Listen, I love the whole "Jon's characters are related" thing a ton. Lots of really cool opportunities for art and fics and whatnot.
But I do think it really detracts from certain things. Especially with the whole "Trevor is Richie's brother" concept for npmd.
Part of the fundamental definition of Richie's character is that he's alone. He's conversational with the main crew, but he doesn't have anyone "close" to him and has no real support system which leaves him vulnerable. Having this caring/confident/supportive older twin brother just doesn't work for his story.
This fan theory just sort of convolutes things we've been given in the actual canon and I think it can sometimes get a bit out of hand.
Don't stop with the headcanons or fics or art tho! I do indeed love Trevor and I WOULD cause a universe's heat-death to protect him. Maybe Jon's characters are related somehow in some universe. But it's just important to remember what's actually canon and written into the characters and story.

St. Hetty's Day Complaint Post 😒
Hi everyone,
So feel free to skip if you're not mentally prepared for a parade of complaints! There were several moments in "St. Hetty's Day" that I did genuinely like, but for some reason, it came across as . . . shallow? This episode was four years in the making, yet it seemed kind of generic?
My Complaints:
Feminism and autonomy have been core themes of Hetty's character arc, but her power was still used in service of a man's romantic needs. Obviously, Hetty can be an autonomous person and still date men, but it was discouraging that her actual power mainly served to cheer up a man she's known for 6 hours.
Also, the main impact of her power was cheering up Sunil, which certainly isn't a bad outcome, but TBH Sunil doesn't really have that much emotional meaning to the audience. We've seen Trevor and Thor use their powers in ways that have an ongoing impact on the success of the B & B (Trevor makes thousands of dollars online, Thor keeps Eric alive and prevents bad press), as well as Sam and Jay's well-being and the lives of the main characters. It's a bummer that Hetty's power doesn't really make a long-term impact on the success of the business or the long-term outcomes for our main characters.
While it's not wrong of Sunil to be scared of ghosts, it's hard to believe he alone has truly "seen" her when he's unwilling to accept her as a ghost. Obviously, I don't expect Sunil to view a ghost as a long-term romantic partner, but he won't even engage with her once he discovers the truth. It's hard to believe she feels most "seen" by someone who can't even accept the fundamental nature of her existence.
Also, what about Isaac? I can believe that she wants someone to discuss her own time period, but surely Isaac has already done that? Yet we're supposed to believe only Sunil, a man she's known for 6 hours, has ever truly "seen" her, which kind of undermines her closeness with Isaac, Thor, and everyone else. (These complaints aren't really about Hetty x Trevor, but Trevor has also supported her complaints about her old nemesis, such as when he reminds her of her previous scheming in "A Date to Remember").
However callous she sometimes appears, Hetty has always had a group-oriented worldview at the core of her being. For example, when Thor and Flower become stuck in Freddy's trap, she continuously reminds Sam to maintain focus on their rescue, while Isaac disrupts Sam's focus with random interludes about his own interests. (Isaac isn't doing something wrong per se, but it's clear that Hetty has made Thor and Flower's rescue "her job" in a way that Isaac hasn't.) When someone's in serious danger, Hetty has seen the collective well-being as "her job" over and over again. We also see this dynamic during the Ghost Prom, when Hetty and Trevor lead the group's apology to Sam, even though they weren't especially involved in the prank. Thus, it was a bummer that Hetty's power didn't serve the collective well-being of the group, since she cares so much about the group well-being at the core of her character. She doesn't always present as a hero, but we've seen her step in to rescue her fellow ghosts (saving Thor from Elias) or restore group harmony (ending Trevor's monopoly on the T.V.) over and over and over. I feel like she would've been more "seen" by a power and scenario that allowed her to enact this concern for the group's well-being.

Pick-A-Pairing Tarot and Oracle readings for the collective.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
From left to right we have Pairing One: Leather. Pairing Two: Starburst. Pairing Three: Cerebral.
Tumblr media
Pairing One: Leather.
You have been getting a little too big for your britches, as my grandma would say. You have been communicating and behaving in a way that has showed those around you a haughtier side of yourself than I know you'd prefer. In other words, you've been coming off as a bit of a bitch and we both know you're capable of better than that. You need to do some inner child work and tap back in to a learner's mindset. You don't have to fundamentally change who you are, just walk it back a bit. Did you ever love learning? Did you ever used to value the input of those around you? Tap back into that energy and you'll be surprised at how naturally it comes. Past You is here to support Present You. Stop trying to rush to your future self because right now you're missing the mark. Open yourself up to the lessons your friends and mentors and colleagues have for you, and embrace the youthful spirit you've been neglecting. Come home to yourself.
Tumblr media
Pairing Two: Starburst
Recently you've ended something and then immediately begun something new that, quite frankly, you are ill-equipped to handle. I'm inclined to think it's a relationship, though for some of you it's a new job, or a personal project. But y'all all got one thing in common: You are going about this all wrong. You had your head in the clouds about what was going to be required of you, and how quickly you were capable of providing it, but the reality of the situation is that you have all the wrong tools, most of the wrong perspective, and none of the energy. You aren't seeing the situation clearly, most likely because you haven't been doing the necessary work on yourself to make sure you were ready for this new journey. If it's too late now to walk it back, don't panic. Set aside some time to really refill your emotional, spiritual, and physical cups. Make your own health and well-being the priority, at least for long enough to recenter and reassess. You cannot expect a battery to work when empty, and you cannot care for others without first tending to your own needs.
Tumblr media
Pairing Three: Cerebral
Shit sucks right now. You're in a situation where you are powerless and/or unhappy, with the caveat being that there's no fucking reason you shouldn't be seeing and, more importantly, feeling progress already. You feel you've learned all you can from where you are, you've made all the moves, and all that's left is to move on. The good news is that it's only a matter of time. If you can bear down and get through time then you will be able to pursue your own idealistic future, which includes physically moving location in some way, and probably also mental health support services. Will you actually make it there is up to you, but overall this draw is giving big Trevor Project, "It gets better," vibes. It's corny but it is literally in the cards. You are moving forward. Time and space are not separate, so the longer you press on, the farther you are from where you want to leave. Things are changing. This is inevitable. If you can ride the tumultuous waters, they will eventually calm down, and you will be able to take control of your vessel in the way you know you need to. You know you are meant for different; you just need to believe it until your experienced reality is reflecting that truth back to you. Take this energetic hug from me and Spirit and know that your future is full of potential. If you need to vent you can DM me. Just keep going.

here’s the thing about amanda de santa. why would the writers of the game give her the very impactful role of being michael’s main motivation to kill trevor and get out of the business originally, if their intent was to also write her in the laziest, most sexist way possible and portray her and michael’s relationship as hopelessly dysfunctional even after they reconcile because, in her words, michael is a terrible person who will never meaningfully change but she at least wants to be the one to spend his money and eventually bury him?
because if their intent was to write her as shallow and unsupportive and showcase how fundamentally flawed hers and michael’s marriage is, then michael and trevor should just run away together at the end, right? that’s the sensible conclusion here. michael and trevor fundamentally understand each other more than michael and amanda do— michael secretly craves trevor’s chaos and lifestyle, and trevor is extremely open about how he seeks out relationships with other unstable people that are “doomed to fail”. they have genuine chemistry, work on a fairly level playing field (class antagonisms aside) and they implicitly if not explicitly condone each other’s criminal activity. so why wouldn’t they be great together? why is michael still a “family man” at the end of the day if he fucking hates his family?
because the intent was never to really explore michael’s relationship with his family. this game was made by straight men who really only meant to say things like “bitches crazy” and “no homo” and “isn’t it funny how marriage is a trap”. amanda (and by extension tracey (jimmy is exempt from this because he gets actual character exploration and heartfelt interactions with michael, i wonder why that is)) represents a glaringly lazy aspect of the game’s writing which in almost every other way is engaging, competent, and filled with a surprising amount of depth and nuance for a game made in 2013. amanda is a joke, a half-assed misogynistic trope, a pawn who you aren’t supposed to care about beyond the aesthetic property of being michael’s wife, even though michael is supposed to have cared so much about her and the kids that he faked his own death.

Here’s a little thought; Mickey is an asshole. He’s an asshole that doesn’t deny he’s an asshole. But he’s also a good person underneath all that roughness that cares very deeply about the people he loves especially Ian.
Now, let’s juxtapose that with Caleb and Trevor. Caleb and Trevor seem like this really great stand up guys, right? But underneath that, they’re assholes. They’re assholes that will deny with their dying breath that they’re assholes. And Ian is an asshole right back at them causing this weird thing where we look at it on the outside and think the relationships had with them were healthy. I literally had someone say that outside of V and Kev Ian with Trevor was the healthiest relationship in the show. But that’s not true when you really look at it. They were casually judgmental of Ian and his feelings. Caleb dismissed him when Ian expressed hurt over being cheated on. Trevor was just so casually cruel where Monica was concerned. And, at the end of the day, Ian used the both of them to fulfill and distract himself from the hurt that was going through him. Making the relationships he had with the both of them bad from the start.
With all of the problems that he faces with Mickey to which there are a lot; they work. They work because they’re a unit. They work because they are each other’s best friend. They work because they are each other’s number one priority. They work because they were two kids who came from fundamentally broken homes that learned to love and be loved.

[OP plain text: Bad update on KOSA \End PT]
[Image description: Discord screenshot of messages from user SweetHeart3401 that say: Hello everyone, A very unfortunate update. To summarize, the new language is out. You can read about EFF's breakdown of it here: https://www.eff.org/deeplinks/2024/02/dont-fall-latest-changes-dangerous-kids-online-safety-act
Nothing fundamentally has changed about how bad this bill is. There is still age verification, mass censorship and surveillance. It is MAYBE 5% not as bad, but still awful.
Unfortunately, because the new language says AGs can't enforce under the ‘duty of care’ provision (they can still under other provisions, lets be honest here) it was seen as a “massive win" by LGBT orgs and so many, including
GLAAD, HRC, and the Trevor Project dropped their opposition. Also for some reason more orgs are supporting it, like Nintendo. It also has 62 senate sponsors, including Chuck Schumer :( It is filibuster proof and now will most likely pass the Senate.
This is a terrible, really big deal. We are going to refocus our efforts on stopping it in the House. More to come soon.
TLDR: New text of KOSA led to propoganda that it's good for LGBT, letting several big orgs drop it and giving many Senators including Schumer justification for supporting it. Will now pass the Senate most likely, unknown when. Efforts to stop will be focused on the House. \End description]

Does your character have siblings or family members in their age group? Which one are they closest with?
He does not. His one and only brother is 17 years older than him and yes, both are very close.
What is/was your character’s relationship with their mother like?
She died when he was a toddler. He doesn’t even remember her.
What is/was your character’s relationship with their father like?
Same as with his mother. He died when he was a toddler and doesn’t remember him.
Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know?
Was beaten and assaulted by a group and in that same month he and his brother tried to fight off a deathclaw and in the fight he thought Loke died.
These two events are something he doesn’t like talking about so the only people that know are Angelus, Loke and Uthorim.
Varg, Trevor and Radek have suspicions about what happened to him but none of them are ever gonna pry.
On an average day, what can be found in your character’s pockets?
Bullets, gumdrops and caps though he keeps the amount of caps he carries with him limited. He keeps the rest somewhere else.
Does your character have recurring themes in their dreams?
Ever since his traumatic events he doesn’t dream. However, from the age of 20 onwards his dreams slowly started to come back though they were just nonsense.
Does your character have recurring themes in their nightmares?
From the age of 17 he only had nightmares. They were graphic depictions of the assault and/or of Loke’s “death”. Rarely were they just violent and even rarer were they just nonsense that disturbed him. Because of this he’d get high off Calmex and would get blackout drunk to avoid having any sort of nightmare. He did this almost every night as the nightmares would trigger him severely.
Has your character ever fired a gun? If so, what was their first target?
He’s been handling, firing and training with firearms since he was 5-years-old. His first target was a raider that his brother was hired to kill. He was 11-years-old.
Is your character’s current socioeconomic status different than it was when they were growing up?
It feels sort of the same. Since their parents died Loke stepped up to take care of himself and his baby brother. Even though he greatly regrets it, Loke had joined a group of mercenaries and did a lot of morally questionable kills but it was what he had to do to take care of himself and his brother. The caps were good. Then when they moved to New Vegas the caps still flowed as he and his brother pretty much had a reputation of being effective mercenaries.
Then in Boston Jelani kept up the same type of work. Yes, there were Gunners but not many people trusted them or even had the means to reach them as they were almost always hostile. He’s effective, doesn’t ask questions and works quickly, discretely and quietly. The cap flow was just about the same.
Does your character feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?
More clothing. The more covered up he is the more comfortable he feels. You’re never going to see him in shorts or without long sleeved shirts, hoodies or jackets. This is for several reasons. Ever since he was assaulted he just felt a lot more comfortable being covered up and this includes during sex, he’s never gonna go fully nude. He’s tried to, it didn’t end well. His arms are also covered in self-inflicted scars, including the scars on his wrists from his last suicide attempt.
In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been?
The assault and Loke’s “death”.
In what situation was your character the most calm they’ve ever been?
On his way to Jamaica Plains to carry out a job he bumped into Angelus. The raider accompanied him to said job to assist in any way he could. Since Jelani arrived much earlier than his target he and Angelus spent some time talking and for the first time in a year Jelani actually laughed. He felt calm enough to lower his guard at that moment.
Is your character bothered by the sight of blood? If so, in what way?
Nope, he is not.
Does your character remember names or faces easier?
Both. He has a very good memory.
Is your character preoccupied with money or material possession? Why or why not?
I’d say material but specifically about firearms. Don’t think too much about it, he just likes guns. A lot.
Which does your character idealize most: happiness or success?
Happiness. He’d give anything to go back to what he was like before the age of 17. As the years go by he gets less intense though his trauma will always be with him. He’ll always be ruled by his depression, his sadness and his rage. Happiness is a fleeting emotion that doesn’t last as long as he wished it would.
What was your character’s favorite toy as a child?
A teddy bear Loke got for him when he was 4-years-old. He still has it, it has actually been accessorized with a bandana around its neck and has a few patches but those were done by Uthorim when he fixed wear and tear.
Is your character more likely to admire wisdom or ambition in others?
The older he gets the more he leans towards wisdom.
What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before?
He has trust issues which has been the catalyst for breaking and ruining friendships. As time went on and his anger manifested it also made it that much harder for him to form any new friendships.
In what ways does your character compare themselves to others? Do they do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?
He compares himself in terms of how someone else is “normal” compared to him. How other people manage to overcome their traumas and yet years later he’s still drowning in it and doesn’t believe he’ll ever get over any of it. It’s absolutely 100% self-criticism.
If something tragic or negative happens to your character, do they believe they may have caused or deserved it, or are they quick to blame others?
He’s quick to blame himself and strongly believes everything bad that happens to him is his own fault and that he deserved it.
What does your character like in other people?
That’s hard to answer but he does appreciate it when people respect boundaries.
What does your character dislike in other people?
Most things nowadays but especially when people he doesn’t know touch him. Doesn’t matter how friendly they are or if they have good intentions, he does NOT like it when strangers touch him.
How quick is your character to trust someone else?
Not at all. He has trust issues.
How quick is your character to suspect someone else? Does this change if they are close with that person?
He doesn’t trust anyone. At all. He’s quickly suspicious of anyone hanging around him. It takes a very, very long time for him to trust someone. The only people he trusts are Loke, Uthorim, Angelus and Varg.
How does your character behave around children?
He’s neutral about kids. He’s not mean to them at all and will talk to them if they talk to him but he’s not one to play with ‘em. He’s too reserved for that.
How does your character normally deal with confrontation?
He used to avoid it but as time goes on he tends to react violently towards any kind of confrontation.
How quick or slow is your character to resort to physical violence in a confrontation?
Instantly.
What did your character dream of being or doing as a child? Did that dream come true?
He wanted to be just like his brother which he did turn out to be like him. Made the most sense since he was trained to be efficient with firearms.
What does your character find repulsive or disgusting?
Whiskey. It triggers some horrific memories.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most comfortable.
Quiet and near Loke, Angelus and Uthorim. The quietness and stillness of the night brings him a lot of peace. He has sleeping problems so he likes just sitting near the river and listening to the river sway in the wind.
Describe a scenario in which your character feels most uncomfortable.
He does not do well in crowds. It makes him panic.
In the face of criticism, is your character defensive, self-deprecating, or willing to improve?
Self-deprecating.
Is your character more likely to keep trying a solution/method that didn’t work the first time, or immediately move on to a different solution/method?
Moves to a different solution/method. He may be traumatized but he hasn’t forgotten his training.
How does your character behave around people they like?
Relaxed. He moves around a little more loosely and even appears more at peace. Not so vigilant or as timid.
How does your character behave around people they dislike?
He’s very vigilant, anxious and very moody.
Is your character more concerned with defending their honor, or protecting their status?
Neither. He’s concerned with his safety.
Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?
He’ll remove the problem/threat without thinking too much about it.
Has your character ever been bitten by an animal? How were they affected (or unaffected)?
He’s been bit by attack dogs before. Didn’t actually affect him honestly. He’s not too worried about animals, he’s more worried about people.
How does your character treat people in service jobs?
Like anyone else that isn’t a threat to him. Just ‘cause he’s dealing with some shit doesn’t mean he’s gonna treat people that don’t deserve it like shit.
Does your character feel that they deserve to have what they want, whether it be material or abstract, or do they feel they must earn it first?
Hard to say really. He seriously believes he doesn’t deserve anything good so he has to work extra hard for it regardless of what it is.
Has your character ever had a parental figure who was not related to them?
Yeah, Uthorim fits this role. As the years passed and he got much older their relationship shifted.
Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them?
Noooo. He absolutely does not want that for a million reasons.
How easy or difficult is it for your character to say “I love you?” Can they say it without meaning it?
It’s a little harder nowadays but when he says it he really means it. No, he’s not one to just say it without meaning it, he just doesn’t have it in him.
What does your character believe will happen to them after they die? Does this belief scare them?
He doesn’t really think about that because part of him doesn’t actually believe there’s anything, he doesn’t think people just blink out of existence but he’s far too jaded to believe there might be anything good in the afterlife. It’s complicated.

Navigating the complexities of mental health is challenging for everyone, but for LGBTQ individuals, societal pressures, discrimination, and internal struggles can intensify the journey. Imagine a queer person standing alone in a crowded room, feeling unseen and unheard, grappling with the weight of their identity and the expectations placed upon them. This scenario—unfortunately too common—highlights the urgent need for resilience in mental health within the LGBTQ community. Understanding the myriad of factors affecting mental health is the first step toward promoting resilience. This article delves into practical strategies to bolster mental well-being, ensuring that individuals within the LGBTQ community have the tools they need to face both everyday challenges and significant adversities. Understanding the Core Issue Before diving into strategies, it's vital to grasp the unique nuances of LGBTQ mental health. Here’s a breakdown: Higher Rates of Mental Health Issues: Studies have shown that LGBTQ individuals face higher incidences of depression, anxiety disorders, and suicidal ideation compared to their heterosexual counterparts. Impact of Discrimination: Experiences of discrimination and stigma can have profound effects on mental health, leading to feelings of isolation and low self-worth. Intersectionality Matters: The mental health struggles of LGBTQ individuals vary significantly based on intersecting identities, including race, gender identity, and socioeconomic status. Social Support is Crucial: Research indicates that supportive friends and family can drastically improve mental health outcomes for LGBTQ individuals. A 2022 study revealed that nearly 40% of LGBTQ individuals reported mental health issues, compared to about 18% of the general population. These statistics underscore the pressing need for targeted mental health strategies. Practical Tips and Strategies To build resilience amid these challenges, here are five actionable strategies LGBTQ individuals can implement: 1. Develop a Support Network Building a community of supportive friends, family, and allies is fundamental. Here’s how to start: Seek LGBTQ Groups: Joining local or online LGBTQ organizations can provide a sense of belonging and shared experiences. For instance, organizations like The Trevor Project offer resources and community support for youth. Create Safe Spaces: Surround yourself with people who affirm your identity and experiences. This can be friends who share similar backgrounds or mentors who can guide you. Example: Alex, a transgender man in his late twenties, faced significant isolation after coming out. By connecting with a support group online, he found others experiencing similar struggles, which drastically improved his mental health. 2. Practice Self-Care Self-care is not just a buzzword; it’s an essential practice for maintaining mental health. Implement self-care strategies that resonate with you: Mindfulness and Meditation: Engaging in mindfulness can lower stress and enhance emotional regulation. Physical Activity: Regular exercise can improve mood and reduce anxiety. Consider yoga, running, or dancing as ways to express yourself. Example: Jamie, a non-binary individual, found solace in five minutes of daily meditation. Over a few weeks, they noticed a marked decrease in anxiety levels, demonstrating how small practices can yield significant rewards. 3. Seek Professional Help Professional counseling can provide valuable insights and coping strategies tailored to the LGBTQ experience: Find LGBTQ-Competent Counselors: Look for therapists who specialize in LGBTQ issues. Websites like Psychology Today allow filtering by specialties and sexual orientation expertise. Consider Group Therapy: Group therapy can provide a safe environment to share experiences and learn from others facing similar challenges. Example: Morgan, a bisexual woman, initially hesitated to seek therapy due to fears of misunderstanding. Upon finding a therapist
specializing in LGBTQ issues, she felt validated and began to unravel longstanding emotional burdens. 4. Educate Yourself Knowledge is power, especially regarding mental health and identity. Obtain information that can help contextualize your experiences and promote healing: Read Books and Articles: Understand psychological theories or personal narratives on LGBTQ mental health. Engage in Workshops: Attend workshops or seminars that focus on mental health, resilience, and recovery tailored for LGBTQ individuals. Example: Sam discovered a podcast dedicated to LGBT mental health narratives, which helped him understand his experiences better and feel less isolated. 5. Advocate and Empower Taking part in advocacy not only benefits the community but also fosters personal growth: Engage in Local Activism: Participate in or volunteer for local LGBTQ rights organizations. Share Your Story: Writing or speaking about your experiences can empower both yourself and others, creating a ripple effect of resilience. Example: After joining an LGBTQ advocacy group, Rachel started sharing her journey through social media platforms. This not only connected her with allies but also inspired others to voice their own challenges and triumphs. Overcoming Challenges Resilience doesn’t come without its hurdles. Here are some common challenges and strategies to overcome them: Challenge: Internalized Homophobia or Transphobia For many LGBTQ individuals, societal stigma can lead to internalized negative beliefs about oneself. Solution: Engage with affirming therapists and support groups that focus on unpacking these feelings, promoting self-acceptance and love. Challenge: Social Isolation Feeling disconnected from peers can amplify depression and anxiety. Solution: Actively seek out events, meetups, or online gatherings where you can connect with the LGBTQ community. Using platforms like Meetup can help find local events. Challenge: Financial Constraints Accessing therapy or self-care resources can be a challenge for many due to financial limitations. Solution: Look into community health resources that offer sliding scale fees, or find support groups that provide services at low or no cost. The availability of telehealth options has also expanded access to care. Conclusion Establishing resilience in the face of mental health challenges within the LGBTQ community is vital. By fostering supportive networks, prioritizing self-care, seeking professional help, educating oneself, and engaging in advocacy, individuals can build a strong foundation of resilience. The journey is ongoing and can feel daunting, but taking this first step—whether it’s reaching out, practicing mindfulness, or engaging with a supportive community—can lead to profound transformation. Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection. Embrace the journey, for each small step contributes to a brighter, more empowered future. It is in this shared experience that we, as a community, can thrive together. When you face challenges, reflect on the tools and communities that uplift you; the path to resilience is built on connection and courage.

[ad_1] Saumik Dey with Trevor Morgan in East Bengal (PC: Trevor Morgan Facebook) “I still remember the day Morgan (Trevor) sir came to the club for the first time,” expressed Saumik Dey, former East Bengal captain, his voice laced with gratitude. “Tall, sharp, in a suit – a gentleman. He had some charisma.” Dey, who captained East Bengal in 2010 and played close to 300 matches for the club as a left-back, delved nostalgically into the glory days under their favourite “Morgan sir. In a candid conversation, Dey shared memories of the club’s resurgence under Morgan and the remarkable unity he instilled in the team. The conversation also aimed to shed light on what has been going wrong for the current East Bengal squad. Dey, an integral part of the club’s golden era, winning multiple trophies like the Fed Cup, Durand Cup, Shield, and numerous Calcutta League titles, recalled the transformative days when Morgan took charge of the Red and Golds. The team was going through a rough patch, morale was low, and motivation was scarce. “‘Who is the captain?’ – he asked on the first morning in training, and I stepped forward,” said Dey. When he explained the squad’s state, Morgan’s words were simple yet powerful: “‘You take care of the dressing room; I’ll look after everything else. Of course, I’ll be there with you.’” Dey was immediately inspired and felt a renewed sense of purpose with Morgan’s leadership from that first day. According to Dey, Morgan fundamentally changed the team’s decorum for the better. Strict standards of punctuality and discipline were put into place, yet there was always an undercurrent of joy and camaraderie. No one felt fear – instead, they felt encouraged to strive for their best. “He is the best foreign coach I’ve worked with,” said Dey, brimming with respect for the British coach’s approach. Dey also recalled the unique financial sanctions Morgan implemented to reinforce discipline. “One thousand rupees for being late to training, five thousand for an unnecessary yellow card in a match, and ten thousand for a red.” As Dey shared this, a wistful smile crossed his face. “There’s more to it!” he added, knowing the writer’s curiosity had been piqued. For the Latest Sports News: Click Here “If it was an 8 a.m. training slot, the reporting time was 7:30,” Dey explained. “He used to wait inside the dressing room before 7:30 and monitor who was entering the ground at what time.” Practice sessions under Morgan were intense and competitive, so much so that occasional tussles broke out among teammates. “There were even separate sanctions for players involved in those,” he added, laughing at the memory. Of course, the obvious question arose: how much money was collected, and what happened to it? Dey chuckled. “We used to collect an average of Rs. 50,000 every two months.” And the best part? “Morgan sir would take us out for lunch with that money, and those were the best days.” Dey elaborated on how these team lunches fostered unity and strengthened their chemistry. “We had so many such lunches, and our bond became stronger than ever. You could see the result – we became a dominant side again.” Under Morgan’s guidance, East Bengal lifted trophies like the IFA Shield, Durand Cup, and Fed Cup. Although they finished second in the I-League on two occasions, Morgan led the team to its best-ever performance in the AFC Cup, reaching the semifinals in 2013, only to fall to the formidable Kuwait FC on aggregate. “He was like a father-figure to us,” Dey said, his tone affectionate. “I do miss him.” Reflecting on the club’s current struggles, Dey sighed. “It’s tough to see my beloved club going through these hard times. I hope they find their chemistry again and bring back the glorious days.” With that heartfelt wish, Dey signed off; his words a poignant reminder of the Red and Golds’ cherished past under the legendary Trevor Morgan. It's really amazing how the government of Palestine, which controls Palestinian media and a great portion of the narrative, is somehow "unheard" in these people's minds.
Oh, wait, Hamas' narrative is that they're the helpless underdogs.
>Most thefts were also done by young anarchist-wannabes and bougie kids looking for an excuse to go on a free shopping spree at their favorite bougie apparel store.
>MLK and true BLM protestors
Ah, yes, the "those weren't real BLMers!" argument.
Which would work better if BLM didn't go out of its way to pay bail for rioters, sometimes actively endorse them (EG Trevor Noah), and consistently refuse to admit it's been wrong about anything, ever.
Heck, BLM repeatedly portrayed the Ferguson riot police as overreacting, even though they didn't deploy until after the rioting had started. If you listen to the narrative, the cops broke out the padding and shields out of nothing but racist paranoia.
Just look at how many BLMers openly endorsed angry mobs trying to destroy statues (and buildings), and refused to admit any of those mobs could be wrong, even hypothetically. Even though they often went after statues of slavery abolitionists, and at least one to a black Union unit.
Tumblr media
And the Lincoln memorial.
>The #1 Moral Argument made by we BLM supporters against conservatives who complained about "destruction of property" at the time was: "The worst of us destroy property, while the worst of you KILL PEOPLE."
Seems like a bizarre argument to make, when many critics of BLM also complained that the riots were hurting and even killing black people. Like David Dorn, innocent security guard. 77-year old retired police captain.
Tumblr media
Also, when there was that antifa member in Portland who murdered a conservative in cold blood.
Not to mention antifa itself, which rocked up to BLMs protests to do things like throw molotovs at cops. Which is deadly force. The left has frequently endorsed antifa.
Plus, various BLM-linked deadly terrorist attacks on cops, long before 2020.
In fact, the first one was in 2014, the year BLM started.
Another was Korryn Gaines. Cops showed up at her door to serve a warrant for a traffic violation. She points a shotgun at them and uses her 5-year old son as a human shield. She eventually gets shot dead, the son gets wounded, and BLM still says the cops were wrong.
I saw one now-banned alleged agitprop account arguing that it was physically impossible for her to hold up a long gun with one hand. It weighed less than the kid.
BLM cared more about the cops cutting off her Facebook videos during the standoff than how she put her own kid in the line of fire. Many I chatted with were in straight up denial.
>The argument that I and many other young lefties made at rich white conservative Trump supporting dinner parties and Christmas gathers made over and over again was: "Most of those shops were insured; smashed windows can be replaced; graffiti can be scrubbed off; stores can be restocked. But human lives can't be replaced. And what we're protesting is cops killing people for minor to nonexistent crimes."
Why are you leaving the "alleged racism" part out of it? Which BLM has never actually proved, IMO?
BLM has also, repeatedly, been wrong about these situations. After the 2020 riots, a black girl got shot by a cop in the middle of stabbing someone else, on video, and BLM still painted her as the innocent victim.
It's really ironic that FLJ quotes MLK on "collection of the facts", but still assumes BLM is fundamentally right by default, when it consistently assumes racism with no actual evidence.
And is also looking at the time period when BLM got the most attention and the most tension it's ever had, and assumed that "real BLM"ers couldn't hoist the black flag, so to speak.
No pun intended.
Disavowing and othering rioters four years after the fact seems a tad...limp. Especially when you refuse to admit BLM has any responsibility for the situation in the first place, and also try to downplay the destructive effects of riots.
Heck, I'm not even sure FLJ even knows people were murdered in BLM related incidents at all.
And if they were condemning the bad actors back in 2020, people like them were clearly in the overwhelming minority.
i believe that the jewish people have a right to self determination in their ancestral homeland, also known as israel.

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF CARING
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
feel good, comedy movie I will say, Coming of age but for everyone.
story is about a man Ben, losing his kid and retiring his career. Pursuing a job as a caretaker, he meets Trevor, a kid with DMD, and they go on a road trip and other life feelings.
tbh this movie made me happy because their is so much to the world and how it was made as pity taking but simply a road trip adventure type.
I loved this movie till the very end from the starting scene to end.

Adrain(Alucard) x Black!Reader Updated
Notes: Omg so I rewrote this because i read this back when i started reaching season two and I realized how much better i could write this! In all honesty, ill rewrite all of them because i wrote this while i was very embarrassed and didn’t reread it after i was done writing but still wanted recognition for my work. So I’m gonna do it better this time! Still embarrassed but i wanna own this! I took a very long time to start season 2 cause i did not hear good things about it. I just want Adrain to be happy 😭 Also to clarify for new people. My work is catered to Black readers. The MC is a named persona of mine! She is a black person and also a Saytr. Happy self inserting!
Adrian takes these long naps every few months. They last at least a week or so. Before he was taking the naps, you forced him to get rest as he was stubborn and wanted to help you clean the mansion and the Belmont library. He’d been through a lot, especially so quickly after being woken up so you convinced him to get rest and reminded him you could could take care of yourself.
You’re half sheep after all. Even with the advantage of the body of your species you put a lot of work into building up your muscles especially your legs you took pride in them! As adorable as you looked, your body is pretty hardie. Plus you didn’t mind working on your own. Adrian was only sleep, it wasn’t like he’d gone traveling with Trevor and Sypha.
At the moment, Adrian was sleep. You could wonder about the castle unguarded so to speak. (Not so unguarded that someone with ill will could sneak in the mansion.) You were doing work around the mansion with nothing but underwear and a light blouse on. You had active distane against wearing trousers, skirts felt better you don’t think you’ve even had the displeasure of wearing pants before. If you had it your way, you’d wear just your undergarments everywhere. This was ironic considering how shy you could be about your body, but things would be a lot earlier if the rest of the world had the same mentality about clothes as your species. You feel less restricted and free to move around. It was a lot easier to sense the world around you when the air was allowed to sway against the tiny hairs all over your body. Even so, you hadn’t wanted to er...make Adrian uncomfortable.
In a perfect world you wouldn’t care about people seeing your body but… It wasn’t that you didn’t like how you looked actually quite the contrary. The tribe you traveled was pretty spitual and one of the practices was being in tune with oneself. That meant loving or at the very least being neutral about ones body to connect to the mind and eventually the soul. You had an earthy dark brown skin and black curly fur with sheep ears the wiggled about on the sides of your head and a fluffy black tail. The fur on your legs stopped at your mid thighs. The shape of your legs resembled that of the hind legs of a sheep. You didn’t tell Adrian but sometimes you wore rubber covers on your hooves. You uh, tend to slip a lot on the marble floors of the mansion. You had wide plush hips with a ton of muscle hidden under your fat that you were quite pride of. You maintained your muscle ever since you decided to stay with Adrian. You enjoyed keeping yourself sharp. Your chest was more narrower than your lower half. You though the shape for you body was a perfect balance for combat.
Even with your mentality about yourself, it just felt embarrassing for others to look at your body. It was worse still when the person looking was not a Saytr. You spent most of your time with your tribe and Saytrs came in all shapes and sizes but… you all were also a lot less judgmental than humans and honestly other species of beings too. The fundamental difference in anatomy made it more embarrassing.
Currently you thought he’d be sleeping for longer. It’d only been 4 days...until he found you...
You were working on your hands and knees at one of the many the bottom shelf’s , organizing in a library in the mansion. You were referencing a paper for documentation as you put books away. It was nice in here. There was fluffy carpet and it was clean of dangerous pointy debris. It smells like dust and paper. The sun was setting and a soft orange light washed across the floor of the room. It wasn’t terribly stuffy since the ceilings were pretty high. It was so peaceful it almost felt like time had enough mercy to stop here. You were proud of how much progress you’d gotten through. You planed on making peach and strawberry tea for yourself and taking a break after this row. Now, let’s see...authors last name and-
“Oh, I hadn’t realized how large your...”
Your heart immediately jumped out of my chest at the disembodied voice! Your face heated with a vengeance, you couldn’t even make a sound. You jolted and spun around to face him sitting on your butt, and closed you’re legs. There Adrian was, leaning on the door frame looking down at you. His face looked amused but he was trying to look quizzical.
“A-Adrian!! D-Don’t say that looking at my-!”
“Tail was.”
As he finished his sentence, it stopped you in your tracks. You make a face and pout, embarrassed. He simply smiled and stood up straight with a mock raised brow.
“Hmm? What did you think I was going to say?”
You scooted back and blurted.
“Nothing!”
He took a step closer to you, enough to tease.
“Hmm no, I’d like to know what you think of me.”
You exclaimed, quite expertly dodging the question if you do say so yourself.
“What! are you doing up so early??”
“Well, I thought it be a nice surprise for you if I had gotten up early. So you wouldn’t be by yourself for another entire week. I’ve been keeping up with my naps so I’ve been able to cut down on the time I have to sleep.”
Your already racing heart skipped a beat when you saw his eyes drift downwards. He made sure you could see him looking at your body.
“I suppose...I should have warned you instead? But ah, I thought it could be a pleasant surprise.”
His eye looked quickly back to your own eyes
“That’s my fault! It’s fine I uh...”
You tried your best to attempt to calm yourself and muster the courage to voice what you wanted... what you thought of...
Seeing your struggle to say anything he continued to offer you a solution instead of asking you what you thought of the current situation.
“If you’d like, you don’t have to wait until I’m sleeping to be comfortable. I’ll just make sure to let you know what room-“
You blurted
“If! if it’s alright with you… I, uh...”
Your blush was angry enough at this point that it was starting to prickle your nose. Argh! C’mon, just say it!
He sweetly waited a bit for you to finish. Looking at your face he offered.
“Unless, that’s too much? You can dress fully when I’m awake but... It’d be nice for you to be comfortable here…”
Around me.’
Is what he didn’t say for some reason. Adrain couldn’t not pin point why he didn’t say that. Usually he was very forthcoming with Amora, but right now he was trying to gauge and be patient with her. It wasn’t hard to be patient with her but he wanted to make it a bit easier on her by leaning towards ‘yes’ or ‘no’ responses from her. Learning about her from previous conversation with her that seemed to be easier on her overstimulated mind. Adrain didn’t want to push her too far at the moment but she seemed to be enjoying herself. For now, he would be easy on her.
You looked down at you thighs fiddling with a dreadlock in your nerves. The way he spoke, sort of whispery, it sounded a bit more husky. He must’ve been excited to surprise you and came to find you as soon as he had woken up. The sound living beings made. Their presence. It all had a distinct feel to them. Adrian’s made her feel shy a lot of the time.
“N-no I jus... if it doesn’t bother you, than it’s fine... f-for you too see me, like this ...if-if you...want... We don’t have to be…separated when I’m…like this”
You peeked up at him underneath you’re dark eyelashes. Your heart pounded and throbbed in you chest. He looked like he confirmed something, likely your response had put him at ease to tease you.
He put his hand to his chin and walked towards you. Your eyes kept darting back and forth from him to the doorframe he appeared in. You were unable to keep eye contact with his golden eyes. When he reached you, he crouched down to your level then crept close to your ear.
“Are you sure? I am still a vampire you know.”
He has know how you feel about his voice. Speaking so close to your sensitive ears like this was maddening. All your hard work to previously respond had been dashed. He was crouched so close to you. You were suddenly very aware of your lack of bottoms. How his own beige top was untied at the top having just come to you from sleeping. You could see his soft pale skin. You couldn’t speak again. This heated intimacy felt like it was burning you up. You were so glad he asked a ‘yes’ or ‘no’ question. You couldn’t hope to muster up any noise. You could only nod your head vigorously.
His laugh reverberated was deep in your ears. You didn’t have time to physically stop the shiver that ran through your body. Your toes and fingertips were buzzy with energy. You felt near mortified that he totally felt you shiver against him. Adrian said.
“Very well.”
As he agonizingly, slowly freed you from his mental hold, he mercifully let up his aura and walked back to leave the room. But not before giving you a last look that passed over your thighs and waist as he left out of sight.
Suddenly you realized it was dark now. You flopped down on the floor with a book clutched in hand your hands that you forgot you were holding. Now you were glad you were holding it as you had an outlet to hold on with all of the energy that had built up in your body. You flipped on your tummy and curled up on the soft carpet, quietly screaming into the book. You were bursting with feelings that were too big to keep in your chest.
