If you don’t vote, then you’re complicit if Trump’s re-elected and when project 2024 goes into effect. If you purposely throw away your vote, you’re complicit.
I understand we’re angry and upset over the state of our country, but grow up. Not voting and throwing away your vote either as an act of passive protest or nihilistic apathy isn’t going to do shit. It’s not going to convince anyone to change how our politics work. It’s not going to suddenly deconstruct our government system. It won’t fix anything. It will just help the wrong side win.
I get it- you don’t like your options. This country is going downhill. You feel powerless. We all do. Yet you’re trying to throw away the only power you have to affect the trajectory of this country, and you’re encouraging other to do the same.
This election isn’t just about who you agree with and who you don’t. Honestly I couldn’t care less what party you’re in. This is about keeping someone intent on making America into a dictatorship out of office. This is about putting your critical thinking cap on and making sure America doesn’t descend into something worse before it’s too late to change it. If Trump wins, it’ll be too late. He and his supporters are already repealing and making new laws that support turning America into a dictatorship.
Your vote matters because we live in a country ruled by majority vote. That means one side has to outvote the other. Saying you’re against Trump but won’t vote even if you’re eligible to means that you’re actually for Trump. You’re complicit if he wins and whatever he and his cronies do to this country during his term.
You might not like whoever is on the democratic side, but putting a democratic leader in office will act as an impediment to whatever the radical rights are trying to do. It will buy us four more years of trying to change what’s happening.
Get off your high horse. Not all of us will be safe if Trump wins like you might be, even if you don’t like him. Grow up.

i dont care how fucking effective sinovac itself is or isnt (sinovac was my first 2 shots and my Only shot for months and and i still havent gotten covid at all yet) if the usa didnt want to let in anyone who didnt have a yankee vaccine "because of safety concerns" then maybe they shouldve exported their fucking vaccines instead of hoarding them and allowing them to expire under an explicit "america first" policy. this is clearly not about safety. it was another way for the usa to enforce their borders you bricks for brains fucking idiot

This is the homophobic racist CNN had hosting their Donald Trump “Town Hall”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When I said before that I would not be giving CNN any views, I meant that. CNN is hiring white supremacists and calling them journalists.
I understand that the saying, “we are living in perilous times” might seem overused, but goddamnit, we have a racist, traitorous, former occupant of the White House—LOL, I’ll never call him president—who stacked the Supreme Court with Federalist Society nut jobs, and fomented an insurrection, and very likely sold or freely gave national secrets to Vladimir Putin, and all Chris Licht & CNN sees are dollar signs, just like Les Moonves did.
Conservatives, Republicans and Libertarians find hate and cruelty toward marginalized groups amusing.
For those who don’t know, the Daily Caller is a white nationalist-lite publication, founded by Tucker Carlson, that right wingers love to read. Apparently that was Kaitlan’s only previous “job” experience before CNN hired her.
This is not new. Look at Elon Musk and Twitter. Every time some rich old white guy lies and says they want their outlet to have “more balanced viewpoints,” they almost always mean they want it to have more racists to have more freedom of hate speech. Now Chris Licht is running the same okie doke.
Trash ass media outlet.

like i think white american liberals can feel so exhausted at the amount of empathy and sympathy they have for the most marginalized groups that they end up the most vocal about how bad the presidential candidates are, how tired they are of voting, how the only solution is a revolution right now, etc etc. and like poc are exhausted too. i don't Want to vote for either of these guys. i would love a major upturn of the u.s. political system. but with me, there is literally no other option except trying as hard as i can to prevent trump's second term, and that most likely means voting for biden + encouraging others to do the same. it's disheartening at best, infuriating at worst to read people loudly casting doubts in upcoming elections and distancing themselves from the one process that could preserve or destroy entire swaths of people. yes, more people than now. like i'm sorry but it's too fucking early to complain. it's too fucking early to even want to give up. if you want to give up now then i frankly believe you're not recognizing what there is still left to lose. poc have everything to lose. my friends and family in countries battered by colonization and imperialism, they have so much to lose. if you think a second term under trump only means losing some rights in exchange for sticking it to biden, you need to realize that for far too many people, we're gambling the entire quality of life. we're gambling physical safety amidst the types of people who are emboldened by trump's rhetoric. we're gambling certain communities' chances of survival. life or death, i truly believe it.
right now you have a choice, and that choice means the world. stop echoing the idea that right now is the worst it gets when it can get so much worse for people outside of your position, if you don't do your barest fucking minimum.

This is hilarious to me.
Instead of questioning why people are comparing trump to hitler this bitch just wants everyone to stop comparing them.

The part of the Zionists rhetoric I've seen online especially here on tumblr that really... not so much confuses or disturbs me because every part of supporting racism and genocide is disturbing, but the part that makes me nauseous in a very specific way, is how many of these people claim to be leftists. Not the Israeli government or the majority of Zionists obviously, they're proud racist right wingers. But here on tumblr you have people who believe in feminism and queer rights and would agree easily enough with surface level takes on how racism in America is bad. And when it comes to conservatives and red fascists they can easily tell when a right wing racist or homophobe is arguing in bad faith, they can make long posts explaining the harm behind terf rhetoric and how it differs from the actual fight for women's liberation. They can look at the Russia and Ukraine conflict and use critical thinking to call out bad actors with ease.
But then with Israel and Palestine they just... Flip. All the bad faith arguments they criticised before is now their modus operandi. They ignore the ongoing genocide and the Palestinians talking about it and focus on the oppressors, only reblogging the same one or two Palestinian voices once every now and then that say everything they want to hear and nothing more.
I think the most striking example is that "antisemitism bingo" someone made where the ongoing genocide was something to be laughed at and the blog made fun of Palestinian civilians being tortured. And yet when a blocklist went around of people who interacted with that ghoulish blog, clearly explaining why we should avoid them, (Hijt:The racism and dehumanisation of Palestinians) these "leftist zionists" immediately were like "Oh its a block list of Jewish blogs! It's only blocking us because we're Jewish!"
Like it's the most bad faith easily disproven illogical argument that every random 4chan troll can make. It's not my actions it's because I'm white! It's not my homophobic remarks it's because I'm straight!
I still struggle to understand how they're able to flip so easily from intelligent historical and societal discussions of oppression and intersectionality to denial of the Nakba, denial of the apartheid and racism that has ruled the Israeli state since its conception, denial of the Israeli terrorism and colonisation ongoing in the West Bank that Palestinians have been speaking up about for years (The save Sheikh Jarrah campaign and the murder of peaceful Palestinian activists predates October 7th by quite a bit and yet received far, far less coverage by western media) and denial of everything the government and soldiers and many citizens are currently doing to murder as many Palestinians as possible. How do you go from pointing out cult tactics to a Maga style tribalism enthusiast just because it's Palestinians being oppressed and not another group?
The only reason I can think of is that unlike say, white people or straight people, zionists DO have an understandable, real fear that they can use to promote their racist cult. Antisemitism exists worldwide and is a problem in every single country. Unlike ridiculous concepts like "white genocide" or misandry, there is grounded, factual and understandable reasons for Jewish people to want a community where they can feel safe. And anyone who truly cares about equality for all must be committed to stamping out and dismantling antisemitism in every country and neighbourhood, because Zionists sure as hell aren't. The more antisemitism exists the greater their fuel for justifying and promoting Israel as the One True answer to it all.
But the solution of Israel involved ethnic cleansing in order to built their majority Jewish state, and relies on racism and genocide to maintain it. Just like any other coloniser state, it's not sustainabile and is constantly spiralling towards fascism. (America currently contending for loudest spiral) And that is obvious to anyone who reads up on the history or just like. Talks to Palestinians for five seconds. Israel exists due to racism and dehumanisation of Palestinians, and anyone who considers that an acceptable sacrifice is blatantly morally bankrupt. But the tribalism is simply too strong for that sort of logic and understanding, and whatever reasons they may have for falling into Zionism, it's still unacceptable. If you're still on here talking about "demonising Israel and exaggerating genocide (for the woke agenda, is what they're two steps away from saying) then I have no sympathy or time for you. One day you will be forced to reckon with your cognitive dissonance and willful ignorance, and the self righteous racist narrative you cling to will no longer be enough to protect you from judgement. Normal people with their morals screwed on right don't support fascism and racism. Leftists sure as hell shouldn't support facism and racism. (And yes this goes for those who defend Russian and Chinese imperialism too.)
You talk about feeling isolated, about having no one but fellow zionists to rely on. No one else will accept how complicated the situation is, you say over the sound of ten thousand murdered children killed and celebrated by the fascists you're carrying water for. Everyone else is just too antisemitic! You say as the Israeli government and military celebrates Hannukah by bombing Palestinians and joking that they're lighting one of the candles.
I genuinely can't tell if these people are aware they're full of shit or just so scared that they've dived deep into cult mentality with zero critical thought allowed. But either way, there should be no more space for them in our community than a nazi, a homophobe or a Trump supporter. They may have parroted similar ideals of equality and justice for long enough, but when push came to shove and the issues began to hit too close to home, they decided that supporting facism is how they want to cope. So be it. Palestine will be free with or without them and I will mourn the intelligent principled people they could have been, but at the end of the day you have to draw the line somewhere. And supporting genocide is generally a solid line to go with.

U.S. Americans: Vote Locally. Do it.
There seems to be a common misconception that the presidential election is the most important one not just for the USA, but for the world - WRONG!
Let me be clear: You should vote in the Presidential election.
Historically, young people don't vote. Even though young voter turnout has increased drastically since Trump, local voting is still largely being determined by conservative older generations.
Importantly, you should be voting locally in part because this is the largest influence over who gets nominated in the Primary and how your opinion is vocalized on a national scale. Also:
voter restriction/suppression
climate change efforts/issues (such as pipelines getting built)
policing, law enforcement and mass incarceration
availability of affordable housing, public transport, disability relief
education - as in, whether or not PragerU gets taught in schools
If you are worried about "being selfish" for focusing smaller local issues instead of global ones (such as the current genocide), I understand. However, this is a more effective way to pressure the current President - local legislators have more voice than we do. This is also setting up a less racist, genocidal future for global politics because Presidential nominees are almost always picked from State level positions.
The Presidential election helps people to feel good/bad about an "immediate" measurable result from a single action. But the truth is that the Bidens of the US will keep being the only rival to "I want to be a dictator" Trumps if we don't start investing our votes from the ground up.
Here is a guide (mostly from this website https://tminstituteldf.org/local-elections/ ):
CITY GOVERNMENT
School Boards:
Have the power to set policy and budgets for local schools, such as whether or not you can protest without losing your job or getting expelled.
Sherrifs:
Generally speaking, Sherrifs are fucked up. It's too much for me to go into here. They have way too much unilateral power with no oversight at all.
youtube
Prosecutors:
The largest contributor to mass incarceration
They set the terms on whether someone is charged with a misdemeanor or felony and being convicted of a felony will strip your right to vote in many states - some permanently.
City Council:
City Council approve things like city budgets and implement criminal and civil laws and regulations
Also the voice of their City at a State and Federal level. Generally, these are some of the people you should be shouting at to bring your voice higher up the food chain.
This includes the Mayor who often decides where budgets go (like schools or cops), and they also determine the level of enforcement of local laws.
County Board of Supervisors (County Commissioners):
Represent county issues in front of state and federal legislative bodies. Counties are also responsible for registering voters and administrating elections. i.e., another group of people who have a stronger voice against the elected Democrat when it comes to larger issues.
Planning and Zoning Commission:
Determines how and where affordable housing is zoned in your area. Has a huge effect on housing segregation.
Comptroller:
The City's accountant and budget manager - this is the person who audits the City Council and makes sure they aren't basically stealing money. They also approve city contracts such as those for affordable public transportation and shelters.
STATE GOVERNMENT
Judges:
This one is crucial. Your state judges act as the Supreme Court of your given state. The cases that they weigh on when it comes to state laws (such as abortion, medical autonomy, immigration, right to protest/free speech, etc.) these are binding and final.
Superintendent of Education:
This is the person who decides if PragerU gets to teach classes on why Zionism and Evangelical teachings are "ok and good, actually".
Secretary of State:
The person who certifies elections in your state - for the Presidency, but also for all of these other positions mentioned. It is so, so important that this person cannot be bought or pressured.
Attorney General:
Has influence over law enforcement agencies and represents the state in legal disputes - such as those where someone is disputing their rights are being infringed by the state. (abortion, medical autonomy, immigration, right to protest/free speech, etc.)
Governor:
Is basically the president of your state. They sign in laws, have veto power and oversee all of the other departments. They also can appoint Justices and State Senate seats if they are empty.
Not only does this person have a lot of state power, they also have a ton of influence over the broader federal climate and are one of the positions that fast-tracks to Presidency (see: Ron Desantis).
State Comptroller (or Controller):
Same as City Comptroller except extremely importantly they manage disaster relief/preparation funding - which is especially important amidst climate change.
Also oversee fraud investigations.
Public Service Commissioner:
Determines rates for things like energy, water, internet in your state.
Also deals with the gas and oil industry in your state, often being in charge of approval/rejection of the building of oil pipelines.
They can be appointed by the Governor.
State Senators:
Has just about the most authority in a state, with the ability to impeach Governors and deny someone the Governor tries to appoint
Another position that fast-tracks to Presidency
Draft and introduce/pass state laws and amend the state constitution
State House of Reps:
Can call for the removal of another legislator
Draft and introduce/pass state laws
All Right. I'm running out of steam on this post. Please, please, please, PLEASE register to vote *right now* and look over the website when you do to see if it can set up email alerts when an election is coming up.
Buy a calendar and mark voting days and stick it to your wall TODAY. Set aside an hour of your time, TODAY, to make a plan for voting.
Go to this website, enter your state. It will tell you exactly what to do. Register.
Lastly, if you don't like Biden and it makes you feel like shit to vote for him (understandably), then YOU NEED TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY.

Remember what CBS’s former CEO, Les Moonves, said about giving Trump billions in free airtime?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It’s happening all over again.
CNN is enabling Trump today, and tomorrow they’ll pretend they were always fighting against him.
If selling out America to a rapist traitor who sold secrets to Russia makes them richer, CNN does not give a single fuck.
The media is complicit.

living in the US has to be a simulation because the spokesperson of the white house on national television said, verbatim, which nation has done more to alleviate the suffering of civilians in gaza than the US? we have been sending BILLIONS.. not millions but billions of dollars and weaponry to israel and are the only !! nation voting no to a ceasefire. do they think we aren’t privy to this information and haven’t seen the mass annihilation of palestinians in real time through our phone screens or do they genuinely believe the lies that are coming out of their mouth? this cannot be a real gov’t system

Also it's a good thing for my sister that the electoral college exists because otherwise she wouldn't be able to say "well my state went for hillary so it didn't matter" when I remind her that her husband made the dumbass choice to write in Bernie. Like an asshole.
This is the only time the electoral college has helped anyone who wasn't a republican.

Okay then
Horrible update: A BLM group decided to post in support of Palestine. Which is their right. If they feel strongly about something, they should speak up
Tara Strong went ahead and made an Instagram story saying, "What a slap in the face to the Jews who marched beside you"
That's a word for word quote
The story is gone now, but "throwawayuntilfurthernotice" has a screenshot on their tumblr
Oh, not this. :/
I used to follow her on twitter but stopped because she kept tweeting animal gore meant to shame people since she's one of those vegetarians/vegans who are a little... touchy, for lack of better words.
So I haven't been hearing of what she's doing. Needless to say, it's a crying shame that she does this, but many zionists hold activism above a group's/individual's head like it's some kind of favor to be repayed, even though it's just basic human decency.
