I snooze it every time it pops back up, but now for whatever reason the stupid live camera icon is on my dash no matter if I snoozed it or not. And also why tf is snooze the only option? Can I opt to just turn it off entirely, please? I never intend to use it. Like ever.

In case you’re thinking that the mature content flagging is just an annoying inconvenience because it forces people to click past a popup every time they try to visit your blog: It’s not.

It actually suppresses your visibility in the tags you use on your posts. The post with 84 notes total was posted two hours before the post with 406 notes total, to a blog which at the time of posting had over 500 followers. The post with 406 notes total was posted to a blog which had 0 followers at the time of posting.

It’s possible that blogs which are flagged are also suppressed on their followers’ dashboard feed, but the tag issue is definitely known (Tumblr tells you it does this when you visit your settings.) So.

If you’re an artist or other creator and you’re experiencing mysteriously low engagement on your posts, this might be why.

man, I love Tumblr so much. Cuz most users (that I've come across) are pretty chill and nice and don't take shit too seriously.

Meanwhile, ya girl made a Reddit account today, posted some memes, and within an hour got told off by rabid fangirls.

What was my transgression, you ask? I jokingly called a character dorky. Like, he's a funny little guy. On Tumblr we regularly say shit like "I wanna put him in a jar and shake it" or "bestie I'm biting you" to express our affection, and that doesn't translate elsewhere. 🙈😅

TL;DR: Tumblr 4 life, cuz the rest of the internet is so not my ecological niche.
