Har du også meget ondt i maven alt for tit?

Jeg har rigtig ofte ikke ondt i maven, men ubehag i maven. Jeg tror det primært er fordi jeg bekymrer mig hele tiden, og ofte unødigt, men jeg kan ikke stoppe. Det driver mig tilbage under dynen, når jeg kan slippe af sted med det (det er en af mine laster). Det var mit svar på dit spørgsmål, men nu har jeg brugt to ord, der trigger mig (ubehag, laster). Du er velkommen til at læse videre på min affødte tankerække:

Nogle filosoffer har vist beskrevet det gode (liv?) ud fra to fundamentale begreber behag og ubehag. Som om livet kan simplificeres og koges ned til kun dét. Umiddelbart må tanken komme fra utilitarismen, men jeg kan ikke rigtigt huske det. Det er måske værd at læse op på. Men jeg er lidt mere til dydsetik, da jeg mener intrinsisk værdi må dække over mere end blot mest muligt behag for flest mulige, og at det også handler om at tillære og dyrke dydige karaktertræk som mod, mådehold, sans for retfærdighed og fokus på moral (det er så dejligt arbitrært, fleksibelt og umuligt at forholde sig konkret til hvad det dækker over). Jeg tænker utilitarismen kan retfærdiggøre diskrimination af mindretallet, og derfor er jeg ikke særligt vild med den. Jeg tænker også at utilitarismen grundlæggende ikke arbejder med intrinsisk værdi, men blot ekstrinsisk værdi. Behag er vel mere et mål end et gode? Det afhænger selvfølgelig af hvad man forstår ved godt og godt i sig selv. Det har jeg svært ved at definere.

Og nu hvor vi er ved morallæren (endnu et triggerword), så synes jeg også at deontologi er for snæver og streng... I hvert fald, hvis man bruger Kants morallære, der for mig at se er mere utopi end det er funderet i virkeligheden. Verden er simpelthen for kompleks. Der er for mange hensyn og for mange variationer til, at man kan lave regler, der dækker universelt og evigt. Hvad blev der af gråzonerne? Hvad blev der af vægt på forskellige værdier og behov? Hvad blev der af hensynet? At handle ud fra reglens iboende værdi før man handler ud fra hensyn til den konkrete situation og de involverede i situationen... det tror jeg ikke er holdbart i længden, men jeg er jo også retoriker. Retorik arbejder ikke med universelle anskuelser. Retorik arbejder med perspektiver og afvejninger. Hvis det ikke kan diskuteres, så er det ikke et retorisk emne.

The urge to soapbox against the latest wave of "think of the children!" hand-wringing is almost overwhelming, except I know, I KNOW that the people h=who most need to listen to a bit of common sense will absolutely refuse to listen. so there's definitely an ai database linking all the info known about people including the other people they know, their most common locations on a map, and where they're likely to show up next, right. like there's absolutely predictive ai going beyond advertisements trying to get you to go to some store and just skipping to knowing you'll be at the communist party meeting in the basement of the unitarian church on 78th because you hang out with the people who usually go to those meetings and you hang out at the leftist second-hand bookstore/coffeeshop and you follow communist former-twitter accounts and you live within 6 city blocks of the unitarian church which holds communist party meetings in its basement and you made jokes specifically about how funny it is the communists would meet in a church that your al*xa picked up & alerted on the triggerwords and your work schedule just changed to allow you to meet up. and the authority figures who need to know that have that ai database.

i don't mean 'you' because you're not important but i mean, it exists.

Urgh, this is exactly the kinda dumb stuff, (lets call em) toooooo enthusiastic Social Media allys throw into the internet thinking that would make our life oh so much better.

Bruh, it makes it worse. It makes it unnessesarily more complicated than it already is. Folks will start up standing in front of a trans person, already being too annoyed about all the times they got bashed for using words that are still normally used medical terms and - you know what happens when people get annoyed about a group of people? They have the illogical typical human reaction of wanting to bully and harm folks identifying as part of that specific group. Doesn't matter the individual never bugged them or even talked to them. The moment the mob will hear certain triggerwords they'll go ham. This isn't only caused by mad politicians and TERFs. It is also caused by these kinda special snowflakes getting all out rude just because people - people that are actually affected by that matter - call themselves ftm or transsexual or fuck knows what.

That kinda behaviour has nothing to do with allyship. If anything it is the opposite.

I'm also calling my Transition an ftm-transition, because this is what is happening here! I had to live the role of a female for 30 years of my life (yes ffs I know I'm an old fart, bite me :P) and now finally figured out that I am more myself as a man, considering that is what I mentally and deep down in my heart am and always has been. So I am transitioning my outer shell to that. From female to male. Boom!

don't use "ftm" it's outdated and offensive. it implies that the trans person was their agab, which we never were. i was always a boy, never a girl who became a boy.

sorry not sorry if this comes off as needlessly hostile, but i've been getting a lot of shit from a lot of teenage trans kids about the language i use to describe my own goddamn experience, and i'm growing real fuckin weary of it.

i have elder trans friends who call themselves transsexuals and transvestites and trannies. are you going to seriously go to a 60-year-old trans person who survived the reagan years and tell her she's not allowed to use certain language to describe herself because it might offend the delicate sensibilities of some teenager on the internet?

do yourself a favor and log off, find some real-life trans people who are over the age of 20 or 25, and spend time talking to them instead of getting all holier-than-thou at random strangers on tumblr.
