I used to have a ritual for every time I came back to TS2, where the very first session of my life sim binge would be just several hours of tutorial gameplay, culminating in a glorious exit without saving. Those were the days.

Do you have any tips on drawing muscles? 

The best tip I can give is to make sure you know what kind of body you're drawing! There are different types of muscle that work in different ways.

For example:

Joe's muscle is different from Charlie's muscle!

One has more body fat, the muscle that Joe has is more of a natural strength of being a middle-aged guy who drinks semi-frequently and carries heavy weaponry all day long. Take note of how little definition there is more focusing on the volume of the body. These are BIG dudes who are built like walls, there's a lot of MASS.

While Charles is way more defined It tells me that these guys deliberately worked to get that body they have with a lot of time focusing on different parts of their muscles. With these types of bodies, you more focus on the big important parts rather than the small itty bitty little details that won't make much of a difference or overdoing it to the point characters look shrink-wrapped and constantly flexing

we don't want our characters to look so...tight.

How I make my edits!

Step 1: decide on a subject and get a good picture to use

I have decided to use this image of Billie Joe Armstrong

There are plenty of places to get images from, Tumblr blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, Wikia if it's a fictional character, and the tried and true method of google images. Screenshotting also works sometimes but make sure you get a good screenshot

Step 2: put the image in editing programs

I use ibispaint x so i can work on mobile

Step 3: duplicate the layer with the photo and carefully erase the eyes on one layer

This is easier with 2d characters where the paint bucket tool is useful, otherwise use the eraser tool

Step 4: add the spiral eyes on a layer below it

If you are bad at drawing perfect circles, ibispaint x has a circle ruler tool that helps

Step 5: color in the spirals with the kaa eyes colors!

I use the second encounter colors, the first encounter colors and the colors in The Jungle Book 2 are different, make sure to use the right colors if the coil renders are from the right part, I am doing the second encounter as the colors would fit.

The kaa eyes colors are in this pattern

The hex codes are 60B4A6, 7378F0, and A2A429

I suggest coloring in on a layer below the outlines of the spirals

You dont have to make both eyes at the same sequence in patterns... unless you want, I dont judge

Now for the progress so far!

Step 7: time to add the coils! The best part!

I just import the renders first, this is very simple so it may not need all of these renders, but it might need more

I duplicate the renders just in case, lower the opacity, and move them

I may add more to fill in the gaps, using some erasing, I cannot post more photos as on mobile I have a smaller limit

Then i do more erasing to make it look more realistic, reducing the opacity as I erase

Then I add some more stuff and there we go

This is a very simple edit though, more complex methods require more complex images
