been looking to get back into writing, but a lot of my partners that I write with haven't been active at all lately, so I've mostly been inactive and waiting for people to reply.

SHU — WITHIN TEMPTATION

let's start with some nice symphonic metal! it's pretty obvious since shu likes classical music. he's relatively calm (maybe too much) but there's a storm inside of him: his double side fits this band a lot imo. moreover, within temptation are powerful but also ethereal, so even though they're "heavy" i think he would give a chance to them :D he would occasionally cover their songs on violin if he feels like it.

REIJI — APOCALYPTICA

staying on the symphonic metal side, we have apocalyptica. this band is so peculiar since it's only formed by three cellos and drums, but i can assure you they're metal lmao. they're neat, polished, elegant and mature: all of these are basic reiji traits! (shu likes them too but he listens to them secretly lol)

AYATO — PARAMORE / HALESTORM

here he comes. my lil punk boi. i think about too many artists when it comes to ayato, cause honestly just every pop punk artist does it for me, but early paramore music gives me HUGE teen emo vibes (both angsty and romantic) that represent ayato so well!! i already stated it in my rocker!ayato headcanons post, but he would blast the RIOT! album at every hour of the day.

regarding halestorm, they represent his "darker" side. they're heavier and more aggressively free-spirited. now tell me if he wouldn't sing Love Bites (So Do I) to yui "jokingly" lol.

KANATO — THE BIRTHDAY MASSACRE

how could i NOT associate kanato with the band that basically gave birth to the creepy cute genre, the birthday massacre? their particular goth/industrial sound blending with the vocalist chibi's cute, almost ethereal voice gives so many kanato vibes!! not to mention that the official color of the band is purple lmao. he'd find their album covers very aesthetic, i'm sure of it :D and i also think his fav album would be Violet, the creepiest of them all.

LAITO — LADY GAGA / THE PRETTY RECKLESS

basically laito's two personalities lmao. lady gaga doesn't need any introductions: her provocative and sexy persona shocked everyone and basically all of her songs could potentially be in laito's sex playlist.

the pretty reckless are also indeed sexy, but sexy-depressed??? sexy-angsty?? some of their songs are about embracing one's "dark" side, some others are about dealing with depression (especially in their latest works). i like how they both use the "sexy" façade while actually having more to offer. considering how much laito is broken inside, their music fits so well.

SUBARU — BRING ME THE HORIZON

i'll keep saying this: emo music isn't enough for this guy. this dude listens to metalcore and whatever is heavier than emo pop punk. i actually had issues with picking a band for him cause most of them are casual listens to me but!!! in the end i chose bring me the horizon. angsty emo. pure rage. that's simply subaru for you! sometimes he would sing to their songs in his room but never admit it lol.

RUKI — HIM

honestly, this guy would love gothic rock. i just know it. HIM is the perfect band for him! their dark, elegant, kinda sad sound reminds me of him a lot. and the lyrics too!! they're really poetic, mostly about love and death with a few mentions to eden (pun intended?); the vocalist ville valo often takes inspiration for his lyrics from the books he reads! ruki would definitely dedicate Vampire Heart to yui btw.

KOU — AVRIL LAVIGNE / ICON FOR HIRE

LISTEN. i've been headcanoning this ever since my first DL post ever but kou would be a huge avril lavigne fan. it would mostly represent his frivolous idol persona, but also some of what he hides underneath.

his realest and deepest side is represented by icon for hire. they're heavier, aggressive and talk a lot about sensitive topics. kou has one of the worst pasts among the DL characters and has dealt with pretty much everything going from depression, to abuse, to drug addiction, to suicidal tendencies. i think he'd find some sort of comfort in their songs.

YUMA — P.O.D.

i always pictured yuma as a hip-hop kinda guy, so i think he would like nu metal. being part of the angry and bothered trio with ayato and subaru, he's relatively the calmest one but that means nothing since we're in DL lol. p.o.d.'s passive-aggressive style reminds me of him so much and i swear i ALWAYS think about him when i listen to Youth of the Nation, it's like it talks about him and his brothers specifically.

AZUSA — EVANESCENCE

there are two types of emo: the angry emo and the sad emo. azusa obviously belongs to the second one. i can't really associate him to one genre in particular, it just depends on the ~vibes~, but i chose evanescence for him cause their lowkey eerie, slow style fits azusa a lot. fear of abandonment and selflessness are some of the themes they've covered and Lithium is the song that makes me think about azusa the most.

CARLA — NIGHTWISH

carla has that gothic royal-ish attitude that reminds of the first nightwish era (with tarja turunen as vocalist). i mostly tend to associate the deep, elegant lyrical vocals with carla's deep voice lol. it's just a matter of ~vibes~ again :D

SHIN — FROM FIRST TO LAST

this little shit would only listen to post-hardcore. nothing reminds me of shin more than a cringy "i'm angy >:(" music genre. i actually do enjoy some post-hardcore and from first to last is the exception. i think shin would fit especially in the Dead Trees era, aka FFTL's villain arc™: very silly, angsty and full of villanous vibes but more mature than their previous works.

KINO — AMARANTHE

gamer boi coming through with electronic metal!! amaranthe's futuristic mix of edm and metal + their in-your-face attitude is a perfect match with kino. PvP is THE kino song. the music, the lyrics, the game concept just suit him so well!! slay.

Ville Valo - religions and beliefs - atheism, christianity, satanism

Why would anybody care about some rockstar’s religion? Therefore there’s Ville Valo. Used so many symbols and did so many references to it. That’s why I think it’s a topic to talk about- it might get interesting.

He wasn’t growing in a religious family, in a religious country, so to these days it’s not the topic of his life.

But just at the beginning of HIM he used so many symbols, devil’s symbols such as 666 and the name of the band.

Ville has been always assuring us, that these are only symbols that he used more for fun and reference and because of his big fan of Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath.

Also name of the band (his infernal majesty) wasn’t taken directly from Antony Lavey books but from one of his favorite song back then- as he said in interview from nowadays, telling he is not sure still about origin of the name.

Clearly he’s not, more than 8 years ago he said:

After all it seems that name of the band has nothing with devil worship or something like that- it was more like playing fun with it- back then in 90s Sweden, Finland and Norwegia were the most black metal satanic bands in the world. It's very hard for me to deduce in what realities Ville lives because he believes in Christian heaven and hell, but he doesn't bring himself to the most important holiday for Christians-ok, I said it too bluntly and to be honest after this statement you can expect not 100% sincerity.

Another thing that can’t be unsaid: Jesus and Ville. Ville quite often talk about him, really.

In my interpretation, he used the motif of Jesus here as a sacrifice up to death. This motif fits very well with his concept of music - death and love. Maybe that’s why he used to wear Jesus on t-shirts and belts, crusader? Probably yes, it’s not like he believes in it, he just like more his story.

What today’s Ville Valo on all of this religious stuff?The Answer

For me it seems he is more like a person who believes in what he sees, sometimes he believes in Heaven, sometimes not, sometimes in God, sometimes not- for sure never in Satan since he has always used to be an opposite of it. What I could say as a…Christian- Ville mixes up in himself everything what he think is right- sometimes from Bible, sometimes,more often, from live experiences.

,, I think life is all about good manners. You should open up doors for ladies and you should say ‘thank you.’ You should not swear and you should not spit. That’s what my parents told me and that’s what I’m trying to do. It’s brought me this far.”

Ville just does what he thinks is moral and good, you can see it from the man he is now - it's probably the type of person who thinks that this is the most important thing in life and the settlement after death, if it exists at all, will decide.

Ville never grew up in family, with any beliefs like most Finns, so it's no wonder he doesn’t attach much importance to it like the rest of Europe, and treat it more as a culture.

Astra: When you bring up the idea of you two having sex together for the first time, Astra is tickled pink. She’s so happy that you care about her enough to want to sleep with her. Astra will quickly say yes and even suggest that you two plan a good day and time to do it in order for you both to be adequately prepared when you go to have sex with her.

Fade: Fade would likely teased you enough to make it clear that she wants to fuck you. But she truly respects your boundaries when you told her that you’re not ready for that. So, when you change your tune and approach Fade to take your relationship to that level, she’s eager to get things going. She’ll drop whatever it is she’s doing at that moment to have sex with you.

Jett: By the time you told Jett that you want to have sex with her for the first time, she’s eager to do it. She cares about you and wants to show you exactly that when she has sex with you. She may have become a tad impatient when you finally told her you wanted to sleep with her, but she knows deep down that the wait will be worth it. Your relationship matters more to her at the end of the day.

Killjoy: Sex doesn’t occupy Killjoy’s brain much, if at all. So, when you tell her that you want to sleep with her, she’s caught off guard. It may take her a minute to process that you really do want to sleep with her. It’s not that she doesn’t want to sleep with you- far from it, in fact. She just didn’t expect the topic to come up whatsoever. All that being said, Killjoy will happily sleep with you and will be touched that you even wanted to in the first place.

Neon: Just like with Killjoy, sex isn’t something Neon thinks of all that much. Unlike Killjoy, a small part of Neon knows that will come up at some point in your relationship. She doesn’t bring it up first because a) She doesn’t know if you even want to, and b) She’s worried she’ll accidentally shock you during sex. When you finally bring up that you do want to go there in your relationship, Neon will voice her concerns of hurting you with her radiant powers. You have to reassure her that you’re not worried about that happening; and even if it does, it’s no big deal and you get that it’s an accident. Once that’s been discussed, Neon will be on board to sleep with you.

Raze: Raze is more impatient than Jett- and is more vocal about it too. She won’t harass you to sleep with her. Rather, she’ll just flirt with you and tell you that she can’t wait to have sex with you. But when you tell Raze that you’re ready to sleep with her, her brain short-circuits. It just catches her off guard because she thought she would be the one initiating sex between you two. She’ll quickly get over this, however, in order to finally sleep with you.

Reyna: Like Fade, Reyna will tease you a LOT to make it crystal clear that she wants to fuck you. But in the same breath, she’ll tell you that she genuinely respects your boundaries and won’t force you to sleep with her. When you do tell Reyna that you’re ready to take your relationship to the next level, she’ll express her happiness that you’re ready for that. She would be willing to drop what she’s doing to to have sex with you right then and there. But she’s also cool with waiting until later that night to get down to business if you wish.

Sage: Sage falls under the same category as Neon- she doesn’t think too much about sex, but also understands that it’s bound to happen eventually in a relationship. She would wait until you brought it up, as your comfort and feelings are more important. When you do tell Sage that you’re ready to sleep with her, she’ll be delighted and happy to do so. Like Astra, she would also want to plan an appropriate time for you two to have sex for the first time in order for it to be just right. Sex is special to her, and she wants it to be a special experience with you.

Skye: Skye also gets the fact that the subject of sex will come up at some point in your relationship. She’ll drop hints that she’s ready for it and maybe even tease you a little, but isn’t as obvious as Fade and Reyna. When you tell Skye that you want to sleep with her for the first time, she’d be tickled pink and happily say yes. She would want it to be a good experience for both of you, but also wouldn’t hesitate to take control and do it right there if she’s horny enough.

Viper: Viper isn’t the type to worry too much about sex, as that involves feelings and feelings aren’t something she concerns herself over. So, when you tell her that you were interested in sleeping with her, she’s caught somewhat off guard. While she’ll act unfazed, she truly understands how much this means to you and wants to make you feel good. She would want to arrange a good time for you two to sleep together for the first time so that she can be prepared to make you feel good and vice versa.

Omen, Brimstone, Kay/o, and Breach would care the least. Omen and Kay/o can't really preform that way as one typically would and take no offense you not being sexually attracted to them after all they probably don't feel it either. Brimstone wouldn't get it at first but once he understood it wouldn't be a big deal. Breach is incredibly comfortable in his own sexuality so he is just happy you told him and may pick on you a little as he does mostly everyone.

Cypher and Sova would be absolutely respectful although semi confused at first. Sova is the sweet kind of confused that is initially alarmed but relieved once you come out to him. Once he is made aware of it he may be a bit intrusive so he can fully understand what you feel as well as the boundaries you may have. Cypher is taken aback by you coming out until he understands you aren't unattracted to him, you just experience little to no sexual attraction to anyone. Once he understands how it works for you he really couldn't care less and treats you no differently. He, however, is incredibly touched as he takes it meaning you like him regardless of how he is physically which is all he could ever ask for.

Chamber is the one who at first misunderstands then accepts it without asking any questions. He thinks that you are trying to break up with him by letting him down gently until you say you're asexual. At that point he just nods and goes, "Alright, i appreciate you telling me. Are we still good for dinner?" and rarely ever speaks of the topic again. Its not that he doesn't care about your sexuality, he does care and wants to understand you, but he would rather do that gradually and at his own pace than all at once.

Yoru and Phoenix have the biggest reaction out of the entire protocol. Yoru has a pretty bad but very on brand reaction. He gets offended off the bat, assuming you are insulting him by saying he isn't attractive or that you want to break up, and blows up at you. He walks off before you can fully explain and throws a tantrum over the coming days until either it hits him or someone hits it into him that you in fact were not being mean to him. At that point he googles what you said while planning an apology and pretty bluntly asks you if you are asexual then gives you whatever peace offering he's gotten. The following discussion is him asking far too many questions while also reaffirming you do still find him attractive. Phoenix isn't the least bit upset but is an extreme himbo that keeps making assumptions or interrupting you as you talk. After you very loudly telling him to let you speak he sits down and shuts up. Once everything is done and said he very politely asks any questions he still has then just shrugs. Your sexuality doesn't change your relationship with him and to be better safe than sorry he is going to ask your consent for even the smallest things going forward as to not make you uncomfortable

Endive: I would buy some treats from the store like fresh starwberries, chocolate and/or pastries and ice cold water and put them all in a basket and then go to a picnic with him in the forest. I would talk to him about all kinds of topics and my special interests and in turn I would listen to him talk too. After the picnic I would show him all of my favorite places in the forest and then we would go swimming in a river under a bridge. And after that we'd go lying on a meadow full of flowers just being close, listening to each other's heartbeat and kissing while enjoying the warmth of the Sun. Spending a whole day with him in nature during summer would be a dream come true.

me? i watch his streams when they aren't valo. so, yes, i've actually watched quite a few of them lately - i watched his rockstar ones, i watched all of the chess ones.

and i really think you can't dismiss tubbo's points as a "hate train" - that's just really reductive. he's a queer creator in this community giving his thoughts on kick, a platform built on openly bigoted content creators and a predatory gambling company. he's talked about kick before, this isn't a topic he's never touched before and only cared about when sapnap signed. he gets to have an opinion on something he's passionate about, which he clearly is.

this fandom is pretty big on Themes and Symbolism, which I really enjoy (I know many fandoms have this, but in DA it feels very... iconic, somehow?? like there's something about all the tarot and religious imagery and having each of your characters be a historical figure in the game's world that really lends itself to representing their stories through symbols and archetypes)

the fact that no game in the series is underappreciated. like, if you go looking, you will find people who are the most invested in Origins and people who are the most invested in DA2 and people who are the most invested in DA:I and all of those groups exist at the same time and all of them still make stuff about their favorite game/s.

2. a headcanon you weren't sure about at first but have come to like!

I guess this kind of leans into the "say good things about a ship" territory, but I'm going to say the "actually Hawke romanced Varric and he left it out of his story to protect their privacy" headcanon. I'm not a Varricmancer but I believe in their beliefs

sdjfsldfjk well, Homecoming is an easy answer, and even though I've been talking about it for days at this point, I think I still have to go with this one? it's the first high-effort fic I've posted since coming back to tumblr and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

Off topic from the language thing but can you explain the losing pistol round in valo thing every CC I watch says it’s obvious that if you lose the first round you lose the second it just doesn’t make sense to me sorry if I’m being stupid 💀

hey anogie sorry for the late answer i actually have so many valo asks that i never answer because im too afraid to answers peoples questions about valo lmaooooo

anyway i will be brave and answer:

so in valo in order to get good guns and shields and abilities you need credits. there is three ways to get credits: kills, plants, and round wins

first round everyone starts with like 800 points i think so its not enough to get anything fancy. thats why its called pistol round: everyone typically gets pistols.

so if you lose first round immediately the other team has more credits then you guys and they will be able to buy better stuff than you.

now if you got a couple kills or were the attacking side and managed to plant then maybe you have a bit more credits however if you use these credits to buy for round two not all of your team will be able to full buy like the other team so the other team is at an advantage there is a high chance of you losing and now you have no credits saved and you are playing at a disadvantage for round 3 again and this turns into a domino effect

the smart thing to do and what most do is play a save/eco round where they buy minimal stuff knowing they will likely lose round 2 but then they will have enough creds to full buy round 3 and be on an even playing field with the other team again

so yeah if you lose round 1 its likely for you to lose round 2 in valo :)

I made an effort to find some bisexuality in myself, passed a few quizzes, and still, my heterosexualism prevails. Though, it's harder for lesbians & bisexuals to find love </3

The world is sad. It's sad for everybody, including those patriarchal men/males themselves, right?

I'm scared of males unless they are homosexual, and I tend to catch crushes & feelings toward pedantic dandy guys.

I had a crush on Bill Kaulitz when I was a teenager. Seriously. A fan of TH. Also, on Ville Valo, though he's a bit scary.

And I was transphobic before 2021. Not an aggressive one. I just never cared about transgender people and simply avoided that topic, though I liked the "Dallas Buyers Club" movie.
