Transformers: Mosaic #414 - "The Way It Goes"

wada sez: This strip acknowledges Marvel UK artist Lee Sullivan, who worked on bits of “Time Wars”, which the strip references. Pirrie explained the premise of “Time Wars” in the deviantART comments: “Ultra Magnus and Galvatron have quite a history in that continuity. The fire effects are actually the sky as reality is being rent asunder due to the time-lost Galvatron being in the same time and place as Megatron. Galvatron spends the story remembering the events as he witnessed them as Megatron twenty years ago/at the same time. Galvatron and Megatron have teamed up and are taking out both the Autobot's AND Decepticons.” Now, in Marvel UK continuity, Ultra Magnus and Galvatron were planned to receive a final climactic face-off, after multiple confrontations in earlier storylines, but editorial changes meant this didn’t pan out. The gimmick of the strip is that you’re led to think the internal narration is that of Ultra Magnus regarding Galvatron, when in fact it’s the other way around! Inks of a preview panel below.

Are there any skateboarder bots? What is skateboarding as a sport like on a planet where you can just Be the board
Dear Kickflip Kid,
Many people don't know this, but Optimus Prime himself was an avid skateboarder before the outbreak of war—tearing up the pavements with his friend Shreddicus Maximus. I know this might seem shocking; these days, Optimus is a serious bot, but he has been known to have some fun from time to time.
As an alt-mode, skateboards are favored by Mini-Bots and Mini-Cons like Grindor, Skilz, and Ollie. As a mode of transport, they're favored by those who lack the ability to transform: Action Masters like Jazz and Lo-Fi, Pretenders wearing their shells, and suchlike. Hoverboards are also popular, albeit much more dangerous: Tailgate, Triggerhappy, and Daniel Witwicky have all suffered hoverboarding mishaps. I believe they are banned in most public spaces. Of course, some models are more reliable than others; the hoverboards I produced during my time as a factory on Nebulos all underwent rigorous quality assurance checks—you wouldn't download a hoverboard from any old Transfer Interlink. These four-wheel devices, no-wheel devices… the conveyance of newer bots, I must confess I have never used one myself. I would likely fall flat on my aft and slip a gear.

wada sez: Sureshot is one of the Autobot Targetmasters who never did anything of note, ever. Here, he’s up against Triggerhappy, one of the Decepticon Targetmasters. Previews and clean inks below.

Rodimus Prime’s Corner - Triggerhappy is usually too busy laughing uncontrollably and drooling out oil to look where he's shooting. He’s wild, unpredictable, and loves the sound of his guns blasting away. He’s paired with Blowpipe, the conniving, envious brother-in-law of Lord Zarak, the Nebulan leader of the Decepticon Headmasters.
