For today's Throwback Thursday, we have the final work of Sondheim's inaugural production of Here We Are. An absolute mindfuck if you ask me. The chemistry of this cast is fabulous.

Notes: MP4 format. Filmed from center central orchestra. Mix of wide shots & zooms. Some dude’s stupid head creates obstruction in wide shots, but for most zooms you can’t tell anywhere near as much. Barely any dropouts in Act 1, a handful in Act 2, the longest being shy of a minute due to changing my battery. Washout primarily during Marian & the bear. This show is weird af. NFS forever except through master and NFT through January 24, 2029.

Mini explanation for how I color. Please note this isn't a how to or tutorial, just an explanation for how I do it. fyi i never claimed to be good at explaining things ;-;

Transcription under cut if you can't read my handwriting

1- Lay down flats + Lock layer opacity

This makes it so you don't have to worry about accidentally coloring outside of area

2- Basic Shadows

Lots of triangular shapes in general areas shadows would be [under/behind other hair & along bottom]. I find that going darker + more vibrant + towards colder colors works best for me.

3- More details to shadows. I like to use hatching for certain parts. Also add a slightly blue-ish color. An easy way to do this is selecting a blue around the same darkness and using a brush with opacity that's pressure sensitive. Color used - How it comes out

4- Screen tones in a really vibrant color and done! Hope this helps~
