I couldn't think of any exciting opinions BUT having lots of "what if" stories/Aus for characters can be lots of fun!

Aus are my lifeblood!!!!!! VERY STRONGLY AGREE!

I always get so confused by people who feel like everyone has to stick to canon story, and in turn I see people afraid or nervous about tweaking things or setting up multiple alternate options for characters. Don't be afraid, make that au!!! Throw canon out the window!!! There are people who will get mad, but they're not worth the time of day if they're costing you your enjoyment of content.

I'm not sure why but in my head Kerra sounds a bit like Blue Diamond? Fairly gentle sounding and a little wary BUT also able to be powerful and threatening sounding, and also probably sounds more self-assured due to her role as commander!

You know, I don't think this is a voice claim I would have come up with on my own at all, but I quite like it! :D She doesn't exactly sound like that, but close in a lot of ways, and your description is pretty darn spot-on! It's also making me imagine how she would have been quieter in some ways when she was a sapling rather than how she is now, and it's making my heart hurt a little ;-;

It’s been a long day.

Every day has been long, lately. They’re all just blending together, a never ending stream of things to do and people to save, enemies to fight and plans to make.

So when they get a brief moment alone, Braham doesn’t hesitate - just steps up behind Terra and wraps his arms around her waist, squeezing gently, letting his head bend to press his face into the petals of her hair.

She sighs and sinks back into him, her arms coming up to cross over his, and he inhales her scent greedily - enjoying the moment of peace while it lasts.

It’s never long. There’s too much to do - to many people relying on them both.

But for just one moment, it’s just the two of them.

👗 - Kyveli absolutely loves Kyrtan fashion. She adores the pretty lace and details, if someone buys her a pretty dress she will grant them a wish in an instant. (Bonus: Suibhne refuses to wear anything he can’t show off his arms in.)

⛄ - Ylva and Romeo always go for a hunt in the Shiverpeaks during the first days of fall. It helps them unwind from the stresses of leading Orr, and gives them time to bond. They will drag Tristan along.

🧦 - Vie and Canach usually sleep in for hours, so their days don’t start until around noon. Little Liadan shares his awful sleep schedule, but there are many mornings she’s woken up early and just gone and wedged herself to cuddle with them until they wake up.

💡 - How does your OC enact plans? Do they plan down to the smallest details, or do they wing it?

Roza is a perfectionist above all, so he plans things down to every minute detail. He’s also a bit of a control freak due to past issues of not being in control of the consequences of his actions, and he can get irrationally angry when someone messes something up that he thinks otherwise would have gone perfectly, usually to the point of insulting their intelligence (big fallback for him). In recent years he’s trying to be more aware of the defensive reaction and tone it down, but he still gets annoyed lmao

🌅 - What is your OCs favourite time of day? Are they a morning person or a night owl?

Despite being Cycle of Dawn (surprising everyone, including himself), he’s definitely a night person. His magic thrives in the night, as does other people’s fear and he feels a lot more powerful and in tune with the world. He hates getting up early on a leisure day, especially if it’s because of someone else. He’s an absolutely terrible roommate; that hasn’t changed since Vigil days :p

📎 - How organised is your OC? Do they keep on top of responsibilities, or leave things to the last minute?

He has a fairly good sense of organization, but tends to prioritize things out of order. Absolute life or death things come first, followed by his interests and experiments (again an effect of him not having control over his schedule for a significant portion of his saplinghood). The one thing unselfish thing he’ll prioritize is gifts for friends, especially a certain leafy someone’s birthday.

T: When El doesn’t like something, he’s gonna proclaim it, you’ll know. He used to be more.. spoiled, let’s say, about such things and even now prefers a more moderate climate with rain, but if he has to choose between hot or cold weather, hot all the way. cold is too wet for him, thank you very much. He gets really cranky and annoyed and you cannot talk to him for like anything until he dries up, unless you wanna get shouted at.

P: Now, when it comes to respect, he’s used to receiving it both due to his status as a Secondborn and as an Arcanist (later Archon) of the Priory. As such, he’s selective who he shows respect to. If he respects you, he will smile genuinely, you’ll have his whole attention and he won’t interrupt you, make no snide remarks, etc. Likewise, his table manners will depend on whether he respects you or not. Do not expect a human noble to get the whole prim and proper table manner behaviour, for example, but a Firstborn? Ya bet he’ll be a nice good boy then lol 

H: Hair, or rather, leaves on his head, is very important to him. He was lost in Maguuma for most of the Mordremoth campaign and one of the ways he tried keeping his sanity there was by taking care of his hair, even when he was hurt, even when Mordy screamed in his head. So now, when he’s upset, you’ll see him fiddling and playing with hair, grabbing it to ground himself. He doesn’t use it to flirt because it’s a private thing just for him and has lost all flirty connotations it may have had.

Nyra

T: As with most things, Nyra’s response to temperature is... Grin and bear it. You’ll see no complaints unless it’s like an emergency (actual sunburns or actual frozen limbs). But she has a personal vendetta against warm weather because she has to wear less clothing to not faint of too much heat and she wants her body safely out of eye reach, thank you very much.

P: Absolutely! She is very in tune with showing respect with mannerisms.  For most of her childhood and teenage years she used fake politeness all the time, so it was her MO for a long time before she realised she can get away with being rude to people she dislikes. Even then, her retorts are... not barbed like El’s are. They’re more in tune of tough love than bitchiness. But if she respects you, she will tone that down unless you really pissed her off and talk to you with gentle firmness and actual gentleness. She’ll also sing your praises with everyone she meets behind your back. Also, her table manners are impeccable.

H: While I don’t have her wear headgear most of the time in-game, in my story she actually doesn’t touch her hair much at all. She wears a helmet in battle, and it’s almost always pulled back and very rarely let loose, so it’s out of the way. Buuut if she wants to flirt, she’ll let her hair down, as she thinks it’s really cute. Noteworthy: she doesn’t really flirt anymore and the concept of looking cute for yourself has become increasingly foreign to her but.. she tries, i swear she tries

3. Who takes longer getting ready? 

Liaur used to take longer between makeup, picking what clothes to wear, and matching accessories, but down the line, it's probably Kvold, who builds up a collection of cute clothes and now has to decide what to wear while Liaur just throws on one of his go tos

Aezlin takes the absolute longest to get ready. He has to look Perfect after all. Gavin does put a bit of effort into looking nice as well. Oriphio will just wear whatever Aezlin tells him to honestly or some clean work clothes.

18. Who gets the window seat? 

Liaur and Kvold will likely swap back and forth depending on how they're both feeling, often repeatedly mid flight.

Aezlin gets the window seat, Gavin takes the middle, and Oriphio takes the aisle on planes. 

21. Who’s clumsier? 

Kvold is probably clumsier, but I feel it's a close call. The two are both pretty agile and skilled in combat. 

Oriphio is. He's big and tough and most of his scars are from genuine accidents because he works with volatile animals and doesnt always remember where his limbs are.

“So, it’s true?” Mouna asked, passing over the cup of tea to Aisha, “You’re really leaving Amnoon for good?”

Aisha took the cup. The herbal fragrance was nostalgic, it had been her sister’s favourite even when they were growing up. Mouna had few of the plants growing just outside her small home, that she lived on her own now that her husband had passed away and her kids grown up.

“I have to. I know it’s lot more peaceful here now, and people are more openly welcoming to Sunspears, but it’s not a place for me.” Aisha drank the tea, the warmth calming her nerves a bit. It had been years since Aisha had last seen her sister, and she had debated with herself if she should just leave without telling her, without opening up old wounds. She didn’t, she owed her that much.

“Hmm. I can’t say I get it”, Mouna answered, “Isn’t this what you and the others fought for? Shouldn’t this be good enough?”

Aisha looked at Mouna. She had always looked mature to her, but now, there were new wrinkles, new lines that had grown during the years Aisha had to keep her distance from family. So many days and events she had not been part of, that she had exchanged for the life of a Sunspear. Aisha still did not know if that exchange had been equal.

Aisha put the cup down, and answered: “I don’t know myself. I know what we achieved, and also that there’s still work to be done, if I want to devote the rest of my life to it. It’s just, for the first time in my life, I feel like I can choose my own path. Like you did.” At her darkest times, she had been more than a little envious of those who could live a normal live among all the chaos of the world.

“Like me?” Mouna snorted a little, “oh sister, I always thought you were the one with the freedom to choose. And you chose to protect everyone else. I couldn’t be more prouder big sister.”

Mouna rose to her feet, and closed the distance between them in a hug. Aisha accepted it, hiding her emotions in her sister’s shoulder.

“I hope you can find what you are looking for, sis” Mouna told Aisha,”And remember to write letters this time.”

“I promise”, Aisha replied, hugging her sister like it would be the last goodbye. Perhaps it would be.

43)  What is the first thing that changes when they realize they have feelings for the other?  Tyrese/Velvet - Tyrese becomes more protective like he was protective anyway but it gets to the point that if anyone so much as even makes a joke about hurting Velvet he gets defensive 

Proto/Laihr - tomomi’s dad senses went on alert honestly Laihr was the one to realize and she didn’t know how to act so it was just, awkward, between them until Laihr went to her aunts for help about it and Ashal was like “give them flowers!” so Laihr bought Proto flowers, they were both very confused 

Alec/Reòta - They stopped getting into fights 24/7, they still argued but Reò actually started to LISTEN 

Pépin/Elowen - Tall baker boy started to drop off more freshly baked cookies for local pink plant with tiny love notes on them 

49)  What do they do when they’re away from each other? Tyrese/Velvet - Ty is very sad, he hates being away from Velvet but usually Inki distracts him 

Proto/Laihr - its usually because Laihr has gone home so Laihr is busy at the time, I’m not entirely sure what Proto does BUT eventually Laihr starts to invite them in to her family home and for family dinners 

Alec/Reòta - its because Reò is causing problems and Alec has to go stop his chaotic boyfriend from turning a village into an icicle 

Pépin/Elowen - Its either because Pépin was found out to be sneaking out or because Elowen has gone home to Vabbi with his dads, either way - its usually because they don’t choose to be apart but are forced apart

7. how they like to dress

Matthias dresses with intent every day. His outfits are carefully curated down to how high he buttons a shirt or how high he laces his boots. Everything has to fit exactly what's expected of him, nothing can be off even a little. Any small change or slip could lead to a question, a crack in his façade, someone getting one step closer to realizing he doesn't belong here and doesn't deserve what he has.

Yappok is creachur in every way, Yappok's clothes are cobbled together from pretty cloths and shiny bobbles found and nicked from people who aren't looking! Bit of a mess, but a very fun mess~

Really, the whole song is excellent for her, but these are two of my favorite bits. Kerra struggles with depression (like me, haha), and the worst of it comes immediately after the conclusion of the personal story. During LWS1, she's recovering and doing the best she can, and this is a very good theme song for her during that time.

5. Who initiates kisses?

Both of them! Lei especially when they’re alone, but Eskel takes advantage of being able to totally block her from sight to steal kisses in more public areas sometimes.

12. What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

I don’t actually think they have any for each other?? Eskel even calls Lei by her full name 99% of the time, and rarely uses just ‘Lei’, it’s almost strange when he does!

13. Who remembers the little things?

Both of them, again! Lei has a very good memory, and especially since stumbling into the Homestead, she’s made a point of remembering every little event - even more so once she and Eskel are together.

And Eskel has always been good at remembering, I think, especially once the twins came along.

6. What’s their relationship with each other’s families?

Well, Lei’s stepped into the family as the twin’s step-mom now, but they’ve had a good relationship since day one - it probably helps that she’s always wiling to listen and help! She gets along with Eskel’s parents, as well.

Eskel is likewise on very good terms with Lei’s ‘brothers’, Amwyl and Nettle! Both are always welcome at the Homestead, and Amwyl has visited numerous times.

7. Who takes the lead in social situations?

This would be Eskel! Leilani sometimes gets a bit overwhelmed in large crowds - she’s a Soundless, and it’s harder to maintain her focus when there’s a million voices talking around her - so she’s happy to let Eskel take the lead!

Airell is a musician with a band and everything, and he works part time at a coffeeshop because he liked to

Eyris is a programmer and a huge nerd

Veress is an artist, he used to teach art at some school but they kick him out after someone rats his second job out. What is his second job? Well... he works at a night club as a performer or a bartender, depending on his shift.

Yvrell is Airell's step brother and is disabled - he is on a wheelchair after a horrible car accident when he was a kid. He blames Airell for it because Airell was behind the wheel, but the truth is the fault is on the other driver for going too fast on a red light. Yvrell is still a student

Keira is also Airell's kind of step sister but not really? She is from another mother, since Airell's real mom died to an addiction. I don't know how this works in English.

These are that I constantly use! Others are for just crowding the world.

Suibhne and the Sandstones

Covered in nothing but an itchy blanket, the sapling was presented to the woman. At the time, he didn’t know the words to describe her. Rich, gaudy, haughty. He didn’t know her intentions. He didn’t know.

She circled him like a vulture, he didn’t know he was in danger. She grabbed at him, tugging parts of him, squishing others. He tried to lean away, limited as his movement was. He didn’t know.

She stood in front of him, spoke something to the asura that had brought him. They handed her a key, it would undo the magic that bound him in place. She reached to his face, gently tapped his cheek. Then, in fingers painted in red that felt cold, squeezed a cheek.

Her daughter was much sweeter. He liked her daughter. He wasn’t a sapling anymore, he’d watched her grow. A joyful hum as he watched her twirl in her new dress. She could speak for hours. She was excited, he understood. His smile remained, reaching a hand,

“Lady Madeline,” He said, “Your mother is expecting us home soon.”

She gasped, then skipped closer to him. She took his hand, beaming at him. He was bought to protect her. He wanted to, now... At first, many ideas had crossed his mind.

They walked home, hand in hand. Then, she stopped suddenly. He paused, looking back, expecting her to be distracted. But she reached up and pinched his cheeks. His glow brightened.

“M-my lady-”

“You’re too tense,” she commented as she started walking again, “I like seeing you smile.”
