c!tommy was canonically 11 years old when when he was exiled.
his exile was canonically 5 years.
everything that happened to him during exile caused su1cidal ideations & even an attempt.
he was a child.
and people still say ctommy deserved what happened to him, because he was annoying?
he was a child. he did not deserve that, especially not over simply being annoying

One thing I wanna say about this tweet:
Tumblr media
That I have yet to see mentioned is that it completely disproves both the "Tommy deserved exile" idea and the "Dream did it because he cared for George" idea.
Sure, neither of those held up before either, but this truly gave it the final blow.
"c!Dream liked the feeling of power and control that c!Tommy's friends exiling him gave him" that's it. That was his motive for pushing for exile so much.
He liked the power. He liked the control. He didn't care that it was George's house that got lightly scratched. He didn't do it because Tommy's behaviour was uniquely bad and he wanted to uphold law and order. He did it because Tommy was the cool kid he wanted to have entirely under his control.
Like, I know I dunk a lot on c!Dream apologists, but no one does it like cc!Dream does it

It's really frustrating that Dream SMP, a story that carefully approached and evoked such a sensitive subject as child abuse, in the most realistic way possible, as well as gave the real-life abuse victims the representation they deserved, didn't get the proper finale that would be mindful of its impact on real life. Not to mention the poor decisions in character and narrative development that only grew worse as the story progressed.
I have a serious complaint about the duration of c!Dream's imprisonment, in terms of narrative development. Keeping c!Dream imprisoned for a whole year added nothing to the plot and only limited the possibilities for the subsequent lore. The first few months were crucial, indeed, as this is when the key events (such as c!Tommy's, c!Bad's, c!Ranboo's and c!Sapnap's visits, the lockdown, c!Tommy's death and revival, c!Dream's torture, and c!Techno's imprisonment) of the prison arc took place (besides his escape, but it could've been carried out earlier, and it wouldn't have changed anything). But I doubt we'd have lost anything if the rest of this arc had been erased. Obviously, the plot's stagnation was caused by the majority of the CCs losing interest in the lore, and as a result, creating lore solely for the views, rather than with passion, as it used to be in the beginning.
Unfortunately, this lack of interest in lore not only resulted in general disappointment due to the lack of complexity in lore, but it spread the victim blaming, that had been ingrained in this fandom nearly since the beginning.
c!Dream's vulnerable position in the prison arc, especially due to the torture, resulted in c!Dream apologists receiving more content with sympathetic c!Dream, infantilising him to the limit, and using it to shift the blame to c!Tommy in particular, as well as the rest of the server, for allowing this to happen. They completely ignored the fact that c!Dream's behaviour during anyone else's visits but c!Tommy's, was an act; after all, they could always say c!Tommy deserved it for being annoying, so why even try using critical thinking? The constant infantilisation of c!Dream was extremely uncomfortable and ableist, and the escalating portrayal of c!Tommy as the ultimate threat and cause of all problems, was harmful to the real-life abuse victims. We shouldn't forget that fiction greatly influences our beliefs and perception of life, and if one excuses blatant abuse in fiction, they may see no wrong in doing the same in real life, if the consequences allow them to. Obviously, it'd probably be a rare exception, but ignoring this possibility completely would certainly do no good.

After the dsmp is long gone and is nothing but ruins and remnants of the past, on a particular cold night, Tommy, dirty blonde hair with a streak of white and a pair of blood red devil horns that curved slightly and stuck to his head, a pair of red and white Converses that had definitely seen better days, (just like a lot of other things on the server) his slightly torn up and poorly patched red and white t-shirt, his faded and stained beige shorts, plus his tail that was a red while being slight fuzzy and dragged on the floor, a pale blue cardigan made with wool from a certain blue sheep, scars that ranged from small cuts from his tail to explosion scars, and finally, his eyes that were a dull blue almost grey, held bloody and teary memories, filled with violence and conflict.
Strolling along beside what remains of the prime path and he thinks about what could have been or really, what shouldn't have been, like how he should have never gone near George's house and just stayed in line,
Tubbo wouldn't have been hurt, ranboo wouldn't have been killed, he wouldn't have almost half the server wanting his head on a stick, Wilbur... Wouldn't have left.
But then again he was bound to have made trouble sooner or later right? I mean he was Tommy, the annoying, loud, and obnoxious child, prime he wishes he wasn't like this, now he snapped at people for the smallest of things, he doesn't mean to, he doesn't want to, and he gets just because he feels guilty doesn't justify any of it, not even his past, he still hurt people, he knows that but he wished people understood a little.
He also wished Wilbur hadn't left, their relationship wasn't perfect, far from it, but it was his home, they both built L'manburg together, which he loved because he built it, but he mainly loved it because Wilbur built it with him, because Wilbur was there, it wasn't L'manburg that was home, it was him, Wilbur was Tommy's home.
(sorry I just felt like ranting)

Im kinda thinking about how dumb are people to blame ctommy for what happened with dream last stream as if dream didnt plan on killing everyone regardless. GIRLIES THAT WAS WHY HE WAS DOING EXPERIMENTS, HE WASNT JUST BEING GOOFY HE WAS SCHEMING, IDK HOW MANY TIMES WE CAN WATCH CDREAM BLATANTLY PLOT TO DESTROY THE SERVER BEFORE WE AGREE HES THE BAD GUY.

Controversial dsmp statement that appeared in my drunken brain:
cRanboo was to cTechno what cTommy never could be.
And in the end, he lost both of them and it was his own fault.

Something I will never forgive inniters for doing i think is for turning on ctubbo and spreading the narrative that he was selfish during the exile arc
As if he didn't fight for cTommy to get lighter punishment in the midst of his cabinet trying to undermine him, pressure from outside sources to punish more severely lest they start another war, and cTommy himself fighting against everything ctubbo decided on

I think the reason that c!Tommy apologists get so mad about the existence of c!Dream apologists is because they expect those who call themselves c!Dream apologists to treat c!Dream the way they treat c!Tommy.聽
That is, an innocent child who has never done anything wrong and if he did, it was justified. A perfect victim.
In reality that鈥檚 not c!Tommy, but they pretend it is. So they expect c!Dream apologists to do the same. They expect them to believe that c!Dream is perfectly innocent or at least justified in everything.
Truth is, most c!Dream apologists are not apologists in the way c!Tommy apologists are apologists. They just think that he鈥檚 not pure evil and has reasons for most of the bad things he鈥檚 done (which are not excuses).聽
