Please, when you see something written in Cyrillic, don't assume right away that it's russian. Russian is not the only language that uses Cyrillic. There are also Ukrainian, Belarusian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Montenegrin, Serbian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Tajik, Mongolian.
It's a sensitive topic especially for us Ukrainians because russian language is a weapon. It's a colonial language, it's presented like one and only true slavic language, it erases and replaces other languages. Belarusian is literally on the verge of extinction because of russian. Ukrainian has been banned 134 times throughout history, it is still called a "village language", a dialect of russian. Russian colonialism is literally the reason why there are so many russian speaking people in Ukraine (I was one of them btw). Ukrainian is banned on russian occupied territories and people are getting in trouble or even killed for using it there, Ukrainian POWs in russian captivity are getting brutally beaten for speaking Ukrainian.
Like okay, I can get why there's this confusion, so here's a clue to understand that the language you're looking at definitely is not russian — the letter і. If you see ї (like i but with two dots) it's 100% Ukrainian. If you see j it's Serbian. Russian alphabet also doesn't have such letters as Ђ, Љ, Њ, Ў, Џ (dont confuse with Ц ). Yes, it's not always gonna be easy to detect that the language in front of you is not russian, but when you have trouble with it just ask or run it through any translation app and it'll probably tell you the language.
Hope this will be helpful.

Just a good snapshot on what Turkic people are, and why I keep saying Turkic does not equal Turkish.
Also, if you want to get into the whole "Mamluk Kipchaks who ended up ruling over countries where they were sold as slaves", just Google "Sultan Beibarys".
Spoiler: a Kipchak boy sold as a slave in Egypt, ends up ruling it.
Cheers.

Some information about the Chulym language:
It’s critically endangered, meaning there are very few native speakers left, who are also elderly, and young people are not picking up the language. In writing, Chulym seems to use Cyrillic and or IPA and Latin script. You can read more about the Chulym language and people on Wikipedia, here and here; and on Living Tongues here.

Turkic languages are so cool. You’re telling me you have one pronoun for everyone?!?! That so fucking amazing. That means you don’t have to go out of your way to say he/him, she/her, and they/them?!!?!?

Neolithic in Anatolia https://jacquescoulardeau.medium.com/neolithic-in-anatolia-f1a293d85ca6
I just published Neolithic in Anatolia. It is more than surprising, it is disquieting that so many archaeologists neglect language in their research. It is even more shocking to see how much they neglect women and their essential role in survival. The survival of the species, of the community, but also the expansion of this species that will eventually conquer the whole planet, and this essential role in survival had given them an essential place in the spiritual dimension of this survival, at least up to the peak of the Ice Age, and maybe even to the Madgalenian. But they will lose that spiritual position in the Neolithic. How bizarre that archaeologists do not see how women held the fate of humanity in their minds because they enabled the species to survive and expand, provided three children were brought to a full 29-year-long life. 3 children per woman. How many pregnancies did it mean? Science is slowly moving out of its pro-male sexism and it might finally see the light of equality in differences instead of inequality in a homogenizing bias.
Ian Hodder did a good job, and yet women are not considered, and children are hardly mentioned except as neonates buried under the thresholds of houses and rooms. How can we get out of this biased vision that centers the whole discourse and the whole reality on the males only, often by not even mentioning the sex of the people he is speaking of? Sexual prowess Ian Hodder likes so much has only to do with men of course. What do you think?

HBomb94 has got to be one of the people they're adding to Hermitcraft I'm so serious I will literally learn Turkish if he's not. Like this is beyond copium, in my head he belongs there. Why wouldn't every Hermit vote him in? He even duelled Etho in Pixlmon once. Who else can say that??? He's the kind of guy to help you resource gather without (much) complaint. He loves making minigames for friends and getting people together (in Minecraft). He makes YouTube videos! The H in his name stands for Hermit!

I will never not love how literal animal names are in my people's language.
Toad / Jirbaqa - jir (dirt) + baqá (frog). Dirtfrog
Turtle / Taşbaqa - taş (rock) + baqá (frog). Rockfrog
Ptarmigan / Qөrtlek - qөrt (snow pile). Snow pile thingie.
Pigeon / Qügәrçen - qügәr (to mold, to rust, to go dirty). Dirty boy 😭
Parrot / Tutı Qoş - totu (hold, catch) + qoş (bird). Held birb!
I love this language. It's so perfectly logical. It's also so cool. I'm getting better with it every day, my personal blog is now 100% in my language and I write in it a lot more confidently. 😼 Ancestors would be proud
