"DEATH SHROUD" SERIES UPDATE!

Check out the AMAZING artwork tumblr artist @rad-roche did for our second installment in the Death Shroud! series. This story is titled, "The Cat's Paw", and will see an even BIGGER cast of voice actors returning to reprise their roles this May to benefit Wes Johnson's VoiceAPalooza charity drive for the Alzheimer's Association.

Please note that the voice cast list may change as more people confirm, so this is likely NOT the final art.

my worst fo4 trait is finishing the confidence man quest right when i get to diamond city on every new save and then immediately putting in console commands to make travis shy and nervous again. cant say this often but i gotta hand it to big beth for awkward travis. i love that funky little guy.

I think it would've been really cool if Travis or Magnolia had more quests associated with them. You go and fetch new music for Travis by finding still-surviving vinyls in wacky places (after delivering them he plays new songs), and you help Magnolia and her band (she has a full, fleshed-out band in this scenario) find a way to record new music. The radios and music are a pretty iconic part of modern Fallout so being able to interact with it more would've been sweet.

Fem!Sole and Deacon Best Friends Headcanons

deacon immediately hopped right on board when Sole first walked into the Railroad HQ

he’d been watching and to be honest, he just liked her

she was exactly like him in so many ways, he didn’t even know it was possible

they clicked like puzzle pieces

they do every mission together

desdemona even started telling them incorrect time frames for missions because she knows they’re going to take 3x longer from laughing the whole walk

supreme sniper rifle / shotgun duo

seriously, she will charge and shoot for the face, and the whole time sniper rounds are flying over her shoulders from the shadows

sole often knows when he’s lying and she’ll add things to it like “oh yeah I remember that, it was right before I killed elder maxson and taped him to the moon” or “yeah, I was there. you were totally hot when you were younger, by the way”

it doesn’t take very long for deacon to get strangely comfortable around her

they like to go to diamond city and walk right past people and say bizarre things with straight faces just for the stranger’s reactions

“yeah, my dads decapitation went well, he just doesn’t know what kind of head he wants yet: deathclaw or yao gui”

”no, no, no, you don’t put a leash on a feral to walk it, you have to use a muzzle! like for a bad dog! you should know this by now!”

they have taken on so many different identities for missions that they basically don’t know who they are anymore

they slowly become more and more of why the other looks forward to the day ahead

once deacon did a prank on sole to make them think he was dying, and it worked so well that sole became a gigantic mess and it really shocked him to know that she cared that much

they quote shakespeare and old literature together and suddenly everyone in the room thinks they’re distinguished and cultured but really they’d only seen it once in the library

they have a particular fondness for quoting hamlet when desdemona asks them to do something for her

they end up bonding over their dead spouses

deacon gets really antsy when sole goes anywhere without him

their sleep schedules are so messed up that they will spontaneously disappear and other people in the settlement will find them clonked out somewhere

they become two peas in a pod

the peanut butter to the others jelly

the spider to their web

and they would literally die for one another, and even though deacon is closed off when it comes to his past, sole gets to know all of it because they deserve jt

Fallout 4; Taking care of a Teen!Asian!Sole

Travis Miles

He felt like he needed to be a good influence to you, even though he's not older than you by a lot. Around you he grows a bit of a backbone. In the Doug-out he interrupts your conversation with Vadim to take away your shot and yell at him. Only to realize Vadim didn't realize you were a kid and unintentionally pressured you into having one.

In his quest he protected you during the fight and didn't want you to go to save Vadim, but he also knew he couldn't stop you. He didn't want to see you hurt due to something that was technically his fault. Actually punches Vadim before hugging him, calling him stupid for involving himself with raiders.

You would think he would be like an older brother but the role he takes in your life is akin to a father figure. Before you leave Diamond city he checks if you have the supplies to get across the Commonwealth. When you are there he takes you to get noodles, he'll listen to your adventures while eating. You are always welcomed to stay at his house if you don't want to stay at the Doug-out. He's always there to be your rock to lean on or even just to reminisce about life before the war.

Overall, Travis doesn't treat your race as anything because it is very far into the apocalypse, the concepts of race is almost nonexistent. To him you just have features he's seen from a few other people.

Nick Valentine

He remembers before the war, that includes all the Asian hate. Luckily for you, he never believed in calling random citizens 'commie bastards' in fact he's sympathetic. The only real difference in how he treats you is he'll ask about the culture because he knows a very limited amount.

Does help you with the main quest but low-key doesn't give you an option to dismiss him. He hates that a kid was put through this and is subjected to the woes of the Commonwealth. But at the same time he doesn't want to stop you. Productivity is a way of grieving, you lost both your parents, your little brother got kidnapped, and the world ended as you knew it. It wouldn't be right for him to tell you to let it go.

Actually closes the Agency for a while to travel with you. Not that he doesn't trust you, of course not, he doesn't trust everyone else. This is the Commonwealth, land of 'get mauled by a radiated bear' and home of the 'I'll kill you for a fancy-lad'. The world's not in the best place for someone who's not equipped.

Deacon

When Des recruited you he thought she was joking and was really surprised when she put you to the test with him supervising. After the mission he knew you could handle yourself but talking to you made him realize the gravity of you being a kid, and it hit him like a bus. He yelled at Des, away from everyone of course but she was less than pleased. The Railroad couldn't afford to be picky, he knew that, but using a kid who wanted to find their baby brother was a new all time low.

He jokingly asked if you were a spy before the war and immediately regretted it. The look of pure shame on your face was unforgettable to him. He apologized real fast. You forgave him but he beat himself up about it for the next week.

He didn't want to get attached to you, he didn't want you to get attached to him. But he did and you did. Not from a lack of trying. He did the whole 'you can't trust everyone' shtick but you just kinda stuck with him. To be fair, what teenager wouldn't find him cool as hell? Dude Agent 47 his way through the Commonwealth.
