Ed is Billy, the dark, serious one. Charming and cheeky and smarter than you may first think. I can see Ed being the one with all the baggage between the 2 of them for this motive to happen.

Traci is Sidney because she fits WHY Neve Campbell got the role, for being brunette- THATS A JOKE (not untrue but) for being able to embody that kind insecure girl and also strong badass. I think Traci just feels really similar to Sidney's progression to being uncomfortable with herself, to being the Final Girl.

This is probably my Chalant brain but I think it works, Dick and Zatanna as Dewey and Gale. Seeing Dick in a goofy role is refreshing and Zatanna being a mega bitch is ugh so good

greg actually confirmed on askgreg that tye and asami are still good friends with virgil and ed and jaime, but he also included traci and bart!! so those two are like. part of the crew at least to an extent. they're legit friends with the whole runaways gang, asami and tye included (which makes sense for traci bc greg also recently revealed that she's been living in el paso for a few years now, aka where tye and asami live as well as jaime). so yeah canonically bart and tye DO have a friendship!

i remember catching up with those asks and giggling like a madman cause there’s nothing more validating than having a blurred line canon/headcanon being officially confirmed LOL

but i LOVE it cause tbh it just always made perfect sense ?! warning: jumbled thought ramble ahead lmfao but like the El Paso crew (especially Traci included, tbh it appears that Traci and Jaime must have met locally somehow ? maybe same school/extra-curricular thing who knows) would obviously all be good friends with each other cause Tye and Jaime have that foundation and also the convenience of living close by, then there’s the Runaways clearly being an established friend group that was/is gonna last, as well as Ed and Virgil being strongly tied to the hero circle (Ed through his dad/Star Labs and eventually the MHYC and Virgil as a hero by the end of S2), then Bart and Jaime being established good friends themselves, Bart is obviously gonna leech on to him and his social life i.e El Paso crew and then with both jaime and bart knowing Virgil from Team stuff and possibly also both being incentivised by helping meta-youth efforts themselves cause of obvious reasons they’d get along with Ed, there’s just sooooooo many social intersections it would’ve been ridiculous if the whole crew weren’t good friends with each other.
