My favorite part of slippery slopes was when Noah and Alejandro had an off screen slapstick looney-toons inspired game of cat and mouse while Alejandro chases Noah through a train, all culminating in one of the most passionate, tense, and romantic scenes in the entire book.

Noah was probably laughing, making funny looks at the camera, and saying sarcastic quips while tripping his opponent with a newspaper and hiding in absurdly obvious places and then like 10 minutes later him and that same opponent are tangoing on the roof of the train while Alejandro is singing about “wanting more” from their relationship and trying to both tell and not tell Noah about his deep longing for him.

I fucking love this fic.

This short graphic novel revels in the tall tales about Bunyan while showing their origin as stories created to justify the clearcutting of indigenous lands all over the U.S. by lumber companies. I found Myles's essay about indigenous stories about wood spirits / Little People particularly compelling, and plan to try to track down a few of those. Eliopoulos's comics are fantastic, and so is this picture book about a young boy whose favorite action figure is missing. His emotions are drawn as creatures (that's anger on the cover before it gets ugly and explodes). Eliopoulos turns it all into a nice lesson on sharing (with one's younger siblings even).

Apple is "a nasty piece of fruit." It's true, seriously -- he's a total bastard to other foods and flowers and then he goes too far. Sanders's illustrations, and particularly their colors, are wonderful. (There's even a sequel of sorts, Apple Grumble, in which Granny Smith tries to teach Apple some manners.)

Pauline is the oldest kid in her family and it feels like she's always in the wrong place at the wrong time. But she finds a hidden, quiet space for herself, but then she gets bored alone and so plans to secretly jump on a boat to France to visit her grandma (also named Pauline). This is another great picture book in comics format, which I believe was originally published as a graphic album for kids in France.

Ah, so Buster and Babs from Tiny Toons aren't siblings. I must admit that my memories of the actual show are inexistant but for the movie (that I still watched a few weeks ago) and I was so confused whether they were siblings or not because Babs just kept thirsting for Buster and the movie didn't give enough information on it. It won't change my life, but I'm glad to know the answer now. (Tbf, I wouldn't have been surprised that Looney Tunes had some kind of wacky incest...)

Yeah, OG! Babs and Buster aren't siblings. It even led to one of their most famous jokes during the "Noah's Lark" segment in Animaniacs where they had a cameo.

Noah is listing off all the animals and when he gets to the rabbits, Babs and Buster come up, look at each other, and say 'No relation'.

HIIIIIIII okie this is going to probab;y be a very jumbled adnd maybe confusing and long post bc AA but i will try to make it understandable and write it before my ride gets here and picks me UP OKIE (edit i have been adding onto this post on my shift since like 1 am my time so i apologize if its confusing my work laptop is weird ANYWAYS)

I only have one s/i aside from just straight?? up me?? (or a backstory if that makes sense) and thats neph or, the cat/shark guy (Funfact!!! neph came from a convo with toonie, ill explain a bit below but he is cursed to not have a name and since hes a Nephilim toonie decided to start calling him neph, as like a shorter version of it! (thanks toon ! :3 💛)

to begin obviously he is a Nephilim, i hc six also is one since i remembered my mom telling me something about the Nephilim teaching humanity about technology i dont know where it is said about that but thats where that hc comes from!! they are both (neph and six) are kind of a 'different' kind of Nephilim as in they are only related with technology and were apart of the ones that showed humanity technology, so example both him and six both have the ability to go through the television and when it is invented computers/phones etc, that just kinda explains the general basis of how he works the cat tail/shark stuff is cause im cringe and think that combo looks cool and that he can shapeshift (As i imagine most nephilims can?) and since he mostly exist on a digital plane no one is going to question if they see some weird combination of animal on some animated program if he were to appear in it even though he looks like that physically also. due to the fact that he is a Nephilim, he obviously isnt liked by most beings from the heavens since he is a product of a human and a fallen angel and was cursed by the big g himself to not have a name nor be seen physically by humanity, which can get pretty lonely and make someone weird, he has a long history of being chased out by various angels that catch him lurking by (he likes to hang out around the garden of eden, thats where him and toonie met) ALSO if we are gonna get specific michael DOESNT like him and has definitely nearly killed him like twice. hes welcome in hell tho :))) neph doesnt hold any hard feelings twards angels for not being fond of him considering what he is, but not all of them are like that. obviously, toon being one of them (or i guess archangel gabriel if we are being literal but i dont want to confuse alt g and him so i will say toon)

when they both first met toon was definitely a little anxious at first considering hes heard of Nephilims/his peers going after them/ and the flood in general (by the way, i dont remember what ep it is but i hc when alt g tells noah something will be joining him on the boat it neph was apart of that (specifically six and neph, and some type of alternate, since the flood also wiped out Nephilims he had to keep some alive to help him) anyways back to what i was saying sjhfdfh they ended up becoming close and when toon isnt off doing angel or messenger duties hes usually with neph in the garden of eden (same goes with if neph isnt doing something for alt g or something along those lines) after the events of overthrone (if we go by the toonb/riel sand tomb theory i know some people think that was jesus or atleast my roomate hcs this so ) neph wasnt told about what had happened to him and was confused why he was no longer able to find him, noticing that there was definitely something very wrong with the heavens (due to alt gs actions yk) he ends up eventually figuring out what had happened and in a weird time/universe fucky way is able to get toonb/riel out, since its no longer safe at all for toon to exist (and also alt gab doesnt know that he has escaped) he basically is forced to exist within the realm of media in a strange way (BEGINNER BIBLEEEE HEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEEHEHE) though this isnt 100% set in stone and it changes but i like to think it would be cool if he is able to exist within the realms of technology as some digital angel OKIE i am SO SO SO SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG POST i got so giddy and excited at seeing this ask and have been trying my best to figure out how to answere it THANK YOU SO MUCHF OR ASKING ME!!!!!!

She was kicked out at 12 when she met Brutus, who was also living on the streets at the time. She essentially functions as Brutus' personal first aid giver. He was born and raised in Buckstone, a deep south-type town, a few miles away from Toontown and came to Toontown to get away from his homophobic family. He met Brutus—who had a massive crush since the moment he saw him—his first day there and he showed him around. He's very repressed because of his roots. Shortly after showing up in Toontown, he had to go back home to take care of his mother because his father died. He had finally been able to be himself and it was ripped away from him, and he got very depressed. He finally came back to Toontown after a suicide attempt Brutus managed to stop that gave him asthma. He idolizes his brother Zeke and is close with Gabe because they shared a room growing up. He eventually comes out to both of them and they accept him. His mom comes around eventually too. Luke always bullied him growing up and never accepts him. He also has a slight lisp which is irrelevant but cute. Full Name: Murray (i dont have a last name for him), later Rose Pronouns: formerly he/him, later any Sexuality: Straight-ish (later pansexual) Gender: Genderfluid (identifies as cis for a large portion of life) Height: 5'9" Murray was in an accident as a teenager with a faulty cog that caused him to lose most of his ear, some of his hearing, and causing damage to his left leg. His knee randomly gives out and he sometimes falls down, so he walks with a cane most of the time and occasionally uses a wheelchair. Later on the damage progresses and he has to have his leg amputated, hence the prosthesis in the drawing. He is a very affectionate, high-energy optimist with mom-friend energy. They are very good at gentle parenting techniques and helps Alex keep their temper under control. In return, Alex helps him with his chronic pain and mobility issues. He believes himself to be straight, but stays with Alex after they come out to him as trans and later comes out as nonbinary themself (they use both Murray and Rose interchangeably) They grew up with two moms who support him and Alex both emotionally and financially which is why the two most disabled of my ocs have the best house Interest(s): Flower Crown Weaving

EAD: Bugs's preliminary debut was on April 30, 1938; Daffy's first appearance was on April 17, 1937. Since there are a lot of variations through the franchise, a lot of fans decide to "age" the toons by debut date. Ergo, there's a 1-year difference between them.

Al was born in 1934, and Sam was born in 1953; there's a 19-year difference between them.

Sky High introduces Will as a new student; as it's made obvious that he's a freshman, he's likely 14. Warren is made evident of being an older student; I figure he's a sophomore: 1-year difference.

Shane was born in '88, and Ryland was born in '91. It's a 3-year difference.

Sylar is 31 at the beginning of series 1 (2006), and Mohinder is 41 at the end of series 4 (2011). 11-6=5; 41-5=36, so there is a 5-year age difference.
