Tokyo Disneyland's really going out of their way to spread the absolute, objective truth about the one and only Donald Duck.

Donald is the best at what he does, and what he does is the best. Everyone is here celebrating the Duck of the year!

Even though it rained almost the entire day I visited, the adoration for this number one duck would brighten anyone's day.

So thank you, Donald Duck, for 90 years of being you.

In some unexpected, but exciting news, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that Tokyo Disneyland is set to receive an attraction based on the popular Wreck-It Ralph film franchise! The new Sugar Rush attraction is scheduled to open in Tomorrowland at Tokyo Disneyland during fiscal year 2026 or later.
The upcoming attraction will replace Buzz Lightyear’s Astro Blasters, slated for closure in October 2024. Sugar Crush will be an indoor interactive gameplay experience perfect for guests all ages. The reimagined attraction will be the first Wreck-It Ralph-themed ride at any Disney Park worldwide.
According to Disney, the attraction will see guests enter the candy-themed racing game Sugar Rush, which is being attacked by Sugar Bugs – glitches created by King Candy. Guests will team up with the beloved film characters Ralph and Vanellope to transform the Sugar Bugs back to their original “kawaii” confectionery including as cookies and cakes.
Tokyo Disney Resort has released concept art of the ride experience, featuring guests aboard omnimover ride vehicles equipped with laser guns, zapping away Sugar Bugs. Additional renderings have been released of the Sugar Rush ride entrance, alongside the revitalized Tomorrowland Square, as depicted in the concept art for the forthcoming Space Mountain rebuild and Tomorrowland renovation.
In addition to with the opening of Sugar Rush, Tokyo Disney Resort has announced that the adjacent shop “Planet M” will also be renovated and rethemed to fit into the colourful world of Wreck It Ralph.

Melanie always wondered if ghosts could blush. So she tries her hand with Kimiko, just to see.
More Kimiko (Tokyo Bride) and Melanie because they are my best girls 🥰 my fav haunted mansion themed otp.
The only fanart they ever get is my own 😭 it’s such a shame to let a beautiful romance go to waste. I will do whatever I can to fill this empty void in my heart for my ghost lesbians.

The new fairy Tinker Bell's busy buggies ride is absolutely brimming with enchanting references! Here are some I very much enjoyed:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you enter, your eyes are immediately drawn to Tinkerbell's familiar  teapot house, a wholesome sight straight out of the movies.
In the queue line there’s a harmonica with the words "London 1911" delicately engraved on it. In the year 1911 the book ‘Peter Pan and Wendy’ was published by Hodder & Stoughton, London.
On the floor is a giant coin with the same stylized portrait of Queen Victoria as featured in the first Tinker Bell movie.
The crayons that make up the queue line makes a great homage to Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue.  Referencing the crayons that little Lizzy uses to draw in her books, as she documented Tinker Bell's knowledge of the fairy world.
There is a massive sign proudly proclaiming "Tinker's Nook". This is the enchanted area of Neverland where all the Tinker fairies live and work.
Tinker Bell has written some schematics on a leaf and has included a note to ask Terrance to help source the materials.
There's an adorable little dew drop, reminiscent of the ones in the first movie.
On the map of Pixie Hollow by the compass you can see Queen Clarion!
As the ride enters the winter section you can hear Gruff and see his green eyes shining out through the dark.
In the queue line you can hear a multitude of music from the Disney Fairies movies such as an instrumental version of ‘Fly To Your Heart’ from the first film, and the score from the Legend of the Neverbeast.
This is unbelievably exciting as the Disney fairies franchise was sadly discontinued in 2014 and this is the first time since a park has created an attraction around it.
