TSITP Season 3 prediction 🥁🥁🥁

I think they do the classic book-to-movie move and stretch the third book into two seasons OR to completely off script or something. Because the pacing of the plot that we have right now just does not lend itself to the book 3 timeline. Can you really see Belly and Jeremiah as they are right now planning a wedding? (I know the point in the books was that it moved fast/they were too young, but come on!)

Otherwise, I think we'll get one season of Belly x Jeremiah (remember, now we have details during the school year and not just summer- this entire season took place over the course of a few days) and then a fourth season of Belly and Conrad finding their way back to each other. I think THATS the big "things could change" vibe that Jenny is alluding to.

More importantly, I need Taylor x Steven to stay a thing and I'd like another appearance by my main man Cam Cameron, please and thank you.

Jeremiah after book 3 - SPOILERS AHEAD READ AT YOUR OWN RISK

So I said this in my previous post about Jeremiah’s letter, but I know what happens at the end of book 3. The one thing I wish Jenny Han would’ve done is give us a more well-rounded ending. The time jump was rushed in my opinion. Yes, we know that Conrad and Belly find their way back to each other. We actually get to read the letters that he wrote to belly while she was studying abroad. However, we don’t see or hear about Jeremiah after they called off the wedding. The last mention of him is that he smiled at belly as she was leaving and had brought a date to the wedding. We don’t know anything else about him, in book 3 we don’t even find out his major. I just feel like the whole series we got to see both boys and learn about them but book three we didn’t get much of Jeremiah outside of the relationship with belly. Does that make sense? I would’ve liked to see a mention of what he was up to. It makes him seem less 3 dimensional. Especially when we know that Conrad wants to be a doctor, that he still talks to laurel, that he sent belly letters, etc. it doesn’t seem fair to not give the readers what Jeremiah was up to.

But also kinda fun to theorize about, what do you think Jeremiah ended up becoming? Do you think he was Conrad’s best man? Do you think they truly repaired their relationship? Did belly and Jeremiah ever get to be best friends again?Do you think Jeremiah ends up with his true love or never settles down?

She's clearly very attached to Susannah and takes her words seriously. She loves her so much to the point that we see her calling her mom (in s1 ep 7) and she has told about her date with Cam to Susannah 1st before Laurel (tho that just might be a way so that it's easy to persuade Laurel coz Susannah knows Cam). Laurel is strict as moms are and Susannah is that "cool aunt" character in her life. Tsitp is a story about Belly navigating between her love for Susannah and making her own choices. Most of the times Belly listens to Susannah coz that's what Belly wants too or she doesn't really mind doing what Susannah suggested.

She has spent so much time living in the sweet, comforting shade of Susannah's creation of this perfect summer where nothing hurts. But perfect is an illusion. Tsitp is about her detaching away from this perfectly created ideal world of Susannah and trying to find herself outside of it. We see this when Taylor suggests she does something outside of Susannah's lobster dinner tradition on her birthday. So she goes to Nicole's party. And what happens at the party? It's fun and it's fucked coz she has a row with Taylor. Much like reality- not perfect.

Summers are perfect. Susannah wants one last perfect summer. And one thing Belly does is to run away from facing the harsh reality. They both mirror this behaviour. But perfect is an illusion.

Summers have to be perfect and that's why she feels it's an apt happy fairytale ending to her story that she gets with her long time crush at the end of summer when he finally reciprocates. But perfect is an illusion. So, the happy fairytale ending happens at the end of s1. But what happens after the fairytale endings?, we are never shown in the stories but we do see it in the show.

Cinderellas story only ended in a bad divorce. (Mad at Disney by Salem Ilese As much as I love the soundtrack of this show, I feel this song should've been in the show coz it's so apt).

I love how the show is about Belly trying to find the right balance between her love for Susannah and finding her own self and living her own life.

I think the show should still end with Belly writing Susannah a letter coz I feel it would be an apt ending to a show where the story centres so much on Susannah and Belly's dynamic but it should be different from the book 3.

Do you think we're going to have the “go to jeremiah. he’s the one who wants you. i don’t. i never did.” line? I don't want Belly to go back to him next season it reminds me of the books where at the end of 2 she has this character development then the next book they regressed her and make her unlikeable to me this wasn't Belly they made her treat Jeremiah like shit cmon Jenny I do like the series more since we get more Jelly but... I hate how they try to lessen Jere to favor Conrad and make him seem more sympathetic their connection and childhood flashbacks were not really shown like it wasn't Conrad who was there for her it was Jere. The books weren't that great though she kept going back to Conrad no matter what he did she kind of does the same in the show I just want Belly to stay with Jere no matter what give him your whole heart become endgame in season 3 Jenny could finally be redeemed for what she did over a decade ago.

We get it in ep8, but it was different 😭

Exactly, the whole characters development was thrown into the trashcan in the third book. It felt like some kind of fanfic in favor of conrad.
