Luxury Horse Barn

One of my sims started breeding horses and needed proper facilities. So I built her a barn that ticks all the boxes!

Amenities:

stables for 8 horses

indoor and outdoor riding arena

pasture

living accommodations for the family (2 bedrooms/2 bathrooms)

groom accommodations (1 bedroom/1 bathroom)

There are 3 Versions:

One uses the box stalls that came with the Pets expansion, and the other two use DIY box stalls made with fences and gates. If you don't know how to use the DIY stalls and you're curious, let me know and I'll make a tutorial.

Things to note:

I had @ohrudi's "Pets need less space" mod installed when I was play-testing. I think the lot will still work without it, but I have not play-tested it without the mod, besides: you will find playing with horses way more enjoyable with this mod!

If you direct your sim to jump the course while the sim is already in the outdoor arena, you will get a routing error. The jumping course works best if you position the rider and the horse outside of it (I marked the area in the screenshot below) and then direct your sim from there to jump the course. The sim will then gallop into the arena and start jumping the course.

The exterior was inspired by the lot "Moonlight Stables" by Rocket Jane. I really liked the look of this lot, but I wanted more stables, an indoor riding arena and a bigger pasture. So I had to build my own.

Paraiso En Las Rocas (If I can, I would also recommend to download the empty version (or populated, if you don't mind mixing up premades and OCs) of Paraiso En El Mar, because I think they complement each other. PEEM has so many gorgeous community lots! You can use PEEM as Main and PELR as subhood or do the opposite. Custom Harvestable - Hemp Plant (Planting Overhaul Edition)

This mod is an edit of a harvestable "mary jane" plant by wintermutea1 (still available at the booty).

I'm not fond of drugs for sims in my game, so I turned it into a hemp plant that can be grown to harvest hemp seeds that are used to stock the fridge.

As this mod was meant to go with our Planting Overhaul Mod, I already got rid of a custom plot and included the required seeds packet to be able to plant it. The plant is also visible in hood view.

A giant thank you and my eternal gratitude goes to @lamare-sims who cleaned, fixed and optimized this mod. @deedee-sims gets a special mention and many thanks for writing a tutorial on making objects stock the fridge.

Texture size: 512x512

Polycount: 1004 polys for the plant, 488 for the buds, 64 polys for the harvested hemp seeds bag.

TS2: Platinum Aspiration's 4to2 Satterly Jane Dress conversion for MaxisAF, Athletic Girl, Amazonian, 34De-36, Classic Pinup, FitChick, RIO, Sassy Curvy and Sussi bodyshapes

Greetings and salutations! Here are a multitude of bodyshapes wearing Platinum Aspiration's 4to2 Satterly Jane Dress, with Gloria(ankle strap) wedge, Glorianna wedge and Ingrid boot footwear choices. I also had some footwear choice dilemma but decided to go this route. The picture represents all the bodyshapes(left to right) and each bodyshape has all the outfits and the footwear options have separate folders. The bodyshapes are Adult Female(Maxis), Athletic Girl, Amazonian, Classic Pinup, 34De-36(finally created a non-exploding WSO), FitChick, RIO, Sassy Curvy and Sussi. Each is separated so you can pick your preferences. Bodyshape credits go to Maxis, Marvine, Ocelotekatl, Poppeboy, Warlokk, Julie J and SussiSoGood and all meshes include curvy/curvier and preg morphs. Textures(14) are the same as the originals. Wedge credit goes to DallasGirl79(Imaginary Boutique 4to2 conversion) and boot credit goes Sentate(OGSnarf 4to2 conversion). Special thanks to Ocelotekatl(Blue Heaven Sims)for the WSO tutorial. Sims 2 Uberhood Bodyshape Spreadsheet

Well, er, that's a bit of a mouthful.

A few days ago I posted a query about how simmers handle bodyshapes in TS2 so far as Uberhoods - and the consensus was to let a randomizer do it for me.

I figured I would share that randomizer here!

Included is a comprehensive list of each Sim included in a full Uberhood (plus Tutorial Joe and Tutorial Jane as I also have them!). Once you have the spreadsheet up and running, make sure to set calculation to random so that it doesn't update every time you adjust a body type - as I have added a column for if you decide you don't like the body type given or wanted to give them a specific body, you can just type the adjusted body type there! For example, I have not included Dummy Thicc within the randomizable bodytypes, but I wanted the Calientes to have that shape, therefore I typed 'Dummy Thicc' under the Adjusted BodyType column next to their names.

To stop the spreadsheet updating, go to Options, Calculation options, Workbook Calculation, and then click Manual. You can then press F9 to have it automatically reset to randomise!

You can adjust the bodytypes whenever you want by adjusting the formula. For the sake of my preferences, I have made the default Maxis shape show up most often.

Goofing around with a more genetically accurate Jane Sims since the tutorial sims with baby faces got uploaded to MTS. The things I do for genetically accurate sims. The two versions of Jane are in the center with the matching dresses. The left Jane is just the daughter of the original Roger and Peggy, who both are template faces. The Jane on the right is the child of a version of Roger and Peggy who are children of Jane's grandparents. So genetically correct all the way up. So GC Roger is the cowboy on the right with both of his parents behind him. GC Peggy is on the left with her parents to the left of her. Lots of fun honestly.

Very small differences between ts2 ultimate collection and ts2 super collection

Note: this is NOT meant to bash either of the versions or users; I just want to point out small differences I noticed. (also, this list is likely incomplete)

- Ts2 sc does NOT include: teenAP, free time EP, mansion and gardenAP, apt lifeEP, ikeaAP, h&mAP, celebrationsAP, kitchen and bathAP

- these versions of when you click on the sims 2 icon to play the game; one when the computer has an internet connection, the other without one (as for 2023)

- instead of the plumbob being used as a credit icon, it's (still) the maxis logo. And the "share on thesims2.com" icon and other things that link to the website are greyed out and not clickable. Other icons that would direct to the website, are gone too.

- in ts2 uc sometimes there's a text in the corner that says "v1." followed by a bunch of numbers. Ts2 sc doesnt have this.

- in the tutorial gameplay part 2 (UC), Jane Sim has a burnt meal memory with the title: "burned Tutorial Jane Sim". In SC, this has been changed to "burned Mac and Cheese".

- SC still gets general bug fixes (last one in 2021) but also price increases; it was €30 in 2022 in the app store, in 2023 it is €35.

- in TS2 SC, in the middle of game play, relationships with sims that are not part of the household can disappear from the relationship panel. However, reloading the household fixes this issue
