My least favorite ✨torture methods✨ as a tier list, with explanations (in character)

Just a reminder that my characters should not be sexualized, and their relationship should not be romanticized. TW: Descriptions of torture/torture equipment, vivid descriptions of gore, and dehumanization. You have been warned.

Because I’m incapable of being serious about anything, here’s a tier list of shit Dani does to me!

Allow me to explain the nail thing:

The ‘Nail thing’ is a very creative device that she uses in the inner world. It has nails lined along the top and bottom of it, and a hand (specifically the left hand) is placed in between them. Then someone else pushes the device down onto the other persons hand by placing all their weight on it, so that the persons hand is punctured from both sides with a sickening crunch as the bones in said hand are crushed and mutilated. This is the worst one because of how many nerve ending are in a human hand. I guess I gotta add Jesus to my kin list or something /bible reference. But fr tho I think Dani would get fired from an acupuncture place pretty quickly.

I’m fine though! It’s fine. It’s just in the inner world and it’s really not that big of a deal anyway, there’s just screaming and pain for a while but it’s nothing I can’t handle!

I think the rest of them are pretty obvious but feel free to ask if you want ig.

so i dont know the names for all of the things i know a bunch about but we obviously know the castration device, the chappy chopper

and then there was like a massive pair of pliers that they would heat over a fire till white hot and use to met the tongue to the metal and staight up rip it outta their mouths and then ther was the hook, quite simple, theyd just jam it into the fleshy bit at the back of your neck hooking the sharp point into the base of your skull and use a system of pulleys to hang you by your neck muscle, however the torturer really could do whatever they liked so some would hang them by their eyes or noses or mouths and occasionally they would have the person being tortured turn around face the chair they were being tortured and well jam the hook into another hole

theres also some fun death meathods where like, they would put a basket around someones head, put them in a shallow pool of water and slowly fill th basket with rocks until they physically couldnt hold their head up no more and theyd drown

also random fun fact one of the ways for testing for witchcraft was pricking their skin with somethings sharp and if they didnt bleed they were a witch but the witch catchers had pricks with blades that would retract into the blade and give a mark that looks like its been burried to the hilt but really didnt even prick the skin enough to bleed

also back to torture methods, some popular among prison aurd crowd were thumb screws (much like the name implies, a screw/small drill that is screwed directly through the thumb) and teeth pulling, which i am not explaining

also some fun crimes you could be aressted for/ hung in the gallows include

being drunk on a sunday; owning a black cat; spilling another mans whiskey; nagging; causing mutiny

okay this was more of a random all over the place infodump but i do probably know more i just made this post quite long

(Side note, the iron pear is an actual old fashioned torture device! One of my favorites too! Basically they insert it into whatever kind of hole they can, asshole, vajajay, mouth, etc, and kinda… open it? Inside? Of you? Very painful, as you can imagine lol)

Hello there! I've been loving your posts, au's and art for some time now, and I hope my two nagging questions won't bother you in any way (still trying to get used to Tumblr and fight shyness!)

(warning for mention of torture methods that are graphic if researched, in case)

For the sk!au, would the boys be interested in "old" methods that are somewhat accessible (like the blood eagle), and water boarding, like if Sun somehow stumbles upon a book mentioning them?

For the raggedy!au, maybe you haven't seen the movie (or seen some books) but hopefully it's ok to ask ... Have you ever considered who's the "Babette" yet? It would be funny to see their interactions, at least in my head.

And the SK boys are very experimental with how they torture Rulebreakers. Sun has quite a morbid curiosity that he likes to explore, so a lot of the ideas come from him. If possible, they'll do it. They've taken inspiration from medieval torture, as well.

And for the raggedy one, which I'm calling the Playroom!AU, the Babette character would definitely be Roxanne, no question. The world won't be exactly like the movie (I've seen it multiple times and I love it so much) but it'll be somewhat inspired while still being its own thing.
