All right, Genshin Impact people, I get it. I understand why there's a fandom. I've gotten more into the story, I've gotten to know the characters, and I've gotten rather addicted. The world's very fun to explore, and from what I can tell so far, every single character in this universe is mega neurodivergent.

But now I make a plea for help. A few weeks back, I started the Trails of Tianqiu quest, naive the horror I was about to enter and unaware that this quest locked you out of co-op until its completion. Thus, my game has been soft-locked ever since, especially since I can no longer ascend characters since I can't beat bosses solo.

The last time I was stuck on a quest I drove a few hours round-trip so my brother could beat it for me. Unfortunately that's not an option anymore as he is in rehab now, so I've gone to the internet. And so far the GI players of Discord, Reddit, and the official player forums have made it very clear that they do not like giving advice to anyone who has not very carefully studied the characters' stats to meticulously optimize their build from the very beginning.

So, I'm hoping Tumblr people will be nicer. I still have absolutely no clue how I'm ever going to finish the climbing challenge (hell, I still haven't even managed to beat that time trial near the Stormbearer Mountains where you just have to climb the spiral staircase outside of that little building - that's how bad I am at orientating myself in video games - so I may just have to wait until my brother's out of rehab for that one), but I can at least see if I can get some advice for the third floor battle with the cryo mage and slimes.

I'm world level 3, currently AR 35 (don't want to ascend until I get this quest out of the way since increasing the world level will only make it that much harder), and play on mobile (my laptop is a piece of junk when it comes to gaming).

Anyone have any advice on some sort of strategy I can use?

Is there a favorite path that Moon Carver and Sky Singer like to take through/around Jueyun Karst? Do they go up by Qingce Village? Toward Huaguang Stone Forest? Somewhere else?

So to preface; Moon Carver and Sky Singer don't live in the same place. Sky Singer is even more of a recluse than the rest of the Adepti, so he moves around every couple of years.

That doesn't mean they're not with each other almost constantly. If someone (like Aedin or Dae) is lucky enough, at around 4 am they might see Moon Carver taking Sky Singer to Qingyun Peak. That is their unofficial starting point, and their favorite trail always ends in Tianqiu Valley because Sky Singer likes the water there. Since they're Adepti they can take their time and so their walks vary in length.

The joy you feel when you are trying to do a quest for three days now, and you are missing only a bit to overcome but you can not (the quest is Trails in Tianqiu)

Why they put a challenge in which you have to defeat enemies of Cryo and Hydro in 60 seconds!?

why do so many of my friends struggle with this /lh

in all seriousness, the quest's challenges are truly intended to be challenges, especially for new players with poorly built characters (no offense). i reccommend leveling up your characters to around the same level as your enemies, as well as looking into character builds

for the cryo/hydro challenge in particular i recommend using an anemo character with good elemental mastery, but strong electro and pyro characters work too

Everyone talks about Into the Mountain as being the worst quest in Genshin but really? I was kinda annoying low AR but only for the battle section. Trails of Tianqiu was worse for the battle section.

climbing: what’s your least favorite part of genshin?

Farming. I do not particularly enjoy farming for materials, although some are better than others. I will farm flowers over scarabs any day. It’s a shore. Also, that you can’t ‘drop’ quests. Obviously not archon ones, but any other I think you should. I have SO MUCH RAGE against the Trails in Tianqiu because I couldn’t figure out how to beat it for months. Granted I don’t use co-op that often but the fact it made it impossible for MONTHS made me rage and quit for a long time. 

dodoco: have you reached level 10 friendship with any of the characters yet?

   Almost! Xiao is just slightly shy of 10, and a few others are at 7 or 8, but everyone else is still at 1 or 2. (Maybe 3 or 4 for 1 other character)  .......Listen I pretty much only use them okay

2nd floor of the trails in tianqiu quest. I fucked up the first step and I’m trying to fix it but the tutorial ain’t working and AHHHHH

finished childe's quest, levelled keqing to lvl60 and I'm almost done with the trails in tianqiu (which has be taking me AGES-)

I absolutely hate that we can't do co-op or go into the teapot until we finish certain quests. I've been struggling w the Trails in Tianqiu quest for more than a week now & i'm sick of not even being able to get help from other players
