Crossovers are fun, and slug costumes are fun; why not combine them?
Here we got the gang (plus some friends!) dressed as the councilors from Hackett's Quarry from 'The Quarry'
We have; Joules as Ryan Bolts as Dylan (Belongs to @maximumangel21 ) Burpy as Jacob Pieper as Emma Bluster as Kaitlyn Luna as Abigail Bludgeon as Nick Yin as Laura Joo-Joo as Max
(I hopefully will be turning them into Gijinkas soon!)

Wanted to let Prog Rock side of tumblr know that Kevin Mulryne of the Yes Music Podcast graciously appeared on People are the Enemy, the podcast I contribute to, to talk about his new book all about the 1978 Yes album Tormato! Kevin and PatE host Andy have a great conversation about the album, the book, and the band in general that I think you will enjoy. Kevin managed to explain the birotron in a way that even I could understand, which I greatly appreciated.

If you like what Kevin has to say here, you will love the YMP every week :D

the “newest” Yes I’ve listened to is anything from 90125 but Cut From The Stars was right there when I opened Spotify and like. im excited about a new Yes album even if it doesn’t really hit the spot so I played the song and i was pleasantly surprised!! it definitely feels like something (or a lot of things) are missing but I have to admit. that wasn’t bad at all

Yes in a promotional photoshoot for Tormato (1978)
Story Time!: Apparently, Chris forgot his name-embroidered jacket so he had to wear the manager's. Later, The photo had to be edited so the jacket would say Chris instead. So what you see on the Tormato album cover is an edited version of Chris's jacket.

Slugtember Day 16: Megamorph
This drawing of a Megamorph Tormato is actually from a physical paper copy of a slug dex I was working in the past. Said slug dex was going to be written as if my OC, Quill Wright, had wrote it. I do plan to redo it sometime in the future.

Eli Headcanon - Rain
He just loves the rain and he misses it so much when he's in Slugterra.
But then, a few days after the whole Twist incident happens, Eli suddenly remembers Pronto packing an umbrella for the mission.
An umbrella? But it doesn't rain in Slugterra.
So he asks Pronto about it.
"Why do you have an umbrella?"
"Pronto always carries one in case of unexpected waterfalls and slug migrations."
"Oh... Wait, slug migrations?"
"Oh yes, Tazerlings, Aquabeaks, Flaringos, and Tormatos migrate together every few years. If there's enough of them, they make this weird puffy... cotton ball, and then water falls!! Pronto has gotten wet too many times because of them! That is why Pronto carries an umbrella."
"Rain..."
"But it's nothing compared to Downpour Cavern! Water falls from the Caverns ceiling ALL the time!! Pronto doesn't know how its residents just live there as if nothing happens!!"
"How does the rain—water fall??"
"Some is from the stalagmites, but it's mostly the annoying amount of fire and water slugs that live there! Pronto hates the humidity!"
And so Eli going to Downpour Cavern and just absolutely loving the fact that in one way or another, it rains in Slugterra...

Just thinking about if Hollywood ever decided to do a prog biopic about a band (let's use Yes as an example) it would have to be the anti-Bohemian Rhapsody. It would have to paint the band out to be much raunchier than they actually were, and include a SHITTON of side-characters from other prog bands making guest appearances.
My outline for a completely non-serious, absolutely inaccurate and insane Yes biopic would look something like this: 1. Make them all ridiculously conventionally attractive and NOTHING like the musician they're supposed to be portraying. Guess what motherfuckers? Steve is now 6'2 and more ripped than The Rock.
2. Way gayer than it actually was. Way, way gayer. Bill leaves the band after his sexual tension is resolved, and immediately joins Fripp.
3. Robert Fripp makes several guest appearances. He is played by Weird Al.
4. Ian Anderson also makes several guest appearances and is also played by Weird Al. This is never addressed.
5. Excluding Bill, whenever a band member leaves, this is not addressed. When Peter leaves, for example, the same actor puts on a wig and starts going by Steve. The movie carries on without addressing this.
6. When Rick joins Yes, he walks into Bill and Chris in their fist-fight, and immediately joins in.
7. The most inaccurate part of the movie: there needs to be a TON of women at concerts.
8. Not sure about how we'll end the movie, but I'm thinking one of three ways:
a) Jon returns to his home planet after Tormato, leaving Steve, Chris, and Alan to team up with the Buggles.
b) Film just cuts out in the middle of the story, because it was getting too long and complicated.
c) Ends in the late 80s/early 90s with ABWH and Yes-West settling their differences in a Denny's parking lot.
