if dorian didn't show up, do you think louis would have shot minnie?
I do. I know some people think either he wouldn't have or he would've missed so that's why the writers had him shoot Dorian instead, but mmmmmm no, I don't personally think so. I like to think that if he had taken the shot, his shaky hands would've caused him to shoot her fatally.
Mostly because I'm already so normal about the fact that of the Ericson crew, Marlon and Louis are the only ones with a body count. Well, that we know of, but shown to us in the game, at least. Plus, we know it's Louis' first kill.
Like yeah, Clementine and AJ become part of the crew and they have bigger body counts, and if we're counting indirect kills caused by actions, then Tenn has a count... and I guess everyone has blood on their hands for blowing up the boat... but I'm talking about killed directly with a weapon like....... I lied, I'm not normal about that at all, Louis and Marlon are the ones who have killed someone in Louis' route. I'm also not normal about the fact that Louis kills Dorian and then even as he's clearly in shock, he tries to go with Clementine to get AJ, and then later on when they talk about it, he says it feels like bile but not quite and he's glad he has it in him to do it.... listen, listen, listen... I'm obsessed with that.
Anyway, so if Louis shot Minerva, I think he would've accidentally killed her and can you imagine? He's already enough of a mess after killing the woman who pinned him down and tried to cut his finger off [or succeeded] but he knew Minerva, they were friends before the twins were taken. Even Violet couldn't kill her even though that would've been the smarter thing to do, and we know thanks to meta knowledge that killing her would've saved lives, but Violet couldn't, and I don't think Louis would intentionally either.
Speaking of Violet, if Louis killed Minerva, I hate to think about what that would've done to Vi. I think she might've actually left at that point, like what was planned before it got changed to her being burned. I don't think she would've attacked Louis over it, though, like yeah she attacked Clementine in the cell but Louis? I don't know, but I don't think so just because it's Louis and he'd be a mess about it anyway.
Though if he did kill her, it would be a neat parallel to draw... y'know, because Louis forgave AJ for killing Marlon even though he was pissed and heartbroken, and Violet was annoyed with him the entire time... but could she ever forgive Louis for killing Minerva? Y'know? We already have a similar parallel with AJ shooting Tenn, but still.
If Clementine killed Minerva in that moment, though, then I could see Violet attacking her since in her eyes, Clem proved her right.
So yeah, I get why they added the Dorian kill to his route. It adds another compelling element to Louis as a character, but we also need Minerva alive for episode 4; Louis can't kill her, he can't miss, and he's not going to stay with her because we need Violet to stay on the boat and him to be on shore for all routes.

then lemme be your first request for Omar! >:3
May I request Omar hcs with an S/O who loves to help him cook? They’re very good too!
Omar x Cook reader
There was ONE time Omar let someone help him cook
And unfortunately, that person was Louis
It all went to hell so quick
Louis was complaining about only getting stew to eat and Omar grew tired of his complaining
“You want someone else so bad? You try then.”
He then left Louis UNOCCUPIED in the kitchen
With an open flame and food
Omar came back and almost passed out when he saw Tenn crying in the corner
Willy talking to the fire
You trying to put it out with Vi
Mitch laughing his ass off
Marlon and Louis holding onto each other and screaming in terror
Assim clinging to life with Ruby
AJ trying to help Clem
Clementine also trying to put out the fire but it somehow got bigger
And Ruby finding a fire extinguisher and dousing everyone
Louis somehow lit the stew on fire
I think Omar is traumatized
Louis has now been banned from any and all kitchen related duties and tools
Omar when you first came and asked him to help him cook was pretty hesitant
Thats a big step now hold on
He gave you a chance eventually
He just prefers to be the cook because he is amazing at it
You needed to negotiate the HELL out of a deal to help him
After you first helped him it wasn’t too bad
Omar actually liked you helping him cook
And your cooking was actually really good!
He secretly was getting tired of being the only one able to cook around Ericson
So he’s happy all around
So relieved actually
Poor dude needs a break
He liked planning cooking/dinner dates for you both sometimes!
They may be rare but they’re really cool!
He and you cook whatever you two can and have dinner!
He helps you when you need help with cooking and you help him!
But don’t change anything please
This guy is a perfectionist
Don’t push your luck and please don’t mess anything up
Because he will ban you like he banned Louis
But it’s out of love

why do u think so many ppl hate louis :(
Simple answer: Because of Episode 2 and because of Clouis shippers. And the same goes for Violentine shippers and Episode 3.
Long answer: I think Louis hate from the gaming standpoint stems from a few things
- His unseriousness, which can also be seen as a good thing for some players
- Voting AJ and Clem out, which is probably justified. While you could argue that Marlon was a huge threat to the group, he's still Lou's best friend. Counterpoint tho, Violet does the same with Minerva. Let's not act like you haven't been in scenarios like that before, its normal human instinct to feel devastated or to feel abandoned.
- And from the fanbase standpoint, I think it's obvious. Some people are... very weird about people disagreeing with their opinion. If I say I like Violet, it doesnt mean I hate Louis. 😭
All in all, I do think the whole hate for Louis or Vi is ridiculous, and it's only done because the two fanbases are toxic as hell. You can like a character and also like another one, it's not that hard.
In the end, we all know canonically Louis and Violet are close friends, so most likely, them two and Clementine become the three close friends after the events of S4, regardless of who gets kidnapped and who gets romanced/befriended.
