What’s My headcanon? Thank you so much for asking. The watchers slowly took over Scott’s body as the season progressed. The real Scott is trapped by the watchers in the void while ‘watcher puppet’ Scott roams the server as their spy.

though honestly it was moreso like his personality was overlooked bc a lot of the stuff ive seen has just been surface level “sorry for being a victim of my shallow emotions” rather then seeing him as the one guy who felt disgust and guilt at his idolization of till- which is fair! idolizing actual people *is* weird! ivans character is important because he saw through anakt garden

BUT WHATEVER

ITS THE WAY THAT MIZI'S CHEERFUL FRONT IS SUCH A FEMININE THING AS WELL (bc there was a *reason* gender was brought up)- AND THAT FRONT BECAME WHAT'S VALUABLE ABOUT HER

EVERYTHING SUCKS BUT YOU ARENT ALLOWED TO LOOK UPSET OR ANGRY AND YOU CANT BE UGLY ABOUT IT OR YOU LOOK UNREASONABLE AND YOU LOSE PPL

and mizi is angry and NATURALLY it spills out sometimes and she,. yk. feels

and from what i've seen with the scene with sua, sua fell for the facade too; once again, even though the romance in alien stage is genuine, its of a deifying nature. sua idolizes mizi as a positive person with a lot of charisma. to sua as well, that front IS mizi- resultantly, mizi is deprived of being seen as a person by her lover

in general this comic from what ive seen was a self-reflection about each instance that her facade broke and the guilt that came from it

BUT ITS LIKE SOME FANS LOOK AT MIZI AND EVEN IVAN AND ITS LIKE ALL THEY WANT TO SEE IS THE SHIP THEYRE TIED TO AND IT FEELS ESPECIALLY DISRESPECTFUL TO MIZI AFTER THIS COMIC BC SHE WANTS SO BADLY TO BE SEEN AS A PERSON

which is probably why some fans disliked the comic honestly. bc its a comic that says. yeah. you can't just tie mizi to mizisua or make her a plot accessory to ivantill or look at her like a cardboard cutout. mizi has volume.

tony saying he isn’t a nerd but then pulling out the most specific literature fact like it’s common knowledge and also saying he has no strange habits but then pickpocketing, sneaking into an employee computer kiosk, meeting up at the local high school with some random cryptic person he met on the internet with a bat, and breaking into his school after hours and using the librarian’s computer unauthorized, all for something that just began as a topic for a school assignment… he’s so crazy yet so unaware of it I love him. hope he dies in a glue trap today because Tony Becker you ARE the STRANGE HABITS..!!💥💥

omg I was literally just thinking of this hdjshfjiwid you have no idea how excited I was to see you say this, Santi!! This could be SUCH an interesting sub plot

I'm just thinking of the aftermath of Roach's almost death where he's picked up by Shadows and specifically being looked after by Graves

I understand Graves is a cocky backstabber, but his relationship with his Shadows genuinely does seem pretty wholesome, I can imagine if he got a new recruit he'd be a very attentive mentor ( I rewatched the scene in MWII where Graves keeps calling out to his downed Shadows and urging Shepherd to send backup for them, like he def cares for his men)

I was also thinking of having Graves be the one to teach Roach ASL because oof think of that extra internal conflict when Roach has to choose between helping the 141 and staying loyal to SC and specifically the man who helped him adapt to military life post-injury ughhhh

Literally, any Roach-centric pairing has me in a chokehold. Angst for days, I love it.

I feel like this could go either two ways:

Graves genuinely does care for Roach's wellbeing (as seen in canon with his actual shadows) and develops a close bond while helping Roach recover from his injuries (could lead to some interesting dynamics between Graves, the 141, and Shepherd)

or, Graves is fully on board with Shepherd's plan to use Roach as leverage against the 141 and only pretends to form a bond with him (just more trauma for Roach lol poor guy)

either way, they'd lead to some good conflict

and if you factor in the whole GhostRoach focus of this AU, I think adding a GravesRoach sub plot would be extra juicy (think of Ghost's reaction when he finds out Roach is alive and all personal with the commander of SC)
