here’s my vision

i’m thinking they meet when tommy is at the 118 (he’s out and abby doesn’t exist) and josh is still pretty new at dispatch.

there is a string of fires that is happening around LA and somehow the same guy is calling them in and is saving people. there is like no real solid evidence that he is involved and it could just be a coincidence but it is far too sus. both tommy and josh (separately) are very curious about wtf is going on so they both go to the guys house to investigate, on the same night at the same time.

they have a lil “erm wtf” moment before they both get their heads back into the mystery. tommy takes the lead with it and is rambling on about all the potential explanations and josh is just like “hmm, yeah sure.” and is following him around, bc josh isn’t blind. this is a very sexy firefighter in his close proximity who is a little bit crazy and he likes it.

anyway they are skulking around this guys garden, going through his trash, trying to see if he’s home so they could break in for research purposes but they get caught and arrested for trespassing. while they are locked in the jail cell they getting properly talking and josh is full on smitten at this point. then bobby shows up and he has his tired dad look on his face (bc pls tommy is canonically lowkey crazy ofc he was a shit when he was at the 118 he was bobby’s og pain). bobby bails them out and they both leave without trading numbers and josh is gutted.

BUT tommy shows up to dispatch the next day and asks josh on a date and then the rest is history 🙂‍↕️

Hottest Take: I honestly don't agree with the whole "Buck always makes things about himself" narrative the 118+fam are always spinning. And also the way they still sometimes treat him like a child? I hate it.

This was supposed to be for rarepair week but I didn’t finish it in time and set it aside for a while. Anyways, it’s established TommyJosh and they add Eddie in. This bit is from them dancing at a club.

Eddie was so close, forehead pressed against his own, their breaths mingling. At some point Eddie had pulled Josh flush against him, his hardon pressed against Josh’s own, sending shivers of pleasure through him as they moved to the beat.

“Can I kiss you?” Josh asked, the words tumbling out of him, sounding more like one word than a whole sentence.

Eddie seemed to pause, but Tommy gave Eddie’s hands a reassuring squeeze where they lay together on Josh’s hips. That seemed to be all Eddie needed before he was slotting their lips together, gentle at first, but more firm and insistent as they continued to kiss.

Tommy moaned in Josh’s ear. “Fuck, that’s hot.”

Josh pulled away to give Tommy a kiss, the angle a little awkward, but no less hot. “You should kiss him too.”

“Yeah?” Tommy said, locking eyes with Eddie. “Do you want to kiss me, Eddie?”

Eddie nodded and then Tommy was kissing him over Josh’s shoulder, hot and needy, their little moans and gasps loud in his ear. He felt their hands tighten on his hips.

He decided there was nowhere else he’d rather be than sandwiched between these two men.

I’m just playing with the dynamics of Teddiejock like paper dolls at this point but actually the only configuration that doesn’t work to me is Buddie and TommyJosh as separate units. I just don’t have any way of seeing the latter as compatible except as bitchy queens who hate on other people and that’s so much more fun when it’s Jeddie.
