawthorne

happy to have a polyamorous partner ; just wants to see you happy, so while she’ll remain relatively monogamous she’s also happy to meet and get to know her metamours and help you plan things with them (especially if they’re as excited about the deadwardian era as she is).

Luz Noceda

probably also polyamorous herself ; you can’t be with luz without being somewhat close with amity as well, so having a poly partner would be ideal for luz - she’d also be the type to reach out to and befriend her metamours.

Mattholomule

wouldn’t want a polyamorous relationship ; mattholomule probably wouldn’t be the happiest with sharing a lover with others or having other partners at all - so being with a poly person either wouldn’t happen at all or would only happen if he was very very interested in the person and willing to accept that part of them.

Odalia Blight

wouldn’t particularly care ; isn’t the most committed person romantically and wouldn’t care if you had other relationships so long as she was your nesting/anchor partner - but she won’t make nice with her metamours unless it would benefit you both.

Philip Wittebane / Emperor Belos

wouldn’t tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; this man is a puritan christian so he would probably be limited to strict monogamy, potentially being incredibly possessive over his partner - so polyamory is off the table with him.

Raine Whispers

would tolerate a polyamorous relationship ; raine is one of the most supportive people ever and would probably lean towards a closed poly relationship with eda and any metamours they’d have through you - so bring it up and they’d be open.

Steve

neutral on the idea ; steve is probably completely monogamous but wouldn’t expect you to change yourself for him - would also probably reach out to his metamours to plan surprises and gifts for you and things like that (pretty chill).

Terra Snapdragon

neutral on the topic ; wouldn’t mind you being polyamorous/having others but isn’t romantically poly herself - might have a few flings here and there but don’t expect to have metamours on her end.

Willow Park

neutral on the topic ; whilst i feel like willow is probably more monogamous-leaning, she likely wouldn’t be too bothered about having a poly partner and may even be happy to help you plan dates or get to know your other partners to some extent (would bring plants as a peace offering).

Mh...fine, just bc A- i have a Soft spot for Toh and SPECIFIC the Collector and B- i think i have a concept for this.

I think it depends a lot on whether Collie got along with this Archivist!Reader before the "incident" or whether he is willing to make amends with them. Obviously he wouldn't be willing to fix things with his sibilings who sent him to Earth just to get rid of him, but with Archivist! reader, there may be possibilities.

First of all, what could have been their dynamic with Collie? maybe something similar to Blue Diamond from Steven Universe and Pink Diamond (Collector), but way healthier, I mean, Archivist!reader didn't really have much time for The Collector but they tried to do what they could to keep him happy and entertained.

Maybe they were the ones who read to Collie before bed😭 and that's why he got into the habit of sleeping with a story from the book we see in the special. Perhaps even this Archivist!reader has taught The Collector how to use the spell to turn living beings into puppets (although for another purpose, of course). in general being a figure, although somewhat absent, well-intentioned compared to his other sibilings.

However, one day Collie simply... disappears and Archivist! reader does not know what happened, but as soon as they learns about his interaction with the titans and the power they have, they becomes terrified for the child's safety. so it probably helps to a greater or lesser extent in its disappearance.

imagine their reaction when The Collector simply disappeared/was trapped ☠️ similar to Blue Diamond, Archivist! reader sinks into a great depression for Thousands of Years, mourning the loss of their younger brother.

for the events of the series the other archivists are tired of Archivist reader's sad and poor performance since the incident, so they tell them to go to earth for a while to "get some fresh air" in the hope that they will change their attitude a little.

but surprise surprise, not only when wandering around the planet Archivist! reader realizes how much the world has changed (the witches, the near destruction of the world, A TITAN IS STILL ALIVE) but The Collector IS BACK.

I like to believe that Collie knows when his siblings are around, so when Archivist! reader arrives on Earth he somehow feels that he has to go and/or starts looking for them, which could lead to a pretty nice reunion and even Something sentimental, since we come, Archivist! Reader thought he would never see his little brother again.

although The Collector definitely has many doubts that he wants answered in order to forgive his favorite brother. Although I think he himself could realize that they didn't really participate in his disastrous trip to Earth, it doesn't mean that Collie didn't have fights with them. mainly because of the titans issue.

Archivist!reader may have a difficult time accepting his fault in that matter, but more than anything because his head has been quite battered by his other brothers and because unlike Collie they have not gone through a process where they understand the importance of mortality, Surprisingly, The Collector will have to be the one to guide them this time.

Collie really wants his brother to come to his senses and see the damage they did, for them to fix it together, for things to be like before but better! Even if he is partly angry with them for the incident, he still loves them by having good memories with them.

Let's say Archivist!reader comes to his senses (less traumatic than Collector, but he does it) and accepts not only the bad things he did, but REALLY tries to fix the damage he did to the Boiling Isles. I don't think to the point of fighting with the other Archivists, but he would definitely separate himself from them.

in that case, I can definitely see Collector not only forgiving them, but also welcoming them back into the archives, in the end they both have what they needed in the first place, Archivist! reader to a new point of view of things, beyond of what they can "file" and Collie has his brother :3

I can see Archivist!reader much more present not only in Collie's life in general, but also in his games, now that they are not busy, they can play whatever he wants! They wants to make up for all the lost time, although they doesn't object to just catch up while Collie show them the islands.

Imagine that Archivist!reader collapses when they tell Collector a bedtime story again after so long 😭 since they are so happy to have him again after so many years of silence (even Collie could get sentimental too) .

definitely Archivist!reader becomes quite overprotective of their little brother, almost to the point of a helicopter parent. They stop when they realize they're overstepping their boundaries, but the trauma of The Collector's disappearance is still fresh, so he can't really be that upset (although the subsequent meetings with King are definitely a bit weird).

In general, I think they could go back to being the sibilings they were before but even better, after all now they have all the time in the world to make up for what they lost.

A small star child with stars in his eyes gleamed with joy as he looked upon his older siblings. The four beings towered over the little one, and beside them was another star child although older than the one before them and younger than the ones next to them, you.

"With the Titans!" Squeaked the youngest in a high-pitched voice. They throw open their arms and legs in joy. "Really!?" 

"But of course..." One said.

You wished you had those, you only ever had your siblings. Unconsciously you grabbed a hold of one of your siblings' cloaks, they looked down at your form and tilted their head as you were now looking back at the youngest, no longer paying attention to them.

Red Star followed your action and looked back at the small boy, where Yellow Star was now holding out their hand towards them beckoning the boy further. 

"Thank you, thank you, Thank you!" He cheered, grinning from ear to ear. The four eldest siblings smiled back. 

"Go forth, little sibling..." Blue Moon spoke. 

"Go have fun," Saturn said. 

"We'll be waiting..." Yellow Star jested.

"Right here." Red Star concluded.

And with that Red Star placed their hand on your back and guided you away from, the youngest. "Come." You abided to their demand and turned away from the young star child. 

"BYE-BYE!" 

You turned your head back round and saw a grinning Collector waving his hand goodbye. You returned his grin and waved back "Bye!! See you soon have fun!" 

"I will!" He giggled, finally turning around to enter the planet's atmosphere, his form got smaller and smaller until eventually, you could not see him.

you just wanted to play catch, but he wanted to play catch WITH you. as the ball.

"oh my titan I'm so dizzy" you weren't lying- your vision is so blurred because of how fast he was throwing you up in the air. it was very tiring

"sorry y/n! it's just so fun!!" the duel colored boy laughed, squeezing you tightly "I love playing catch!!"

"so do i, but this is definitely not what i was thinking." you hugged him back and he set you down on the ground. immediately you fell.

it's ok though because he's magic and shit so he caught you with telekinesis and put you on pillows. what a loving boyfriend

"i wanna snuggle with you y/n move over" you did as he asked and were immediately pulled into his warm embrace

↳ He meets you during the hunting Palismen episode. You and Luz had been sitting in the little house the bat queen had for the babies so she could have a Palismen.

↳ You had gotten your Palismen the day before along with the rest of your class and Luz gave you several nicknames, trying to figure out which ones would suit you and your baby best.

↳ It took her 20 minutes I shall add.

↳ Anyway- when Hunter came to take the Palismen back to Belos, he heard Luz use your nickname, and just assumed it was your real name.

↳ This dork however, didn’t bother using your ‘name’ and instead called you ‘wild witch’. Any witch associated with the human is known as a wild witch.

↳ Basically up until you’re all in the human realm, Hunter only knows you as N/n, and doesn’t really question you about whatsoever.

↳ Then Luz introduces all of you to Vee and Camila, where she uses your real name.

↳ “And this is Y/n, but we all call them N/n cause it matches their Palismen.”

↳ Hunter just stands there, processing the information.

↳This boy is so clueless, that he asks you about, wanting you to confirm it.

↳ “N/n isn’t your real name like Luz said, right?”

When you get (badly) injured

Amity: PANICC. She is calling Emira so fucking fast. Once the initial panic calms down she wraps abomination goo around the wound. Once Emria shows up she majorly calms down. Once Emria is done she makes sure you're fully alright.

Luz: Screaming and crying. I'm joking but she is scared. She quickly gets wrap-around band-aids with normal fun band-aids on top. Makes sure you are healing properly. Will not tolerate you overexerting yourself. She'll help you do anything that requires you to move the part of your body that you hurt.

Willow: Tries her best to be calm. She disinfects and badges you up. Then nearly kills you with a bear hug. She is slightly more protective of you for the next week or two (I.E. any time you fall a bunch of vines sprout up stopping you from falling.)

Hunter: More shaken up than you. He has a lot of knowledge on how to bandage wounds after being in the Emperor's coven. He shakily disinfects the wound and puts wrap-around bandages on it. He keeps asking if you're okay over and over. He is overprotective of you afterward. Overall pretty okay.

Vee: Has no clue what to do. While she was in captivity she rarely got majorly hurt. She quickly fetches Luz and Camila and asks them for advice. Camila is way more helpful than Luz. (also get ready for at least one hour of cuddles.)

Raine: They are so very worried about you :(. Since they led multiple rebel groups they have informed themselves on how to properly patch up a wound. Gives you painkillers when they can. Also helps you rest with a bard spell.

Eda: "Pretends to be all cold-hearted but actually cares a lot!" She has bought potions to help heal people so she gives you one of them. After you fully healed she cuddles with you in her nest. She's in harpy mode and has her wings wrapped around you.

Emira: She can heal you herself. So she isn't really worried at all. She gives you a lot of kisses though. 10/10 would recommend as a caretaker.

Edric: He panics. Hard. He gives you healing potions like Eda. You do heal pretty quickly (especially compared to how much he panicked.) He does baby you even a week after you fully heal-

The Collector: They can just heal you with a snap of their fingers lmao.

Lilith: She is actually pretty calm. In the same vein as Raine and Hunter, she used to basically be second in command of the Emperor's coven. So she calmly patches you up. While lecturing you to be more careful.

Gus: Very sad to see you hurt. He swiftly gets one of his friends. Most likely Willow. Gives you so many hugs.

may I suggest the collector x reader where he wants to play truth or dare and then he asks for a truth who the reader has a crush on and the reader tries to lie but the collector gets it out eventually.

"Truth or dare?" Collector questions popping up out of nowhere. Rolling your eyes with a smile used to his antics and surprise visits, you supposed you weren't really doing anything else. Sitting criss-cross on your bed with a plate of food on your lap and a glass in your hand you think about his question but your thoughts wander.

Today was a relaxing day in the Emperor's Coven and other than your little shadow friend showing up it had been really quiet. You decided to have lunch in your room and take a day to catch up on paperwork trusting your scouts to go about their schedule without your guidance but it seemed the Collector picked up on your plans and decided to drop by. "Truth or Dare?" He questions again getting closer as he repeats his question getting impatient.

"Hmmmmm..." You remember last time you agreed to say dare and decided to play it safe hoping you could keep damage to a minimum while still appeasing your friend. "Truth." You finally answer, curious on what the little guy will ask you. Groaning he throws his head back and floats away from you.

"Ugh boring... fine!" He states before looking around your room as he scans his mind for what to ask. Taking a bite of your food, letting him think about the question he wants answered you finish your bite. Starting to sip your drink your eyes focus on the shadow boy waiting for him to tell you your question. "Tell me your crush!" He finally blurts out looking really excited at his idea.

You start to choke not expecting him to ask that. Letting out giggles at your reaction he puts his head in his hands and floats around your room kicking his feet as he waits for your answer.

"... my crush?" You ask surprised as your face slowly started to darken. He gets super close and nods making your face flush even brighter. Your eyes dart to your wall focusing on a certain Golden Guard before you quickly look away staring at your food instead.

On your wall theres several pictures. There's lots of you and the covenheads at events, you and your fellow captains at work, the team you were appointed, your first year as scout class, you becoming an official part of the Emperor's Coven, and many more relaxed photos of you and Hunter. Realizing that's the one you had focused on you take another bite of your food trying not to give it away. What if he told Belos? No Collector wouldn't do that, Belos didn't know he even talked to you. But... oh Titan, what if he started messing with you and Hunter?

"Well........" Collector asks and you don't make eye contact as you keep eating.

"Nope don't have one!" You respond much to Collectors annoyance. He spins around before turning and narrowing his eyes at you.

"You're not playing fairrrrrrrrrr!" He whines. Stifling a chuckle you force more food in your face so he has to wait to ask you another question. He watches you curiously before he turns his head. His eyes go to the wall where you'd just been staring. "Oh a guessing game!!!" He states suddenly and your eyes widen.

"Collector no!" You argue swallowing your food quickly to try and stop him but he doesn't listen and just laughs as he begins messing with your photos.

"We're the bestest of friends so it can't be me!" Collector chirps despite the fact he's not even on the photo wall for safety reasons. After all you weren't supposed to know about him.

His finger suddenly taps Emperor Belos, the picture being you rising in rank and him congratulating you for your hard work. His staff pressed against your shoulder as all your coworkers stood around you congratulating you. "Too old, too mean." He states and you suddenly feel the need to defend your boss. Opening your mouth Collector beats you too it, making another comment. "Hmmmm... Raven lady she's also too old. She's pretty though and nice to you." He hums tapping Lilith's face before he moves onto a different picture. "Raine... They're the most fun!" Collector states as he looks at the way you hold your instruments in the photo before shaking his head. "But they're too old. You work with a lot of old people." He teases. Crossing your arms he just chcukled continuing.

"Okay that leaves... EberWolf. No too slobbery. Vitimir? Ugh potion breath. Terra is ancient and also mean." Collector frowns as he squints. "Adrain is mean spirited and not funny or fun. Hettie is scary. Orsan could be your grandpa. Darius is up there on the list but still too old." Taping his finger to his chin as he continues to look at all the photos you sign in relief thinking he's going to give up.

"See I don't-" Before you can finish your statement a shadow silhouette of Hunter is staring at you. The black and white form of Collector mimicking your crush smiles widely at you as you swallow.

"I win the guessing game!!!" Collector states through Hunters shadow form before erupting into a fit of giggles and morphing himself back. "So you and the plant huh?" He questions.

"... The plant?" You ask confused. Did he mean Hunter? Collector suddenly covers his mouth as if he said something he wasn't supposed to. Staring at you he begins to backtrack.

"I mean the Golden boy! The blonde haired brat! The prince! The Emperor's personal Guard! Boy who gets hearts every time you walk by!!!" Collector begins to blurt out other nicknames and descriptions. The more he gives you the more your face brightens.

"Okay. Okay. I get it." You murmur embarrassed. Collector giggles again and you look back at him.

"My turn! Dare!" Looking up at Collector you don't trust that look in his eye as he urges you to go on and tell him your dare. So much for a peaceful day.

I'm not doing Headcanons thoug.

I feel that if The Collector felt that his mother/father figure was not paying enough attention to him he would simply say it, he is a VERY direct child and he really has no shame, so if he feels that you are doing something wrong, he will tell you without much effort. touch (unless you teach him what touch is).

He doesn't really get angry with his mother/father figure in those types of cases, as long as he gives him pampering and attention everything is fine👍✨

Now, if it were a person who distracted attention from him, we must take into account which Collector we are talking about.

the Collector during the series would probably turn him into a puppet and take his mother/father figure away to play, without really feeling sorry because he feels that person deserves it for "wanting to steal his baba"

If their father/mother figure asks them VERY VERY well, they will remove the spell, but not without pouting.

The Collector matures a little after the series, but he is more discouraged than anything else, he acts more like a child waiting for his parents to stop talking to his friends on the phone. although as soon as they stop talking to that person, he becomes especially clingy with them and seeks reassurance that they love him.

not jealous per se, but he's definitely a little afraid of his mother/father figure moving away from him.

Hunter is a similar case, we need to know which version we are referring to.

Hunter Goldguard definitely uses his position to his advantage to take the "attention thief" away from his mother/father figure and then takes them away for "matters of utmost importance" which is just him ranting about that person and how insufferable they are.

Hunter doesn't really intervene when his mother/father figure is distracted by something, because he doesn't want to upset them (thanks Belos). but when it's a person it's a different story, and it's always jealousy/anger directed towards that person, not their mother/father figure.

"Normal" Hunter is more than anything a little capricious with the attention of his mother/father figure, saying certain comments that show his discontent, but not really hostile. Similarly to Collie, he will wait for his mother/father figure to finish speaking, but angrier.

Then (ask pretty please) he will demand that the mother/father figure teach him something new to make up for the lost time (if they want).

Hunter at the end of the series would not really feel jealous that the attention is not on him, maybe he will try to enter the conversation and such, try to socialize as his mother/father figure wants✨

The collector adores you, he’s always trying to get you in on their fun and will whine when you don’t because you’re so “busy” and calls you boring. He’s truly just like a little brother that always wants to spend time with you, and probably copies a lot of the stuff you do in order to be more like you. They try to be just as affectionate as well, but to be frank he wouldn’t notice if people are scared of him. He’s a bit of a naive child, easily lied to.
