A/N: Cannot believe I didn't make this before. Its here now so come and get your food Avatar lovers!
JAKE SULLY
He's whimpering loudly the whole time he's between your legs, both careful and eager to please, almost at war with the two. Your taste leaves him drunk, the only thought in his head being how to get more of it, how to make your pussy squirt all over his face while you dig your nails into his scalp to grind against his mouth better.
NETEYAM
Man with the plan for sure. He is very slow and deliberate in the way he uses his fingers to part your folds, rubbing then in between while his mouth is glued to your little clit, sucking it to full hardness in his mouth. You look so pretty already, he could and will get lost between your legs for hours, all the way to dawn, memorizing every way your body aches and moves, how you moan for him, until he doesn't even need to think about it, he can just make you come.
LO'AK
Goes down on you very fast and sloppy. Your juices are smearing his chin, his chest, his fingers but he doesn't care how messy it is, all he cares about is making you make as many of those pretty noises as possible. He's playfully pressing his fangs against your clit, they're cold to the touch, right before he warms it with his curious and adventurous tongue.
TSU'TEY
Is a little hesitant at first. Not because he doesn't want to but because well... he could hurt you if he's not careful. You're so fragile compared to him, your human body much more prone to injury. The only way he will do it is if you sit on his face while he does. Oh fuck, he didn't expect how hot that would be, your pussy all puffy and wet, dripping onto his tongue, practically begging to be devoured by him. He was never one to back down from an offer that sweet.
MILES QUARITCH
Teases you for hours and hours, dragging orgasm after orgasm from you, his jaw starting to hurt a little but he ain't no quitter. He's not stopping until you literally beg him to. And even then he can't guarantee he'll have mercy on you. Hearing your broken moans, seeing you twitching just from a single lick makes him feel so damn smug, so damn proud to call you his woman. Ain't no one in the universe with pussy as sweet as yours.
AONUNG
He's eating you out in the ocean, keeping you up above the water with his tail. You might think he wouldn't be able to taste you but he can, your taste is always on his tongue. You may not be able to hear him growling against you but you sure as hell can feel him do it, feel the warm temperature of his tongue passing through your folds, pressing against your clit and dipping into your pussyhole for a better taste.
TONOWARI
He's got you on all fours, lapping at your pussy from behind and keeping you still with his strong, thick tail. You're bucking and bucking but to no avail, you can't get closer unless he lets you. And he's not letting you, he's in charge of your pleasure, the sooner you learn that the more orgasms you'll have. It works the other way around as well, be his good girl now and he'll let you do what ever you want for his cock later.

summary: To thank Tonowari for allowing your family into the Metkayina clan, you gift him a flower that you had picked from the forest before you fled your home. What you don’t realise is the the flower becomes toxic when near water, and Tonowari is experiencing all of the side effects: being left with a hard ache in his pants, and an overwhelming desire for relief.
“What is this, little one?” There’s a beat of hesitancy from Tonowari, whose light blue eyes scan your yellow ones in confusion. “I have not seen this before.”
“This is an irayo flower,” you tell him gently, your ears pricking upwards slightly as he clasps the flower in his big hands, examining it carefully. “It is a gift. I’m very grateful you’ve allowed my family to stay here.”
Tonowari clears his throat, satisfied with your answer. He holds the flower gently, appreciative of the pink and purple hues, his eyes flickering up to scan the horizon. He wonders how many flowers you must have picked before you fled your home. He can only imagine the pain you must be in, the grief - leaving your clan behind and everything you once knew, with nothing but flowers and trinkets to hold your memories.
“Thank you. It’s… lovely,” Tonowari nods his head in acknowledgement, trying ignore how his heart clenches in his chest as your lips quirk upwards into a gentle smile, relief washing over your features. “But it is getting dark, little one, and your father may be growing worried by your absence. JakeSully does not strike me as the type of man to appreciate defiance.”
You nod your head, eyes flickering between the Metkayinan leader and his flower, pleased that he accepted your act of gratitude. You turn heel, bidding him a meek farewell, before scurrying off to your family hut, excited to tell your father about your day.
Two days later, you are in Tonowari’s presence again, only this time, he does not appear pleased, and certainly does not look kind. There’s a stern look on his face as he approaches you - his lips are set in a thin line, and his body is tense, his eyes unwavering as they stare directly into yours.
“That flower is poisonous. You have gifted me a poisonous flower.” Tonowari declares, his lips curling in disgust as he shoves the flower in your face, before crumbling it into his hand. A wave of disappointment shoots through you as it falls to the floor, looking bent and pathetically broken. “I have been kind to your family, and this is how you have repaid me?”
You frown, shaking your head as you stare down at the flower. “No. You’re - you’re wrong - I gifted you an irayo flower. It is said to promote peace and to help bring comfort.”
“Comfort?” Tonowari seethes, so loudly that it sounds like a hiss, and your body stills when you notice his ears pinning threateningly against his head. “It has done the opposite of bringing me comfort. In fact, I am in incredible pain.”
Your own ears flitter backwards, your head bowing downwards in fear, and his heart pulls because he doesn’t wish to scare you, but he is terrible discomfort. Even simply suggesting to you that he is in pain is a massive understatement. Ever since being in possession of that stupid flower (which he couldn’t stop sniffing because it reminded him so badly of you) his cock had been aching. At first, he assumed it was because he hadn’t been around such a desirable women since Ronal, but that thought soon disappeared when the ache only got worse.
Even now, staring down at you, the ache overwhelms him. You overwhelm him. That stupid flower overwhelms him. His senses are heightened, and his heart is racing, and his cock is so hard, throbbing with a painful need.
And when you stare up at him meekly, trying to calm down your own rapidly beating heart, before muttering, “I’m sorry, Tonowari,” the helpless throbbing of his cock only gets worse. But then your eyes glimmer with hope, your hands pressing against his abdomen, and you ask, “is there anything I can do to help?”
“Would you? Would you help?” He asks, trying to ignore the desperate pulsing of his cock at your words, grumbling as you nod your head in time with his words.
“I feel obligated to help. It’s my fault you’re in pain, Tonowari,” you whisper, your hand cool against his hot abdomen, your placement friendly, nothing more, but Tonowari’s eyes glimmer with need as you splay your fingers across his skin. “Just tell me what I need to do.”
“It’s wrong of me to ask,” he breathes, his eyelids fluttering as you frown, shaking your head. You seem more than eager to help, trying to cool Tonowari down with the cold of your skin, and it’s helping. Your touch is easing the throbbing of his cock, and he knows that it’s wrong and that you’re Jake Sully’s daughter, but you gave him that damned flower.
You got yourself into this mess. “It is not wrong of you to ask anything of me, Tonowari. I have made you incredibly sick. What must I do to help you?”
It’s incredibly lucky that you’re by the coral shore, sheathed by tall, jagged rocks. It is pure, genuine luck that Tonowari has you here alone, covered by the natural environment of Pandora to save your dignity. “Get on your knees, little one,” he murmurs, his voice so low it resembles that of a growl. When you quirk your brow line up in confusion, he repeats sternly, “get on your knees.”
There’s a slight thrill which rushes to your core as you do what he says. Tonowari is so much larger than you - being of the Metkayina clan, he is built to withstand the conditions of water, and his body is much thicker than yours. His strong thighs flex as your fingers splay over them, your dark blue skin contrasting with the light of his own.
“You have no idea what pain your gift has burdened me with,” Tonowari grunts, and your eyes widen slightly as he begins to pull his loincloth to one side, slightly beginning to expose his length.
“Tonowari, what are you doing? This is not right,” you whisper from beneath him, trying to calm down your racing heart as he shushes you from above, a hiss rattling past his lips as he abandons his loincloth to the sandy floor.
“You said you would help. This is how you can do it.” He says simply, watching as your lips part in wonder, because you haven’t ever seen anything quite like it.
There have not been many suitors in your lifetime - none brave enough to face the wrath of your father - and you’d never even felt the touch of a man before, especially not in such a sensual manner. Yet here you are, knelt before Tonowari, his fingers softly trailing through your curls, your eyes set on his cock, which is so angry and hard that you feel somewhat afraid. A distorted gasp escapes your mouths as his cocks involuntarily pulses, his tip leaking with thick, white cum.
“I had no idea the flower had this effect on men,” You breathe softly, trying to calm the wavering of your voice as Tonowari’s hands guide your own to his cock. His strong fingers curl around yours, encouraging you to wrap your hand around his length, which you do, flinching as it pulses in your hand. “Does it hurt?”
The innocence in your voice and the your uneven breathing makes Tonowari’s eyelids flutter shut. You are just perfect - the right amount of innocent moulded perfectly with the right amount to please, and he wonders if he could even convince you to suck it. “It hurts more than you’d know. It’s unbearable,” he murmurs, coursing your hands up and down his length slowly, hissing as you slowly begin to take over his motions.
Tonowari is just tall enough to see over the rocks, onto his large stretch of land. The communal area is full, boasting with people celebrating over a successful hunt, and his heart tugs as he realises you’re practically stroking his cock in public. There’s hesitancy in your motions, but he doesn’t care - the smooth movement of your hand is enough for him, easing the once overbearing ache which pulsated through his cock every few seconds.
It’s more than obvious that you don’t know what you’re doing - your breath is teasingly fanning over his length, your lips almost close enough to brush over his tip, and it takes everything in Tonowari not to jut his hips forwards and force his length into your mouth. “I need more,” he tells you, his fingers playing at your hair, gently trailing through your curls, careful not to catch onto the strands too harshly. “Put it in your mouth. That will ease the pain greatly - it will almost completely get rid of it.”
You frown, unbelieving. The sandy floor is harsh on your knees, and your hands begin to slow their motion, stilling when Tonowari juts his cock closer to your face. It’s difficult to ignore the way your stomach flips with arousal when his jaw clenches as your tongue comes out to lick a wet stripe up the base of his cock. Your eyes are glued to his face, gasping softly as his nose crinkles when your tongue makes contact with his cock.
“Does this really help?” You ask, hesitant, eyes fixating now on his length, which stands hard and proud in front of you. “It seems like there may be better ways to go about this. Like - like you, giving yourself some relief.”
“I have tried to give myself relief,” Tonowari huffs from above you, his eyes narrowing condescendingly, as though he can’t believe your fiery tone. “That flower you gifted me does not allow for relief. I cannot relieve myself - where do you think I have been for the past two days? On a voyage, travelling the seas like a young warrior?”
You blink up at him, unnerving, his cock pulsating in your hands. His nostrils flare and his fingers tug at your hair softly. “No. I have been rutting against my bed like a recently mated Na’vi. The only relief I get is when I see you, little one,” he growls, his fingers now curling in your hair, a yelp slipping past your lips when he tugs you forwards. “So I advise that you put me between your lips and suck.”
There’s one final beat of hesitancy that passes through the air before you do what he says. Tonowari’s muscles flex under your fingers as you take him your mouth - your lips wrapping against his cock pathetically, a quiet whine leaving you as you begin to bob your head up and down his length. It’s intrusive, and it tastes funny - salty, but good, and he thrusts instinctively, your throat constricting as he does so.
And for Tonowari, it’s like the pain is melting away. The feeling of your tongue rolling up and down his length as you take him in your mouth eases the insufferable ache. Sure, his cock is still throbbing - desperate for uncertain relief, but he’s got what he wanted for now.
It would be wrong of him to complain. “Just like that, little one,” Tonowari hisses, his eyes flickering over to the camp, satisfied when he notices no lingering eyes. “Take in more. Come on, little one, I believe you can do it.”
The softness of his voice sends goosebumps shooting up and down your arms. Your stomach flips as you do what he says, gagging pathetically as you force your head down, your eyes pricking with tears, and it almost knocks the breath out of Tonowari’s lungs, his cock twitching in your mouth when tears begin to stream down your dark blue cheeks.
You want to speak but you can’t, and you feel so ashamed and embarassed that you don’t even try. Tonowari notices, but he doesnt care - you’ve put him through enough pain already, and the shame you feel will soon wash away; instead, he’s focused on chasing his own high.
He’ll feel bad later on, when you’re defiled and confused, when he has to claim you as his mate. But not right now - no, he’s focusing on himself, and the feeling of your lips wrapped around his length is just perfect. Your tongue runs over every textured rib and every vein, working skilfully as though you’ve done this before.
And you haven’t, and you’re struggling, so Tonowari decides that enough is enough. His stomach flips slightly, and he tries to ignore the urge to grab your head and fuck your throat - he wants to be gentle with you, seeing how you’re such a sweet little flower, so he is. “I’m going to finish,” he grits out, his hands harsh on your head as he grips your hair, “and I need you to swallow, okay, little one? It will be salty, but it’s safe to eat.”
You blink your tears away, nodding softly in acknowledgement, flinching as Tonowari’s balls squelch against your chin, which is wet with your spit. There’s a split second he stills - a split second where the pain in the back of your throat from his intrusion eases - but it doesn’t last. He cums, and you grimance, unused to such a salty mixture in your mouth, trying to focus on the praises which spew from Tonowari’s lips.
“You have done so well, little one,” he tells you once you’ve pulled away, cooing at your teary eyes. “You have done perfect. All of the pain is gone. You’re a perfect little medic.”
You beam up at him, and he watches as your wet little lashes bat as he speaks to you. You cling onto every word, oblivious of just how pretty Tonowari finds you, happy to help the Metikyan leader at any chance. “It doesn’t hurt?”
“No. The pain is all gone.” Tonowari says, beckoning you to stand up with his open palm. You take his hand your heart straining in your chest as his fingers curl around your own. “Thank you for your help, little one. It is greatly appreciated.”
Defeat pulses through you as Tonowari begins to guide you back to the communal campfire, but his hand doesn’t slip from yours. There’s kindness behind the gesture, but also possession, too, and you try to ignore the way your heart sinks when you notice your father gazing at you from your hut.
“My family will be waiting for me,” you say, meekly, your hand slipping from Tonowari’s grasp defeatedly. Your fingers splay over his chest gently, kindly, and you murmur, “the flower becomes toxic when presented with water for too long. I presume that was your mistake. But if you find yourself in a similar position again, needing support, then I am always free to help you.”
Tonowari grins, his eyes flickering over towards your father, whose hands are now resting on his hips. “Go to your hut, little one. Your father is waiting - you are late for curfew.”
There’s something teasing in his tone, an edge of playfulness, and your cheeks flush as you stalk away from him, trying to ignore how your heart flips when you think back to minutes before, where you were kneeled in front of Tonowari whilst he pumped his seed into your mouth.
You shamefully wonder in excitement if he will ever do such thing again.

Yo I got something! How ea tonowari x reader x Ronal? Let's saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay after 1-2 years after the war, a human goes to visit the sully family (for whatever reason) and the leaders saw her being covered in tattoos but are vastly different and are immediately intrigued by her. I'm going through a viking phase and I saw theirs tattoo designs and I'm like AAAAAAAAAHHH THEY LOOK SEXY!!!
Familiar Markings
Ask and you shall receive, boo~ I got a little carried away here… it’s 2.6k… but that’s fine! :3

- It had been all too long. You were there every step of the way and you missed them dearly. What were their lives like now? Were they all okay? Those were the questions you asked yourself almost daily. So you made up your mind and decided to visit them. You were a pilot, so transportation posed no problem but still, you asked Norm what he thought about your idea. After all, you couldn’t just show up there out of the blue (pun intended).
- Norm was a little hesitant at first but saw no big problem with visiting, so the two of you decided to give Jake a heads up to not cause a mass panic when you arrived. And then you were on your way.
- You got in your trusty old helicopter and off you were! It was a pretty long flight, so you had enough time to think about what to do when you got there. The only exciting news that you had was your new tattoo. You got it done a few months ago, on your left upper arm, a nice addition to the little collection you’d accumulated over the years.
- You’d always wanted to get tattoos but you never felt like you had a real reason to. To you, it was more than just body art, it was more of a sign of accomplishment or life-changing events. So when you joined the avatar program you decided that was the perfect occasion for your first tattoo. With the help of Grace and her team, you chose a relatively simple design of an Atokarina. You’d seen one in real life when you accompanied Grace to her school and accidentally got lost. It led you back and you were in total awe.
- This time around you chose a runic design. Back on earth, you were a real fan of the complex runic language and you tried your best to learn it. If you hadn’t ultimately decided to join the Pandora project, you probably would have studied them for the rest of your life. Sadly, over the years you lost touch with your love for runes, and most of your knowledge of them faded into a blur. It made you quite sad because you felt like you lost a piece of yourself, so you decided that you’d get something of your passion engraved on your body.
- Soon enough, the islands that formed Awa'atlu came into view and you shoved your thoughts aside, preparing for landing. There were already Na’vi gathering around your planned landing spot, so you had to be extra careful. You stuck the landing with ease and as soon as you stepped foot out of the aircraft, you spotted familiar figures. The little Sully’s! Well maybe not that little anymore, even Tuk was taller than you now. “Auntieee!” the young girl yelled as she rushed to tackle you.
- you could barely keep yourself on your feet as she wrapped her arms around you and gave you a bear hug. Of course, you hugged her back but as you looked over her shoulder, you saw two new faces approach. The others moved aside for them so you assumed that was the leader and the Tsahìk. You gently wiggled out of Tuk’s grip and got ready to face them.
- At first no one said anything, all of them staring at you with blown wide, turquoise eyes. You assumed that it was just because you were a human, significantly smaller, and even a different color! But that wasn’t it, they were staring at the markings on your skin. They seemed way too unnatural to just be born with, they’d never seen a human with markings similar to their people’s tattoos. So of course they were intrigued.
- after only a few seconds of motionless silence Ronal, the Tsahìk stepped forward and started to circle you. She wanted to take a closer look at these newfound markings, were these similar to her own? You just stood still and let her do her thing, avoiding eye contact with the chilling Tsahìk of the Metkayina. To be honest, you were a little afraid, Norm had told you that she was very protective of her people and was very unwelcoming towards outsiders, so when she suddenly grabbed your arm, you winced and visibly shrunk together, trying to make ourself seem even less threatening even if they didn’t even consider you being something even close to a threat.
- Ronal pulled your arm up, almost lifting you, to inspect the strange marks. As she traced them with her hand you wondered what she thought of them. Did she with ink they were weird. Did she like them? Why was she looking for so long? Didn’t her people also have tattoos? Your thoughts were cut short abruptly as she ran her fingers over your new tattoo, even if it seemed healed, it wasn’t and you almost doubled over at the pain if she weren’t holding you by your arm.
- Of course the well-trained Tsahìk noticed this and instantly a small wave of regret and guilt washed over her. She hadn’t meant to physically hurt you, maybe intimidate you a little but not like this. She saw your eyes water a little, as you tried to calm down and not let yourself cry in front of the crowd. She gently loosened her grip on you, making sure that you were stable on your feet before ultimately letting go. Right after you gently rubbed over your arm, trying to make the pain go away but it only helped a little.
- in Ronal’s mind she had hurt you, so it was her responsibility to make you feel better again. She crouched down a little, making eye contact with you before she asked “Do you understand our language?” Of course, you understood, but you were still a little shaky so the only thing you could muster was a timid nod. The tall woman let out a little huff as she gently placed her large hand between your shoulders and gave you a little nudge. You didn’t know what was going on so you just took a step forward, your attention shifted to the little crowd that was still lingering around you. The chief seemed to be looking at his mate, making a few facial expressions. It was as if they were communicating just by looking at each other. Before they even finished, you felt the hand gently push you along, guiding you along the path that the people cleared for the two of you.
- soon enough you understood that the Tsahìk was leading you somewhere, you were quite curious and it was just the two of you so you asked: “Where are we going?” Ronal almost seemed surprised when you spoke in her language, she understood every word and you were very fluent, albeit you had a bit of an accent. It took her a moment to reply but she explained that the was taking you to her hut, but she didn’t explain why. All in all, she was a little embarrassed so she chose not to share the reason.
- Once you finally reached the large tent she carefully held open the flap and motioned for you to get in. You followed her instructions and awkwardly stood in the middle of it, waiting for her to do or say something. And do something she did. She strode over to a few baskets in a corner, kneeled down in front of them, and started looking through them. Soon enough she pulled out a little packet that was trapped in a large dried leaf.
- “Come closer” she murmured. You shuffled over and stood in front of her. Even then she was taller than you. “Sit” came out of her mouth as she stared at you with wide glossy eyes. You shifted your body into a kneeling position but kept your eyes fixed on hers. She let out a little hum and started unwrapping the packet. Inside was a generous amount of powder that shimmered and glimmered, setting it down she turned around again grabbing something from a different basket. It was a little mortar and pestle made out of what seemed like shaved-down corrals. She put a small amount of the powder into the mortar before she added a light blue liquid that she took out along with the powder. She mixed the two together for a good minute and then looked at you again.
- For a second you just blankly stared at each other before she quietly questioned “Your arm?” Whilst tilting her head a little. “Oh..” you replied while warmth flushed your cheeks. You didn’t quite know why you were embarrassed, maybe it was that there was this gorgeous tall blue woman in front of you, or that you’d never been treated like this before. Normally everyone was a little intimidated by because of your tattoos and chose to avoid you instead of getting to know you.
- Embarrassed you lifted your arm and shifted so that she faced your side and had better access to your upper arm. Seeing this, Ronal had to crack a smile, you were so good at following instructions, not at all Ike the other humans she encountered, she liked you, you were okay, she thought while she started spreading the paste over the inflamed area of your arm. You winced a little any time her fringes brushed over your skin, so she tried to be as gentle as possible, so as not to make you feel more pain than you had to.
- just then someone entered the tenant, you were curious, you sneakily turned your head and saw that the Olo’eyktan had entered. Of course, you wanted to show respect, so you started standing up but Ronal had something other in mind. She gave your lower arm a little tug that pulled you back to the floor instantly “I said sit.“ you were utterly surprised and your head whipped around between the two, not knowing what to do, he was the leader so you had to show him respect but his wife who was also a leader wouldn’t let you? You started getting dizzy and hyperventilating a little before Tonowari took a couple of steps forward and lowered himself to one knee saying “Mawey” with a stern tone, staring directly at your eyes.
- While you were distracted by Tonowari, Ronal quickly finished bandaging your arm, thinking about your markings. Why did you have them? How did you get them? To say it simply she was just too curious so she gave you a light tap on the shoulder pulling your attention to her. “Why do you have these markings?” She asked motioning to your arm.
- you were a little surprised but cleared your throat and said “I got them when I accomplished something. I think that it’s similar to why you get tattoos…” Ronal let out a little hum, satisfied with your response. Soon enough she let you go and sent her mate to show you where you’d be staying. Conveniently, you were staying in a hut that was close to theirs. Tonowari knew from just watching his mate interact with you, that she had a special interest in you and to be honest he couldn’t quite shake the feeling that there was something special about you. So he decided to keep an eye on you, just to see what you’d do here in his village.
- The next day, you decided to go see what the Sully’s were doing, after all, that was the actual reason that you came. As soon as you entered their home, you were tackled by Tuk again. “AUNNTTTIIEEE” she yelled in a high-pitched voice. You giggled and hugged her back. The other members of the Family all stopped doing whatever it was that they were doing to come and greet you.
- Jake offered you his hand to pull you up from the floor and you gladly grasped it, giving him a bro hug right after. “How are you Jakie?“ you jokingly asked with a grin on your face. “Well- I'm doing ‘aight.” He replied while giving you a head pat. When he was still part of the avatar program you were like the whole department’s kid. You were a highly skilled pilot and that with just being barely an adult, so everyone mostly treated you like a little sibling once they got to know you. More often than not, Jake had to physically hold you back from doing something dangerous or stupid, like testing the new flying gear by doing aerial stunts. The two of you had grown close over time and he saw you as his little sister, so he was more than ecstatic when he heard that you were going to come over for a visit.
- Next you walked over to Neytiri and gave her a loose hug “Hey, where are my other niece and the two troublemakers?” you questioned jokingly. “It’s good to see you as well.” she smiled “I think they’re out in the reef.” As soon as those words left her mouth Tuk yelled “Oh- I can take you to them! C’mon!” she started jumping around, motioning for you to follow her “I'll show you my Ilu!!” You laughed a little before stepping out and following the young girl.
- Soon enough you were out in the reef playing and hanging out with your nieces and nephews and just a short while after a few other kids show up as well. They’re all interested in you, they don’t seem to be afraid at all! Even the adults of the clan didn’t seem to be reserved about you. Maybe it was that you also had tattoos? You knew that these people had to earn their tattoos and that it was how they earned their respect in the clan. Maybe that’s why they respected you.
- what you didn’t know though, was that two pairs of eyes were fixated on you. The two stood near the shore and watched you play and interact with the young clan members, not a worry in their minds, they were clearly both intrigued and they both knew it. The two shared a look, making their intentions clear to one another, they liked you and wanted you around. They just didn’t know how to get you to stay.
- That’s how it started. Soon you were a regular visitor and almost even a honorary clan member. Every time your visits got longer and longer and the time you weren’t there shorter and shorter.
- one time, Tonowari asked you if you wanted to try riding an Ilu, and of course, you said yes! So the two of you trotted to the beach and he called for one. It was a pretty Ilu and very friendly. It came close and snuggled its face to yours as you giggled. Tonowari could barely hold it together cause of your cuteness! He gently held the Ilu and bonded with it, getting on and offering you his hand. You placed your hand in his as he pulled you in front of him, securing you on the Ilu.
- The Ilu began swimming and you felt the water rush past your legs as they dangled off the sides. You dipped your fingertips in the water and couldn’t stop your smile from growing as a bit of sea foam got stuck. Tonowari was utterly happy when he got to share time with you, so he made sure to give you lots of rides, even on his tsurak!
- the two of them enjoyed spending time with you and showing you their ways and it filled them with nothing but happiness when you showed so much interest in their way of life. You even had your own hut that they kept neat for whenever you came to visit, it was your home away from home but lately, it seemed that it was the other way around, that the Forrest was your second home and the sea your first, along with the people you treasured most.

+ When the Sully family sought uturu in the Metkayina clan, they didn't expect to find humans there, that far out in Pandora. They especially didn't expect to find out that the Olo'eyktan is in a relationship with the woman and has adopted her child as her own. Not to mention, his children listening to her as if she was their birth mother.
"Aonung?" I called from my spot by the cook pit. He popped his head into the marui's entrance.
"Yes ma?" He asked.
"Can you grab me the leather ties? Your father accidentally put them out of my reach again." I asked, pointing to a basket on a high shelf. He nodded and walked over to the basket grabbing a few ties for me.
"Here you go, ma." He hands them to me.
"Thank you." I took them and tied up the stuffed roasting leaves. He knelt down next to me and adjusted the grate over the cook pit for me. As I was about to set the food on the fire, we heard the horns from the reef.
"What the..." Aonung muttered before sharing a confused look with me. We both got up and walked over to the entrance. We saw 5 ikrans approaching.
"Ma?" Aonung looked down at me. As the ikrans landed I saw Ronal heading that way.
"Go on. If you see Kira, send her home please."
"Yes ma." He leaned down and kissed my head before running off. I walked back in and a few minutes later my daughter Kira came running in.
"What's going on, Mom?"
"I don't know. We'll wait for Wari to come and tell us." I run my hand over her head. "It's safer for us to stay here since we don't know the Navi that have come."
"Okay." She went and sat on a mat before pulling at the top she had been working on. It wasn't long until Tsireya walked in.
"Ma? Kira?" She smiled at us.
"What darling?" I looked up at her.
"Dad wants you to come meet some people." I was surprised but nodded.
"Come on Kira." I said as I walked towards the exit. She ran over and I pulled her into my side. We followed Tsireya to see a family of six standing next to Wari. As we walked up, I saw the family look at us completely shocked.
"Daddy!" Kira ran over to Wari and hugged his leg. He chuckled before picking her up.
"Hello, my Katir (rainbow)." He greeted Kira. He held her on his side before reaching for me. "Yawne."
"Hi." I took his large hand and he brought it up to his lips.
"Um, I'm confused." I heard one of the newcomers say. I looked at them. I looked at the oldest Male and realized he looked familiar. I glanced down and saw he had 5 fingers and toes.
"Jake Sully." He met my gaze as I said his name.
"Yes. I am. How did you..." He trailed off.
"I worked at Hells gate." I said in English at first before switching back to Navi. "I was a scientist for botany. Another scientist and I were out on assignment when the battle of the Hallelujah Mountains happened. I was against the RDA's plans and tactics so I was deemed okay to stay."
"Oh. But how did you end up out here?"
"12 years ago, my companion and I were chased from our outpost lab by some viperwolves and he was killed. I made it to the coast but got washed out to sea by a severe storm. I was pregnant at the time and I was washed up here." I explained.
"How did you not get... Well, um killed?"
"We were shocked when she washed up. But when we realized she was pregnant, we couldn't hurt her. Even Ronal was hesitant. Ultimately, We realized she wasn't a threat and was allowed to stay. Along with her child." Wari explained before smiling at Kira.
"But you two are together?" The woman asked. Jake looked a little mortified.
"Neytiri. Human and Navi relationships weren't unheard of back home." Jake said quietly.
"Yes but the Olo'eyktan? That isn't ..." She started to ask.
"Neytiri! Not our place." He said urgently. I chuckled. "Plus you really have no room to talk." Her eyes widened.
"Fine." She huffed before turning to us. With a genuine look in her eye, she apologized. "I am sorry."
"It's alright. We know it's out of the norm." Wari smiled. "Now, Tsireya will show you to your marui."
"Thank you. It was nice to meet you." Jake smiled and Tsireya led them away. Wari let Kira down who followed her sister. Wari and I headed back to our marui.
"So, why are they here?"
"They seek uturu."
"Uturu? Why?" I looked up at him confused.
"From the sky people." I nodded. I had a nagging feeling in my chest but shook it off. "You're worried about something."
"You know me to well." I chuckled. He reached down and picked me up. "The thought of humans back on Pandora is just a chilling thought. I can understand why Jake has done this."
"Do not worry, Ma'Y/N. We are safe here." He nuzzled my cheek. I cupped his cheek.
"I know. I just can't help but worry." I said as he carried me into our home.
"Everything will be Okay." He assured me. He sat down and set me on his lap. He began playing with my hair. I sighed, relaxing.
"Okay, my love. I trust you." Not long after that Kira, Teysira, and Aonung came in.
*Time skip*
A couple of weeks later, I was out collecting some shells for jewelry and clothes. I was out wading in the water a ways away from the village when I heard the sound of a fight. I quickly walked that way to see the Sully kids and Aonung with his friends fighting.
"Okay enough!" I yelled walking up to them. "Aonung! Roxto!"
"Shit!" I heard Lo'ak muttered.
"Break it up." I snapped. Aonung and Roxto quickly broke off and backed up. Neteyam pulled Lo'ak away. "Seriously?! Acting like petty children. I can't believe any of you!"
"Ma, I'm ..."
"Don't even Aonung!" I turned to look up at him. "I know you started this so don't even start. I am very disappointed in you." His ears fell back and he curled into himself with his tail dropping.
"Yes ma'am." I turned to the Sully boys and Kiri. They looked surprised at me.
"I'm disappointed in you two as well." I said to Neteyam and Lo'ak. They looked guilty. "Everyone, back to the village. We're going to talk to Wari and Jake now. Kiri you don't have too, sweetheart."
"Yawne?" Wari looked up as we entered. "What's wrong?"
"I'll explain as soon as Jake gets here. Wari looked between the boys and his gaze hardened at the looks of them.
"I may have an idea after all." He said. Once Jake arrived, I explained everything to Jake and Wari and we parted ways to speak to our kids privately. Once at our marui, I pointed at the mat for Aonung to sit.
"Do you have any respect for Kira and I?" I asked. Aonung's ears laid back.
"Of course I do."
"Then why do you treat Kiri like that? Lo'ak? Why do you treat them like demons when you call me Ma? Me, a human?!" I snapped. He flinched. I could feel Wari standing behind me. "You are being disrespectful to me and your sister as well as the Sully children. No more."
"Yes ma'am." He nodded. I turned away, rubbing my head.
"Go, think about what you've done. Think about our family. " Wari dismissed Aonung.
"Yes sir. Yes Ma'am." He stood. "I'm truly sorry, Ma." I nod and he leaves.
"Wari..." I turned to my mate with watery eyes. He gave me a sad smile. "Did I do something too..."
"No, no. You haven't clone anything. I'm sorry, Yawne. I don't know what's gotten into him." Wari knelt in front of me. He took my hand and nuzzled my neck. I could feel the tears nearly spilling from my eyes. I cuddled into his chest. He ran a hand up and down my back. "Shh, yawne."
"I am just confused. Sure he doesn't like humans much and I understand. But Jake proved himself to the Na'vi. His kids are born Na'vi and don't deserve to be treated like demons."
"I hate to say it but I figure he's following his mothers displeasure in the situation." Wari said and I agreed. furiously wiped my face.
"You're right. But Aonung is doing a lot more than grumbling about this." I mumbled as I nodded. He gave a small chuckle before cupping my cheek.
"Well, I believe you straighten him out, Ma'Y/N." He comforted me with encouragement.
"Thank you, Ma'Wari. I hope so." I smiled before sighing. "I don't know what we're going to do with that boy."
A little while later after Wari calmed me down, Jake came to us nearly in a panic with Neteyam and Aonung in tow.
"What?!" I exclaimed as Jake told us that Lo'ak was missing. My mind immediately went to Anoung doing something. I turned to the boy with a glare before Neteyam stepped up.
"I can assure you Aonung didn't have anything to do with it. Just after he spoke privately with you, he came and found me to apologize. And I went with him to apologize to Kiri. So Aonung was with me and Kiri when Loak disappeared."
"Alright. Good. Thank you Neteyam." I said and gave Aonung a soft smile. He gave one back. Tonowari set his hand on my back.
"I'll help look for him." He says turning to Jake. "I have a feeling that this has something to do with my friends. Plus I need to try and make up for the way I've treated him. It wasn't right or fair. I am very sorry."
"Thank you for apologizing," Jake nodded.
"Come. We'll start the search." Tonowari said to Jake. He directed some others before turning to me. "I'll be back. can you keep an eye out in case he makes it back?"
"Of course. Go." He nodded and gave me a kiss on the head. Everyone quickly dispersed but Aonung walked up to me.
"I'm sorry ma. I promise I'll do better by our family." He said genuinely as he knelt down in front of me.
"I know." I hugged him. I gave him a pat on the head. "Now go. Help find Lo'ak. Anything can happen to him out there. You, I, and your father will talk about it more later."
"Yes ma." He smiled. He followed everyone else. I sighed and shook my head.
"Eywa, what am I going to do with that boy?" I asked out loud. I heard a familiar set of giggles next to me. I turned to see Tsireya and Kira. "Come on you two. We better go check on Tuk, Kiri, and Neytiri."
"Okay Ma." They nodded and we left.

Tumblr media
Ao’nung’s face screwed up in confusion. Fists tight as he loomed over you. His frame was still taller than you, intimidating the way he seethed.
“What did you just say?” His tone was sharp and rough. As if his words were piercing daggers through your skin.
“Nothing.” You whispered out. Avoiding eye contact with Ao’nung at all costs. You wouldn’t dare look into the eyes of that angry beast.
“No, no. Speak up.” He chuckled darkly, his fingers roughly holding your chin so that you were forced to stare into his crazed eyes. “You dare speak about my father?! Have you gone mad, little forest freak?”
“I didn’t. Let go of me.” A rough his erupts out of his throat as he holds you tighter. His hand squishing your face together so he could scoff at your stupid look. Fingers digging into your cheeks forming bruises under them.
He moved your face around with ease. “No. You did. You little bitch, never talk about my father again. You hear me?” He hissed, leaving spit in your face in the most degrading way possible.
You said nothing but a little whimper leaving your mouth. It was pathetic how terrified you were right now. To think the man holding you like this right now was once a man you trusted, one you loved.
“Do. You. Hear. Me?!” Ao’nung shouted ears flat against his skull, baring his teeth in your face.
“Yes! I’m sorry!” You cried out tears falling down your bruised cheeks. The mark on Ao’nung’s face was nothing compared to the dark purple and black marks now on you.
Ao’nung scoffed and threw you to the ground. Harshly, you plummeted to the harsh sand, landing on rough shells that left stinging cuts on your thighs. “Demons like you should never have been allowed here.” He spat once again. Kicking sand before he left with a stomp.
It was as if you could feel nothing and everything at the same time. The pain across your body thumped beneath you skin as you just stared. Not a sob, no more tear drops. You were frozen.
Tumblr media
Getting up was painful. Blood dripping down your legs as you rubbed your cheeks to try and soothe some of the pain. You weren’t thinking as you walked, hiding away from the village. Taking a route you knew no one else could see you.
Your face had unfrozen now, as tears rolled down your cheek like a majestic waterfall. Soft whimpers every couple steps as the pain from the cuts ran through your entire body. You were tired, wanted nothing more than to collapse into your bed and sob.
“What has happened?!” The loud voice brought you out of your distracted state.
Tonowari rushed over to his front door where you stood battered and bruised. His heart thumped with his protective instincts. He was immediately there examining your injuries. “Great mother…what happened to you?”
You barely even realised you were at the chiefs marui. Shivering in the cool night air as you sniffled away the snot that ran down your face. Looking up to see Tonowari’s wide eyes, boring into you with nothing but love and worry.
It made you want to sob. Because just before those eyes. Eyes that looked so similar had stared at you with nothing but contempt. So when soft whimpers and tears flowed down your cheeks once again, Tonowari gasped and immediately brought you into his home. Sitting you down on the cot you had woke up in that morning.
All worry about being too close to you was replaced with worry for you. He sat down next to you, a soothing hand on your shoulder as he watched you sob. “My sweet pearl…please tell me what is going on?”
You shook your head softly, only being able to scoot closer to Tonowari. He pulled you close. His muscular arms securing you in his lap as you cried into his chest. His heart ached seeing you like this. So upset, and he could still see the bleeding wounds on you. “Please…” He whispered slowly patting down your hair.
You sniffled hugging him close. All shame you had being this close to him erased. He was your one sense of comfort in this moment. Feeling safe in his embrace. “Nothing…it…it hurts ‘Wari”
He couldn’t deny how his heart fluttered slightly as you called him by a nickname. But not enough to make the sinking feeling in his chest go away as you whimpered in his embrace. This wasn’t the type of whimpering he wanted you to do.
“Shh…it’s okay. I’ll take care of you.” He brought you close, stopping himself from leaving a kiss on your forehead. “Tell me where it hurts okay? Then I’ll fix it.”
You nodded, pointing down at the dripping crimson on your leg. That had smeared against both you and Tonowari’s thighs. “A shell…cut me”
Tonowari squinted his eyes. “Is that right? Just a shell?” Tonowari had his suspicions, but he wouldn’t try and get anything out of you. Not in this state. He did however wish he knew what had happened, but that was just pure curiosity and concern.
“Mhm.” You mumbled out looking aware from his stare. Being so close made you feel bubbly inside. Even if Ao’nung had just burst all of them. It didn’t feel wrong like you thought it would have been.
Tonowari was gentle with his touches. Sliding out from under you so that he could stand above and examine your leg. His soft yet huge hands spread your legs apart as you hissed at the sting of the cut.
If it weren’t for the pain you were in, this compromising position would have you blushing like crazy. However, Tonowari was incredible aware of where he was touching you. How you were laying back on your elbows, head flung back as you hissed in pain.
He couldn’t deny the fact that the more he ‘examined’ the cut it was just so he could trace your inner thighs for a bit longer before he got to carried away. “This is deep pearl, how did you manage such a wound.”
Tonowari was slowly putting medicinal paste on your leg, but you only whimpered at the memory of Ao’nung shoving you to the ground. “I fell” Was all you could muster out.
“Hm, you’re a clumsy little one.” Tonowari said chuckling hiding his suspicion. He could see the bruises on your face, he saw the pained look in your eyes. He wasn’t an idiot.
Tonowari continued to patch all of the shell cuts on your thighs. His large hands occasionally lingering too long on one spot.
“It is getting late. Should I walk you home?” Tonowari asked. Though he wanted nothing more than to keep you in his hut. He would always offer.
You sat there and pondered. Looking at the large man in front of you. You didn’t want to leave yet. You couldn’t bare being alone as the memories of your prior…confrontation lingered loudly in your mind.
“Do I have to go?” You said softly, looking up at him with puppy dog eyes.
Tonowari frowned shaking his head. “Of course you don’t have to pearl.” He whispered sitting in bed next to you. The both of you getting back into the position of you situated comfortably in his lap. “Would you like to lay down?”
“Wanna be here” You’d mumble into his chest. He rumbled and laid back onto the bedhead of his cot and let his hands tilt your face back so he could see you.
You flinched slightly from the previous bruises, but he was so gentle so tender. He noticed you flinch, he kept that in mind. “You can stay here as long as you like.” He whispered, his thumb caressing your cheek.
You melted into his touch, not being able to tear yourself away from his eyes now. You felt his hands start to move. So that his thumb started to play with your bottom lip, moving it slowly along the smooth surface.
Your breath was ridged against his fingers. He couldn’t stop himself. You were so small, so soft in his arms. His other hand wrapped around your waist, squeezing it gently.
“Wari…” You said breathily, hands laying on his chest.
“Yes? What is it?” He was alert. Staring you right in the eyes. Hands still lingering.
“…I want you…” It was a soft confession. One that you had to build up the courage for.
“Me?” He was surprised…was this wrong? What father would he be? But you were so beautiful, so gorgeous in his arms.
“Please.” It was a desperate whisper. Eywa you could cry if you didn’t feel more of him on you. You were desperate and hurting. And he was desperate and nothing but loving.
“Shh…its okay beautiful. I’m here.” It wasn’t long till he let his hands roam on your body, laying you down onto the plush mattress.
“Wari…please” You whimpered out as his hands ghosted your waist. Bringing you closer to him. You didn’t even know what you were begging for. You just needed him.
“I’m here my sweetness…shh its okay.” He peppered kisses down your chest and up your neck. His mind was foggy. He knew he’d regret this in the morning. Or maybe he wouldn’t. He didn’t care right now. He just wanted you to feel good. Needed you to feel good. “Look at me.” He whispered softly.
You looked up to meet his blue eyes as he smiled down at you. Soft kisses left on the bruises on his face. If only he knew he was kissing away the pain that his son inflicted.

Even though Tonowari and Jake had apologized, you still felt the need to be distant with them. They still had their duties to the clan, so they were unable to shower you with as much attention as you needed after your altercation.
The weeks spent with the other woman they had been tending to, was not in vain. You had been sending letters to your other clan leader friend Tarsem, who happened to be the na’vi male Jake left his title to. Tarsem empathized with you heavily, and sent gifts when he could, but this time around you haven't heard back from him.
The clan had circled around the end of the reef where an ikran had landed. Some warriors had their spears pointed and others hissed at the unknown visitor. You walked forward with furrowed eyebrows to look somewhat intimidating, but it quickly faded once you saw your friend.
“Tarsem!” You ran forward, and he grabbed you, spinning you in his arms.
“Y/n. How have you been?”
“Good but- How- When-”
“I felt bad after your last letter, so I came to cheer you up.” He placed his hand on your shoulder.
You smiled softly at his kindness and dismissed everyone from the reef. Everyone dispersed and you went on to show Tarsem around Awa’atlu.
Of course you had to show him the key activity that kept the reef bustling, fishing. Tarsem had written that he wanted to experience fishing on the beach, so you took him to the fishing district of the village and gave him a step by step lesson.
Word spread to Tonowari and Jake, who were both off doing their own thing. They brushed off the arrival, knowing you could handle it. But their senses spiked at the mention of an Olo’eyktan.
They met in the middle of the village and went around the reef looking for the landed Olo’eyktan.
“What kinda leader steps foot on a foreign land without seeking the leader of said land.” Jake shook his head.
“I'm sure there's some reasonable…” Tonowari trailed off looking towards the end of the reef.
He saw you standing awfully close to some man he didn't recognize. Tonowari tapped Jake and the two of them approached you and Tarsem.
“Y/n.”
You turned around and saw your lovers. “Tonowari, Jake. Tarsem.”
Jake's eyes widened as Tarsem turned around, and you noticed.
“How do the two of you know each other?” He asked.
“I'm always responding to his letters when he asks for aid, or trading, or other things.” You responded.
“Other things?” Tonowari raised his eyebrow.
“Yeah…personal stuff but,” She looks at Tarsem. “He wanted to visit and here he is.”
Tarsem chuckled a little and set down his fishing net. “She always said the reef was so beautiful. I had to see for myself.”
Tonowari was still hooked up on the fact that the two of you were communicating privately.
“I know the two of you are busy so we’ll leave you be.” You dismissed them.
The two exchanged a look before walking off. They didn't like this…at all.
---
“Hey so…I maybe forgot to mention a little…thing about my visit.”
You tilted your head at Tarsem. He grabbed your hand and lead you to the end of the reef, where he looked up into the sky. You looked up as well, seeing an ikran lowering.
“Tar-”
“It's alright.” He squeezed your hand and smiled as the ikran landed. “Brother.” He walked forward and hugged the na’vi.
Your eyes brightened seeing your childhood best friend, A.k.a the Olo’eyktan of another tribe. “Omi!” You ran and hugged him. He squeezed your back.
“I told him everything.” Tarsem announced.
“We happened to be working on trades between our clan when I noticed a handwritten letter from you. I’d hoped it was the same Y/n I knew.” Omi chimed in.
“Turns out it was.” Tarsem chuckled.
“Well we have so much to catch up on!” You said excitedly.
---
Tonowari and Jake had worked their day away in vain. Mind running wild about what you would be doing with Tarsem. They have yet to be notified about Omi’s arrival, but they found out the hard way.
They attended the clans dinner, looking around for you amongst the crowd. About twenty minutes later you walked in holding hands, sandwiched between to foreign na’vi men.
They fumed.
They both watched the three of you weave through the crowd towards them, sitting in front of them.
“Sorry we're late!” You exclaimed. “We got caught up at the geysers.”
“The geysers.” Jake frowned. That was your spot. It wasn't exactly private, but it was reserved for when the three of you needed a get away.
“They were beautiful.” Tarsem beamed and stole a glance at you, which didn't go unnoticed by Tonowari.
“And who is our other special guest?” Jake asked, nodding towards Omi. “Omi, Olo’eyktan of the Li’ona clan.”
“Oel Ngati Kameie.” Tonowari said, trying to choke back his passive aggressive tone. “What brings you across the globe?”
“Y/n.” He said blankly. “I wanted to catch up and help her through whatever was going on.”
“And what was going on?” Jake asked sternly.
“Mawey.” You held up your hand. “Same way you have your friends visit, I'm having mine visit.”
“But-”
“But nothing Jake!” You snapped before turning back and eating your food
Dinner was silent, at least for the two of them. You, Omi and Tarsem were so caught up in your own conversation the two of you didn’t even notice their moping.
When it came to a close, you personally escorted your friends to a marui pod, which was dangerously close to your home.
Tonowari and Jake paced around your shared home, waiting on you to arrive so they could voice their concerns.
But you never came.
The two ended up falling asleep and woke up to you grabbing a quick breakfast out of your stash.
“Hey…” Jake said walking into the room.
“Oh. Hey.” You gave him a quick smile and turned to walk out the door.
“I was gonna make breakfast!” Jake exclaimed in an attempt to make you stay.
“I'm good.” She held up her fruit and walked out the door.
Tonowari and Jake had never thought events would turn like this. You came home late, or not at all. Missed dinner, and didn't even pay them any mind. No matter how many times they tried pulling you aside, there was some force that pulled you away from them.
It didn't hit the two week mark before they angrily pulled you away from Omi and Tarsem during a clan dinner to confront you.
“Y/n this has gone too far!” Tonowari whisper-yelled, as the three of you weren't too far from the crowd.
“What has?”
“If you won't say it I will.” Jake said to Tonowari. “You've been walking around the reef with Omi and Tarsem like they're your boyfriends.”
You crossed your arms. “Oh really?”
“Yes really!” Jake said frustrated. “You haven't even been coming home anymore- Where the hell have you been sleeping?”
“With Omi and Tarsem.”
Both men looked at you with pained and confused looks.
“What?” Tonowari let out a breathy sigh.
“I've been staying with those two…I don't feel…the two of you-”
“Y/n! We have been trying! Trying to apologize and trying to make amends. And you go and find comfort in another man's arms!” Jake yells.
“How did you think I felt? All those lonely nights, just to find out it was another woman!”
“That was different.” Tonowari jumped in. “She was nothing you know-” He sighed in disbelief.
“Then Omi and Tarsem are-”
“Don't finish that sentence.” Jake said sternly. “We see the way they look at you. We're not stupid.”
You crossed your arms and sighed. “Well i'm gonna be hospitable while they're on the reef, whether you like it or not.”
An uncomfortable silence passed through the three of you.
“It seems that, no matter how things progress you won't forgive us anytime soon.” Tonowari said in defeat.
You bit the inside of your cheek and your eyes began to water.
“So maybe that means space needs to be put between us.”

You sat with your eyes trained on the mortar and pestle in your hands as you grind the herbs into fine powder, the tsahik keeping a close eye on you while you train under her overlooking, being the tsarekam was tiring you but every drop of exhaustion evaporates from your body as your eyes catches the movement of a tall and handsome metkayina, who you call your best friend, but the thing is, you never saw him as your best friend from the start, though you won't admit it, that's another problem for another time, but also you saw your sister, Ronal, walk right behind him, your blood boiled to see her with him, everyone knew of Ronal's liking over Tonowari, even he knew about her feelings towards him but he always made it his life's Mission to stay away from her and her advances but as you watched her trail behind him like a lost puppy, your anger raised to you brain as you grinded the pestle into the mortar so hard that your hand slipped and all the half an hour worth of grinding spilled over the woven flooring, instantly regretting your anger as the tsahik's eyes glowered down on you, you quickly try to salvage what could be used from fallen powder but your mind remained on your sister and tonowari, somehow finishing your daily chores with the tsahik, you made your way back to your family mauri, though still fuming at ronal's advances you knew you couldn't do anything.
Walking inside the kelku your attention immediately went to your sister who was laying in her hammock, staring at the roof of the kelku with a small smile playing on her lips, you rolled your eyes and dropped the basket in your arms with a loud thud on the floor, your sa'nok instantly turning to face you at the loud noise "are you alright, ma'ite?" She asked in a concerned and worried voice at your display of frustration, you huffed and sat down near the basket, picking at the woven flooring of the kelku "nothing, sa'nu" you said back in quitely, legs drawn to your chest and head perched on your knee, staring at the blacked wood of the fire place, when you feel your mother sit down beside you "ma'parultsyip, i can see something is bothering you evi" her concerned voice filled your heart, her soft and caring efforts melting you enough to answer back "why did you send me to be tsarekam when you knew she would easily surpass me" you huffed angrily but not at her, instead eyeing your sister, she chuckled lightly at your complain "oh ite, do not compare yourself to her, you are different and unique, you will have your moment when the time is right, i know it, eywa makes no mistakes and I know what I'm doing, my child" she smiled at you and kissed your forehead lovingly before getting up and going on with her daily chores while you were left thinking about what she just said but soft chuckles and giggles fell on you ears as you looked at your sister's hammock from were the sound came from and rolled your eyes once again in annoyance before walking out yourself, going to the shore for some peace of mind.
»»————- ♡ ————-««
You floated around in the shallow waters of metkayina, your body facing up to the sky, eyes closed, letting the light waves wash over you, calming you down, but your peace was disturbed as tonowari ran towards your direction, yelling your name "(Y/N)!!!" begrudgingly, you got up but he tackled you in a big side hug, almost knocking you over "calm down, brute, you'll crush me" you chuckled, recovering your balance, his laughter booming around you, of course you knew he was happy, he passed his iknimaya and the celebration that was being held for them in the evening made him even more energetic, you were happy for him with your whole heart but somewhere in there that Little flame of love and jealousy flared but you stayed quiet about it, he saw the flicker of change on your face "hey, what's wrong?" Picking up on your signs, he knew you like the back of his hand, you sighed looking at the waters again "it's nothing, just duties, don't worry about it, it's your big day! Not mine" you smile, playfully nudging him, he's still hesitant but let's go of it.
He knew you'd talk about it when you feel like it, but you knew you'd never tell anyone about this, he changed the subject "you're coming to the celebration, right?" He smirks confidently, but you don't answer immediately and his confidence falters "you're coming, right?! Please, you won't come to your best friend's celebration?! Am I even your best friend anymore?" He said in an overdramatic and playful manner, a hand on his chest in mock offense, which you couldn't help but laugh at "I'll try, I'll try but no promises!" You chuckled, he smiled at that too "I'll be waiting for you" his voice was softer than before, a glint in his soft aqua blue eyes, you both stood there on the shore, staring at each other, neither of you moving or looking away, he puts a hand on your forearm, leaning in to say something but the moment was broken when his friends screeched and howled for him to join them, your face warmed up as you looked away, butterflies swarming in the pit of your belly "you can go, they're waiting for you" your voice was barely above a whisper, he groaned internally but obliged, giving a last side hug to you, he ran of with his friends, turning back a little and waving at you before finally running off with them, but the effects of the hug still lasted way more than you thought they would.
»»————- ♡ ————-««
You stayed on the quite, or for you, the peaceful part of the shores for a long while, it was way past eclipse as you sorted out your thoughts one by one, readying yourself for the next day, you didn't even bother to go to the celebration, you knew it'd just end with you talking to your friends and staring at Ronal who would, most likely, be all over tonowari and you were in no mood to see such utter nonsense but the sounds of beating drums, elders singing the songs of warriors vibrated through the air and tonowari's request for you to come pressed you enough to rethink about not going, even if you, originally, never planned to go, the music and his memory, made you walk up to the lively celebration, the dancing and singing of the event lightening your mood once again, the drums playing in beat with your heart, you bob your head to the music, enjoying yourself for once today, you didn't wear any festive clothing, just your day to day tweng and beaded top, taking a seat near the fire with a drink in your hand, ~this isn't that bad after all, right?~ You asked yourself as a small smile played on your lips, but your thoughts were proved wrong as your eyes fell on the very people you wanted to avoid, your heart sinking down as you saw Ronal putting her arms around tonowari's neck, while he looked constipated to be around her.
Any plans about staying around for the event vanished as you made eye contact with him and he gave you a small smile and a little wave but you were too focused on ronal's hand tracing up his torso and chest, her cheek pressed on his shoulder, you had enough of this scene and got up Huffing, he watched worried as you left the premises after seeing him while Ronal giggled at something she said, who were you kidding? Of course he'd chose her, she's perfect in every way possible than you could ever be, you burst through your mauri and to your hammock, just laying there staring at the ceiling, you were so stupid to fall in love with your best friend but you couldn't do anything now but just watch everything as you die inside little by little everyday watching them together.
A knock on the rim of your mauri brought you back out of your thoughts, you hurriedly wiped your tear stained face getting up to see who it was but stopped in your tracks as tonowari leaned on the entrance, looking at you with a concerned expression "y/n-" he said as he came inside but you were frozen to the spot, he walked towards you, his hand resting on the back of your neck "y/n are you alright? Why did you leave the celebration?" He asked looking into your eyes but you looked away, turning around to your hammock as you played with the strings, your back facing him, not allowing yourself to breakdown in front of him right now "I'm okay, you can go back to Ronal, she must be waiting for you, it's your celebration after all" you spoke in a soft, quiet voice, he looked puzzled at that, after much consideration, he came up behind you, his palm coming down on your waist and you turned around surprised, gazing at him confused, he smiled down at you "why did you leave, y/n? Are you not happy for me?" He asked worry plastered over his face but his question was filled with patience, you felt your walls breaking down at his tone, you were undone by him.
"No– eywa, no! I'm so happy for you, wari, i- i left because…" you couldn't bring yourself to say it, he looked worried as you stopped mid sentence "because what, y/n?" His words were filled with determination, he wanted to get to the bottom of your troubles, this time you didn't hold back "I left because I saw you were busy with your future mate, i didn't want to disturb you and her, it's better i leave before it gets worse for me" your voice getting quieter and quieter with each word but still you stood your ground, eyes glazed with unshed tears, tail curling and swishing behind you "what-? Ronal?! What are you-" then it hit him as if he was thrown into ice cold waters of the ocean, his whole demeanor changed as towered over you, with a quick Maneuver he pulled you closer to him as he snaked his arms around your waist while you stood in shock, pressed up against his chest "who said i wanted her in the first place, tiyawn?" He smirked, his other arm moving to caress your neck, now you looked at him puzzled "wari? What.." but his eyes gazing into yours gave you all the answers you were searching for.
He was glad he followed you here, his long buried secrets were finally being true now, he couldn't contain his happiness, he leaned down his face centimeters away from yours, his eyes falling to your lips then back to your own eyes again "may I?" He asked politely, your heart was beating so fast it could have traveled all across Pandora by now, your mind was racing, this was the one thing you wanted this whole time and now that the opportunity is in front of you, you were a nervous wreck but that didn't stop you from nodding and crashing your lips against his finally, throwing caution to the wind, you wrapped your arms around his neck, fingers curling in his soft curls as his bigs hands pulled you in by your waist, fitting perfectly in your curves as his hands didn't just stop there, going up and tracing small circles with his thumb on your ribs, the kiss was sweet, filled with want and unattended love you felt for each other all these years, you pulled back gasping for air as you smiled like you never did before, he had the same expression as he picked you up in his big arms, spinning you around before kissing you once again "ohh you don't know how long I've waited for this moment" he mumbled happily against your lips, nuzzling his nose to your cheek as you giggled lightly, as this was your dream come true as well.
He sat down on the floor, pulling you into his lap while he unhooked the necklace sitting around his neck and presented it in front of you "will you, (y/n), accept this necklace as my token of love, for the start of our courtship?" You were stunned, you couldn't believe this was happening, no words formed in your mind to speak up, pulling yourself together at last "yes- oh great mother, a thousand times yes!" You squealed hugging him tightly, squeezing him to your heart's content as he laughed, hugging you back while quickly slipping the necklace around your throat, then resting his arms around you firmly, everything was going just perfectly until a gasp was heard from the entrance of your mauri and both your heads snapped to the opening.
Ronal stumbled in, her mouth dropped to form a 'O', the beads and shells if her top and loin cloth clinking together as she walked towards us, tonowari immediately got up, pulling you up with him as your eyes were as wide as saucers, terrified of what she might do you "HOW DARE YOU?!" She charged forward towards you but tonowari got in between, shielding you from her as he glared daggers down at her form "Back off, right now or it won't end good, Ronal" he spoke sternly and for once you were the smug one and she was the one gawking at you two, her eyes welled up with tears "This is wrong!! You were supposed to be mine!" She whined like a child at him, stomping her foot, he rolled his eyes at her "we were *supposed* to end up together, not *have* to, so please I will advise you to stop embarrassing yourself" he said just as annoyed as he always was with her around.
A small group of crowd accumulated outside your tent, they were all her friends, watching Ronal breaking down in front of him and you felt sympathetic for her, getting out of your cover from behind his back, you kneeled down next to her, you knew she truly did love him "hey, I'm sorry-" but you didn't get to finish your sentence as she shoved you back and tonowari growled at her, baring his teeth, instantly pulling you up and behind him protectively, Ronal was taken aback at his act of defense against her, she got up and ran out of the tent, crying, the small crowd of her friends following behind, you sighed, you knew they will now harass you for weeks or even months but you felt bad for your sister, she was your older sister and you felt guilty to hurt her like this but the damage was done, tonowari saw this and pulled you into his arms, kissing your temple lovingly, rubbing your back "shh, it's okay, she was bound to feel this way, it's not your fault and even if she wouldn't have seen us, i was planning to say no to her in the end anyways, so please don't blame yourself over this" his voice like first rays of sunlight, bright and peaceful, you relaxed at his words, looking up at him smiling once again, laying your head on his chest "thank you" you whispered, protected and safe in his arms, his mere presence filling you with such warm comfort as he smiled down at you, his mind screaming in happiness as he knew he made the best decision to say how he felt rather than hiding it, now you were his, his to protect and more importantly, you his to love, forever by eywa's grace.

Can I please request Tsu'tey, Aonung, Tonowari and Neteyam x female reader who purrs whenever "he" is around headcanons
More cuteness for the Avatar men!
Pairing: Neteyam, Tsu'Tey, Aonung, Tonowari x Fem!Reader
Tags: fluff, established relationship, PDA, tail shenanigans, purring, kissing, cuddling, slight possessiveness
A/N: I can't stop writing cute stuff with them! Reblog, comment to let me know what you think!
NETEYAM
Neteyam can't help but get the dopiest grin on his face when he figures out what's happening. You being that happy just from being around him? So it's not just him then, that makes him feel better and makes him feel less lovesick. Whenever he hears you purring he nudges you a little, a smile on his lips when right before he surprises you with a kiss.
TSU'TEY
Tsu'tey couldn't figure it out at first, why you were purring all the time but it really stoked his ego. He thought you were just really happy with the life he was giving you, and that was true but you only purred when he was close to you. Oh boy, when he figured it out he felt like he was on top of the world. His mate being unable to control their happiness around him? He was over the moon for it now.
AONUNG
Aonung thought you were purring around everyone at first, not just for him. That's because he usually arrived with his friends. It made him happy but he would always coil his tail around you, nuzzling just a little closer to you when you swam or sat together. He noticed however that it seems to be louder when you're alone together. After that he starts to purr too, even louder then you.
TONOWARI
Tonowari finds you purring to be his favorite sound. And a great way to welcome him home. He knows that the moment he arrives he'll be greeted by a hug and you purring and kissing him. Responds to you in kind, wrapping his arms around you and nuzzling into you as he picks you up and carries you to bed for cuddles and pillow talk, and maybe other things too if you want.

* ੈ✩‧₊˚ — 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰/ 𝐣𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲, 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 + 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐢 | 𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐑 𝐌𝐀𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐋𝐈𝐒𝐓
summary: thigh riding with the boys. all drabbles
— warnings: thigh riding - orgasms, oral fixations, twisted dynamic (specifically between quaritch and reader, can't write that man nicely) nicknames [bunny, sweetheart, sweet girl, daddy] - whether reader is na'vi or human is up to your interpretation!-
ꕤ 𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐒 𝐐𝐔𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐂𝐇
"Nice and wet already, huh, bunny?" Quaritch says from above you, your pretty cheeks flushing over with warmth as his hands come down to grasp your hips.
He is huge. Frighteningly so. Your heart hammers in your chest, your eyelashes batting rapidly, your hands frantically holding onto his shirt. It feels wrong - so, so wrong to be naked atop of him, especially when he's fully dressed. You're so bothered - so embarrassed that you actually look like you're going to cry, your big doe-eyes glistening with tears.
"You gonna cry, bunny? You gonna cry when you cum all over daddy's pants?" His tone drips with mockery, and he has the audacity to laugh at you when you breathe out shakily, your hands trembling as you grip tighter onto his shirt.
“Please stop,” you whimper as he grinds your hips for you roughly, his cargo pants stimulating your clit shamefully. “It - it feels weird,”
"It feels good and you don't like it," Quaritch interrupts plainly, his fingers toying with your lips, letting out a quiet hiss as your mouth instinctively wraps around them to suck. "That's my girl. My little bouncy bunny, bouncing up and down her daddy's thighs. Feel's good, doesn't it?"
Shamefully humming in agreement, you dip your head slightly, your mouth still wrapped around his fingers, sucking carefully. Perhaps it's because there's so much of him that you can't hold back. The folds of his cargo pants press against you harshly, the fabric stimulating your clit, and you pathetically whine against him.
Quaritch smirks, leaning back slightly to take you all in. He presses his fingers against your tongue, satisfied with just how well you're taking him - how you're grinding against him despite the shame and guilt that comes with it. "Come undone all over my pants, bunny. I want the world to see what a dirty little slut you are."
As you gasp against him, your little hips desperately rutting on his thighs, squirting all over him like you have no shame, he lets out a gentle hiss, ears pinning backward instinctively. You're going to do this all over again until you're an even more crying, weeping mess on his thighs.
ꕤ 𝐉𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐋𝐘
Thick thighs; strong thighs. Once weak and small, foreign to the strength needed to run on forest floors and mountain land, now tough and powerful. It's hard to drag your eyes away from your mate, as he kneads moisture into his legs to soothe the ache from adapting to a newer climate: the ocean.
"You starin' at me, sweetheart?" Jake's voice is cool and calming, his eyes not leaving his thighs as he addresses you.
Ears pinning backward, a slight flush of warmth spreads across your cheeks. "I like what I see," you answer honestly, and your mate chuckles to himself, rubbing the moisturizer into his thighs in hard, circular motions.
He hisses. "You are doing it wrong, ma Jake. Gentle, gentle, here, let me help you." You take the pot of moisture away from him, silently clambering onto his lap, your chest growing tight as you softly begin to knead his thighs.
Jake stares at you. It is intense and piercing, and he grumbles as your fingers dully brush against his crotch as you rub his thighs. They are big and muscular - flexing every time you roll your thumbs against a particularly tight knot, and you find yourself dreaming about what you could do with them. How good they could make you feel.
"You okay, sweetheart? Seem to be dozin' off slightly." Jake's hand slither into your hair and you mewl quietly, your nose brushing against one of his thighs. You pepper a soft kiss to it, and he hums. "I think I know what you want."
"Do you?"
"Mmm. Sit on my lap for me, sweet girl, that's right - uh-huh, perfect."
It's a strange feeling at first. Jake's thighs are lotioned up, soft and glistening, and you find your body slipping subconsciously down his thighs. Your bottom half is almost bare against him, and you stifle an obnoxious moan as he steadies your hips so you don't slip anymore. The friction feels amazing, and you pout at his steadying, wiggling your hips side by side softly.
You hope he doesn't notice, but Jake isn't stupid. He grins to himself as he softly begins to roll your hips up and down, pressing you hard against his thighs. Your arms wrap around him instinctively, your head nuzzling into the crook of his neck, your senses overstimulated with his scent and the feeling of his strong thighs flexing under your cunt.
"Let's see how good I can make you feel, huh, sweet girl?"
ꕤ 𝐓𝐎𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐈
"Make yourself feel good, my flower. Do not worry about me."
Tonowari's big, strong arms are wrapped around your waist, his face nuzzling into your neck, breathing in your scent. It is new to him, all of this - feeling so devoted and prideful. Your womb blooms with life, and he is afraid to hurt you. The birth of your first child will be soon, and he does not want to risk any consequences.
He's heard enough horror stories to know otherwise. Tonowari grunts as you shuffle against him, your loincloth abandoned on the hut floor. There is no light but that of candlelight, burning low, and he can just make out your lewd and illicit features. His bare thighs flex as you comfortably plant yourself against him, thighs spread either side of his eagerly, your womb swollen with life.
It makes his cock throb eagerly when he hears you moan - when he feels your slick press against his thigh, when you begin to grind atop of him. It's painful - so incredibly painful to watch his mate come undone with no help, but he cannot do anything.
He must watch.
Your body trembles against him softly, your voice wavering as you moan, "oh, Tonowari, your thighs are so strong. They are like that of a great warrior. You manage to please me in every sector of life."
Like clockwork, he tenses again, eager to please. Tonowari peppers soft kisses against your face, basking in the salty taste of water and sweat as you begin to rut against him in a desperate frenzy of heat. "My flower, do not wilt yourself out. I want you to bloom."
"I'm blooming, Tonowari - oh Ewya - I'm so close," your voice wavers a your cunt slicks against his thighs, comfortable as he flexes beneath you, urging him to bounce his leg softly. And he does - of course he does because all Tonowari ever wants to do is please you, so he looks away, a dark blue blush rising on his cheeks like the dawn, and bounces his legs.
It is enough for you. If Tonowari let you, you would worship his thighs - pepper gentle kisses to them, devote yourself to them - but he won't. So this is what you settle for, an orgasm that drowns you, which has your mate holding you up as you cream all over his legs, body convulsing atop of him.

You gently open your eyes as sunlight shines through your shared marui. You stretch out all of your limbs and rub at your eyes. Yawning as you turn around, finding the other side of the sleeping matt empty. Huffing out a sigh, you sit up and just stare around your marui while squinting. Tonowari must be out hunting. You slowly start getting up, ready to start the day.
Walking out of your marui, you see Ronal and a couple of others sitting together in the sand a couple metres away, weaving garments. You quickly walk over to them, going as fast as your little legs could carry you.
“Ronal! Hey, have you seen Tonowari anywhere?” you ask her, slightly out of breath from your jog.
“Hello y/n, I believe I saw him looking for seashells near the east side of the beach. Probably for another gift he’s making you” Ronal says with a teasing tone, slightly smirking at the end.
You start blushing profusely, you were sure if you were na’vi your tail would be swaying from side to side excitedly.
“Ahh, thank you Ronal” you say, voice full of embarrassment but your giddy smile said otherwise.
“No problem”, she replies, turning back to her unfinished necklace.
You hurriedly take off running towards where Ronal told you, eager to greet your mate. Just as you see his tall and muscular build come into view, you slow down to a jog. When he’s just a few feet away from you, you stop. A funny idea coming to mind.
You slowly walk towards him trying not to make a lot of noise, though it seems as if he can’t hear you as he keeps searching through the sand. His tail is languidly moving around behind him as he hums to himself underneath his breath.
Just as you stand behind him, ready to reach your hands out, there’s a loud smack and you’re knocked off your feet. You fall onto the sand with a soft thud.
Tonowari’s ears stand at alert and his tail becomes rigid. He quickly turns around and is met with your small body sitting on the sand, rubbing at your left arm. He could see your eyes glaze over with fresh tears and his ears droop down at the sight, a pang of guilt running through his chest.
“Owwww ‘Wariiii that hurt.” you pout up at him and his heart broke at the sight.
“I am so so sorry my paysyul, I did not know you were behind me” he apologizes, looking distraught at the thought of hurting you in any way.
“It’s alright, it was my fault anyways” you sigh and stand up, still rubbing at your arm a bit.
“No no, it was not your fault. Do not blame yourself paysyul. I should have been paying attention to my surroundings” Tonowari sternly says, closing the pouch full of seashells and holding it in his left hand.
“Come, let us go to our marui and put some
paste on your arm.”
He reaches down with his right hand and lifts you up, holding you securely against his chest. You drape your arms over his shoulders as they are too short to wrap around his neck, and nuzzle your face into his nape as he begins to walk you both to your marui.

i'm thinkin' lets have some cute wari content b4 we move onto the nasty stuff AHA
pairing: tonowari x reader
genre: tooth rotting fluff
notes: felt the need to write something fluffy and cute to cleanse my polluted soul. Plus I really just crave some cuuute wari rn.
synopsis: sick 'wari, thats it.
THIS ONES FOR U @avatarkv ♡
The soothing sounds of waves rolling easily up the shore, paired with the chirps of airborne creatures had awoken you suddenly, along with the concerning, loud coughs of your dear mate. Worry had painted a frown on your face as you had placed a cold hand on his hot forehead, checking his temperature.
As it turned out, the mighty olo’eyktan had come down with a cold, and he did not want anyone to know. So, you had carried on with your day, fulfilling your duties as Tsahìk, and carrying out a small portion of his as well, since he had not been able to lift even a finger that morning. Oh yes, your mate was very sick.
Upon your arrival home, you noticed that he was still sleeping. You frowned once again, for the sun had begun its descent hours ago, and it was now closer to evening.
With quiet steps, barely noticeable even to a mouse, you tiptoed over to where Tonowari laid snoozing. He looked so cozy, so undisturbed and free from the stress and pressure of the demanding role of olo’eyktan. You pondered for a minute, or two, if you really had it in you to wake him from his peaceful slumber. No, no you couldn’t possibly. He deserved all the rest he could get, considering the overwhelming amount of workload and responsibility he shouldered as clan leader.
A gentle smile placed itself upon your features as you lovingly observed your mate. Carefully, as to not wake him up, you moved a loose strand out of his face. You got up, an idea forming in your head as you rummaged through the pod for some medicinal herbs.
A sweet, delicious scent filled Tonowari’s nose, waking him from his nap. He groggily rubbed his eyes in an attempt to see clear again, because it could not truly be this dark outside, could it? His tired gaze wandered around the lit up pod, searching for his lover. And he soon spotted you, crouched down, leaning over the large pot situated in the middle of the room. He yawned, stretching his long, strong arms, before preparing himself to stand up.
“Oh, good morning, or should I say good evening, ‘Wari!”  Your voice interrupted his action, and once again he sat himself down. “I’m just getting some warm soup ready for you, It shouldn’t take too long, my dear. You just stay right there.”
His face wore a doting smile as you got up from your former spot, carrying a wooden bowl with hot, steaming soup.
“Here you go. Drink carefully now, and don't forget to blow on it. It is still very, very hot.” You warned, handing him the piping hot bowl. He nodded, gently placing his hands atop yours as he accepted the bowl.
“Thank you, yawne. Truly, you are the sweetest gift.” You grinned proudly at his praise, happy to be of help to your beloved.
He wasted no time when he was finished, wrapping his long and strong arms around your form. You struggled against his tight grip, reminding him that he was sick. And that you did not want to be infected.
“I have important matters to attend to tomorrow, ‘Wari, you know this. I can’t get sick now, who is to take care of the village?” He hushed you, placing a loving kiss to the top of your head.
““I am not going to get you sick, just let me hold onto my love while I lay dying.”
You rolled your eyes at his antics, giggling as if you were a teenage girl again as he peppered your reddening face with gentle kisses and pecks. His warm embrace was enough to make you sleepy, and soon it was Tonowari’s turn to admire you, ever so lovingly.

Hi can I request a Jake sully x fem Metkayina reader x Tonowari where she is fishing by herself outside the reef as she wanted to explore the island more and they both have been searching for her all day as she is their mate and have missed her all week not knowing where she disappears to. They eventually find her there about to call the fish, they pull her to the surface causing her to release the arrow accidently as she is shocked by the sudden pulling of her body towards Tonowari and Jake with them both having a furious look on their faces about to ask her why she put herself in danger but they see a dark shape coming towards them, Tonowari quickly places her on his Tsurak, Jake getting on his too the 3 of them quickly leaving as they know how dangerous the Akula is which is close to them, they luckily escape with minor injuries. When they are safe on land, they have an angry look on their faces again both of them pacing around wondering how to approach the situation without getting angry at her, she tries to talk but they both look at her which stops her immediately knowing they aren't ready to hear what she has to say yet, Tonowari speaks first asking her why she went fishing so far outside the reef in a stern tone before Jake does knowing he has a harder time controlling his emotions than Tonowari. She looks down at the ground playing with her necklace as she is nervous to say why she went out that far to fish, Tonowari kneels down in front of her grabbing her hands before looking at Jake silently asking him to kneel down too, they both take one of her hands each both looking at her with soft eyes rubbing her hands gently, she sighs before covering her face with her hands mumbling that she wanted to surprise them with their favourite food which can only be found out there and decorate it with pretty coral and shells, they both pull her into a hug rubbing her back kissing her head saying how cute she is asking her to not go there again without at least one of them or at least taking a warrior with her before they all go back home to cook dinner together with all of them laughing and maybe them two calling her sweet names a lot, thanks!
i'm- head empty; no thoughts. just imagining im sandwiched in between these two..
i can take them (but not in a fight)

Holding your crossbow underwater you began calling for the fish.
You hadn’t known how long time had passed as you were looking for that one specific fish you had in mind that would very well please the two of your beloved.
That’s why you were here out past the reef, thinking it was a great idea to surprise Jake and Tonowari with their favourite food just in time before they return from their hunt.
Although back in the village, the hunting party returned earlier than expected. Jake and Tonowari excused themselves to find you, their first thought was you were in your marui, waiting for them.
Until you weren’t.
“Can’t find her.” Jake said to Tonowari as he stood outside your marui.
Tonowari and Jake both walk towards the communal area, spotting your close friend, Ronal, in which they decide to approach her.
“Ronal, have you by chance know where (Y/N) could be?”
Ronal looks up to the two, blinking in thought. “I know she said she’s going hunting outside the reef, that is what she told me.”
That simple sentence was enough to send their hearts dropping as Jake was the first one to turn on his heel, already calling for his tsurak while Tonowari nodded a ‘thank you’ to Ronal before mirroring Jake’s actions.
Ronal simply rolled her eyes at the two before going back to her work.
Believe it or not, Tonowari trusted you that you knew your way around outside the reef, but with you going without them knowing- well it was enough to worry him. Jake, on the other hand, doesn’t like it when you go venturing alone, especially outside the reef as Tonowari’s tales told him how dangerous it was.
Aha! Finally spotting the fish you were looking for hours, you smile to yourself as you aimed, closing one eye as you concentrated.
You were about to shoot when you feel yourself being yanked from out of the water a little too harshly, your finger squeezing on the trigger upon surprise as it shoots up in the air and into the ocean, the fish nowhere to be found.
Instead, you find yourself in front of Jake and Tonowari, their faces fuming.
“What on earth are you doing?!” Jake’s voice pulls you to reality and you stare at him. About to respond, you opened your mouth but Tonowari’s voice followed. “There’s no time for this now, look!” Tonowari turns to see something moving in the distance, fast.
Your eyes widened as Tonowari calls to his tsurak, since he was the one holding you, you were helplessly flung onto it as you yelped in pain. “Hey!” You exclaimed as you felt like you were being thrown around like a doll all of a sudden and you weren’t liking it one bit. The akula barely misses the two of you as it launches in the air, teeth bared as it landed back in the ocean with a huge splash.
Jake climbs upon his and he signals to Tonowari for them to go.
In almost a blink of an eye, you found yourself back at the village, Tonowari lifts you in one swift motion, your feet landing in the communal area.
Jake dismounts, standing beside you while Tonowari does the same on the other side.
You were in between the two men. You feel their hot gaze on you as you stared at the ground.
Shuddering as you felt Tonowari’s huge hand land on your back, you look up at him. He wears a soft expression, but you knew better. Under that soft expression hides anger that you have to dig for. Turning towards Jake, however, he doesn’t hide his emotions as he was looking down at you with a scowl that you could almost feel the intense heat radiating off him.
You gulp nervously. Jake jerks his head towards the direction of your shared marui, growling his words. “Let’s go.”
Making it towards your marui, you first step in as Jake followed, then Tonowari last as he seals the entrance, notifying passer-by’s that no visitors were allowed at the moment.
Turning, you find the two of them staring at each other, almost mentally debating who should start talking. The silence felt like torture. Deciding you had enough, you stepped forward, mouth open as you were about to speak.
Jake and Tonowari’s eyes snapped towards you at a bizarre speed, making you step back and shut your mouth with a defeated sigh.
Tonowari finally spoke. “Why were you out past the reef?”
You sat down on the bed, eyes trained on your necklace as you found it interesting at the time.
Out from the corner of Tonowari’s eye, he could feel Jake still fuming. Reaching a hand to touch Jake’s shoulder, he looks at him. Tonowari leans his head towards your direction and Jake sighs, his anger dissipating in him and was now replaced by worry.
Only then you return your focus towards them as you felt a finger lifting your chin up to face them. The finger belonging to Tonowari while Jake held your other hand. Their anger was completely thrown out the door as it satisfied them enough knowing you’re here.
The feeling of their hands massaging yours makes you shy away. You cover your face in your hands, knowing the reason why you almost risked your life outside the reef was just because of your love for them.
You mumble it out but they only had confused looks.
“What’s that again, honey?” Jake softly asked, prying your hands away from your face. You avoided their gaze on you as you looked up, gulping.
“I just wanted to surprise you guys when you come back… you know… with your favourite food and- and I was thinking of decorating it too- I didn’t realize how late it was and-“ You cut yourself off from your own rambling as you cringed at your words.
But Tonowari and Jake found it far from humiliating. They found it sweet, even if it did almost cause them to have a heart attack- it was sweet. They look at each other before laughing. It was your turn to glare at them, huffing and standing up but they quickly pull you back down again with a loud thud.
“That’s sweet.” Jake said.
“Next time, please bring at least someone with you- tell us you’re going outside the reef so we know. You could ask me or Jake the next time.” Tonowari advises. You sigh loudly. “Then it wouldn’t be such a surprise, wouldn’t it?”
They both chuckle at your sass before the two of them leaves a peck on both your cheeks, pulling you in a bone-crushing hug.
The hug was cut short when a stomach grumbled in protest. You and Tonowari look at Jake with a teasing expression.
Jake flusters, shaking his head. “Alright- alright I’m hungry… is that surprise dinner still up, honey?” Jake turns to you as you and Tonowari laughed.
You raise your hands to cup their cheeks, them leaning onto your touch as you smiled at your boys.
“Of course, be glad I managed to capture a few ones before you kidnapped me!”

Right from the start of the day, Jake knew something or someone was bothering his sister. She was quiet, she kept to herself, and she went stiff when anyone came near her. It was as though they were right back at the start when he first brought Kayla to High Camp. What was worse is that the kids had noticed and asked their father what was wrong with Auntie, and Jake couldn't afford to tell them that he didn't have all the answers and he had been wondering the same thing. A small part of him was scared that something had happened to her back at Bridgehead or maybe she was changing her mind about staying. Whatever was wrong, Toruk Makto needed to fix it, one way or another.
She had been particularly moody to him all day, but unfortunately, she had to be in close proximity to her brother when they were both given the task of tending to the ikran and their harnesses.  She decided to be silent, cold, and distant as they worked. Jake decided not to push his luck and worked in silence alongside her, just trying to be a comforting presence despite not knowing what was wrong. He did, however, notice other presences around them, and they were paying particularly close attention to his sister.
It was a small group of young Na'vi warriors, likely around Kayla's age if not a little younger. They stood off to the side, openly staring at Kayla and whispering to each other. Jake couldn't tell if they were curious or making fools of themselves by mocking her, but Kayla didn't appear to even notice them at first. Then, some avatar scientists joined the group, also publicly gawking at Kayla when their fellow Na'vi friends whispered to them, too. They laughed quietly among themselves and one unfortunate bastard was cursed with a snorty laugh that drew Kayla's attention to the group, sharp eyes locking onto them before she could even blink. The whole group quickly turned away, all either embarrassed or ashamed.
Jake took this opportunity to laugh and lighten the mood, "You've got a growing group of admirers, it would seem."
Kayla paused, still watching the group of men and women now clearly avoiding her gaze before actively ignoring them, bringing her eyes back down to her hands as she worked on weaving together a spare banshee harness. Jake huffed with amusement, "What? Not your type?"
"Not my priority," she muttered, "Besides, I'm pretty sure they're not staring at me because they wanna get some."
"Does that mean you have someone?"
Her eyes shoot up to him like a bullet, narrowed and glaring into his soul as she spits out, "Would I have come to Pandora alone if I did? I'm not the one who abandons people when they need me."
The silence is thick and palpable, able to cut through with a knife. Both Sullys stare at one another, unblinking. One stared in shock while the other glared in rage, but it's not hard to tell which is which.
Jake swallowed back the emotions when his throat suddenly dried, ears lowering in shame, "I'm sorry."
"After all, 'Sullys stick together', right?" She mocked, and one look at her and Jake could tell why she was suddenly pissed off at him. The shame quickly eats him up and threatens to spit him out as her voice wavered, "Usually, I'd find it sweet that you taught your kids some of our family's old traditions... but when that tradition ended up becoming a lie--"
"I was going through it," he tried making up excuses as a desperate attempt of calming her, "I wasn't thinking."
"You were going through it?" She huffs out a laugh of disbelief, the smile that briefly graced her lips was vile and hysterical, "I get that you were twins, Jake. But Tom was my brother, too."
Jake lowered his eyes, unable to look at her any longer. It seems as though Kayla can't just settle on one emotion, all her thoughts that have been stewing for some time beginning to boil over like a volcano. Her voice shook, either in rage or distress, Jake didn't want to look up and find out. "And for a while there, I thought I lost both of you."
"I'm sorry."
"I'm sure you are. Doesn't excuse the fact that you left me all alone, found yourself a wife, and had a few kids all the while letting your sister believe you were dead!" She snapped, growing angrier by the minute when tears started to brew in her eyes. She didn't want to cry. She wanted to be angry. She wanted to punch him and scream but she was frustrated because she had clearly missed that opportunity when they first reunited, "I missed out on so much of your life, Jake. I missed out on their lives, and you didn't care."
"I did care. I still care--"
"You didn't. If I recall, the last thing you ever said to me was 'have a good life, kid' in that passive-aggressive tone of yours."
His eyes flick up to hers, "And your last words to me were even less than friendly."
"Sue me." Kayla snarled back, quick as lightning, "My brother abandoned me on a dying planet, all alone, and didn't bother to make sure I was taken care of."
The wording felt like heavy lead beginning to build in Jake's gut, tilting his head curiously at her, "What do you mean? What happened?"
"Nothing happened. I just did exactly what you told me to do. I grew up." His ears pin to his skull as his mind prompted him to a distant memory of the last time he ever spoke to Kayla. The shame and humiliation were evident in his eyes when she glared back, "To make ends meet I became a marine. You didn't give me much of a choice."
His hand reaches out before his brain could order it to do so, "Kayla--"
She hissed ferociously for her first attempt, the sound coming low from her chest and throat, baring her sharps fangs at her brother, "Don't fucking touch me."
Jake pulls his arms back, afraid she'd bite, and raised them in surrender so she had a clear view of both of them. Defeated, Jake keeps himself back and willingly exposes himself to her verbal lashings, "Alright, let's hear it. I wasn't sure how long it would take us to talk about it. But there's no easy way around it. So come on. Let's talk."
Her eyes were still pooling, threatening to spill, as she shook her head when words failed, "Maybe we shouldn't."
"No, we should. I knew this was coming. Go ahead."
She took a moment to try and find the right words, but there weren't any that she hadn't already said. Instead, Kayla confessed what she had been feeling all this time after having bottled it up for so long, "Initially I was glad that you're still alive. Now that the initial shock and relief have worn off-- fuck you, Jake."
She picked up her work and turned a full one-eighty, walking away and keeping her head low so no one would think she was making a scene. She wasn't able to get far before Jake comes after her, being sure not to touch her, and instead making her stop in her tracks when he rushed around to cut off her escape, "Look, Kayla, wait-- hate me all you want. I know I deserve it. But don't take it out on anyone else but me."
The words were enough to confuse Kayla as her rushing thoughts pause, peering up at Jake in puzzlement, "What makes you think I would do that?"
"I can't afford not to," his whole posture displayed the stern form of an olo'eyktan, shoulders stiff with the weight of hundreds of lives relying on him, "Kayla, you and I, right now, are on opposite sides of a war. Alright?"
The firm reminder breaks the spell and Kayla quickly looks away, deciding to focus on a Na'vi child in the distance, running away from their mother as they laughed instead. Jake sidesteps until he's in her field of view again and she is forced to make eye contact. His expression stays serious, like a father talking down to their child, "Whatever punishment you think I deserve for what I did, I'll take it gladly. But don't do anything to punish anyone else, like telling Ardmore where we are. Don't feed my family to the wolves for my mistakes."
It hurt to think that after everything Kayla has seen in these last few months, Jake would believe she could possibly do something so monstrous. Her eyes widen at him, shattered as she voiced this in such a soft tone, "Do you honestly think I could do something like that?"
He doesn't relent even though he wants to. He wants to believe his sister loved his kids and would never throw them under the bus for crimes he committed, but he's seen too much. He knows what people like Ardmore are capable of, and has seen firsthand what they can do to get what they want. "It's like you said. Twenty years is a long time but it's enough for someone to change. And the side that you're fighting for, the Sky People... They have done nothing but hurt the Na'vi. They've killed animals, entire ecosystems, and even the People themselves. I watched them destroy Neytiri's home and there were many casualties. Men, women, and children. All for what? For the ore that lay underneath. I thought we had driven them away but now they're back, and they're more ruthless than before. That field outside Bridgehead. The Kill Zone? That used to be a forest. A beautiful, powerful, living forest. And now it's gone. Burnt down to the dry desert it now is."
Kayla's eyes dart away, her expression crumbling into a whole range of emotions that she tried to contain, conflict and sadness being only a couple of them. Jake doesn't relent, "Come on, Kayla, you know I'm right. You know what the Sky People are doing is wrong."
It was a weak attempt at defending herself and her species, but Kayla's sisterly instinct to argue with her brother was a lot stronger than common sense, "... They're my people. They're your people."
"No." He shut her down firmly, harshly, "I chose my people. I chose people who love life. 'People who love the ground they walk on and respect the animals they hunt. They believe that everything must return to the dirt so life can start all over again. When have you ever seen a human give back?" When he's met with silence, he takes a different approach, "You're a soldier, Kayla. Soldiers don't have the freedom to make their own choices. They're not allowed to feel or have their own opinions. I would know because I was a soldier, too. I was just like you. But now I'm a warrior."
She frowns, staring up through her eyebrows with doubt evident through her yellow orbs, "There's a difference?"
"Yes. Warriors are loyal and brave. They have honor. They're not mindless animals who only do what they're told regardless of whether or not what they're doing is wrong. Only a soldier does that. I refuse to be a soldier ever again."
The arguing side of her finally gives in, exhausted from spewing all her emotions out all at once in the heat of the moment. She just wants to sleep now, and at this point, she'll do whatever it takes to get back to her nivi, "What do you want from me?"
The opportunity presents itself and Jake finally admits the motivation behind bringing her here in the first place, "I'm asking you to stop being a soldier and start being a warrior. Join us. Join us and learn to love life again as you did before. Stay here. Be a part of our family. Fight for the survival of our family." Kayla looked as though she had expected him to say this, but still appeared unsure, scared of the danger of staying. Jake took a brave step forward and gently placed his hands on either of her shoulders, "My kids love you and they need you. Do you love them?"
She thought of Neteyam, so kind and brave and nurturing. Kiri, so full of hope and life and is just trying to know herself. Lo'ak, desperate for approval and to make himself seen, yet so reckless and funny. Sweet Little Tuk, so full of love for everyone around her and all-inclusive when showing her creativity and happiness. Kayla even thought about Spider, who smiles and laughs with her and tries to make her feel welcome, despite being an odd teenager who has yet to figure out how adult life works. Going beyond the kids, Kayla thought about Neytiri and Norm, people who have included her in everything and accepted her despite their differences, and who have grown to be her friends and family. Kayla's eyes briefly flick back to Jake and nodded, "Yes."
He smiled, "And the forest? The colors? The people?"
"Yes."
"All of that will go away if the Sky People continue to stay here. They'll dig up and burn every tree all the way down to the roots. They'll be an infestation to this world that you've grown to love. Please, Kayla. Stay here."
Determination and desperation intertwine on his face, and Kayla hated how she had to be the one to break such confidence in him. She partially wondered when did their roles reverse, where she had given up but he had hope. Maybe it had been when he first came to Pandora and saw his life through other people's eyes did he decide to change, and even though Kayla was proud of her brother for becoming a better man, she still felt the hurt of abandonment. Despite wishing she could hurt him as he hurt her, she didn't want it to be like this, "I can't, Jake."
His face had started to fall before she could quickly add, "Not when my real consciousness is in Bridgehead. As long as my body's there, I'll always have to go back."
He breathed a small sigh of relief through his nose, calm now that he knew she wanted to stay but just couldn't find the courage to do so, "Then wake up and run away."
"... How?"
"I have a plan."
~~~~~~~~~
The nights were a little cold high up in the cave systems of the floating mountains, but Kayla was ignoring the cold in exchange for looking into a cracked mirror hung up off to the side of the Longhouse, meant to be used for when the avatars needed to do their nightly routines. Kayla purposely waited until she was the last one to use the mirror for the night, the other avatars already lying in their hammocks, waiting for lights out to be called.
Her reflection was something she had only just begun to get used to. Big, yellow eyes, and cerulean skin with natural, flowing blue stripes perfectly shaping the angles of her face. Kayla pressed a finger to one of the many star-glittered freckles on her cheek that she had recently learned the Na'vi call tanhì. She followed the design for a while, losing count after twenty and then meeting her cat-like eyes in her reflection.
It was a face she was going to have to get used to if she was really going to go through with this. She once saw the avatar as a separate person entirely, but now she understood that they are one in the same both mind and soul. No matter what form she took, either blue or peach, she was still Kayla, and she had to remind herself of that every day in the mirror, no matter what reflection was looking at her. Although she was beginning to wonder just how much time she’ll be spending in her human body after tonight.
A plan had been set and now all she had to do was go to sleep and wake up in Bridgehead. Easier said than done, her nerves acting as a stimulant to keep her awake. Already, she was hearing snores coming from the biolab trailer. She heard quiet chatter in the distance, but other than that, the whole camp was asleep, marking just how late her rushing thoughts kept her up. Taking one last look at her avatar, she finally pulls away from the mirror and gets comfortable in her hammock, internally asking Eywa to wish her luck before closing her eyes.
She's awoken by the same blinding white lights and lab coats, asking a hundred questions a minute while routinely going through the motions of giving her nutrition and simultaneously taking blood samples through various needles and tubes in the crooks of her arms. Kayla blankly stared at her pale arms, a little thinner than normal. She hadn't had time to take care of her body in between links and decided that this should be one of the many reasons she needs to leave. Her stomach growled at the idea of freshly cooked teylu waiting for her back at High Camp and was extremely disappointed when a scientist handed her a granola bar instead. Finally, after they had bandaged her fresh wounds and were satisfied with her answers, Kayla stood from the ledge of the link bay and steadied herself,
"I need to talk to General Ardmore."
The general was summoned and brought to the biolab by the time Kayla was offered water and a full meal. The corporal even had time to pull her hair up into a more respectable bun before she would stand in attention for the general. Frances Ardmore walked in and Kayla salutes stiffly, keeping her eyes lowered until she had been given permission to speak.
"Report."
Kayla looked up with a stern look in her eye and a monotone voice, lying through her teeth gracefully, "There's a crash site near the location of what used to be the Na'vi's Hometree. A gunship with some bodies inside. It's not my brother, I know, but with your permission, General, I'd like to go out there and extract them."
"With your avatar?"
"Just myself, ma'am. I had to leave my avatar behind at the crash site." The general's eyes narrow and so Kayla quickly adds before she could be interrupted, "She's safely hidden, I assure you, but I left a tracker on her so I can find my way back. With your permission, I'd like to take a gunship out there and I'll retrieve the remains myself and bring them back so they can be properly identified and sent home to their families. There won't be any need for extra manpower or wasted supplies."
Ardmore didn't speak for a while, and Kayla had to use every muscle in her face to keep herself from smiling at the idea of Ardmore trying to remind herself that she needs to act sympathetic to the families of possibly deceased soldiers. Kayla was sure that Ardmore could care less about some bodies that were over a decade old, but courtesy forces her to be civil as she curtly nods to Kayla, "Permission granted. You get there, you extract the remains and come right back. That's it."
"Yes, ma'am."
The next morning, with a large satchel of "rations" at her hip, a mask over her face, and an AR rifle strapped to her back, Kayla is led to a gunship and then left alone. Remembering her previous training, Kayla strapped herself in and begin the process of starting up the engines while waiting for Control to clear her for take-off. Finally, she gets her orders and she barely contains her eagerness when responding cordially and taking off, floating up into the air before flying away. Silently repeating the rendevous coordinates Jake had provided her the day before, Kayla beelined in the direction of what used to be the Omatikaya's home.
In Sector Twelve, about ninety-three kilometers from the abandoned Hell's Gate facility, now sat a slowly healing memorial site of Hometree. Kayla had heard stories about this place, mostly from Mo'at, Neytiri, and even Neteyam, despite the fact the young Na'vi boy had never seen its former beauty before the RDA had decimated it. Despite never seeing it stand tall and mighty, Neteyam told stories that he had heard from the Na'vi around him who had seen it. He even proudly stated how his own bow, much like his mother's and maternal grandfather's, was made from the wood of Hometree. It is from Neteyam's stories that now let Kayla's imagination run wild as her gunship slowly circles around the site of the former home of the Omatikaya.
Most of it was still barren, Eywa's hold not yet fully restored over this land. Plants and signs of life were visibly, but not yet solidified. The great corpse of such a large, magnificent tree was still visibly, lying across the landscape like a fallen giant. Vegetation was growing all around its trunk, uproots, and branches, cementing it to the forest floor where it will one day fully return to the dirt to give back what it had taken from the Great Mother. Neytiri once told Kayla that the tree will likely not fully decay under her children's grandchildren are born, but by then, she hopes that more songs will be sung for them to remember it by.
Reaching her destination, Kayla slowly lowers her gunship to the forest floor but wisely chooses to stay inside the vessel, knowing that the world's immune system will not take her presence lightly-- not in this mundane form. She anxiously waits, breath somewhat shaking when she exhales, and purposely cuts the engine. She won't be needing to bring this gunship home, after all.
She's thankful that she doesn't have to wait for very long, hearing the familiar, echoing call of an ikran approaching. Sighting familiar blue and purple wings, Kayla grabs her things and climbs out of the gunship, double-checking that her mask was tightly secured before stepping out into Pandoran air. Tightly holding the strap of her bag, she makes the trek over to the ikran and its rider, who has landed a bit of distance away from the gunship out of paranoia.
Jake sucked in a sharp breath of air, his expression solemn and grave as he took in the human form of his sister, in the flesh, for the first time in over two decades. She was shorter than he remembered, with her dirty-colored hair cut to her shoulders and those familiar, Sully blue eyes staring back up at him through her mask. It was like staring at a ghost, haunted by several memories and none of which Jake was entirely proud of, given the latest argument with his sister. Kayla stared back at him with an all-knowing gaze, equally somber and grim as she stood off to the side of his ikran, patiently waiting. Bob had bristled underneath his rider, clearly uneasy about the human beside him, but through the bond, the banshee kept mostly to himself, aware that he was not allowed to eat this human. Jake broke off tsaheylu and dismounted, trudging over to Kayla and motioning her to lift her arms.
"You're a lot smaller than I remember." He stated slyly while inspecting her person for any trackers or listening devices, gently taking the bag from her shoulder and flipping it open.
"Last I checked, I was taller than you in your wheelchair, so watch yourself."
He glanced up from the bag and hissed playfully at her, causing a small smirk to form behind the glass of her mask. Jake hands her back her belongings and then rejoined his ikran, taking a few sticks of dynamite and a detonator out from the pockets of his saddle.
Kayla frowned at the sight of the explosives, glancing between them and the gunship, "Are you sure you don't want another gunship on your side? Two is better than one."
The Na'vi shook his head, "We can't risk it. For all we know, the RDA is tracking all their gear now."
Sighing in defeat, Kayla nods and stands off to the side while Jake rigs the gunship with explosives and calibrates the blasting cap with a timer. He walks back to his ikran, forming tsaheylu before hopping on and reaching down to Kayla with an offered hand. She takes it willingly and allows him to lift her up on the banshee while Bob grunts disapprovingly at the added weight. Jake places Kayla in front of him on the saddle and they take to the sky, high enough to be out of range when Jake finally hits the button setting off the detonator.
The gunship explodes in a blooming flower of fire and debris, the smoke rising into the air in the form of a small mushroom cloud. The loud noise disturbs the wildlife momentarily, with small forest ikran and stingbats taking to the sky. Jake doesn't give the explosion much thought as he grabs a tighter hold on Eywa te' Bob tan'sey mak'ta with one hand, but squeezes Kayla's shoulder with the other, "Now with any luck, they'll label you killed in action."
"Or missing." She muttered.
"Ardmore isn't gonna want that kind of paperwork. She would much rather label you as a traitor than start a manhunt looking for you lost in the woods. You said it yourself, she doesn't like wasting resources on just one individual."
"... So that's it? Just like that, we disappear?"
"Not what you were hoping for?" He peered down at her briefly before looking ahead, continuing to fly.
Kayla hesitates, glaring ahead at the skies while internally fighting with herself before finally confessing her inner thoughts, "A part of me thought it would've been easier for the both of us if I never found out you were still alive. We could've just-- lived out the rest of our lives living in our respective worlds."
Jake allows the wind to fill in the silence, noting how defeated she sounded even with her back to him and the air whipping past them, obscuring her voice. He shakes his head despite the fact she couldn't see him, "The 'what if' scenarios aren't a thing around here. We don't believe in that kind of thing. Everything happens for a reason, and everything happens because it is the will of Eywa. I hope, in time, you'll learn to call this world your own as I did, kiddo."
She drops the debate, for the moment, and scoffs distastefully, "Okay, new rule. No more 'kiddo' talk. I'm not a child."
He smirks, "No? Then why are you small like one?"
He earns himself a sharp, small elbow in his ribcage when she reached back at him and a threatening promise, "Just wait, Sully. Soon I'll have your kids pinned against ya with all the stories I have of you up my sleeve. You'll regret the day you decided to pull me into this world."
~~~~~~~~~
Her nerves returned when they flew back to High Camp and a horn was blown to announce their arrival. Bob lands and Jake helps Kayla down before letting the ikran fly away. Na'vi were beginning to gather, and Kayla, yet again, felt more exposed than usual, even more so now as she was given some obvious glares regarding her obvious sky demon body and military clothes. Jake places a hand on the back of her neck, yet again, and led her away, immediately finding his family huddled together in the back of the crowd, waiting for him. He and Kayla part through the Omatikaya that have gathered and now stood in front of the Sullys.
Kayla wasn't surprised to see them all slightly hesitant by her human presence, and even though she couldn't blame them, it still made her stomach clench uncomfortably. She couldn't meet any of their eyes due to the height difference, and to her horror, even Tuk was taller than her in this form. When Kayla's eyes met the youngest Sully child's, Tuk shied away behind her mother's leg, clearly curious but unsure of getting closer. Off to the side, Kayla noticed that Norm, Max, and Spider were also there to greet her, and, much to her disappointment, even they stood taller than her as her fellow humans. The traitors. Kayla has never felt so small in her whole life.
Jake pats Kayla's back in sympathy while addressing the family, "Alright, Sullys. Your Aunt Kayla is going to be a more permanent presence in our lives now, and she's going to need help to feel welcomed as both a human and a Na'vi. I'm counting on you to have her back, okay?"
And of course, Neteyam is dutifully the first to step up, offering his hand out to Kayla with a gentle smile, "It's wonderful to meet you, Auntie-- again."
She sees a small hint of humor behind his eyes and relaxes, taking his hand in both of hers and smiling up at her oldest nephew, "You, too, 'Teyam."
He steps aside when he felt the shadow of his little brother behind him. The ice is broken and Lo'ak is milking the height difference with good-natured laughs and Spider was egging him on, glad that he was no longer the shortest out of the group. Kayla felt a grin twitch on her lips without her consent and pinches Lo'ak's side to make up for it, laughing when he yelped in surprise. Kiri had walked up, holding Tuk's hand so she didn't feel alone and the sight of the girls reminds Kayla that she had come bearing gifts to try to ease the kids back into accepting her.
"Kiri--" she calls out while frantically fishing around in the bag she kept strapped at her hip. Pushing aside a few necessities she had taken with her, she pulled out a book and sighed in relief, smiling up at the girl while holding the gift out to her, "As promised."
Kiri's eyes widen and reached out, gingerly taking the gift as if it was something precious. She read the title and then the author's name before glancing back down to Kayla, eyes and smile warm, "Thank you, Auntie."
Finally, Tuk's shell cracks and she begins by poking and prodding at the human woman that now stood shorter than her, lifting Kayla's arms and inspecting her form in awe before her fingers find her aunt's hair and instantly start playing with it. The girl giggles while stating, "It's so soft! We gotta braid all this, Kiri."
"Tomorrow, sweetheart, okay?" Kayla shines a smile at her youngest niece, who nods eagerly and puts her whole weight into hugging her aunt, who is barely able to catch her before they could fall.
Jake smiles while watching the heartwarming interactions before tapping Human Norm on the shoulder, "You got a space for her, right?"
"Absolutely. The second half of the old shack is still functional and is currently being used as storage. She can have my old bunk if she wants."
Jake's nose scrunched up, a little put off by the suggestion, "I doubt she'd want it if I told her all the things you and Trudy got up to in that bunk. She can have Grace's old space."
Norm snorts while shamefully scratching the back of his head, "Sure thing. Probably a better idea." He breaks away to greet Kayla himself, putting on the widest grin as he stands next to her, comparing their height difference with his hand much like before, "It's nice to see that this transfers, no matter what form you take."
Kayla rolls her eyes and shoves him in the chest, causing Norm to bark out a surprised laugh. Through reacquaintance with her family and friends, Kayla had noticed Neytiri standing off to the side in her peripheral. The human woman took a moment to pointedly stare at the Na'vi woman, their eyes meeting and forming a standstill. Neytiri was stiff, both in posture and expression, a statue that didn't waver against Kayla's gaze. It unsettled the Sully woman but she tried not to show that in her eyes, instead she brought her fingers to her forehead, and lowered them in Neytiri's direction. The Na'vi woman blinked, and with the gesture, her posture began to relax. Neytiri smiled. It wasn't big or emotional, but it was small and sincere. She nodded back in response.
After dinner, Norm brought Human Kayla to her new room she would be sleeping in when out of her avatar body. It was a separate trailer from the biolab, standing on its own and older than some of the buildings the humans have taken from Hell's Gate. Norm explains that the trailer was a part of Site 26, a small mobile link meant for avatar scientists who went off-grid for research in the mountains. He tells the story of how he was part of a small science group who retreated there to work so people like Parker Selfridge and Colonel Miles Quaritch wouldn't be breathing down their necks back in the day. After he and Kayla go through the airlock pressure doors and step inside, Kayla takes off her mask and looks around, immediately noticing a few familiar sights.
The first was a wheelchair, abandoned, covered in dust, tossed off to the side. Clearly, the place needed some cleaning, but Kayla wasn't worried about the dust at the moment. She beelined for the wheelchair, bending down and helping it stand back up on its wheels. Norm stands in the doorway and watches the scene in front of him with a solemn reaction, explaining as she continued to look around, "This is it. This is where Jake and I made our last stand as avatars before the fight. The other half of this shack is where the link bays were, but the trailer was completely demolished back in the war and so we left it abandoned out in the woods."
She moved over to the desk and lifted a picture from its home there, blowing away the layer of dust and revealing the contents of the picture. It was clearly Jake at the front of the group photo, human, sitting in that very same wheelchair, smiling at the camera lens. Kayla's finger briefly traces her brother's old face, willing her mind to remember it after staring at his avatar form for so long. Standing on either side of him was Norm and a woman Kayla didn't recognize. Clearly of a military background, the woman -at least younger back then compared to Kayla now- grinned behind her sunglasses, her dark hair pulled back in a ponytail and spilling over one side of her shoulders. Behind Jake, with both hands firmly placed on his shoulders, stood an older woman with short, curly red hair and sparkling eyes as she smiled, proudly, at the camera.
Kayla hears Norm shuffling around behind her and gently places the picture down, turning back to him as the male scientist was moving around some old equipment and patting the mattress of a bottom bunk off to the side of the trailer, "This was Grace's bunk. It's yours now."
That night, as she sat alone in her new living quarters, Kayla got to work on making this place feel more like home. The first order of business was to clean away all the old pictures and put up the new ones-- well, not really new compared to the photo of Jake, Norm, and the two women. Kayla retrieved her envelope of pictures and placed one photo on the mini-fridge, inspecting it for a moment before she had to move on.
The picture was definitely older than the ones of Jake and the scientists. It was a picture that was taken roughly a month before Tommy was killed. The twins were sitting on the couch so Jake could feel a bit of normalcy, requesting that his wheelchair be kept out of the frame of the photo. The twins smiled at the camera, and Kayla stood behind the back of the couch, leaning over her brothers with a wide grin on her face. Present Kayla smiles to herself before moving on to the next big step of her life.
~~~~~~~~~
As promised, Kayla spends the next morning and afternoon with her nieces, in human form, so that she can watch and learn how to properly braid Na'vi hair. She learns this by letting the girls use her unconscious avatar as a demonstration. Kayla's avatar hovered in her sleeping hammock, unconscious to the world, while both Kiri and Tuk weave every little bit of her locks into various small, intricate braids, pulling them tight along her scalp and purposely braiding the hair behind her large ears so the locks were out of her face. Kayla watched from off to the side, trying to pay attention even as the braiding took hours to complete. Tuk eventually got bored and left her sister to finish the look before excitedly asking her aunt if she could braid her human hair instead, to which Kayla agreed but only if the braids were larger and didn't take as long.
As the girls worked on both human and Na'vi hair, they decided to share their parents' love story, much to Kayla's awe, amusement, and horror all in one. Of course, she was curious about how her brother and Neytiri met and why Jake decided to turn against his own kind for her, but Kayla wasn't hoping for any specific details. Unfortunately, the Na'vi do not shy away from such topics and even openly talk about it to their young, as Tuk liked to prove to her auntie as she refused to spare her any... scrutinous details.
"-- And then they mated before Eywa!"
Kiri's body and tail go rigid even as she frantically scrambles over hammocks to cover Kayla's ears while berating her loudmouth sister, "Tuk!"
Despite the uncomfortable conversation, Kayla found herself laughing to the point she was crying, holding her ribs as they ached and wheezing until she couldn't breathe. She didn't find the initial storytime hysterical, but Kiri's haste to spare Kayla's dignity, Tuk's innocent gaze, and Kiri's hands practically folded on either side of the human woman's face definitely acted as the cherry on top.
Days went by and Kayla was much more comfortable jumping in and out of her avatar form, even more so now that she wasn't waking up and being constantly poked and prodded. On one of her first days as a human in High Camp, Kayla wore a tank top and was bombarded with concerned questions when Max noticed all the needle scars on her arms. Although she tried not to think about how she was practically a guinea pig for the RDA, her family wasn't letting her forget it. Max must have told Jake because the olo'eyktan regarded his duties for the day to instead take some time to spend with his little sister. He grabbed a child's bow and brought her down to the forest floor to do some fishing, even keeping a spare mask strapped to his hip for her if she needed it. He never asked about the scars, but Kayla could feel his eyes on her arm when she pulled the string of her bow back and tightened her form per his instructions.
After firing and missing a few arrows, clearly distracted by his stares, she sighed heavily before turning to look up at him, "It'll never happen again, thanks to you."
~~~~~~~~~
In between lessons, Kayla was finally getting to know other humans who honorably live among the Omatikaya. One individual, Jocelyn, was one of Kayla's personal favorites, aside from Norm and Max. Jocelyn was a biolab tech and didn't own an avatar, so she goes about her day normally, as a human, with a breather mask always secured on her face. Her knowledge stemmed from fixing vital technology -to help the humans survive- all the way to medical training -to keep the avatars kicking-. Not only did she live among the Na'vi, she talks to them fluently, and they don't appear bothered by her tiny presence. Kayla often sees Jocelyn, short as she is, trailing after a couple of young Na'vi hunters. Two young men, to be precise, who always love showing their little sky demon friend things they've brought back from their travels outside High Camp. They always let Jocelyn take samples and further inspect whatever they bring home. Not only was she a technician and a healer, she was also a scientist and she was always hungry for more knowledge of the world she lived in.
But even though she's full of wonder and excitement, she is also pretty strict. The kids in particular exasperate Jocelyn and Kayla always gets a kick out of watching her trying to wrangle the Sully kids whenever Spider sneaks them around the biolab. Kayla has interacted with Jocelyn loads of times at this point and always found her intriguing, but this took the cake, especially when she noticed how Spider practically had the female biotech wrapped around his finger. To be fair, Spider has most of the human scientists and avatars wrapped around his finger. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and the humans left behind on Pandora were no exception when it came to raising Spider.
However, despite this, Kayla couldn't help but wonder why Spider doesn't hang out with anyone else outside of the humans and the Sullys. He's an overall good kid and he's passionate about the Na'vi culture. If it weren't for the physical looks, Kayla would've definitely thought he was one of the Omatikaya when they first met.
She decides to ask him about this one day when Spider decided to sit down and teach her more of the language. Kayla was in her avatar form that day, now sporting tightly braided hair with beads that clicked when she walked. Kayla had to admit that she liked her new look even more knowing that her nieces had woven her a new identity. Spider appeared relaxed while teaching her certain words that are generally used in combat while her mind was still buzzing with her own questions.
"So do you just hang out with Kiri and Lo'ak or do you have other friends?"
Spider shrugged, "Some of the other scientists had kids while being stuck here, but I was older than all of them so I didn't play with them much."
Kayla nods, indicating she was listening. She had been told of Ardmore's initial threats to the humans who harbored Jake Sully and the Omatikaya when the Sky People first returned to Pandora. Some humans, especially the ones with families, stood down and surrendered in exchange for full pardons and safety for their children. That included Spider's foster family, the McCoskers. From what Kayla has heard, Spider's foster family was not the greatest of guardians, especially the foster father. He had betrayed Jake and the Na'vi to Ardmore, being responsible for the deaths of fellow humans who sympathized with the Omatikaya. Jake didn't go into depth with what happened to the McCoskers and the other humans who surrendered, but she assumed that for Spider's own sake, no one wanted to mention them now that they're gone.
Spider didn't appear to notice Kayla's inner turmoil as he continued, "Tuk is kinda in the same boat. I hung out with Neteyam for a while there. We're the closest in age... but he hasn't really been wanting to hang out anymore."
"Why not?"
The boy stares off in the distance, unable to keep his eyes on Kayla for long before he has to look away again as he muttered, "Probably because he's training to be the next olo'eykan. Which is fine. Good for him."
It sounded only partially genuine, and Kayla doesn't back down, "But Kiri can still hang out with you even as... uh... what's the word for tsahik in training?"
"Tsakarem."
"Right." Silence lingers until Kayla braves awkward silence, "It... it doesn't have to do with whatever Neytiri has against you, does it?"
A scowl immediately forms behind the breathing mask, "She hates me. Hates the fact her kids love me even more."
"From my experience, it doesn't take much to be on her bad side," she tried lightening up the mood, "I wouldn't sweat it too much, kid."
"You don't get it."
"Don't I? I know she's not overly fond of humans."
"It's more than that with me. To her... I remind her of the man who nearly took everything from her family. My father was Quaritch."
The name sounds bitter on Spider's tongue, clearly a bad taste for him. Kayla's comically big and yellow eyes widen even further, "You mean the colonel who ran security at the mine before the humans were sent back to Earth?"
He only nods and she hisses in sympathy, "Shit. Okay, I can see why you'd have a hard time getting on Neytiri's good side."
"Yeah. No kidding."
~~~~~~~~~
Unlike Spider, it didn't take Kayla a whole lot to get on Neytiri's good side, but it's not as though she had to try. Neytiri was already warming up to Kayla, both in and out of her avatar form. The Na'vi woman sometimes enjoyed Kayla's presence in her human body, despite not wanting to be around the other Sky People that live amongst her clan. In many ways, Neytiri felt as though she was with Grace or Sylwanin again. They would've loved Makayla Sully. She was more level-headed than Jake -or at least compared to when he was younger- and she was observant, someone who calculates before doing anything. She thought ahead and she always had something Neytiri remembered Grace calling 'common sense'.
Neytiri grew to appreciate Kayla and would fondly watch her interact with Jake. Neytiri was aware that her mate had at least one sibling in the past, but up until now, she could only imagine what kind of a brother he was. With Kayla around, Neytiri got to see a side of her husband he hadn't let anyone see before. With Kayla around, a bit of mischief returns to his eyes, always ready to tease his sister without a second thought, regardless of who was watching. Mo'at wanted to berate the olo'eyktan for such childish behavior, but Neytiri was quick to silence her mother, "They need time to be reacquainted as siblings."
And siblings they were. Neytiri often smiled when around the adult Sully siblings. Watching Jake and Kayla interact often reminded her of other sibling duos, such as Neteyam and Kiri, or even herself and Sylwanin. But it's not to say Jake and Kayla were the most perfect siblings. Kayla still had trouble forgiving Jake for past mistakes and would often remind him of said mistakes just to add dirt to the fresh, reopened wound. Neytiri understands why Kayla must hurt Jake the way she had been hurt, but Jake was still Neytiri's husband and she was protective -if not a little possessive- of him. So, to try and find peace between the brother and sister, Neytiri decides to take Kayla hunting without Jake present.
Kayla didn't refuse, slipping into her avatar form and excitedly following Neytiri to her ikran. The pair fly down to the forest floor and immediately pick up a trail that had to be yerik. While tracking the animal down, Neytiri found it the best time to breach the topic, "Jake tries his best to help you feel at home here. You try your best to push him away."
Blunt as ever, she takes Kayla off guard, the female avatar turning back to face her with wide eyes. They stood in silence, the hunt momentarily forgotten until Kayla's mind catches up to her and she shakes off the initial shock. She turns back to the task at hand, following the tracks Neytiri had instructed her to follow with a scowl on her face, "Jake was the one who told me that relying on others won't help when you're trying to survive. I'm just living up to his advice."
"He's not like that. Not Ma Jake."
"Then congratulations, Neytiri," she exclaimed sarcastically, "You got to experience the best side of him. I didn't. I lost a brother before him. I can do it again."
"Can you?"
She is met with silence again, staring at the back of Kayla's head. Neytiri took the moment to admire the braids her daughters have woven into their aunt's hair before bringing herself back to the present and gently adding, "I understand."
"Do you?"
"I lost my sister," Neytiri forced out, her tongue tasting bitter from the words. She never said such things out loud, and the shock that sinks into Kayla's face was one of the reasons why. Neytiri despised any pity people send her way after everything she's lost. She didn't want the pity, especially now when she has more family than she ever thought she'd have. "The Sky People murdered her right in front of me. I was only a little older than Neteyam when it happened."
Kayla's mouth opened and closed as she tried to come up with something comforting to say but the only words that come out are her initial thoughts, "Oh, my God. I'm sorry."
Neytiri tightens her lips together and briefly smiles before letting it fall, having heard all those words before. She took point in the hunt, walking ahead while following the tracks so she wouldn't have to look at her sister-in-law, "Can I ask? What happened to Tomsully?"
"He was killed," Kayla explained automatedly, "Some... murderer with a gun shot him down in the streets and left him to die alone. It was cold and raining that day. They said he didn't suffer, but..." Kayla shook her head to refrain from thinking about it, "I wasn't there. Neither was Jake. I was job searching and Jake was out drinking his life away. He never mentioned?"
"He grieves as I do. I don't talk of my sister. My children don't know enough about her. Ma Jake says little about his old life."
Kayla swallowed thickly, eyes hard as she stared at the back of Neytiri's head, "Let me guess. He never mentioned me."
The Na'vi woman paused in her steps, hesitating before finally turning back to meet Kayla's eyes, "I did not know he had a sister until you came here."
That stung. It stung knowing that neither women were ever aware of each other until now but Kayla couldn't wrap her head around another mystery, "So-- how are you so calm about all of this? Why are you so accepting of me? I'm part of the same species that's responsible for your sister's death."
"So is Ma Jake."
"But you're not hostile toward me like you had been when you first met Jake, or so I'm told. Why?"
Neytiri smiles, opening her mouth and taking a breath before whispering, "... You are my husband's sister. He shares your blood... as do my children."
She steps closer to Kayla, reaching out and placing a gentle hand on her shoulder, much to Kayla's surprise as Neytiri proclaims, "You are Makayla te Suli tsmuke te Toruk Makto. You are my family now. Ma tsmuke."
Kayla's ears and tail twitch in attention to the sound of her name, using her newly gained knowledge of the language to finally understand what her sister-in-law said. Slowly, a smile formed on her lips, warm and quivering ever so slightly, nodding to Neytiri when she didn't have any other words to say.
She had always wanted a sister.
~~~~~~~~~
By the time the kids had gotten used to Kayla's human form, they were dying to show her their world through her eyes and not her avatars'. Without her night vision, everything glowed so beautifully at night and Spider suggested taking her to some fields to watch the fan lizards fly. Lo'ak was immediately all for the idea, dragging the rest of his siblings into it so they could all go. His parents were hesitant at first, but then Kayla reassured them that she'll keep a close eye on the children and so Jake and Neytiri relaxed before seeing them all off, wishing them to have fun.
The children didn't waste time once they were deep in the forest, hunting for kenten as eclipse rolled around. Before she could blink, Kayla was completely surrounded by floating lizards, glowing in many shapes and colors, flying above her head with helicopter-like wings. All the kids laughed at her reaction, the human gobsmacked by such wonder. Tuk tugged her along and the kids all began running around in the fields, disrupting more fan lizards and laughing as the animals took to the sky, igniting the world around them with their soft lights.
Kayla stood off to the side, watching the children and laughing with them. After a time, Spider had taken a break from the fun and collapsed on the ground at Kayla's feet, laughing in between catching his breath. Looking up, he noticed the adult's eyes on his and his smile immediately fell, quickly turning his eyes away to watch his friends play in the fields while trying his best to ignore Kayla's stares and shrink in on himself.
Kayla didn't take it to heart, only bluntly stating what she thought, "You prefer me in my avatar form, don't you?"
Spider's shoulders rise and fall but he still couldn't look at her, "... Sorry."
"No sweat. Can I ask why?"
He shrugged, "I don't know."
"I think I do. Can I guess?" Spider shrugs again and Kayla plops down in the spot beside him, resting her arms over her knees when she brought her legs up close to her chest, "Originally I only wanted to hang out with you and the other humans in my own skin so you didn't feel intimidated, but I think you're actually more intimidated by humans compared to Na'vi. You prefer my avatar because it's all you've ever known living here."
They sit in silence apart from the Sully kids laughing when one of the kenten decided to land on Lo'ak's face to rest. Spider huffed a small laugh at the scene but otherwise didn't say anything. Kayla grabs his attention again by elbowing him, "It's not a bad thing."
"It's not?"
"Why would it?"
He spares a glance at her, the reflection from both of their masks making it difficult to find her eyes right away, "You don't think it's bad that I prefer hanging out with a species other than my own?"
She flashed an amused, exasperated expression, "Kid, my brother permanently transferred his soul from one body to another of a completely different species. Do you think I'm one to judge you when you're the one teaching me the Na'vi ways and hanging out with my brother's kids?"
She laughed and Spider's ears heat up in shame, a little embarrassed for assuming the worst out of her. He looked away and mumbled under his breath, "My foster family didn't want me to forget where I came from."
"That's not bad either unless they forced you..." Initially, Kayla brushed off the silence until it began to linger too long, then she spared a glance back at Spider. He was stiff, unable to stare back while stubbornly keeping his eyes on the Sully kids. Kayla's eyebrows furrow, "Did they force you?"
"... What is Earth like?"
"Sure. You strike me as the kind of guy who would like music concerts. I'll start there."
Beating around the topic and finding a new one. Classic. It almost would have been easier if Spider had just said 'yes', but Kayla doesn't scold him. Instead, she hums, staring up at the stars as she thought back to her homeworld, "Nothing you would miss, kiddo."
"Can you tell me things I might've missed?"

A/N: Jocelyn is technically one of the many unnamed scientists we see in the Way of Water. She's the one who Tuk annoys with her toy in her first scene and further gets after the teens when they cut through the Avatar Longhouse. She technically doesn't have a name but I used her actress' real name to fill in the blanks.
Sorry if this felt a little rushed, but the next chapter is gonna be the start of the events that transpire during the Way of Water! Buckle up! We're getting close and I'm so excited to share with ya'll! Thank you so much for the support!

The ache in your head was outstanding. It was as if your brain was pounding and bashing against your own skull. The nauseous swirling in your stomach as your eyes slowly adjusted to the light shining through the crack of your marui’s entrance.
Sitting up, your sight was foggy. Rubbing your eyes with your fingers, the surroundings slowly moving into focus.
Wait. This marui…it is different. The space is larger… the decorations are nothing like you’d seen before. A feeling of fear welled in your stomach and sunk to your toes as you tried to remember the events from before.
Though as you turned to your right and noticed a softly snoring giant next to you, you let out a blood-curdling scream. Why were you in the chief’s bed? How drunk had you become. Oh no… nothing happened … did it?
Tonowari shot up in an instance, his heart racing and eyes blown wide in alert. “Are you hurt?” He asked concerned, eyes full of anxiety, then filling with realization… Ah last night.
“Why am I here?! Why am I in your bed? Did we fuck!? Oh great mother!” You were frantic, practically shaking as you’d instinctively held the blanket to your body, almost like a child cowering behind their mother.
“No. No! Let me explain, be calm please.” Tonowari had woken up abruptly, the consequences of his actions last night hitting him in the face, much too early in the morning. Yet, in all of this chaos, he couldn’t deny how beautiful you looked when the morning sun bounced off your sapphire skin. How your hair splayed across your shoulders, delicate hands close to your heart, gripping tightly onto the weaved blanket he had made years ago. Years before his mind and thoughts were corrupted by you.
“I shouldn’t be here…” You shake your head trying to rid of the horrific scenarios of your drunken stupidity out of your head. How had you ended up in the bed of your ex-boyfriend’s father. The same man who you had shamelessly dreamt about every night. He was so much older yet, your youth was attracted to him. Like two magnets pulling each other close.
“Y/N. Listen just for a moment.” His pleading eyes stared into yours. Oh how could you deny such a man filled with sweetness. He was like sugar so sweet, so addicting.
A small nod gave Tonowari the clearance to inhale deeply and start to explain the situation. “You were drunk last night…and so was I.” This only made you panic more. Two drunken idiots, that are most definitely attracted to each other?
“Please let me finish.” Tonowari pleaded seeing your eyes filling with anxiety once again. He wanted to caress your cheek, force you to stare into his eyes as he told you it was all going to be okay. But how could he allow himself to give in to that urge? What type of man would that make him?
“I followed you towards some the rocks…I was afraid you would hurt yourself. You started to cry and wail about … my son.” He winced at the mention of the Ao’nung situation that had occurred leading you to this mess. You winced as well, the memory barely fading from your memory. It stung in your heart and scratched your insides…it hurt so much. “I comforted you and took you here to sleep for the night. I did not want you going home alone.”
You nodded still grasping the situation ahead of you. “I’m sorry you had to see that.” It was incredibly embarrassing. The thought of him seeing you in such a wreck.
Tonowari frowned, a touch on your shoulder. He told himself it was friendly, but the way his fingers lit up with the feeling of your skin he couldn’t even kid himself. “Do not dare to apologize…the stupidity of my son is not something you should have ever had to endure. Y/N…I am sorry.”
He was so earnest. So honest. His words softly caressing your heart and making it flutter. Tears fought their way to well in your eyes. You refused to cry any more in front of your chief.
“Thankyou. But I should go. My family must be getting worried.” Why was your heart aching to stay, to once again cry in those huge, muscular arms. One last look at Tonowari, giving him a respectful bow as you stood up. His hand sliding off your shoulder, grazing the skin of your arm and waist.
He didn’t want you to go. If he could indulge in his greatest desires he’d keep you in his arm right in his marui, not a single soul interrupting the two of your time together. “Yes…you should. Goodbye Y/N.”
His voice was smooth yet rocky. It made no sense, but with an innocent yet yearning wave you exited the marui. Immediately speed walking towards your family’s marui for breakfast.

While you did have your own marui, you made it habit to go and eat your meals with your family. It was as if you made a heart-warming memory with them every time you sat on your woven mat and laughed with your family.
Walking into your marui your family was staring at you all each a different…an odd look on their faces. “What?” You said confused looking at them, mouth slightly agape as your younger brothers started to let out little chuckles.
“You look like a mess bro!” Lo’ak cackled out, slapping his knee in the process. Neytiri his flicking his shoulder.
“Lo’ak!”
“What?!” He pouted holding his inflicted shoulder, still chuckling every time he looked at you.
Did you look that terrible? Was it obvious you had gone too intense with the drinks? Did Tonowari think you looked terrible. Huh? Do not worry about him! You scolded yourself, refusing to let your shameful thoughts resurface in a time like this
“Sister you look slightly dishevelled that is all.” Kiri said calmly, but even she couldn’t hide the grin creeping onto her face. She tried to cover it up by eating more fruit, but her attempt was pointless.
“Hey! I do not look that bad.” A little stomp as you walked into the room, subconsciously patting down your hair.
“Yeah stop making fun of Y/N…she simply had a fun night” Neteyam giggled, even Lo’ak slapping his arm as they cracked up at the table.
Even Jake couldn’t hide his smile, the way his grown up daughter was now stomping her foot and complaining. It was just like back in the forest. Even Tuk laughed along, not like she understood of what her older siblings were referring to.
“What the- Neteyam!” A gasp left your mouth, what was this skxwang talking about. You were so going to kill him after breakfast.
“Sorry sis!” He snickered holding his hands up innocently. You simply rolled your eyes, and lightly smacked his head as you sat beside him. He gave you a tiny snarl as he continued to eat his food, and so did you. Filling your starving stomach with deliciously cooked breakfast

It was now late afternoon, the sky slowly darkening, as the calming waves rushed up just onto the tops of your feet. The water cold, but only enough to make you want to delve into the water more.
The scurrying of feet on the sand emerged from your side. Turning to investigate the sound…it was the last person you wanted to see.
Ao’nung.
Expression morphing into one of disgust, as he walked closer to you, you started to immediately get up to race away from him.
“Hey! Don’t go. C’mon Y/N! Let’s talk!” Ao’nung dragged his feet across the sand faster as he jogged up to you.
“No. Go away.” The words were cruel and stern, enough to make him rethink his decision to find and talk to you.
“Y/N! Come here for fuck’s sake! Stop being a brat!” Ao’nung had no right to be so cruel, especially when he was so deeply in the wrong.
Seething you turned swiftly marching towards him to lay a loud slap across his face. “Don’t you dare talk to me like that!” You hissed at him. Hand stinging from the impact.
“Did you just slap me?”
“Do you need another one? You cheating scum.” Ao’nung scoffed as he rested a tight grip on your shoulder. It was nothing like his fathers. No it was harsh and tight, there to inflict pain. Such a strong contrast to the tenderness of Tonowari’s touch.
“Get over it… c’mon Y/N it was just a mistake.” Ao’nung was lying through his teeth. He’d never admit it, but he loved every minute with that girl. Shit, he’d go back for seconds if he didn’t have girlfriend. But he’s a good boyfriend, so he won’t.
“the only mistake was trusting you.” Rage was coursing through your body. How dare he come up to you and speak with you like this as if he had not, disrespected your union and broken apart your heart.
“C’mon Y/N, is this a forest thing? Being such a bitch?” Ao’nung chuckled you, he knew everything to get right and comfortable under your skin. He had his signature smirk on his face, a shit eating grin, begging for another slap.
“Is it a reef thing? To be such a disrespectful, immature, unlovable piece of filth?” Floored. You had floored him with your words.
He had never been hit with such words of disrespect. His mouth hung open, shocked at each syllable that had the nerve to exit your mouth.
“Are you seriously calling me unlovable?” The look in his eye was evil, a glint of pure rage seething through him as his tail lashed and thumped on the ground.
You nodded, trying to not be intimidated by his towering stance.
“You were lucky that I ever gave you a chance. Freak. How could you ever think you were ever worth enough to be worthy to the reef? Even the great mother abandoned you. Nature is not on your side, and nor is love. You are a freak, a demon.”
Your heart shattered. To think he would use such low insults on you. As if you hadn’t spent night crying in his arms about you feeling so out of place, so out of luck. And he had turned your vulnerabilities into daggers back to stab you in the back.
Tears welled up in your eyes. Biting your lip, sucking in the sob that desperately begged to come out.
“did you ever love me?” I ask softly, trying to keep the shakes out of my voice, blinking away the tears.
“Who cares. I don’t now.” And those words were like a slap against your face, lashing you to a harsh reality as you whimpered.
In the long run. You wondered how you ever thought you could be loveable. You weren’t in the forest, and neither were you in the reef. And now as you seethed and tried not to sob. All emotions took over, no logic whatsoever occurring in your mind.
“Your father does.” As soon as it rolled off your tongue you wanted to suck it back in. Shit, Fuck, shit. You should not of uttered a single word.
“what.”
