CONTENT WARNINGS: bruises, implied team whump

Bruises splattered his skin as if were watercolors. A rainbow of dark hues painted over his stomach and left cheek, in rough strokes and sharp lines. It left the group breathless, some even tearful with worry.

do you not also have multiple facets you show different people? are we not all beautiful multifaceted individuals? are your actions and reactions not influenced by your emotions and state of mind?

can't he laugh at his own jokes? can't he fondly think of the Agency? can't he be dramatic because he wants to? can't he be surprised by something suddenly happening, even if he knew it would happen? do you not jump when the jack in the box gets out even if you were the one working the mechanism?

why would the mean persona be more real? why would any and all joy be faked? why are you only allowing him misery?

CONTENT WARNINGS: scars, chronic pain, healing of scars, more graphic descriptions of scars below the cut

hear me out

takuto maruki has scars because of the whole merging with azathoth to become adam kadmon, more specifically both a neck scar and a hand scar (because of the whole staff thing)

the neck scar is obvious- but the hand scar is something i think would happen since maruki needs a direct connection to azathoth to do stuff (maybe like, in using actualization, he has an invisible tentacle somewhere wrapped on his body, adding more scars for every actualization he did; in real life, it isn’t visible, but in the metaverse, its visible type deal)

but also hear me out

the scar tissue would still hurt even it being cared for or appearing fully healed, like gentle movements make it ache- maybe there are more scars along maruki’s back because of reasons that are a combination of the neck and hand scars; he’s using actualization on so many people, and he needs a lot of power from azathoth to do it, but he can’t let people know that he’s using actualization

there’s criss-crossing lines, evidence of torn flesh and maybe even burns from intense persona usage, layer upon layer of scar tissue built up-

maybe maruki’s scars could last a few weeks, maybe years at best considering how many people he used actualization on, but the constant is that scars don’t heal as quicky as he thought, maybe he’s still suffering because he knows the scars are a testament to his connection with azathoth, for better and for worse

Damn I never shipped sidlink in botw but totk threw me right onto the ship despite Nintendo’s no homo attempt?? I like how they gave Sidon those abandonment issues. It’s he’s second time witnessing some big evil rising upon Hyrule. The first time he was a kid, couldn’t do anything, and forever lost his sister. Of course facing the big evil again would make Sidon scared about losing someone important to him, be it fiancée or simply childhood friend.

The only person Sidon wouldn’t worry about losing is probably Link, for in Sidon’s mind Link is the most skilled warrior he ever met. Then Link went to face Ganondorf alone at the castle and almost got hit in the face (twice) if Sidon and other sages didn’t arrive to help in time? I smell tasty angst potential right here😋

this is my killjoysona i havent finished designing him entirely but i still wanted to post it

he probably gets like super sunburned all the time because i did not want to give her pants and a jacket......i would never wear pants and a jacket even if they look cool..... so i just added some shit i thought looked cool onto her limbs so she wouldnt get SUPER messed up. i know the colors differ a lot from the usual primary colors but i literally never wear those and i know i'm emo but i also don't wear black sooooo i just had to content myself with using the regular colors i wear but more of them so it looks more bright.

for the sort of gimmick i had him wearing a bunch of trinkets and "jewelry" that's just keychain charms. half of her glasses are busted out cause i though it looked cool and thats basically the same reasoning for the hair (except that lots of killjoys have dyed hair and i thought it would make me look more like a fictional character and not just me in cosplay) and her hairclips are one of thos decorative bird thingies and a paperclip. also i will never wear boots im a socks and sandals boy forever so yeah

also i decided a cis killjoy is just wrong so i made genderfuck

People are so often obsessed with one true real self... and it's something Sparkle's character broughts up.

But how much real self matters? If someone were to act a certain way in front of others, not because that's natural to them, but because they're choosing to act this way, would that make them fake? Even though it's their choice to be this way? Even though out of all the personalities they could act out, they're choosing this one?

What's the difference between acting and true personality then? People act different in different situations and in front of different people and yet, it's not called being fake. Where is the line?

Does true self even has any meaning? Doesn't true self come with the assumption that everyone has a natural personality they're born with?

But people are shaped by circumstances. By memories. By other people.

What even is true self?
